    I just wanted to tell you how much I love the WK pearl sweaters. You have had some wonderful items this season, but these may be my favorites. I got the ice grey which I was unsure about with my coloring, but I absolutely love it!! So glad I took the chance. Now I just need some cooler weather. It’s in the 80s today! Being a purple girl, I also got the lilac. Gorgeous!!

    Looking forward to your shows. Hoping the velvet top is on as I’m anxious to see it. Safe travels!

    I’m a happy customer today. I was stalking linea on qvc as usual, and tadaa I found the lariat necklace that sold out in a flash. I was hesitant to buy it earlier thinking it wasn’t my style but the more I kept looking at it on models and pictures, the more I wanted to try it. There was only copper ox left and I bought it. I checked back again and it was gone. I got the last one haha. Happy happy.

    I also happened to see an “as is” petite gauze crepe wide leg pant become available but not in my size. Those look wonderful in alabaster. Louis, are you going to be doing any wide leg pants next season? I am a sucker for wide leg high waist pants.

      I know how you feel. I wanted a second pair of the black suit pants in petite since I also purchased the black tuxedo jacket. Totally sold out in my size. I stalked and then one day my size appeared as available. I was so happy. Congrats on your purchase.

    With all the QVC customer service issues, I thought this one would take the cake. I ordered both sets of hoop earrings, then received them both, then received a letter in the mail saying they were cancelled!

      Hi Joyce, something similar happened to me. I placed an order for a port blazer on wait list, got a letter saying it was cancelled. Ok I say, well about a week later the port blazer arrived. I of course was very happy.

      I had the same experience, except my cancellation letter for the earrings came the same day as the earrings! Go figure. Something has happened at QVC, things use to run so smoothly.

    Dear Louis,
    I just want to make you aware of an issue with the exotic earrings that may be isolated. Love the earrings, even though QVC sent me clip ons, instead of the pierced I ordered. That’s an easy fix. The finish on the brasstone and silvertone ox is dull and has tiny scratches all over, while the copper and hematite are perfect. A couple other ladies in the forum also report the same thing. Was this intended or did we just get an irregular batch?

      The copper, silver & gold are suppose to be “ox” finishes and I just accepted that the finishes on these three were that.

        Lynn..I am of the same mind. I don’t have any of the necklaces with the ox finish. So I did not know what to expect. The muted finish is different, and I can see what the other ladies mean by “scratches”. So far, I have paired them with my jewelry from Barbara Bixby and American West. Both offer pieces with varying levels of oxidation. Shiny earrings don’t always look right with that kind of jewelry. I think I will keep them, but am interested in what the rest of you think of them, especially if you have the ox necklaces.

        I have the same issue with my exotic finish earrings. The problem is that they are not muted, like my Ox finish necklaces – they are actually shiny with rather large scratches. I think what some of us are asking is whether all of the exotic ox finishes are like this, or if we got a bad batch.

          Yvette…Thank you for the clarification. Now I understand why you are questioning what you have received. Mine have no shine, other than the hematite, which is shiny. The rest are the muted finish, which sounds like the necklaces. Hope you receive a set that you like.

          Dear Yvette, I really can’t say because I don’t know. Not every piece of jewelry is made in the same factory so plating colors will always vary. I just want them to blend with the necklaces so there is more of a choice then gold or silver.

            Dear Louis, thanks so much for the info that there is more than one factory doing the plating. I guess that explains it. Unfortunately one of these factories didn’t do a very good job of matching the silver ox and brass ox that is used on your necklaces. Darn! The other two colors in the exotic set are just perfect.

              Dear Yvette, I don’t want to miss lead you. When I say we have different factories to make certain things that’s not to say the hoops are split and made in different factories. That wouldn’t make sense. All of the hoops are made in one factory, the same factory that makes my fish. The exotics do have abrasions to give them an aged look, but they shouldn’t be scratched. They also are not shiny like the Classics.

              Oops! I misunderstood what you said about the different factories. Hard to figure out what’s up with the exotic hoops some of us received. Since I have a lot of your jewelry, I know what your ox finishes look like – an this isn’t it. I’m puzzled, and tempted to call CS and try with another exotic set, because the design of these earrings is just great.

