The Big Deal lamb leather jacket is posted.
Hello all. Could someone remind me when those red and hcg ponte pants will be offered? Is it tomorrow or nov? Thanks in advance. Pamela in the not so sunny south.
Got it. NOV. Thanks.
I ordered several things from your show last week – one of which was the trenchcoat in Black. I ordered right away as I knew it would sell out. Well – my package arrived today from QVC, and the packing slip says the trenchcoat should be in the box, but it wasn’t. Some idiot in the warehouse put some pants in there (not even a close match on the item number) instead of pulling the trenchcoat, and now I have lost out on the trench I was planning to take on my trip. I am quite disgusted and also in tears, as I wanted that trenchcoat so badly. I had my heart set on it – and now, thanks to some idiot who either can’t read, or didn’t pay attention, I lost out on a beautiful coat. Hope you will bring this back next year in Black – maybe I will be lucky enough to get one then.
Call Customer Service and make sure you are on any waitlist that they have, as there may be returns. I’ve had that same thing happen to me before, and I know your frustration. It’s like we’re placing requests to order these days, not real orders.
Joanna, I truly feel your pain! The same thing happened to me although it was the faux suede pants in caramel. I had bought several items in caramel to go with the pants. When I opened the box instead of the faux suede pants I had a pair of black vintage jeans and of course the faux suede pants in smaller sizes in caramel are all sold out! What a bummer! What is happening to QVC and quality control!!
I don’t know – but – QC at the “Q” is not what it was. I am so ticked off by this error I could scream. I called customer service and, of course, they can’t offer any solution to the problem. They offered me a $10 credit on my account – fine – but that doesn’t cut it when I can’t get the item I ordered! I had my heart set on that coat and I am as ticked off as you are about the pants. Sadly, we are at the mercy of the shipping department. Unfortunately, QVC isn’t ordering big amounts of inventory on ANYTHING anymore, so if I order something I expect to get it. You can’t even count on an exchange, as items sell out. All very frustrating!!
Joanna, what size trench are you looking for? If I see one, I’ll do a Shout Out Thread on the Q Forum to alert you. I’m stalking for a Black–and could kick myself for not ordering one. I did get the Scarlett and it is fantastic! Don’t give up hope yet……
Same thing happened to me with the sequin pants. They were not delivered and missing . The other items were in the bag. I ccould not believe they would send out a $300 order in a plastic bag. Customer Servicce was not much help. I am now on the dreaded wait List for a larger size as my size is sold out. I too got up in the middle of the night to make sure I got my order in early. I am really mad about this slip up.
So distressing to read of the big new tariffs imposed on leather goods. Not surprising, though, since tariffs hurt the consumer and we pay the increased costs. Makes the upcoming Big Deal and even bigger deal. Hope I get my size right since they will surely be sold out quickly.
Is this right time to start making requests for A/W 2019 or is it too late?!
I need many simple, classic long but not tunic length, somewhat fitted, v-neck WK sweaters with long sleeves that have a ribbed cuff in colors like port, caramel, winter white, trench-coat-red, etc.
That was sort of specific, but my point is that since they discontinued your v-neck sweater a few years ago, I’m feeling the loss!
Thank you!
Oh, and the new trench in winter white, please.
Hear, hear! I treat my Whisper Knit V Necks like gold. I have eight and regret that I do not have more! All the substitutes have swing hems or are too long in the arms. And please do not make the arms longer.
Teri….don’t know why the arms should be longer. There is a standard length we always use?
I would like a v-neck in the same body shape as the A295878 Whisper Knit Tunic with Side Slits.
I agree. I would love to see a new WK v-neck and also a cowl neck without the swing bottom.
Just a suggestion.
YES to the V-neck and the cowl neck!!
Another yes to the v-neck! All-time favorite WK.
I’m with Kate on this request! I think I own every color of the old v-neck. It’s the perfect sweater, and it needs a rebirth! (In caramel and mushroom!)
Yes to the V neck with a straight bottom. Not a tunic but a few inches longer then your Big Deal whisper knit sweater with the embroidered sleeves.
Another “YES!” to the classic Whisper Knit v-neck in both long and short sleeves. I brought many of them and wear them every week. I’m afraid that they will eventually wear out and I will have no replacements to wear. Please redo this classic v-neck with straight bottom and no flair at the bottom. Thanks for all you do!
Carol
Last night I wore the new sequin pants to my 50th high school reunion. They looked beautiful. They have a subtle shimmer that will be appropriate for many occasions. I wore your ivory safari style shirt and back shimmery beads. I looked and felt great ( I just had back surgery a couple of months ago). The pants are so comfortable. They are now my favorite dressy pant. Thanks Louis. I wore your clothes to all the events. You have taken so much of the pressure of “what to wear” off my plate! It’s always Linea!
Linea Faux Suede pants. OMG they’re on fire! XS fits like you tailored it to my body. Fabric fantastic, color saturation-spot on and the seaming is what really elevates them. Got one in every color-should have bought multiples. This is one (among many) of your best designs ever!
Must have more colors next year—Dark heather grey, navy and port.
Louis also please consider a pull on skirt in this fabric for next year. This faux suede fabric is luscious.
Louis, is that beautiful blue velvet top with the flounce in the photos of the holiday necklace a sneaky sneak peek? The faux suede pants are terrific, I express ordered them in black to take to Italy this Tuesday. The caramel trench will be waiting for me when I get home. I hope I’m in a place to order the Big Deal on the 10th – at least our hotel in Rome has wi-fi! Thanks for all your wonderful designs!
Yes Sue, that’s a new crushed velvet top from my Holiday collection.
OMG, it’s beautiful! Would you divulge the colors if might come in and when/what show it might be on?
Dear Sue, you question shows up in a list of questions, so I’m not sure what you are referencing to? What would you like to know about? If it’s the velvet top it will be in blue, red and black.
Hello Louis,
I would like to purchase your Wisper Knit tunic tank to wear as a vest with a blouse or tee shirt underneath. Would you recommend going up one or two sizes to do this? I am 5’9” and my usual Linea size is small.
