Do you know when the Super Ponte straight leg pant will be restocked? I need the Navy and it has been sold out forever! Is there anywhere else I can purchase these wonderful fitting pants? These are the only pants I wear for work. They always look so nice. Love, love, love them.

    Louis,

I just saw that your new sheer tights (A444410) are posted on the Linea site on QVC, I’m off to place my order along with the new Loden crop pants (A302601).

I’m looking forward to wearing these both.

Thanks so much for all you do!

    Beth

  3. vickybliss

Thank you for the valuable information about the satin tanks. We really appreciate your taking time to answer our questions.

  4. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis,
Will there be any new sequin items for the holidays? I love the sequin pants, by the way.

  5. Kathy J

QVC is now making a big deal about tie dyed sweaters. You did a beautiful one several years ago. Always ahead of the pack. Miss seeing you on air.

  6. vickybliss

    Sorry it should be SHAPE.
boy do I need a spell check

  7. vickybliss

How is the new satin tank different from the faux crepe de chine tank that came with the georgette shirts? Which of your tanks is closest in shapie? Thank you for great style.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

vickybliss…..I’m not sure. Thew satin is longer. I will have to lay one on top of the other. I would think they are similar, but the weight of the fabrics is very different so they may feel different on.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

vickybliss….I measured the one that we sold separately with the lace jacket. I believe they are the same as the one with the shirt? I laid the CDC tank over the satin tank. Basically the size seemed to be the same to me across the bust and hip. The satin is longer and the straps are wider….the necklines are similar if not the same. These are numerical and I believe the shirt you are talking about may have been SML. I compare a size 4 with a size 4

  8. Sarah

Louis I liked video with Elaine and I think I spotted some upcoming items for us
    I love a sneak peek

    Hi Louis,

Thank you for the ideas!!! We can’t wear crop pants at work but that would definitely work on the weekend. I also held the top up to my gauze crepe pants in ivy from 2017 and thought it would work. I haven’t tried it just yet though. And maybe with the blue Pompeii necklace!!! 😃🤞🤞🤞

  10. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

The number of the top is A349655.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Bernadette….the A347448, pebble crepe crop pant in “Stream” works perfectly, but is limited in sizes. The linen Ponte crop pant looks good to. It may be A265615. The Linen has been reordered if there aren’t any in your size. Navy will work and washed denim in the light blue could work too depending on the shade

  11. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

Thank you for the quick answer. I just bought the floral blouse in sapphire when it was a lunchtime/primetime special. What pants other than white or black would you choose to go with it.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Bernadette I need a style # so I know what blouse you are talking about, but if it’s A347448 besides black and white you could wear navy and gray….or for fun a color like yellow Capri or crop pants

  12. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

Is the sapphire pant coming back?

  13. Joanne C

    Hi Louis
I loved your Facebook show. Your lovely clothing and jewelry is so well showcased. I am looking forward to buying the buttercream tank and blouse when it is offered.
Last night I wore my new black faux suede jacket half way buttoned up. I paired with my Linea black slim leg faux suede pants
from last season, tucked in my new Linea sapphire blouse w/scarf. Over the neck scarf I wrapped around the Linea Byzantium long necklace and used my own gold earrings. I topped it with my Linea black faux suede trench. What a hot slimming expensive looking outfit.
I never thought of pairing the Byzantium necklace with the sapphire blouse -it looked sensational. When I buttoned the black faux suede jacket, your wonderful tailoring was certainly reinforced and on display. Thank you Louis!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Joanne…that sounds fabulous! The Sapphire with the black SUEDE must look beautiful, and the jewels of the Byzantine add just enough pizzazz! I hope you were going somewhere special!!

  14. Sarah

    Good evening Louis,
Well mission accomplished on the loden faux suede pant. I also added the moss and black mock neck, and
finally the final vneck color(yellow). I also did my review for the faux suede espresso pant.
I just read how Rowena assisted with facilitating the facebook live shoot. She is a wonderful asset to you.
I so appreciated her assistance with my red trench coat. We are fortunate you have such a great team.
I was wondering where I could see a video of the buttercream sante fe necklace? I’m going to rewatch the facebook show again.
    thanks
    Sarah

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sarah….I guess when I presented the Sante Fe necklace on Jen in the Loden I forgot to pick up the Butter cream so it may not be in a video?…..This May, actually longer because we started working together before I did my first QVC show, I will have worked with her for 20 YEARS!!!! She still looks like the young girl I first met. She’s very smart and extremely good at her job. She’s very very organized, which for me is a must……Yes, I am lucky enough to work with terrific people.

