Hello,
I received the gorgeous black leather jacket…my first item of leather clothing in 40+ years! Even though it was packed beautifully,
it still has a few gentle wrinkles on the front and creasing down the outside length of the sleeves. I’ve had it hanging in the bathroom for a few days hoping the steam would take care of it, but it didn’t. I even stuffed the sleeves with tissue paper. I need a few words of advice on how to care for this beauty so I don’t ruin it.
Thank you!
I am the Marilyn who started this post who ordered before presentation and it’s still going between processing and back order. This has happened before and obviously to many others. Yes you may use my name and I too wish we could order somewhere else.
I was caring for my new trenches this afternoon by steaming a few wrinkles and putting them on the correct hanger before hanging them in their new home (my coat closet). As I buttoned them I could see all of the detail. I loved the buttons – it’s beautiful to see how they were stitched including a reinforcement button. They are beautiful. Thank you Mr LDO!
Are you going to continue the leisure knit pants? Many colors are gone. These are the best leisure pants. I can wear these to yoga and then to the store and feel appropriately dressed.
I believe they have been reordered for early next year
Louis – Not sure how to leave my name for the QVC buyer for Linea, but I have left it above as I have had trouble receiving your Linea items from QVC. AND – to add insult to injury, even if I got the wrong item and could exchange it, they don’t buy enough and they are always sold out in my size. I lost out on the trenchcoat as I received pants instead (not even my size) and of course there were none left in my size, which is why I ordered the second I saw it on the air. They don’t buy enough in my size (xs in tops and sweaters, 8 in pants) so if you ever get the wrong color or size or item, you have no prayer of getting your size and color as they are gone. If there were any way to buy your line outside of QVC, I would do it.
ATTN: Tylerpoo
I will be returning a size 12 mushroom and a size 12 black pant (Regular). I noticed your post that stated you did not receive yours. Let me know if you want either one (never opened due to receiving doubles) and I’d be happy to send it to you.
Jean
Thanks jeancp, please contact me at fluff26@outlook.com I want the 12 mushroom.
Hi jeancp, do u by chance have the blazer in black 12. I have the mushroom blazer and the black pant. Trying to complete a suit.
Tylerpoo,
I’ll reply by email shortly.
Will the QVC2 Big Deal (leather jacket) be brought back? Unfortunately I was out of town and NOT QVC in Cape Cod Hotel! All plus sizes gone when I got back to civilization!
More Caramel please, ponte pants, skirts, and tops!
Yes, what Tylerpoo said!!!! Love the Caramel color!
Hi Louis, forgive me if this posts twice, I got an error message when I entered the captcha code. I just purchased your crepe gauze top w/embroidery (a341734) in dark teal and wondered if it goes with the moss crepe pull on skirt (now on clearance, unfortunately for those of us who love it and hoped for more colors!) in dark teal? I will keep it either way, as I love any and all things teal, but wanted your opinion. Also purchased the teal Carnival necklace (my third color), thanks to 6 easy payments! I would love to one day own ALL of the carnival necklaces, they’re so versatile and easy to wear.
Hi Louis!
I just posted a short comment on your homepage under the “List” and it disappeared.
I called corporate after the blazer/pant episode. Thought they would never come through because of the hurricane. After reading that some of the ladies finally got their items I called CS. After weeks of bouncing back and forth from in process to back order I finally called corporate. The woman I spoke with was very helpful and I finally received my items.
Here is her info:
Julie ( sorry no last name)
1-800-296-2931 Extension: 8948
Dawn
Dawn, I guess I was too late in calling Corporate, I still want my mushroom size 12 pants! So glad you got yours. Maybe next year.
Tylerpoo,
I put this info for people who don’t want to deal with CS regarding other issues with orders. She was very familiar with the Linea brand and its popularity with the Linea followers.
Dawn
Hi Louis
Will you be doing a slim leg or boot cut ponte pant in the caramel color?
Thank you
Don’t know….does everyone want a caramel ponte pant?
Yes please!!!
I have the faux suede pants, but would love a caramel ponte pant in petite also. I would also love a whisper knit midi skirt A297627 in caramel and a whisper knit straight bottom sweater. love your caramel. thank you.
YES PLEASE!!!!
Yes yes yes to caramel Ponte pants!
YES! Please!
Seka.
Yes, yes, yes!!!😁😁😁
Yes, please. Slim leg.
Oh yes, please in Petite sizing.
Yes.. Yes.. That would be wonderful. Would it be with your Spring or Summer clothing line?
Since everything is anonymous????? I don’t know what this is referring to??
Hi Louis!
Definitely more caramel in ponte. I like the slim leg. A whisper knit skirt in the lengths you did this past season too!
What are the chances of bringing back A341741 next year? There are 31 5 star reviews out of 34 ( avg. 4.7 stars). Love to see these pants in a caramel or green to compliment the DFG. Really like this pant!
And can I request some nice button front blouses in easy care fabrics for next season.
Thanks for all you do!
Dawn
Louis,
I would love a ponte caramel pant….preferably in the slim leg, but would also take the boot cut.
Thanks for everything you do for us.
Yes please a caramel ponte knit pant and a 30″ Vest would be fabulous!
Yes!
Hmmmm,Hopefully the LIST won’t offend and backfire. Of course easy for me to say…my Linea has been fine on their end. Lots of luck ladies.