Many thanks.
Dear Ingrid, They are so stretchy, that I don’t think going up a size is necessary, but that does depend on what you want to layer with. One size would be more than enough.
I have done that with years with my Linea WK tanks. Absolutely no problem. They are also great for travel as you can get different looks from them.
Hi Louis, like Carol I need NO more coats – but of course I’m looking at Wednesday’s Big Deal. What can I say, I just loooove leather. Anyway, being a Lineaputian I would need to shorten the sleeves. What say you about the possibility of shortening these sleeves? Normally I would just turn up an all knit sleeve. Advice?
Dear Yvette….I gave the sleeve a good look to see what’s going on. The leather portion of the sleeve is already hemmed and lined so shortening that portion wouldn’t be difficult. However, the rib knit section, which is not lined, is not hemmed and ends with the rib like an every needle rib WK. It can be hemmed with the leather in one operation, but it would take someone who knows what they are doing. I would not cut the rib, but a tailor could and finish the end with seam binding so it wouldn’t unravel. It sounds more complicated then it is, but as I said it would need someone who knows how to do it.
Louis, a few years ago you sold leather jackets—and I bought the red, green and black. I am petite and taught sewing for years. My tailor hemmed the sleeve without cutting. After discussion, she hemmed the leather as usually and blind-stitched the knit. Hope this help.
Cecilia aka ceicei
Ceicei, would that mean that she turned it under and sewed the leather part of the hem by machine, and the knit part by hand?
There are ways to do this. I would discuss it with a experienced tailor and they will tell you the options and the cost involved. For me the cost was worth. It. Considering the price of this leather jacket, I was willing to pay for the alteration to end up with a fabulous leather jacket for less than I would pay retail.
Thanks, Ceicei.
Dear Louis: I just read your “Request” and after trying to find that spot on the computer, I have to face the fact that my computer literacy skills are lousy!!!!! I am totally over the moon about your sequin pants (so much more actually) and would love to shout it from the roof tops, but leaving a comment on the page it’s listed on is the end of my skill level. Those pants are everything and more that I hoped they’d be. Actually I was shocked when they came yesterday via UPS since QVC has been sending everything via the local post office which is slow and horrible. If there’s anyone who can direct me to the site you spoke of, I will, with great enthusiasm, share my wild delight with anyone that would read it. Thank you, thank you, thank you for designing and selling those beauties so perfectly and at a price I can afford!!!!!!!
Nancy: do you know how to look aup your orders at the QVC.com website?
Look at your sequin pants order and you should see an option to write a review.
Dear Nancy, If you still haven’t found how to write a review after trying Maureen’s suggestion….just go the the Linea Fashion site where all the clothes are shown,…look up the sequin pant, either petite or reg., and there should be a “write a review” sign. Just click on it and it will come up. You write a title in the box and in the box below write your review, then hit, I believe it says enter.
There are 3 ways you can locate to write a review —
(1) log into your name, click on order status/orders & locate the Oder & click on the words ‘write a review’ next to that item. It will take you directly to that item.
(2)Go to the Linea Forum to the Current Month’s List of new items thread & click on the item number which will take you directly to the item.
(3) Type in the item # on the QVC search bar & that item should come up.
Since the sequin pants in both lengths & the blazers are sold out, you cannot locate them on the Linea clothing page. You have to locate them via the ways I suggested.
Hi Louis – What is the bid deal for Q2 this coming week? Any item numbers available? I will be out of town, but want to check in online. Any help you can give would be appreciated.
Dear Joanna. it’s a long leather topper with knit combination. I already posted the sneak peek photos. Just keep scrolling down until you find it. There are 5 colors. You will have to click on “older” at the top left to get to them. They aren’t on the first page anymore. I believe it’s the only leather Big Deal this year!
Thanks for your help – I will check it out!
Joanna, look on the Linea forum at QVC for the October Shows & List thread. The Big Deal is there but not live linked yet. The thread can be easily found because I put Autumn colored maple leaves in the title.
Hi Louis!
The shows were great the other day. Didn’t get too much done the other day but thank goodness for leftovers!
My orders arrived this afternoon. I’m on a free trial for UPS and they notify the Q that they will handle the delivery of packages instead of being passed onto USPS. I’m going to continue with this service when it expires because the USPS is terrible in my area. Recently had the berry & plum necklaces come up missing after they were supposedly delivered by an alternate USPS driver. The Q was good about sending replacements. I’m probably on the “List” at the USPS for making waves over the package.
The Caramel trench is a beautiful color. I ordered up from my regular blazer size to accommodate layers. I have the shorter length trench in Blk; same sizing. I’m 5’6″ and ordered the petite. I almost changed my order to the regular length when I saw MB wearing it during the presentation. I’m glad I did not. It falls a few inches— maybe 3″ above my ankle. The Caramel faux suede pants fit wonderful in my regular size and regular length. I haven’t tried the Blk suede yet. I ordered both Blk and Caramel cardigans but went down a size. The dress in Blk/Port is on the way and I hope I ordered the right size due to the stretch. BTW,the tuxedo tights have been marked down again since I ordered the other day.
All in all I am very happy with the purchases. Thank you for all you do in making women look and feel good!
Dawn
Frustrated in California. I tried to order the lunchtime special, stripe swing, A227743 and was rejected. QVC won’t ship to California because of Proposition 65. Fortunately, they are shipping my trench coat.
This is so confusing? why does one pass and not another. For such a liberal state they have to loosen up a bit. That top has to be two years old……no problem two years ago!
Hi Carol
I just looked up the item- it’s on a last clicks price. So still available at the discount.
Maybe you have a friend that lives in another state that you can do bill to ship to.
Then they could forward on to you. A little inconvenience, but it’s a good value for a nice item that is perfect for the California weather. Good luck.
Sarah
Dear Louis,
You have really been on a roll! So many beautiful items to choose from that I don’t know if I’ll run out of money or room first. (Probably room because your items are soooo reasonable.) FYI – I loved A302599, the gauze crepe shirt with the sequins and am shocked that it is on clearance. I have everything you make in this fabric but I especially liked that shirt.
