Mr. Louis, I was watching you today on QVC and you mentioned that you would be presenting your new fishbone earrings. I believe Catia was wearing a pair. I was wondering when they would be available on QVC? Thank you so much.

I enjoyed the show- Antoinella looked great, i went back and ordered the blue ombré
top. I had already ordered the Azure to go with my
charcoal slim leg pants and the red to go
with the red slim leg. I was also able to get the brown and iris
moss crepe. Finally ordered the sapphire pants. Because
of all of that I threw in the tropical kimona.
What pants did you put Antoinella in?

I didn’t want to miss out as I know your items go quickly and I’ll be out and about when your show is on (DVR is automatic for your shows) It’ll go beautifully with the dill lace pants, the off white pants I just bought, the beige Ponte crop pants, jeans…the list goes on. Told you, I can’t turn you down!

Kate….I know you have blown your budget, but you MUST GET ONE OF THE KIMONOS. The Tropical looks incredible with the blue Bedouin necklace or the Maasai, and the Desert looks great with the honey Bedouin and the new swirl and pineapple pieces. You will regret not getting one!

I just bought all three new moss crepe tops and the off white pants and top. I was one of the lucky ones who got the Ambria coin necklace and earrings (along with the Roma and the Amalfi) and I know they will look stunning together with the off white outfit! I really want the dill top and contemplating the kimono but my budget is already blown! We’ll see what happens when I see the presentation later today as I’m a sucker for you!

Yes Debbie the solid bohos sold incredibly well, but as you know after 55 to 60 thousand skirts sold it is coming to an end. You should pose the question on the forum who would buy color pants and what colors? It would be interesting to see what they say

Could you make a pant in the grass green either in your gauze crepe or the tiger lily fabric? We have so many tops from you with that color, both new and old. For example, I have the green and ivory French jacket. I think it would be nice to have another option.

Debbie…..I agree with you 100%, but every time I suggest a color pant they tell me the same story. Color pants don’t sell well, and since they have to buy the minimum of 600 pairs per color they wouldn’t want to invest in 600 of a color pant like grass green. I guess there are some vendors like Quacker and Denim and Co that can sell their casual pants in colors, but historically they are a tough sell. I still have the tie dye skirt in orange, aqua, fuchsia and grass green. Can you imagine if I had a pant in those colors. Don’t get me wrong I love pants, Capri and crops in colors. I STILL have beautiful Aqua pants in inventory after a few years on Last Clicks. Even the red pant was a tough sell. I just wanted you to understand what I’m up against. If it was an expensive designer line where the pant would be $500 then it wouldn’t be a problem because expensive fabrics have much lower minimums.

I’m debating which color to get with the swirl and pineapple necklaces (when the pineapple is posted,) the wine or the honey…I already have the Pompeii in red/sangria but I have so many of your wine/port items and I love what you posted with the pebble crepe crop pants with the sand top, (of course I have both) but I feel the honey will be more versatile with different outfits…I don’t know what to do 😩 lol
The cathedral print that you snuck in your sneak peaks instantly grabbed my attention! The name is so apropos! It immediately reminded me of the sun light shinning through the stained glass windows of Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona. I was there two years ago and have stunning pictures of the rainbow of colors washing through the magnificent structure, it is a must for all!!! I know you said it’s not coming until October, but I hope against hope that it will be introduced earlier! Also, I know we are in the midst of summer, but will you be creating any new Whisper Knit designs/colors for the fall/winter? As does everyone, I love the fabric and want to add to my extensive collection.

Dear Cela….I’m a little confused because your talking about two different items. The Crepe Gauze tunic with the pockets is in the Sangria. the olive, straw, copper and black etc.. The style number is the ombre print top that just got posted in 3 new colors.

I am suggesting that this dress be modified for modesty but be similar: a wrap, some v-neck, same sort of colors and design. Is that possible? How well I know that the dress, as given, would be unacceptable at QVC.

Louis, I wanted to share my opinion on the Crinkle Georgette Crop Pull-On Pants. I never wanted a pair of flowered pants, let alone crop. It seems every QVC vendor had one or more of them, and showing them every day. When yours were finally shown, I got the black ones. I love, love, love them! They feel like feathers on your skin. Very comfortable. Size large fit me perfectly and even looked good on me. I love them. I think the problem with the getting off to such a bad start was that the QVC market was saturated and they waited too long to show yours. If yours had been shown in early spring they would have been a big hit. The ladies that did not get yours will never know what they missed. I did leave a 5 star review.
Karen I agree with you 100%. Just the day before my presentation GILI has an all day TSV on a floral print pant. I knew I was in trouble, but I believed in the pant because the print wasn’t loud like most QVC was showing and I knew they were weight less and would be cool and comfortable. Then some women made some negative remarks and that got the snowball rolling as they say. The reviews have all been superb, from women of all sizes….short tall, large and small. Now how to convince women to give them a try. I will be presenting them again on the 1am show on the 16th.I would appreciate it if you could start a message on the forum stating just what you said to me….exactly.