I’m looking for a Big Deal leather jacket in navy, size 12. Is anyone sending one back? Please email me at gsr1@gmx.com. Thanks!
Grace, My Navy jacket in size 12 also went to Back order. It was an add-on but ordered when it was still in stock and I cancelled. Don’t have the time or patience for this!!!
Hi Louis,
I just posted the following on the QVC Forum under “Favorite Brand” “Linea by Louis Dell’Olio”
“A List of People Whose Linea Orders have Been Mishandled
Lately, many people have had their orders mishandled in a variety of ways. It has been suggested that if all these problems were listed in one place, QVC could see the magnitude of the problem and rectify it.
So, please describe your problem in a post here.”
The hope is that people will notice it and list their problems all in one place on the QVC Forum.
Hi Louis,
I just posted the following on the QVC Forum under Customer Care:
“A List of People Whose Orders have Been Mishandled
Lately, many people have had their orders mishandled in a variety of ways. It has been suggested that if all these problems were listed in one place, QVC could see the magnitude of the problem and rectify it.
So, please describe your problem in a post here.”
I hope people will notice it and list their problems all in one place according to your suggestion which is a very good one.
Ruth, I think more people would see this if it was listed in the QVC forum under Linea, thats where everything about Linea is posted.
I thought we were talking about mishandling of Linea items, if not then every mishandled orders!!! I think Louis is just referring to his Linea orders only.
Hi Tylerpoo,
I took your suggestion and moved the post to the Linea area. Sometimes it takes a village…
Thanks,
Ruth
Luckily, I haven’t had a problem with my Linea orders but have had a problem with another QVC brand (Lisa Rinna). I ordered a large and was sent 2X. The invoice had the correct size, but the packing bag and the top had 2X on them. Is there a problem in the warehouse??
Dear Louis,
Please feel free to delete my first attempt on the idea of “The List”.
Cheers,
Ruth
Ordered the long red leather jacket in size 18 and Qvc sent me a green jacket in size 10, When I called to complain, was told they are all sold out and they were sorry. So disappointed with QVC but love Louis.
I, too, have problems with my leather coat delivery. I ordered October 11th and the item is still in process as of today, October 19. Yes, I contacted customer service both by telephone and email and I received an email response saying “we acknowledge the delay in the shipping department”. Last week I received an order that was not even mine. This does not leave a lot of confidence with me looking forward to holiday orders. In the scheme of things in life, this is a small matter for me. I’ll order Linea no matter what. But, it should be a big deal with senior management at the Q. Not everyone is as loyal to Q vendors as the Linea ladies.
Fyi several trench coats(petite and regular), suede pants(petite and regular), swing turtlenecks, carnival necklaces, newest blazer and pants and short leather jackets have popped back in inventory.
Happy Shopping and good luck!!!
Sarah
Thanks Sarah, I was able to snag a port blazer and black faux suede pants
That is excellent news- I received my port blazer today after much stalking.
I love the suede pants and am looking forward to wearing them once it cools off here.
Still 86F here today, but they say the cool weather is coming- so now I’ll be prepared with my new Linea goodies.
Sarah
ps if anyone knows the person who post reviews as
‘One of the lunch ladies’ please let her know the blue faceted bead necklace is available
I just got he faux suede pants in black. I love them. It seems they are sold out in forest green and cognac> Will you have them when you are on next in November. I love the two tops I just got withe same order. How about a velvet pant that’s pull on like the suede pants. Btw, my late husband got me an Ann Klein car coat in either Saks or Lord and Taylor 40 years ago with your name on the label. I recently gave it to St. Vincent d Paul. I loved that car coat. You really understand what women want and make clothes that fit!!!
Dear Anita…..the quantity on the suede pant is minimal so they won’t be sold on any show.
Once again the Q strikes. I placed my order for the big deal lather jacket on 10/10 prior to the presentation. The order was confirmed and now, amazingly has gone to back order and I’m being told that they didn’t order enough inventory and my order couldn’t be filled. How on earth do they justify this line of nonsense. If you order before the item is on the air how do you not receive one and people who order later do. Just out of curiosity, how many people have had this happen on this item? They are intimating that thousands of people had this happen because they took too many advanced orders. Sounds like hogwash to me!
Marilyn, this has happened to me so many times, if u order before the show, how can your order go to backorder when others order during the show? Should be some kind of system where those who order first get their items before the later orders. All they tell you is they are sorry and there is no waitlist. The warehouse processing system should be investigated!!!!
Louis, can u do something about this, talk to TPTB!
Dear Tylerpoo, I have talked to them many many times. I think it’s crazy too!
Marilyn, my navy jacket has been “in process” since 10/10, also ordered prior to the show. Now that I see your message, I’m dreading I’ll get the same notice from QVC. (And, I already purchased matching navy leather gloves!) I don’t understand why early orders from customers who stay up past midnight to be first in the queue are somehow not prioritized by when they placed orders. Makes no sense whatsoever. Very frustrating and their explanation sounds like hogwash to me, too!
Marilyn, today I got the dreaded “backorder” message for my navy leather jacket ordered on 10/10..You are not alone.
Louis,
Are the hematite earrings in the exotics set the same as gunmetal?
Thanks!
Yes, I don’t know why they switched names. The whole point of these earrings is they will match all Linea metal colors, so you will always have a matching eating.