Appreciatively,
Donna
Donna, what color did you get? The black top happens to look fabulous with the new sequin pant…..Everyone would look great in that especially my plus ladies who always have a hard time finding really beautiful plus evening wear that doesn’t look dowdy.
Hi Louis,
I ordered it in both black and turquoise when it was first presented. I was thrilled when you mentioned wearing it with the sequin pants since I already had the shirt (and it had not occurred to me to pair them) . I am going to pick up a black top for my sister as well. For some reason, lately when I type in the CAPTCHA code it says error so I re-submit and sometimes even re-type my message and then sometime later both messages appear. ????
Donna, that happens to me all the time, and most times it’s posted
When that happens to me (getting an error message), I open another tab to see if the first message went through. It always goes through. So check first before writing another response.
Hi Louis,
You have really been on a roll! So many beautiful items to choose from that I don’t know if I’ll run out of money or room first. FYI – I loved A302599, the gauze crepe shirt with the sequins and am shocked that it is on clearance. I have everything you make in this fabric but I especially liked the style of that shirt. (I’d like it even without sequins. hint!)
Louis, why doesn’t QVC order more of the small sizes in your clothes. I wear a 4 and so often they are gone before I get a chance to buy them. It seems like they always go first so that would indicate that more are needed.
I did love your 10:00 show this week. I bought 4 items and am waitlisted for 1 more. Luckier this time!
Thank you for bring such attractive clothing to QVC.
Dear Frances, the buyers have a budget for each item, and they order on a curve, meaning the smallest and the largest sizes are ordered the least amount, the middle sizes, M, LG, XLG are the largest quantities. That’s their formula. Actually it is a standard formula for all retailer. The only time they ever deviate from that is when a style is obviously better suited for a smaller or larger woman, but that rarely happens.
One would think that when they see that in your clothes the small sizes constantly sell out that more are needed. Intelligence should overrule formulas!
Please excuse my confusion, will the new red ponte pants be A285548 the ponte straight leg or A298446 the ponte slim leg? I know this has been discussed but some are calling it straight leg and some are calling it slim leg. Thank you in advance.
Judy….A298447 is the style number, and A298446
Thank you Louis but, I think you mean A298446 and A298447. One of the numbers you posted A289446 is a Denim & Co tank.
That’s me Judy….my dyslexia rearing its’ head. I tend to invert the numbers!!! When I have to send lists of the style numbers of clothes and shoes I want the stylists to order for a show I can really get into trouble. Sometimes the numbers are so wrong I don’t know where I got them from!!!???
Hi Louis,
Your shows were wonderful. I recorded them so I could go back and study how you styled all the items. I purchased two of the trench coat, black and red plus many other beautiful pieces. I would like to ask about the big deal. Can the sleeves be turned under or shortened? I would also like to know if there is any chance you are bringing back the winter scarf you had a few years back. Thank-you for all you do for your Linea fans. We are blessed.
Just received caramel trench expedited delivery. I got a petite. I am 5’3”. Perfect fit, length and sleeves. I have the red trench, sequined pant, and faux suede coming tomorrow. This fall’s collection has been outstanding. Awihile ago I posted that I didn’t really need more clothes and you replied at this age if something gives you pleasure that is important. It really touched me. I had both knees replaced three months ago and I am still recuperating. Pickiing out new clothes this season has helped me look forward to the opportunities to do things I haven’t been able to do for awhile. Planning upcoming events and trips wearing all my new fabulous clothes. Thank you. Please know that you touch people’s live and make a difference.
Cecilia
Dear Ceicei…..there are so many sayings about “make hay while the sun shines”, “live now because who knows what tomorrow may bring” etc etc. Let me tell you, if Jac and I had a crystal ball to see into the future we wouldn’t have procrastinated about taking trips we always wanted to take, but this or that always got in the way…..mostly ourselves!!!!! So if you like something and it’s going to make you happy…and you can afford it…..GET IT!!! no matter what it is….What good is the money when we’re not here to spend it…..That’s something I too have to think more about!
Well said Louis and so true!! I have bought so many of your items and I love them!
Thank you for sharing your designs with us!!
I always tell my husband, when he sees those QVC bags rolling in with your clothes in them & starts making sardonic comments, that he should think about my appearance as a credit to his great taste.
Hi Louis
Great show yesterday! I am glad I set my alarm for 4:00 a.m. and purchased all of my goodies. There is a lovely gal whose handle is JustJazzmom that provides all of the live links on the forum for quick efficient ordering. We, Linea Ladies, are so appreciative of her efforts. My goodies are all in process and I am joined by many people on the bad girl bench.
Louis-another fabulous fashion show I call it now. The caramel and dark forest green colors are stunning and a favorite of mine. I can’t wait for the art nouveau pendant what a beauty. I watched the show again with hubby when I got home from work and wanted me to get the caramel leather/WK jacket but it’s sold out I was going for the forest green but maybe the caramel will pop back in stock if I’m lucky. My husband also noticed your shoes and commented how comfortable they look if you don’t mind sharing the brand, he thought you designed for men as well but I told him he was out of luck….LOL
Dear luvitorleaveit…..I’m embarrassed to tell you the brand name!!!!…The older I get the harder it is on my feet to be on them ALL DAY. The shows may be 1 or 2 hours, but I am constantly on my feet before and after the shows. I have a closet full of shoes…most from England and Italy…..but….it’s the black suede “Hush Puppies” I always take with me!!!! LOL Your husband is right, they are very comfortable.
Thank you Louis you are a sweetheart I will tell my husband. I remember Hush Puppies I think they use to have a store years ago on 34th Street near Macy’s if I’m not mistaken. Comfort is important especially for the feet, I too am aware of that as I get older. Thanks again for the info and stay well.
QVC has to take notice of yesterday’s shows sell outs. I don’t think I have seen another label sell as Linea did yesterday.. I knew to shop as soon as posted as I’m on the west coast. His faithful knew what was likely going to happen, but I would guess if there were more in the items, they would have sold, too. I would hope that Linea will get more time and attention now! The show was pure pleasure to watch. I even watched it again just to see if I missed any items coming in the future. Congrats, Louis!
