Louis, there seems to have been one lonely dark magenta leather jacket remaining in my size, perhaps a return. Before I pull the trigger on it, could you please tell me what I can pair this color with? I already figured the dark heather charcoal grey, and of course Linea navy – really crossing my fingers for the long midi WK skirt in Linea Navy – but what else can I shop my closet for in the way of colors? I’m having a brain cramp on this one. Just point me in the right direction 🙂 Many Thanks!

    1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Oops, never mind. The one sold out. At least it won’t be lonely anymore 😉

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

The one ~ popped back up in stock last night and I jumped on it 🙂 It’s in process.

        1. Nancy

          Dear Nancy,

You won’t be sorry. It is my favorite one–the color is fantastic. It looks great with port as well as the colors you mentioned. I purchased magenta gloves to go with it (Portolano on Amazon). Enjoy!

          1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Thank you Nancy! I’m looking forward to receiving it. Do you have what Louis called the NAVY version of the Fall blackened floral print soft skirt? I was wondering if the dark magenta – I think of it as fuchsia – would work with that particular floral skirt. Guess I’ll find out soon. And thanks for the great tip on gloves. I’ll be remembering you Nancy, when I wear it 🙂

Many of us want to remember Jac in a special way. We know you won’t outwardly put this out because you are too kind a gentleman.

My thread got removed by one of the mods there but here is the info for those who do want to remember Jac:

Thank you, JJM — we’re all keeping Louis and Jac especially close in our thoughts and our prayers just now.

Dear Chris…..I’m really overwhelmed with emotions. I thank you for remembering Jac in this way. I can’t believe the 12th will be one year.

    Dear Louis,
I just received the Dark Forest Green faux suede pants today. I absolutely love the styling, the workmanship, and that fabulous fabric. I also got the WK turtleneck in the same color so I could have a “Column of Color” thing going on.
Is there any chance that there will be additional pieces coming out in this fabric? I would love a blazer and a skirt in addition to the pants.
The Dark Forest Green is beautiful. Could we also have pieces in red, navy, camel, taupe, and burgundy?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear WwF, I would love to do more pieces in the faux suede fore the future, and have done many sketches, but I never know what they will pick.

  8. Hi Louis,
Would your rain print top A295912 in red multi, work with the port blazer and pant?
I was thinking of ordering it. Thanks!!!

  9. Sharon L

My stalking paid off. My big deal leather jacket in size 12 navy has shipped. I had ordered a 16 and had to return cause it was huge. Unfortunately at the time there was no waitlist available . My guess is returns were high cause of the number sizing. Customer service gave me a credit towards the original price. I can’t wait to get it. Also cause of extended holiday returns it takes awhile for the returns to come in. Thought you and the ladies would want to know.

    1. Kathy/Wis

Sharon, That’s great. I just snagged a faux suede black petite size 12, I was so foolish to not have ordered them in the beginning when I ordered the DFG and Caramel.

  10. Carolyn

What a surprise to look at your blog and see the heartwarming gathering you and some of the wonderful ladies from the Q had. Makes me love all of you even more. Happy Holidays … and let it snow, let it snow, let it snow 🙂

  11. Gail from PA

    Hi Louis,
Your posts about Jac’s love for tuxedo jackets promted me to go to the attic and bring down a Ralph Lauren one that I forgot about. It looks great over your white wing collar shirt. Also over the white whisper knit turtleneck. The jacket is 97% wool/3% spandex so it’s not vintage.
Jac continues to inspire. Thanks for sharing that.

  12. Joanne

    Hi Louis
I purchased your A343031 Linea WHisper knit cropped cardigan in Heather Charcoal Gray along with the matching tunic and slim leg ponte pants. It is a sensational outfit.

My question: Are you bringing back A343031 WK cropped cardigan in black etc.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Well Joanne, here’s the story….the same old story….due to budgets it was a matter of bringing back the cardigan or something new…..I chose something new. That said it still may come back, but I don’t know for sure.

      1. Joanne

        Louis
After stalking forever and forever, I finally was able to purchase your (A343031)cropped cardigan in black in small. The black tunic was also available in small. So now I am happy. This wonderful twinset is perfect for both casual as well as professional wear. I am sure it will look good with my slim leg black ponte pants as well as the Linea black suit trousers you introduced this fall. So if the cropped cardigan does not come back, I will not be unhappy. I like new also.

By the way I wore your black beaded pants with your Linea pointelle black peplum cardigan from a few years with a beautiful long strand of baroque pearls, pearl earrings and black suede pumps. A great outfit pairing up the Linea new with a lovely Linea oldie!

  13. Joyce Adams

Louis, what a wonderful story to wake up to! I felt like I was at the Cher Show with you and the girls. Bob Mackie, like you, is such a gracious, classy talented designer, and it is heart warming to know you are such good friends, of course Jac was with you! Thank you for sharing this experience. I am in Ohio and may have to wait for the traveling company to see the show, but it is tops on my list.

