My wish for your birthday is that you take pause to be in the moment with the people you are with. Do not be concerned with calories during your dinner, but savor all the goodies. My husband is in his early 70’s and still is happiest when he works. It is now a matter of wanting to work and not needing to work. For some of us, work Keeps you young and alive!! With that said, I will be watching in August! Happy birthday.
Work is a good diversion for me. It’s something I can get totally absorbed it, and for a little while all seems normal.

Wanted to let you know a few things:
Received my haul yesterday – looooove the floral top with hot pink trim. Love the two v-neck style tops. Got all three colors in the moss crepe (love the iris!), and the pink modal knit. Am going back for the other colors – such a nice fabric. Received the stunning Park Ave in gold, still waiting on my other jewelry items.
I went to my 30th HS reunion Saturday and wore my blue wildflower ruffle skirt, sapphire elbow sleeve top, and your glass beed necklace in pink multi (the one you showed with the nectar lace top). Thanks for helping to make me feel confident, much more so than I was back in the day.

You share a birthday with my late Mom. I look back on old photos of her in the 60’s & she always looked put together in her clothing.
Having sangria reminds me of our trip to Spain when I was a teenager. At 16 it was legal in Spain to drink. I loved the oranges & lemons added to the wine. I even got to taste sherry from the Pedro Domecq distillery in Jerez de la Frontera.

I made a fabulous Sangria….a delicious Spanish wine recommended for Sangria, low in tanins. Some put brandy, but I prefer without. Orange juice and lots of cut up fruit…oranges, apples, peaches, plums, grapes and strawberries. It must sit for at least 4 hours, but it’s better to leave over night.
Happy Birthday Louis, another year younger and good health too. Thank you for all that you do and continue to do. Thank goodness you don’t design shoes or handbags I would really be in trouble but I love and treasure everything I have acquired over the years from your collections. Enjoy!

I recently bought the dill pants and tank top,I was wondering if the topper A302565 IN DARK OLIVE look good with the dill pieces? I understand it will not be a match but will it work together?
If not which other color do of A 302565 do u recommend besides the black.

Dear nikki….so sorry for getting back to you so late! I checked out the Dk. Olive with the Dill and it’s a NO GO. The olive has a yellow base and the dill has a blue base. They really do not work well together at all. What I do love is the Straw topper with the dill. The two neutrals look great together. I tried it with the NATURAL Carnival necklace which has straw colors in it, and the clear beads pick up the dill. It all looked so good together….Of course black will always work, but the straw looks special.
Louis, the drawstring top arrived today in the sapphire, this is definitely a sleeper!! It’s gorgeous, unique , and gives an appealing look when it comes up on the side! Will wear with all the sapphire and black items. I sized up because it is close to the body and I have tummy/hip issues. Already wrote the review on the forum.
Enjoying wearing A351114 the v-neck 3/4 sleeve knit top–nice fit, material and length. Is there any chance of additional colors for us ‘neutral’ girls?

Sounds like you had a wonderful time! Nothing better than to spend your birthday week(end) with family, Carvel ice cream cake and pitchers of Sangria!!!! (All staples for any celebratory occasion! ) I remember you and Antonella we’re discussing the different flavors of sangria (peach is my favorite.)
Sherwood Beach is lovely. Not as crowded as the LI or Jersey Shore beaches and the cool, calm water was so refreshing in the hot sun. After, we went to a great ice cream shop called Sunny Daes- they have delicious, unique flavors! Love the coffee heath ice cream flavor! After spending time in the sun, I threw on my moss crepe black dress with my new desert kimono and my honey swirl jewelry, cause I have to look fabulous 😉, and I felt chic and comfortable (even without makeup) after an exhausting day in the heat.
Looking forward to your upcoming shows in August although I’m bummed that I’m going to miss the August 26th show as that is the day we’re traveling to London. Will you be introducing anything new that day? I need to prepare as I try to order early because I don’t want to miss out on anything (that’s how I benefited in getting the Shantung jackets, coin jewelry and espresso top.) Also, I know it’s early, but any chance you can tease us with what your BD will be in September?

I also have one now on the 19th at 9:00am…..I would think they might split the new things and show some on the 19th, but most on the 26th. Louis, I think it should be pointed out that the Striped Kimonos also have small darts on either side that alter the line up of the stripes.

Dear Shelia that is true. However, in all honestly the side seam can be matched from the bottom up. What happens in the dart area happens naturally. We always present the buyers with two prices. As I said, the fronts will match but if they want the side seams matching that means the fabrics have to laid out with a lot of waste. This costs money which would mean an increase in price of the garment. I don’t have to tell you what the choice was.

Of all the Linea Fashion and Jewellery that I love – Whisper Knit is my favourite.
Will there be any Whisper Knits coming in August? Any hints?