Great show. You were as energetic showing your new collection as we were buying it! I certainly did my part to stimulate the economy yesterday! Red, caramel, black -they were all in my cart! I am not a turtleneck gal so I am hoping for other caramel top styles in WK.
Hi Louis,
Great show this morning. I am yet to watch the afternoon one. I’m glad I placed all my orders last night.. look forward to getting them all soon.
It was indeed a sell-out show! Congratulations!
I have a small request – I have seen you teach the trench coat belt tying a few times now but it’s never crystal clear. By the time the camera zooms in, you are almost done or the angle is such that you are covering the tying part. I am very bad at making bows or belting haha. Could you please post a video of the famous knot? If not here, may be Jennifer could post it on the Facebook page. Please…
Good evening Louis
I hope your drive home was pleasant. Today was so much fun- all 3 shows enjoyable.
I need to purchase all 3 of the straight leg pants and was prepared to do so, then while searching I came across the new dresses.
What a true surprise and delight. I’m hoping all of my purchases process and deliver smoothly- I was so delighted to be able to purchase your wonderful items.
Then later in the day Mr UPS stopped by with the port skirt and port whisper knit round neck with slits.
I was laughing when I tried them on because I definitely need the port tights( they should be here tomorrow).
Especially important for me since I had to purchase the petite skirt. I was a little concerned about the length (5’7” and not in possession of the models’ knees).
I listened and followed your direction thankfully.
Thanks again for the treats and sneak peeks.
Sarah
What spectacular black sequin pants! And then you wow us with a Red Trench coat, and a gorgeous ruffle blouse to match.
Those pants can get you through the entire holiday season if you know what you’re doing. But Louis, you have two more shows in October
So what are you going to show with the longer leather jackets because the suede pant is already sold out?
You were right when you said this show would be good, I’ve Never seen anything quite like it on the q. Really was fun.
Cela….I have to review the “looks” I did for the Big Deal Jacket, but I will probably show my ponte pants and WK skirts, and my jeans. Since the colors of the jackets are Black, Dk. Forest Green, Port, Navy and Scarlet Red, I have a lot of things to pick from that are already avail.
Oh, I see, and you do have two new colors coming in scarlet red and grey. Sounds like fun…and a little work too!
Louis
I really enjoyed your shows today and look forward to the arrival of my latest purchases. I was wondering if the gunmetal hoop earrings Angela wore with the plum carnival necklace during the presentation of the port swing turtleneck (A268137, on your 10:00am show) were the ones you spoke of earlier this year that are part of the set of four earrings. Are those sets still going to be available later this year? Or have they been postponed? I am really looking forward to purchasing both sets. I also look forward to purchasing your holiday jewelry. Thanks so much!
Beth
Dear Beth….I am not sure if Angela was wearing the new one, which I did show, or the hammered version that went with the Scythe necklace. Either way they are very similar. The sets will be avail in Nov. for Holiday gifts.
Five hours of Linea, starting at 5:00AM! How glorious! Your 10:00AM show was a blockbuster! Your 2:00PM show was wonderful to refresh our memory of items we forgot about. Jennifer was wonderful on the 5:00AM show. You were in rare form as always. I, so, enjoy your written word of which you have a gift as did Jac. You both are wonderful storytellers. But you in person is the whipped cream on a Sunday! Besides being informative and educational on your designs and the background behind each, your sense of humour shines through! Loved the fact you hated to sew, loved that you know how to eat pasta, loved that you mentioned Jayne’s portrait of Jac and that Jayne had given you gifts for you to paint! Your designs are timeless as you well know but your artistic eye translates into other mediums. Your watercolors of each outfit are beautiful and water colors are a very difficult medium to work in, even your garden shows your artistic eye. I would love if you posted one of your oil paintings, although I think this might not be your favorite choice of medium because the fluidity is not there for you but this would not be the first time I am wrong! I guess this is a “love” letter to you and your talent and your Jac for entering into my life and adding to it for the better. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Dear Somersault, what you have said really touched my heart. I have to say, Jac was a much better writer than I could ever be. I to miss her stories very much. For as long as I knew Jac and for as long as we were together, she would always recall a new story to tell me. I often wonder how many stories I didn’t hear. I am still learning things about Jac from her sister, and I thought I knew everything there was to know….Sometimes, I think there was so much I didn’t know. Jac was a very private person…..sometimes even from me.
My dear Louis, that is a marriage! I have no doubt that your sweet Jac kept things private. You did know EVERYTHING, Jac, thought was important for you to know. You, my dear are Italian, you come from a warm country, it’s your nature. Jac, like me came from a country that had less sun. What she held back had nothing to do with you, she trusted you with her heart and her life but some things only belong to her. I am very similar after 48 years of marriage, there are some things my husband does not know, they are not earth shattering, small, really, just mine to keep. I am sure that you know things from Jac that her sister doesn’t know. What is the most important is what she gave to you freely with her whole heart and that was her love and her knowledge that you both would have the most wonderful life. What she kept was that tiny, little bit of her that would never make a difference to those who loved her! How very blessed you both we to have entered and shared a life! oxoxox Cat
What a fabulous show today! I thought that a few of the items were coming in November – like the dress – but so glad I watched and ordered right away. Also got that gorgeous trench coat, the faux suede pants, and some sweaters…yikes…but your things are so beautifully made and fit my classic style – that I just couldn’t resist!! A question – one of the models had on a gray pair of pants that you said were coming later – maybe Nov – or maybe just later – don’t know. So – no item number was mentioned, but as far as you know, the pants would be November? Will they appear on this website? You are always so good about giving us previews of beautiful things to come. Thanks for any information you may have on this.
Dear Joanna, The pant is A298446, which is the reorder slim leg Super Ponte pant. It is due in Nov., but I have seen them post reorders early….as soon as they are delivered and processed.
Oh – thank you. I will be on the lookout!