  15. gapeach

Is there a link to get to last night’s Facebook Show for those of us who don’t (know how to) navigate Facebook? I know you have put direct links on here to help us see it previously, but I don’t think I saw one for the current one. I love to see those, both for the ability to see how you style them, and to get extended comments and suggestions directly from you, Jennifer and the others who assist and add their expertise to the mix. It’s always fun. Looking forward to seeing this latest “fashion show.”

    Thanks as always,
    Penny

  16. Michelle

    Louis,

I also wanted to tell you how much I also enjoyed the Facebook Live show yesterday. Thanks to you, Jennifer, Karen, Cathy and all of the “elves” behind the scenes who worked hard on the show. It was wonderful! I look forward to seeing more.

If there are any Linea ladies on the fence about ordering another color of the faux suede jacket or the new WK mock neck, I thought you might like to know that both pieces are on sale this weekend. Happy shopping!

    Michelle

  17. Cathy in PA

Dear Louis, Thank you and your team for the delightful Facebook show kast night. What a treat after an evening of unsuccessful laptop shopping! Three colors of the great faux suede jacket hang in my closet already, and you talked me into that lovely Buttercream satin shirt. With lots of silk blouses from my “suit” days I thought not needed … till I saw that styling with the southwestern belt … fabulous. And that new skirt!!!!! Had no idea it was mesh and embellishment … that will be a “MUST” :)! Thank You!!!

  18. Becky T from Tn

    Louis,
I agree with you about Jo’s outfit when she was in the field………I too thought that could be worn today! Always loved the Annie Hall/Diane Keaton style. To me, it’s timeless 😋

  19. Somersault

Louis, your attention to detail shows in everything you undertake! Everyone who works with you, adores you and wants nothing more than for you to succeed. You can see in all your live videos how much fun you have and how much you are enjoying it……….Joy is the word I would use. You are a kind man and have respect for all who work with you and that inspires loyalty and admiration and that is very rare in your field.

Loved your review of Little Women and look forward to seeing it, now. I enjoyed Susan Sarandon’s version so much more than the one with June Allyson which I did not care for at all. I did like Katharine Hepburn’s version. Enjoy your weekend and look so forward to more of your live presentations! oxoxox Cat

  20. Somersault

Louis, loved, loved, loved the live show, yesterday from the NYC Linea Studios! These live presentations are so much better than when you were on QVC. You get to take your time, explain all the details, show closeups and give your designs all the attention they deserve! Thank you so much! Makes my shopping easier. oxoxoxoxo Cat

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cat….I’m so happy you liked the show….I have to say it is so much more work pulling it all together, but it is so much more FUN TO DO! I do like controlling the flow of the presentation, and saying all that I think is necessary without interruptions….Yes, I do miss Angela, Kate, Chantal, Maria, Brenda and Katia, but I think Jennifer and Karen do a wonderful job…..ALL OF THE WOMEN DO! Elaine was gracious enough to let us disrupt her offices for the day, Rowena is the sergeant and makes sure what ever anyone make need they have, Ping and Diana helped the girls dress, undress, and hang up the clothes and accessories [a very important job when we want everything to flow smoothly]. Cathy was taking the video [she’s the leader of the jewelry company], and Sue was organizing the trays of jewelry for each presentation, and was watching face book for questions. It was definitely a group effort. We hope to do one “Live” presentation a month. but Jen and I shot many other short videos that she will post between now and the next live presentation. I hope you enjoy them all!

  21. Becky T from Tn

    Good morning Louis,
I certainly enjoyed your video yesterday. I brought the perfectly pink jacket and WK sweater and also the buttercream pants and all of these are just pure perfection! Your attention to detail is so evident especially in the jacket…….I used to sew a lot so I really appreciate all the seaming with the top stitching which is very difficult to be as straight and perfect as yours are! Thanks for all the styling tips I have the natural cathedral top so the buttercream pants with my loden blazer from this fall will look amazing! The buttercream shirt and new floral skirt are on my want list. I have the yellow plaid blazer so all your buttercream is perfect for mixing with it…….you have nailed it! Just love how it all coordinates which I know it is all thought out by you…….shopping my closet and adding your new pieces is so much fun 😋
I received my tangerine striped shirt and the tie dye boho skirt…….I may wear this everyday in Florida! The blouse fabric is just phenomenal along with the tailoring make it so wearable and special. The boho sort will be a huge go to for this spring and summer……..now the navy may be calling out to me. I got a couple of WK tanks so I am definitely on the WK train😋
Have a wonderful super bowl weekend……I also loved the costuming inLittle Women!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Becky. I am so happy to hear you are enjoying your Linea pieces. I know you will find, as so many of the Linea women do,, that the clothes get better with time, because they discover so many new ways to combine the new with the older pieces……………….I went to see “Little Women ” with Cathy [from my jewelry company] this past Thursday, and we loved it…..The authenticity and every detail of the sets and locations down to the wall paper, the drying flowers hanging in the attic was all a feast for the eye, and the costumes….WOW. I especially loved Jo’s outfit when she was in the field with Laurie. She had on her long patterned [woven wool check?] shirt with a foulard vest a wonderful blazer/frock coat type jacket in that buckskin color and her red print scarf around her neck. You could wear that today. It reminded me of “Annie Hall”. Laura Dern’s paisley dress towards the end of the movie was also fabulous. We went to dinner afterwards and discussed every detail of the movie. I mentioned the lack of a score and we both agreed, after just seeing it, that there wasn’t much of one, except the two or three times they were playing the piano. This fabulous movie should have had a soaring score…..That was our only criticism