Dear Goldie….If I did this dress for QVC the wrap would be under the ARM PIT!!!!lol I don’t think they would even let GILI do such a revealing dress. There V measurement is 6 1/2 inches from high point shoulder. The only time the Vs are lower is if the weight of the fabric pulls them down. They have a thing about cleavage. I know some women complain about my necklines!!!!

For those who got 2 or more Trevi necklaces, but not the multi-stand Roma necklace, if you put one Trevi on the longest link and one Trevi on the shortest link, they sit perfectly together, one above the other, higher up on the chest, and give a similar look to the multi Roma. Then add the long Amalfi and voila!

When I asked for coin jewelry I NEVER expected anything this amazing! The scale, the weight, the shine, and all the details. Fabulous. Some of your best jewelry to date.
I ordered two of the long necklace and they look like $$$ worn as a pair. The Trevi will be worn immediately with jeans and a tee, and the triple chain one (forgot the name) will go into rotation too, but probably more this fall and winter with thicker knits.
Now, the earrings. I love the one with the beads which are so lightweight they can be worn on a hot summer day as well as in winter, but the clips! So “Italian” chic woman on the streets. A total WOW.
Here’s my next challenge for you–horoscope jewelry. I just bought a piece from Spell and the Gypsy Collective (so $$$) and I know you could do better.

Dear Yvette…..there is no need to be afraid. I am sure that bead with the misplaced drilled whole was a fluke. Still the person who assembled the necklace should have seen that it was wrong and replaced the bead. Human error, can’t help it. You just happened to be the one who got it. My apologies.
Oh Louis, I’m so disappointed! My Ambra Trevi necklace arrived today and it has a flaw. One of the beads has the hole cut on the very edge of the bead instead of through the middle. It’s so close to the edge I’m surprised that the bead didn’t crack. Anyway, that bead sticks waaay out instead of lining up with the others. The necklace is everything I hoped it would be, but it’s unusable this way and the ambra is sold out. I ordered as soon as the coin jewelry was available, and this is the piece I most wanted! You mentioned a re-order of the coin jewelry. How soon would that be? I see that there’s no waitlist available for the ambra Trevi necklace at this time. What are my options?
Dear Yvette….where is quality control? yes, they have been reordered but I have no idea if a delivery date has been set. It would be at least two months. Sorry to say the only option is to choose another color.

I just received the cobalt bead Trevi necklace and I am totally shocked. While the coins are out of this world gorgeous, the beads appeared to be dyed and are losing their color! Thank goodness I am wearing a navy pebble crepe top today because my neck and hands are all blue dye! I have the Amalfi necklace on check hold and want to know if the same beads are used.
Needless to say, this necklace is going back. I will get the Roma as I love the coins but I am very disappointed. Maybe your manufacturer will have some insight as to why this happened and if all the cobalt beads will behave this way.

I received my TREASURE of ancient coin jewelry yesterday and there aren’t enough adjectives to describe how beautiful and stunning these pieces are! The inspiration for your creations, your meticulous development to ensure perfection and the flawless execution to fruition is apparent as these pieces connote style, uniqueness, beauty and sophistication! I was tracking my delivery and had my daughter get my mail as I was at work. When I came home, I immediately “excavated” my “find” from it’s packaging with my 16 year old daughter as a witness and even she was impressed! Louis, you outdid yourself! I’m already creating outfits for the pieces! I never did that before! I always accessorized the outfit, with your jewelry pieces I develop fashionista statements, they are the star and the clothing is the supporting actor (although they too, of course, are equally significant.) Your pride and joy of your work is transparent in all that you do!

Regarding the Ambra color Trevi necklace (#50 comment above), when viewing via my PC laptop I see 4 colors (Carmine, Cobalt, Nero, and Verde). This is for J478587 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Trevi Beaded Coin Necklace. The matching earring only offers the same 4 colors. The display picture shows the light color but when you click on the item the light color is not offered.
Dear Lynn, they aren’t listed because the Ambra necklace and earring sold out….but….all of the coin jewelry has been reorder including the Ambra pieces. QVC should have put a wait list for those colors, but they are never quick on the draw.