    Hi Louis – QVC customer service is messing up again! I called customer service about J-358187, the 72 inch faceted bead and necklace set for $62.00. They told me the reason I did not receive earrings with it is because it is not a set. They said the earrings were listed as J-387788 for $35.60 and they are sold out. I kept them on the phone while went to the Q website. It is listed as a set and the earrings don’t show up at all. They told me they will look into. Was told don’t order again as will be sent out just a necklace again. The total for both would be$97.60 plus SH and tax. How frustrating!

      Chrystene, I can understand your frustration! I would call back, again. You will get a different CS Rep. if you get no satisfaction, ask to speak to a manager or supervisor, there must be someone above the CS Rep. As you stated, it is listed on the website as a set. I would not trust them to “look” into it. Call again until this is resolved and you receive the merchandise you ordered and paid for. So many people are having numerous problems with QVC, lately. I don’t know if it’s because of new hires and people are not being trained properly but it is causing a tremendous amount of dissatisfaction with QVC.

      Chrystene, it’s just plain stupidity. I wish I could be more helpful, but it’s not my company. I’m just as frustrated as you are. All they have to do is type in the style # J358187, and it clearly says a set and shows the earring next to the necklace!

      They are very helpful when regular CS cannot help. They are a higher level of customer care and have always handled any issues I have had.

    I received the red 72 inch faceted and pave neck chain today. Sadly, there are no earrings with it. I know this was sold as a set but the invoice makes no mention of earrings. Has anyone else had this problem?

      Dear Chrystene, there definitely should be a set of earrings with the necklace!!!!! I don’t think the invoice would mention the earrings because it isn’t a separate sell…..nonetheless it should have been in the package. Please recheck and let me know. This could not have been a return this early in the game.

    I am late in posting this, but I have had 3 months of not being able to get my email, (long story), and finally switched to another provider, which seems to have solved the problem. But during that period, I couldn’t get your blog, so I wasn’t sure when you were scheduled. Fortunately, I was able to get both of you October programs on the main channel, which showed the items I had wanted. I love the Maltese Cross Necklace Set–I have lots of things in the wine, port color area–and they are beautiful with them. I have also combined it with the Byzentyne–awful spelling :(–and am knocked out by how gorgeous the combination is. Since I think both sets are available, I thought others might be interested for gifts or themselves.

    I am so glad to be back in the fold again.

    Hi Louis!

    My tassel necklace arrived along with the blk/fireball long necklace. I’m in awe of how beautiful the black jet glass beads sparkle on the tassel necklace. I have the older mabe grey/marcasite pin you did a few years ago and will pair that with the tassel necklace. Please bring us more jewelry with the smaller black jet beads (tassel) next holiday season. And how about some more marcasite looking items also?

I hope it gets reordered so that you can bring more colors. I know it would be beautiful because the black is so beautiful and easy to wear. It’s subtle sparkle is great with everything.     Louis, I received three colors of the pearl sleeve sweater today and I’m over the moon about them. I know some are disappointed in the length of the sleeve, but they hit me midway between knuckle and wrist, right at that perfectly sophisticated sweet spot.

    I’m finding myself grabbing for the A341741 Jeans pants more often than I had imagined I would. I even wore a pair on an airplane last week, and I would never, ever, ever wear normal jeans on plane because they are not comfortable enough. I really hope they are reordered. The stretch fabric is so forgiving and they just can’t wrinkle.

    My tuxedo jacket finally shipped, so I can stop holding my breath now! I would love some slim leg/ankle pants in the tux/trench fabric next year to wear with it.

    I was able to find red leather gloves in Macy’s Charter Club brand — Port Red color. I think they are smaller than normal size (normally I take a Medium in gloves. Maybe the dye caused the gloves to be smaller? I sized up to the better fitting Large.

    Loving loving loving every fall Item I have purchased so far. Head to toe in linea has become my uniform these days. I have everything I want, except a jumpsuit. I love wearing jumpsuits but it’s so hard to find one that fits well and is flattering. Have you considered making one anytime or made one in the past? Would love to have a jumpsuit designed by you for all the details and quality you bring to it.

