Wow wow wow!! Can’t wait to get the leather topper and the trench coats. It’s so hard to decide what colors to buy, I feel like I need them all as each color has a very different personality. I just got back from Italy and as I was walking through the streets lined with designed streets, I saw a lot of caramel and green combination outfits. A lot of leather coats some belted some not. There were a lot of red pieces too. But the prices weren’t that great, haha. Whenever I came across a gorgeous outfit, your pieces kept running through my head. I kept saying to myself that Louis is giving us a similar piece/look and I will wait for it. Thank you for all your amazing items of clothing and thank you for keeping us current 🙂 I have been collecting all our port and caramel pieces but skipped forest green. But now I want to get the forest green too as it looks really good with caramel.

I am 5’ 3” and don’t wear shoes with heels (may be just 1 inch but nothing more). Will the petite trench coat work on me? Both caramel and red are killing me!
As far as the leather coat, red is a must though I already have a red leather jacket. Green and the navy look great too. But I don’t want to buy too many reds. If I have to go with red, would you say the leather topper or the trench?

    1. Pratt

I meant streets lined with designer labels.. excuse my jet lagged language haha.

  2. Pat Hill

    Hi Louis,

Can the sleeves in the Big Deal be shortened, turned back or by any chance will the jackets come in petite?

  3. Dawn

    Louis,

Wowza on the new big deal leather jackets. Do you think that if the jackets do well that you will be offer them again the following year. It’s so hard choosing just 1 when on a budget.

    Thanks for all you do.

Hi Louis, I hope you’re having a nice weekend. I just had to tell you how much I love the ponte crop pants (A302601). I purchased in the Linen color. I don’t normally purchase light colors in pants because it seems like I manage to get something on them within minutes of wearing and their stained for life! Well, true to form, the first time I wore these, I got a big black stain of some oily/tar-like substance on them (don’t even ask how I did that!LOL). I was so mad at myself, but I pretreated the stain, threw them in the wash, and miracle of miracles, the stain came out! I’m so happy! It’s nice to have such beautiful clothes to wear that we can actually live in and not worry about; they look great AND wash great! I also want to mention that I recently purchased the Moss Crepe Maxi Skirt in dark teal and black; these are the best! Super comfortable, attractive, and versatile, they’ll be in my wardrobe forever! Thanks so much for all you do, and especially for chatting with us here on your blog 🙂

  5. Carolyn

Received my lamb leather knit jacket yesterday. Love it! Perfect fit! Thank you for enhancing the quality of my life. Last year I purchased the moto in navy. My new jacket is black. I wore the three button coat off and on all of last year in black and tan and the trench in green and tan. Last year I compared your trenches to the iconic classic trench hanging in my closet and your trenches are just as great and more comfortable! Last year I reached for Linea every time and I suspect it will be the same this year. I keep thanking you but each thank you is fully warranted. Simply put – I love your stuff!

  6. Amanda

Dear Louis, I got my jeans in the walnut color today and they are every bit as wonderful as you said. Guess that means I have to get the other colors. Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Amanda….I’m happy you like them. I thought the fabric was really great.

  7. Sarah

    Good Evening Louis,
I was wondering if you could sneak us a peek of perhaps your sketch for the
    Oct 10 topper.
It would assist me greatly in my planning

    regards
    Sarah

      1. Sarah

Louis you are a super person!
I’m new to your line and I really appreciate all your hard work. I like the photos you put together and the coordinating looks.
I received my black mock neck tunic and swing sweater, and the ombré top too- I also ordered the jean pants last night in navy and black.
I’m looking forward to receiving my remaining purchases and hope the straight super ponte come in soon so hopefully I can get a heathered grey pair to coordinate with my soon to arrive hcg mock tunic, cardigan and skirt.
I need to give my cc a rest but I’ve noticed that if I’m not quick to the dance that I will have to wait a while for a re-order or miss out completely because of your devoted fans enthusiasm for your clothes.
        regards
        Sarah
ps I also want the sequined pants and faux suede….

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sarah, I fear the buyers didn’t buy enough of the sequin pant, and maybe the faux suede too!. Thank for your words, and I hope you enjoy everything you have received!

          1. Sarah

            Good afternoon Louis,
I keep saying OMS(that’s Oh My Stars)!
I have not had an opportunity to wear the items I have received since it is still in the 90s here outside of New Orleans.
That has not stopped me from purchasing more. I’ve been trying to thoughtfully put together looks and have been reviewing some items on your blog. I’m most appreciative of how easy it is to search for the items. Because you are so
thorough I fear I will have to go back to working full time next year. Oh well, this is the latest list,
            Black sequin shirt
            Alabaster topper
            Port and white blouses
            Black wn dress
Black and aqua mist sleeveless gauze dresses
            port ponte pant
            black and port blazers
            navy cropped pant
            black wn swing tank
I am in perfect shape once these items arrive for the sequined pant!

Thanks for posting the topper, I’m just not sure it will work for me since it is so darn hot here.
But never say never since I travel to NYC, Denver and Cape Cod frequently. I’m looking forward to your show on Oct 3.

