I am looking forward to wearing both with the navy ponte suit I purchased from you a couple of months ago. Hi Louis,
If you feel as satisfied after your shows yesterday as I do after receiving three Linea pieces today, you are one contented man. The verdigris jewelry, the black Wsweater with elbow length sleeves and the especially the blue stripe gondolier blouse are more than I had hoped for. The blouse had me oohing and awing to myself. The fabric is everything you said it is and more. Feels wonderful and looks great no matter what you do with it: fully buttoned, fully open over a tank, sleeves down or rolled up, under Linea pieces like the white zippered vest or the bright yellow jean jacket. Under a dark indigo jean jacket, or tied in front at the waist. This is a classy piece, understated but with perfectly chosen details. Beachy jewelry goes well as does the verdigris necklace.
I went for the verdigris as soon as I saw your preview. The coloration is wonderful, with highs and lows, looks weighty but somehow isn’t, you can barely feel the chain. I had to get the black sweater as a perfect backdrop.
A lovely way to celebrate the first day of Spring. I ordered the white lace blouse, but when I saw the blue and they were on easy pay, I went for it. “I owe my soul to the company store.”

Great shows today. I loved the Honey Berber necklace which Maria wore with the Exotic Floral Printed Top. Very reminiscent of the old African Amber beads which were made in Germany in the early 20th century and traded in Africa. They were highly prized by North African tribal people and have become increasingly rare. Wonderful look!

I have one of those necklaces, Ruth, a birthday gift from 2 of my girlfriends many years ago, and it is one of my prized possessions. I had no idea the amber beads were made in Germany. Thanks for that interesting bit of info.

I received the VooDoo necklace and I love it. My favorite stone is the feather. I love to look at it and I love to touch it. I am a matchy matchy person so I need help out of my matchy matchy box. All I can think of is all black, not that that is a bad thing, but spring is coming. Are you going to style it for us?
It isn’t scripted in the show, but I am using it on a black top and new soft zip front ivory crop pants…..also with one of the Wild Flower prints. Try it with whatever you have in Turquoise and or red. You just have to put in on things you have and play….that’s what I do.

Louis! I’m beyond happy with the lace pants in both the indigo and the boysenberry. I hope no one avoids them because they are afraid they are too dressy. These are the ultimate resort wear, pool party, summer concert pants.

The new gondolier shirt in pink – oh my God! The fabric is just beyond words! Love the weight and feel of it. Though I read your description about it, and saw the fabric content I hadn’t imagined it to be this silky and soft and yet weighty enough to lay well. I was mostly imagining the shirt to be like the other striped mandarin collar one. Can we please have more tops in this fabric plz?

Dear Pratt, so happy you love the Gondolier shirt. I wanted it to be breezy and light, while the other stripe shirt has more structure, like a cotton, but silkier, softer and no wrinkles. I know there are women who refuse to buy polyester, but they are truly missing out. Polyester has been developed in many new ways. You find the yarn on designer lines, because in all its’ different variations, it can be more versatile than a natural fiber….I purposely wanted the lace to be a little on the stiff side because I didn’t want a mushy jacket. When you wash them they will soften a little…..I’m thrilled to hear you love the lace pants, There are so MANY ways to wear them….I don’t have enough models to show all the variations. Try the ivory lace pant with a black sweater like my elbow sleeve scoop neck WK. It is SO CHIC!!!! Add and jewelry you want. My pink Botanical print scarf looks fantastic with this look. Then the ivory blazer with the same sweater in ivory with the lace pant [in any color like Indigo] is another totally different look. I could go on and on and on. Sheila asked me about wearing the ivory lace for the winter Holidays with an ivory cowl sweater….winter princess….you know that will look fantastic. I also tried the ivory pant with the ivory WK sweater and the long ivory WK cardigan…..OMG it’s gorgeous. I have to stop!

Louis, I just wanted to share that every St Patrick’s Day I wear a Kelly green hip-length sweater coat from your collection many years ago. I also have the black, red and blue ones. I believe they areEnglish rib knit and have gorgeous chunky gold buttons. I reach for these sweaters often and they still look like new. Do you remember them? Especially the green on St Patrick’s Day is my favorite. I just love my vintage Linea as well as the new.
Dear Joyce, I remember them well. That was quite a few years ago. I don’t remember if the rib went horizontal, an Ottoman rib or the vertical English rib? I did both with gold buttons. Happy St Patty’s Day to you!
Louis, my sweaters are ottoman knit. I have a wine colored sweater, different style, that I remember was an English rib. Love that one too! It is amazing how well made these items are. They seriously show no wear after all these years!

