Dear Louis,
Your knits continue to enthrall me! I have indulged myself and have ordered several items in advance of your presentations on Monday … such as adding to my WK swing cardigans (own in 5 colours including the new scarlet), WK swing sweaters (own 5 colours and just ordered royal blue) as well as new t-necks in scarlet and winter white! I’ve also purchased the Ponte knit boot cut pants in black and charcoal grey. Thank you for these wonderful new colours!
I believe you noted that the navy ponte knit boot cut pants will be available in October but do you have dates for the WK skirts in scarlet and charcoal grey? What about a date for the WK poncho in scarlet – and will the poncho come in other colours?!?
I look forward to these new items!!!
Dear Merrylass, I have not received dates yet other then Sept 29th and Oct 17th when I will have a 6am, 11am and 3pm…all one hour shows. I have no idea which shows or when these pieces will be made avail…..the poncho will be coming in 2 or 3 more colors….don’t remember exactly.
Thank you – I’ll start checking for the scarlet and charcoal grey skirts next month. I hope the poncho comes in charcoal grey too!
Hmmm, wonder if the WK skirt is coming in other new colours … do I need to buy the blackberry swing sweater to wear with a blackberry WK skirt????
Dear Louis,
Thanks again for all of your gold medal designs! The jeans jacket (I have the red, blue and white) fits perfectly in a size
Large. Do you think the new faux suede jacket will fit the same in a size Large? Please advise.
Best,
LoveLinea
Hello Louis, I would like to know when the turtleneck swing sweater is coming. I thought maybe November but I need to get all those new colors so I didn’t want to order many swing sweaters now because I love them both. I misplaced my list of the new colors but I know I wanted all of them.
I would love to know about the ENR Tneck swing, too…when and what colors please? TIA
Madame
Sharon, I copied Louis’ reply about the turtleneck swing sweaters from back in June. Hope this helps:

Dear Sharon….the reorder of the swing TH is due in November, but since this is a reorder style there is always the possibility that it will be posted earlier. There will be SIX NEW COLORS…Scarlet Red, Hunter Green, Purple, Navy, Heather Charcoal Grey, and Espresso Brown…..they are all beautiful.
Thanks Jane and I love all the new colors. Last fall and winter all I wore was swing sweater. But in winter I really love the turtlenecks. No brainer dressing isn’t it.
Thanks!
Good morning! I was wondering if the swing cardigan in the mallard color is the same mallard color you used several seasons ago?
I am very excited about all of the new offerings and new colors of returning favorites this fall season!!
rae
Honestly rae…..I can’t be sure. Any color that is in the blue/green/teal range that has a brightness to it can be considered a mallard blue……It is similar to the Petrol Blue with more green. If you gave me an A# I might be able to give you a better answer.
My mallard cardigan is packed away, but you also did A217629, the v-neck sweater, in the mallard. But in looking for the item number, I realized the color I’m asking about was labeled ‘dark’ mallard. Not sure if they will be the same.
no they are not the same.
Thank you, thank you!!
Hi Louis,
I was just on QVC.com and placed my order for 2 of the sweaters, camel and winter white, 2 of the color block tops in taupe and the cream, I think it was and the olive faux suede anorak jacket. I just got home from the emergency room with casts on both legs. I tore both achilles tendons.
Guess I wanted to make sure I was home to see your show Monday! Just kidding. But, getting my order in does make me feel better.
Looking forward to the show.
Guess Jac and I are both laid up. Let her know all the Linea ladies are thinking about her and will miss her on the show.
Dear Shari….OMG….both Achilles’ tendons! How on earth! I hope my show brings you some comfort!!
Louis,
They tore doing doctor ordered exercising!!
They tell me , it was bound to happen at some point, but
I think they are covering their own behind.
Good thing I have air conditioning in the house and a retired
hub to be a getter and go-fer. Will be out of the casts in 4 weeks.
I’ll be watching and adding to my collection I’m sure.
Louis, I know you are being bombarded with questions as we are all excited for the new items. I’m about to place my order on several items and keep wavering on the English rib sweater. When I initially saw it I told myself I didn’t need it. As you may recall I live in Florida. But boy is that burnt orange calling my name. IAnd then the more I look the more I want. They are all fab colors, but the winter white is tempting too. My question is, how heavy would you say this sweater is?
That’s a very relative question. Certainly it’s heavier than a Whisper Knit, but it is 100% cotton. I think it a great sweater for a chilly night in Florida. Do you have them? Of course it also depends where in Florida you live,
Thanks for responding to a tough question. I’m in the Tampa Bay Area. We do have chilly nights sometimes. I think I’m going to order the orange and maybe winter white. I love so many things geared towards colder weather – sweaters, coats, boots, spicy warm perfumes, rich red wines…except I hate the cold weather and shoveling snow, haha. Anyway, thanks for your input and wonderful designs.
Dear Louis,
Do you know when the scarlet red coat will be presented?
