………………….ANGELA & CHANTAL…..are coming today for a THREE DAY STAY!…….It has been a long time since they have been able to come….conflicting schedules!…….but they will be here for….HALLOWEEN….a first!…and we’re going out to dinner….in COSTUMES!!!….Chantal will be making dinner tonight, but I’m in charge of….DESERT!…..I’ve been requested to make two things…………PUMPKIN CHEESE CAKE….which I will serve with CINNAMON infused fresh WHIPPED CREAM!….and my PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES with a HERSHEY KISS on top…….I’ve never made a Pumpkin Cheesecake, so it’s a first for me, but it looks GREAT……I only pray it tastes the way it looks……If all else fails……I’ll always have the COOKIES!!!!!……LOL

……………..When Chris comes to my home it’s always a special time for the both of us, and I always want it to be a comfortable, relaxing place for him to unwind from his busy, hectic and many times exhausting stressful life!….I always ask Chris what he would like me to cook for dinner, and he wanted Uncle Lou’s meatloaf, my roasted potatoes, and a huge mixed salad which he really enjoys….He brought the desert, which he gets at an incredible bakery near him…..He brought me a huge pastry Lobster Claw FILLED with French cream, and Cannoli, but the shell of the Cannoli is made out of thin sugared donut pastry!…….They are incredible!!!….I also made two banana loafs with walnuts and lots of chocolate chips……one for him to take home, along with the meatloaf and potatoes, and one for me to share with friends….After dinner we sat by the fire and talked while listening to music as he enjoyed his cigar…….It was a wonderful day and evening for both of us!

………………I always want it to be a special time when my Godson, Christopher comes to visit me……..I want him to relax, and have the tensions of his life melt away…..a true respite…….He does love to eat, and I love to cook for him, because I know he really appreciates all the effort I make for him to have a good time………….and we always do………..He really enjoys his visits with Uncle Lou.

…………………I always love when my nephew Christopher comes to visit his Uncle Lou…………I don’t get to see him as often as I would like……distance, work and life can keep us apart……..so it’s great to spend some alone time with Chris…….We get to talk….We can talk about things he really doesn’t have anyone else to say certain things too, and he can really open up to me…..there is nothing he can’t tell me…..and he knows it will always be between him and me….it’s our special time….our special bond…………Chris may be a 6’3″ burly type of guy, but he really is a SOFTY at heart……kind and many times generous to a fault…..What I also love about Chris is he is surprisingly very CREATIVE!……He loves crafts, and makes the most incredible Holiday wreaths….for all of the Holidays……His autumn. Easter, Halloween and Christmas wreaths are amazing!!!….He, like me, loves to decorate, and always loves and appreciates the way I decorate the house, and my table settings for the Holidays….We always stop off at the store…”TERRAIN”…because they always have wonderful, different things to buy for the Holidays…..They already are set up for Christmas, and I always leave with bags in hand…..This time I bought a grapevine tall Christmas tree with tiny LED lights all over it….What can I say….I’m a real sucker for Holiday decorations….just like him!….For Halloween he decorates his house, and does the best job in the his neighborhood……He sits outside, in a costume, and even has a costume on his beautiful dog Bella. He sets up a HUGE caldron filled to the brim with candy for the kids, and even has a separate table with healthy drinks or the kids, and wine for the adults who would like to share a Holiday toast……He goes beyond the beyond…..that’s what I love about him!…….He also knows everything about everything technical….from cars to trucks…..computers and cell phones etc etc……EVERYTHING his uncle, me, is clueless about!…..So, when he visits I always have a list of things I need help with, and he knocks them, out one by one in no time at all!!!…..He has a long time relationship with his girlfriend, Danielle who is very much in love with him. That makes me very happy……but selfishly I don’t like sharing my time with him…..They are both invited to come to visit me at Christmas time when the house is decorated and the Christmas tree is up, and we will spend a lovely weekend together…..I will make him his favorite LEMON CHEESECAKE….take lots of pictures….and create lots of new memories to share!