      I have the pebble crepe jumpsuit Louis made years ago. Still going strong, like all my Linea. It is a sleeveless summer jumpsuit, and I have it in olive green and turquoise. I have the matching colors of the pebble crepe big shirt, which works as a jacket with it. I can wear the olive well into fall in So Cal.

        I have that same fabulous turquoise jumpsuit, just wore it on a trip to Italy. I also have a black silk and linen safari style jacket that Louis did that season. They are some of my first purchases.

          Playing detective by typing in jumpsuit in the search on this page, I found the item number A199791. Entered that on the QVC.com search and there it is. Of course not available. Louis posted the jumpsuit June 2010. A testament to how timeless the Linea styles are.

      Dear Pratt, I have done one or two jumpsuits in the past, but none were really successful so I stopped. They are so difficult to fit. Everyone is built so differently. Who has a long torso, who has a short torso, and one jumpsuit has to fit everyone. Put a sleeve on it, and many women can’t get them on….let alone the problems of going to the ladies room! In my youth I owned a heavy cotton twill, arm green military styled jumpsuit. I was VERY slim then, but even that one was a challenge to get in and out of, so I do have some experience.The returns are always so high that I’ve given up. I believe the one I made was a tank style, which is more comfortable to wear…..but the problem arises what to wear over it? Ever time I present a sketch for a jumpsuit there are always sighs in the room. It’s almost comical!

        I typed in the other comment about the design for jumpsuit before I could read your comment. I understand jumpsuits are difficult to suit everybody, and the returns may be high. How does qvc allow GILI out our so many jumpsuits, I wonder. The returns must definitely be high as I myself have returned quite a few. I think someone should come up with a customizable jumpsuit option. Low waisted high waisted, low neck high neck, pant length, sleeved vs sleeveless, like plug n play haha.

          Pratt, I have no idea about the Gili line as their fit is very different. I do know from history…..dresses and jumpsuits are always HIGH RETURNS. I have never been truly successful with either. I have never had a reorder for a dress or a jumpsuit.

    Hi Louis, I hope you see this before everything gets “archived” and it disappears! As much as I dislike it when any of your items go on clearance and never return, I’m so happy that it allows me to purchase more than I would have been able to otherwise. I recently purchased the Wing Collar Blouse in port and teal and I love them! Thanks to the clearance price, I just went back and picked up 2 in the slate blue and another in teal. While I wish these would be available all the time, I’m happy to be able to get multiples on clearance.

    I just received my order for the Exotic Earrings (expedited shipping). I ordered them from the recently reposted availability. When I opened the package the crystal and simulated pearl earrings were in the box. These earrings are beautiful, but I already have them. Back went the package.
    Has anyone else received the exotic earrings…are they really available to order? I’m looking forward to having both the exotic and the classic earrings. This is so frustrating.

        Yes, Louis. that is exactly what happened. I received the black jet and pearl earrings in your Linea box. It looks like someone put the wrong box of earrings in the mailing envelope. I wonder if someone else received the Exotic Hoops instead of their order of the black jet and pearl earrings.
        Rarely do I return any of your beautiful clothes and jewelry, but this is a QVC mistake and should not count for a return. I did contact CS and did receive a refund for the expedited shipping. I have reordered the Exotic Hoops – so glad to know that Carol received her earrings. I know that I will love them when they finally arrive.

          Dear Susan, Now I understand. You didn’t receive the large black box that the hoops are shipped in….you received the normal box with the pearl earring. I was thinking the manufacture mixed the wrong earring in the wrong box! This was a QVC error.

      I’m surprised by this, because I got both sets today and they came in a not QVC box, like items that are prepacked at the factory, if you know what I mean. The invoice was taped to the outside of the box. This seems like a particularly bonehead mistake. So sorry. They are the BEST!