I think Nov, but it could be Oct….I never know with the Q.
Want to say a BIG hello to ALL my LINEA sisters! Hope to rejoin the community soon as time allows. Missing you & sending best wishes to each & everyone.
Can’t hardly wait for your upcoming designs Dear Louis.
Take good care of each other.
P.s. the hair cut looks great Jac!
Pamela….so good to hear from you….you have been missed! I will tel Jac you like the new Do.
Pamela (aka Natural Born Women) we miss you on the Q’s Linea forum you are often mentioned with love and with “where the heck is she?” XXOX
Hi Louis
JustJazzwoman posted on the QVC Forum a list of items for your shows on Monday that includes the trench as well as the quilted front jacket. Are you presenting those items on Monday, August 22 instead of your September show. If so, we ladies will have to purchase prior to your presentation to get our first choice in size and color. Thanks Louis
Dear Joanne, those two items were planned for Sept and will be on the Sept show which is on the 29TH !!!! They posted them early because they are reorder styles, and as soon as they are processed into the system they become avail. It’s a good and bad thing! It’s good for those who know the items and want to get a jump start, but bad for those who may be new to Linea and would rather wait and see them aired…..but that’s over a month from now. Chris assumed that because it’s posted to sell it must be on the show, but that’s incorrect. QVC never used to do this early sell, but I do think it’s a good thing for those who don’t want to miss out on their size.
Hi Ladies,
I just noticed that QVC has posted the Faux Suede Anorak at a Featured Price of $99.86 AND Available for 4 Easy Payments.
Good morning Louis, I’m looking at the Click Here measurements for the beautiful faux suede jacket and I’m really confused as to what size to order. The measurements look generous. I usually size up in your outerwear so that I can wear a sweater underneath, but the “size up” measurements for me look way too big. Have you any advice as to the sizing on this jacket?
Just FYI, QVC is having special “Gold Medal” pricing on the WK turtleneck — price reduced to $34.28 !!! from $45.50, 3 easy pays, and $4 off for additional quantities — what a deal!
Dear Jane…….this is not a fitted body due to the drawstring waist. You should go by the shoulder measurement because that rarely varies very much unless it’s a drop shoulder which this is not. You should expect the measurements of this type of garment to be a little larger. Compare them to what you own, and judge from that. Since I don’t know what “outerwear pieces you are referring to it’s hard to make a judgement. You will want to wear a sweater under it for sure when it gets cold. My best suggestion is go by the shoulder measurements. I always feel this type of jacket is better a little big than skimpy.
Thanks, Louis, for the advice. I agree with you — I don’t like a garment like this to look too form-fitting or skimpy. I went with the “size up” size.
Thanks for asking the question, Jane. I’m sizing up, too.
Two words regarding the WK T-Neck: Christmas Gift.
The Faux Suede Jacket has been posted on Q and is available for ordering! Dark Umber, Eggplant, Olive and Steel Blue!
Louis, you’re Fall Collection is FABULOUS!
Dear Seka….I want you and everyone to know that this jacket will be presented on Q Check, starting at noon, and Inspired Style starting at 7pm. It will not be presented on my 5pm show.
Thanks for the info. Louis. I don’t take any chances. Have already ordered the Dark Umber and Eggplant.
Hi Louis! As you know, QVC has posted the new colors for the WK V-Neck Cardigan, but there are no color swatches. I’m wondering if you have any swatches to post for us to see the new colors? I have another WK in mallard, so I know what that looks like, but I’d really like to know about Dark Umber. If you can’t post a sample, a description would be most appreciated. My XXS sells out fast as it is, and since this sweater has a generous cut, most of the ladies ordered down. So that means more orders in XXS. I want to get my order in before the new colors in XXS are toast! Thanks as always for the patience you have with our many questions. And please give my best to Jac. I had a total knee replacement in my 50s, so I know how hard it is for a normally active person to be (temporarily) sidelined. Tell her that she will be there in our hearts on Monday!
Oh my! My head is spinning with so many beautiful choices which have been posted the last two days. Will there be more items in the mallard color to go under the swing cardigan? I’m hoping to make a set. Fall and winter clothes are by far my favorites. It’s hard not to get carried away.
Thank you so much for all you do for us.
Dear Chris…..no there aren’t any layering pieces in Mallard.
While I know that all of your metallic pieces will work wonderfully, wondering if you have any plans to create something colorful (that might work well with Scarlet Red, for example) this season?
There aren’t any red pieces, but they is a piece in Nov. that is a color drop that can be worn with red, but it’s not what I think, you are talking about. I have lots of exciting things we are presenting the buyers for spring, but I have no idea what they will buy. Do you have the seed bead necklace in the gold/ gunmetal? That would be beautiful with the red.
That is the one that I managed to snag! Thanks for the info. I was just in Nordstrom and there was a burgundy Burberry trench made from a soft, thin wool. Your’s has all the same bells and whistles apart from the fabric, right down to the color. That one was $2800.00.