During my research I came across your pansy post- so sweet-I have to admit I teared up.
            regards
            Sarah

Louis, The other day I had lunch with a colleague I haven’t seen in a very long time. I was wearing my Moss Crepe Gaucho Pants and Tunic in Black – with my Linea Love Knot Necklace and the original Wire Cuff Bracelet – both in your beautiful Gold. My colleague could not stop talking about my Cuff, kept commenting how beautiful it was and that it looked like it was made in Asia! I knew my colleague thought it was real Gold! It actually does look like it’s real. I simply said ‘thank you.’ I bought this Cuff in the Large size – have the Silver as well. Here is the Silver in one of your photos!

  9. Bernadette

My jackets just went to backorder. Grrrr!😥😥😥

  10. CAROL

Back to the velvet/moss crepe holiday dress, is it long-sleeved? (Asking for a friend who’s Linea expenditures are reaching critical mass).

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Carol….it’s long sleeve, the stretch velvet is on the top and the moss crepe is the bottom

      1. Carol

Sounds like I’m gonna love it! <3

  11. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Hoping that coming “white” Ponte pencil skirt is a midi. Seems like the last chance of a WK pencil in ivory was a short pencil. Might be our turn coming up….. – she said hopefully.

    1. Carol

That pencil skirt is/was EVERYTHING. I loaned mine to a friend and she loved it so much I had to let her keep it–luckily I was able to buy a replacement for myself. The pink is pretty special, too.

  12. Beryl

Looking forward to the holiday dress. Will the ponte skirt be a midi?

      1. Beryl

Thanks for your reply. Wilmington is still recovering from the hurricane. It’s one big mess.

  13. Yvette

So disappointed not to see the scheduled Linea show tonight! I enjoyed the show this morning but was looking to get another Linea fix tonight. Will it be rescheduled?

    1. Elizabeth

I just wrote a treatise on how much I love Louis’s ever-evolving collections. Cans on what a good job Hrnnifer is doing. I’m hoping the cancelling if the show late tonight was because everything was sold out.
But my treatise disappeared. I didn’t save it before I submitted it! So greetings to Louis and thank you Jennifer.
      Elizabeth

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry, for not advising you in advance…..All is well with Jen and myself. The show was cancelled, didn’t know who was replacing it. It was a QVC decision. I’m sure they have their reasons. I was never scheduled to do this show. It was a Jen appearance.

      1. Yvette

Glad to hear that all is well! We’ll just have to be patient till the Oct. 3rd show.

      2. Goldie76

So glad all is well, Louis. I was worried almost immediately after I was annoyed at first. After a moment’s pause, I thought there might be some gloomy reason, and so I retracted my annoyed feeling.

  14. Alicia

    Dear Louis,
During one of your recent QVC shows, you mentioned a dress that was coming for the holidays. Can you describe it?

    Thanks so much,
    Alicia

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s stretch velvet on the top and Moss Crepe on the bottom. It’s long and will be in petites

      1. Seka

Louis, I’m a huge fan of your Maxi and Midi Dresses – and this year we’ve had a spectacular selection – and now there’s a LONG VELVET MOSS CREPE DRESS coming soon! Thank you!
Would you please let us know the colour options.
        Seka.

          1. Seka

            Thank you, Louis!

      2. Debbie M.

        Dear Louis,
The dress sounds beautiful! Thank you so much for your reply.
        Sincerely,
        Alicia

      3. Grace

Oh, Louis, this sounds wonderful!!!!!! You had me at long. Velvet and moss crepe, too? Perfection. When do you expect this to be available?

  15. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Louis, I raced to get in line for the latest version of the WK midi pencil skirt. [I was behind Seka though I think ;)] I already had 2 of the black from when you sold them with the nutmeg and with the petrol blue colorways and I already own the heather charcoal but I did snap up the forest green. I’ve been longing for a winter white midi pencil skirt for years! And for an optic white midi pencil skirt for summer. Finally I succumbed to A311407 which has now arrived. It is a cream colored midi pencil sweater skirt by G.I.L.I. and quite different from the Linea midis which I so love! Of course, when/if Linea and the QVC buyers decide to finally go for this basic go-with-everything skirt, I’m right in line for it. Until then I’ll be experimenting with how this G.I.L.I.skirt holds up. I already know the Linea midi’s wear like iron and wash beautifully. But everytime you ask for what is on our wish list I’ll be putting in for a Linea WK pencil midi in winter white and in Linea navy and in optic white (maybe in the Leisure fabric) for summer – midi length and only a short slit for kick pleat. First time I ever saw a “white” version of a knit midi pencil skirt at QVC. I have SOOO many exquisite Linea tops, jackets, cardis, turtlenecks, blazers that would look very sharp with such an option.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy, a great ponte pencil skirt is coming in white either Jan. or Feb.

      1. Grace

Another must-have on my growing list–the white ponte pencil skirt!!

      2. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

I am SO thrilled! Love your Ponte knit. Thanks for the heads up on the good news!

