I, too, want to sing my praises for the floral ruffle blouses. They are even better than they look in pictures and on television. I got the red and blue ones–like others, it was hard to decide. They are perfection. I love the fabric, fit and fashion of them. I know these are going to be some of my Linea go-tos. I added the crystal and colored bead set in blue to go with the blouse.
I also got the 3/4 sleeve windowpane with the sleeve applique. It, too, has wonderful fabric and such a nice fit. I plan on wearing it as a blouse in the spring and summer months. I can’t wait for further spring items to appear. It looks like it’s going to be another bountiful season of your fashion.
By the way, thanks for making both items without stretch. They really fit much better on me.
Louis, your lovely note touched my heart when I returned last night from an extended business trip. You and Jac have been a blessing in so many ways, and we’re all so grateful for the ways you continue to share yourself and your gifts with us.

I’m in a learning curve. Prior to discovering you, my clothes were high quality but as a wardrobe they failed causing me to always struggle. Linea has caused a major shift to my closet. I am beginning to be able to reach in and pull comfortable, easy, great quality, awesome tailoring, etc from my closet with ease. Pieces actually work together. One change is that I no longer have to hang things as “outfits”. I thank you so much.
I’m also learning from your other Linea ladies. Their comments about their own wardrobes, how they assemble an outfit, that prior seasons work with now, etc have been enormously helpful. So, thank you for this comments section. Much love and thanks to all.

I have to rave about the new floral blouses. It was a tough choice but I ended up with the red and emerald. Gorgeous rich colors, beautiful style. Love!!!
I also love the elbow length sweater. I got three colors and hope it comes back in more. Definitely an essential! Missed out on the long cardigan in grey, my size sold out quickly but I’m stalking it.
I got the new v-neck in black and love the fit and details.

Dear Melissa continue to stalk….there is always someone you will return do to one reason or another. Please let the women on the forum know your feelings about what you purchased. There were a lot of negative remarks about the floral blouse before I even showed it!

I just posted my review on the Q’s site and on the forum. To me this is a wow blouse. The blouse and blazer on Jayne looked stunning. She is the reason I bought the ivory blazer. Then when Brenda came out in the green I knew I needed that in addition to the red I initially decide upon.

Dear Mary, the situation has been cleared up….It seems it was that PROP 65 thing that I never understood in the first place. Just something to vex Californians LOL. The thing I can’t believe is this skort is well over a year old and no one has mentioned this before so anyone from CA has been refused shipment! But PROP 65 isn’t that old. I was told it is all cleared up and you shouldn’t have a problem ordering it….If you still want to order let me know how it goes….I happens to be a terrific skirt/skort!

Hi Louis, I just left reviews for both the long sleeve and elbow sleeve sweaters in sapphire along with the window pane jacket. All three are perfect. You are so correct about shopping my closet. As soon as I went to put away my sweaters out jumped the missoni inspired skirt from a few years back in black, white and sapphire. The sweaters match perfectly.
Ginny that’s great! I don’t have those samples anymore so I would have never caught that.
Will there be a Sapphire skirt showing up in your Spring or Fall collections? (Of course I am hoping that there will be one in Whisper Knit because when you did your jewel tone collection about five years ago, the boucle jackets all had coordinating WK skirts except for the Blue.)

Please leave your reviews so others will here your comments….There will not be any sapphire skirts, and there aren’t any WK skirts planned either. Since the last WK skirt went to clearance and did not preform well, the buyer doesn’t want any more WK skirts……it would be a tough sell for me to convince her.The additional sapphire top is a print in black white and sapphire coming later in the season.
What can I say, Louis? I’m thunderstruck — no more Whisper Knit skirts. I’m relieved that I bought doubles of the Port and Navy skirts and all tops, but I am uneasy about never having a WK skirt again. This is disheartening news.
In a world where some of the best-paid among us venture out in comfy clothing that suggests bedtime and wear fuzzy slippers on their feet, I shouldn’t be surprised. I was concerned when I saw that most of the items I bought instantly for fear of missing out went to clearance very quickly. (Shaking my head here.)

I have WK skirts that I’ve had for a decade, and they look like new. Granted, I’m not hard on my clothes and I’m a meticulous laundress, but I think you can count on those skirts to last you a good long while. One thing is certain, Louis will have something you love just as much to take your mind off that skirt. He always does
Just FYI Louis the pencil whisper knit skirts that haven’t sold are in larger sizes. No skirts are available to buy in smaller sizes (including medium) in regular or petite. Perhaps the buyer should know that so that more of them skirts can be offered in the future to those who love them and buy multiples.

