Louis, one of the ladies on the forum said she saw Kate, the model from QVC, sitting next to Bob and Joe when they panned the audience. I didn’t see her. How lovely for her if it’s true!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, KaTe and her husband bought tickets to the Tony Awards and Bob managed to get them seated next to him. He also lent Kate the Mackie beaded gown she was wearing. She looked fabulous.. Bob’s muse for many years was a California red head model named Jan. Similar bodies, but very different looking from Kate.

  2. Joanne C

I saw Cher The Musical – such a crowd pleaser. The costumes deserved the accolade to Bob Mackie. I was happy senior Cher won the Tony for Lead Actress in a Musical. She did a good job of her presentation of senior Cher. The costumes are worth the price of admission.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I thought the Cher show got robbed! Should have been nominated for many more awards including best Musical. Some of the shows that were nominated IMHO STUNK, but that’s just MO.

  3. Somersault

BOB MACKIE WON THE TONY FOR COSTUME DESIGN!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!

    1. Louis

Yes, but I was disappointed they didn’t show any of them, and since Cher isn’t nominated they won’t be seen.

      1. Somersault

I was so disappointed that he was given the award pre-show with only a 13 second clip of it on the live show. I was very happy when the cast and the three Cher’s came out to sing Believe and then all the costumes, delighted that they were shown and they showed Bob in the audience. The same when Stephanie Block won and she thanked him and Cher. So happy for him! You called it, Louis!!!!

  4. Ruth

    Dear Louis,
I bought your A290929 Pebble Crepe Tunic with Inverted Pleats in Azure and I’m very pleased with it. The color works magic with my eyes to turn them more teal than usual. Wonderfully styled garment too! It’s so rare to find that color in a style I like. Thank you, Louis. You’re the best! Ruth

  5. Kathy/Wis

The new Boudin necklace and earrings are posted.

    1. Kathy/Wis

      Should be Bedouin

  6. Sylvia

Hey Louis, the red color one of the red beads on J390565 is coming off? Can it be repaired at TCJC?
    Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I would think so Sylvia. Send it to them. If they can they will. Do you have the address and instructions?

      1. Sylvia

        TCJC LLC Repairs Dept
        3B Industrial Drive
        Smithfield, RI 02917?
        Send 7.50$ for shipping?

  7. TexasBarb

Looks like vendor for the basketweave jewelry had a little mixup. Both my necklace orders (goldtone and silvertone) came with bracelets in the box. So even though silvertone bracelets aren’t available to order yet, I have one. Unfortunately I have no necklaces and 3 bracelets.
    😔

      1. TexasBarb

QVC Customer Service is handling it properly. Just wondering if others had same experience.
Always love my Linea jewelry and clothing.

        1. Rosemarie

Same thing happened to me- 2 bracelets – supposed to be 2 necklaces. Frustrating

    1. Connie

I am dealing with the same mess! I didn’t want to make a fuss, but I received the bracelet, ordered the necklace in silver. I called, and I have to send the order back and QVC receive it before they will send me the necklace. I don’t want it to sell out, so packaged it up . When I looked at the return paper, the order was for someone else entirely! I then made a fuss by email. Their policy of not mailing the correct item until return received isn’t very customer friendly. HSN orders the correct item right away. I’m guessing someone in MN got my necklace and I’m in OR! If it weren’t for Louis, I’d be gone!

  8. Sylvia

Louis! I LOVE my pink, (rose gold) fish with the opal eye!!! Wearing it today!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

YEAH!!!! I’m so glad you like it. I will have to add more Rose gold to my collection.

  9. Carolyn

A note of thanks. Massai & earrings arrived yesterday (finally!) – love it & will be worn like crazy. With its design it’s called ‘pile it on’ so the bracket will be added and it’s light weight will allow summer wearing. Also overdue thanks for torture (black), Pompeii, voodoo (wore again today), fish. and a few others that are no longer on the Q site.

  10. namealreadytaken

Dear Louis, I loved your alabaster. The pants with the matching top,I believe your first alabaster offerings, top chiffon-like border, was such a big, big hit for me. I also had the dress. Fortunately, for me I was able to take off enough prednisone weight that I surprised a very grateful friend with the set which was worn but once. I would LOVE to have those pants (with the somewhat oversized legs) for occasional wear (weddings, dinners, cocktail events). Either alabaster or fawn. Fawn and black are always good! Please, may we?

    1. namealreadytaken

Sorry, Louis, I do not. The crepe gauze dress with cascade, V-neck is like the one I had but without the cascade. All items were the crepe gauze in alabaster, which I reference, save the dress which I had in black. These two items would be similar: A308457; A302551 to the dress which I had. The pants would have been similar to A290983. I believe this is the number for the top: A276293.

Like I said, I gifted them to a friend. This friend is not local so I will not bother with asking her the numbers. However, I think those numbers above might refresh memory. Thank you for all you do. About to receive the lace inset top and very excited that I “finally” got my size and color.

  11. Jackie

The insert lace tunic is such an exquisite garment. I am hoping you and the Q will add colors. Cocoa, teal, boysenberry, purple tones would be an example of some fall/winter colors I would grab in a heartbeat. Since, if it did get reordered it would probably be for the same time next year, I would have to keep the colors relative to the period. I’d like white too with the beige lace…..not sure about black. It might make for too strong a contrast??

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jackie….If they do decide to reorder the top. I do like the cocoa and boysenberry ideas. In general Teal and purples haven’t been the best performers?

  12. liz

    Good Morning Louis and Ladies
I am watching QVC now and they are showing Linea jewelry with Denim and co., What a difference jewelry makes.
Im sure you will be adding lots of new fans with this stunning jewelry!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Liz…..thanks for the heads up! Good to know the stylists are using the jewelry my company donated to the model’s room

  13. Lynne

    Hi Louis,

Will the “sell out” rule apply to the classic earring set (has black)? It is in stock but only in clip.

    1. Louis

Lynne, it’s not a rule. They usually don’t reorder until it’s sold out…..which earring are you referring to?

    2. Lynne

      Hi Louis,

The set I am referring to is J387779. It includes the black metal. It is only available in clip earrings.