Louis, thank you so much for the video on Facebook on how to tie the trench belt. Thank you thank you. I was one of the requesters 🙂 I am still waiting for my trench coats.. can’t wait to wear them.
The hoop earrings in both classic and exotic colors are up online. Bought the exotics. I like that they are not circular and not too big.
FYI – The set of 4 Hoop Earrings is Posted on Q!

I’m bummed. I received my navy and port big deal jackets and they are way too big. I ordered a 16 and should have ordered a 12. I measured the shorter version you did a few years ago and checking the on line measurements thought the 16 would work. I asked customer service if I could be added to the waitlist, but they said it was closed. They also said I would have to pay the return shipping if the replacement is unavailable. So much for free returns. The jacket is gorgeous and kudos to those that got the correct size.
Sharon, I feel your pain. I think there will be returns, so keep checking multiple times per day and you might snag one. What’s your name on the Q Forum, if I see a Size 12, I’ll do a Call Out Thread to you. What color?
I don’t post on the forum, but check it occasionally. U can call out to “datascl” if you come across a navy or port in a 12. Thanks
Louis,
Is there going to be a matching bracelet for J358185 and J358187 the fireball torsade and station necklaces?
Thank you!
Dear Chris. There was a bracelet, but it was not ordered. If they do well we will try to bring it in next year.
Looking for a Size 12 Red Big Deal. Does anyone have one they are sending back? sheesh49@comcast.net
Sent you an email!
Sheesh,
If you are returning a red BD in size 14, I’d be interested. My 16 is too big 🙁
Thanks,
Jean
Oh, darn! I just saw this and I sent back the Red 14 today! ARRGH!
That’s OK……I’m sure it will find another good home!!
Hi Louis,
Your J387783 Crystal & Pave Tassel Necklace has been posted. The description says Necklace 32″L Tassel 4″L. Would you happen to know of that is 32″ long overall or 32″ + 4″ to make it 36″ long overall?
It’s a gorgeous necklace!
Ruth
Good question Ruth…I’ll check. It usually is the entire necklace or they would say plus 4 inches for the tassel, but I’ll ask to make sure.
Louis, your art nouveau pendant, tassel necklace, crystal & sim pearl bracelet, and sim pearl necklace & earring set J387825 have posted. I ordered the art nouveau pendant and pearl bracelet. but my problem is, I do not know which of the 4 sim pearl necklaces to order as I have not seen the sweater they go with. any ideas?????
I’ll post soon even though the sweater won’t be aired until Nov. it’s a WK ENR sweater with a straight bottom and side slits. Ballet neckline. It has long sleeves with a flair bottom similar to the emb. sleeve sweater in width….not too much. The sleeve has two different size pearls on the sleeve that start at the bottom and go approx 8 inches up from there. The sweaters match the new necklaces and stud earring set. The necklace has stationed pearls and faceted glass beads that have an AB finish on each color glass bead….very romantic. So the Nude pink has nude pink pearls to match the nude pink sweater and pink Glass beads with an AB tint. The photo is terrible on QVC. You will have to trust me that they are beautiful, and not dinky as the photos look.
Oh, Louis, the description of the Pearl Embellished Sweater brings to mind your pearl embellished twin set you did back around 2006 or so. I’m afraid I am going to have to pass on this new sweater as the sleeves will be too long–couldn’t get the Embroidered Sweater either—darn, I got lousy DNA when it came to arm length!
Louis,
Your beautiful black crystal and pearl bracelet is up on QVC and I’m ready to order but I’m concerned about the sizing. The description says it’s a stretch bracelet and it fits an average to large wrist. I have not been able to keep your other bracelets as they fall off or twist on my thin wrist (size 6 3/4”). Can you give me some insight about the fit? I usually can wear a stretch bracket without any problem so I’m leaning towards ordering. It’s really a lovely bracelet and I’d like to have it to match the necklace. Thanks!
Mary, if you have worn my stretch bracelets before than there shouldn’t be a problem. It may turn on your slender wrist, but it shouldn’t fall off. It wasn’t meant to fit tight.
Good morning, Louis, My Big Deal leather jackets arrived yesterday – earlier than expected. They were nicely packed in heavy cartons with an appropriate amount of tissue to protect them. Kudos to QVC this time around for showing the proper respect for your lovely garments.
I purchased the black, DFG and red. I didn’t get the red trench (thought it would be too much for me in my 2x size), but the leather jacket in the scarlet red is just perfect. I was trying it on and looking in my closet mirror and spotted your A267878, the lightweight quilted jacket, also in scarlet red, hanging in my closet . Tried them on together – perfection! This matching added layer will enable me to wear the jacket in colder weather here in NYC. I also have the A72448 turtleneck and classic jewel neck sweater in scarlet – so I am really set.
The black and DFG are equally beautiful. Perfect fit – excellent jacket and sleeve length, so soft leather. Thank you Louis for your lovely creations!
Dear Jane….that was a great idea. The quilted jacket is certainly light enough to wear under the leather, and with the additional layer of a WK sweater you are really set! A scarf and gloves should be able to take you though most of the winter. That red quilted jacket will look great under the Black and DFG! For anyone who owns this jacket in any of the colors you too should try layering it under your Big Deal jackets as Jane has suggested. I believe it came in black, navy, alabaster and the red……all good layering colors!