  14. Lynn H

The new photos of the crushed velvet top qvc.com are sooo much more flattering!

      1. Sylvia

        Soooo much better!

  15. Pratt

Just letting you know that the pearl and brooch necklace has been the most talked about in my friends circle. The most common comment being “that necklace is so different, I wouldn’t have purchased it had I seen it just laying in a store. Now that I see it on, I really really like it, where can I find it?”. Of course I directed them to the listing. I resonated with their feeling as I too wouldn’t have purchased it just by looking at qvc s pics. Your photos with it styled sold me in a second. I have worn it with the blue velvet top, and two other times with Indian ethnic wear. People were confused if it’s traditional Indian jewelry or something available here coz it went really well with all the shiny multicolored raw silk Indian outfits. It’s a treasure and I am glad I have it.

    1. Pratt

And people have been commenting on how I have a very unique taste and a sense of style. I gladly took the compliments but chuckled silently thinking I didn’t put in any effort, it was all laid out by you 😊😊

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Pratt….you put in a lot of effort. Wearing clothes with confidence and making it look effortless that’s effort.

  16. Somersault

Louis, need to pick your brain! Somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought you and Jac had purchased the “flip” trees. I’ve been looking at the ones from Balsam Hill and considering purchasing one to make my life a little easier. Your trees are, always, beautiful and look so lovely. Is it easy to set up and put away? Any of your thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you! oxoxoxox Cat

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Somersault. We got our tree from Frontgate [9 feet], and it is not a flip tree. I store it on my sun porch….I don’t cover it up….so I have a pine tree all year long….LOL

      1. Somersault

Louis, thank you! My wreaths, garlands and tree came from Frontgate as well. I love that it is on your sun porch! I wish I had that option! oxoxoxo Cat

  17. Hi Louis,
I ordered J358184, the pearl and “broach” necklace the minute I saw it available. As luck would have it … it went to the dreaded back order. I was sooo bummed because this necklace really spoke to me and I figured I’d missed out. I love (and buy) all your jewelry but I especially wanted this one. (I’m a bit like a crow and attracted to shiny things.) SURPRISE! It arrived yesterday and I must say that it is spectacular. Part vintage but oh so modern – I can’t wait to wear it. Thank you for such fabulous designs.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Donna…..it just so happens that the necklace has been reordered, and this time around we are adding the earring that was meant to go with it. They are clip on and they are like the two brooches on the necklace. They are great earrings on their own too.

      1. Hi Louis,
Thanks for the update. Great news for those who don’t have the necklace yet.
I purchased a pair of pearl earrings from Gump’s in San Francisco before they closed, in case I was lucky enough to get the necklace. However, I’d love to have the earrings that match. Any chance they could be offered on their own for those of us who already own the necklace ?

      2. Ceicei

Hi Louis, i spent so much this season that I decided not to get this necklace. Big regret. When will this be available? So glad the earrings will be available. 8F27

  18. Scott

Hello, I’m not sure that this is you or not, but I finally retired one of your tuxedos last night after a good 10-year run. I feel like a family member died. I bought this at the old Syms clothing stores and I’ve had at least 7 tuxedos come and go during this time (As a server, we’re pretty hard on our tuxedos!). This tuxedo made me feel like a million bucks every time I put it on; not only did it fit perfect, but it had a luxurious paisley interior that felt great, and not like any other tuxedo, this one had the shiny lapel on the jacket, not on the pants. A total classic, and it will really be missed. If this was your creation, thank you! I totally loved this tuxedo! Scott

    1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

      Scott, What a great tribute!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Scott. I can’t be 100% sure it was mine, but I did do a full range of mens clothing for Syms, who was a dear friend. It would have had a Louis Dell’Olio label in it. It very well could have been mine. All of my clothing was made in Italy. Great quality at unbelievable prices.

  19. Enjay

Well I think I have one for the record books. On November 18, I took advantage of the sale price and ordered the whisper knit mock neck tank in 2 more colors. (Love this piece!) One is still “In Process”, but one sweater showed as being shipped, and the package arrived yesterday. Except … when I opened the box, it was filled with bags of candy – the kind you buy to give out on Halloween. About ten of them. When I called the Q’s customer service, I was told, “Well, people do crazy things.” ???!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Enjay…..I think the Christmas elves were playing a trick on you! That is one for the books. Everything is coded. I don’t know how they make these mistakes. Is anyone awake there.

  20. Joanne

    Hi Louis
I just did a search on the QVC program guide. They said you have a show from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. on QVC 2 on December 19.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne…..I was told about this show plus a one hour show at 4pm and a “hit” at 7pm, all on QVC2, but I haven’t gotten an appearance request, so it’s strange that the show is posted without my confirmation. Of course I will do it if it’s ever official.

  21. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

I have the green grass carnival necklace ordered. I oredered it on November 11th. It has gone from in process to back ordered over half a dozen times. I keep getting the run around from customer service. Is there anything you can do just to get them to ship it?