  22. Sarah

    hi Louis
Thanks for posting the video of the live show today.
I was able to watch it this evening.
We get a better look at the jewelry especially.
    Jennifer’s hair looked great too.
I know someone suggested long pants in the crop fabrication- are we getting that?
Also did you say we are getting the ponte slim pant back? I’m glad about the
faux suede slim pant coming back in the fall. I’m still considering purchasing the loden
faux suede- I like the espresso, but prefer the slim cut. If the loden go on promo I’ll probably purchase
    and get off the fence.
I read your notes to Becky about the striped shirts. I have to tell you
that I mostly wear them with your blue jean pant and get compliments
every time I wear. I purchased all 3 colors, and wear with your white crops/ jeans during
warmer weather. I love how easy to launder, then hang dry with no ironing required.
I do wear as a shirt jacket if real warm so that I get a breeze.
Oh and any other colors in that satin blouse? I love the sneak peeks…
    Sarah

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sarah…..The long pant in the crop fabric is avail now and on clearance. Just to be clear the A265615, the crop slim pant which is one of my most popular pants is the same fabric as the A366190, long boot cut pant. There is a slim pant in the Super Ponte proposed, but I do not know if it will be purchased…..Dear Sarah….don’t hesitate about the Loden faux suede pant. It probably won’t be coming back. It was on my face book live show today and it just reconfirmed to me what a fabulous pant it is. If you like the Super Ponte pant you will love these too…..and both colors are great basics…..I’m happy to hear you are enjoying your stripe shirts!!!! The satin shirt and matching tank will be avail in the Butter Cream, the Loden and Black….all beautiful.

  23. gapeach

I just tried a wine colored silky-feel blouse of yours from a few seasons ago, and I really like the combination. It picks up the slight port stripe in the blazer. I have some of your wine sweaters, too, so will add those to the mix. Thanks, Silvia, for the suggestion. The various combinations of your Linea line seem endless.

    Penny

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Penny….what do I always tell you!….PLAY PLAY PLAY…….years ago I had a discussion with a group of AK designer customers, and they basically all agreed that the first season they bought a new
“outfit” that is how they would wear it….but the second season, when it wasn’t “new” anymore they would break it up and mix it wiyh other things they owned. Today that should be done immediately……make your wardrobe work for you

  24. Sylvia

Louis, I LOVE the caramel plaid blazer with the port whisperknit sweater!!!!!!!!!

  25. Carol

I know there’s competition. I don’t want to have to support the competition, so I’ve been buying Lands End. Theirs don’t have the stretch of your leisure fabric, which I prefer. Anyway, if you bring them, I will buy them.

Looking forward to the February shows. I’m hoping to score a buttercream blouse and tank!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’ll try on the tee……you will love the butter cream blouse and tank!

  26. Carol

Posted my review for the faux suede. When my pink jacket arrived, I was wearing a tunic length black crew neck tee and charcoal gray slim leg jeans. I just threw the pink jacket over it to check the fit, and darn if it didn’t make a cute outfit! This jacket and jeans are soooo cute together.

Would you consider making some Linea Leisure long sleeve tees in your cotton/span? I love your short sleeved tees, but in the fall and winter, I like to layer with long sleeves. (anything but mock neck!)

    Carol

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Carol, I would, but I don’t know if the buyer would buy them. There is a lot of competition from other vendors who do tees on a regular basis.

  27. Cathy in PA

What a fabulous idea Rhoda has for the Buttercream Jacket. I look forward to seeing what you do with that styling too, Louis! IF I had the figure for it, I’d wear my Buttercream jacket with my skinny, vintage hand painted floral leather Ranger belt with the small antique gold and silver etched belt buckle with it … oh, that woud be dreamy!

Here’s another Buttercream Jacket style I’ve wondered about. I did NOT actually try this combo on, but held up the pieces and thought “Oooh! Hmmm … MAYBE?”. Dear Designer Louis, might you weigh in with a Yay or Nay: Buttercream Jacket, black under piece, and Black/Latte Embroidered Skirt???

