Dear Elaine…..I haven’t heard about my cousin. I believe she is still in the induced coma, which is a bad sign. All we can do is wait and hope. I understand about waiting to make the cheese cake. It really does take a LOT OF WILL POWER not to eat one piece after the other……Happy Palm Sunday!

LDO!! I’ve been meaning to drop in and say hello. Very sorry to hear of your cousin’s passing. These are dark days to be sure, but I hold out hope for a better world on the other side of this.
Beautiful things are always a reminder that life is beautiful, so I snapped up TWO of the new Samburu cuffs and the earrings (nothing better than matching cuffs one on each wrist). Looking forward to those. I have received the new white blazer and its got all the LDO bells and whistles. Love it and will go back for the black. I also have the entire Gypsy suite and have worn a lot. I ordered the Jac’s Garden scarf in three colors and just went back for two more of the ivory. Was there a necklace that went with that?
I am not much of a cook but that cheesecake looks delicious and easy enough. I’ll be giving in to the “stress baking” movement and cooking up this week. In the meantime, much love and good thoughts. Kate
Dear Kate….it is so good to hear from you. I haven’t heard from you since you moved to Florida. I hope the new position is all you hoped it would be. When I don’t hear anything I start to get worried. I remember fondly all of the “chats” you and Jac had about your “Red Carpet” outfits. She loved doing that with you!!! Trust me, I’m not a great cook either. Jac started to teach me. She wanted me to know the basics. I’ve been reading her receipts and one by one I’m giving them a try. I’ve now made 4 or 5 cheese cakes and they have come out really good. It’s just following the steps. The only thing you really have to do is press the cottage cheese through the sieve. The rest is just measuring and mixing. Even the graham cracker crust is pretty easy to make. So glad you got the Gypsy coin pieces. Thy really came out great…..As per your request….there will be a Zodiac necklace coming in the near future! I hope you like it……Any other requests????LOL….no kidding I could use some inspiration!!! There was a necklace and earring set and spiral bracelet that was made for the Jac’s Garden blouses and scarves, but I couldn’t find them on line. I will check to see if they sold out. I would recommend the Glitteratti necklace in the cobalt blue. It really looks fabulous on the print. Also you may already own some of the faceted glass bead necklaces that went with the Botanical prints. There was a Multi that works really well…….Please don’t be a stranger……An hello would be perfect!……PLEASE stay safe!!!!
Kate word came back…the necklace and coil bracelet called Jac’s Garden that went with the blouse and scarf have sold out.
Received the shantung tunic and faux suede bootcut pants today. I’m not really a brown shade gal but your chocolate is a beautiful color. They were not purchased to wear together but because of the perfect color match they will be. Finally ordered the buttercream satin poly blouse, the black and green are already at home in my closet. The hesitation on the buttercream was due to the color – would it fade my completion? No! It is a wonderful neutral, universal color. Dear Carolyn……,I think the Espresso shantung jacket and the faux suede pant will look fantastic together and a nice way to extend the wearing of the jacket. It will truly become a year round jacket….Your reaction to the buttercream is the same as many other women. At first they are afraid the color will wash them out and not be flattering, but over and over again women are so surprised at how flattering it really is. The reason for that is the color has more “life” than you all realize, but it’s so neutral that it works with so many things…………..enjoy discovering just how many things you can wear it with………………….Stay Safe, Stay Well
Louis, your new black blazer with the pearl buttons was delivered today. I tried it on with the white t-shirt and jeans I was wearing. Wow! This is classic Linea at at its best! I’ve always loved the way I could pair your classic styles with the more relaxed clothes I owned, and end up with something terrific. This blazer is the perfect example. I am so sorry to hear of your dear cousin’s passing. I hope Jac is looking after him now for you. The situation here in PA varies somewhat, and is very bad in many places, even if not on the news. We like everyone, worry so for our family, especially our first responders and medical workers … we have a great number in our family, young nurses, PA, and our beloved son-in-law, who’s a paramedic on the front lines. Reports are all beds are FULL, so it’s especially important that anyone who can, STAY HOME. I know I don’t need to tell anyone here that; compassion runs deep here :). Louis, I look forward to your posts, the beautiful flowers, the SEA I was so looking forward to visiting next week in Malibu with friends … shed a few tears this morning, and there you were … with Jac’s garden and even a glimpse of the sea for me. You turned my tears into smiles. I’m so glad you’re safe where you are; we are well supplied and very isolated in our little town; with lots of contact with family. Our daughter is working on a way to connect 3 families online in a “meeting” to play boardgames “live” together 🙂 Leave it to a science and reseearch university librarian to figure out how to get … well, anything done … ask or hire a librarian. Dear Cathy…..thank you for relaying my good wishes to Kate. Aaron my dear friend, was one of Jac’s best friends. She, for lack of a better description, does hair for actors on movie sets, and she has private clients. Her list of stars that she has worked with is very long. Anyway she was working in PA near Brandywine, doing a Net Flix movie, and it was shut down who know’s for how long, so she went home to Florida. She was shocked at how lax the commitment was by some people to stay in. When she first got there the beaches and restaurants were all open. The Governor took his sweet time to get with the program. Now they are saying Florida will be the next state hit hard. I think a lot of the fault is due to his lack of leadership…………………I worry for her….Aaron has health issues too………Say hi to Walter and tell him to stay out of harm’s way!!!!