        1. Seka

Nancy (AKA TheOwl) – Yes – I’m all-in when it comes to Louus’s WK Midi Skirts! Ordered 2 in Black (different sizes one for a more casual look and sized down one size for a more fitted look) – the Dark Forest Green – and Heathered Gray. BTW – that GILI Skirt is sold out in the Cream colour only! Enjoy wearing your new items!
          Seka.

      3. Pecan Cookie

Yay! Thank you Louis! Ponte midi pencil skirt!!

          1. Pecan Cookie

It’s all good: high, low, in-between. The one from a few years ago that came in white, royal blue, and black with the drawstring needs a work replacement. This one is all casual now. 😘

          2. Grace

Hope we see a midi white ponte skirt one of these days. Always thought a white version of the LL skirt would be ideal. Love the black & navy I own, plus the pants. Wear them year round. C’mon, QVC!

          3. Joanne

            Hi Louis
Will the new short pencil skirt be white or ivory. Also will the new short pencil skirt also come in black? Will the style be no pockets and smooth like your ponte pant?

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

IT’s not an optic white so I would say like my winter white ponte….is that more ivory? White and Navy….smooth like my Ponte pant with the same V side panel over the high hip.

  16. Danielle

When does the Caramel trench premiere? I MUST have that!

  17. Debby

Happy to have your new clothing, they always look so chic! What tops can we look forward to seeing for the new navy wk skirt?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debby……navy is such a classic color it works with anything. Wear the matching navy tights and you can basically wear any top. I will also be having may tops coming in Jan, Feb, March, April and June that will look great with the navy pencil skirt

  18. Victoria Leak

Can anyone identify the top Chantelle had on today during the 1:00 Q2 show with Jennifer? This was the presentation for the ponte knit pants. She was wearing the port pants. I tried to find a match, but couldn’t. It may be a retired piece. Thanks for any help.

    1. Romy

      I think it is A262037

      1. Victoria

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Have a great night.

  19. ruth

    Hi Louis,
Sorry I got the number wrong in my previous post. I meant to ask you about your A298054 Blazer Coat. I have it in black and I am wondering if there is a chance it could be brought back in Heather Charcoal Gray? All the best, Ruth

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Ruth, as of now that coat has not been reordered, and I’m not even sure that fabric can be done in a heather.

      1. Ruth

If it should get reordered, I would love to see it in dark gray and it wouldn’t need to be heathered.
Your clothes this season are wonderful. The suit in the trench coat fabric is genius. Thanks to you and your lovely muse, Jac.

        1. T1

          Louis and Ruth-

I wanted to raise my hand because I LOVE that blazer coat too! I LOVE Heather Charcoal Gray but understand the fabric can’t be “heathered”. I NEED it in one of your dark browns (Walnut or Expresso). Here’s wishin’!

          Louis makes wishes come true.

  20. Joyce Adams

After reading the advice to keep your Linea pieces indefinitely, I felt compelled to share something that just tickled me. Some friends showed me a picture taken in 2006 in which I was wearing a Linea outfit I had just worn a few weeks ago. Timeless for sure. I was shocked to realize the pieces were so old. They look brand new!

The problem I have is storage for my vast Linea collection, and, of course I don’t want to retire anything!

Linea is in a class by itself as is our beloved Louis.

  21. pat

Dear Louis will there be a mushroom WKTN? Love your clothes!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Pat, no mushroom TN coming. Still want to see how the mushroom cardi and suit does before I expand into more items.

      1. Joanne

        Hi Louis
I love your new mushroom color. I purchased the suit as well as the swing mushroom cardigan. If you decide to repeat the mushroom color, I would love a mushroom whisper knit tank or even better a short sleeve round neck sweater. I own all of the colors in the short sleeve round neck whisper knit sweater. Thank you.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne. I thought the s/s WK sweaters that I have done would be blow outs, but they weren’t. I think they are still avail. I doubt after two of them, the buyers won’t jump on a third.

  22. Carolyn

Thank you Linda in AZ. I’m a year and a half old Linea fan and I’ve found that I’m in a learning curve so I deeply thank you for you sharing your experience. It will help me in how I collect for the long term.

    1. Linda in AZ

Carolyn…you are quite welcome. As you can tell, I am very happy with how the outfits are coming together with both older and brand new Linea pieces. There is no expiration date on our beautiful, classic Linea clothing. We will look good for years to come.

  23. Carolyn

Thank you Linda in AZ. I’m a year and a half old Linea fan and I’ve found that I’m in a learning curve so I deeply thank you for you sharing your experience. It will help me in how I collect for the long term.

@Pat Ward – this page “Ask Louis” with all the questions/answers tends to display for about 1 month at a time and then it is archived. You won’t be able to view it once it is gone.

The home page http://www.louisdellolio.com/blog/ is where you can see the sneak peeks. You can go back in time on that page by using the drop down option on the right side “Archives” or you can do a keyword search for a fabric name, color, item#, and you should also note the words at the top of each page <> to see even more from that same day.