Hi Louis. I purchased the sequin pants in petite at about 4 am this morning and they are listed on my account as “in process.” When I click on them there, I am brought to a screen that says “We’re sorry. This item is not available at this time.” Did I lose out by not ordering them in regular? I hope not!
Nancy,
Are clicking on “View / Edit My Order” or on the item title/description that’s part of your order on the Order Status listing? If you’re clicking on the description, that will give you the current status of the item, not your order. I bet if you click on View, everything will be as it should be.
Thank you Lynn! You are right and fingers crossed all will be well. I am glad I woke up early enough to get them. They sold out so fast!
Dear Nancy…I have no idea. All I know is there were so many callers they couldn’t keep up. I see they are avail in very large sizes in the regular length and only one size in the petite.
Louis loved your shows today ,and yes made me buy more! I was able to snag the sequin pants ,searching through my drawers I came across two sweaters that will compliment the sequin pants A94748 and A84713 . Everything old is new again Thanks for the classics!
Thank you, Louis for the shout out on my comment on QVC2 with Antonella! Catherine says: The best designer on QVC. Amazing and talented! What a nice surprise!
Louis, Loved the Show! You and Mary Beth are a great team! My midnight order included the Caramel and Red Trench Coats! During the Show I started to think – where else am I going to get such a fabulously designed, superb quality Trench for that price! So I ordered the Black just before your presentation! Am very happy!
Seka.
Seka you are so right. I’m happy for you that you made that decision. I am very honest about the fact that ALL TRENCH COATS are versions of the original Burberry. I also have to say if you put mine on a rack with other designer trenches, including Burberry, mine will compete very well at a fraction of the price. I actually like mine better than many I have seen for well over $1000. You made the right decision!
Louis, The Design and Value Linea offers is why I don’t buy Burberry, Lafayette or Eileen Fisher anymore!
BTW – am planning to buy the Dark Forest Green and Black Big Deal Topper – we’ll see how well that plan holds up!
Seka.
Will there be additional pants coming this season in the Caramel or Dark Forest Geeen colors?
Great show with you and MaryBeth. Thank you.
No Sonia, The caramel suede and the Dk Forest green suede and Super ponte are it for this season, but I think there are Dk. F. Green still avail?. I haven checked the Faux suede, but keep looking. Probably in a few days some will show up…..they always do.
So I ordered the caramel turtleneck and noticed this morning how perfectly the black/amber combo seed bead necklace is with it! I suppose you would have showed that necklace with it, but that color is sold out.
This is why I feel so zen about buying all of your jewelry. A few years ago you did beaded necklaces (large beads) in olive, orange, burgundy with large metallic silver beads–remember those? Had matching earrings, came in two color ways. I reach for those constantly. Your jewelry is an investment that never stops paying dividends.
So now I am wondering about the red seed bead and all the red you showed today? How does that work back to the red trench? I’m thinking all black, red trench, red necklace?
Kate, Louis showed the red seed bead necklace under the read leather jacket on this site. The jacket is the same red as the trench, so it will work beautifully.
Kate, I reach for both of those necklaces, too. They work with so many current pieces/colors.
Sheila
I wear those necklaces a lot as well. They have colors that Louis uses in his clothes over and over again! I love that you can layer them together!
Dear Kate…..The red/gold seed beads work perfectly. I know I posted a picture of the red leather jacket with the seed beads they are a perfect match……and yes I remember the necklace very well. I have all of them in plastic bins. There are many times I would like to show many of the sold out pieces, but the Q doesn’t like for me to show things that aren’t avail to all the customers. I understand their point of view, but so much has sold out that I planned for fall that my options for accessorizing are getting limited!!!! The Red and the Royal seed beads are FABULOUS!.
All new items are up online. I ordered everything and some in multiple colors. Feeling ecstatic!
LADIES,,,,,,,,,,The sequin pants are on the QVC website!!!!!!!!!
Yes, just ordered my sequin pants!
Jolanta, I ordered by sequined pants at 1:30 am, and now see they are back order. Just wondering if your went to back order too? We are all trying to figure out how this happens.
Kathy, I’m sorry to hear that… My order is “in process” since the time I placed it. I received notification from QVC promptly after ordering. I ordered regular, if you ordered petite maybe there was shortage of merchandise? Just wondering why we had such different experience… Hope you will get yours.
Just a note to tell you what happened, after typing my message to you I went to my order and in my haste of ordering I hit speed buy. The item was on easy pay so when I changed that to one payment it immediately went to process, go figure? All my stuff is shipped so I’m pretty excited. Enjoy yours.
Louis,
Lori Goldstein has a “wardrobe” of heels—every color imaginable
As well as black, in case you didn’t think of going there.
Have a wonderful show!
Hi Louis! Can we talk shoes for the sequin pant? I saw the lovely single strap black sandal in the sneak peak and think that will be great while the weather cooperates. However, that is rarely the case where I live in the winter. So I am looking for ideas on closed toe options that will play well with the pant, both a flat and a low heel (<3"). For example, I found a pair of Donna Karan flat velvet mules, but there is a black sequin flower (3-D) on the toe. My gut tells me that it would be better plain? Also, if you were going to pair a dressier boot with the pant, what form would it take (short ankle boot, up to the ankle boot, higher boot hidden underneath, etc.)?
Dear Susan….look at the Marc Fisher, Vince Camuto, Franco Sarto, and Nine west pumps..Even Isaac has a nice D’Orsay pump. On the Q these vendors have the best. I’m sure there are gorgeous shoes in the stores. There is even a glitter pump but I have no idea what it looks like in real life. As for boots. an ankle boot would be best, a pointy toe will look dressier. Unfortunately there are only two that I found on the Q. On another note for the red trench I found two red booties, but they are already practically sold out so I don’t know what I will be getting for the show. It may not be my 1st, 2nd or even 3rd choice, but there isn’t much I can do about it. We must use QVC shoes!
Hi Susan,
FYI – Some years ago I purchased dress shoes with a sequin bow and they absolutely ruined (shredded) the hem of my favorite (and fabulous) dress slacks. Going forward, I have always avoided shoes with embellishment when wearing pants for that reason.