    Hugs,
    Bernadette

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Bernadette, unfortunately no. It isn’t for me to interfere in their business. My guess is they don’t have it!

  22. luvitorleaveit

Dear Louis, I absolutely adore my tuxedo jacket which is so much more than a tuxedo jacket as I wrote in my review….this is an anywhere anytime jacket. Today I received the beautiful pearl sweater in grey, omg this is such a special treasure to own in any color the quality and workmanship is excellent, I ordered my regular xl size and it fits perfectly the sleeves stops right at my knuckles so chic and elegant. I also love the red ponte pants I stopped counting how many colors I own but these are beautiful too as with everything that you have brought to us. Any of these items mentioned would be easily three if not more digits in the stores. Thank you.

  23. Rose

I just received J358185 the 4 strand necklace. They are so beautiful but the thread they are stung on broke on 2 of them from just taking them out of the pouch. It looks like the beads just cut through them. Is there anyway this could be resolved if they come back in stock?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Rose….please send the broken necklace for repairs to:
      REPAIRS DEPARTMENT
      C/O TCJC LLC
      3B Industrial Drive
      Smithfield, R.I 02917
Also send a check for $7.50 to TCJC LLC for return shipping. I’m sure you will be pleased with the result

  24. LeefromMinnesota

For my fellow Linea Ladies who also have the wonderful tuxedo jacket: although I quite like my Linea white wing collar shirt under the jacket, I wanted a tank option as well. The Linea Knit Tank A304658 works beautifully– its lightweight, silky and the neckline is not too low, just right. Looks like it’s available in all sizes in black or white (I purchased white), great price. Thank you once again Mr. LDO!

  25. AZ Donna

Happy Thanksgiving Louis! I just wanted to give a heads-up to anyone who might be stalking, there are some Carnival necklaces available again, currently in four colors; also two options in the Beach Glass necklace. I hit the jackpot the other day and picked up the Beach Glass in three colors, a Petal necklace in gold (to complete my collection), and the Multi Strand necklace in Royal; all at “as is” pricing!!

  26. Barbara C

Hello Louis, I’m wondering which of the print blouse colors of A343028 you would recommend for the mushroom blazer and pant. I adore the blue but for this suit think one of the other colors may work better. Thank you. Barbara

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Barbara, with the mushroom I prefer the orchid. There are taupes in the prints that blend nicely with the mushroom. This print is also a softer coloration that I like with the mushroom. It must be in one of the videos for either the blazer or the mushroom WK cardigan. I know it’s in my sneak peek

      1. Barbara C

        Thank you, Louis.

        1. Chris/Jazzmom

The rose placement shadow print looks very nice too with the mushroom suit. It has fall colors & to me, they all play well together. I wore it for Thanksgiving.

  27. Gail from PA

    Dear Louis,
Best wishes to you as you spend the holiday with your family. Nothing brings more comfort than those who know and love you.

  28. Hi Louis,
As I reflect on my many blessings, please know that you are on my list. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones. Thinking of you and Jac.
    Donna

  29. claudia felice

    Louis
Just wondering if you will be bringing back the single breasted blazer coat in black. It looks beautiful but unfortunately I missed out. Thank you for all the lovely things you design that make us feel so stylist and confident.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Claudia, that beautiful coat is not on the radar, but I’m with you and think it should be brought back!

  30. Sylvia

Louis, I did not order the suede pants initially. I stalked QVC, and a size 8 in DFG and later black popped up. I got the DFG today, and I LOVE them!!! The fit is perfect and the color is so saturated and rich! My black is on the way! AND, I got put on the dreaded “backorder” for the Crystal Bead Cluster necklace, and I got that today… OMG!!! It is GORGEOUS!!!
I am making the cranberry sauce recipe Jac gave us last year for Thanksgiving in memory of her. You will be in my thoughts. I give thanks for you and the difference you have made in the lives of your Linea Ladies.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sylvia, what I wouldn’t give to have Jac here to make me her Thanksgiving specialties. The house would be filled with unbelievable aromas by now…..Soon I will be at my brother’s where my mind will be diverted and take a pause from memories…..I am so happy you discovered the faux suede pants. When I first discovered the fabric I new they would be successful and well received. I’m glad you gave them a try. I’m hoping they will be reordered for next year.

  31. Dawn

    Hi Louis!
I’m usually up early every morning but didn’t get to the program until it was 10 minutes in. Not a fan of that host either but it’s what you have to say that I tune in.
Was going to ask how a sequin top with sequin pants looked with a tuxedo jacket and lo and behold you showed it! I wasn’t sure if would be too much. Thought of pairing port tunic, cardigan and velvet skirt and lo and behold you showed that too! Outstanding fall and holiday goodies. You rock!
I know it will be difficult for you this first Thanksgiving without Jac. I’m happy you will spend time with family. It was very difficult for my Father when my Mother had passed. It was only a couple weeks before Thanksgiving and he chose to be alone. I still worked and lived in another state at the time. They were married 6 months shy of 50 years and not a day goes by that we don’t think of her.