  25. Linda in AZ

Hello Louis. I received the Shadow Print blouses in magenta, orchid and rose. It is such fun to discover how many Linea items coordinate with these lovely blouses. I got the new glass bead necklaces. The Falling Leaf necklaces in gold, gunmetal and chocolate also look great. The WK pencil skirt in cassis goes well with the magenta blouse. And the orchid blouse looks lovely with the mallard pencil skirt. Both skirts were among my earliest Linea purchases. There are a of other combinations to come. For the ladies just starting out with Linea,I would say keep every piece. You will be able to build wardrobe combinations for years to come. Thank you, Louis, for the beautiful wardrobe I could ever have.

  26. Dawn

    Hi Louis!

Just wanted to let you know how gorgeous the Wine lamb leather jacket is. The fit is incredible. I had no intentions on purchasing the jacket but it was a last minute afterthought after seeing you put it next to the Port on Chantal. I really like that it is a darker wine and that it will work with the Port pieces amongst other things. I’m impressed with how well it was packaged. It’s been a long time since I’ve received anything from your line on a hanger with tissue paper and boxed.

Thanks for all you do! And that also includes Elaine and Jennifer!

  27. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

It was 100 degrees here today in Houston with a real feel temperature of 107. I have a lot of whisper knit, the swing, turtlenecks, the straight tunic, the new sleeveless, the new skirt, and cardi but will you have any tops blouses coming that may be a bit more suitable for Texas in the new fabulous colors, ie: DFG, caramel, port, etc?

I don’t mean to sound whiny. I’m just honestly over the hot weather but it will not let up.

Send us your cool Connecticut air please. 😃😃😃

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

First….it’s not cool here in Ct. the rain and humidity of Florence blew through today. Of course nothing like the hurricane, but it is still hot. This weekend summer turns to fall, and I hope cool temps come with it. There aren’t anymore blouses coming. Have you tried the shadow floral? The fabric is perfect for your climate and the print is truly beautiful.

  28. Beryl

My reply thanking you for what to wear with the forest green midi got buried way down, I’m suffering from hurricane stress. Fortunately we’re fine but those who left here3576 are are unable to return home due to flooded highways. It’s a mess,

    1. Bernadette

      Hi Beryl,

I understand how you feel. It felt that way during Harvey. I just know things will get better soon. Hang in there and know we are all praying for a quick recovery for you all.

      Hugs,
      Bernadette

  29. JBCinSD

Forest green has always been one of my favorite colors and I’ve bought multiples of the super ponte pants in that color. I also ordered the forest midi skirt. Will tops we coming in forest green?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear JBCinSD, the matching WK turtle has been posted and a long cardigan will be coming, plus the Big Deal in the Forest Green

  30. Beryl

Does the malachite sweater work with the forest green midi skirt. What other colors do you suggest to go with that skirt.
    Thanks,
    Beryl

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Beryl, the malachite does work well with it. The Dk Forest Green is so dark you should think of it as a neutral color. Almost anything you would put with black, navy or espresso you can put with DFG….from reds, to purples to camels and tans to caramel and alabaster…..wine and port and raspberry all look great with DFG. Royal blue, navy and all blues look good with it. I truly can’t think of a color that won’t look good.

      1. Beryl

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess the horrible aftermath of the hurricane numbed my brain.

  31. LeefromMinnesota

    Linea Ladies,
The new colors of the WK TN A72448 are posted and available on Q. Just snagged a caramel to add to my collection.

    1. Kathy/Wis

Thanks Lee, I need that color too.

    2. Enjay

Thanks, Lee. Grabbed the caramel. I really wanted that color!

  32. Ruth

Hi Louis, This autumn, I’m reminded of the beauty of your A2988054 Blazer Coat. I have it in much loved black but am wondering if it could be brought back in Heather Charcoal Gray? All the best, Ruth

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Ruth there is one too many numbers in the style # you have given!

      1. Ruth

        A298054 Single Breasted Blazer Coat

  33. Kathy/Wis

    Dear Louis
I recently sent two of your panther style link watches to be replayed. It says we are returning your two watches and your check because the warranty was provided by the manufacturer, who is now out of business.
I wish they would have read my letter a little more carefully or told me they do not replate watches if this is the case. Any advice is appreciated.
    The black suit is gorgeous.
    Thank you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy, actually TCJC did not make the watch, another company did, so they had nothing to do with its’ manufacturer. What they said is correct, the company that made it has closed, so there is nothing I can do. I wouldn’t even know how to advise you. I’m very sorry.

  34. Nedra

    Dear Louis and Louis fans,

We just returned from 2 weeks in Europe, mostly in the Dordogne region of France. I had planned my wardrobe far ahead, but when it came time to pack the weather was going to be much warmer than I had expected. So I packed 5 light weight dresses, all Linea, and as always wore jeans and a tunic on the plane…you guessed it, a Linea knit. This was my first all-Linea trip, and I always felt comfortable, well-dressed and “classy.” As you often show in your presentations, your clothes are very “packable” and look good straight out of the suitcase. Many thanks to you. And yes the trip was fabulous. –Nedra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nedra….your trip sound fantastic, and I’m so pleased the clothes worked well for your travels.

