You are invited to the marriage of a ….HOODIE…& A…..BLAZER……..a HOOZER??….a BLADIE???……….Anyway….think of the TSV PEPLUM JACKET, without the peplum……and add a HOOD…….I wanted to bring together the comfort and casualness of a sweat shirt hoodie, and to update the classic blazer……To do it in the LINEA PONTE…was a natural. I realize this may be a new concept for some…..but it really is…. besides being different and a little dramatic….very practical……..When the weather starts to really get cold….tuck one side of the lapel in and wrap the other side on top….wear your coat over the jacket with the hood worn UP, and wrap a POSH KNIT MUFFLER around your neck…..when you arrive at your destination….say work……you have on a polished blazer with an….. EDGE! ……If I were doing this “BLADIE”  for a true runway show…I would do it in LEATHER with a JERSEY HOOD…or in PINSTRIPES with a CHIFFON HOOD, but this is QVC, and offering a  BLAZER with a HOOD ……in PONTE KNIT, for me, is the PERFECT COMBINATION. I know that most of the time the hood will be worn down, and indoors it is meant to be, but on the occasions when there is a chilly wind in the air….say at your child’s soccer game or a football game, wouldn’t it be nice to throw the hood up and get the chill off of your neck……With a Turtle neck or Tee shirt and JEANS….you’ll be the best looking and most avant guard mom or grand mom out there………nothing wrong with that!  This would be a wonderful way to dress for a Sunday brunch with friends…..The concept of a blazer with a hood is not so out there, and I would guess it has been done before….probably by designers like Jean Paul Gautier or Azzedine Alaia……….after all it’s not a jacket with THREE SLEEVES!
The JACKET, A237551, is made in the …..LINEA PONTE…….I took the TSV PEPLUM JACKET and revised it. It is still a three button front and is basically the same length. For this jacket…the COMPLETE body is LINED, but the sleeves and hood are not. This gives you MAXIMUM comfort. The sleeves are easy to push up if you so desire,  and keeping the hood unlined avoids any slipping! The sleeves are long, and the hem of the sleeve has a new treatment. It is finished with a band….as a sweat shirt would be. There is also the addition of a front and back YOKE to give it an even more SPORTSWEAR LOOK………..This is a …..FITTED JACKET……..there is a full body seam down the front….from the yoke to the hem and an additional front DART. In the back there are THREE BODY SEAMS from the yoke to the HEM . I think from the photos you can see what a great shape it has. ALL OF THE SEAMS, YOKE,  HOOD & FRONT ARE TOP STITCHED to accentuate the LINES of the jacket……. This is definitely a little more shaped than the TSV jacket, so….if you are between sizes, closer to the larger size, I would say to size up one size……if you thought the TSV jacket was a little bit roomy for you…. than buy the size you bought in that jacket, and this one should be perfect . If you like your jackets to fit closer to the body….go with your normal size.It’s really the waist shape that  is a little smaller….BUT and it’s a BIG BUT….this applies for the missy sizes only…as the plus sizes are fit on a plus model and have separate patterns. It will also depend how you like to button your jackets. If you wear them open…no problems….otherwise I think you should  button the top one or the top two, but that’s just how I like them, and it gives the hips a little more room.. In the photos above, I also have all three buttons…buttoned so you can see the jacket completely closed. The jacket has band POCKETS……..I have dressed the mannequin with the WK classic jewel neck sweater in IVORY, A237405…a must have for layering…..I like it peeking out from the bottom of the jacket….the matching ponte pant, A237394…OLO, and it is almost sold out….just a few left in larger sizes, and the new POSH KNIT MUFFLER……the SILVER WAVE NECKLACE & EARRING finishes the look. Always check the QVC measurements when they are posted. …………..WINE……..is the second color being offered in the HOODED BLAZER, A237551. Again, if you liked the peplum TSV jacket, I think you will love this one too! I remember when the peplum first came out…it caused a lot of controversy….A PEPLUM….OH NO….it’s going to make my bum look too big..it’s going to do this …it’s going to do that……..I’m expecting this new jacket will get the same reaction….but after all is said and done….it’s simply a FUN NEW JACKET…..not as strange as you first might think. It’s casual for weekend dressing, but appropriate for the work place too……….it’s a JACKET WITH AN ….EDGE!!…. If you think it may be TOO different….then it may not for you……BUT…..if you are always looking for something new and fun….and practical too….trust me….give it a try….As it happened with the Peplum jacket….I know you will want more than one. Above, Ms. Mannequin has on the CAMEL POSH KNIT TURTLENECK, A83962, that I will be showing on my Sept 24th , 5:00pm show…..and JEANS…..If there were ever a jacket I see being worn with jeans…IT’S THIS ONE…..For fun and a little color I have the MULTI COLOR SEED BEAD NECKLACE, J278123, and the WINE DROP EARRING, J271863 which QVC calls…BLACK??? don’t ask me why…I have no answer…. Also,the CHANDELIER EARRING, J270116, works perfectly with this necklace……………At some point in our lives we all need casual  clothes…..I try to bring you clothes that can bridge both…casual and professional………enjoy……much Love…..Louis

The next color I am offering to you in the PONTE HOODED BLAZER, A237551 is…..BLACK………..For a more PROFESSIONAL LOOK, I have paired the jacket with the Whisper Knit SHAWL COLLAR SWEATER, A237409, in the TOPAZ color with the RAYON/SPAN jersey BOOT SKIRT, A229474, I have also placed the new GOLDEN BROWN BROACH, J284040, through her lapel. This is definitely a POWER way to look. The fourth and last color being offered in the PONTE HOODED BLAZER, A237551, is…………SAPPHIRE………….This is not Lapis nor is it Limoges Blue…..these colors do not work with Sapphire, which has more purple in it….It is a beautiful VIBRANT color….If you liked the Limoges and the Lapis you will love this SAPPHIRE too. I have chosen to show the SAPPHIRE BLUE jacket in a very BOLD, SHARP and MODERN color combination…..blocks of color if you will. I have the WK classic IVORY JEWEL NECK SWEATER, A237405 with the new WK V-NECK TUNIC SWEATER, A237411, in BLACK….with the new PONTE PANT A237394….also in BLACK. A237558, is the style number for the new…. VEST……The look is QUILTED, but it is NOT a quilted fabric. The fabric is actually a JACQUARD KNIT, so the diamond pattern is knitted into the fabric. Therefore there is no additional padding that is usual with a quilted garment……NO BULK!!!!….. The vest is very light weight and  maybe slightly thicker that the LINEA PONTE, but only slightly. Since this is a knitted fabric there was no need to line the garment and it has maximum STRETCH! There is a slight sheen to the fabric which high lights the quilted effect. My photos make the sheen look more than it is due to the flash. The vest has a stand collar. There is a two way zipper down the front so you can wear it a multitude of ways. The color above is the …………….CADET BLUE………which is a grayed blue…..very denim friendly The vest has PRINCESS SEAMS for shape, and there are invisible zipper pockets in the seams….look closely you may not see them! The color of the two way zip is GUNMETAL. This is a 100% polyester fabric, so it is totally washable. I love this worn alone, as above, with a black knit pencil skirt….the white Kate shirt and the new POSH KNIT ELBOW SLEEVE MOCK NECK in the RASPBERRY color………….I have some jewelry suggestions…..the SILVER or GUNMETAL SWIRL earring or the DEMI HOOP….the GUNMETAL HAMMERED LINK and BEAD NECKLACE, the SILVER PANTHER LINK WATCH…….THE LOVE KNOT NECKLACES or the MULTI CROSS NECKLACE and EARRINGS all work to create fun looks.