    Sending blessings

    Dawn

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dawn…..I totally understand your father’s feelings. Sometimes if I’m not home I feel like I’m leaving her behind. Silly I know, but can’t help the way I feel. Her spirit is strongest at home where she loved to be……where I love to be. When I’m away I can wait to get back home. I’m sure your Dad felt something like that.

  32. Anonymous

Good morning Louis. Hope you’re home safely. Guess I’m in the minority here, I thought your show was beautiful AND the host was fine too. She appeared to be a fan of yours in my mind. Oh well, everyone is very protective of you…for good reason..you are the BEST and one of a kind! Question: just curious if those blue royal pants were cropped, ankle, ponte? They looked a tad shorter on Chantal. Thanks Louis. Pamela in the sunny south.

    1. Pamela

Oh and for the ladies..there’s a silver oc Etruscan available. Amazing necklace.

    2. Anonymous

No matter. Guess I’ll be surprised this spring! Thanks

      1. Pamela

        Pamela in the beautiful,sunny south.

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

They are A265615, a reorder pant. Chantal has very long legs…LOL

  33. Joyce Adams

I wanted to chime in regarding yesterday’s show host. I am glad I wasn’t the only one to notice. Some of the newer hosts just don’t understand or appreciate elegance and the value of a designer presenting his or her clothes. I cringed when I saw who the host was, but of course will always watch and rewatch Louis multiple times!

One of my favorite, pieces this season is the velvet top. It is stunning and so comfortable. Absolutely fabulous. Others have done crushed velvet tops, but they all look puny compared to the lushness of this top. I hate to single out one piece as my favorite as I love them all, but I can’t stop raving about this lovely top.

I know it is nearly a year since Jac passed, and the holidays will be bittersweet, but she continues to inspire you, dear Louis. She will be with you during the holiday season.

  34. Carolyn

Enjoyed the show. The hour seemed to end too quickly. Thank you for everything you have created for this season. There were many pieces that I purchased in multiples (trench’s and leather/knits). I seem to be wearing it all. Oh pulled on your Linea Leisure knit pant on this morning (hope it returns and in petite too) and later had to run an errand. I was going to reach for my black long trench but saw my green short trench from last year and grabbed it. It was a perfect color match with the cypress color pant. What unexpected fun! I love clothes and have never understood nudist colonies. Take care and blessings to you and everyone that you enjoy this holiday season with – including your Jac as I know she will be with you too. Much love from one of your many Linea Ladies.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Carolyn…..thank you for my morning chuckle. I don’t mind nudists colonies, but it always seems that the most unattractive people join them…..LOL No offence to any nudists out there. I’m sure you don’t fit into that category!

  35. Carol b

I posted a comment about your show with Kristine Zell this morning but it was removed from the site. I don’t know if you have a choice of hosts but she is certainly not a good choice. I could tell by the look on your face that it wasn’t going well. She is so insensitive. She always wants to talk about herself rather than let you talk. I want to hear you talk about your fashions. But I always enjoy each show him how you style your fashions. I have the new tuxedo jacket and sequin pants and two velvet tops. Thanks for your classic, beautiful designs.

    1. Lynn H

      Carol b,
If you haven’t already done so, you may want to send your comments to QVC via an email under the “Contact Us”, “Emails Us” option that appears at the bottom of most, if not all, of the site’s pages. That is direct and private and won’t be deleted.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol…..we have no choice as to who our hosts will be. Ms. Zell does the overnight and early morning shows….that is her 3 hour slot. I had a terrible night and didn’t get any sleep, ao I really wasn’t on my game or at my best….The room was so dry it made it difficult to breath, and I hate the pillows. I always tell myself I’m bringing my own pillows but what a pain! I enjoy a host who number one shares my twisted sense of humor, and brings intelligence to the conversation and “dance”. It’s no secret who my favorites are, but unfortunately it seems I rarely get to work with them. It’s all about scheduling……I’m happy to hear you are enjoying your clothes. Wear them all in good health……

      1. Nancy

I thought you were wonderful yesterday Louis! When you brought up today’s shocking fashions in magazines with your questions “Who? When? To What?” it made me laugh, and now I understand why I don’t enjoy looking in those magazines any more. Thank you for your beautiful and wearable designs! I look forward to your insights, personality, and future designs, and consider you a national treasure. I agree with others who have assured you that Jac will be with you in spirit over the holidays. All you have to do is think of her, and she is there. Best wishes Louis.

  36. LynnH

I agree with Somersault’s comment about today’s show and have registered by “complaint” with QVC customer service via email. I’ll watch your shows and will order no matter what, but it’s always so much more fun when you’re paired with the “right” host. At least this time she knew how to pronounce Linea.