  35. Lily

I love your green beads with the fireball beads necklace. In the late 1980’s I was a young Buyer (mostly home decorative accessories)of some women’s accessories that included Swarovski jewelry. Their jewelry had crystals and gold plating that made costume statement pieces like your necklace is a statement piece. I confess that I still have some Swarovski jewelry after all these years. I’m looking forward to your piece being posted. It’s beautiful.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Lily…..Save your Swarovski pieces…..their value keeps going up….especially if it’s a major statement piece.

  36. Sarah

    Good Evening Louis
I was wondering if I could wear the port mock neck tunic
with the black or hcg cropped sweater?
I was re-reading your post on Port and was thinking about getting that item so that I had a Port
    item.
    thanks for your opinion
    regards
    Sarah

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sarah…ABSOLUTELY…..that’s really how I see mixing these pieces. They shouldn’t always be worn matching. The port mock neck tunic over a black bottom with the short black cardigan is perfect. Mixed with the grey or even the navy would be beautiful as well

      1. Sarah

        Good Morning Louis
        Thank you for your advice.
I’ve just ordered the port mock neck tunic.
I’m very excited to get my order- should be delivered this week for the hcg and black.
        Have a great day!!!
        Regards
        Sarah

  37. Carolyn

Thanks for the WK midi information. Your information permitted me to get mine before that are gone.

  38. Nancy

Guess what?! The WK midi skirts in grey, black, and forest green are posted!!! Now That I got mine I can relax and stop checking for it every day! Hope you all find yours too.

  39. Joanne

    Hi Louis
Will you be offering your faux suede and sequin pants on your October 3, QVC 1 two hour show?
    Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have no idea when they plan to script them…..When I know you will know. I have to order a pair for my SIL or I will be in big trouble. I hope my order doesn’t go to back order!!!!…LOL

  40. Sylvia

Louis, I got the Teal carnival necklace in the mail today. It is stunning! It looks even more beautiful in person than in pictures or TV. I LOVE it!!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sylvia……EVERYTHING looks better in person then on TV or pictures

  41. SusanB

The whisper knit midi skirt is posted.

    1. Sarah

Thank you- I just ordered a grey and black

    2. Beryl

Ordered all three colors. Love this skirt.

  42. Beryl

    summersault,
I’m in Wilmington,nc and things are still very bad in the state. fortunately we got our power back and so now i’m ordering more Linea. Your orders will take a while since the highways in the state are closed.

    1. Dawn

      Beryl,
My heart goes out to all those affected by Florence. At this point I’ve been on backorder for the suit jacket but if it comes to the point that someone’s life is risked over delivering a jacket than I would rather not have it. I just can’t read or watch about the devistation. Sending prayers.

Louis, this is for your Linea Ladies who are awaiting shipment of your Carnival necklaces and the new suits. Apparently, they ship from Florence, SC distribution center which was hit with the hurricane. I am unsure what other items of yours ship from there but there is a problem. Do not know if any of the items are water damaged or not. QVC has been telling anyone who calls Customer Service there is a delay and some have gotten emails as well while others have checked their orders online and there is a notice posted. I, just, wanted to post this in case any of the ladies have questions.

  44. Anonymous

    Dear Louis,

I posted a request here from my Linea Wish List & it went poof before I had a chance to see your reply. I’m repeating it, just in case you didn’t see it. I’m dreaming of an accordion pleated maxi skirt in WK or crepe. I have the shorter version you did in 2013 and a later one, and they are both so lovely and elegant. I recently saw a pleated maxi skirt in a bluish grey cashmere with a matching sweater and it was exquisite. Made me wonder if one could be done in whisper knit? So, I’m just putting a whisper in your ear, just in case you are so inclined to do a maxi version of your iconic pleated skirt. Hoping the maxi stays around a long time & doesn’t go out of fashion.

    1. Grace

The anonymous post above is from me. Grace

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Grace, WK won’t hold a permanent pleat, and to knit a pleat is extremely expensive…..way beyond QVC’s price point. I have sketched maxi and or long sunburst pleated skirts but the buyer say they haven’t been successful with them from anyone so they will not buy them. Even pleated sleeves have not done well.I believe in maxi skirts especially now that they are buying petites, but I was very surprised the Moss Crepe maxi didn’t sell better. For me it’s the perfect maxi skirt.

      1. Grace

Thanks, Louis. Good to know the realities of pleated skirts, both from the fabric/manufacturing end and QVC’s sales. But, darn it, just the same! I’m a big fan of your new moss crepe maxi, which drapes so beautifully, as well as the feather jersey one you did years ago. Have it in navy & grey and the fit is so perfect. I don’t know how you tailor it so that it doesn’t fall straight down from the waist, but curves in ever so slightly to create a more slimming effect. Same was true of the fit of the ponte maxi, which I LOVE and still wear. I swear, it takes off at least 10 pounds! Never have I seen a better fitting maxi than the ones you do at any price point. So, if you keep creating them, I will keep filling my closet with them!