Another quick question…
The new LL Color Block ls top is adorable and just posted A280472.
Is the color merlot exactly like the raglan merlot (which was too gold/rust for me) or does it have more of a pink/fuschia undertone (it looks like it does)?
Also, previously you suggested going up a size in LL…true for this top, too?
I love the LL line, and thank you for it!
Madame
Hi Louis. Any other items coming in blackberry? The color looks luscious but not sure I need another of these swing sweaters. I have so many yet don’t get to wear them much in FL.
Hello Louis,
Browsing through my Fall Preview catalogue of L-148 NY. Love the styles and colors, but the prices are not for me! On pg 10 there is a jacket featured in a style that reminded me of your techno fabric jacket which I own in the lovely Caneel color. They call the fabric on their jacket “Couture Cloth: Italian polyester”. $498.00, except in my plus size-$548.00. I don’t care where they sourced the fabric- it’s still polyester!
Keep your Linea coming my way! I only look like I spent the mega bucks, and that’s just how I like it.
New ribbed sweater is up and I ordered in two colors, winter white and orange.
I typically buy an XS in Linea knits but the chest looked a bit smaller on this one and I can’t foresee that it has tons of stretch so sized up to a SM. Pretty sure it won’t make a huge difference either way.
LDO, betting this is a sweater you did in luxe 3-ply cashmere for Anne Klein back in the day…
Hello again Louis,
Prayers for a quick recovery for Jac!
Is the ENR swing turtleneck coming back (it’s not even on the site anymore…must have sold out…)? If so, what colors?
Is the coffee bean LL raglan top a lighter brown than the choc brown of the swing pullover? (My eyes ain’t what they used to be LOL!)
How would you describe blackberry (other than…well…blackberry LOL!)?
Hope you are well, and I’m looking forward to your upcoming shows as always.
Madame
The beautiful new necklace, J331643 is posted on the Q!!!!
Thank you for letting us know – I have posted on Q’s Linea Forum!
And have ordered the Goldstone!
Gold is sold out. Already?
Kate, I was just able to order it.
Good luck, Elaine
I purchased the Y Bar Necklace J325471 and I like it very much. However, it extends below my waistline and I’m wondering if that is too long. I’m interested in hearing from Louis and anyone else who has thoughts on how long that necklace should be on one’s body. Is it possible to have it shortened? The chain is so fine I’m not sure it is possible. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Dear Ruth…..the necklace was meant to be worn with solid tunics like the whisper knit swing ballet neck, so the length should be fine. I think if you wanted to shorten it only a jeweler could do it
I’ve been wearing it with your crepe gauge tunic and it does look good. I guess I just needed reassurance that the length on me is okay. Thank you for your advice.
I’ve been wearing it with the crepe gauze tunic.
Well wishes to Jac. Louis will there be any scarlet Red WK other than the quilted jacket, and swing cardi and TN? Maybe a tank or S/S Sweater. I thought I saw that a WK red skirt was coming.
Yes ther is a WK skirt and a WK poncho, but honestly I don’t remember anything else. That doesn’t mean there may not be anything else….I just don’t recall
A scarlet red WK skirt and matching poncho? Are you kidding me? Straight off the runway!
Whoopee!
A WK Poncho! How Fantastic!
Lady in red! What a gorgeous outfit that will be!
Hi Louis
Does the quilted front whisper knit sweater in new color Medium olive match the olive slim ankle pants.
Thank you
Dear Joanne….the short answer is no. I don’t know why the name for the jacket is med. olive when it is actually dark olive and matches my vintage Dk olive WK sweaters. You could wear them together, but know the pants are lighter.
The wonderful Lightweight Quilted Front Jacket A267878 has been posted on the website in the new colors Medium Olive, Navy and Scarlet Red.
Thank you SO much 2E…I love that sweater/jacket. Already had the alabaster and black and just got the red, olive and navy. I’ve watched everyday and
missed today until I saw your post. Thanks again.
Thank you SO much 2E…I already have the alabaster and black and just
ordered the red, olive and navy. Love that jacket but wear it like a
blouse. Thanks again.B8
Thank you SO much 2E…I already have the black and alabaster and
just (thanks to you) got the red, olive and navy. Wear it like
a blouse and get so many compliments. Thanks again.
Well 2E did you get the message? (: Sorry, thought it didn’t go
through.
Hi, Connie. So glad you were able to get this jacket in the new colors — I’ve been watching for it, too!
Hi Louis
I own your (A257380) Whisper Knit Zip Front Cardigan in Nutmeg. I also noticed new colors were posted for the pull over swing sweater(A259620). One of the new colors posted for the swing pullover is called Nutmeg. Are they the same color?
By the way Dark Chocolate is already sold out in my size Medium in the swing pullover. I hope they are holding back for your shows.
Thanks Louis
I also am interested in the new Nutmeg color in the WK Swing Sweater. I have the WK Long Skirt(A257384), the WK Scarf (A257914), and the WK Oversized Top(A257356)in the Nutmeg color. I am hoping that the new swing top will work with the long skirt and scarf.