  37. Somersault

Louis, your presentations this morning were beautiful as always. I am so very sorry that you have a host that was totally insensitive. You are a true gentlemen, I wish you had had Jayne or Antonella or Jill as the host. The one you had is not a good fit. Enjoy Thanksgiving with your brother and thank you for reminding me your famous potatoes are Roasted Rosemary and not mashed as I had written. Big hugs and lots of love, Cat oxoxoxoxo

  38. Sylvia

Hey Louis! You have “hit the ball out of the ball park” this season! So many gorgeous things! I can watch the show tomorrow with no worries about whether or not my clothes and jewelry will be “backordered” or put on “waitlist.” AND, all the new things will already have reviews. I think its a “win-win”. I noticed that the black “faceted and bead chain necklace set” is gone already. glad I You said that the “crystal and pearl earrings and the 8 row simulated pearl crystal necklace” are limited. I’m so glad I got mine ! I can watch the show and enjoy!!! Have a safe trip!

  39. Joanne

    Hi Louis
I think your new suit jacket with matching pants should be charcoal or steel gray, Linea navy blue or expresso brown. Thanks for inquiring.

I purchased both your black w/two pair of pants as well as the mushroom w/two pair of pants. I also purchased the mushroom swing cardigan. I already owned the black swing cardigan. I have traveled for business a lot this fall and your suits have accompanied me with various scarfs, blouses, Linea short sleeve sweaters etc to change them up. On one trip I took the black version as well as the tuxedo jacket, because I had a dressy evening during one of the trips. I paired the tuxedo jacket with a beautiful black lightely beaded Armani camisole that I owned as well as Stuart Weitzman black suede pumps. The eventing tuxedo outfit is so well tailored that everyone commented on my lovely outfit. I looked very slim.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Joanne….slim is good! Unfortunately the suit pant wasn’t reordered, budgets! So I will do the jacket is colors that either there are still pants avail or as a sports jacket with contrast pants

      1. Joanne

        Louis
Too bad QVC does not want to sell jackets with matching pants. I enjoy my ivory suit with 2 pair pants from this past spring as well as the mushroom and black suits. I purchased two pair of pants for all of the ivory, mushroom and black suits.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Joanne, they didn’t reorder the pant because the returns were too high.

      2. Yvonne

Love the idea of scarlet red, royal purple, royal blue.
Is there a possibility of more matching skirts?

  40. Pepper

    Hello Louis
You asked what re-order colors we would like in the super ponte boot cut pants.
I would love to see the scarlet red because you have so many new beautiful upper garments now in that color and the small sizes 2&4 sold out in the first day in the slim cut version. I’m still stalking but no success yet.
    Thank you!

    1. Carol B

      Would love brown, any shade!

  41. Pamela

Thanks Louis. Planning ahead. Side note. Trying on this a.m./ playing with jewelry on the HCG and can’t help but notice how all of your silver pieces which I own, sold out…Etruscan, fish,Cancun,Cozumel,Carnival. Would layer a matte silver fish with this outfit if I had one, or that silver Maltese you teased us with…just sayin’.Have a fabulous sat! Pamela in the SS.

    1. Pamela

Oh, and left out the trapeze, the nouveaux bar station…

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pamela, you may want to consider these: J387825, the Ice Grey pearls set brand new, J354004 the Silver Ox Inca set, or the J354000, the Geometric set. All would look great with HC Grey and all are very different. There will also be more Silver coming for Spring starting in Jan.

  42. Pamela

Hi Louis. Hope the evening finds you cuddled up and cozy with a port. Curious…would the reorder blazer, leather and ponte be for next fall..? 2019.? Thanks. Pamela in the chilly south.

  43. Somersault

Louis, I think your selection of colors for the blazer are perfect! Love the idea of a Royal Purple but thought of a beautiful yellow as well. I have no doubt whatever choice you make, it will be a knockout! I was so excited about your Holiday show on Monday. I decided I was going to get all dressed in Linea and wear your sequin pants, white shirt and black and pearl necklace and some champagne and little bites to celebrate your holiday show in all it’s beauty. Somehow, I thought it was at 6:00pm and not 6:00am! Somehow, I cannot manage champagne at that hour of the morning! Looking forward to seeing you. Have a safe trip! I’m hoping you will spend Thanksgiving with family and share and celebrate all the memories and joys of the many holidays that you and Jac shared. You should make your famous mashed potatoes! We will be thinking of you both on that day of Thanksgiving and will be grateful that you and Jac entered our lives and made a difference and added to it with kindness and joy. Thank you so much for that privilege! oxoxoxoxo Cat

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Somersault, Thank you for your kind words, BTW, my famous potatoes are roasted Rosemary potatoes.

  44. Joanna

Blazer would be stunning in winter white, if it can be done. The leather/knit jacket would be stunning in Sapphire blue. I LOVE the tuxedo jacket – so gorgeous. I could not pass it up. I bought so many of your fall fashions – all so lovely. I just could NOT resist. Will there be any more orders coming in for your ponte pants? Not the slim leg, the regular ones. Thanks for all you do!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Joanne, if you are referring to the BC Super Ponte pant the answer is yes.

  45. Hi Louis,
A343162, Blazer – Scarlet red, YES please.

Short leather jacket – Royal blue ? BTW- I purchased three of the longer leather coats (black, navy and red) and I love them. Smart and comfortable.