      2. Goldie76

        Dear Louis,

Your instincts were not misplaced. I bought all three colors in the petite version of your Moss Crepe Maxi Skirt (A341730) and consider them to be among my wisest purchases this season.

I prefer the skirt turned partially around so that I have two seams showing in the front. Love it! It can go many places — very versatile, in my opinion. I am certain that these skirts will be cherished by me for a very long time. So glad I bought them. I had better write a review.

        1. Grace

Goldie, I’m totally with you–also got all three colors of the moss crepe maxi. I love it. Like you, I switch around the front to the two seams, but I’ve found it works either way. The lovely drape of that skirt is what makes it my favorite. I’ve worn it for errand running and out to dinner. Goes anywhere and is so comfortable to wear. I think once the ladies try it–especially since it’s now available in petites–they will be hooked.

(Also, I just saw your earlier reply in the caramel leather jacket post.)

          1. Goldie76

I responded to you over there, under the Caramel, Grace.

  45. Bernadette

Just an FYI… my carnival necklace and my novelty/Byzantine necklace are still in process after 4 days. I called the Q and they said that it’s due to the store and that the warehouse is in the Carolina’s. If anyone knows this to be untrue please let me know. They have fibbed to me before.

    1. Bernadette

      Storm. Not store

      1. Tylerpoo

Hi Bernadette, I live in SC and yes the warehouse is near Florence,SC, funny the name of the storm is the name of the city where the warehouse is!

      2. Tylerpoo

Bernadette, apparently there is a Florence,SC and a Florence NC. I know when I send any jewelry returns, it is addressed to Florence SC. Either way the warehouses are in the Carolina’s.

        1. Bernadette

Thank you Tylerpoo. It’s a relief that they didn’t make up a story. I cringe when I call because I never know if they are telling me the truth or trying to get me off the phone. 🤔

    2. jeancp

      Bernadette,
Most of the Linea jewelry pieces that I have received have arrived quickly to me (I live in North Carolina) because they are shipped from a warehouse located in South Carolina. I typically receive Linea jewelry much quicker than Linea clothing because of my proximity to South Carolina versus Pennsylvania. So, I do believe that the storm has impacted your jewelry orders. Take a deep breath and look forward to how much you will enjoy your new pieces 🙂

      1. Bernadette

Thank you Jeabcp. I am looking forward to it and praying for those affected by the storm. Harvey is still fresh on our minds and we all cringe when it rains here. 😢

    3. Laro

Bernadette, I received my black/silver carnival necklace yesterday. The shipping initiated in Florence, NC.

      1. Bernadette

        Thank you Laro. 😀

    4. Yvette

Bernadette, my Carnival necklace is still in process, too. I didn’t realize that the warehouse is in S. Carolina! That explains a lot. Thanks to your post, I now understand and won’t be as worried about my necklace.

  46. Beryl

Just told my Husband he’s buying me the black leather jacket for my birthday which is 10/1. .’s a Leo so enjoys your beautiful designs

    1. Yvette

Dear Beryl, it’s so good to see that you’re ok and thinking about Linea! Hope you get your phone service back soon.

  47. Beryl

We were without power for 2 1/2 days. Still no phone service and now flooding Big Time.
I meant A306566. Been living in these tops. So comfortable and pockets too.

    1. Bernadette

      Hi Beryl,

That number is Dennis basso. Maybe… A302566? If so, I love that one too!

    2. Grace

      Beryl,
Happy to hear you are safe & sound!!!

  48. Beryl

    Louis,
Would you consider making A306506 top with long sleeves. It’s a moss crepe top with side pockets and ballet neck.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Beryl, First….how are you!???? I hope Florence didn’t hurt you …..second A306506 is a Susan Graver s/s top

    2. jeancp

      Beryl !!!!

Oh My Goodness…….it’s so good to see your post. You have been on my mind throughout this terrible hurricane. I was so worried about your well being, with all of the pictures of the flooding in Wilmington. And here you are online asking about a Linea piece 🙂 So thankful that you are alright.

  49. AZ Donna

Hi Louis, I purchased the crinkle georgette shirt/w tank in Dark Olive. I held it up against the Port wk skirt and thought it looked good, although the light wasn’t great. What are your thoughts about this combo?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think the combo is fabulous. I love all wine shades, Port included, with all shades of olive. It’s actually a very classic combination.

      1. AZ Donna

        Thank you Louis!

  50. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

One more thing… will the caramel turtleneck work with the adobe faux de chine pleated skirt?

    Bernadette

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bernadette……Before I looked at them I was thinking no, the adobe will be to gold, but I was wrong. When I put the two together the adobe is a little lighter but the two colors look very good together! SO my answer is yes. I would then say that the skirt will look good with anything in the Caramel color including the leather jacket!

  51. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

I was digging through your archives and was wondering if you will do anything similar to the love knot necklace or the Byzantine long necklaces again. I did pick up the new one but lov the older one as well.