Nancy, in all honesty they sold when the skirt went on clearance.You can see how almost all colors and sizes are still avail in the new Ponte pull-on pencil skirt, A347449. It’s a terrific skirt, and the ivory isn’t see through.It’s a fabric everyone loves and is in the same fabric as the Blazer the new pant and the reorder crop Ponte pant. There seems to be a minority who want a pencil skirt, even though there was a successful WK skirt in the past.
It can’t be, no more whisper knit skirts!! They are a beloved part of an essential collection in anyones closet who wears skirts, What are they thinking, we need more!! They fit well ,wear well and look gorgeous!!!

I don’t understand why the Whisper Knit Skirts – and Pants – have not been successful! I absolutely LOVE them both -Thank goodness I bought many multiples when these items were available! Have said many times, I could live in Whisper Knit all year round!

Like you, every since Whisper Knit skirts were introduced, I have bought multiples in each color. Before WK skirts were introduced, we had Linea knit skirts, and I have those, too.
Whenever there was a coordinating WK top to go with a skirt, I invested in multiples in those. I could not agree more that WK skirts et al. wear extremely well — and the colors are so deeply saturated.
Glad I made a heavy investment in the pieces that grabbed my heart.
Very disappointing that this chapter of WK skirts is now closed.
Never closed Goldie as I always feel strongly about WK skirts, but with the poor selling of the last WK skirt, which I convinced them to buy in Reg. and petite, and the poor selling of the new Ponte pencil skirt…..it will be a tough mountain to climb to convince them to buy this style again!
Seka I am as bewildered as you! I have done these pants and skirts many many times on A Klein, even in cashmere knit, and believe me they the WK wears a lot better. Even Halston in the 70s and 80s did knit “sweater” jersey pants to go with other jersey separates. They are classic. A lot of women don’t get any kind of sweater knit as a bottom…..St. John made a business out of it…Of course their knits were like iron….LOL
I’m also a fan of the WK pants and skirts, especially the midi length, which is almost sold out! I have many of the WK pencil skirts–glad I snapped them up– but sure wish we could get more midi length skirts. So versatile and it’s all I’ve been wearing this season with black boots. Louis, is there any chance the buyers will consider the WK midi length, since they seem to be very popular?
Grace the midi skirt sold well and should be reordered but who knows these days with budgets.

The Scarlet Red Blazer isn’t due until Sept or Oct.. I did watches but they didn’t sell well. My buyer has no interest in buying watches as in general they haven preformed.

I have somewhat of a tale of woe. My housekeeper saw my new long red coat and was completely drooling over it. She is in her 80’s with a disabled husband and works her tail off to keep them both fed. Never in a million years could she afford that red coat. So – I bought her one for Christmas, guessing her size. I guessed wrong, sent it back and was lucky to find the next size up still available. It came yesterday, and it is missing its belt (yes, the epaulettes are there!). Is there any way to obtain a red belt (size 14)? I hate to send this back as there are none left now. She was so excited to receive it and then so disappointed when it did not fit. I cannot bear to disappoint this sweet lady again.

So sorry to bother you, but I just received my tuxedo jacket (ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!!!!!) and I have one small question. Was there supposed to be a spare button included with the jacket? Because they are satin, I expected to receive one. Since you never know with the Q, perhaps I’m mistaken. Should, God forbid, I loose one, is there a way to get another? The show was outstanding, as always, on Monday and I am in shock that my entire order came today via UPS. Unfortunately, the navy blazer that I ordered was wrapped up in a three-fold that turned the entire jacket into a giant wrinkled mess. I will be telling QVC about it, but the blazer will be mine. Thank you again for your wonderful clothes. They always make me feel confident and beautiful.

As usual, your shows blew up my shopping cart! I was not going to get the windowpane pants, until I saw the presentation. I loved them with the white lace tunic…and when you started talking about the silk windowpane shirts, I remembered that I have a white with black stripes and a black with white stripes. (Maybe the white is navy stripes–hard to tell) I’m going to try to pair up one of those with the crops. I also have the little ruffled front georgette blouse with the puff sleeves (another oldie but goody) and the silk blouse that went with the black and white floral suit (that also came in green). I’m not a very black and white girl, but those crops looked adorable on the models. And it appears I have lots of cute blouses to go with them.
Dear Carol, when warmer weather comes around I think you are really going to enjoy wearing these crop pants with pretty sandals and a nice pedicure. Also try different color tees too. You should look at my classic tee and my vee neck tee colors. They would all look pretty with the window pane pant and some fun necklaces. My new Fantasy white fish will be a lot of fun.

The show with Jayne was great. I just got done re-watching it. You had a lot of tips, sound advice and stories. You even wore a tie to coordinate with the show. I have a black & white polka dot ruffled front sleeveless blouse that I will pair with the ivory blazer. You said to mix if the colors are the same. I see IHG with perfectly pink or pale yellow too.
Enjoyed seeing the lace tunic with the WP applique crops. That visual helped to see the proportions of the tunic with the leg width of the crop. I eagerly wait for the packages to arrive.