My favorite ponte pants are the slim leg. (Although I always had the legs taken in.) You made a comment on one of your shows (paraphrasing) that the ponte pants are stretch and so they should. That comment caused me to order the pants two sizes smaller and now I don’t have to have my pants altered any longer. Picture a very happy face!

Sending lots of good thoughts your way as I’m sure the holidays are very difficult for you.
    Donna

  46. JBCinSD

Colors for the boot cut ponte knit pants: espresso (too little available in dark brown) and deep forest green.

  47. AZ Donna

In case anyone is stalking, the Maltese Cross Set is available, at the moment. I missed this the first time around but was able to get it about two weeks ago; it’s so much better in person! I will get a lot of wear out of these pieces, both individually and together.

  48. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Somehow I had talked myself out of the tuxedo jacket – until the easy pay popped up. Holy Smokes. I closed my eyes as I tried it on and could FEEL how beautiful the cut and fit were. When I opened my eyes I was already smiling. This is a beautifully executed jacket. The easy-pay and the words of other Linea Ladies to the effect that “you may never be able to get a tuxedo jacket of this quality ever again” – finally broke down my resistance. I have purchased SOOO many of your Fall/Winter collection this year, including stunning jewelry pieces and I thought I was “done” for the season. This jacket fits me like a glove, but a stretchy and comfortable one. It instantly shot up there to tie my other all-time favorite Linea Jacket – A 217979 – which I own in the fawn color. I’ve always figured it was the 4 buttons on that jacket that made it so flattering on my hour glass figure. But the new tuxedo flatters my figure in the same way. I love all of the Linea that I own, including others of your blazers, but these two – but for now, the riding jacket and this new tuxedo jacket, are the most flattering that I own. That you for the perfection!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy……I’m sure there are many women like you who are on the fence about the Tuxedo jacket……but once you pull the trigger and get it home you realize what a huge mistake it would have been to let this once in a life time beauty slip through your fingers. I doubt, even if it sells out, that it will be reordered. The budgets are so tight this may go in favor of something else. I’m happy you got it.

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Thank you SO much Louis. Other items I pulled the trigger on and am loving are the sequin pants, the black tassel necklace (and oh how I like the look and feel of that gorgeous pearl and jet bracelet! and got the lovely earrings), the blackened floral print skirts, the leather big deal in port, one of the last wine leather jackets with the center back racing stripe. If I keep on reclaiming my youth with your fantastic designs, I’m going to end up “younger” than my first baby GREAT granddaughter 🙂

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hey….ya gotta look good and show them how it’s done! Be their teacher so they grow up knowing what class is about…..a true mentor!

  49. Carolyn

A343162/blazer: petite sizing OR measure HPS to middle button 16” or max 17” (I ordered 3 and each measured 18” so had to return), A297864/no suggestion .. A268226/ponte boot cut: a clear red/scarlet, a blue that would work with a medium denim shirt or khaki shirt, a rich but not too saturated lemon, and bring back smoke/grey and dark olive. Thank you for asking.

    1. Carolyn

After thinking about it / additional – blue ponte that would work with a medium denim shirt, a classic style, or khaki shirt in a safari style. And a lemon ponte in a saturated lemon but not bright.. The truth is – whatever you make, I would wear and enjoy.

  50. Rita

    Hi Louis,
I would gladly buy a pair of boot cut super ponte in the color ‘brown’.
I have black, grey, olive, taupe, alabaster, dark green, and blue already and I absolutely LOVE these pants!
I have a lot of your clothes but the pointe is my favorite!
Thank you for your wonderful clothes!
    Rita

  51. DEBORAH

Louis, I figure your 2019 line is already finished and ordered. I’d like to put in a request for 2020. I ordered A302557 in all the colors that worked for me – and when it went on clearance recently ordered my third black and doubled on colors! I know it won’t be reordered, but would like to tell you what would be my dream moss crepe top. I’d like to see one tunic length like A302557, but not the asymmetrical hem – one with a straight hem with nice deep side slits. I’d like it to be V-neck like the A302557, but I’d like it to have bracelet length sleeves. For body fit, if it were just like the whisper knit with side slits tunic (A295878) that would make it the perfect moss crepe tunic. If you think that wouldn’t work with the moss crepe, a bit of an A-line can be added to get drape, but not a lot. That would be my dream moss crepe tunic!

BTW, I’m loving my faux suede pants. I sure hope those get reordered in more colors. That is one that would be a knockout in port. Do you think these can be looped over pants hangers, or do you feel they need to be folded on shelves?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Deborah….I think I have something like what you requested coming for late 2019, July or August. I hang my pants on a regular pant hanger. They are more like the super ponte fabric than the whisper knit pant, which I would never hang.

      1. Deborah

Thank you, Louis. I have marked my Linea calendar for new moss crepe – possibly my dream tunic – for that time. Yes, of course, I keep a separate Linea calendar in my Google cal.

