Above is…..THE WHISPER KNIT BOYFRIEND CARDIGAN…A251578… &….MOCK NECK SWEATER ….A251584…….both in…………..YELLOW……………………………………………………………………………………………………..

FIRST….the name “boyfriend”, for me, is deceiving. I have always designed and thought anything  called “boyfriend”….a jacket…..a shirt….a SWEATER…..as having the look of a  garment that was borrowed from your boyfriend/husband etc……therefore the look and fit would and should be OVER SIZED……….This cardigan however is not!…but since this is the name given to it by QVC….we will refer to it as a “Boyfriend Cardigan”…………….The cardigan actually has a LONG & LEAN LOOK. It has a subtle shape, but it is not tight…..It follows the line of the body so it is not boxy or baggy………..YOU SHOULD STILL BUY YOUR NORMAL SIZE…..but….for those with body issues…….please check the body measurement before purchasing!….especially the waist and hip…..If you have large hips you can always leave the bottom buttons unbuttoned….which I prefer anyway……… The approx length for the XS is 30 inches, so feel free to wear it with leggings, slim pants, regular pants, crops, Capris and shorts…….shirts………pencil skirts, Boho and long slim skirts will all work……..Perfect for all of those SLEEVELESS DRESSES!….. I am sure you will come up with many more styles that will coordinate well with this cardigan…………….This is an UPDATED CLASSIC with a definite EDGE………VERY IMPORTANT….The cardigan is made in the “ENR, [EVERY NEED RIB]” construction, which gives the cardigan more structure and makes into beautiful….PATCH POCKETS!!!!………There will be THREE styles of matching WK sweaters that you will be able to wear with this cardigan………………The TANK, which I will talk about when the picture comes up, and the ELBOW SLEEVE MOCK NECK above, A251584, which will be sold……..OLO…….this month, so be on the look out. I never know when they are going to post the OLO items. Most of the time you EAGLE EYES spot them before I do!!!! LOL. The MOCK NECK is approx 24 inches long for the XS…….24 inches is considered, in the design world, as the classic length for basic sweaters. The sleeve and the mock neck are RIBBED for the PERFECT FIT….not too tight and not too LOOSE………which gives the garment a more youthful appearance. This sweater also has the……WAIST WHITTLING RIB BAND, which so many of you prefer, because of it’s slimming effect. It is due to the rayon/nylon blend of the WK that these ribs work so well. The yarn itself keeps the ribs soft to the touch and prevents  gripping…….so the sweater is very comfortable, especially the mock neck.

YESYESYES………..the little FISHY is coming back!!!!…………and this time it will be offered in SILVER TOO!………………Again, it is double sided with one eye being YELLOW, as above, and the other side being BLUE. For those of you who missed out on the GOLD FISH PENDANT…………..that will be coming back too……….I would suggest ordering as soon as you see it so you don’t have to wait another year……..It will be coming in late Spring. The RED BOYFRIEND SWEATER, A251578 and the RED TANK, A251579………………….This is a PURE RED….a pigment red which is the purest of the PURE. It is not YELLOW,  ORANGE or BLUE. For those who own the RUBY from Fall….this is a lighter, brighter, clearer RED……….a true SPRING/SUMMER…..RED……….I truly can’t think of anyone who would not look good in this color….even RED HEADS! “They” are calling it a tank, but tanks have a scoop neckline…..this is a SHELL WK SWEATER. It has more of a modified BALLET or JEWEL NECKLINE……………….This too is 24 inches long for the XS. It has an easy,  SLIGHTLY fitted shape as the photos show. There really isn’t more for me to say other than this is one of those basic collectable sweaters that everyone needs to  layer, mix and match or where on it’s own . This “tank” will be avail. in ALL of the COLORS the CARDIGAN comes in to create your new Spring/Summer sweater sets……………..I know some will say…”I don’t wear sweaters in the summer”….and I say….”WHY NOT?”