What a great idea! I have that Quilted WK jacket in the Red and the Black and also the Big Deal in the Red and the Black–now I’m good and stylish for any Nor’easter headed my way this winter! Thanks.
Louis, honey!
I LOVE my red trench coat!
I would love for you post your designer drawings much more often! They are a great source of styling ideas and they make your blog pages look so fresh and cool! I love seeing them! Your blog is beautiful and full of great info! Thanks so much!
Anne
Dear Anne….I will certainly do that. Honestly, I never think to post my sketches!
Hi Louis
I will be traveling the first part of November, so I’m trying to make some plans for purchasing a couple of the sneak peeks.
I was wondering if you have any idea on the time frame for the
straight ponte pants and the set of clip earrings?
Thanks for your assistance
Sarah
Sorry Sarah, it’s as big a question for me as you!
Louis, Thought you would get a kick out of this. Yesterday to church, I wore my dark teal moss crepe top with matching moss crepe dark teal skirt. I was in a hurry and it was 34 degrees out so I grabbed a pair of my beloved Linea knee stockings and pulled them on. They happened to be the black lace version and threw over the whole outfit (which also included the beautiful teal carnival necklace), a long black alpaca cape, and black pumps. We meet across the border in Edmundston, Canada and there are a lot of lovely French women in the congregation. As I was leaving after the services, some of my French friends were buzzing together about something. One of them stepped forward and told me that they all LOVED my black lace hose and could I tell them where to get them. I did so. When I explained that they were knee high hose, the group of them heard this and ooohed and ahhhed. One of them told me that when she dies she wants to have this kind of hose on when buried, but in white. I had purchased doubles of every color when they came out. Next week I’m taking one of my pairs of Linea lace Ivory hose to church wrapped and beribboned as a gift to my friend to put with her burial clothing – for when that day comes – hopefully not for many years! 🙂
Here’s another lighthearted Linea tale. One Sunday I was again getting ready for church in a hurry. It was a gloomy day with rain. I grabbed my forest green whisper knit elbow sleeve dress and tossed it on. Whisper Knit is so wonderful to toss on and run. All accessorized in Linea, I tossed on the Aqua Mist swing topper jacket leaving it unbuttoned to show off my lovely accessories and dashed out the door. I play the organ so have to be at church a little early. When I arrived, I was making my way to my spot at the organ when another lovely French woman approached me, and giving me the double cheek kiss, she quietly said in my ear “Your dress is on inside out.” My first thought is that this was preposterous. Seeing my disbelief she surreptitiously grabbed that very big white care label which is on the INSIDE of the dress, but this morning was definitely on the OUTSIDE of the dress to show me for proof! Mortified my mind raced through my options. It was time to begin playing the music so she pointed out that no one would see if I just kept my beautiful crepe gauze topper pulled down over the white label which thankfully, since my dress was indeed inside out, was now on my right leg. The side NOT seen by the congregation. Just before Church began I signaled to my husband that I had something to tell him and to come to the organ. Still playing, I quietly told him my dress was on inside out. In all my life this has NEVER happened to me and we both thought it was so funny it was hard to suppress giggles even when church formally began. Afterwards, with my topper pulled long on the right side, I sailed out of church and no one was the wiser. How wonderful is whisper knit??? If it were not for white care labels, you can even get away with wearing it inside out!!!!
Thanks for all of the beauty 😊
Nancy,
Your first story made me smile as I can imagine how happy “the french woman” will be when presented with the lace stockings. Your second story gave me a good laugh as I imagined you resplendent in your inside out Linea dress playing the organ.
Thanks for sharing,
Donna
Thanks Donna 🙂 Just sharing the Linea enjoyment!
Dear Nancy,
I love your stories! You are a wonderful story teller. Thank you for sharing and making me smile!
Thanks Nancy! 🙂
Louis the faux suede pants are fabulous I ordered the black and am on waitlist for the green. The WK dark purple cardigan is also beautiful I think this is my fifth so unfortunately I can’t review this, now I ordered your cluster bead necklace within five minutes of the presentation and my order is on backordered…what an overwhelming response to that beauty and I’m sure not many were brought but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I get mine. I can’t wait to receive my port leather that finally shipped. I must add you had me cracking up about dry cleaning leather label which I too do not know anybody that has taken their leathers to have cleaned and I have some old but still beautiful leather jackets but I guess all clothing must have a care label. Stay well!
WOW WOW AND WOW AGAIN
All the purchases, all five trench coats, suede and multiple sequined pants, ultimately
Everything was received in terrific condition and all epalautes in place. Leather toppers as well. I’m am 76 and your clothes are as timeless as me. Lol. From day one and the tank dress with topper from Atlantis to present day Philly YOU ARE THE BEST.
WE ALL THANK YOU AND APPRECIATE YOU.
Thanks so much Lc Jazz!
Louis,
I told you I would check my trench for the epaulettes when I got home from my trip. I’m home now and both epaulettes are where they belong, thank goodness!
I am so excited to come home and find the weather here so cool. We came from 90 degree days to 43 degrees in CT tonight. Looks like I may be able to start wearing some of the lovely things I recently received…esp the trench, the suede pants, the Big Deal jacket, the smokey iris tunic (love that color) and the black blazer.
Thanks for all you do. Have a good week-end.
