Coming this MAY……….Long dresses……..I have asked myself why long dresses have become so popular, and seem to be here to stay…. My answer is simple….they are just COMFORTABLE!……….One piece dressing is so easy…..With a more casual lifestyle, and warmer weather, the need  for less complication is paramount, and these dresses fill the bill………….What makes this one special is the PRINT……….Again, this is a engineered placement print…….an OMBRE  IKAT type print. The wonderful aspect of ombre prints is how slenderizing they are. Your eye naturally follows the ombre  up and down, and when you add a  print  pattern on top [in this case the pattern is also ombred] it provides slenderizing camouflage…..The dress is approx. 49 inches long, so I would call it a long dress, not a maxi….unless you are a petite. The dress will come in the one length. The SABRINA neckline is very flattering…..The dress is numerically sized, has a semi fit, a back zipper and a hook and eye at the top. There is a lining, but only the top is lined to give the dress a CLEAN FINISH. The bottom of the dress isn’t lined …..none needed….There is an above the waist seam with soft pleats. The placement of the seam is very important, because a raised seam adds length to the skirt which again, gives a longer slimmer effect…..There are inseam POCKETS!……. The color above is simply called ….BLUE….but there are many shades of blue starting with INDIGO at the top to a beautiful AQUA at the bottom….with many shades of blue in between…..The fabric is my polyester jersey that I have used many times before, and has been extremely successful…….washable…packable….great for travel……….For an easy cover up…..I just chose my denim jean jacket in the Indigo, Bleached Denim and White……..Three easy choices…………Can’t you see a summer WEDDING PARTY in these dresses….what fun!…..A263354 is the style number…………………….enjoy…………………………much Love………………….Louis

………………………….Working on the color combinations for this print was a lot of fun…..This is a good case where computers save a lot of time and work…..plug in the color and voila……Change one and you have a very subtle or dramatic change………..The combination above is called…………….GOLDENROD……………starting with a deep dark ESPRESSO BROWN at the top…transitioning to a tinted white, and continuing down to what I call Goldenrod……A263354….. For me this is a unique, more unusual sophisticated color combination which will attract those women who are always looking for something different. Due to the Espresso on top there is a more neutral feeling about these colors, but this is definitely a combination that will attract attention…….Topaz and Citrine stones work beautifully with this print…….or…….Chocolate , Gold and Gunmetal accessories will also be perfect to compliment the colors………………………………………………………………….

………………….When OMBRE prints truly work…..they are mesmerizing…….you simply can not stop looking at them…..That is how I feel about this ombre print…in all three colors…….MAGENTA….. A263354….is the third combination being offered in this dress. At the top…..it starts with the deepest Blackberry and Dark Plum, and then works its’ way down to all shades of magenta and Pink…..with an area of tinted white just to enhance all of the colors……..Please notice how the ombre flows seamlessly from the top down to the bottom…..even though there is a raised waist seam…….the progression of color is SEAMLESS…. This does not happen by CHANCE….This is all preplanned before the dress pattern is finalized. This is truly DESIGNER WORKMANSHIP, and a detail that many would take for granted and would go unnoticed. However, these are the kinds of details that either make a design successful….or not…….Worn over the shoulders is a new WK ENR BOLERO in IVORY, which is the perfect little cover up over everything….it will be avail in BLACK too, but you must be patient as it will be avail a little later in the season. It is just the right proportion over long skirts, dresses and maxis. It does not cover too much therefore it elongates the body. Sometimes long sweaters can cut long dresses in half and give a shortened appearance….Long over long only works, IMHO, if you are very tall….A full sneak peek of the Bolero will be coming………This dress really doesn’t need any accessories other than an earring and maybe a bangle or two….the print is STATEMENT enough…..However, if you are in the mood for a little trinket…..the PINK DEW DROP NECKLACE & EARRING are perfect. It adds just a little something special without detracting from the dress at all………….I am very happy….more than happy with the way this dress turned out…..I hope you are too…………………………… …………………………………………………..enjoy…………………………………much Love……………………..Louis