The Q calls it “Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Classic Set of 4 Hoop Earrings”

      1. Louis

That set does get reordered, I thought a new quantity came in recently?

        1. Lynne

Yes, for J387779 initially only the pierced came in, the clip came in later, and then the pierced sold out (clip remains). My guess is that the Q may have a gap in this area and your earrings are filling the gap thus selling out quickly. Louis, I appreciate all that you do to keep us looking fabulous!

  14. Cathy in PA

    Dear Louis,

I have a new and maybe unusual ? request/idea. Given the popularity of the Fish pieces, the beautiful Berber and now Maasai jewelry and your own interests, have you considered bringing us a jewelry design featuring an Elephant? Thinking a pendant on a longer corn/chain etc., like the fish, or dangling from something else … and maybe a baby elephant to go with? Just a random thought 🙂 … thanks for always listening. Walter says “Hi!”.

    1. Melissa W

Oooh, I second the elephant idea. Also love giraffes.

    2. Louis

Dear Cathy….I love elephants.! Actually both Jac and I loved these wonderful animals. We both adopted one each Jac’s is Flora and mine is Tara. I would love to volunteer anywhere to take care of baby elephants! They are so adorable! That’s my dreamDon’t know about elephant jewelry??

      1. Jane J.

Hi Louis, Just FYI — Scott Grimes has his JAI jewelry line on QVC and brings elephants, lions, giraffes, etc., all in heavy sterling silver in the style of John Hardy.

  15. Cela

Louis you have too many fans.
Just wondering if any pieces of low quantity, like the tangiers
or the Egyptian pieces are on reorder?

    Cela

    1. Louis

Dear Cela……a style usually isn’t reordered until it is entirely sold out…..so no neither style have been reordered.

    2. Lynne

Hi Cela, I too am hoping these two necklaces get reordered in all colors. Louis the Egyptian is no longer showing as “in stock.” Fingers crossed hoping to pick up a couple of colors in this necklace.

Louis, on another topic, if I remember correctly you paired a bracelet in the last 30 days with the Voodo necklace. The bracelet seemed to match the new Bedouin necklace in the black/turquoise/red color. I was drooling when I saw it on air! Any chance you will be pairing a bracelet with the new and upcoming Bedouin necklaces? Lastly, June 11, 18 and 19 seem so far away! 🙂 We are all looking forward to your new items!

      1. Louis

The bracelets you are referring to were never bought. With the Bedouin I will be showing the black roller bracelets, Maybe I’ll mix in a color bangle from my collection but it won’t be avail. Do you have any color bangles. I know they aren’t so easy to find.

        1. Lynne

Thanks for the response. I have several colored bracelets including many from your line including the black roller bracelet. I am an experienced shopper 🙂 however, I rarely find anything as interesting as the mix you pull together. L

          1. Louis

            Thank you Lynne

  16. Chris/Jazzmom

    Hi Louis,

Just a few things to mention:

    1) The basket weave bracelet is still not showing as available the silvertone color. I guess the mix up is taking longer than expected to correct prior your shows.

    2) The rosetone rolling bangle bracelet is not showing an AVERAGE size bracelet as being available. The brass ox has all 3 sizes showing.

I already wrote my review on the brass ox bracelet.

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. louis

I will check on the BW in silver again. The average in Rose tone may have sold out already…..I’l check that two…They don’t order that many of the new colors to see how they sell. If they do well they reorder. I’ll check on that too.

  17. diane228

Louis- You little devil! Love your tie dye post-but is the Bedouin set new? Your jewelry sets
this season have been the best. And this Bedouin set looks like another winner! Happy weekend!

      1. Michelle

I’m going to need a bigger jewelry budget! Lol.

        Michelle

  18. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

The Maasai bracelet and earrings have arrived. Beautiful BEYOND EXPECTATION!

I wrote a glowing post on the QVC Forum and will write my product reviews soon.

Could not be more pleased! Thank you, Mr. Genius.

  19. pamela

Hi Louis. Love love love the Maasai necklace, however , not sure I could carry it off as I am petite. Do you think the Maasai bracelet would coordinate with the royal seed bead necklace? Thanks

    1. louis

Yes…the necklace is blue and gold and the bracelet has blue, thought not predominate, and gold

    2. Louis

Pamela….how petite are you? Are you extremely small and thin? Think of it as an embroidered bodice on a dress. Look at the length and see where that would hit on you. It is so beautiful I would hate for anyone to have to pass it up. To get the true look of the Maasai it had to be at least 5 rows long to look authentic. Sorry if it doesn’t work for you.

      1. Pamela

Louis, I am 5’2″,but usually wear heels or wedges of 4ish inches, wear med to lg on bottom and lg on top…(blessed there LOL) My entire life have been told how much I look like Susan Lucci. Think I will try Maasai necklace, etc. I love coin jewelry even more.. Thanks so much!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pamela…..I know stature becomes an important consideration when choosing apparel and accessories, but ultimately I think it’s up to the individual woman and her attitude. If some feel overwhelmed in certain things then they are, while others feel they can wear anything with confidence. I always use Iris Apfel as an example of a diminutive woman, and she’s really little like a sparrow, who is fearless, and piles it on with abandon. I realize there is only one Iris Apfel, but I can’t help but think the fun she has dressing and wearing things she loves no matter what. IMHO she always looks fantastic, and certainly if the Metropolitan Museum did an entire, and one of the most successful exhibits on her style, I’m not in the minority. Her joie de vivre is something to emulate. When you get it put the outfit together, wear it and see the reaction you get. Sometime we are our own worst critics, and need positive reactions from others to confirm it looks good! Give it a try….what can you loose!

          1. Cela

“Fashion is something you buy but STYLE you must possess,” Iris Apfel.
What an icon! Doesn’t like ripped jeans, her most important accessory that she
can not do without, her iconic glasses. The You Tube UT/NYC doc about fashion
            is really fun for fashionistas.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you ever see her in person you’d be shocked. She really is tiny like Betty Davis used to be when she was very young….a sparrow…..But Iris can carry clothes and accessories. Don’t tell her she’s petite. She’s say it’s a state of mind!