I was wrong about Dark Chocolate swing sweater. It is not sold out in Medium. Qvc corrected. So exciting when Louis starts his new season collection.
there you go
Dear Joanne the new nutmeg is a softer color….not so gold, and I’m sure the chocolate hasn’t sold out different sizes are in different boxes and they probably haven’t processed them yet….check back tomorrow.
Hi Louis!
I need to tell you a very short story. In the last couple if weeks, my husband and I were traveling in Upper Michigan. He urged that he NEEDED a treat to go with his coffee. Well, a short search found us in a quaint coffee shop where they had Ginger cookies, in which we fell all over, they were that good. Well, you probably know where I’m going with this. I thought to myself, “Jac had a recipe for Ginger cookies and I printed it!” So immediately on getting home, I dug out the recipe from my kitchen recipe binder. I just finished making them, and all I can say is OH MY !!
They are better than the ones we had !! These will be filling the cookie jar on a frequent basis and the recipe in the front page of the binder.
No need to save them just for holidays.
Give Jac my kudos and let her know. Blessings and prayers.Shari
FYI – The Fabulous Trench Coat A267875 has been posted on Q in the new Colours – Black and British Tan.
Hi Seka, Thanks for the tip!
Adding my thanks to Seka as well. The hubs brought back a wonderful plaid Burberry scarf for me from his biz trip to London and I needed the black trench (have the olive trench and Its a winner).
I thought I’d buy the black but that British tan is just so classic and designer. Had to have it.
Louis, the new colors in A267864 Swing Cardigan are posted on QVC.com. I ordered the dark umber and will order the scarlet and mallard once those get loaded in my size. No swatches are shown, just the color names. Is the mallard more like the new teal in the LL tunic or more towards the teal in the A268130 tiered WK sweater (which seems darker and more green in it)? When I searched “mallard” the tiered sweater is what came up.
Posted on blog re 4am show still on. Anything for you. Hope Jac is ok.
Jac is doing better, but walking with a cane for now, so she won’t be doing the show.
Of course I am disappointed we will not see Jac present her Linea outfits as only she can do, but I am hoping for a speedy and full recovery. So wanted to see Jac in scarlet red!
She will be greatly missed. I hope she knows she is in our thoughts and hearts.
Dear Mimi….thank you so much. I told Jac what you said and she was very touched. Many women have reached out to her on her face book and I know she was overwhelmed by everyone good wishes.
Dear Louis,
Please tell Jac we are thinking of her and praying for her full and speedy recovery. My husband and I both have had back issues before and have experienced firsthand how painful and draining they can be. I know I speak for all of the Linea Ladies when I say that we certainly will miss seeing Jac in your next show, but want her to do whatever she needs to do to get well. Those wonderful pictures of her in the new suede jacket were such a treat. Both the jacket and the new haircut look great. I definitely want that jacket in all colors. I’ll have to call The Q to see if they have scholarships available for Linea Ladies whose taste for outstanding fashion exceeds their budgets! 🙂
Dear WwF…..you gave me a good laugh. I will pass your good wishes off to Jac.
Please tell Jac that she looks smashing with the new hair cut!
Louis, is the tobacco jacket the same color as your previous tobacco?
I’ve done so many shades of tobacco….LOL do you have a specific garment in mind?.
I pulled some of my older tobacco items and I did not realize how different they are. So, I will ask my question a different way, I have a lot of chunky turquoise jewelry, would that be a good combination? I question it because you use the word honey, so I am wondering if it is too golden. See ya on the 22nd!
Turquoise and this color Tobacco will be perfect. Actually turquoise and any of the tobaccos I have done should be perfect. It is my experience that anything in the golden brown or yellow browns look good with turquoise
Hi Louis
I own your wonderful zebra coat in tobacco and black from last year. Is the tobacco in your new faux suede jacket the same as that tobacco.
Last week for trip I took my navy as well as sage moss crepe top and pants. Nothing but compliments on those outfits. I also wore moss green zebra cardigan as wrap with sage moss outfit. Perfect match and so cute! I love your moss crepe fabric. I hope you bring back that fabric next year.
Dear Joanne….the Zebra tobacco is redder, actually more rust. The faux sued is more golden, which is actually a truer tobacco.
Will the WK skirt A259865 in olive go with the knit jacquard jacket A230025 in olive?
Dear Andrea, A259865 is an Isaac pant?
Sorry,A259625
Dear Andrea, out of all the colors that jacket came in the olive is the one I can’t find! Maybe someone who owns both can reply. I seem to recall Chris saying she didn’t think they worked? I do know the jacket is a brighter olive so there would be more contrast with the black spots. I would have though they would have blended fine, but I don’t have the sample to give you a definitive answer.
Thanks, on one of the videos Kate is wearing it with your olive T and olive pencil skirt.