    Thanks,

    Cathy in PA

  28. Rhoda

    Louis,
Can’t wait to see how you style this!
    😊

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Unfortunately Rhoda it won’t be as I would have normally liked to show it, because I have to use what I have….but I think you will get the idea…..It’s very “Sundance” more that RL.

  29. Rhoda Toulouse

Posted my review of the buttercream faux jacket. OMG Louis…this jacket is awesome! Like I said,it’s easy to partner it with black top and gold jewelry, but I see this with a Ralph Lauren Western vibe…..how fun! What a versatile piece! I’m now on the hunt for an awesome silver conch belt!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Rhoda….YES!….I can so see this worn with a prairie skirt or one of my boho skirts a sweater hanging below the jacket and a great looking conche belt! Cowboy boots naturally! Google Real Indian conche belts to see what they should really look like. If they are way out of your budget…..personally I would rather wear a rawhide belt with a single real Indian buckle than a cheap looking imitation full conche belt….I love the idea of the buttercream jacket with a long skirt and belted tunic shirt. I have a fabulous one in buttercream coming next month. You have inspired me to show it that way on my next Live Face Book show on the 31st at 2pm!

  30. Becky T from Tn

    Louis,
Sooooooooo happy you recommend the orange tie dye bc that’s the one I really was partial to so that goes on the list! I knew you would be able to help me😋😋😋. I just received the white camp shirt and tank so that will coordinate too I already have the coin necklace and earrings which I totally love especially the earrings.
I am 5’8” and wear M/L depending on the style Sometimes I will order both sizes for best fit
I can’t say thank you enough for all your suggestions

  31. Becky T from Tn

    Good morning Louis,
I need your advice on my last minute purchases for my Florida vacation……I bought your black stripe shirt and it is gorgeous and will be great to take. Looking at your tangerine stripe shirt and you had suggested mixing prints which I love! What skirt would you suggest? Also looking at your navy tie dye boho skirt with your red WK tank and denim topper of some sort. I just adore how your clothing just works so beautifully together😋😋
I am a little late coming to the Linea party so I guess I’m trying to play catch up!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Becky….I love the orange stripe shirt with the orange tie dye print skirt. The colors look great together. You can wear the skirt with an ivory tank like A307363 and the stripe shirt with the sleeves rolled up and tied at the waist or just free like a shirt jacket. I would love the Roman coin necklaces layered with it. The Trevi necklace and earring in black would be perfect with the black stripe and I’d love the Blue or Ambra Trevi necklace mixed with the Roma Coin necklace with the orange…..Actually the tank comes in colors that coordinate with the tie dye skirts…..The navy tie dye with the orange would be fun too…..you would just have to pull it together with accessories.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Becky……it would also help me to recommend things if I knew your size and height

  32. Chris S.

    Hi Louis,
You mentioned that you will be bringing more shell necklaces this spring. Will you give us an idea in what color families the shells will be?
    Thank you!

  33. Jen

That is great news more colors are coming. I own the short sleeve swing top in black and navy and just received the short sleeve regular top in blue. They work so well in the summer and are great layered in the winter. Thanks for letting me know. Take care.

  34. Jen

Louis I received my jacket in butter creme and it fits like a dream! I’m saving it to wear for Easter. Do you know if, there are any new moss crepe tops coming in for spring/summer? I own 3 and just love the material. I wear them year round.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Jen….I know there are two reorders, the short sleeve and 3/4 sleeve swing tops that will have knew colors, but I don’t recall any new ones

  35. Cathy in PA

    Dear Louis,

Ah, I see. Well, I’ll hope the new version of the Faux Suede Slim pant gets reordered … I’d buy multiples of new Blacks for all the ladies in my family, and a winter’s worth of Navy for myself! I don’t know how I got myself so confused … wherever did I get “Pine green” from LOL? Thanks for helping me 🙂

  36. Michelle

    Louis,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Haute Couture shows. I haven’t seen the Schiaparelli show yet, but it is now on the top of my list.

I think the jackets/pantsuits at Dior caught my eye because of their structure (if that makes sense). I agree with you that the material looked stiff and uncomfortable. I kept thinking that you could have done them so much better!

    Michelle

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Michelle, thanks for the vote of confidence, but honestly that kind of fabric is so difficult to fit and drape. I think the Dior suits were incredible and only a fabric like that could achieve the styles they were in. The designer did an incredible job and the sample rooms work was impeccable.