I received most of my new goodies the other day. I worked a very long, exhausting day but HAD to try on all my new clothing when I got home late (very late!) Can I just tell you how wonderful everything is?!?! I am so happy with all of my purchases. I immediately felt compelled to leave reviews on the Q’s site. My youngest daughter was witnessing my impromptu fashion show and really admired all of the outfits, including the swirl necklace (still waiting for the pineapple which should arrive tomorrow.) I have a request: please please please make more colors of the pants!!!!! OMG I LOVE THEM!!! They are wonderful!!! I stated in my review that they make you feel effortlessly elegant and I can’t be more sincere. So comfortable, so soft, so chic- there’s not enough words to describe how wonderful these pants are. I know that it’s all contingent on how well they sell so I hope all the Linea Ladies leave glowing reviews! But I hope that you do have more colors in the works! I’m eagerly anticipating my dill pants to arrive (also tomorrow) so the dilemma is which color do I wear first? I problem I don’t mind solving.
I will be in your neck of the woods today. My daughter wants to go to the beach and based on a coworker’s recent visit, we’re going to Sherwood Beach Park. Never been to any Connecticut beaches but prefer the calmer waters of the Sound versus the high riptides of the south shore of Long Island or the Jersey Shore.

Dear Kate….I know Sherwood Beach well, but I never went there in the summer! Jac and I used to go there in the fall and winter for walks on the beach. This weekend we traded places. You came to Ct and I went to Long Island to my brothers house. My nephews and niece were there and we spent the week end in the pool! We also celebrated my upcoming birthday with a Carvel ice cream cake and I made two pitches of Sangria filled with all kinds of fruit…..A good time was had by all
Louis, I was watching the presentation from your last show that featured your whisper knit long cardigan (A287608, because I wanted to get another look at your triple strand coin necklace). I can’t tell you how I love the long wk cardigan, I get so many compliments on it and I own one in most of the colors you’ve offered. I was wondering if you would ever consider offering this cardigan in Port. I have the crop cardigan/mock neck tunic and whisper knit tunic in that color and just love it! Dear Beth…..you and I agree….it’s a great cardigan, and I think it would be beautiful in Port, but I have my doubts it will be reordered again. It’s been on air with both Jennifer and myself and it doesn’t seem to move. Maybe after being reordered three times it will not be reordered again. It’s too bad. IMHO it is one of the best cardigans I have done.

Louis, I just received your beautiful desert kimono and noticed the stripes do not match down the sides. Were they suppose to or
did I just receive a dud? It looks like when it was assembled someone pulled too hard on the material and a thin band of color was
matched with a thick band and sewn. Just wondering????
Dear Diane…….You didn’t receive a dud……due to price restriction we can only match the fronts backs. We only try to match side seams when the garment has a one piece front and back.
I ordered the dill shirt/pants, off white shirt/pants as well as the lotus top with hot pink trim. I ordered at about midnight July 15 prior to your shows as I had to DVR. I was not able to watch live. They are still in process. It is irritating! You would think first orders would get shipped first.

I was watching a news clip concerning the Kevin Spacey trial yesterday AM and noticed a court official wearing your windowpane jacket with lace, A347439. Thanks to you, women in all walks of life look fashionable.
My off-white shirt jacket and pants have also gone to backorder, twice now with an In Process showing for a few hours. I ordered during the show. Everything I ordered before the show is shipped. There is no logic to how the orders are processed, and my experience is when they get behind on processing orders, they put things on backorder which must improve their shipping stats because the items are not sold out, so you know they’re in the warehouse. For as much as I’ve paid in s/h to this company, I expect better service. As you are well aware, Louis, many of your customers only put up with this because we love your fashions and jewelry. Otherwise, I would never do business with a company that treats their customers this badly. I can only imagine the employees and vendors must not get the best treatment either. Now they’ve set about ruining HSN. Enough of my rant.
BTW, I was watching when you talked about my Thanksgiving outfit. Hope I get it in time. LOL

I know that this has nothing to do with you, but let me share with you my frustration. I imagine that other Linea ladies may also be impacted and equally frustrated.
I knew that I would not be able to watch your recent shows while they were airing live, so I taped them all. Also, knowing that the kimono and other items would sell quickly, I ordered them in advance of the show. Now all of those items have gone to “back order” status. This includes the kimono (A351112), the new pull-on pants (A351462), the new printed knit top (A347437), the new button front shirt (A351412) and the new red printed high/low top (A263353). I had planned to wear these items when I went on vacation in early August.
I simply do not understand how this happens. All of these items were ordered in advance of the on-air presentation. How can they possibly be on back order? I do intend to call QVC, ask them to explain to me how this happened, and share with them just how aggravated I am over this situation. However, before make my call, I wanted to check with you to see if you are aware of any issues that may have resulted in these items going to “back order” status for all customers.
Thank you for listening to my tale of fashion woe. I was so looking forward to getting my “haul” and wearing it all on vacation. On the bright side, all of my coin jewelry has arrived. It’s beautiful!