A brighter olive is really the only way I can wear olive near my face so that’s good news.
I returned the olive poncho and wear the olive hoodie dress with a leopard scarf so it’s brighter near my face.
If I haven’t told you, that hoodie dress is one of my favorite items.
I get lots of compliments. More than one man has told me the front zipper is sexy; as in “it makes me think of zipping it all the way down.” I have all three colors and wore them all last winter with tights and high boots. Coming winter I’ll have to make a conscious decision to wear my WK skirts and sweaters.
Will the new wk grey skirt go with the the new steel blue faux suede jacket .Looking board to new fall wardrobe!
any update on this question
Dear Debby….sorry for the delay….couldn’t find a heather charcoal grey WK sweater. Found the swing cardigan and tank, and yes I like them together. Think of it as a grey flannel color with steel blue….the grey WK actually makes the jacket looker bluer which is a good thing. There are already HCG WK sweaters avail to go with the skirt like the tank and classic V-neck plus the TN later
Thank you so much for your answer – looking foward to ordering!
Hi Louis
I have had too many home runs with your garments over the years to give up on the sweater, I knew it was a fluke. You are the one designer who always designs quality pieces and never ceases to amaze me every season.
Dear ceicei….the difference is….I am a designer….I follow the process through from my sketch to the finished product. I don’t just show up at a meeting and look at what the committee has come up with and familiarize myself with the line so I know how to sell it……That is not to put anyone down, but we designers have to speak up for ourselves.
The superiority of your clothes is obvious to anyone who has had the opportunity to wear truly fine clothing. I have been sorely disappointed by clothes sold by people who are not designers themselves but have a team of designers who interpret their “flair”. The person selling the clothes may look stylish or be amusing but the fit and tailoring of the garments always falls short. hank you again for bringing your expertise to QVC.
Please give my good wishes to Jac and my hope that she will recover soon.
And, of course, I meant to say “Thank you again!”
Dear Ruth….you are very welcome, and I will definitely send along your good wishes to Jac!
Hi Louis
I recently ordered your scarlet red turtleneck in a medium–my usual size for this tneck. It was huge. I almost posted a review that it ran large, however, it was so big, I decided to order another medium in scarlet red to compare. The first one I received was 4 inches larger at the hip and larger all over, length, etc., I am pretty sure it was a 1x. The label for both were mediums. I called cs to explain why I was returning. Thought you would want to know. By the way, scarlet red is gorgeous.
Dear ceicei….thank you for not giving up in the sweater…..I have no explanation for why this happens? The production process has the garment go through different stages and “HANDS”. It is very possible the wrong label got mixed with the wrong bundle of sweaters on their way to the sewing stage or finishing stage. With that big a difference in size I would guess that’s what happened, but that’s only a guess. Sometimes just in the pressing they can stretch it a whole size if they aren’t careful……Knits need to be handled with a lot of care and have many different problems in manufacturing than wovens.
Hello Louis,
I just love your vintage Robyn shirt. Universally flattering and a true classic. The fabric is without equal. I would love to see that silhouette with a quarter or half-zip front instead of the full button placket for something new. White and blue.
Another vote for the slim leg pant in camel instead of chocolate.
Sending prayers for healing and comfort to Jac.
If we’re lucky….maybe both so everyone will be happy….I submitted both colors….we’ll see what wins. I’m sending your best wishes to Jac right now
Please give my thoughts and prayers for fast healing to Jac, too, Louis. She is so lovely — inside and out. Her goodness shows in her beautiful and radiant face.
Louis, recently ordered your famous boho skirt in Aqua as well as the matching blouse only to find the blouse (A214117) was sold out. Don’t want to return skirt if there is hope you will be bringing back the blouse. Crazy about color. Already have set in pink as well as black. Please tell me I will see the blouse re-ordered. Hoping to wear at wedding in Aruba in January.
Dear Mary….I’m not sure if the Aqua is being reordered that doesn’t mean it won’t because it has done very well…..BUT……if it has it will be back for next spring and not for Jan. Don’t return the skirt it’s a fabulous color and I always do things in that aqua color…because I love it. The shirt will surely be back eventually!
Good morning. Please tell Jac to hang in there. My husband had 2 back surgeries and I am trying to put off my first. We know all to well what the pain, discomfort and overall how it can change your lifestyle. Just push through it and do the best you can. Luckily, you have each other to count on emotionally and physically, as we do. That makes things a lot better.. Day by day. Feel better. Regards and heartfelt wishes always.
Dear Mimi….thanks for your words of support. This is a very different road for us as you well know. This is all new as we both have been very healthy. Thank God Jac is very strong and has taken very good care of both of us. We look upon this as a small detour on our journey.
That’s how we look at it. We have to be thankful for every day and keep pushing ahead. I always say, ” Things could be worse “. I have had 2 pancreatic surgeries and I have problems but again, I am thankful. If one can get up every morning, go out sometimes, especially to work, you are ahead of the game. So, YOUR outlook will get you through anything. Stay strong together. As I’ve said to you in the past, we (your ladies) care deeply about you and Jac. Don’t ever forget that. You can always use us as your sounding board. I hope you know that.