    I just received my fourth Etruscan Necklace Set in the green patina. I’ve been stalking this and one showed up. Now I have all four. And I should say, wow, the green patina looks wonderful with the port, dark forest green & caramel colors. I held off on ordering the green not being sure what to wear it with. Now I know. You probably knew this already, so this comment is more for the Linea Ladies who haven’t tried the green with these new colors. It’s a fascinating story of how the green patina is made. Just out of curiosity, will the Etruscan set be re-ordered? These necklaces are such a wardrobe staple. Thank you for this different take on the basic gold, silver & copper metals.

Playing in closet this a.m., pulled port topper from last season and now REALLY want port slacks like mushroom/black.     I wrote you asking about whether the slim ponte pants were ever available in scarlet size 2 as they were showing as sold out on the first day posted on the QVC website. You were going to check with the manufacturer to see if any were available and I was wondering whether they had gotten back to you. I even posted my question on the item’s question section but no answer from QVC. Is there a way to contact the buyer for your line at QVC to push for more inventory in smallest sizes, I see size 4 scarlet is now sold out. Thank you

      Sorry for the delay…..I think I need a secretary with all the questions!….LOL……..the pant was avail in red but they sold out…..the buyers buy very limited quantities in xxs, xs, 2x and 3x so they are quick to go. The largest quantities are M to xl, and then they scale down from there in both directions of sizing.

        Thank you for the reply Louis, I will keep stalking a 2R scarlet. I am celebrating success in picking up your XXS navy cropped cardigan which became available today. I didn’t grab it the first day because the navy xxs skirt had sold out in both lengths but I was able to successfully stalk them as well. It took me five years to get that navy skirt I have about 15 or 20 whisper knit navy tops. Hooray! I’m hoping you are able to bring the skirt back, love the slit in the back. I really am serious about wanting to lobby the QVC buyers to purchase more in the smallest sizes. They are missing out on a lot of business!

          I agree, Pepper. I have noticed that the xs disappears so quickly, but there is plenty of mediums, etc. If you didn’t grab a bootcut ponte pant right away this fall, there were no sizes 4 or 6 to be had, except for the occasional one if you stalked enough. I wonder if there are more Linea ladies in smaller sizes than the average Q customer?

    Am trying to repost as I believe I did something wrong in my first attempt to post. Sorry. I posted on Q Forum, Blog also & a kind person suggested I post here.
    Dear Louis, I have been so fortunate to receive every item I ordered even though items were either “in process, waitlisted or backordered” & flipped back & forth several times.. I finally received the Black trench coat @ 11:15 this AM. It appeared to be a return as it was in a plastic bag inside a Q wht. plastic bag with orange Q letters. I didn’t care paying full price, I was so happy to finally receive it as I have both suits in Mushroom & Black. Tried the coat on & went back to the bag for the belt…No belt! I’m beyond upset! Somewhere there is a size 18 Black trench coat belt floating around. Is there any suggestion as to how to try & get the matching belt? I’m not sending the coat back as was suggested by CS, I’ll Never see another! I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

      Dear Rosemary….This is very distressing as I’m sure this way a return. I wish some people were more responsible and return all the pieces that go to the garments they receive. I can ask my manufacturer if there is any way to get another belt, size 18, black. I will get back to you either way.         What’s really annoying is there is a Black Trenchcoat in sz 18 still listed as being “in stock.” When I attempt to add to my cart, it states, “Not available.” QVC needs to take it down! It’s almost like fraud..Listing something for sale that’s Not Available!

        Mr Dell ‘Olio has a strong following because he knows how to dress a woman. His garments are classic & beautifully tailored. His jewelry is beautiful too. Does QVC really want to lose all of the Linea customers? If I could, I would purchase Linea items elsewhere & be done with QVC!

    Just received the tuxedo jacket. I upgraded shipping in case I needed to exchange for size. It is true to size and beautiful. In my opinion you could easily dress it up or down. I also received the black sweater with pearls. The sleeve are long on me. I am 5 ft 3 in. When you designed this, where did you anticipate the bottom to hit on the hand?

      Hi Ceicei, so glad you like the Tuxedo. The sweater should hit anywhere from below the wrist bone to about 2 inches below…..Preferably 2-2/12 inches below.