Dear Pat, thank you for your words about my cousin. He was already in a very weakened condition from an untreated tick bite years ago so he had no defense against this virus. As far as i know Angela, his wife is still in the hospital. It’s hard to get word……She’s a very sweet person. I can’t imagine what it will be like for her when she wakes up, if she wakes up to learn about Frank. They were the type of couple, like Jac and I who were always together and did everything together…….I’m so pleased you like the Status Chain necklace. It really is a beauty. I’m so sorry to hear that you have lost a cousin to this scourge. It is shocking what is happening. Right now, I am listening to our governor, Andrew Cuomo, whose own brother has the virus, do his daily address to our state. He is the ONLY one we can trust right now to give us the straight up facts, and it is very comforting to know that he and your governor, along with NJ, have formed a coalition to try and fight this horror that has struck our country. So many of us have friends and family in other states who are not so fortunate. One of our sons is locked down, alone, in his apt in NYC; we are terribly worried about him as he has asthma and has no protection when he has to venture out on the street to get groceries from his local supermarket, which is overwhelmed for deliveries. No hand sanitizer, no masks, no disinfectant. I have asked him to text me every night to let me know he is OK. Our other son and daughter in law work in a large hospital in Rochester and are first liners. I’m sure many of your Linea ladies have stories such as mine. I should be planting pansies right now, as you did in your beautiful garden, but my husband won’t let me go to the garden center, as we lost our youngest son a year ago to an accident, and the thought of any more loss in this family is unbearable. Groceries only, every 2 weeks. We will endure and survive this, but what this will do to us as a people remains to be seen. Take care of your own sweet self.

Dear Louis, I’m sorry to hear about your cousin’s passing. These are scary times. I live in NE Ohio and two weeks ago my husband and I drove up to Michigan and brought my 86 year old mother back with us. Since then she has baked a cake, 4 dozen cookies and a pan of brownies. At this rate I won’t be able to fit in all of my Linea clothes! I took advantage of the sale on the q and have several pieces heading my way. Please take care of yourself.

Dear Joanne….the pants are unlined. If Elaine and the QVC buyers felt they should be lined, believe me they would have been. Jac hated linings too, and she would always have me cut them out. She didn’t care if pockets showed through a little.

I took advantage of the sale to buy the buttercream blouse, tank and matching pants. I had been eying that outfit for awhile. I wish QVC had listed the matching pants for the blazers while on sale. I already took advantage of the blazer sale.
Jennifer is a great brand ambassador. She does a good job explaining Linea. She also is a good walking advertisement for Louis’s clothing. I always look at what she is wearing. She acts as an additional model for Linea.

Good Morning Louis and Ladies,
As the others, I have taken full advantage of QVC’s unprecedented sale, granted this is an unprecedented time. Seven Linea fashion pieces, seven Linea jewelry pieces (contemplating an eighth) as this is extraordinary! So many wish list items finally granted. As I said in a previous post, I’m going to have to run to the mailbox and sneak in my treasures as my darling husband will just not understand! And items I recently purchased, which within the last year is exclusively Linea- but that’s for another conversation at another time, QVC customer service honored the sale prices, so take advantage Ladies!
Louis I was wondering, since all designers are now representing their brands from home through Skype, will you be doing the same on March 31st and possibly the April shows? I know we would all LOVE to see you back on the Q no matter what the format!!!