Mary…trhe fireplace was on last night so for sure you can wear everything you received….not all at once of course…LOL
Thank you, Louis. I received my goodies from the recent shows. The sequin pants are absolutely gorgeous. The caramel faux suede pants and matching long sweater are fabulous, wish I had ordered all the colors in the pant. I will be stalking for returns. The shadow print blouse is beautiful, I chose the blue. Semi miracle, I finally received my black blazer, it is perfection. I don’t think there is much chance of ever receiving the matching pant(QVC cancelled my backorder) and although I really wanted a suit , there is no way I am returning that jacket, the fit is amazing. The sequin pant and faux suede pant are helping to ease the disapointment of not having the suit pants. Hoping for a reorder next year.
Love and hugs, Linda
Dear Louis,
The sellouts speak for themselves. Everything I have received is stunning and chic, Every fall- The aubergine, navy, olive, taupe, black of course) —the caramels are over the moon- the deep forest green- all the different textures. no one can dress more beautifully on a daily basis and make it look so casual and elegant. People often recognize I’ve been wearing some of the same clothing for years, yet somehow beating the latest trend and looking classic at the same time. “It’s so YOU,” My niece asked me “How do you do that?” I never worry that I won’t have something to wear that makes me feel fantastic. Thank you, Louis!
I ordered more from the Oct. 3 group than from any other show you’ve ever done, and not only did QVC ship all the correct items, every single thing I ordered is a gold-plated winner. The faux suede, the sequins, the trench, the long cardigan–all of these are things that would be impossible to find anywhere else. And forget about finding any garments in a dept. store that match the quality of Linea for even twice the price. I love that I can put together a 10 piece travel collection for anywhere I want to go, all color coordinated, packable and super stylish, in literally a matter of minutes. There is never an occasion that comes up for which there isn’t the perfect Linea solution hanging in my closet. I didn’t start buying Linea until I was over 50, but honestly, we are the “forgotten” women in fashion. Wearing your clothes, I know I’ll be remembered. As you always say, Who doesn’t want to look like that?
Carol, perfectly expressed and absolutely true! Thank you for summing up our feelings so wonderfully.
Carol…I get every fashion mag made in the USA, and I’m wondering why I still bother?! The clothes used to be wonderful and RELEVANT! I honestly wonder who wears these clothes, and who CAN wear them. They are so overwhelming on the models that I think anyone over 25 and under 5’8″ would look like a fool……besides the fact that most are just plain ugly! No wonder the stores are hurting and there business is mostly accessories, perfume, makeup, bags and shoes. Of course you don’t always see what is photographed in stores….only the “A” stores because they have too.
Hello genius…I mean.. Louis!
I see that you are getting questions about the gloves, but I am angling for the wide belt you dressed Kate in last night. Please tell me that there might be hope for me to get it. I would love it in something that would work with your gorgeous caramel color.
Dear Shay….if you are talking about the green belt…..that was Jac’s. It’s a sueded Lizard, and was from my Anne Klein Days
Good morning,Louis,
The green one is the one to which I was referring. It makes sense that it was Jac’s, a beautiful piece for a beautiful woman. I will keep searching; it would be fabulous if you could do belts for QVC.They don’t have many in inventory.
Louis, I am loving my caramel knit faux suede pants, and as they sold out so quickly I am hoping that bodes well for another batch next fall in some new colors, especially an olive. What I’d really like to see in this yummy fabric, though, is a 3 button blazer. I can’t think of anything more comfy and divine for fall than a classic blazer in this fabric, and I’d love it in a shade of caramel, olive, or camel. I’m sure there are other women who would go for this as well. Talk about easy stylish dressing! Just a flea in your ear. I’m wearing those pants with the posh knit black T neck & caramel English knit cardigan tonight for a Friday night fish fry with friends, a Buffalo tradition. Too bad those pants are gone, because I know my girlfriend will want some, too.
April hopefully there will be few returns and they will be considered for reorders next year. If returns go above a certain %, they do not get reordered under any conditions. QVC rules, not mine. It costs them a lot of money to take in, reprocess, and repack [even if the packing is less than desirable], and reship returns. This goes for every product QVC sells. Same rules for all.
HI Louis AS you have heard before your sequin pants are fabulous,i bought two sizes as i’m between ,however they are not that much of a difference so decided to keep both . I am patiently waiting for your set of hoop earrings ,doyou know when I am getting close to seeing them?
Judy I really don’t. When items are sold on line only they do not get priority as far as processing, photographing and posting. So even though they could be sitting in the warehouse i basically know when you know and sometimes you know before me. I know for sure they are shipping to QVC next week. After that they are in LALA LAND!
Thanks Louis I will keep an eye out. Big Hugs
Hi Louis,
I may be attending a Gatsby themed party for the holidays. What could I wear from your collection that would fall in line with the theme both in attire and jewelry?
Thank you in advance for any input!
Well Bernadette…..did you get the sequin pant? If so the rest is easy!!! If not we can conjure up something fabulous for sure! There is a slew of jewelry items like the new Torsade in the Jet and Fireballs worn with the new Tuxedo necklace and earring set in the jet and crystals fireballs…..and the new Black Jet tassel necklace……fabulous together. The velvet and moss crepe dress in black with the jewelry can look very Gatsby. When you say the Holidays I’m thinking Christmas…..is that correct? The new Tuxedo jacket would be perfect. There is a new sweater coming in Nov. with a flare sleeve and Pearls scattered all over the bottom, plus a long pearl and crystal necklace to match……lots and lots of things. That’s just a start. Gatsby is very Art Deco meaning black and and white or ivory…..long necklaces and earrings….I’ve got you covered
Hi Louis,
I have had long days at work and missed several items like the pants. The dress in petite is sold out in black in my size. The sweater and all of your jewelry is peaking my interest. Christmas is correct however, here in hot hot Houston it could be 85 at Christmas or it could be 30. I do have quite a few boho skirts if they would work with the sweater..???