            2. Cela to Louis

Did you know she had a jewelry line at HSN? Not sure when,
but her items look very familiar, in fact I’d bet money that she
had something to do with the dress worn by SJP on Sex in the City,
with that gigantic flower on her shoulder!hahaha

            3. Louis

Cela….yes, I was aware of her line. I haven’t looked at it for quite a while

        2. Pratt

          Hi Pamela,
I am 5’ 3” and don’t wear heels at all. And I am an xxs on top and xs on bottom. I used to shy away from big bold earrings and necklaces until a few years ago, thinking it’s too heavy looking on me. But I realized I was missing out on a lot of fun when the statement necklaces were a trend. I slowly started working my way up with chokers, collar necklaces and then linea carnival necklaces. It’s a matter of you getting used to yourself I think. The carnival necklaces would have been too much for me had I started with that, but now I own 5 of them haha. And the number of compliments I have been getting since I became bolder (in the jewelry context haha), I wouldn’t want to miss out on that! I bought the maasai too, and as long as I keep everything else simple the necklace balances out. I hope this helps.

          1. Anonymous

Well Pratt and Louis, I really appreciate the feedback. Pratt ,sounds as though you have exquisite taste as does Louis.I do have 3 carnivals myself and love them with a flat, crew or the boatneck tunics. Can’t do them with a collar or too much at neck. Going to order Maasai pieces now…

            1. Pamela

              That was Pamela, not anonymous.

          2. Louis

Pratt….I think that was excellent advice. Start with a simple outfit. White tee shirt, crew or v doesn’t matter, and a white bottom for a column of white. Then the Masaai and you will look great. Go out and get ready for compliments which always builds up your confidence. Bolder jewelry is something you have to get accustom to seeing on yourself especially if this is something new to you.

            1. Carolyn

Dear Pamela – years ago the usual small chain necklace satisfied me but I secretly loved substantial jewelry. I’m petite so my thinking was large pieces would wear me. Then a little lady by the name of Paloma Picasso started to design her own jewelry line. I loved it and because the pieces were being designed by Paloma Picasso it made larger pieces ok for me to wear. That was a break-out moment and since then I have matured but I still wear larger pieces. I encourage you to allow Linea to be a break-out moment for yourself. It is a wonderful thing. Blessings from TX. (I’m impatiently awaiting my own Maasai to arrive!)

            2. Sarah

              Louis
I have three of the carnivals- most bold being turquoise- it’s stunning.
I have to admit that I am Miss Low Profile. I’m 5’7”, but travel incognito.
Do not need to command attention. I just like your clothing and jewelry because it makes me feel good. I do love the compliments.
I’m starting out with the Maasai bracelet- it looks stunning. I only do clip earrings , so passing on those for now.
I need to see necklace on a real woman. I’m a medium in your clothing, but love to see how everything works on
Brenda, Katia, Kate, Maria, Anya, Mrs Angela and Chantal.
It gives me a great perspective.
You are killing my budget with all of your great items!!!
So regrettably thanks and keep up the good work!!!!
              Sarah

            3. Louis

Dear Sarah….in today’s world 5’7″ is tall add a 2″ wedge [which isn’t very high] or a platform sandal and your 5″9″. so you really should be able to wear almost anything…..Travel incognito!? NONONONONO. We have to put a stop to that. There is no fun in being Ms. Cellophane!! You have to be the leading lady in your own life. We have to put a light on you and let you shine!Getting compliments can be very habit forming and intoxicating…..Go for it Sarah…go for it! P.S. these earrings can easily be converted to clips. Ebay and Amazon sell them [not expensive] in a variety of styles and colors and it’s easy to do.

            4. Pamela

Love all of your feedback…i am definitely not timid , and have been told that I usually “look put together, not thrown together ” .I credit Louis of late. Saw some bold pieces of jewelry and apparel in Armani and Chanel shows that I believe are rivaled by LLDO…!!!Thanks LLDO

            5. Louis Dell'Olio

Pamela…question…..are you the Pamela from Alaska? There was a Pamela who used to post quite often, but I haven’t heard from her in a long time. That always makes me nervous when one of my ladies disappears :[

  20. Pratt

    Hi Louis,
I am in love with the Masai necklace and earrings! Omg, they are stunning and I think they just complete any outfit. I know I can never find such pieces anywhere esp at this price. Love the colors on them and texture. And it’s so unique unlike anything I own .. I also had a crazy idea of framing the necklace as a wall accent as I love a lot of color in my house and on me lol. Could you please do more colors in the earrings? I left a review for both of them but they are yet to appear on the qvc site.
And did you say there was some coin jewelry coming or was I dreaming? 😝

    1. Louis

Yes Pratt….so glad you love the Maasai necklace. I could easily see it framed in a lucite box and part of a wall display…..Yes, there are THREE Necklaces coming all different and ALL fabulous….plus EARRINGS…you can mix them all for an incredibly spectacular look. End July

  21. Sarah

    hi Louis
I would like to make a request if you did not do any sneak peeks with the Maasai
ensemble. If you did, then please tell me when since I do not recall seeing.
Any way that Jennifer could model and post on your blog or facebook?
I’m sure you will show on your upcoming dates, but I’m afraid that will be too late.
Thanks so much. I’ve really been enjoying wearing all my
new Linea jewelry pieces and am so grateful that you did the
2 sets of 4 clips. I’ve been able to get matching bracelets and necklaces to almost all of the earrings.
I wear a different pair each day.
    Sincerely
    Sarah
ps I’ll do some reviews I’ve been remiss in writing.

    1. Louis

Dear Sarah….I’m not sure what you are asking of me. I did many sneak peak photos of the Maasai necklace and earring showing it on different clothing options. You may have to click “older” in the upper left corner to see them. I don’t believe Jennifer has these samples. Don’t wait too long the entire group is selling well.

      1. sarah

thx Louis- I ordered bracelet so far

  22. Kathy/Wis

    Hello Louis
The Maasai jewelry just arrived and it is the most beautiful jewelry in my overflowing jewelry armoire! There is so much texture and detail in the colors in cloth and metal it’s beyond any thing else.
I believe in a boutique $1000.00 price tags on the necklace and it would sell. The best piece you have done so far I’m just very lucky to be a owner of this piece.
    Thank you

    1. louis

Kathy….I think you are the first to receive your necklace. Please don’t forget to leave your review on the jewelry site and the Linea Forum. It helps a lot!