  52. Pamela DiMarino

Good morning, Louis! Your tuxedo jacket and sequin pants are spectacular! I have short arms and, although the sleeves are not excessively long, I am debating whether to have them shortened. Would you please tell me where the sleeve should properly end? Should it end at the wrist bone? As always, thank you for your incredible designs, and for taking such a personal interest in your clientele. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you approach the holidays without your beloved Jac.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pamela, thank you for your prayers. I appreciate them very much. I do not like jackets to end at the wrist bone. I think it’s too short. I have found after you wear a jacket and clean a jacket the sleeves can become a little shorter just from bending your arm. I always like the sleeve to come half way between the top of the thumb bone and the wrist, but you have to feel comfortable with it.

      1. Pamela DiMarino

Dear Louis, you never cease to amaze me with your warmth and responsiveness! I can’t believe that you replied so quickly to share your fashion wisdom! You have truly improved my lifestyle and my confidence level. Now I know that my gorgeous tuxedo jacket won’t need to be altered! Thanks, love, prayers and blessings to you!

  53. Carolyn

It has been great fun wearing my various leather/knit jackets. They have been paired with a corresponding color of ponte skim leg and an ankle boot or my ballet flats. The weatherman has predicted cooler weather next week (Houston) and I’m excited! Thank you Louis. And with deep gratitude for those who serve our blessed country and its citizens.

    1. Bernadette

      Hi Carolyn!

I’m in Houston too and excited about the cooler weather!!! I wonder how many whisper knits I can wear in one week!!! Maybe multiple changes during the day!?!?! Back to 80 degrees thanksgiving week. 🙁

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Bernadette, come up north. It snowed in northern PA. You won’t have to wonder if you should be wearing W Knits LOL

        1. Bernadette

Lol. I used to live in PA. I do miss it, especially the autumn and all its glorious color. Just not the part of being snowed in for days at a time!

          1. Carolyn

Bernadette – so when I see a head-to-toe dressed “Louis”, I’ll know it’s you and say hello! Ha! Take care.

  54. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

Will the green grass carnival necklace work with the malachite v neck whisper knit sweater?

    Happy Veterans Day to you!

    Bernadette

    1. Pamela

And Happy Veterans Day Louis! And to all who served us. Much love and prayers !!! Pamela in the SS.

  56. Terri

    Good morning Louis!

Was there ever a magenta color in our Linea turtlenecks? I have the fuschia in my collection, but to my eye it is not really tonal with our wonderful dark magenta lamb leather jacket. Is magenta a possibility for next year? Your classic navy would be great as well.
All the best to you! Many thanks for all you do for us!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Terri….there was a magenta many moons ago. If they reorder the TN and the magenta leather I will try to do the magenta, but they bring in so few new colors I don’t know if I will be able to.

  57. Pratt

Pearl sweaters – beauuuuutiful.. couldn’t stop with one, hot three. The black beads and pearl necklace – just stunning.
And the velvet tops – wasn’t sure how the non black colors would look, but they are just gorgeous. Light in weight and the ruffle bottom is very flattering. Red velvet instantly makes the look festive. Torsade necklaces are too perfect with these tops. Can’t thank you enough 🙂 I m more than ready for all the holiday parties.

Loved all your sneak peeks in the Thursday’s show. Can’t wait to see your spring sneak peeks.
Have a happy and blessed holiday season.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pratt…..I am really very happy you loved everything you mentioned! After all the work and months of developing these items it is very gratifying to hear the work has made you happy. In the end that’s what it is all about.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Marta, thank you so much for finding this and sharing it with me. Jac was so beautiful!!!!!! I loved just hearing her voice. It made me cry tears of joy to hear her sweet voice again. It’s almost been a year, and it’s so hard to hear her.

    2. Dawn

Jac was such a beautiful woman. She certainly could pull off a short hairstyle

    3. Joyce Adams

Marta, thank you for sharing the you tube video. I never missed an episode of Style with Elsa Klensch, and miss her and the show to this day. Wow, Jac was gorgeous and Louis so handsome. Wonderful clip.

    4. Frieda

Thanks for showing us the link Marta. I remember watching Elsa Klensch, and wondered what happened to it. It was great to see Louis and Jac.

  58. Kob21

    Hello Louis,
I am relatively new to your Linea line on QVC and am enjoying the quality, versatility and clean lines of your designs. My favorite purchases in 2018 are your silver fish pendant, navy tie dye boho skirt and black lamb leather / ponte sleeved front zip jacket. (I obviously don’t wear all three these pieces together!) I also have three of your long sleeved wing collar blouses and love the slim fit and tuckability. It’s challenging to find good basics — and I have this blouse in white. I had been hunting for a fresh white non-tunic, long sleeved white blouse for months! Anyway — I watched your two hour QVC show on Thursday night and enjoyed seeing how you styled the models with a mix of vintage and newer pieces, along with your jewelry. You made a comment that “it’s easy to find a black leather belt.” I must take issue with this — no it’s not! Would you consider adding belts to your offerings?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kob21, I would love to broaden the accessory line, but my buyer has no budget for it. I bought many belts on ebay. There are different sites that have different belt selections. Have you tried searching for “Designer Belts”.