Loved the show and the sneak peek necklace Kate was wearing withe the malachite swing top!😍😍😍

    Hugs,
    Bernadette

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Bernadette you never know……Maybe an addition to the Byzantine group, but I’m not feeling the love knot at the moment……The necklace Kate was wearing is outrageous! It has a kind od vintage 40’s 50’s look but it’s very modern. I have started to see that type of necklace, which I call the BROACH” necklace, popping up here and there……They were all very expensive, and honestly….I like mine better!

      1. Bernadette

Will the Broach necklace come with earrings? 🤞🤞🤞

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

No Bernadette, the buyers felt it was too expensive with an earring, but a simple pearl stud will be good. I actually showed on Kate a vintage Linea earring that was part of the Byzantine group. It has a color cabochon bead top surrounded by a gold Frame, and it came with two interchangeable drops. One was a pearl drop and the other a color drop.

          1. Bernadette

Sadly, I was too late to the party to snag that earring. 😢😢😢
            I’ll check eBay though.

            Have a happy Sunday!
            Bernadette

  52. Tylerpoo

Dear Louis, please give us the length of the long trench coat, they come in Reg and Petite?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Tylerpoo, sorry for the delayed answer…..I measured my sample hanging from the hanger and from the high point shoulder to the hem. for the size 4 it is approx 49 1/2 to 50 inches. The petite should be approx 3 to 4 inches shorter.

  53. Jane J.

Good morning, Louis. Can you tell us something about the fit of the faux suede pants. When I have seen them on the models, they look very tight — almost like leggings — and short — just barely ankle length. I would really like to get them when they are offered but I’m trying to figure out if this is a style that will work for me. Thank you, Louis for all the great clothes.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

They are not leggings! It’s the substantial fabric that gives them that slim look, but they aren’t tight. They are slim at the bottom so they can’t be too long. Don’t know the inseam length. I just measured my sample. First, the faux suede pant is numerically sized. The inseam of my size 4 sample is 30″. These are more of an ankle pant. These are PULL-ON pants and have a lot of STRETCH! I would recommend you ordering your normal numerical size in pants…Always check the click here measurements, but They are not running small or big. The models love the fit.

      1. Jane J.

Thanks, Louis, for all the fit info. I am sure the models loved the fit, but, unfortunately, we don’t all look like the models! I am plus size, so I am not able to do a pant that is too slim or form fitting (thus my concern about their being tight). I will definitely check out the Click Here measurements, particularly the back rise measurement which is always tricky for me in the pull-ons. BTW, the new trouser pants that go with the blazer and coming Tuxedo jacket fit well (even though I am 5’9″ I will have to have them hemmed). Thanks again for the info and help.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane the only help I can offer is to say that we do fit all the plus size garments on a plus size model so many changes are made to accommodate our plus customers….but everyone is different so that isn’t a guarantee that these will work for you.

  54. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. Will the sequined pants be in S, M, L etc or will they be numerical? Zipper or pull-on? Thanks.

    Sheila

      1. Joanne

        Hi Louis
Will the faux suede pants come as S,M,L also, like the sequin, pants or will they be numbered sizes.
        Thank you.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

The suede is numerically sized and this fabric has lots of stretch. I would order the size you order in your numerically sized Linea pants.

      2. Yvette

Thank goodness! That will make it easier for us to get the right size on the first try. They’re going to sell out so fast, there won’t be a chance to re-order a different size.

        1. Joanne

          Yvette
For sure they will sell out fast!

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

I think these will be easy to order the right size. they are easy pants, but not big, so your normal sml size should be perfect.

  55. Shay

    Hello Louis!
I am new to this site, but not to your fabulous clothes! I love your new port and caramel colors, but am wondering: Did I miss the faux suede pants?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Welcome Shay….no you didn’t. I like to show, or what I call sneak peek, some items early on shows before they will be sold so you all can make sense of how all of these pieces work together. This way you can plan ahead and know what you are buying now will work with whats coming. The caramel faux suede pant and matching caramel TN will be in Oct. Since the TN is a reorder it should be avail sooner that the pant which is a new item.

  56. Sheesh

Great shows, Louis! And thanks for the shout out on the “Sheila” Black/Silver Carnival necklace. Mine is on its way to me. Now, can you do the Black with Gold tubes—exactly the same, but Gold. I think that would also be a very big hit. Finally, we need a Carnival with Copper/Rosetone tubes—if such a combination goes with something you are planning for next year, of course. I’ve said it before, Louis, this Carnival necklace is your Whisper Knit of your jewelry line! Keep ’em coming……

    Sheila

  57. Sharon

Hello Louis. I waited so long to pick a color in the lamb leather that the Magenta sold out. But I already have two so I’m happy. I need to know how many sequin pants are coming for your linea ladies? IEverytime you show them it drives the ladies crazy so I hope you have a lot so we don’t have to fight over them.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m afraid there aren’t going to be enough. They bought them reluctantly so the order is not a big one.

      1. Sharon

OMG that is not good news for the Linea ladies. Maybe you should sneak peek us the tuxedo jacket or some other new items to take our mind off those pants. Did you know how obsessed we linea ladies are with your clothes and patience is not in my vocabulary. Now that the lamb leather jackets are gone maybe a navy or red would be nice. How about pink or baby blue might be nice too.