PS: If you should need a good back doctor (Surgeon) in the city, the best and top doctor is Dr. Frank Cammisa. You only see him when you are ready to have surgery. He’s conservative and doesn’t do anything that isn’t absolutely necessary, as some doctors might do. He’s a good sweet guy. It may take him awhile to warm up to you but in the end, it’s his ability that is important. If you need other info, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Unfortunately, I know some of the best doctors in the city for mostly any health problem. I’m not boasting believe me. I know them through experience for myself or my family. Always do research to the utmost extent. I hope you and Jac do something good for yourselves this weekend.
Dear Mimi…..Jac and I appreciate your offer of information. As you say there are many great doctors and we are very confident and believe in the doctor we have been seeing. Thank you for your heart felt concern. It is very appreciated.
The girls were talking about the reorder of the slim ankle pants, and mentioning brown for a color. I vote for the new camel color of your new sweater coming. THAT would be awesomely beautiful. I usually don’t wear a lot if the browns family, but I am excited about this newest camel color of yours. If it’s showing true in the picture, which I’m sure it is,it’s the best camel I’ve seen in a very long time!
I agree with Shari. The camel is gorgeous and would love to see it in the slim leg pant!
I posted earlier the idea of camel for the slim ankle pants. Such a great outfit – the new camel sweater with camel slim ankle pants.
Looking for your pull on slim leggings–A252344
Louis
What is the scarf that you have paired with the new camel pullover??
Seems like a perfect match.Loving the new camel. Looks really rich
and very versatile . I can see wearing this color with many different items from my own closet. I’ll be ordering the camel and the winter white.
Hi Shari….the scarf is the Posh Knit vintage silk/cashmere scarf.
Hi Louis,
Do you have your show dates for September and October yet? Thanks! Always look forward to seeing you and planning my wardrobe around Linea.
Carol
Sept 29th at 2pm and Oct. 17th at 3pm, but I think there are some additional dates in Oct. coming
Thanks, Louis!
PLease help me with the alabaster cardigan. I do not want to send it back, but I need a matching top to wear underneath. What is coming up besides the short sleeved top in January. Anything this Fall?
Hi Ann I have the swing cardigan and also the alabaster,&black color block cardigan and I am not sure which you mean but I will guess the swing cardigan? If yes, I don’t wear anything under and it looks great…I am wearing it today to work and so many have commented…it’s so comfortable and the V neck is not low on me. I have some longer chains I am wearing with it. It’s my favorite sweater,,,I do have a Spanx camisole on but the cardigan fits so nicely I don’t really need to wear a camisole. Hope you try it just by itself!
I like it with the crepe gauze top in alabaster from this past summer: http://www.qvc.com/Linea-by-Louis-DellOlio-Crepe-Gauze-Tank-w-Chiffon-Bottom.product.A276293.html?sc=A276293-SRCH&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-28-_-A276293&catentryImage=http://images.qvc.com/is/image/a/93/a276293.001?$uslarge$
Thank you Trish and Kate. I just ordered the crepe tank. I think this should work well and hold me over until the short sleeve sweater is available in alabaster. My only concern is the tank is about 1/4″ longer than the cardigan in the sizes I wear. I go down in the swing turtleneck (I have 4 of them) but ordered my regular size in the tank.
Hi Louis
Did I dream this bit of info? Are the slim ankle pants being reordered? My all time favorite. I would like alabaster and brown. I own multiples of all of the others.
No it’s not a dream! What kind of brown? I’m thinking a dark chocolate….not as dark as my walnut.
Yippee! That’s exactly the shade of brown I was hoping for. I love these pants so much that I automatically buy two of each shade, although I only managed to snag one navy, so I keep hoping for that color to return. In our mild climate, these are year round pants.
I would be thrilled with a dark chocolate pant. Whatever color you choose would be great. I love your walnut color. I would think they would be available by the end of winter, spring? Hope Jac is all better and the girls are doing well. Take care.
Louis
Besides dark brown –
How about the new camel color that you are featuring in your new sweater just introduced today for a new color for the slim ankle pant? What a lovely outfit your new camel sweater and the slim ankle pants. It would be such an expensive looking outfit.
Did I read correctly that the Criss Cross cuff J329557 that sold out before it was presented is not reordered? I read Jazzmom’s post that she referred to as the wire bracelets is that the same thing. I love that cuff I got the chocolate and almost had the black but it sold out too fast.
That is correct. The waiting list wasn’t very big so they chose not to reorder.
That’s good know. I never put things on wait list since they so rarely get filled. I will do that in future.