Dewr Lynn….that’s a good question. Honestly both work because there are shiny clean gold area where the gold roller work and then the brass works well with the antiqued areas. When I accessorize the modes I just put into their accessory bag which ever one I see first….LOL. I know that’s not much of an answer, but they do both work. I think the Tortue might be too overpowering but the Etruscan could mix well. You just have to try and see what you like .

Too bad about not being able to do the blouse. The slim ponte pants went to clearance which I always understood to be discontinued; drats! Needed to reorder in a larger size.
I had to get another pair of Indigo crops because I put on a few pounds.

I have sketched that blouse as you describe, but since the swing only did fair the buyers keep passing it, but I will keep trying. They didn’t buy new Ponte pants, I did sketch them and we came close but they opted for reorders of the ones we have.
Dear Louis, today I recieved A288390 Pebble crepe boatneck tunic in Almond and it may be my new favorite Linea clothing piece. I paired it with a white cropped pant, big sunglasses, and a brimmed straw hat (not floppy), metallic gold flat thong sandals and your India necklace. When I looked into the mirror I was so pleased, I could not believe it was me looking back. I am so glad I bought in spite of thinking it might be too long or too loose. I love it, I love it, I love it. Also got my Voodoo necklace and it is perfection, even better than I imagined. The photos of the jewelry on QVC do not do the pieces justice as you can not tell how large the stones are. I also think the tunic would look great with the new coin jewelry. I am so happy with my purchases. Keep them coming and I will keep buying your creations. You are the best!
Dear Amanda, I agree the photos aren’t great, but that makes the receiving them all the better. I love the almond top. It’s one of my favorites. I love the exaggeration of the proportions…..that’s what true designer clothes are about. 90% of what’s out there is so mediocre and middle of the road. I’m trying to get women to step out of their comfort zone and create a new expanded one. I think the statement jewelry is helping with that……and yes the coin jewelry will look fantastic on that top……they look fantastic on everything.

I popped on your blog for the upcoming show dates to set my DVR. And what a surprise. I had already ordered two pieces and was tickled with my decision because I managed to talk myself in to being rational. How many necklaces could I wear?? I read about the creation of your coin pieces (Q photos do not capture detail or quality) and signed in to the Q. The whole suite will arrive soon and I will wear all pieces. They are timeless, fun and a tad glam when I want to load them up (wear all of them together). Loved the photo you took of Jac and as I read the fun you and Jac had – it made me reflect on my own time in Italy. Maybe it’s time to return. I was reading and thinking about all your wonderful stories attached to your exquisite collection of jewelry and clothing. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I remember when I had the opportunity of visiting Rome. I was mesmerized with everything there. You have just brought it all home for us. I ordered the entire collection the other day when QVC offered easy pay before I saw your photos. I went back and ordered 2 more Trevi necklaces when I saw your postings. Dear Pamela they are actually cotton/modal. They have a beautiful silky quality. They will be avail this month in Turquoise, India Pink and Black. The have a slight shape to them which is really nice. They aren’t boxy or too long.

Dear Vickybliss, first you should read all of the “fit” comments made by the women who already own them. Second look at the click here measurements and see if there is a big difference in the measurements between sizes. If it’s minimal, than you could go up a size, but remember there is give in the lace and the lining is stretch. If your hips are a problem area than it won’t hurt, but without seeing you I really don’t like giving fit advice. I think after reading the comments and looking at the measurements you will know what to do….

I just ordered the Trevi necklace in Verde. I think it will be a gorgeous complement to some earrings I bought in Rome, over 20 years ago. At the time I was a single parent, living on a tight budget and teaching in an American school in Europe. I had taken my son to Italy the year he was taking ancient history in high school. There was almost no money for personal indulgences beyond the cost of the trip. We had waited years to make that trip. I fell in love with the earrings and the exquisite matching necklace which I found in a little shop by the Vatican. They were replicas of, or inspired by, museum antiquities. The necklace was to die for but there was no way I could possibly purchase it. So, I splurged and bought the earrings. I have loved them ever since. I have thought of that necklace every time I have ever put on those earrings. I cannot exactly remember how it looked, I just remember it was absolutely killer! My earrings are unique, I have never seen anything like them. They are gold coin style with a small, smooth, green round stone in the center. The stone will work with the stones in the necklace and I think the gold will coordinate well too, although likely will not match. But that won’t matter. I never dreamed I’d find anything to coordinate with those earrings. I have to give it a shot. I feel confident they will be beautiful together. Thank you for all you do! I love your fashions too.