  37. Cathy in PA

Dear Louis, Can you possibly clear up my confusion? Faux Suede Slim Leg pant … I thought it was definitely coming back in Black, Pine green and maybe something else? But by your above comment, it’s been proposed as a new style, but not ordered, so still in limbo? I own multiples of that pant, and would love fresh ones next year 🙂 Thank You!

    Cathy in PA

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Cathy….the “new” version of the slim faux suede pant has not been ordered yet. If and when it does get ordered it is proposed to be in black and navy……not pine since we already had dk. forest green.

  38. Anonymous

    Louis
Are you bringing back the Linea the faux suede petite slim leg pants(A343445). I own the black petite version. They are so Luxe especially with my new black faux suede jacket.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Anonymous…..since the pant in question was not reordered last year planning “Killed” the style number, which means the style is dead as a reorder. Knowing the popularity of the pant we proposed a “new” version of the pant to the buyer. Everything would be exactly the same except we made the waist band a little narrower which means it’s a “new” style. The change is minimal since everything else is the same.I don’t know if this “updated” version will be ordered, or if it will be ordered in a petite…..that depends on budgets.

  39. Michelle

    Louis

I’m curious about your thoughts on the Paris Haute Couture shows this week. Any particular trends that stood out for you? I saw that Dior showed several jackets/pantsuits, which I thought were fantastic, along with requisite evening gowns. I wouldn’t be surprised to see one of those gowns at the Oscars in a few weeks.

    Michelle

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Michelle….I looked at all of the shows on Vogue.com and my favorites so far are Schiaparelli, Armani Prive and Dior. Dior was surprisingly soft and feminine. Her suits were primarily in a very stiff looking metallic fabric. Some I liked but most I didn’t. I thought the dresses were the strongest part of the collection. The fringe dresses were amazing, but don’t get caught in a wind or you will be a tangled mess!! Armani always has beautiful things and his colors were beautiful. The strongest trend here were SHORT JACKETS!……Schiaparelli was very unique and I loved many things. My big disappointments were Valentino and Chanel. Though Valentino had some truly amazing things I found this season to be a miss….and poor Chanel is in dire need of Karl…..nothing stood out it was all ho hum. It will be interesting to see how long this designer stays. They are in terrible need of excitement and creativity!

  40. Noreen

    Dear Sweet Louis,
I most definitely will wait. The loden green faux suede trench is beautiful, and there are no longer any size 6 in stock. So I will definitely wait!
Please let me know what info I need to supply other than my email address.
Thanks so much. You are the best!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Noreen, as soon as i hear from Rowena I will let you know….but I know she will tell me the factory is closed and we will have to wait until they reopen sometime in Feb. This is the country’s big national vacation.

  41. Cathy in PA

    Dear Louis,

I wanted to Thank You for the beautiful faux suede jackets. They are wonderful … cozy yet light, soft yet substantial, casually elegant yet very dressy with the right jewelry … Perfection! I was able to size down one size thanks to a little holiday restraint 🙂 and Walter encouraged me to add Black, so Buttercream and Perfectly Pink would have company ;). Thank You again for this great design!

  42. Noreen

    Good evening,
I hope you are staying warm during this cold spell. Love, love, love the Linea line. Wanted to comment that I just received an olive trench, size 6, and as I saw happened in the past, the belt is missing. Any suggestions for acquiring one? I have contacted QVC, have not received a response as of yet, but am fearful the same site may occur if I return the first item and order another. Love the trench, and hopefully I will eventually acquire the appropriate belt.
Thank you for any and all assistance.
    Noreen

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Noreen….I know if the factory has and faux suede in the Loden they will be happy to make one……the only problem is they are on vacation for Chinese New Year! The year of the “WHITE RAT”. if you can wait I will inquire with Rowena. Sorry your coat showed up without a belt????? I can tell you it wasn’t shipped that way.

  43. Grace

Louis, I agree wholeheartedly with Sheila. Your models are wonderful, each and every one of them. And, it’s not difficult at all to figure out what works for our body types, especially those of us who have been purchasing Linea for many years. By now, we know what silhouettes are best for us. It’s unthinkable to imagine one of your models, a treasured part of your Linea family, being replaced! Thank you for all you continue to do for us!

  44. vickybliss

These models bring a real magic to the show. It’s like going to a party where everyone is enjoying themselves and you are with friends. We miss Jac. I kept thinking pink converse sneakers would appear. It seemed like they were hiding under the jeans in the sneak peak. Looking forward to my pink jacket. Thank you for your hard work.

  45. Linda in AZ

Hello Louis….I too always look forward to seeing Maria, Kate, Chantal, Angela and Brenda. I was happy to see them make the first presentation of the Big Deal jacket. They looked so happy to be representing Linea. I felt like I was shopping with friends. My pink and buttercream jackets in Reg 16 will be shipped soon I hope.