Singing praises to your “jacket extraordinaire,” the “Animal Jacquard Zip-Front Jacket” (A230025). My jacket in olive arrived today; I already own the version in chocolate. What a flattering cut and, to my utmost delight, what a hand this fabric has! So smooooth. If you have not bought this jacket yet, I urge you to do so. With the slashed price, it is pretty much irresistible. The animal print is subdued and refined. Two-way zip. What’s not to love? I reviewed this jewel after receiving my chocolate jacket. Thank you, Louis. To give you a treat, click on this link to see Anthony Quinn, in his “lion-in-winter” years, doing his Zorba dance once again. He is with the composer of “Zorba the Greek,” Mikis Theodorakis, who leads his orchestra in the clip. This joyful love fest brought tears to my eyes.

Goldie76 – Absolutely Fantastic! Thank you for posting.
Seka, I am so delighted that this YouTube moment moved you. It is exhilarating, to my mind. I found another version of this same moment in Munich in 1995, but it has some additional material. It begins with Quinn (who was 80 at the time) wearing his coat and tie on stage and then removing them, as he begins to loosen up. Plus, there is a formal rendition of “Zorba the Greek” at the end. The only shortcoming that I noticed was that in this version, the camera was not as fully on Quinn’s feet as he danced in this memorable moment. See what you think.

Goldie76, Wonderful! I find it so uplifting. Whenever I need a mood ‘picker upper’ – I turn to music – it usually always works! Have copied and saved these links. Thank you.
I have the beautiful alibaster cardigan in my closet. What can I purchase now or this fall to wear underneath?
For a contrast…..black, grey navy and ivory all look good….the short sleeve jewel neck in WK Alabaster will be avail in Jan if not late Dec.
Will the wire bracelets be reordered? I’m certain a few more of us want it to go with the new wire necklace once that becomes available.
No to my knowledge there is no plan to reorder them
Taupe and coffee bean tunics A262037 are up for ordering on Q. Coffee bean is on the way to my home to join the black and olive ones already in my closet. Love this tunic!
Hi Louis
Are there any stretch woven pants, like the slim leg ones you had, coming this season?? I have the black and stone and REALLY LOVE the fit and style of these pants. They are my go to pants when I need a pant.
I am actually in shock, that A276294 Crepe pants are not going to be re-ordered. They are my favorite ever! I feel so good in them, they wash well and feel so good. They are the most flattering ever! They don’t collect animal hair. They are dressy or casual. I’ve been wearing them every day. I just looked now and there are more available then were before so I guess there were a lot of returns. Boo Hoo! I have both colors, and I bought extras. Will you be able to use the fabric for other things?
Add me to those who are disappointed, Louis. I rarely wear long pants in the summer as they are just too hot. I will wear them for riding, but that’s it. These are just perfect as they allow for air circulation, a MUST in the heat and humidity of our summers. I completely agree with Karen in WA that they are so versatile that they can go from daytime to dressy. Easy care and great for traveling. May have to get a second pair of black.
I think it was the style of pant more then the fabric. I can only guess there are still many women who don’t like pleats, and think they make them look bigger, however with most tops that are worn on the outside you wouldn’t see the pleats anyway? I will do another pant in this fabric for sure!
The style of these pants was not petite friendly, IMO. Too long and the wide legs can overwhelm us Lineaputians. I look forward to seeing this material on future pants styles.
The pants came in both regular and petite sizing… I think they are perfection. Such a shame that those of us who appreciate this classic design will not see them reordered. I also hope we see more wider leg pants, especially for summer.
Yes, as Grace mentioned these crepe gauze pants came in Regular (A276294) & Petite (A276295) lengths. Part of the problem which might have been a reason not for reordering was that the Petite inseam was not a true petite length so taller Lineaputians might have been able to buy the petite without needing alteration who normally bought regular inseam lengths in the past. Still another problem was the numerical sizing which still tends to throw many of us into a tizzy since we all order without trying on first. I do hope that the fabric is used in other designs going forward.
Hi Chris/JustJazzmom,
Your points are helpful and spot on (as usual) about the sizing issues…the inseam wasn’t adjusted for petites (as I recall from forum chatter) and numerical sizing is always a big challenge, resulting in trial-and-error returns. I’m among those who got very lucky with the sizing and fit of this pant–a rare event for me and most appreciated. I will forever love these pants, but I also understand why they didn’t work for so many. I’m hoping this doesn’t dissuade Louis from designing a similar pant in the future…it’s such a classic.
Booo! Love those pants. However, two pairs are probably enough, and I’m sure you’ll come up with another style that we can wear with the other crepe gauze tops. I would like a skirt, too, in the gauze crepe to go with your tops and the jacket.
Hopefully the next pant will be a wide-leg as well. I really don’t care if a pant is pull-on elasticized all around or one with pleats in the front and elastic in the back for the reason you just stated. As long as it doesn’t bind and air can circulate! The worst, to me, is one with a set-in waistband as anything too close to the waist is just too hot. IMO this year’s edition is a classic. Speaking of classics, I hope that Jac is feeling much better and her pain is relieved. No fun to be laid up.
Hi Louis, the scarlet red TN arrived. Love, love, love the color.