      1. Kathy/Wis

I will and I am ordering a second braclet.

  23. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. They are showing the Attitudes by Rene TSV Maxi Dress with many pieces of your Linea jewelry–the Black Tortue Necklace Set, the Cozumel Necklace and the Nested Bead Necklace—just wish they’d give you the credit!

    Sheila

    1. louis

We gave the models room jewelry to use because they have nothing, but I’m surprised because I thought Rene did jewelry?

      1. vickybliss

The jewelry looks great. They need to be listed on the models’ closet.

      2. Sheesh

No, Rene doesn’t do jewelry. Since my first post, they also shown the Fish Pendant, the Ankh Necklace, the Bugle Bead Necklace and the Faceted and Pave Bead Necklace. They are going to town on Linea Jewelry!

        Sheila

        1. Louis

Some of the stylists use it, and some don’t. Some like to be able to accessorize the models, and some just can’t be bothered. They are happy handing out a hoop and a bangle. I hope it helps to sell Rene’s dresses!

    2. Louis

I looked….I loved the Black Bugle bead necklace on the beige top and printed pant. It just finished the look.

  24. Nikki

    Louis,
I just received the masai earrings and bracelet. They are stunning and very lightweight. I wanted to know besides the masai necklace what other necklace would you recommend to wear with the earrings? I am going to get the necklace, however I will be wearing the earrings a lot so I was trying to come up with different pieces to coordinate.
Also, I hope these earrings do well, I would love different colors in this because it brings attention to the face,it is lightweight and it is unique.
    Thankyou

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nikki…you may want to look at the J393302, gold Mayan necklace. The gold square beads are the same in the pieces. That may be enough to pull them together.

  25. Seka

Louis, The Big Deal date is just around the corner – any clues Please – Top, Bottom, Fabric, Colours……
    Seka.

  26. Kate

While I am still waiting for my Maasai necklace (drums fingers impatiently), the matching earrings and bracelets arrived thanks to expedited shipping. LDO, all I can say is these look and feel like art pieces you would buy for $$$ at a gallery. I have a small wrist and the bracelet is loose but comfortable–I bought two and as with other pieces you have designed, will wear them layered on one arm, or one on each arm as cuffs. The earrings just about blew my little mind. The perfect scale so they’re not overwhelming, but totally make a statement. I had a half dozen compliments in the first hour I had them on. Sure to be a one of the all-time great Linea collectibles. Thank you for always giving us fashion that’s wearable, but also challenges us to try something new.

    1. Louis

Dear Kate, I am so happy you like the bracelet and earrings…..If they blew your mind just wait until the necklace arrives…..don’t even think what to wear it with. Get your favorite white tee….roll up the sleeves, and either tight white jeans and H Hell sandals or med. wash jeans and go…You will be inhaling compliments all day!

  27. Kathy/Wis

The rose tone rolling bangle is posted.

  28. Beryl

    louis,
Just received A347438 sweater. What a sleeper. It reminds me of the wonderful sweaters I’ve bought in Italy.

    1. Louis

      Beryl….it’s such a sleeper it’s in a coma….LOL

      1. Carolyn

I’m in complete agreement. This is a fantastic sweater. I started with the black and went back for the ivory and I’m thinking about the blue. I hope Louis does more of this knit.

        1. Sarah

          Carolyn
the sapphire blue is stunning- you should buy it- I love mine
          Sarah

        2. Joanne C

I also purchased A347438 also. I purchased in my size small both the black and ivory. I love them. The fabric is so expensive and the fit is fabulous on me. I think the photo’s on QVC show these sweaters as big, baggy and ill fitting. They are far from it.

          1. Louis

I agree, The photos are really BAD. You can’t see any of the details. I wouldn’t buy the sweaters if that’s all i had to go by. I think you ladies have to spread the word on the Linea forum and write your reviews. This sweater hardly has any reviews. As a matter of fact there are very few reviews in general for clothing or jewelry. That’s not good.

            1. Joanne C

              Louis
I made sure I left one previously, There are 21 five star reviews. There should be a lot more. The ivory sweater looks sensational with the A347542 ivory slim leg pants-a sensational outfit. So slimming!

            2. kob21

              Hi Louis,
I just wrote a glowing review via my desktop computer re: the orange tie dye skirt and got the message from QVC that it might take longer than five days to post due to heavy demand (or something like that). I loved the navy tie dye skirt that I got last spring that I just had to get the orange too!
I have tried to write Linea clothing reviews via my android phone and they are always rejected with some odd error code — despite the fact that I fill in the “required” fields. I wonder if that techno-glitch is affecting the number of reviews posted for your lovely offerings?

So many new beautiful pieces of jewelry, want them all but alas, need to choose. I already own the copper etruscan and the wood bead necklaces. Which rolling bracelet would you recommend to go with both? Thank you!

    1. Louis

Debby for the Copper Etruscan You would have to go with the Copper Ox bracelet. I’ve done a few wood bead necklaces. Which one do you have?

    2. Debby

It,s the long wood bead necklace set J358571. Also own the long dark necklace with a large round medallion with a red stone center and a magnetic closure that you can use when you double the chain, have no bracelet for that either! Thanks again for you wise suggestions!

      1. Louis

Yes Debbie, for those two necklaces the new Brass Ox roller will be a good match

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There will soon be pink gold too….to go with the pink gold fish and the copper ox pieces like the ring necklace

  30. Carol B

Thanks for posting a story and photos of the new Massai jewelry. I was hesitant to get it until I saw how you used it to accent so many of the pieces of clothing I already have. Your stories are wonderful and I’m taking the advice of another fan who said she saves your stories to store with the jewelry. I check your website frequently to see your latest inspirations. You’ve truly changed the way I dress.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Carol that is one of the best compliments I have ever received. Thank you so much

  31. Jacky

Hi Louis, I searched for ‘Berber’ on your blog and a post on August 14, 2013 showed a picture of J271862. A favorite necklace of mine. Would you do a consider doing new variation/color of J271862?