PS… I did get the new pearl necklace. I’m soo excited. I knew you would have fabulous ideas.!!!
The sleeveless dress with cascade reminds me of that era too (A302556 & A302551). Maybe with a lacy bolero or shrug style top or a lacy or metallic or sequined long scarf/wrap or a boa?
Dear Louis, Thanks for the information on the gloves. I ordered two pair from Fratelli Orsini one in Cordovan a perfect port color the other cognac both very nice. A red pair from Nappaglo which was about half the price but just as nice if not better with three small button trim.
Your fall collection has been just beautiful. I purchased the short carmel color jacket with matching turtleneck, dfg turtleneck and open front cardigan, faux suede pants carmel and dfg, red trench and sequenced pants. From the last show the black suit and blouse with print in rose. Everything is just beautiful. Thank you so much!
WOW Kathy….that’s some haul!
Dear Louis,
With the scarlet leather/knit coat, did you show it with a pair of matching leather gloves? I did see Maria with a pair of black gloves on the 2nd show but I’m not sure if you styled it with a matching red pair for your 1st show. If you used red gloves, can you tell me the manufacturer & where they were purchased? Thank you.
Regards,
Chris
Dear Chris….I did use red gloves….You won’t believe where I got them!!!! It was a long time ago and I needed gloves for the show so Jac recommended Burlington Wear House! I had never been in that store, and Jac went there once looking for travel slippers which she found. So off we went, and don’t you know…..RED GLOVES. so I bought 2 pair. They are actually a little darker than my red but work well. I’m sure you can find red gloves in the stores. Red seems to be a strong color this year, and if not ebay or Amazon will surely have them.
Thanks for your response in both parts of the blog. I may have to bring the coat(wear it) & trek to a few stores here. Burlington Coat Factory is still here as is Century 21 (Not the real estate company). Neiman Marcus might have red gloves as will I’m sure Bloomingdale’s (not necessarily the brand you mentioned.
Chris, I bought red leather gloves on amazon a gear years ago. The same ones aren’t available anymore but I am sure you ll find several options. They are cashmere lined and are in good condition even today.
Nordstrom’s has lambskin leather gloves lined in silk in caramel, red, dark forest green, black and navy for $79.00. Amazon has both of the manufactures Louis recommended and are lined in cashmere.
I bought the Nappaglo brand on Amazon in red lined in cashmere for $27.99 and they are very nice.
Santa arrived early this year … when I opened my door I found that he had left a petite (thank you NOTHING needs to be altered) black trench, red trench, a faux suede petite (thank you again) pant, green sweater and I will end there … THANK YOU as your clothes add a dimension to my life that I have tried and tried to achieve but could not – until now. I am loving and appreciating every moment of it. Also the sequin pants are perfect in every way. I can wear them with a t-shirt or your tux jacket that I am awaiting. Blessings to you too.
Carolyn you are so welcome…..I love it when my Ladies are happy!
Hi Louis,
Congratulations on the big deal. It was very well received. I was worried that I might have difficulty getting the jackets shipped to California, so I made arrangements with a friend in another state – just in case. I received my black and caramel faux suede pants today and I love them! They fit so well. This fit is perfect for my less than perfect body. I’m 5’6 ish and ordered the petite and they hit right at the ankle bone – just what I wanted. What fun to have another texture pant to wear. I second the idea for a vest from the same fabric. I think a shirt jacket in this fabric or real suede would be fabulous as well. You really hit these out of the park!

Having shopped my closet I was thrilled to find how well A227575 – the mushroom pleated skirt I purchased in 2012 – goes with my new blazer I also purchased the black in the pleated skirt and of course that goes beautifully with the new black blazer. Then there is some play between the new cluster of caramel pieces and some of my cluster of nutmeg pieces I bought in 2014. The midi skirt in the nutmeg, the black, and the petrol blue offer all kinds of fun options. A257384 is the midi. I’m enjoying the sleeveless mock neck tunic in the black, grey and port. I love the navy also but already have a lot of your fabulous navy pieces of old. Though a new Linea navy midi in WK would be very welcome.! Thanks for all of the lovelies. 2 trenches, 1 short leather (the last wine available) jacket, and waiting for the port big deal leather coat. Thought I better get what leather I could in cae you are not able to bring them to us any longer due to issues in China. Since the nights up here at the Canadian border are already below freezing, my cluster of dark teal, of merlot and all the wines, items in dark forest green and the dark heather charcoal grey will get a good workout this winter. I also really enjoy your and Jennifer’s posts and videos at Facebook. Thank you for that!
Thanks Nancy for shopping your closet! I need to do the same. I remember I had the mushroom pleated skirt and matching top. Took it and many other oldies out of my extra closet. What was old is very new again when it comes to Linea!
Louis
I’m a clip gal- very excited about the set of four.