  46. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. Thank you for explaining the intricacies of staging the shows and dressing the models. I am a Petite and fluctuate between Medium and Large, but I have never felt that I couldn’t figure out my needs and desires by your not having a Medium or Large sized model! I always look forward to seeing the “girls’–Maria, Kate, Angela, Chantal and Brenda–and of course, the more recent addition of Katia has been a delight, as well. I don’t need anyone that looks like me–heck, I don’t want anyone that looks like me–LOL! As always, thank you for doing what you do–you are so appreciated and well loved.
    Sheila

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sheila….thank you for being so understanding….I would hate, after all of these years, to be forced to drop one or two of my girls. It’s like picking which children should go. I would be responsible for them loosing money on top of it. When you think about it 90% of on line shopping is done from photographs only with out any live models!

  47. Jane

Hi Louis, love all your designs. Do you think you could do the ponte skirt in red? love the ivory, navy and black, but red would certainly fill an empty spot in my wardrobe, thanks for the consideration

  48. vickybliss

These models bring an extra elegance and style to the clothes.

  49. Joanne C

    Louis
I am so delighted that the super ponte slim leg pull on pants are coming back. Will they again be offered in petite as well as regular.
I own several pair of the A298447 Linea petite super ponte slim leg pants. I love them. They are perfect in every way, Do you know colors as of yet.

On another front may I assume you will continue to offer A265615 Linea pull woven slim ankle pants. These are in a different fabric, but equally special.

This style of pants is so flattering.

  50. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

I DO really like Amanda. She often appears in the still shots for items and she is a WOW in many Linea items. When it looks great on her, I usually buy the item. No one really fills the gap among the models that Jac filled. I don’t think I ever saw her make an awkward or inelegant move. I miss her a lot. But I love all of your years-long models. I love Angela’s new haircut. It has made her so cutting edge and I like the look. Not a red head but Kate is always in command and so pleasant to watch. Have lost 70+ pounds with 22 more to go. But all during my plus size years I always waited to see how Maria looked in an item. I’m now buying up what I can acquire in the size 18. My doctor recommended the 165 as a stop point for my Keto eating and I’m all ready for the transition when it comes. 2019 was a total doozy for us After the death of 2 of my siblings in 2019 and the cancer of a 3rd one I don’t know if I mentioned that I had a mini stroke. That’s it for me now. When I get down to the base weight for my age and height I will be staying there. I’m on a mission to nourish my brain and avoid another stroke. I’ve been without sugar per se for 2 years now and I can live with that. At that weight/height point for me I’m close to settled in to an 18 in jackets and a 16 in pants. That is an enormous change from 3X on top and 2X for pants. So since I love and adore those blazers I’ve already purchased the red in 18 with the green, black, and caramel to follow. This way when I get down to that neighborhood I already have gorgeous clothing waiting that will fit and keep me feeling chic and sharp and happy with my Linea clothing options. A lot of other Linea treasures can be altered by me at home. The Port Blazer and the Mushroom blazer, both now sold out, I had professionally altered down from a 26 to a 22. My seamstress will not take in more than 6 inches….she believes it distorts the design and doesn’t look right. I’m fine with that. What I can alter on my own I will do and I’m slowly replacing some of the knit pieces still available from a 3X to an 18 or an XL. Chantal is always so professional. Love Jacquie when you can get her. I’m so grateful you have kept the same models over the years. All of this handful manage to effortlessly maintain the Linea look whatever their sizes. Katya is SO funny. Just makes me smille. Love her too.

Nancy…..BRAVO to you! That is a huge achievement. I’m very proud of you! I know how difficult losing weight is.It’s just as difficult as stopping to smoke which I did over 12 years ago….COLD TURKEY…..That WAS AFTER THREE ATTEMPTS at Smoke Enders! I think Amanda prefers to do the photo work more than the shows. The hours are better and I think the pay is better too?

    Louis,

I understand how none of the blond models wanted to be the one to “replace” your beloved Jac. Awkward for sure. I love all your regular models but I do like the blond with short hair you’ve had model a few times. Can’t think of her name. 😕

I also want to tell you that I especially love the gauze crepe blazer. Wore the Loden the other day. Will this be coming back in any other colors? Almost a year round item for me.

Looking forward to receiving my Big Deal! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. 😊

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Melinda…..you’re talking about Amanda. She is on the top of my list when when of the regulars calls out, but she rarely says yes. I really think she was one that felt uncomfortable. She was friendly with Jac and they would speak when they were both in the models room.