Dear Louis, I have absolutely no doubt the green in my earrings will go with the beads of the necklace! The type of stone and cut / shape of it looks like they were made to go together. The stone in my earrings looks like jade but I’m not sure if it is. They are not big stones but very distinctive and noticeable and well set off in the gold. Nice to go with my hazel green eyes. Wearing green always brings it out in my eyes. I think it will be a perfect match without being a 100% matchy-matchy set. Making it all the more like a treasure from long ago. I cannot fathom that they won’t look fabulous together. This necklace will be more wearable than the one I left behind in Rome, that was so grand I likely would rarely have ever worn it even if I’d had the budget to buy it back then. No doubt it was a replica of something nobility wore many, many hundreds of years ago. I think maybe I have have a little paper in a box with info on it, but haven’t seen it in ages. I need to find it. The earrings have migrated to being kept in my jewelry box. Now, I have a baby granddaughter, whose daddy is my only child and who took that trip to Rome with me. She will inherit those pieces one day. In a few years, I will let her try on the necklace and I will tell her the story of the pieces, so she will understand the story of it and hopefully will love and treasure them. I, too, ordered every piece in this fabulous new collection, but went with the carnelian in the Trevi set. If I’m wearing this stand alone piece on a daily basis, which is how I see it for myself; I want it to stand out against my many neutral colored tops, and my skin especially. It’s going to be a “wow” with the black Gondolier shirt & my essential linen shirts this summer. The ez pays QVC is offering this wknd made buying the whole collection a no brainer; otherwise, difficult choices would have had to be made by some of us, I’m sure. Every piece is amazing. You are killin’ it.
Dear April, I understand….every color is beautiful. It’s funny that you called it Carnelian, because the necklaces are made out of semi precious beads, but we chose to just call them glass because the red tape and paper work you have to go through with QVC is too much bother….All the colors are fabulous. I know you will love the “Carmine Red”.

Dear TourEiffel…the Roma earring only comes clip. We tried it pierced but it was too large, and the clip worked best. The Trevi earring is pierced.

What are you doing to me?!?!? Thanks to Debbie, I went to QVC’s website to “window shop” the new coin jewelry. I saw your sneak peak of the pieces during one of your recent shows and fell in love but I told myself hold off, want to save for our trip to London and Paris in August. Well needless to say, after rewatching the DVR’d show and googled coin jewelry (and it auto populated “coin jewelry trend,”) going back and forth between the Trevi and the Roma (definitely decided on getting the Amalfi and of course the earrings,) I bought all four pieces! After resigning to getting all four pieces, (as I want to look fabulous when I go to Europe,) then there was the difficult decision of what color of beads for the Trevi necklace and earrings…decisions, decisions…I finally chose the Ambra, I figured it will work well with all my ivory Linea pieces along with coordinating with other colors, (although I’m seriously debating on getting the Nero color as well!) But I must save for your fashion pieces you will be introducing soon. Love the shirt jacket that was on Kate (she was wearing the dill lace pants and tank on your last airing,) I have all four colors of the lace pants and LOVE them! And you mentioned on a previous post about a chocolate colored top you will be introducing this month as well. I also love the swirl/pineapple necklaces too, I can’t wait!!! Again, you bring the inner child out of me, when you’re on air, it’s like Christmas for me- I truly enjoy all the “presents” you bring to us!

Dear Rudewarr you will be very happy with your coin jewelry. I never push pieces, and I know the coins will sell themselves. We did purchase extra knowing that there will be a big demand for these pieces. I would urge you to get the nero if you really want them, because this group will sell fast once everyone catches on and one I post my sneak peek pics this weekend.These will be perfect for your trip. Bring lots of solid tops to wear them against…..The Egyptian necklace has not been reordered. That doesn’t mean it won’t but there are many things coming…….

I’m leaving for Cabo today, and thankfully, was able to place my coin jewelry order before it sells out. I got the two of the beaded version (cobalt and carnelian), both of the other necklaces, the clip earrings and the pierced earrings in Ambra. Ole!
The BD crops in blue are making the trip, along with the indigo lace pants, a bunch of Linea Leisure pants and tops, and my silver palm frond jewelry to go with it all.

Can I ask why you decided on the pierced earring in the Ambra instead of the cobalt and Carnelian to match your necklaces? That’s not to say the ambra won’t look good with the Roma and Amalfi necklaces…..just curious….Have a great trip!!!When will you be back??

Even from my house on the LI Sound I can’t see NYC it’s around the bend and further west, wrong angle. Hot dog for sure! I went sort of nuts. I ordered two of the long necklace and two of the layered one, plus two colors of the pendant (amber and black). I decided on the clip earring because I like how classic and bold it is. These are FANTASTIC.
You will love them! SOOOOO much better than the pictures. You should get the earrings to match the necklaces in the black and ambra for when you just want to wear the short necklace on its’ own.