Dear Seka….I have to agree with you. QVC is doing a great job of taking all precautions to keep their staff and the models, who go in and out, safe. These super sales are a great thing for the customers and for all of the vendors who depend on sales to get new orders, so as far as doing business, it goes far beyond QVC. It’s good to see that QVC, with these sales, is willing to cut their profit to help everyone out.

Hello Louis…there is a new blazer posted! A378656 in black or white with pearl buttons. So classic but with a fresh attitude. I am sure it will be embraced by the Linea ladies.
They are posting these things so early! They won’t be on air until the April 28th show which is a month away.The pictures are so deceiving. The black blazer looks short. There is a lot of rise on her pants showing, but the ivory blazer looks longer which is correct. I can only think the model with the black blazer must have a long torso?????

I think I was scared by the slim leg title since I’m a pear shape.
I ordered the larger of my linea size because I wanted a looser fit in the calf compared to how some of the models wore it.
These feel slinky and wonderful. They have laundered beautifully and air dried quickly for me.
They also have pockets which is always
a plus for me. I needed a dressier ivory (not jean)and navy pant and am glad I finally decided to try.
The length is perfect for me at 5’7”.

Continuing thoughts on previous post: I worked from home for 20 years and regularly dressed up in my Linea, including jewelry, to keep my spirits up. I too played with combinations and colors. It is a little thing one can do to help make the isolation more bearable. During these down days, I have been cleaning my closets and discovering forgotten treasures. I have taken off my stress weight since retirement and thankfully squirreled away my original size in my Linea. In my larger size I am making outfits and packaging them up for needy recipients. It helps to keep busy! Speaking of oldie but goodies, yesterday I found A219799 (python print faux wrap top)! Wow this has an amazing ability to camouflage!!!! Brilliant design! Would love it in a new print. Thanks for all you do! It helps to see you and Jennifer!

Sarah….BRAVO to you!!!! Because we live in such trying and difficult times I think we should do all we can to lift our spirits. I don’t listen to the news except for 15 minutes a day! I figured who needs to hear all of these depressing statics all day long. If any break through should happen I’ll hear all about it during those 15 minutes…..otherwise it becomes to depressing and weighs on you……so keep dressing up and looking great on your porch…..even if it’s a fashion show for one!
Yes Louis, I was referring to A343162 – the incredibly perfect blazer! I THOUGHT I had read here it was being reordered. Of course that could have changed just like everything else right now 😉 I was really looking forward to more perfect blazers in new colors.
You are correct in that you did read that and it was slotted to be reordered, but that was before we knew the prices on reorders had to go up. We don’t know if QVC will accept the increase or not. Unfortunately, even though our price is the same, everything else has gone up.

Forgot to say that I found the shantung jacket at Amazon. Marked down and they only have a couple of individual sizes and very few of those. At least Amazon gets them here with incredible speed compared to our QVC shipping.
Louis, I know you don’t like to tip your hand too soon, but your blazers in the trench coat fabric have become a big staple of my new smaller-sized wardrobe as I close in on losing what in the end will be a total of 95 pounds. This has brought me down a lot of sizes and I’m working like a beaver altering what I can and giving all the rest to charities. I recently got lucky and found the shantung jacket in the size 18 which is my new comfortable size. I found 1 in the India Pink and 1 in the Lime. Still looking for the turquoise. Then the 3X versions go into the Catholic charities bag. So cutting to the chase, can you, might you, would you please consider revealing the colors that will be coming in the blazer reorder??????? It will help me saving for them and keep me motivated trying to size everything else down to go with them. I will even promise not to tell if you prefer.

Has the Moss Crepe A353587 scoop neck, short sleeve top been ordered in more colors? That has been my go-to top since last summer. It has such a flattering neck line and short sleeve.
No it has not….as you can see other than white all colors are avail in all sizes….so it has only sold marginally, and doesn’t qualify as a reorder style. I’m glad you are happy with it. I thought it checked all of the boxes….short sleeve, scoop neckline for summer wear an a shorter body which many have been asking for, but the longer lengths, though there are some who complain about longer lengths, are the ones that preform best.