Thank you, Elaine
Hi,
I was one of the fortunate ones who was able to get the black torsade necklace when a few mysteriously popped back in stock last week. I love it, but I’m not sure about an earring to go with it. I looked back and it appears that you had it styled with the barrel bead earring which I don’t own. The necklace has a gold clasp, so would some sort of gold earring work? I do have a black agate nugget bead earring, but it is on a silver wire. Other ideas from Louis or others who love this necklace would be appreciated.
Thank you!
Dear Chris…….I used the barrel bead earring because it’s the only black earring that I have done other than a jet. I would recommend a small gold earring like the Demi hoop or my gold Stud which is part of the set of four. I would also recommend the Gunmetal earring in the Same styles. The earring doesn’t have to match. It just shouldn’t clash which none of those would.
Thank you. I have your demi hoops in gold and gunmetal and some 14k gold studs. I’m all set!
Hi Louis. Have a question regarding your At Leisure tunic. The QVC site shows that “Blackberry” is on waitlist in all sizes. Have never seen this color presented. Also notice it is not listed here as a new color for the tunic. By the way, love the Teal. Hope it is coming soon.
Can you tell me about Blackberry or if it is just a computer error on QVC? I have a pair of blackberry leggings by Lori Goldstein and am looking for a companion top. Love you both as designers.
Thanks for any comments you may have.
Dear Cathy, as soon as an order is placed for a reorder it gets posted even if it’s not due for months, which is the case for the blackberry. I’ve discussed this with the .com people but I guess it would be too much trouble and complicated to reprogram. As for the color matching leggings all I can say is I will be having Linea Body tights in Blackberry that will match my tunic.
Thank you so much. Will watch out for your blackberry tights. Hopefully they will be in your next show on QVC.
Good morning Louis,
Had a lovely dinner with my husband at Orso’s on Thursday for our anniversary. No wonder you enjoy it so much. We’ll go back soon.
Looking forward to seeing you and Jac next week.
Eagerly awaiting the arrival of my scarlet red TN!
Enjoy the weekend and thank you, Elaine
So glad you enjoyed it! I’m addicted to the Rosemary pizza bread.
We’ll try that the next time. It was really such a relaxing evening and the food was delicious…I actually thought it was quite reasonable for what we ordered. More $$ to spend on Linea!
P.S. I was dressed in Linea from head to ….ankles!
See you soon!
Would the WK skirt A259625 in olive go with the olive jacquard knit jacket A230025 in olive?
QUICK QUESTION

WE’RE ADVERTISED BEFORE, THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY DISASPEARED KHAKI BLACK AND SOMETHING. MILLION DOLLAR COAT
WILL WINTER WHITE AND SCARLET RED BE AVAILABLE IN ITEMS FOE FLORIDA WEATHER
ANY DRESSES ON THE HORIZON
I LOVE YOUR CLOTHES QUALITY, CLASS, AND PRICING SUPERB. NEVER GO OO STYLE
Louis, I am so excited. QVC posted 1 silver criss-cross cuff bracelet and I have it on its way to me. I missed out on the silver when they sold out so quickly. I’ve been stalking the one color I didn’t get. But, now I will have them all. I love to stack these and needed that last color. I would love to see these again so that I can get duplicates to stack 2 of the same color. I think they look great paired. I know you said your manufacturer can’t produce them again at $24. Couldn’t QVC simply raise the retail price to what would make their numbers crunch right for a reorder? They never seem to hesitate to raise other prices. Ha. See. It’s obvious that I really enjoy this bracelet.
One of my all time favorite WK pieces is A267882 Whisper Knit Short Sleeve Top. However there are often times I wish it was 4/5 inches longer so I could wear it with leggings and skinny jeans. Louis would you please consider doing this same amazing top in a tunic length for us? (Fingers crossed)
Seconded! I would buy this in every color. I’d also love a tunic length in A233944 (WK SS v-neck)
Agree with Sharon & Heidi a short sleeve WK tunic based on ENR WK A267882 would be just perfect!
Louis,
There is obviously great excitement about the scarlet red!
When can we expect other scarlet red pieces to arrive?
thanks,
Debra
Louis, this Deborah is also excited about the scarlet red – and am hoping for some Florida-friendly options in that color. I have several turtlenecks and I think they have been worn maybe 1-2 times each. Just not enough weather to get a lot of use for them. I have the scarlet red in the Kate shirt. Would love a longish tank or short sleeve WK to wear under it (the shirt being worn more as a shirt jacket).
Thrilled to order the Scarlet Red TN – thanks so much for bringing this color! Looking forward to the other Scarlet items.
YIPPEE! I ordered my scarlet t-neck – I look forward to more scarlet pieces
It looks like A72448 that you mentioned today are posted on their website, ready to order. I’m getting the red one–love the color and glad you are using it in future offerings.
Thank you for the heads up – have been checking daily – just ordered my Taupe T-Neck!