      1. kbowes@uwm.edu

Thank you for the eBay tip, Louis! I discovered many options there. I find it curious that QVC currently only has 19 women’s belts available — one of which doesn’t include the required buckle! I “tuck in” rather regularly and do have some lovely belts but am looking for some fresh updates. I know your belt designs would be lovely — and offered in multiple hardware color options, as is your jewelry. I stick to silver, gunmetal and black metallics and 16 of the 18 of QVC’s Kcurrent “buckle included” listings are shiny gold. Sad that there is no budget … Seems like an untapped market.

  59. Karen in WI

Good morning Louis! Stayed up late to watch your show. It was a lovely show, as usual, and I assume the pearl sweater and necklace are being kept for the upcoming holiday show. It was nice to see Jennifer in the sweater and it looked so good on her. I was thinking of your trip back and hope that you stayed over and are driving back this morning. I always send a prayer for safe travels! It is a beautiful, snowy winter wonderland with flakes gently falling as I drink my morning coffee.

I also meant to tell you that I hope you will continue to have some of the heavy weight every-needle-rib whisper knit items in the future. I know a lot of more southern ladies enjoy the lighter one, but us northern girls can use the heavy weight WK for over 6 months of the year! I will buy both, of course. Love and hugs to you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Karen, I did stay over. By the time Jen and I packed up and loaded the car, and finished talking with the girls it was almost 12:45. it was way too late to even think about driving home. I met Angela and her wonderful husband Billy for breakfast at a place called “The Classic” it’s a great little restaurant….very well know in Frazier, PA. They serve breakfast and lunch and then close for the day. Lots of college students work there. It’s nice to see these young people starting out. I will keep in mind the heavier weight. I can say there aren’t any planned for next fall.

  60. Pamela

Louis, don’t stress, I think SALE is temporary, not like clearance which means no more. I think…? Pamela in the SS

    1. Melissa W

I’m not sure if you’re referring to a particular item, but I hope you’re right. When I saw the WK dress on sale , I thought “oh no!” That is an item I hoped would come back in more colors. It’s the perfect dress!

      1. Pratt

I agree! It’s a dress that feels like I have nothing on, if you know what I mean 😊 would love more colors in it.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Pamela, I checked with my buyer and you are right. A “clearance” item is finished, no possibility as a reorder as is, but a “sale” item can still be a reorder item, but honestly so far none of them are, and usually they don’t carry it over for another year…….but I have learned to never say never!

  61. Joey A

    Hello again,
I would love to be able to send you a picture of the tag inside the jacket so you could see them model and size Etc.
    Thx again

  62. Joey A

    Hello Louis,
I found a great 100 % wool suit, made in Italy,of your by chance in Syms which is OOB. Please get back to me and tell me where I can find another one of these suits thanks much.
    Joey A

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joey, when Mr. Syms passed away the clothing line ended because the stores closed. I never did men’s wear for anyone else

      1. Joey A

Thanks for the reply Louis. I used to do alot of shopping at Syms .I would look forward to you doing menswear once again in the future. The suit I have is really really great.
        Thanks again

  63. Dawn

    Hi Louis

I counted each strand of the torsade black beads. Each intact strand (3) had 31 jet beads and 6 fireballs. There were 32 loose jet beads and 6 fireballs in the tissue paper. I keep all my receipts and boxes in a Rubbermaid container in case I ever need proof of purchase for repair service. I store the organza bags with descriptions in small plastic boxes in my walk-in.

    Thanks for all you do!

    Dawn

  64. Dawn

    Hi Louis!

Today my order of the pearl necklaces arrived. I chose the Lilac and the Grey. I had to bring them to the window to look at the colors since they are similar. I think these will look great together. The pearl & jet bead necklace also arrived. I had requested you do more of the smaller jet crystals and did not realize that this necklace contained the smaller jet beads; I’m thrilled. Now for some sad news… The jet 4 strand torsade arrived damaged. One of the rows was broken in half. Good thing I saw the beads rolling around in the tissue paper otherwise I would have been chasing beads around the kitchen floor. It’s odd that the free beads were not the same count as each row; IE: 32. I promptly called and reordered the torsade and will deal with the refund later. I packed the loose beads in a separate ziplock snack baggie and sent the whole package back to the Q. I’m sure that it can be repaired by your manufacturer. Now I can sit back and watch the show.

    Thanks for all you do!

    Dawn

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dawn, glad to hear you like the jewelry! Sorry to hear about the broken necklace! Each row is a different length so there should be an uneven number of beads for each row. Qvc will not send it back to be fixed. I’m not sure what happens to them? If anything like that should happen again I would recommend sending it to my manufacturer if you wouldn’t mind. I believe they do a better job. I have no proof of this, but I’ve never heard of any complaints about any necklaces they have restrung.
