SNEAK PEEK #7

SNEAK PEAK #7 is the A219799, Python jersey surplus top. The jersey fabric is the same as my medallion, cheetah, and floral print jersey tops. The colors are Blue, Green, Black and Raspberry [which should have been called Cassis because it matches perfectly]. The top drapes from a neck band, around the neck and down across the body on both sides. The drapes are controlled at the side seam by a series of pleats. The neckline can be worn as high and conservative as you like or as low as you would like. Once you adjust it to how you want it…..it will stay without worrying about it shifting. The fit on this top is very important. I strongly feel this style of top should be FITTED! There is a lot of stretch to this fabric, and because of the amount of fabric, due to the draping,  going down a size is something I recommend. I know some of you will  quickly think….”my lumps and bumps will show”, but the print and the draping it is very concealing. You don’t want to be wearing a SAGGY jersey top. The top in the photos is an XS…..remember you want it to stretch across the hip….not just sit there. I happen to think it’s a great top for women with hips. If you have small hips DEFINITELY size down. It really is a top for ALL size and shape women. About the print: it is a Python print which is trending stronger and stronger in the market at EVERY price range. I HATE snakes too, but this is a very pretty one! Gucci did EVERYTHING in Python print this fall and this print is just just as beautiful at a fraction of the price. They will also be strong for next spring/summer. When I saw the first strike offs of the print for my approval, they were horrible. They looked like one muddy blur and they had no definition at all. I had them do them all over until I was satisfied…..I am more than satisfied….I think they look terrific. All of the color ways can be worn with black. The black combination has a lot of taupe in it so it looks great with not only black, but taupe and espresso brown. I have it shown with the new longer knit pencil skirt in black, A219798. The blue has  different shades of blue, from very pale to navy, so it is a natural with jeans as well as dress pants or skirts. The green works beautifully with everything SPRUCE GREEN, as you can see in the photo to your upper left. I have it paired with the A210358, Spruce Green suede jacket and the S. Green knit pencil skirt. It works just as well with the new green pucker skirt, and all of the textures together are incredible….PURE designer. The “Raspberry” is photographed with the Cassis knit riding skirt…..throw the Black, zip front suede jacket with the knit trims over it and WOW…….”who wouldn’t want to look……….”. This is also a great top to wear under jackets and v-neck cardigans. This top looks wonderful with the new pucker suits. Accessorize or not….it really needs very little…..a belt looks great if you are so inclined…….it’s up to you. Again, this top has no season, it’s packable and easy care……..a terrific and sophisticated addition to your wardrobes…….Attention!!!!!!!…….this top will be on the Morning Show, Dec. 12th!!!!!!…………….much Love, Louis

Sneak Peak #6

SNEAK PEEK #6 is the A218574, rayon/spandex jersey top with waterfall sequins and self tie belt. The colors are black with gunmetal/silvery small square sequins or steel gray with the same gunmetal/silvery sequins. The fabric is super soft and feels on the body the way you would want an evening top to feel …..very luxurious. The sequins are machine sewn, which makes them very secure. The neckline has a slight scoop, not too low but enough so the neckline is open and feminine. The sleeve bottom is slim and has an elastic ruching so if you wish to push them up, you can without them sliding down……it’s all about comfort. Of course this is a great top for travel and it’s easy care. I have paired the black top with the A217982, silver/black lurex skirt and the steel gray top with the A217986, steel gray knit riding skirt. Of course there are many options for what you can wear as a bottom to theses two tops…..pants, pencil skirts, and black or gray jeans for a less formal evening with friends. I have also shown the A218570, faux suede jacket in the black/gunmetal combination because I think it is the perfect jacket to wear with these tops plus the black/silver lurex and the black/silver sequin cowl top from the last show. The question always comes up….”what jacket can I wear over this?” I think the faux suede is the perfect answer because it looks right, it’s comfortable and it can be worn inside as a regular jacket. I want to bring your attention to the tie belt because I have tied it a little differently. 1- fold it in half so you have a loop on one end and the two loose ends at the other side 2-Place the loop at you waist in the center front. 3- bring the two loose ends around your back to the front and bring them through the loop 4- this is the tricky part*** separate the two streamers and bring one to the right and one to the left and tie them in the back. IF there are “tails” you can tuck them in. When you tie the belt this way it keeps the front clean without the need for a bow or streamers hanging down. It works best on stretch fabrics…..I think with all the holidays coming up and beyond…..this top will be just what you may need………..Happy Holidays!………much Love, Louis