Dear Michelle, I feel your frustration….I have no idea how QVC ordering works….It’s crazy. It would make sense that when an order is placed it would be processed immediately. Not only that, but you would think customers would be rewarded for placing orders EARLY, but no. It seems they get punished instead. As I said I don’t know how they put orders in priority, but this is not a new complaint. I am beginning to think that orders placed during the show get handled first.
Dear Louis, Today I received my Almalfi coin necklace (J478583)and my Trevi earrings(J478585). I immediately donned my boat neck tunic (A288390)in almond with white cropped pants and a pair of low wedge gold metallic sandals and they all looked marvelous together. I topped it off with a straw panama hat that helped hold my long hair back so my earrings would show and some big sunglasses. I have not smiled at my image in the mirror for a very long time but I was beaming today. Thank you for helping me look like a million bucks, also for styling the models to show us how to achieve it. Can’t wait for my hubby to take me out on the town so I can surprise him with my new look. I see I am going to have to purchase the gold roller bracelet next. 🙂
Love the tropical kimono. Will wear it all year long. Can’t wait to shop my closet. I am waiting for the desert to arrive. I see it replacing so many other pieces—scarf, shawl, cover up. They will travel with me all the time. Love that you can dress them up or down. Thank you. I also received 5 pieces of the coin jewelry. Your write up convinced me to give them a try. Last time I was in Rome the Trevi fountain was closed for repair. I was so disappointed I couldn’t throw my coins in like I had done before. Plan to go back and wear my coin jewelry.
Hi Louis, I’m wondering if it would be possible to put your responses in a different color from the posters. It would make it easier to find your answers to questions. I’m also wondering if the font in this comment box could be larger. It seems to be about a 8-9 font size. Wonderful show with beautiful clothes and jewelry! I enjoyed it.

Debby…..it’s too early to spill the beans but the ivory I sneak peeks is called CLASSIC….the other 3 colors are all mixed pearl colors……They are very beautiful, very special and very unique.
Dear Louis, A347494 in dark chocolate seemed to be gone in seconds, will they be ordering more? I am learning my lesson about taking too much time considering my purchases. Next time I will be a quicker with my clicker.
Amanda, you know that NEVER happens with in the same season. IF it gets reordered, which these days is chancy…..it will be next year…..HOWEVER, in August I will have a ESPRESSO Moss Crepe top. The body is the same as the Onbre top so it’s fit and flare with a high/low hem, short sleeve and a scoop neck. I love it…..If it’s something that may interest you do NOT wait to order it. Every time I do brown it sells out first. Even the Moss Crepe dress that came in Admiral Blue and Island Pink sold out in the chocolate.

Dear Mary……I do believe The Black Tortue is “being” reordered, which means it will be a while. However you should not hesitate buying the Ring “Link” necklace in the black. It isn’t wild at all, as a matter of fact it is quite subtle IMHO, and much more discreet than the Tortue. I always use it to layer with because it is incredibly light and has a very open look.
Louis, I’m close to your age, and I remember during a summer hiatus selling Anne Klein in the Designer Sportwear boutique at Saks. My summer closet is about 75% Linea and 25% Basso. Have a question for you, if you would be so kind. I purchased your canteloupe beach glass necklace (2) that I love with your Rhubarb crepe maxi. Is this necklace, in your opinion, only for summer/spring, or can I wear it year round. Would it look too odd with a cashmere cowl or turtleneck and your lambskin leather jacket. I like pushing the envelope, but I’m not “Icon Accidental.” I’ve already combined your pebble crepe boatneck with the crepe maxi, and mixed your Berber and Morrocan with Yurman and Perretti. Dear Melanie. I consider the “beach glass” necklace a year round necklace. The only reason one might think they are limited to summer is the name beach glass. If I called it falling leaves [because the colors are surely fall leaf colors] no one would give it a thought. They will definitely look great on cowl and turtle neck sweaters come fall and winter.
Louis, Would love a new version of your Linea Jean Jacket! I have the Denim one from several years ago – in a light wash with the ‘L’ buttons. I have worn it and worn it and worn it! Need a new one, please consider.