Hi Susan,
Wanted to share an experience… Some years ago I purchased dress shoes with a sequin bow and they absolutely ruined (shredded) the hem of my favorite (and fabulous) dress slacks. Going forward, I have always avoided shoes with embellishment when wearing pants for that reason. The last thing we would want to do is ruin our sequin pants.
Donna
Sorry, my reply did not show up so I wrote it again and now there are two.
Louis, have a safe trip! I have no doubt that the car is packed to the rafters! Please bask in the success of your 10/3/18 show. It will not only be a knockout but a sold out as well. I am soooooooooo excited to spend money! I hope the applause is ringing in your ears! oxoxox Cat
Hi Louis,
Just wanted to say how brilliant you were to make the pebble crepe boat neck tunic (A288390) in fall colors. It is October 1st but in the 80’s where I live. I am normally in a quandary about what to wear this time of year but thanks to you, I am both cool and dressed for fall. I’m always amazed how you anticipate just what we need. Looking forward to Linea shopping this week and next!!!
Dear Donna…you should give another look at the crepe gauze pieces too. All the pieces I presented in July, the Merlot, Teal and Black moss crepe and crepe gauze were meant for this time of year….TRANSITION
Those pieces are fabulous, I agree! I chose all three sets.
Hi Louis,
I can’t wait for your upcoming shows this month, I have my list at the ready! I plan to purchase the “Q2 Big Deal” on 10/10 and have a question about sizing. I have your olive trench in a size 12 which fits beautifully allowing for a sweater to be worn underneath, and the leather and knit jacket in several colors in size 10, which also fits beautifully. Which size in the Big Deal leather/knit car coat would you recommend I buy? Many thanks!
Mary
Dear Mary….I don’t like to give fit recommendations not being able to see the person, but if you have been happy with the 12 I see no reason to buy bigger or smaller.
Thank you, Louis, for offering your size recommendation sight unseen. I’ll be ordering the black leather coat in size 12. See you this Wednesday for the sequin pants and long trench (among other things)!
I just received the mushroom suit and the port blazer. Love love love the tailoring and they fit like custom made. The sleeve length isn’t too long either. The mushroom color is so yummy and rich looking. It’s kind of like a chameleon. Goes well with formal and casual wear. And the port is majestic. They don’t feel or look anything like the blazers in the fast fashion stores and these are as affordable if not more than the other blazers out there. I am in love with the mushroom color and I had to order the cardigan as well. Very different from all the taupes or neutral shades I have ever owned. Thank you for such classy pieces.
Pratton
I agree with you. I think the mushroom suit is a sleeper. It is a sensational color with its pink undertones. I also ordered the swing cardigan. I took the suit on a two day business trip last week. With different accessories and underpinnings, I made that suit look dramatically different both days. I also agree on the tailoring being superb. The jacket and pants without pockets are so slimming.
Hi Louis
Over the weekend I purchased an additional pair of your mushroom suit slacks as well as your black suit slacks. I also purchased a extra small mushroom swing cardigan. All the sizes show as “in stock.” But all my orders are on “Back Order” I just want to alert you to this as you will have heavy selling days this Wednesday.
Louis, Will you be posting a Sneak Peek of the Faux Suede Pant and the Long Open Front Cardigan?
Seka.
Hello Seka
you can see a video with Kate in the Caramel faux suede pant if you look at the latest video for the carnival necklace.
I think there are photos of the pant and sweater under Louis’ post on 9/24 for the Caramel Trench.
Happy Shopping
Sarah
Sarah, Thank you. Am pretty sure I’m going to love the Faux Suede Pant. The Caramel colour is so unique – much richer and deeper than camel.
Seka.
Good morning,Louis!
I am planning my battle strategy for this coming Wednesday. Sounds pretty intense, doesn’t it? But with your impeccable clothes and the limited quantities the Q orders of them, epic plans are needed. So while reading your blogs and perusing the pictures, the Art Deco necklace has charmed me, calling my name with what clearly looks to me like SP, my initials:-) Do you know when that pendant might become available? Thank you in advance for helping with my battle plans.
That’s so funny…I thought the same thing…, Louis has created a necklace that I believe I can claim as “P”.Love it!Thank you Louis! Taking the day off wed.,added a day to the beginning of my vacay..Pamela in the sunny south.
Shay
You are so funny about epic battle plans – this is how we all feel! Setting our alarms for the middle of the night to make our purchases, etc.
Louis Is there a number for the petite super ponte straight leg pants in CH G and scarlet red ?Thanks for your beautiful clothes and for being you Pat
Louis, would you be able to find out what the issue is with some of the blazers & pants? It’s been weeks & my order as well as others have been flipping back & forth between In Process & Backordered. Now QVC says there is a Quality Control problem & they can’t ship. Do you know what happened? Thanks!
I received my black blazer but have had the same issue with the port blazer that I ordered. Sometimes within minutes it goes from in process to back order and then back again. The good news is that the blazer was well received and I hope that means the Q will order again next year.
Donna my blazer shipped today!!! I hope your port one ships soon too!
Louis I don’t know if you will see this but my blazer shipped today. So maybe the other Linea Ladies will have their orders shipped soon too…
Unfortunately my black blazer continues to ping-pong between “backorder” and “in progress”… Any insights would be most welcome.
MAKP it’s really crazy! My blazer was going back & forth like that too, then yesterday it suddenly shipped! BUT in yesterday’s mail I got a letter from QVC apologizing that they would not be able to fulfill my order for the blazer..& they were “working with the vendor to obtain more stock” LOL. They are definitely having problems with the blazers & pants. And I will be out of town when my blazer arrives so I’m hoping they sent me the correct color, size & item!
Julie…..in a word……….CRAZY……….I don’t understand WHY they say they are working with the vendor to get more stock, when that is so untrue. Everyone would understand, and it’s more reasonable to say it is oversold.
The crazy thing is that they continue to sell my size and color of the blazer.
I’ve been ping-ponging for a week.
Louis I know you said it was a bummer that the items were still available, but that is not true if they
are not available for shipping.