    Hi Louis,
I have received my mock neck whisper knit sweaters in black and perfectly pink. It is very cold. I wore the perfectly pink mock neck sweater under the Linea Chanel style zip front WK sweater in perfectly pink with black trim from a few seasons ago. I kept zipper pulled down third of the way. I also wore my ponte slim ankle pants in black. Perfect match of perfectly pink’s. I am so glad you use the same pinks, navy’s etc – certainly provides continuity in my wardrobe.

On another front I purchased all of the colors of the Linea Chanel style zip front cardigan from a few seasons ago. I have a lot of favorite Linea articles of clothing, but those sweaters are wonderful.

  53. Diana Keihl

    Hi Louis,
Wow! I had no idea what was involved to achieve the seamless nature of your wonderful shows. I wouldn’t want to cut any of your beautiful models, they are like longtime friends to me too and I’ve never met them! I had no idea that they had their hours cut. Thank you for your detailed answer. I’m glad you are staying home and doing your facebook shows from there! I remain your devoted fan and true Linea lady!
    Diana
P.S. I loved wearing my new Amber Tassel Grande necklace and Desert Printed Kimono over all black during the Holidays!

Louis, your loyalty to your models is to be admired! It is so rare in this day and age but that is what makes you unique to QVC and extra special to all of us. Very happy that you went into detail as to what is involved in a presentation for QVC. Most of us are aware of the restrictions placed upon you but some aren’t. It’s so different for you, now………nothing like when you were at Anne Klein and had total and complete control. QVC does not stock or order a lot of petite sizes, so that is out of your control. You work very hard to make it possible for us to have a great selection but the final decision is up to QVC. You have, always, presented a flawless show, totally from head to toe and it appears to be effortless which it is not. No one else does what you do, sketches with the total look, pictures and details regarding all the new pieces and now we have the videos from you as well and if that isn’t enough, you answer questions any of us might have and then the coup de grace………..you repair any jewelry item that is broken or tarnished for the price of postage!!!!!!!!!!

You are amazing!!!!!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are greatly appreciated by me! oxoxoxox Cat

  55. Melissa W

Wow Louis! Thank you for sharing this info with us. I had no idea how it works behind the scenes and how you have to book models, etc. I wouldn’t expect you to drop any of your beautiful models. Loyalty is important. And while sometimes I appreciate seeing a blonde model just for color reference, I can usually figure out what will work for me. I do appreciate knowing what size everyone is wearing, including Jennifer and the host, as that is often helpful in determining what size I may need, especially since as I’ve mentioned many times, I’m in between sizes.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Melissa….funny you should mention “blond” models. After Jac passed the blond models, of which there are few, passed when I tried to book them. I guess they didn’t want to be the one to replace Jac. This I was told by one of the models. I understood it could be awkward and uncomfortable for them.

  56. Rudewarr

    Good Morning Louis!

I feel terribly guilty as I have not been writing to you and the ladies on your blog as the demands of the holidays, new job and family have made me extremely busy. That isn’t to say I haven’t kept up with reading your blog, watching your videos and buying a lot of your designs both for myself (of course) and my godmother who received a strictly Linea Christmas with the Vino faux suede trench, tropical kimono and silver bugle bead necklace. She loved it all! It was like hitting a home run with each item but I knew I hit a grand slam with the necklace as I wore it to a holiday party and she (along with multiple others) admired it tremendously.

Just wanted to let you know I love the BD jackets (yes, expedited shipping- I learned from the ladies here that’s the only way to guarantee to receive proper color/size) I purchased the Pink, Loden and Black. I’ve already left my review…5 stars of course. Hopefully that will help any ladies on the fence with their concerns.

Just wanted to touch base as I have to go back to work. Hopefully we won’t get a lot of snow just enough to make it picturesque sans the danger.

    All the best,
    Kate

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Kate….I’m so happy I helped to make your Christmas a success, and thrilled your godmother loved it all..enjoy your jackets…..Happy New Year

  57. Pamela

It’s always something huh Louis? Haha. Bless your heart…as we say here in the sunny south. It’s a wonder you still do any of it! But I am so thankful that you do.! Pamela

  58. Sarah

    Good Morning Louis,
Loyalty of you and your models is appreciated.
Perhaps you could also start stocking 1x so that
beautiful Maria is also covered. I’m a medium,
but use her as a guide. It’s a shame that
the ladies hours were cut. Thanks for being
loyal. Because of your loyalty to your lovely models, I also know how
something will fit me after I see it on A,B,C,K and M based on my
previous purchases. Sometimes I’ll review videos on youtube
    as a reminder.
    Happy Saturday
    Sarah

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sarah, as i said it’s complicated. I can’t get 1x samples because it’s a single SKU and has to be pulled from production singularly which they won’t do. Pulling the multipuls in XXS and the 4s is easy for them because they are all in one box….what can I say…..nothing is easy and everything has become a problem with only more to come.