….When you go to the movies and restaurants etc etc where the air conditioning is cranked high, and  when the temps are up in the 80s and 90s outside or the air conditioning in your office and car is so cold the windows fog……what do you put on? Why not a WK cardigan? I know some are thinking Spring merchandise now??? It’s still snowing out!!! I understand, but this is the way retailing has been for years and years. Many of us DESIGNERS have argued that point to exhaustion, but stores just can’t get together on this universal change in deliveries…. For it to work and to sell timely clothing…..meaning fall/winter clothes during the fall/winter, and spring /summer during the spring/summer…..they would all have to do it together. Th European stores used to sell during the season, but they too had to change due to the American retailers. The European designers didn’t want to ship their clothes months after the American designer shipped theirs…..So, think of it this way….we have turned the bend and we really only have two and 1/2 more months to go before SPRING. If you don’t take advantage of what is being offered now it may not be around latter………………………….Now….I know you are ogling the NEW NECKLACE!!!!! Yes it will be yours late SPRING…………..If you look real close you will notice I have layered TWO NECKLACES………one is VINTAGE from my collection, and the other is LINEA! The NAVY BOYFRIEND CARDIGAN,  MOCK NECK & TANK. This is my LINEA NAVY that many of you love for its’ dept of color and darkness…..for me a TRUE NAVY BLUE. I realize that all designers have different opinions about what NAVY should look like, but if you have ever seen a REAL NAVY PEA JACKET…..they are DARK & DEEP…..they are not blue or royal……..This should blend with all of your LINEA navies. I say blend because I simply can not guarantee a perfect match from dye lot to dye lot. Every time I repeat a color….any color….the factory sends new lab dips for me to approve? I say use the same color as before…but each time the dye stuffs,[that’s what they are called], have to be remade….so new lab dips to OK……..and the swatches sent are barely 1 inch….and  most times less!…….It ain’t easy folks…..but that goes with the territory…it isn’t all fun and games and drawing pretty pictures!!…LOL/…….Above I have, in some pictures, both the mock neck and the cardigan BELTED…..just another option……………..Yes that is the …….HORSE BIT NECKLACE in the LINEA GOLD which will coordinate with the new SUPER HOOP and will be avail soon???…………scroll down………………………………………..enjoy…..enjoy……………………….much Love…………………………………………………….. I have the set paired with vintage Linea Ivory pants and with the new………….RED PONTE PULL-ON SLIM PANT, that works with the RED WK BEAUTIFULLY!……………BE BOLD…BE BRAVE………………….WEAR RED PANTS!!! It really isn’t so OUT THERE…..for me, it’s rather classic and very NAUTICAL…………………..There is that necklace again……this time in RED…….. ……………..LAST….but certainly not least…….is the BOYFRIEND CARDIGAN & TANK in the……………. TAUPE……………….This is a WONDERFUL NEUTRAL SWEATER and the color came out perfectly…..even if I did have to pick it from a less than one inch sized swatch! For all of you NEUTRAL LOVERS…………this is a MUST HAVE. The mock neck does not come in the TAUPE so your only option for a matched set is the tank…………I predict this will go fast!……….On the bottom I have chosen the GRAY PONTE LEGGING, but the GRAY PONTE SLIM PANT,  both with a bronze ballet flat, would be FABULOUS TOO!………………..I have accessorized the TAUPE CARDIGAN & TANK with my NEW DRIFT WOOD & MOCHA MIST PEARLS……….they are not meant to match……they are meant to HIGHLIGHT…………..IMHO, this is perfection, and the way up dated classics should look. There will also be the set of three bracelets consisting of the Driftwood, Mocha Mist and the BLUE MIST, that would be wonderful with the TAUPE also. The PIERCED or CLIP PEARL STUD EARRING will also be avail in all the colors. I have chosen my SILVER PANTHER LINK WATCH as the watch to wear with these pieces. It has both elegance and makes a strong presence without being heavy and clunky on the wrist….Those type of watches….I find very distracting and take away from the desired effect. For me, heavy looking watches should be worn with jeans….when the clothes are not the focal point………………but that’s just my opinion and the way I see things and how they effect me…………………………A heads up….there will also be another neutral WK coming down the pike……………..it will be called TWIG, and it works beautifully with the TAUPE, which is paler than the TWIG…….all of these shades mixed together look great and of course there will be apparel that pulls it all together……………..down the pike!………………………………………………….enjoy…………….much Love………………………………………………Louis