I’m disappointed for me, but also for you.
Safe travels to the show.
Sarah
Sarah…if that’s the case, and they are showing items being avail that really are not then they need desperately to update the site. That would be a good title for a new post on the QVC Linea site.
Louis, I told QVC/CS twice about this problem–that they are showing availability for sizes of the jacket and pant that are backordered. I also posted it in the forum, as others have done as well, in the “Backordered” thread. I finally got my pants today after many weeks, but their system is still inaccurate judging by recent comments.
Grace. I know you realize I have no idea how they operate. I have told my buyer that sometimes they say the vendor is working to bring more in when they know that is absolutely false. It would take 6 months to bring more in, and that’s if the buyers reordered them, which they would never, since they have to wait 3 months to see how anything really does.
I forgot to mention that I left a voice message @ QVC Corp. I felt that the issue of orders placed “flipping” between “in process to Backorder” was an important issue to address as I’m sure there are other customers who experience the same thing. I also wanted to make them aware of the “extreme” (understatement) popularity of Mr Dell’Ollio’s items & that a larger quantity should be ordered. He is the best designer & so appreciated for all that he does for those of us who love his line. Hope I hear back from Q Corp. & that it does some good!
Good Morning Louis: Just checking on colors. Received my beautiful dark forest green midi (pencil) WK skirt – a297627. Happened to be wearing a green WK turtle in green from years past. Clearly it doesn’t match the dark forest green. My years ago turtle in green must be in something like “hunter green” or some such. My question: Does the green WK top with the embroidery on the sleeve MATCH the DFG midi skirt? Are there other tops currently in the line up that exactly match the DFG midi skirt?
I just got mine out today to look at them together, and they are the same color. They are, however, a different weight knit so they look slightly different from each other, but not in a mismatched way.
Hope Louis agrees.
Thank you Carol: I’m assuming you were checking out the new sweater with embroidery on the sleeve in dark forest green along with the dark forest green midi. Am I right?
Yes. I have both of those pieces.
Thanks Carol. Kind of you to take a minute to check that for me 🙂
The new long cardigan is coming in this green, too. This week’s show, I believe. It’s on my shopping list.
Wow! and Thanks again Carol! That’s on my list also 🙂 Thanks for the heads up! Happy shopping followed closely by swift and accurate shipping!
Hi, Nancy,
The regular turtleneck, A72448, is available in dark forest green.
In addition to the turtleneck, the lamb leather car coat will be offered in dark forest green. Looks gorgeous in Louis’s sneak peek.
Hearty Thanks JBCinSD ! So helpful to receive these tips on what else is coming or available to round out my dark forest green cluster. I ordered that DFG regular turtleneck over the weekend. I may be passing on the lamb leather car coat as I also just finally ordered the WINE lamb leather jacket. Think I got one of the very last in stock. I already had the green MOTO lamb leather jacket and find LOTS of good uses for it! Hopefully all who are planning purchases of the new lamb leather items will get just what they want in just their right sizes. And we’ll have to wait and see how things go with the sequin pants 😉
Hi Louis,
I was able to get a two colors of the cropped cardigan in my size. The remaining colors are in a larger size. I usually wear an xs. Could a medium be tailored to an xs.
Thank you,
Bernadette
Bernadette, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Dear Louis,
I am sincerely hoping that the Cropped Cardigan has been deemed the bit hit that I think it is.
Please bring it back in more colors.
BIG hit not bit hit.
I got a “double shot” of the Port. Do NOT want to be without it. No way…
Finally — my black leather jacket arrived after being stuck in Illinois for days. It’s wonderful, and feels so rich. And I was very pleased to see that QVC is shipping your clothing in a box, wrapped in tissue and on a hanger. That’s what your clothes deserve Louis, not a cheap plastic bag where the clothes tumble around. Love your line and I proudly tell friends about my personal designer, Louis! Can’t wait for the new trench and 3/4 cardigans next. I have one dilemma — I like to keep all my Linea jewelry together, and right now, store them in the net bags they arrive in. Can you design a good jewelry box or cloth container that we can travel with?
Carol
Good Afternoon Louis
My purchases are finally arriving. I love the feel of my wn mocks, midi and cropped cardigan(hcg and black) so far.
I am wondering from you and your fan club what is the best laundering process /detergent to use to maintain that fabulous feel.
Thanks for the post yesterday- I’m thinking of getting the hcg tn to go with my skirt and then that red looks so fabulous. I was wondering what the weight difference is between the round neck with slits tunic and the swing turtleneck.
I am a turtleneck kinda gal, but living in the south I’m wondering if more practical to get the tunic with slits?
Appreciate your time
regards
Sarah
ps I love the port mock, thanks for your advice on that
Hi,
I’ve only owned one leather item of clothing in my life and that was a jacket 40+ years ago! I think it is time to add the leather coat to my wardrobe, but I keep trying to decide which color to choose. Black seems the most logical for my only leather item, but oh, that dark forest green is speaking to me! Of course, I love the navy and the red , too. I can only choose one, however, since the black trench is also on my list. My wardrobe is mostly a column of color with black, navy, or grey or…. black, navy, or grey bottoms with the jewel tone colors on top.
Decisions, decisions!
Dear Chris, if you wear black, navy or grey bottoms 95% of the time you can wear any color leather jacket with it. The navy and the green, color wise, will be the most versatile because you can wear almost any color under them with your bottoms. That’s if you aren’t sure about black.
I must rave about your caramel color! I was surprised when I opened the bag containing the TN, I knew it wasn’t going to be camel (which I also love for fall/winter) but I had no idea how striking, sophisticated and rich caramel would be. A little apprensive that it wouldn’t complement my ‘platinum’ grey hair and fair, slightly greenish skin tone but it looks so good! So, definitely getting the trench in caramel even though I told myself that my olive/black Linea trench would continue to do me good service. Thank you for introducing such a great color.
I too love the way this color came out…..you can be sure I will use it again. I think with white it will make a great summer color.