Sneak Peak #5

“SNEAK PEEK #4” is  of the A219791, pucker jacket and the A219792, matching skirt. The jacket shape is very similar to the A210370, graphite essential jacket. There will always be slight differences due to the different fabrics and the way they feel, however they are similar enough to order the same size. The weight of the jacket and skirt make it suitable for at least 3 seasons. This jacket, unlike the graphite one, has long sleeves. The V-neckline is high enough to be able to wear with nothing under it but, it looks great with a variety of tops under it too…….from a simple tank or cami to the silver and black sequin shell, A218568 [pictured above], the silver lurex top , to the new python print jersey top A219799……but that will get it’s own sneak peek. The jacket has body seams from the shoulder to the hem so the fit glides along the shape of your body without being tight or boxy. You can see in the background the texture of this unique fabric. The nature of the fabric is super soft and very light weight even though it tailors very well. The button was created exclusively for this jacket and has a great weight so it feels expensive. There are three beautiful bound buttons which is a sure sign of quality. There are vertical  band pockets that are aprox. 3/8ths of an inch wide and melt away into the fabric. It is totally lined. The skirt is a simple slim skirt with a side zipper and a narrow 5/8ths inch bias waist band. This skirt may be simple but it also make a fabulous separate skirt……..so don’t think you can only wear it with the matching jacket….for example: the  black suede zip front jacket with knit trims, the black python print and the black pucker skirt….the spruce green suede jacket the green python and the green pucker skirt [in photo above]………mix your textures! The colors  for both pieces are Black and Spruce Green. The most accurate color of the green is the small photo in the upper right, [the close up is much too light due to the flash. Notice the Linea Gray pearls on the black suit [there are two strands doubled up] The dark green pearls are also perfect with the Spruce Green suit. Of course the Byzantine necklace and cross is spectacular on the green and these pictures do not do them justice. I also have the new black pant [from sneak peek #1]  with the black jacket and the sequin top. I love the sequin and/ or the silver lurex top with the black jacket for those special occasions c0ming up and they don’t clash with the button……which is a small but important detail. I know you are going to love this suit for so many reasons: the easy style and care, great for travel, the comfort and the fact that it looks like you paid a small fortune for it. If I saw a woman walking into a room and I knew nothing about this outfit…..I would certainly think  she was wearing an expensive designer suit……………..enjoy……………much Love, Louis

Sneak Peak #4

“SNEAK PEEK #4

Sneak Peek #4 is the A219793, faux suede shirt in Purple, Avocado and Espresso Brown. The style and body of the shirt is taken from the “ROBYN” shirt. What ever size you ordered and liked in the Robyn…. you should order the same size! The only difference between the two, style wise is………I removed the collar stays. I was afraid, after a while, they would leave marks  in the suede fabric. You can wear this style as a shirt or as a shirt jacket, dressy or casual, belted or not, layered or not……..it’s extremely versatile and easily works no matter what your life style is, and it’s washable too. The colors in the photos are pretty accurate except where the flash lightened and brighten them……so refer to the purple photo on the upper left, the Avocado on the lower right and the Espresso is deep, dark and rich! I have chosen to style the purple with the white “Kate” shirt and the purple crushed velvet skirt…..a perfect Holiday look or….. just when you want to look extra special…..you know what I mean…..when you show up somewhere [even at the office] and you want everyone to go WOW! I also accessorized the outfit with two Linea gold chain necklaces, a gold woven belt and my signature beret in violet. It’s easy and most important….it’s comfortable. Remember what Coco Chanel said….. ” if it’s not comfortable it’s not luxurious”……. I love the Avocado and it really says “Fall” to me…… I have shown it as a shirt with the Espresso straight essential Roma ponte knit skirt that many of you own. I have accessorized it with lots of natural sienna, and amber beads, a sporty russet leather belt with antique brass hardware, luggage color “Boar” suede gloves and my signature brown beret and tortoise sunglasses……who doesn’t want to look like that! LOL. The Espresso I have chosen to show in  a look that is PURE AMERICAN SPORTSWEAR! The ivory Linea turtleneck under the Espresso suede shirt and the Taupe chenille blazer. I love all the mixture of textures. I have it with the taupe crepe pants from seasons past or you can wear an espresso, sand or even a WINTER WHITE pant for that 30s Hollywood Carol Lombard look! Pure chic and totally sophisticated. You can belt the shirt if it’s worn under the jacket or leave it unbelted. Another photo shows it worn open as a shirt jacket with the turtleneck……… belted with a vintage Gucci horse head buckled, brown lizard belt.

I hope I’m not over loading you with sneak peeks, but since these are my last fall/winter shows for the season [Jan. starts Spring], I thought these shows HAD to be extra special! There are still more sneak peeks to come!!!!!!

………………………………………much Love, Louis