I’m an ardent fan of your work. I check your blog regularly.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jacky….I loved that necklace. I did it in two colors…the wine with the amber and olive with the amber. They actually didn’t sell well. I don’t think women in general liked the big beads then. I do and will always do versions of them like the Berber necklaces and the Moroccan necklaces. There are some new bead necklaces coming in July that you may like…..I think they came out great.

      1. Jacky

Thanks Louis. I will watch for the new bead looks. I love the bold and un-fussy.

      2. Sheesh

Louis, I bought BOTH of those necklaces and they still go with so many articles of your clothing. Love those necklaces. I just bought the new Moroccan Necklace set and the Maasai pieces, too! Looking forward to seeing what else you have in store for us.

        Sheila

  32. Kathy/Wis

    Hello Louis
I ordered the three Maasai items and the braclet before there was a photo. I knew it would be fabulous. The order was placed the 23rd and shipped out today so maybe the shipping is improving. I’m also printing out your pictures and story of this and the Berber people so when it is passed down they will have the stories and inspiration for the pieces. Keep bringing more ethnic jewelry.
    Thank you

  33. Joanne C

    Hi Louis
Any hints as to your Big Deal in June?

  34. Suzy

    Hi Louis ,
Any dresses coming up for summer?
    Suzy4ZTR

      1. Enjay

Speaking of dresses … I recently bought A308457, your terrific little crepe dress with lining. I don’t know how I missed this one when it was first presented. It’s cool, comfy, super flattering – really, a perfect LBD for the summer. I can’t wait to wear it with the Maasai earrings and bracelet I just bought. I’m thinking about going back for the tobacco dress.

    1. Suzy

      Darn😎

  35. Jackie

    Louis,
I just had to write and tell you that I received the coral and green lace tops a day before I left for Italy and at the last minute packed them. They weigh nothing and take little space. I wore with jeans with heels for dinner last night in Venice and received compliments and some “looks”. I particularly like the stronger colors because the lace contrasts shows up more. I hope this top does well enough to order more colors and/or a second style. The fabric is everything! Thanks for bringing it to us. Surely this will be a collector piece in my wardrobe. I will treat them kindly so they last.

    1. Louis

Jackie….R U e-mailing me from Venice?? That’s great! One of my most favorite cities in the world. I am so happy to hear you lace top was a hit. It deserves looks it’s very special, and I’m sure you looked fabulous in it.

      1. Pamela DiMarino

        Dear Louis,
I’ll be taking your fabulous lace top, in what I choose to call apricot, to Italy next week. The lace reminds me of lace pieces we bought last year on the island of Burano, near Venice, which I’m sure you know. This is my new favorite LDO style! Thank you!

        1. Louis

WOW…..I am so jealous…..you and Jackie both in Venice. I hope you don’t run into each other wearing the same top….LOL…..I mean what are the chances that two Linea Ladies would be in Venice at the same time wearing the same top!!!! We didn’t even make that many. The Ladies of Burano, where the rainbow fell, would be very admiring of your top. Have you been to Torcello for lunch? There’s a beautiful garden restaurant that is just wonderful. Definitely worth an afternoon and a quick boat ride. It’s always booked so if your interested have your concierge book it. It’s the only restaurant on the island….at least it was when Jac and i were there many years ago. It’s famous

      2. Jackie

Yes Louis, I am emailing from Venice! What a city! Here 4 nights and we have been touring by car for a few weeks around Tuscany. I do not think there is a bad bottle of wine in all of Italy. It’s nice to go but always, always nice to come home. And my Linea wardrobe and jewelry, which my husband loves, goes with my everywhere.

        1. Louis

Have a glorious memorable time! Take lots of pictures….I treasure mine. Regards to your hubby

  36. luvitorleaveit

Hi Louis, as you know they posted the beautiful and colorful Maasai necklace, bracelet and earrings. I ordered the bracelet and earrings (so far) and would like to know the size of the wrap bracelet and or is it a slip on like your bangles? The QVC description isn’t very helpful. Thanks.

    1. Louis

It’s a coil bracelet that you wrap around your wrist…..not a slip on. I think you will get a better idea from the photo posted.

      1. Goldie76

When will you post YOUR photos of the Maasai set, Louis? I already bought the bracelet and earrings. They are stunning examples of adventurous, boho-chic adornments.

        1. Louis

Goldie….I don’t have my samples of the necklace yet! I’m supposed to get it tomorrow. The collages of the earring and the bracelet are done….just waiting for the necklace to complete the story.

          1. Goldie76

Looking forward to seeing how you style them.

Of course they will shine with your Boho skirts, but you offer so much that can carry off this ethnic look.

      2. luvitorleaveit

Thanks Seka and Louis I will wait for my set to arrive!

  37. kob21

    Dear Louis,
I ordered the Printed Ruffle Blouse and Skirt sets in both colorways, thinking that I would return one. I ended up by keeping both the black blouse and skirt AND the red skirt! The only reason I returned the red blouse is that the color didn’t flatter near my face (no surprise as red tops rarely do!). But, the red skirt was too adorable to return. I love the flounce and fit of the skirts and the ruffles on the blouse are a nice detail without being overpowering in any way. I’d love to see more options in this skirt style — especially solids. They would work in more than one season. Length is perfect for me — I’m semi-petite at 5’4″. Thank you for the wonderful designs!

  38. Chris/Jazzmom

    Hi Louis,

The Moroccan set– are the beads the same diameter as the Berber set or are they smaller? This will determine my purchase. Thank you.

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There are 3 large black beads that are scattered not clustered like the Berber. All of the other beads are smaller. or the same size as the smallest Berber bead…..hope this helps.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

        Yes it does. Thank you.

    1. Louis

Donna….did I say Maasai???? I don’t even remembering mentioning them…..Hold on to your hat….it’s a fabulous group. I’m a traveler and a traveler of the mind. I offer you the special things you will never find anywhere else…..unless you travel to North Africa and visit the MAASAI……Over the years they have been a great source of inspiration

      1. Barbara C.

Would you consider the Maasai earrings heavy? Hoping they are lighter weight because I love them!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

They are very light. Not heavy at all. I haven’t posted because I haven’t received my necklace samples yet. I got scooped. That’s why Donna surprised me mentioning it!

          1. Barbara C.

            Thank you. I’m ordering!