I have that sweater in black and it’s a go-to still. I love the shape of that sweater because it fits over whatever else you have on underneath without looking oversized. I cannot even imagine what that would cost to make now.

I just received 3 emails claiming delayed shipping. All 3 items are Linea Indigo items. Is anyone else experiencing this sit?
I was notified of delayed shipping too. It for Logo and Women in Control. My Linea necklace shipped. So it must be isolated to a specific warehouse or location.
I think the delays are due to the “cyclone” storms. Our airport in Denver was shutdown for 24 hours.

Confession: I had convinced myself I didn’t need the Egyptian set. Today, we went to the Egypt’s Sunken Cities (Thonis-Heracleion) exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts–amazing items uncovered by a years long underwater dig from huge statuary and stele to tiny, beautiful gold coins. You know where I’m going here–walked in the house, went to my iPad and ordered the gold Egyptian set. Guess the ‘gods’ just wanted me to have it, smile.
I wonder if the exhibit will come to NYC? Were there any verdigris pieces. I know with ancient Greece and Rome many pieces of statuary that were under the sea had turned this beautiful color when they were brought to the surface
I couldn’t find any info about upcoming tour cities–only “currently touring the USA” (been in Paris, London, Zurich, St. Louis and now Minneapolis through April 14). I should think it would certainly come to NYC or somewhere on the East Coast! The bronze verdigris items I can recall: hand mirror, oil lamps, small statuary, ritual ladles and bowls, a headpiece and a small box. The exhibit is organized by the Institute for Underwater Archaeology and the Ministry of Antiquities in Egypt. Franck Goddio led the dig, curated the exhibit and heads the Institute. Full title is: ‘Osiris Egypt’s Sunken Mysteries’ but they seem to vary it slightly depending upon the city. Website is http://www.franckgoddio.org. Hope that helps!

Louis, I know I am probably asking for something as insane as demanding QVC sell Gucci, but I am asking you, if you could coerce QVC into allowing you to do a pearl jacket, similar to the one you did a few years ago. If for spring, in a more cotton-poly fabric, whatever. I have seen a KL recently similar in design and yet not as beautiful as yours. I am giving all my clothes away due to weight loss second to illness. I am almost in tears seeing my pretty pearl jackets. However, I am happy to know Red Cross is sending them to tornado victims.
Not an easy task as this type of jacket will be very expensive to make it look good and not skimpy.

A for a few years you made some wonderful cotton prints for spring and summer. Although I have several pieces in your crepe fabrics, and like them, I wish you would consider making more cotton things for spring 2020. Perhaps it is b/c I remember the launch of Sputnik, cotton clothing means spring and summer.
KathyJ…I loved those pieces. I even did some in a shirting weight that I thought was perfect for the heat of the summer, but honestly none did well enough to bring back. Some times I shake my head. It’s hard to please every one.

Once again, you’ve proved this poly-sensitive lady wrong! Faux suede pants; divine, ordered multiples … and now the Botanical Print blouse. I took recommendations of some of our friends, and took a chance on the Ivory, and it is delightful! Light, cool, floaty easy fit, and just fantastic … and Walter loves it 🙂 I may need another color.
And now you’ve given me a huge, fun dilemma … LACE … and what color??? I have sandy hair with blonde highlights, rosy complexion, hazel eyes … and I own the older linen trimmed lace jacket in light blue, navy, ivory, coral/light orange. What to do … what to do? I can wear the blues and greens if they’re not too greyed out … and I love every one of the new lace pieces! I’d love to wear to a party in SF late summer. Thank You for bringing these to us 🙂

Dear Shelia, I think the lace pant with an Ivory sweater for the Holidays would look fantastic. The Ice Venetian would look stupendous…..Of course I would like two just to make it more lush. The carnival has now been reordered three times, so it would really depend how the new colors do. I don’t know why the Teal hasn’t been as popular as I thought it would. It even looks good on the Indigo
Regarding the teal multi – it’s gorgeous.. I love it but didn’t buy it as I have the original blue, turquoise and the plum multi (and of course black and white and silver multi, straw/linen) and the teal seemed like a good combination of the blue and plum as I thought i could buy another totally different color. So I am assuming that could be the reason it isn’t sold out yet.
The lace separates – oh my God! They are just too pretty and your pictures help in styling them differently instead of the run of the mills styles. I just couldn’t decide on the colors and ended up getting all four colors in the pants and jackets. The tank is a little low cut for my liking. Loved the white shirt you showed with the sky blue tie dye skirt today and also waiting for the silkish azure jacket and the pink one. I keep telling myself I shouldn’t get multiples of same style as my closet is just overflowing after I discovered linea. But I can’t help, with all the lovely colors you do! And I am super happy that black hasn’t been one of the colors in most of your recent items – no black means one more lovely color. Like you, I can’t be without colors! I can never do all neutral, need a happy pop of color or all bold color outfits all year!
Oh, thank you, Louis, for considering and Ivory WK Holiday Sweater to wear with the Ivory Lace Pants. One thing, please, do not make it with bell sleeves as I have petite arms and I had to pass on both your beautiful embroidered bell sleeve sweater and the pearl embellished bell sleeve sweater. With your regular WK sleeves, I simply push them up. And thanks for the heads up on the Teal Carnival with the Indigo.