Seka….I have sketched many jean jackets but the buyers never select them. I have a sneaky suspicion that it’s because they have so many from other vendors.
A253573 is a cotton pant that was one of my first purchases. A couple “on sale” initial purchases were made to try the line that I fell in love with. I too would suggest a summer pant (24” inseam so I can wear them) in a light weight cotton. Any color as you always create colors that work. I’m a natural fiber gal but because of your Linea line, I’m wearing all sorts of fabrics that were previously not considered and I’m enjoying all of them. The fabrics you use are easy wear and care. Most of all they are comfortable plus shopping at the Q, even with their quirks, is easy. I am still learning from you about colors, the benefits of correctly accessorizing, and putting together a functional wardrobe. Where else can I go to have a noted designer present their clothing line directly to me? As a non-shopper it pretty wonderful. I’m shopping again because of it. Anyway I drifted – a cotton pant would be terrific.

I agree with Jane on requesting a cotton Capri from years ago. The one I have is A255122. I have every color. I remember the reorder of this didn’t include the white option. After the reorder it was gone. The things I loved about them were the cotton and that it was a close fit, without being “sausage” tight, and didn’t bell at the bottom. Maybe q will buy with small changes like a pocket or slit.
Well…..you got me. I actually thought the free S&H ended yesterday….the day of my last show, so I was surprised that it’s still happening.
When Chauntell (sp) was modeling the long cardigan, was she showing a sneak peek bracelet, or was that something old that I missed?
Karen…..you have a good eye…..Chantal was indeed wearing a new bracelet. It’s a multi row Box Chain bracelet with two magnetic bars in the back for closure. It will be in silver, gold, chocolate, gunmetal and black. It won’t be here until the fall. Chantal, for a tall willowy think, has a very broad hand and can’t get bangle or the roller bracelets on [she can in the size large, but I never know which is the large and reg.] so these are perfect for her and Maria. They will be in two sizes.
Just ordered my second pair of your Bermuda shorts. These shorts are great in every way. I agree with others who are asking for more natural fibers for next spring/summer. Nothing is as comfortable as cotton and linen in the summer if you live in a place that gets really warm and humid. I still have your linen pants of yore and the broadcloth print pants (not so yore). I’m willing to use my iron for those summer pants.

Hi Louis, May I make a request for next summer?
Two of my favorite summer Linea pants are A214879 (Fly-front convertible cargo pants with zipper detail) and A254540 (I think these were called capris). Yes, these are oldies but goodies. The cargo pants are 97% cotton, 3% spandex. They are such a nice lightweight woven cotton. They also had coordinating cotton anoraks, also with the zipper detail. The pants are ankle length with tabs that could be used to make them more of a crop pant. They came in a chino color and an ivory. These are so comfortable and I’m still wearing them years later.
The other style, A254540, is 98% cotton, 2% spandex. They are noticeably heavier in weight, but still very comfortable in summer. They came in white, tan and black.
These are my “go to” summer ankle pants/capris/crops. I’d love for you to do some of these “basics” for next summer. Thank you!

Dear Pat, that’s it for Dill this season. How tall are you. With the sleeves rolled with the tab, it will look like a “boyfriends jacket. As long as the shoulders fit I think it can work?
FYI. The pineapple necklace only comes up when searching the item number, not automatically when looking at “Linea Jewelry “. It’s listed with shipping and handling. Had to call customer service to get it waived. Great shows. Ordered the cotton modal tops in turquoise and pink.

Great shows, once again, Louis. I bought the off white pants and shirt, the sapphire trimmed ruched top, both of those fabulous striped kimonos, all the colors of the modal tee, the chocolate and iris moss crepe tunics, both sets of Park Avenue pieces, the wine and honey swirl necklaces, and this morning I capped it off with the honey and wine pineapple necklaces. I think I’m a winner!
All my Roman coins have arrived and I could not be more thrilled! Now I’m waiting for that immense pearl necklace you sneak peeked. Was that just one necklace, or was it layered?
Dear Carol…..I should say your a winner…..your friends will be green with envy……That new necklace was ONE NECKLACE……with that on I don’t have to layer it is so lux. It comes with a stud earring and the bracelet is a separate sell. It will be offered in 4 colors. That’s called the “Classic”.
Louis, I thought you should know that I wrote to QVC’s Feedback section on my IPad that the colors of your tunic are mixed up with the corresponding pictures. I’m referring to your tunic, item # 263353. The azure and blue are incorrectly labeled. I tried two times to have them correct the error. I checked this morning and they are still incorrect. I tried!

Dear Louis, I treasure all my Linea, I still have and wear every piece from years back. If I knew then what I know now that is all I would have in my closet. I have never returned (except for a different size) or thrown out a single piece. Now I am on a Linea jewelry obsession. I need someone to hide my bank account from me. If I go broke at least I will still look chic. Linea makes me happy.
In the end Amanda isn’t that all that matters…..we have to make ourselves happy. We can’t depend on anyone else doing it for us……so look chic and be happy!