I have been trying to find you for decades. Too long a story. When I was young you designed a black,sheath,crocheted,beadeddress, for Anne Klein. It is the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. I have tried so many years to get it. Tyra Banks wore it in a magazine. I have screen shots of it. I know it’s a long shot, the longest shot, but I have to try. Is it possible that there might be photos of it in it’s entirety? Or a pattern or drawings? I have wanted this dress since I saw it in the magazine. I just couldn’t afford $595. back then. Now either really. There were several pictures in the magazine of the model in it. I loaned them to a friend who said she could make me the dress and she lost them. Broke my heart. The posts are still there you just have to click on the “older” word to bring you back to older posts…..they never go away. If you type in the search bar “Fantasy Fish” they may come up sooner……I have zero idea when they will be posted on the Q. 95% of my jewelry is “Buy Anytime” meaning you order these items on line only. If it doesn’t get air time it goes to the back of the line to get posted. Air time products get priority so I never know when they will be posted. You usually know before me! LOL

Dear Shelia….I have ordered a few to see what works best. Now i have to wait to see what comes in from the order. Many times I get half, if that many, of what I order and the pickins are slim!!!!! When in doubt I order a gold or silver sandal or mule to go with the jewelry. There is a fabulous blue suede mule from M Fisher with tubular straps, but I can’t tell from the pics if the color is right. There are many sandals, mules and slides that are avail on QVC, but not to me because they are drop ship…..meaning when the order comes in the manufacturer ships them directly. M Fisher, Roberto Sarto, Isaac,Gili, Halston, Vince Camuto, Gentle Souls to name a few all have interesting things. There are others that I don’t even look at because they aren’t avail to me. You have to do what I do and go through each vendor….type in either sandal or wedges and see what comes up…..You can even click on a specific color……Airosoles {SP} has some cute black slides with flowers [I can’t order them] that would be perfect with the whole black.white group and florals and I order a platform mule with little black flowers don’t remember from who…..For the Sapphire it will be next to impossible to find a match so I would go with a fun color sandal like red or yellow or white to coordinate to the Fantasy Fish for example. I love Black patent sandals or slides with it and the metallics……..Just start searching the different vendors and you will get a million ideas……don’t count our color for a fun look. If you wear a white top with the sapphire pant you can wear any fun color shoe….or even a color tee with a third color sandal……just pull it together with jewelry or a bag!……play play play!

The next time you design any of your garments with bell sleeves or flutter sleeves please, please consider doing 3/4 length sleeves. Item number A294604 is the best blouse I have ever purchased in my life. Last weekend I went to Lord and Taylor trying to find anything that would come near this blouse. Nothing can compare to you or the quality of your garments.I gave up and came home. I would purchase EVERY bell sleeve blouse you make except for the fact they are too long. So please think of the ladies with the short arms the next time you design any bell sleeve garments! Thank you. Happy New Year!

I’m loving my fall purchases and have been fielding many compliments thanks to your clothing line.
I especially get compliments on the suede pants- I love them and the jeans-love pockets and fit and length work well for my 5’7” frame.
I also enjoy the A298446 pants and purchased all three colors. I was surprised they are on clearance, and am thinking of purchasing a couple more pairs. Issue with the search return on QVC site. I wear a 12/M and when I use the size to search the pant does not show. I’m also selecting pants.
I’m wondering if this error is damaging your sales due to the return fault. Perhaps you could alert QVC to correct.
I like these pants and especially the inseam of 30”- just would like some pockets like in suede pant.

Today’s Q lunchtime special includes A293746, a whisper knit sleeveless turtleneck in pale celadon. I tend to stay away from turtlenecks, but that celadon color is beautiful.

Candice Bergen at the Golden Globes was wearing a beautiful black sequined tuxedo jacket with black pants, tank and a cascade of white pearl necklaces. She looked stunning and elegant, among so many who did not. I’m curious to know the designer (Armani, maybe?), but that look was pure Louis. The tuxedo jacket looked just like yours, except that it had the sequins, which were tiny and understated, like your pant. As you always tell us, tuxedo jackets are timeless, and for women of all ages, a knockout look. I wore my Linea tuxedo jacket and sequined pants on NYE and felt amazing in it. Compliments galore. So glad you were able to convince QVC to do one. I’ll be wearing and loving it for years to come. And, In the unlikely event that I get invited to the Golden Globes, or some equally fancy event, I’ll know what to wear!
Grace it could very well have been an Armani as CB has been known to wear Armani, but the stylist pull things from everywhere so it could have been any designer. I’m sure it was in the $3000 range. Sequin blazers are difficult to make. I have made them in the past, and to do them well they have to be hand emb. especially near the seams and darts.
Thanks, Louis. Had no idea a sequined tuxedo jacket could be so expensive, but it makes sense with the workmanship involved. Just stunning! But, for the average woman, impractical for more than a fancy event. Even if I could afford one, I prefer my non-sequined version!