Louis, what a schedule you had today! My heart goes out to you to have all those “hits” in one day. It has to be far more exhausting than doing a one or two hour show! I think it to be totally unfair but I am sure it was your choice and I have no doubt that meetings were scheduled in between but even so, it’s a grueling schedule to have to “pop” in for a 5 minute presentation starting at 4:00AM through 7:00PM. Dear Somersault, it is always easier to do my own show where I chose the models and have total control how all the models will look. The hits are harder to coordinate with different stylists for each show. However, I’d rather do them all in one day then have them scattered over several days, and have to make that trip back and forth from my home.

Jackie, I am so sorry to not have gotten back to you sooner. Things just sometimes get away from me. I was sitting in my studio and the light bulb went on and I remembered your question…..,the good thing is I remembered!….the bad thing is….as I though they don’t work at all together. The sapphire gauze is a much more vivid intense blue, and they don’t harmonize at all.

Dear Pat, not knowing what the break is, I can’t really answer your question, but I would think they could fix almost anything, so it’s definitely worth a try. It has been my experience that when something broken is sent to them it comes back better that what was originally received……send it…

OK, now I know my memory is gone!!!!! I don’t remember discussing a weight loss program with Carolyn….so maybe she could refresh my memory and share the info with you!
Your memory is correct as a an official weight loss program was never discussed. Your clothing was the motivator. Since discovering you about two years ago, my closet has been transformed and so have I. My mother had the ability to dress well and she made it look so easy. Since her passing many many years ago I have tried to duplicate what I saw her do. While I love clothes and have purchased many, I could never really pull it together. The quality was always wonderful but there were too many different styles, colors a little off, etc. Linea has given me a wardrobe that I can dress up or down. I can select what to wear based on how I feel or how I want to feel versus pulling something together just because it may look good. Linea clothes are comfortable and finally, so am I! I’ll bet I am not unique as every dedicated Linea lady will understand. Thank you so much.

My question is is the lace and tank durable enough to survive the flight in my checked suitcase or should I roll it up and put it in my carry on? I plan on taking a travel clothes steamer with me. Also, do you know when these pieces will be presented? Thank you in advance for any advice.

Dear Beth…the tank is in my poly faux de chine. I think, but am not 100% sure, that it’s the same quality as the tank that is sold with the crinkle georgette safari shirt. You can pack it in either bag. I’m not sure when it will be aired??? I would think on my shows on the 20th? but I never know until I get the script. Maybe they will post it all early like they did the lace pant??????
Do you know when the gorgeous shirt jacket that you sneaked with the Pomperr necklace will be shown?

I do have a question about the length of the lace pants. I understand why the slim pants are made shorter than the wider leg pants. But this lace pant seems similar in cut to the sequin pant. Yet those were 29″ in the petite, and the lace ones are 28″. The 29″ was a perfect length, and I’m concerned that these will be too short. Of course the regular length pair would have to be hemmed. Do you think these will be long enough at 28″ or should I choose the regular?
Debbie…..Honestly I’m not sure why they keep changing the lengths. That decision is up to you. If you order the petite can’t you return them without a charge. If you do need the regular the hem is an easy turn back and stitch. It will also depend on the shoes you plan to wear.
Just bought the pink lace tunic, would the pink 3 strand nugget necklace by any chance be a good combo with it? Wishing you condolences on your brother’s passing, may he be another angel over your shoulders ,watching over you. You bring all of the Linea ladies much joy with your designs and may your angels see to it that you only know of happiness in return.

Dear Gail….the description on the Linea site is WRONG! It is not a cotton shirt. it is a poly span faux de Chine….It is light weight and silky feeling.I’m sorry to disappoint those who wanted a cotton shirt, but the misinformation isn’t my fault….It really is a light silky fabric, and has a beautiful flow and drape….I call it the “Gondolier Shirt”. In Venice all of the Gondoliers wear stripe Tees and shirts in beautiful colors. Unfortunately, my web page where I post new things isn’t working. I’m trying to get it corrected, but I have no idea how long it will take.