        2. LeefromMinnesota

Just when I thought it was safe to look at Linea on The Q — I’m a bracelet freak so even though the Maasai bracelet has no photo yet I’m ordering it based on the fabulous look of the necklace.

          1. Louis

Lee…..you will not be disappointed…..I promise

            1. LeefromMinnesota

Wowzer! The photo just posted and you are so right! It’s on the way to my house.

      2. Sierra

Looking forward to hearing the story and seeing how you style them

  39. Joanne C

    Hi Louis
For your June shows will you be showing more new styles for summer or will you start showing transition
    Thanks Louis

  40. Kathy/Wis

    Good morning Louis
Here is another request but, I would like to see a long white seed bead necklace or white and natural. A braclet would be nice to go with it.
I find nice white jewelry is hard to find that doesn’t look tacky.
    Thank you

  41. Joanne C

    Hi Louis
I purchased both the navy as well as ivory Linea A347452 Fly Front Slim pants. I recently wore your Linea ivory v neck sweater A347438 with the Linea ivory slim leg pants. What a great outfit! So slimming. Are you planning on bringing that beautiful sweater back in any other colors. The fabric is just divine for spring, summer, early fall in Chicago. I purchased the black already in that sweater. How about Linea Navy!

    1. Louis

Dear Joanne, I wish I were but the sweater didn’t sell as well as we had hoped. Maybe they thought it was too plain and they couldn’t tell how beautiful the yarn was? I really don’t have an answer. Most of those that did buy it, like you, loved it. There are no plans to bring it or the yarn back as of now.

      1. April

Well, THAT’S sickening. I bought both the sapphire and the black in that sweater, and have had nothing but “WHERE did you get that” from every woman I know when I’ve worn them. It’s the chicest most flattering sweater you’ve given us, imo, and I really don’t get this. I was really anticipating this yarn in other iterations come fall & wrote a glowing review praising it’s slimming virtues & sophistication as well. I’m as mystified by this as you are. I love WK as much as the next woman, but this yarn was special.

        1. Louis

April, that’s what I thought. I love WK like all of you, but we can’t eat pasta every day! LOL I thought this new yarn was very different from the WK and it would make a pleasant addition. I mean there are women that own 20 WK sweaters and more. I thought a change would be good, but we are in the minority. It isn’t easy to get women to try something new. Even though it has good reviews the sweater is still avail in every color and every size.

          1. Elaine

            Hello Louis and Ladies,

I love this sweater and fabric The sapphire is a gorgeous color and I too was looking for more designs in the fabric.
Just wore it this weekend and recieved several compliments.
            Thanks for trying something new.
Oh, and Louis not sure about the past! LOL
            Elaine

            1. Louis

Elaine…..Happy belated Birthday. The 13th right?

            2. Elaine

Louis, I’m so very touched, how kind of you to remember. You are ALWAYS so thoughtful.
My husbands birthday is April 24th so I buy Linea birthday gifts for me on both occasions! After all, one day is not long enough.
Think of you every day…how could I not when I open my closet door!!
              Thank you again,
              Elaine

            3. Louis

Elaine….Jac and I used to celebrate our birthdays for the whole month, and do little things to celebrate…..even if it was just taking a ride in the car. Jac loved to just take rides through the near by towns, and see all of the May flowers. Of course I was the chauffeur.

            4. Elaine

              Hi Louis,
Just noticing the spell-check in my message….As mentioned in your previous comment meant pasta! LOL
              Elaine
P.S. My husband is also the driver, I’m the navigator.

            5. Louis

Jac was my co-pilot…..she still is

          2. Goldie76

This sweater, which I purchased in the Sapphire, took my heart. To my mind and sensitivities, it realized all that a discerning and body-conscious woman would want in a sweater. So ultra flattering. I was looking forward to new colors next season. I’m severely disappointed. Must now pick up other colors.

  42. Cela

    Wow!!!!
    Louis!!!
The new capris are beautiful. They would be awesome in black
as well as the other shades, 19” as well as17”, too.
So flattering. A must , must have for all our crepe tunics
during summer. This is the length that is nearly perfect for a woman’s
    leg shape.
    Well done!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Cela, so glad you received your Capri pants already. What color did you choose?

      1. Anonymous

All three. Love the beige with the tank. Fabulous simple outfit for a
sweltering day, together with a skinny loose black belt and sandals.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Cela, let the ladies know how you like them and why. I’m sure there are many who would like to know more about the Capri from someone who received them.

          1. Cela

Well, your ponte is comfortable, easy care, versatile and can be dressed up or down. The colors are beautiful neutrals,
stunning with your dressy tops, or any of the more casual striped cotton shirts you have. But the reason I
think they are indispensable is they can be worn under a linen or silk summer jacket for business. Even if they were
17” right below the knee, they’d be great as a substitute for a skirt. What do you think?

            1. Louis

              Cela, I totally agree

    2. Karen

I bought 2 pair of the new soft white pants with the gold buttons and also the wheat color; and I bought two sleeveless tunics and 2 blouse sets that are new this year. Is there any possibility of purchasing a medium navy blue pants with gold buttons as it sold out too quickly.

I am very grateful for your line. I feel very feminine and put together. Thank you so much.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Karen, we will not be bringing anymore pants in. If there is a wait list I would suggest going on it as wait listed items are usually delivered.

  43. Christine Lederman

Hi. I wanted to get your Egyptian style necklace but QVC only has it in black. Will it be coming back with your other color tones.
    You are a great designer.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Christine…that you so much for believing in my work….As for the necklace…..it’s too early to know if it will be reordered, but if it isn’t I have other pendants in the pipeline!!!!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

BTW, the black is beautiful….much better than the picture. It looks great on a Tee and a black bottom.

    2. Lynne

Christine, I am also hoping J360761 gets restocked! I have the verdigris and would purchase 2 additional colors.

  44. Sharon

Hello Louis, I was waiting for the perfectly pink pants but I couldn’t possibly wear that style. Would it be possible to get a dressier pink pant either in your super ponte or some other pink fabric. Those lace tops are so beautiful but I would like to see them with a dress pant rather than a casual Capri or ankle pant.

  45. vickybliss

Could you please explain the difference between the light khaki, the linen and the beige pants? The light khaki and linen look very similar to me. Thank you for your patience and time.