Thanks for keeping gals like me in mind.
Your holiday jewelry looks like another runaway winner group.
Of course you keep taunting me with the straight ponte pants- I need one of each color!!!
Enjoyed the show
Sarah
Louis, I just wanted to tell you that it has finally gotten cool enough, (well this morning, anyway, it’s 80’s again this afternoon) to wear the cropped cardigan and the mock turtleneck. I LOVE this!!!! The cardigan is unbelievably soft! And the set looks beautiful together (Heather grey). I will be stalking for other colors since my size is now sold out. Please tell me that this will be reordered for next year?
Hi Louis. If you are able, could you do the mock neck tunics next time in ballet or crew neck (without the mock turtle neck)? Some of us shorter necked women would love these layering pieces. I tried the mock neck in two different sizes but could not wear it. Thank you for all you do Louis. I don’t know how I ever lived without you before!
I expedited the red big deal. I ordered my usual size. It has room to layer. If I had sized down, the fit would have been similar to Antoinella’s fit. Since most of your coats have been formfitting, it will be nice to have something I can wear over layers. The coat is fabulous. I am on my way to the tailors to shorten the sleeves. The black coat should arrive next week.
Louis,
What are you doing to me? The clothes you are presenting for fall/winter are awesome. In addition to my big order last week, last night I ordered 3 of your “Big Deal” the lamb leather jackets in Port, Navy and Black. Question though…I looked at the garment measurements and they looked generous enough to wear big sweaters underneath the jacket. I live in North Carolina and our winters are not that cold so I wouldn’t be wearing anything heavier than your whisper knits so I went a size down because I wanted a more fitted look. Just wondering if you feel the jacket with the sweater knit, that it would be good to go down a size to get that fitted look or not. Luckily QVC does have a good exchange policy but was just wondering.
Joanne,
I, too, looked at the measurements and made an “educated guess” and went down a size from my normal coat size for Linea. Also, I, too, won’t be wearing anything heavy under it, at the most a WK sweater and wanted a more fitted look. I won’t know if I was right for about another week when I get my order of the three I ordered (dfg, port, red).
Dear Joanne, if you aren’t very big on top you should be fine.
Hi Louis, I read Sarah’s post below about her missing epaulet on her red trench. I went back to double check my two trenches — caramel and black — and, sure enough, the epaulet on the left shoulder of the black trench is missing on mine also. The loop and button are there, but no epaulet. I think the person who was responsible for doing the left epaulets must have been distracted or sleeping that day! Anyway, as Sarah asked, is there any way to get the missing epaulets from Elaine (since the sizes are all sold out)?
Waiting now for my Big Deal toppers!
Hi Louis!
I really enjoy when they pair you with Antonella. Not only is the pairing with her funny but it’s great for those who are interested in seeing how the garments work for petite plus size woman. I ordered the DFG and Port BD and can’t wait for them to arrive.
I finally received my backordered Port (12) blazer the other day and it fits wonderful and pairs well with the Port ponte pants.
I ordered the DFG ponte pants (10P) in August and thought they seemed a little shorter than the Port (10P) ponte pants. Yesterday I layed both of the pants flat and measured the inseams on both. The DFG pants measured @ 27″ and Port @ 29″. I also noticed that the item # tag was missing from the waist band in the DFG.
Could I be the only one who had a problem with these DFG (10P) and the shorter inseam? I have no choice but to return the pants and mark them as defective. Now there is no inventory in my size. I picked up the Caramel and Blk faux suede pants and regret not getting the DFG. Will there be any other DFG pants coming in the future in case my stalking is unsuccessful?
Thanks for all you do!
Dawn
Not this year Dawn, but keep stalking and go on wait lost if possible.
Hi Louis!
I know they only allow you to do so many items but I thought I’d ask anyways. Maybe I’ll get lucky and my size in the Ponte or the Faux Suede will pop up.
Thanks for all you do!
Dawn
Dawn….what was the question?
Dawn, I have the opposite problem. My DFG 16P pants are 30″ in length. The specified 29″ is too long for a petite anyway.
The DFG is such a great color that it is very disappoinitng more pant styles and Whisper Knit styles aren’t available.
Sonia,
So you’re almost in the same boat as me. Time to stalk. A 29″ or even a 30″ inseam is ideal for me and I’m 5’6″. Anytime I get a 32″ inseam it drags/puddles on the floor. It doesn’t seem like a few inches would mean much in the inseam but for me it does. I don’t wear high heels due to a knee issue and the max heel height I wear is 2 1/2″.
Dawn
Louis-
I know you are busy with the shows, but I hope you can find a moment to answer.
I’m still on the fence about purchasing the leather jacket.
The sizes were given as Small, Large, etc., but since the sizing is numerical it wasn’t much of a help.
I’d appreciate it so much if the sizes could be stated as numerical where appropriate.
Other than that, the show was terrific. Your and Antonella’s ease with each other is a joy to watch.
Thank you for the offer. BUT, I will check QVC for a return the way some of the other ladies have suggested. It the thrill of the hunt. Perhaps QVC will develop a program to address mis ships.
Hi Louis
I received many goodies today- the best surprise was the port/black velvet dress. It looks great on me if I do say so myself. Plus my new shoes came today that will look great with port tights and skirt. I ordered the port big deal per your advice.