Dear Dawn, the pants are lined in the same tricot knit. The stretch waist band is also made in the tricot knit so it is smooth against the skin. The lining is basically tonal. The lace is very special. I call is “DENIM LACE” because in the dying process the lace looks slightly distressed, meaning there are lighter and darer areas, noting extreme, but just to give the lace a new look. This is brand new. These are pull-on pants so the hip measurement is what you should look for, unless your waist is bigger than your hips then the waist measurement would be the one to go by. In general I would say choose your normal Linea pull-on pant size….I was with my family so I could not do the show, but I did tape it and i thought Jen, Nancy and the girls did a great job.

Your detailed description of the Denim Lace pants sound wonderful. I was going to ask for Lace pants after seeing the Chanel runway video but fiqured I was pushing it. The pants looked to have nice movement when Jennifer wore them. To me I envision wearing these pants walking along the edge of a sandy beach- sandals in hand- at sunset. I would pair with a denim button down shirt with sleeves rolled up and tied at the waist.
One question- Colorwise, does the Dark Olive topper A302565 work with the Dill Lace pants?

I wanted to tell you about my Mardi Gras outfit today: DFG faux suede pants ( LOVE them!!!), Violet whisper knit V-neck sweater… I could’ve worn my Mardi Gras necklace, but decided to wear the petal necklace in gold… Purple, gold, and green – perfect! Sounds like fun…..In 1972, when i was a young single man….I went to Rio, Brazil for Mardi Gras….It was WILD, and I will never forget the fun my friends and I had. I don’t think I slept for 5 days!
Just ordered my lace pants, at ;least I hope . Have to ask WHY? WHY? WHY? always different lengths one time 29″ petite, next time 28″. Need 29″ Please be consistent otherwise have to return often. ordered voodoo and two tops with pockets in crepe as well.
Addendum to above…I do get that for some petites 29 is too long…I like to wear heels or tall wedges, also that ankle and slim pants are shorter,ie, 26-27 for petite etc. Just asking for consistency, that way if not my favorite length can just buy reg and hem. I purchased the new sapphire pants which I own in 3 former colors…the 28″ were perfect with heels due to slim leg, however the sapphire, at least 1-2″ longer and had to return. LOVE LINEA…hate RETURNING, BUT I have to SOMETIMES.
Dear Pamela, in general we make slim tapered pants shorter than wider leg pants that should land lower on the foot. Different lengths in one style in the same size is the sewers mistake. The patterns are all marked and they are all cut the same so when that happens it’s the sewer who isn’t being careful. These differences are not easy to spot as it is assumed all of the sewers are following the pattern. Depending on the fabric, this can also happen during the pressing, especially with stretch fabrics.
Thank you Louis and apologies for sounding off frustrations re pant lengths. I realize you have more serious things to deal with presently. I should’ve looked at petite length prior to ordering. Qvc has become very quick to prevent cancelling or changing an item ad of late. Hopefully the 28″inseam will work. Thanks again and hope you continue to heal.

Hi Joanne, since the pant is posted I guess you know that, yes the pant will be in petites. I’ve been with the family. My brother John has 4 children and 11 grand children. He left us too soon. The grand children are all young and will not get the chance to really know who he was. Very sad.

The gauze tunics on AM Style were lovely. The matching lace pants are beautiful but too fancy for my retirement at the beach. Will there be gauze pants or crop pants in ivory later this season? I want to purchase the right color tunics before they sell out.
I recently wore your gauze sequin tops in black and turquoise in Barbados last month. They were perfect for resort elegant restaurants. Stocking up on your gauze for next year.

There aren’t anymore gauze pants coming but there will be 3 other ivory pants that will all work with the gauze tunics. You might want to think of the lace pant as any other pant worn with atee shirt and sandals. It doesn’t have to be dress…..just a fun spring summer and fall novelty pant. I can even see them with fisherman’s sweaters.

On a different note, I had a question about the fit of the big deal and if I had to size up. Guess what, one of the 4 tops I ordered arrived the very next day as it was shipped from CA (never happened before!) and my true size fits perfect. The one I received is pink and it’s just sooo pretty. It feels so soft and light and just so beautiful. I think the models kept tugging the top with every move so that kind of made me worried but I didn’t feel the need to do that. So happy about the purchase (nothing new though. Happy with all my lines purchases).