Good morning Louis, I m so glad that the turtleneck swing sweater is back this season. My question is what thickness is this one ? I have been collecting these from the get go but the newer are really thin in weight and more spandex whereas the older are really thick perfect for winter. I just received the dark green turtleneck and that is lighter weight too. I probably should assume that they all will be lighter weight in the future. I purchased three lamb leather jackets and I love them but the new sizing of the sleeves are different that last season but that Magenta color is georgeous. Now I need that red leather jacket and a trench but then I need someplace to go other than the doctors office and grocery store to show off my new coats and jackets. I saw a pink blazer on my soap opera and I thought Louis you could make one just like that. Good Job This Season!
Dear Sharon. The TN has always been that weight. It is lighter because it is in the jersey stitch. I have been using the med ENR weight because it works best for women all over the country, whereas I was getting some push back on the original heavier weight. The original ballet neck swing sweater is still in the heavier weight. That’s not to say I won’t use it again, but I have to be careful which styles. The WK dresses are all in the med. weight, and there were some complaints that they were heavy?????!!!!!
Thank you for answering my question it so good to know for future ordering. I also ordered the midi skirt and that’s on the lighter side but looks very nice. Will there be new items on the next show?
Your whisper knit dresses are perfect in whatever wt you used. They hang so well on the body and make me feel fabulous. I get compliments every single time I wear one. And I’ve worn the v neck dresses a lot this summer and never felt overly warm. Granted, not on 90 degree days, but they are just fine for most days. I like all of your whisper knit items … my closet is jam full of Linea and waiting for the new items coming out in the next couple of weeks.
Thank you for all you do.
My husband bought me A297864 the leather jacket for my birthday. Can I hang it up?
Yes, absolutely. I have some of my samples hanging for years! Just use a good hanger! No wire hangers please!!
Louis,
Not a question, but a FYI. I ordered two A295878 in large, iris and dark copper. The iris measured 43.5 in the chest and the dark copper 44 in in the chest. I measured carefully, several times using a plastic measuring tape. The large should measure 40.5 in the chest. To me, these may be mislabeled. Also this week, I received my order for A302563 WK with pockets. I ordered two XL, one navy and one linen. The linen measured what the XL should, but the navy measured what the L should be. I’m working these orders out with QVC, but thought I should bring this to your attention. Not knowing the labeling process, I wouldn’t know if I was the lucky one to receive a mislabeled one, or there could be more out there and how extensive the problem may be.
Lynn…it’s a mystery to you….it’s a mystery to me. From making clothes and seeing factories work there are so many variables. A garment can come out a size larger or smaller just from pressing, so it doesn’t surprise me when sizes vary. I believe it is more about how the clothes are handled by individual operators then miss labeling, but as i said it’s all a mystery, because there is no way to really find out what happened.
I can’t leave a review on the new one as I already own the alabaster from the previous order. The fit is the same as same, but the sleeves are a thicker knit. Just an observation. I’d say the caramel is better for cold weather. I couldn’t be happier with the jacket. The leather is so well done with perfect stitching, too.i
So, you don’t really know how many wanted to leave a review as once purchased, I’m shut out.
Hi Louis
I notice you have begun to show your new straight leg ponte pants that are not boot cut. What colors will they come in besides black.
Also when will the faux suede pants be offered?
We Linea Ladies are excited about your two hour October 3 appearance. There are swoons on the QVC Forums about the new trench coat.
Dear Joanne, the pant will be in black, Heather charcoal grey and scarlet red. Don’t know when the sued will be avail. I’m thinking Oct 3rd
Hi Louis! Just a fun question, What was your favorite decade for fashion? I have been watching TCM and they had some shows from the 60’s, the shift dresses were so cool.
I would have to say the 20s and 30’s. They really went all out. The movie stars never looked quite as glamorous in any other decades. I would then say the late 60’s. I loved the mix of the 60’s….Mod and Bohemian Flower children. My date wore a silver mylar mini dress to the senior prom, and we are still best friends.
Oh yes, those 20-30 were as elegant as can be. I have some awesome photos of my grandmother in her flapper clothes. She came from a fairly well to do family and was quite the fashionista of her time. She had some monkey fur earrings of all things. And the starlets in their ostrich plume bedecked nightgowns It was definitely grand.
What date/time is trench coat being sold? Can I lengthen the sleeves
don’t have that information yet
Hi Louis,
My question also got lost in the archives. The sleeves on the big deal can they be shortened, turned back or by chance does it come in petites?
Hi Louis,
I left a message earlier but it doesn’t show up anymore as the older messages got archived. So I am typing up the gist of it again so that I can see if you reply.
I am just back from Italy and most of the store displays had caramel and green pairings which looked stunning. I saw a lot of leather coats too. There was a lot of red too. Every single piece reminded me of one of your pieces that are already out of yet to come this fall. So I resisted my temptation from buying any of those expensive pieces as I know your pieces are going to surpass these and will be more affordable. Thank you for the amazing designs which keep us up to date with the trends and also classic at the same time.
I am swooning over the red leather topper and the trench. I have a red leather jacket so I
Am not sure if I should get the topper or the trench in red. Which do you think is the classier option? However I will definitely get one of the colors on the topper and one trench. Just not sure which one.
Also, I am 5’ 3” and don’t wear high Heels (only a 1” heel at the most). Will the petite trench work on me?
Thanks
Pratt from California Bay Area
Ah I forgot to mention that I also saw a lot of jewelry with cords. Almost every store had one with cords and nothing compared to how substantial, bold and beautiful as the one you recently made, and that too for a fraction of the cost.
SO EXCITED ABOUT ALL THE NEW ON TODAY’S BLOG
THANK YOU FOR THE SNEEK PEAKS
THE SCARLET RED LEATHER JACKET
WOULD IT GO WITH WK TANK AND SKIRT I GOT PREVIOUSLY IN THAT COLOR ALSO CALLED SCARLET RED ALL COLORS ARE SUPERB
THANK YOU
Hi Louis!
I’m thinking of mixing the caramel & scarlet red with leopard print. Looking at your samples do you think it would be a yeah or nay? I trust your eye and advice.
Thanks for all you do!
Dawn