        I just received the gorgeous pearl sweater in lilac mist, but sadly I will need to return it. At 5′ 4 1/2″ the sleeves totally cover my fingertips.The rest of the sweater fits beautifully. I own stacks of the whisper knit pieces, but I cuff the sleeves to make them work for me. I guess I need to pass on the embellished sleeves. I’m wondering if the smokey iris wk tunic is the right shade to go with the lilac mist pearl necklace which I also purchased. It’s a very pretty necklace and I’m hoping to find something else which will match instead of the pearl sweater.

      Hi Louis!

      I also received my Tuxedo jacket. I did not expedite my order. I have a promotional special with UPS that they upgrade my packages. The jacket even came in a box and not in a crummy bag! Back to the jacket… I ordered the same size as I did in the Port blazer and it looks as if it was custom made. The length of the sleeves on me is perfect. Haven’t had time to play around and shop my closet yet but know for sure that once I do I’ll be even happier.

      The Port velvet skirt also arrived. It is a luscious color. I went with my normal size and because of the stretch could have really sized down.

      It’s been an outstanding season and I don’t remember ever buying as much clothing and jewelry as I have this fall. I’ll be eating a lot of Ramen noodles if you continue on this path.

I can see that they did not buy enough of the crystal bead because I ordered it as soon as it came on air and it went straight to sold out and it’s been on waitlist for a while now.     Hi Louis! The saga continues with the long-awaited set of four hoop earrings. This is what I have posted on the QVC Linea forums: I ordered the Classics on 10/18 and my order was cancelled on 10/25. I reached out to corporate and spoke to someone on Friday (10/26). She is contacting the buyer to investigate what happened; there may have been an issue with passing quality control or not all inventory being delivered. She is supposed to get back to me on Monday.
    When I saw the exotics become available again on Friday I ordered (they are still in processing) because I’m not confident we’ll ever see the Classics.
    I’ll post again if/when I hear back from corporate.

      Dear AZ Donna….all I can tell you is the Classics do exist and have been shipped. There is no shortage and they passed quality control, so I don’t know what the hold up is. All I can think is that products that don’t have air time do not get priority processing. This time of year they is so much product going into QVC for gift giving that things get pushed aside. I will check to see if I can get any info.

        Louis, several of us were able to order on Thursday the 25th, when both sets were available on and off all day (mostly off, lol). I ordered both classic and exotic in pierced, and they are definitely on their way to me. Tracking shows that they moved from PA to NJ and are now in GA. From past experience, it will take a couple more days for them to arrive in NOLA. I’ll let you know when I have them in my hot little hands. Have been waiting for for your hoops since you first mentioned them, so I’m excited! (And the Saints beat the Vikings last night – woo hoo!)

      Dear Pecan Cookie, I just looked to see the photo, and it’s not there? I did however see the picture of the velvet skirt……it hurt my eyes!!!!!The colors are so washed out. The colors of the skirts look much deeper and richer than their photos. They must use a strong strobe light pointing directly on the clothes. They really do a terrible job of styling and photographing apparel. I take that back…they don’t style them at all!

I wasn’t a blazer person until a few months ago but once I started being a linea lady, I was intrigued with all the rave reviews and mostly with the styling options you give us and show us… and now I have quite a good collection and this tuxedo jacket will be a great addition.         And to chime in on the not so good pictures qvc posts, I think it’s true for most of your pieces. The worst being sequin pants.. I thought the pants looked bulky and all bunched up at the hips on seeing the qvc pics but your sneak peeks were on the contrary. Most of the jewelry pics too, they don’t have that allure, with the qvc pics. I’d rather just check your website and decide what to buy. Love the sketches you do, and please keep posting them often.

I buy whenever I can.I’m a petite lady size XS or sometimes an XXS small depending on the cut.I love the tops you’ve been showing with the bell & sometimes embellished sleeves.However,I have short arms & they are way to long for me.Would you ever consider doing them in a 3/4 sleeve or in petites? I’m sure that I’m not the only lady with this problem. I’m able to turn up a cuff on the regular sleeves but can’t do it on the fancier ones.