  46. Judy M

Louis Thank You,Thank You,Thank You! For the perfectly pink capris . I ordered the pink and beige (have many white) Now hoping in the fall to see A265615 in perfectly pink,(a girl can hope can’t she?) Did I say I adore that color

    1. louis

“IF” the pant gets reordered it wouldn’t be until late next spring for P Pink.

      1. vickybliss

Could you do the beige as well? These pants are so nice and would be wonderful with these lace tops. Thank you

      2. designista

I need WHITE in A265615! Also in the Super Ponte Light a White pant cut the same as A298447, regular weight Super Ponte Slim leg pant that was discontinued (?), would be fabulous!

      3. Judy M

Thank You Louis that’s ok ,something to focus on, meanwhile looking forward to your surprises!

        1. Grace

Judy, I agree. Would love the pink in A265615! So perfect. Also, white, beige and red, if that’s not too greedy. lol

    1. Beth

Sarah, Thanks for sharing this, hopefully that means they will post the silvertone version soon.

  47. Liz

    Louis,

Several years ago you sold a tattersall plaid silk shirt on the Q that had 3/4 sleeves and buttoned down the front. It came in beautiful rich colors that were only possible with silk. It was a perfect style and was the ultimate dressy casual shirt. I had several – black with white plaid, white with black plaid, hot pink with white plaid, and orange with pink plaid. You had mentioned at one time that the cost of silk prohibited you from continuing to offer this shirt. I’m just wondering (and hoping) – would it be possible to bring that same tattersall plaid shirt in the same design back in beautiful bright color combinations by using the faux shantung fabric that was used for the India Pink jacket? The rich saturated color of the India Pink, Lime, and Turquoise is beyond gorgeous and would be beautiful in the tattersall plaid shirt.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Liz that’s a great question. The colors would certainly look vivid. I’ll ask my manufacturer.

      1. Anonymous

Several of those windowpane plaid shirts in silk look good with the new windowpane plaid/lace crops. I still own and wear the ones I have. No wonder I have no room in my closet. It’ a Linea museum.

      2. Enjay

I own several of those great silk shirts. They look like new and I still wear them! I love the style – a new version would be great!

  48. Pamela

Louis, Have to tell you…i am petite and purchased that pebble crepe
boatneck tunic in turq and black reg before you had petites. I’ve worn both of them as dresses on cruises etc. The turq with orange seed bead necklace…striking. Of course I have every color in petite as well.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Pamela, that sounds wonderful. Glad we were able to offer the petite. That’s rare!

  49. Carolyn Muse

    Dear Louis,

Thank you so much for all your beautiful designs. I have them all. Well, almost. LOL Seriously you are the best designer of all times. I thank God for you. I enjoy reading Ask Louis. I have a request. I love your Whisper Knit scarves and have them in all colors. Can you design a slightly longer and wider scarf? I love the scarves and often wear them as a wrap on cooler summer nights with your beautiful maxi dresses. Thank you Louis for all that you do for us. We love you!

    1. Louis

Dear Carolyn this fall,is done so anything new would have to be for next year.. do you have a size in mind. A while back I did do shawls.

      1. Carolyn Muse

Louis, I apologize for just getting back to you. Had to attend two of my nieces graduations this weekend. Of course you had me and my mom dressed to the Nines. Thanks for answering my request. I was thinking the scarves should be about 8 inches longer to swing over shoulder and 6 inches wider. So that would be roughly 77 inches long by 23 inches wide. With the same edging finish to have the scarf effect. Louis you are so kind to take this request. I must apologize. I will look in my closet. I am sure I have one of your wraps from the past. Thank you for all that you do for your Linea ladies. Thank you.

  50. Catherine Lowman

Louis, I’ve got two requests. I’d like to see a repeat of the openwork shrug in some dark colors like espresso, port, and navy, and maybe a butter yellow or light pink for spring/summer. I also think that the wild flower flounce skirt would sell well executed in the same fabric, in very dark colors for fall, like black, port, dark olive, and espresso brown.

    1. Louis

Catherine, unfortunately the shrug did not sell well, so they would never rebuy it. I know….I thought it was a great piece to have.

      1. Chris S.

Another useful piece for summer is the openwork gauze drape front cardigan in the same fabric as the shrug. I’m fortunate to own them in black and white. They are my “grab and go coverups” for summer. I’d love more items in that category!

    2. Debby

Dear Louis. I finally rec’d my whisper knit midi skirt And I absolutely love everything about it! Question- Have you considered doing this same skirt in a cotton type of fabric for spring and summer months? I think it would really be a hit, and I would buy one in every color! The skirt is perfection in every way with high reviews, so please consider😊
      Thank you

  51. Somersault

Louis, QVC, just, posted a picture of your new Ponte knit capris which you will show on tonight’s show. The picture is horrid! Hopefully, you can get them to change it after your appearance this evening. They appear to be very tight looking as if they are painted on. Your pants, regardless, never fit like that unless it’s leggings.

It, always, surprises me how poor QVC’s photos are of items they are trying to sell. Get plenty of rest for your 11PM show this evening! Looking forward to seeing you!

  52. Lynne

    Hi Louis,

I was looking for an image of your copper ox “Lord of the Rings” necklace to see how you styled the copper color. May I assume it pairs nicely with J353997 in Sienna? I also noticed you added a new blue color to the J353997. Will you be showing the nugget necklace on the 15th or in June? Also, when trying to see how you styled the L.O.R. necklace, I had difficulty finding a picture of the copper. I used the search term “link” on your website and viewed RIBBON RING NECKLACE……..J331643 (Aug, 2016 vintage). Wow! What a great necklace. Two questions: Do you ever revisit old styles like this? Also, I would love to see a full collection of your work. You are so talented!

    1. Louis

Lynn, Florida or the copper LOTR Necklace look at A302566, Chantal is wearing 2 of them with the copper roller bracelets. For the nuggets look at A290929, and the Green Patina Rings, A254439. The ribbon necklace will not be coming back.

      1. Lynne

        Thanks Louis~

Looking forward to the upcoming shows!