Now for the big disappointment. My scarlet trench coat arrived, but it is missing the left shoulder epaulet and the loop. The button is there.
There are no coats remaining for an exchange.
Any chance of getting an epaulet /loop from Elaine? Or how uncouth to remove the right loop and wear without epaulets and loops?
.
Sorry to trouble you with this but want your honest opinion.
Sarah
Hi Louis,
The epaulets were missing from the shorter version of the black trench I bought last year. I didn’t notice it until after thirty days had passed so QVC wouldn’t do anything for me. If QVC decides to make new epaulets available now, please sign my up for two black ones. Love the coat but sure would like to have the epaulets too.
All the best, Ruth
That’s so strange. I can’t understand how something like that can get through.
The loops are there, just not the epaulets. Maybe if I could get some fabric, my seamstress could make epaulets.
I wrote the idea of having epaulets made before I read you post on your Home page, so forget this post please.
The new crystal bead necklace is posted.
Hi Louis! In the off chance you see this, can the sleeves be shortened on the Big Deal leather jacket? I would have to shorten two inches! Sigh….Thank you!
Yes, but it has to be done by a tailor. The leather part is the easy part. It’s the Knit that needs a little care it would just be a basic hem, but the way it’s stitched is the thing.
Thank you!
Louis,
Just received my faux suede pants. They are incredible. I hope you will design other items using this wonderful fabric. Cheered me up while we wait for Michael to hit. Still haven’t cleaned up from Florence.
Oh Beryl….take care!
Louis,
I just received my sequined pants and they are gorgeous. I was a little concerned about sitting on sequins but you are right that they are the correct size and it is quite comfortable to wear. One request for next year is could we have cream colored sequined pants to match to some of your jackets. I think that would be quite elegant. I had written before about what to pair with these pants and your advice was to shop my closet and I found lots of things … velvet jacket, silk shantung shirt jacket and I even tried one of your cotton shirts and it all looked great. To make sure that I got the pants I logged on right after midnight and ordered them even before the picture was posted. There was so much interest that I didn’t know if I would miss out.
I also ordered the faux-suede pants in black. red turtleneck sweater and the red trench-coat. I understand that there will be red pants in Nov so I am looking forward to ordering those.
Thank you so much for making all of us feel beautiful in your designs. I ALWAYS get compliments when I wear your pieces and the best thing is that they will always be in style.
Hello Louis, I went into my closet filled with all your clothes past and present and what did I find but two sequined tops of your from the past and one is the exact same fabric perfect match. I had to laugh what’s the odds of that happening. The moral of the story is keep all your Linea clothes because what goes around comes around again so Linea ladies check your closets. I love those trench coats and now the Big Deal so exciting but what color to choose? Do you remember those fancy jackets with pearl buttons and the other is off white with black ruffle trim in black they are really fancy and look perfect with the sequined pants. I wish I could send a picture fo a reminder of the beautiful clothes you have made for us through the years.
Louis, I just received my faux suede pants in 2 of the 3 colors I ordered and I received the open cardigan in caramel. Wow, I love them all. I will be giving both items 5-star reviews and ordering the cardigan in more colors. The cardigan is the perfect “outerwear jacket” for winter here on the Florida Panhandle. I’m hoping our power stays on today so that I can catch your presentation later. Your fall collection is fantastic!
Deborah,
Good luck to you and all in the way of Hurricane Michael!
I hope all remain safe and with power.
Goldie
The big deal topper has been posted. I ordered 3 of them and initially got a notice saying it cannot be shipped to California. I tried again and it was successful, but the order doesn’t show up in my order status page. I am not sure if I order went through 🙁
I received an email saying sorry it cannot be shipped. I tried to place another order and it went through. So far no emails about shipping.
I live in SoCal and my order is In Process. If it does not show in your Order Status I woul call QVC and place you order through them and have them give you the order number.
I bought the sequin pants and was shipped a dress instead. I called QVC and was told by customer service that they could not help me. Sold out.
That is unbelievable….what a disorganized group!
Apparently this is the way business is being done there now. I ordered the pointe pants in Fawn and when the package arrived there were a pair of striped Susan Graver pants in a plastic bag with all of the Linea information on it. Of course by then all of the pointe pants in Fawn were sold out. Same story from QVC Customer Service. It’s overdue that they get their shipping problems fixed!!!
I told my husband that you responded to my my message. He said oh no that would be his secretary that responds for him… we all know it’s really you. Thank you Louis for making us all feel special enough for your personal attention.
Dear Marti….tell your husband I’m a one man operation….no secretary!
I ordered the suede pants and the sequin pants and the sequin pants were missing even though the order said delivered. Customer service could not help. I am so dissappointed! The suede pants are outstanding !
Marti,
What size do you need? I ordered two and will be returning one on Saturday……would be happy to send it to you instead of back to QVC.
Jean
Marti – I am between sizes so I ordered a Medium and a Large. I will be returning the Large – what size did you order?
I didn’t have any problems ordering to LA. In fact, I tried to cancel one of them and it wouldn’t let me because they said it was too far into the shipping process. (I was cancelling to take advantage of a higher ebates, but oh well.) I did have to send some FFANY shoes to my sister in St. Louis because they wouldn’t ship here. Plus a Linea jacket that was on super sale. And the As Is palm fronds long necklace. UGH. Good thing the holiday returns policy is in effect. I’m not going there until mid November.