  59. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

Will there be more new colors coming to us in the super ponte pant for spring/summer?

    Hugs,
    Bernadette

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Bernadette, the Super Ponte crop pant will be returning for spring/summer and the Ponte slim pant will also be coming back…..the long Super Ponte will come back this fall.

  60. Diana Keihl

    Hi Louis,
Happy 2020!! I’m not sure if you can request this but I would love to see a size Medium and a size Large model in your new items that are presented. To only see xxs, xs and 1x is not helpful in deciding whether or not a garment would look good on me. Also, I have heard petite ladies say online that they would like to see a petite model in your new offerings. Always try to include Medium, Large and Petite. This may be out of your hands but if you have any input please add these requests.
Thank you! And thank you for the bell ringing for my positive cancer results, I needed that!! xox
    Diana

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Diana…..this is a very complicated situation on many levels. Firstly, I have used the same 5 models, Angela, Kate, Chantal, Brenda and Maria for almost the entire time I have been at QVC. I am very loyal to them and they are loyal to me, and never say no to any of my shows no matter when the hour. They have been with Jac and I thought the good times and with me through the bad times. We are all very close. Now that QVC has stopped all live shows from 2am to 7am the models have lost a lot of money without these hours of bookings. There have been times when one of my models has to “call out” and I have tried to book another like Jacqui, but they may not be avail for one reason or another, and since I do not book them all the time they have no reason to try to arrange it so they can do my show…..again it’s a matter of loyalty. WHICH MODEL SHOULD I DROP after all of these years to bring someone else in????? I realize it’s business, but loyalty to these girls, for me is very important…. Another important reason I book the models I do is because QVC has a new policy and they do not keep all sizes and all colors on ALL CLEARANCE items, and items that are not on clearance but a color in a certain item may be very limited, like white pants, they won’t have avail!…..so I ship to Jennifer ALL OF THE SAMPLES she will need in either size xxs or 4 which I have. I have every item in every color in these sises so they are always avail. for the shows. This way when I plan the show I know that we will have the samples in the colors needed. I used to bring down bags of samples just to be sure I had them for the show because I never knew what would be avail . It gets very involved and it has become more and more difficult to plan shows the way I want to see them without making major compromises. If a style has below a certain amount of inventory the samples aren’t avail. so there are many times I have to send my samples of pants just so the models will have something to wear on the bottom. I don’t use a petite because many of the hosts are petite, and I don’t offer many petite clothes. Using a petite model would be very difficult working her into the line up. There have been times when Jen and I have done shows where the stylist has told us a certain style in a certain color was not avail so we have had to drop the “look” from the show at the last minute. For instance in the last show Maria was supposed to come out in the botanical print tops, but even thought they had many sizes in inventory in the color she was to wear…they didn’t have the 1x because that size was sold out…..so Maria was dropped from the line up…That won’t happen with the other models because I will have the backup samples….It has become very complicated to put shows together. As a viewer it may all look seamless, but it is not easy to accomplish what I want a show to look like. I guess I am very exacting, more so than any other show presented. It is just much easier to put a show together knowing I have all the samples we will need to show the clothes properly. I hope my situation and particular problems explain why I use the models I do. PLEASE DO NOT REPOST this message as this is for the ladies who come here only for reasons I can’t discuss.

  61. Pratt

Received my big deal jackets in pink and buttercream and the mock neck in pink. They are so delicious like ice cream 😃Strawberry and butterscotch! I have all other pieces in the faux suede but something about this feels even more cuddly and cozy. Probably the length makes it lighter than others. Love love love the jacket. The mock neck is fantastic too! Got it shipped fast so that I can take it with me to India trw 🙂 Thank you thank you !!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Pratt….I’m so happy you like the jackets and mock neck sweaters! No one can really judge how wonderful they are until they have them in their own hands and try them on. They are like little cozy cardigans. Please don’t forget to leave your review and comments. I know there were many women on the fence, and i’m sure your opinions will help them decide one way or another……Have a fabulous trip to INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!

  62. Jen

Hi Louis. I ordered the big deal in butter creme and can’t wait to get it. I also ordered my third top in your moss crepe in short sleeve. Do you have more moss crepe tops coming in for spring/summer? I also ordered the Byzantine bracelet for my mom for her birthday and she loved it!

  63. Ceice

I do expedited shipment for important items. I compare shipment for standard and two day shipment. If standard is $5.50 and if the difference is not too bad. I pay for expedited so I can relax and have peace of mind. To me it is worth it.

  64. Joanne C

How do you ladies get your stuff so fast. I purchased 2 whisper knit mock neck sweaters. They will be delivered tomorrow, but faux suede jacket is still In Process.