  53. pamela

Hi Louis. The girls all looked so good in your lace top mon night. I may have missed hearing but, what pants did Adai? have on with the sage? Were they alabaster slim pull-on? Thank you.

    1. Louis

Yes, Ade had on the Alabaster slim pant. If they aren’t avail. The new beige Capri was done to go with all of the tops and will be avail. on my next show

      1. pamela

Great! Have already ordered beige and white. Plus have super ponte alabaster boot cuts in closet. Either should work with the antique rose top on it’s way…looking forward to 11.!

  54. vickybliss

What additional colors pants (besides the beige) would you suggest for the antique rose lace top? so I’m glad it was a success. Thank you for your kindness.

    1. Lous

Because the lace is beige I like chocolate pants too. Ivory works as well

  55. Jennifer

    Louis,
I noticed Dove as a color choice for the lamb leather jacket with knit sleeves. Is this a new color offering to come and might there be others?

    1. Louis

Dove and Sapphire are the new xolors. I’m surprised they are posted so early siince they won’t be on air for months. I

      1. Cela

So Louis, I’m a little confused. Those colors do seem to match several items in your Spring ‘19 collection.
Or are these two colors for Fall? Have a great show!

        1. Louis

Yes they do, but I consider these seasonless colors. Remember I introduced them in Jan

          1. Cela

Yes, Spring came really EARLY this year, on QVC anyway.
I love the sapphire AND the grey in leather, because they are both great with black!
And how could you miss with these designer colors?

  56. Goldie76

    Louis,

Which of the colors you offer for the “Inset Lace Top” that you will show on QVC tonight do you recommend for someone whose coloring is similar to that of model Brunette Maria? I have some grey in my hair, but I resemble her more than the other models. Would Sage wash me out? The blue is to pastel for me; pastels and I do not get along well nor do I find love with Brights. Darks or darkish colors are most compatible with me.

    1. Goldie76

Even though I know I was understood, I am cringing at the “to pastel.” I meant to type in “too pastel.”

Dear Goldie, I don’t think of these colors as pastel except for the pink. Maybe you should wait to see them tonight.

  57. Happy Mother’s Day to all the Linea ladies. I was dressed all in Linea today and added a fish necklace which delighted my grandchildren. My 3 year old granddaughter asked if she could have a red one. Another Linea lady in the making!

    Hi Louis,
Help!Help! Help! I purchased the indigo lace jacket, pants and tank. Went to wear the ensemble for Mother’s Day and to my dismay the button at the bottom of the jacket was missing. I looked on the QVC website and my size is sold out so I can not even exchange it. Is it possible for you to obtain 1 blue button and 36 inches of blue thread? The jacket is gorgeous and I hate to give it up.

ON another topic, I have been a Linea lady for 2 years. I love your clothes–the designs and fabric are wonderful!

Hi Mary, Until Louis has a chance to reply, my lace jackets came with a spare button attached to the left inside seam. I just checked again and they are all there. I hope this helps.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary, as designista said there should be an extra button on the inside. Let me know if you find it. I can request another but it will come from China and that could take a few days.

      1. mary

        Dear Louis,
Thanks for your suggestion. I did check the inside of the jacket–nothing. I had also bought the ivory lace jacket, again no extra button.

In the few hours between by original post and your reply Qvc magically posted new inventory so I am just going to exchange the indigo jacket.

        Thanks again.
        Mary

Dear Louis, you have done it again! I just got home tired after being out and about all day and both the the black and red ruffle sets were waiting for me. I immediately tried on both in my regular xl size and they fit like they were custom made for me. I love both and they will get plenty of show time as soon as this weather decides what it’s going to do! The pattern is beautiful and the material is so light and the flirty skirt is divine. I will be buttoning the blouse in front of a mirror though…..lol. Off to write my review.

Hi Louis, I received my lace inset tunic in perfectly pink today. It is just lovely — so very delicate, so light as air. I purchased the larger of my numerical sizes because I wanted it to have some flow and not be tight across the hips. The only thing I thought I might do is add light shoulder pads because I don’t have a strong shoulder line. The tank in beige is posted now so that’s my next purchase and just waiting for the new ponte capri pant. Thanks once again for such beautiful clothes.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane, I think that was a smart decision on your part. Are you happy with the larger size? This top should not look skimpy. I personally like them to look easy, and dare I say it, a bit over sized. The Capri may be avail. Monday night when I present this top on PM Style. I’m later in the show. If it isn’t avail then. It will certainly be avail Weds. night when I have my 11:00pm show. It will be featured on that show. If you already own the Perfectly Pink tank, that will work under the Pink top too. I like the tanks to match the Capris. Beige with Beige and P Pink with P.Pink. This way you don’t see a line through the lace of the beige top with the pink bottom. It all blends together. Of course both do work, but I’m just a perfectionist! LOL

    Dear Louis,

I have to share with you…just got back from dinner with my husband and received three compliments on my honey Berber necklace/earrings. The owner even came over to our table to join our conversation with another couple who stopped by on their way out. The woman was admiring my necklace, asking for details etc. and I was retelling the Berber story you shared with us and the owner said to her–oh, she always wears the most beautiful jewelry! That jewelry is ALL yours, Louis! Thought you’d get a kick out of that story. I may have even sold a few necklaces tonight LOL!

    1. Grace

      That’s my message above 🙂

      1. Grace,
I purchased the Berber necklace in honey as well because I loved it in that shade however, I am not sure what to pair it with. What color did you wear it on?
        Thanks,
        Donna from California

        1. Grace

          Hi Donna,
I wore it over a blue denim shirt belted with a long faux suede caramel skirt. (It’s still chilly here in Colorado!) This was my first time wearing the honey Berber, so I haven’t paired it with other colors yet. But it’s such a neutral, I think it goes well with just about anything. Hope this helps a little…

          1. Hi Grace,
Thank you for responding. It sounds like a stunning outfit! I need to stop thinking about matching it to something and think of the necklace as a neutral as you suggested. Thanks again!

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Donna, Grace gave you good advice. The Honey Berber, which really is Amber, goes with almost anything. I love it with earthy colors like olive, brown, wine, teal, turquoise, camels etc etc. Be like the Berber people. They wear their jewelry with what clothing they own, and they aren’t concerned with matching. They always look great.