Louis, I love the pearl sweater in lilac and it’s one of my favorite Linea sweaters of all time (along with the forest green embroidery sleeve sweater I got too). I ordered the lilac pearl and glass bead necklace to go with it, but they sent me the pink. I am on waitlist for the lilac and was wondering if this necklace was going to be reordered? It sold out so quickly.
In the meantime, I think I am keeping the nude pink as it goes unbelievably well with all the brown colors I wear in fall/winter. And winter white and navy too!

For New Years Eve I wore your Linea tuxedo jacket with the Linea black sequin pants, Black matte silk camisole, black suede Stuart Weitzman Pumps. What a great outfit! I am not heavy, but the outfit was particularly flattering and slimming.

Since you are on a roll with the new sneek peeks I’d like to make 2 requests for the future seasons:
1) A tribal fish (skeleton) print maxi dress, tunic or pants. I love your tie dye tunics and to me they look very ethnic and tribal. Your fish necklaces would look fabulous with any rendition you choose; fingers crossed.
2) A tunic/sweater with monocromatic heat set crystals/rhinestones in a spray pattern along the neckline. I saw a black top with black crystals/rhinestones in a size I couldn’t wear and have been on a search for one like that. The stones were very small, sparkly, but subtle.

Wore witk wk tank and long cardigan of scarlet…so many compliments. Also have knit leaather big deal. Will there be any transition pieces in scarlet for us here in south? I was surprised that the Linea Regular(A298446) and Petite(A298447)Super Ponte Slim Leg pants have been placed on clearance. Were they not good sellers? These are my favorite pants from your collection. I own many pair in the woven as well as the super ponte iteration. They are so slimming and flattering. Will you be replacing these pants with another slim version in the future.
These are my favorite also. I have every color that has been offered, multiple in black.

I’ve been following your story online and wanted to drop you a line to let you know that the manner in which you have pushed through your sorrow and loss has certainly served as a beacon of hope to those of us in similar circumstances. While it is so much easier to wallow in pain and shut ourselves off from the world, you have demonstrated that we need to honor those we have lost by persevering through our pain and living each day as best we can. Although it is by no means easy, we need to be mindful that this is what our loved ones would want for us – not to curl up in a fetal position and waste each God-given blessing of a new day. Thank you for sharing your personal feelings with us. It has helped in countless ways.
Louis, first of all Happy New Year. In reading about your love for Jac I feel so many emotions. I understand on a visceral leva as all my close family members are gone. While each passing was traumatic, eventually the pain got better. It didn’t disappear, mind you, but the pain became easier to bear. It is way too early for you to feel anything but sorrow, so my advice is to NOT be brave or philosophical. Give in to it and allow yourself to feel whatever is in your heart and soul. That way lies recovery.
I have a question: would you consider making an ivory tuxedo jacket? Maybe shawl collared, with co-ordinating trousers? I see it so clearly in my mind. I’m crazy about the black tuxedo! So chic and elegant. I think an ivory version would just be stunning! Imagine an ivory jacket worn with either co-ordinating trousers OR a long fitted skirt worn by a modern bride for her wedding!
Let me thank you for your beautiful designs. For most of my life, I was a “fashion plate”. I had enough clothes and shoes to start my own store. I was thin and pretty and I kind of took for granted that I always would be. Well reality, loss, weight gain and age collectively slapped me upside the head. I was so affected, that I gave up even trying to look presentable. Your elegant clothes, which I have been buying like mad, have given me my life back. As far as I’m concerned, there is no other designer who so completely understands how a modern woman wants to look. Too many other designers evidently think that women want to look like gypsy clowns. But you are the one who gets it right. From the very bottom of my bruised little heart, I thank you.

If I could change just one woman’s life by making her feel better than I have accomplished what I have worked all my life for. Louis, My thoughts and prayers have been with you for this Christmas. It is incredibly hard to continue in this world without the person that you love but always know that they are there with you and will make their presence known when you need them. Though I did not know Jac personally, she was beautiful outside and inside because that always shows through In a person. This has been a hard year for me as well since I lost my dad and I felt like you about not doing anything for Christmas. But my dad loved the lights and everything decorated so I got myself up and decorated my house As he would’ve liked. Hi Louis. I have your fish necklace in black and green patina, and love them both. Today I received the gold and it is just beyond belief! I was hesitant to order because I had the other two but, it’s a gorgeous piece. Now I see why everyone loved it and it was reordered! It just goes to show that having a piece in one color doesn’t mean you don’t need it in other colors! Thank you for all your hard work,and gorgeous designs!