        1. Karen in WA

I want baby blue, or sky blue, clear blue.

  58. Bernadine Reid

I just tried to order the below items but because of Ca. Prop 65, they were not allowed to ship them to me. This is very distressing as I fear that there will be a lot of things that I will no longer be able to buy.

    A259108 – Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Pullover V-neck Sweater

    A259108 – Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Pullover V-neck Sweater

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris, absolutely, and it looks fabulous on colors like the scarlet red, royal and purple etc etc.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Bernadine, I know nothing about this California Prop 65? The first I heard about it was the tights, and I thought that was an isolated product. Now your saying it applies to garments? This is so out of my control. This is QVC’s problem, and i would think any company that ships to Cal. way beyond QVC. I’ll ask my manufacturer on Monday…..It’s always something!!!!! Why can’t they all just let us live in peace!!!!!

      1. Sheesh

Louis, Prop 65 applies to some dyes—especially red dyes.

        Sheila

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have never heard about this from my manufacturer. You have to realize these clothes are planned 6 months and more ahead of when they will be shipped to QVC

      2. Yvette

Louis, I know that this Prop 65 thing is no laughing matter, but I had to let you know that you made me laugh out loud this morning. “Why can’t they all just let us live in peace!” just expresses perfectly what so many of us feel so often nowadays LOL. I’m just happy to live in crazy ole New Orleans where I can choose whatever dyes I want in my clothes!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

You know Yvette, things just get more and more complicated, and annoying. You have to be a wiz to operate anything. I realize the children of today grow up with these things and know everything about how things operate….but….I wouldn’t trade my childhood for their’s….ever!….as the song goes….”give me the simple life”

      3. Bernadine Reid

Prop 65 affects everything that is shipped to CA. One lady couldn’t get a pair of sunglasses from Susan Graver. Another was a necklace. From what I’ve read, it’s the manufacturer that has to put these warning labels on their products.
I agree, why can’t they just live in peace. Every time we turn around, it’s another regulation.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Everything has to be difficult, everything has to have a road block in front of it just to make our lives more difficult! I swear there must be a little group of miserable people who think of ways to make us all miserable!!!!!

  59. Tylerpoo

Louis the show was Fabulous! Will there be any caramel bottoms, skirts, pants beside the faux suede pants that is coming?Would like a caramel ponte pant, skirt and matching WK top. Thanks

  60. Cela

    Wow wow WOW,
What a show, Louis. I’m loving Everything magenta, how gorgeous will it be with
Linea colors, past and present, how “Escada”!!!
I’m set for Fall’18! Just one question, will there be a reorder of the Pompeii necklace? If so,
I’d like to vote for a certain color.🎆

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Don’t know but new colors were already put in so it’s too late for other colors. What were you thinking?

      1. Cela

Well I didn’t know it had been reordered, but that’s a good move! I
Was thinking black would be classic, and also MAGENTA?

  61. dianne

I saw your copper lariat necklace on QVC models but QVC does not carry it…How can I purchase it?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

They do carry it, and if it’s still avail it will be on the QVC Linea Jewelry site.

  62. andrea

My question disappeared before I could read it. Will your new forest green go with the hunter green of about three years ago?

    1. Chris/Jazzmom

I have the hunter green WK pants & the deep forest green & hunter green are 2 different greens.

  63. Gail

After receiving the port blazer I entertained myself by trying it with other Linea items in my closet. At first I considered exchanging it for a smaller size, since my usual 12 was a bit roomy. I’m 5’7″, 147 lbs. But it looked good over lightweight tops and fit ok in the shoulders. Then I put it over my funnel neck lilac mist sweater, which is thicker and I loved it. I also tried it under my olive trench, which is the same fabric as the jacket. I loved this combo. My straight leg pants in olive match the trench perfectly, so that, with the port trench gives me an outfit that pleases me. A number of my WN turtlenecks will fit in with this combo.I’ve dropped a few pounds so I might go to a small or 10 in some pieces, but the superb tailoring and fabric used allow me to use varying sizing. Now for the red trench!
Sometimes I feel that I am back playing with paper dolls, having fun changing outfits.

  64. Melissa W

    Louis,

I so agree with Somersault! Since I have been buying your line, you have always brought beautiful things, but your last few collections have left me broke! I don’t feel bad though as I’ll have these classic quality pieces for years.

Great show yesterday. As always, love the sneak peeks. Another carnival necklace to look forward to! And the black/port moss crepe and velvet dress?? Yes please!!

    Looking forward to today’s show!

  65. Somersault

Louis, your Fall Collection is shaping up to be a KNOCKOUT! Not sure if the buyer has changed or if QVC has, finally, given you the freedom to do what you do best! Regardless, we benefit! I cannot wait for your Holiday Collection as well since it’s been so many years since QVC has allowed you to have one. Thrilled as well with all the shows they are scheduling which I know has to be exhausting for you. You are the only true designer that QVC has and we are blessed in having you and your talent. A three time Coty Award winner and a Coty Award Hall of Fame, spectacular! WOW! Blessings to you! oxoxoxoxo Cat