      Dear Evelyn, unfortunately I don’t get to decided what gets bought in petites, and since the quantity on this sweater was limited, petites were not an option. This sweater can’t be done in petites or 3/4 sleeves, but I will consider 3/4 sleeves in the future.

My husband purchased the new long black jacket,two of them in size 4.He also purchased the Navy in size 4. It was being processed then went into backoder. I just talked to QVC and they processed on the wrong card and sold it to someone else without notifying me. My husband is upset because after each chemotherapy threatment he will go on line and purchase something from your line. He was lucky to get the cream leather jacket before it was sold out.       Dear Cathy, there is nothing I would like to do more than get a size 4 navy jacket for you, but none exist to my knowledge. Even my Manufacturer only has a size 8 that she has to keep for her library. Sorry. Keep checking the site. I’m always reading that women bought two and are sending one back….or it’s too big or too small so you may luck out. As soon as they are processed back into the system they will show up on the site. This can take 2 weeks….sometimes less sometimes more.

Even though the item number is correct, I really thought in my mind, that was pant A268216 because I consider that one to be more straight leg. Just wanted to let you know in case others might be confused.

    Oh Louis! I have been hoping for a light grey whisper knit sweater and at last you did one! Alas but I missed the introduction of it and it sold out. A visit to the vet with my cat had my attention. I did order the black but still long for the grey. I hope that you make other wn pieces in silvery grey. With the arrival of cooler weather I’ve been having fun pairing up my Linea separates, old and new. I shouldn’t say old because your clothing never looks old. I love the new port blazer with the lilac mist funnel neck. Tomorrow I’m expecting the Art Nouveau pendent in gold. It had me at your first blog post of it; l’ve been waiting ever since. You should know that you play an important role in these times, by offering us a respite from from chaos and ugliness.     Hi Louis, I received all my goodies in perfect condition. Trench coats (caramel and red), leather topper (dfg, red and black) and sequin pants and faux suede pants in all colors and many more. Love love love everything… as always everything is well made and very classic.     Yesterday I wore the magenta short leather jacket with everything grey underneath ( grey mock neck and grey metallic pleated skirt I already had along with the grey linea control top tights). Compliments galore. The jacket was a head turner, men and women wanted to know what exactly the color is called and where I bought it. Some even said it must have cost a fortune haha. The magenta is really stunning , like a rich lipstick shade. It works really well on my yellow undertone tan skin tone.
    A style question – I have a few faux leather pants ( black and chocolate brown) and am wondering if leather pants with the leather topper would be ok or too much. Would love to hear from you and how you style them. Thanks.

        No Joanne, I believe QVC wants to keep them very separate and to not cross over brands. If they did there wouldn’t be much reason for the two channels.

    I’ve been collecting “smooth” black velvet pieces, including your “vintage” black velvet pants. The skirt will be my first crushed velvet item. I’m looking forward to the crushed velvet top you sneak peeked with the pearl necklace. What do you think of mixing and matching the smooth velvet and the crushed velvet pieces?

      Dear Chris….anything can work if it looks right. I would certainly prefer a smooth velvet pant with the crushed velvet top. Having crushed velvet top and pants could look too much, but even that I’d have to see……never say never.

    Louis, far too many ladies have either received the wrong size or color and some have received blenders instead of apparel even though the invoice is listed correctly. When the incorrect item is sent back with the correct invoice, will this be charged against you as a return? Cat

      Dear Louis, I have been so fortunate to receive every item I ordered even though items were either waitlisted or backordered. I finally received the Black trench coat @ 11:15 this AM. It appeared to be a return as it was in a plastic bag inside a Q wht. plastic bag with orange Q letters. I didn’t care paying full price, I was so happy to finally receive it as I have both suits in Mushroom & Black. Tried the coat on & went back to the bag for the belt…No belt! I’m beyond upset! Somewhere there is a size 18 Black trench coat belt floating around. Is there any suggestion as to how to try & get the matching belt? I’m not sending the coat back as I’ll never see another! I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!