Greetings from Wisconsin. We are retired and bunkered down, trying to do our share to not add to any stress on the medical system. So far the county I live has only 5 cases. I am communicating with friends and family via text, email, and telephone and we all look forward to going back to normal where we can meet and greet one another with a hug and kiss as we usually do. I grew up on a farm with little money so I can adapt well to making do with little. My husband and I have started to play Gin in pj’s with a cup of coffee in the morning, and another tournament before dinner. My purchases are limited to Linea essentials. 😀😀😀. I love “Jac’s blouse” so much I purchased the ivory, tourq, and black. Louis, please make more in this fabric and style – it’s a winner. To all, I hope all stay safe and well.

I stay away from the Super chains where there are long lines. Won’t name them but you know them.
Went to smaller stores three days ago and found it a little crowded but now I’m pretty well stocked.
If I go out I wear my mask which is heavy duty. Looks like Rubbermaid but I already had it.
I’ve been sticking with light snacks and fruits, which I wash in SOAP and water and hope for the best.
Beef and fish are proteins I really need so I find them at my favorite stores. In West LA it’s a ghost town
And very errie. Our famous freeways are empty and there’s no traffic to complain about!!! But wait, there’s
the upside, I’m cleaning out the clutter and creating a new house!!! 😊
Another upside Cela is….pollution around the globe is down. They showed pictures from outer space of the globe and how pollution has diminished! Less cars and planes, factories closed etc etc have made a huge difference in a short time. Just goes to show what humans are doing to this planet.
Louis my sister lives in New Canaan and she goes online to order groceries and then her husband drives to the store to pick them up. Someone brings the bag to their car in the parking lot, although her husband did have to go into the store to get their bag when no one was able to bring them out to him the other day. They said sometimes they get a refund when something they ordered is out of stock. Maybe you and Lou can do this so you do not have to wait in any line?
Last time I was at the store I saw an employee cough directly on the mushrooms. Bless his heart he was working on restocking the produce, but it showed me we must wash our produce before putting them away at home. Take care and stay safe!

Dear Cela….I am doing just that, however today I had to venture out. FedEx, bank and grocery store. Fed Ex was empty and so was the bank. They are only allowing 2 people at at time so there is no line….smart. The grocery store is another story. I try to get in and out . I don’t get too much and get on the express lane. How is it where you are?

Just curious when the new colors of the lace inset top A351465 should be arriving. I have and love the antique rose and sage and always receive compliments when I wear them. Looking forward to the new colors, although I know I’ll have a hard time deciding which to get. 😊

Louis, speaking of the Crinkle Georgette safari shirt, would the Bright Coral look good with the Crinkle Georgette Crop pants in Espresso Multi? There is a coral color in the pants but it’s muted.

Dear julie, I checked the two together and they look wonderful together. Yes, the coral in the pant is a little more muted, but they are the same shade of coral so they do look good together. I actually prefer them not being a perfect match….that would make the two pieces look too much like a set. The fact that they are all in the same fabric makes it one breezy cool outfit.

season to discontinue the world renown Safari geogette duo? The only top you feel fully dressed, cool and comfy, too. Tailored and feminine at the same time; saturated colors, full of life , floaty and full of drape ability. I can’t help it.
There were just sooooo many colors left to do, and the fabulous fire cracker, sea blue, and turquoise
which I missed out on. What if you asked the “Q” how much more would it
be? I’D BE willing to pay more! Just to put under my plaid blazers ( all of them ) and leather jackets that I will be able to wear through summer nights in L. A. would be a dream ! 😌

Bernadette…..I have become a recluse hermit….LOL. I only see Lou twice a day when he comes to take care of the girls, or if I have to make a run to the grocery store which I try to keep at a minimum. The new ombre tops aren’t due until I think July?. I don’t even have samples yet! So no sneak peeks on them for a while.

Hello Louis, so I went ahead and ordered the Espresso because I trust your advice. I’m sorry we older are housebound for awhile but the last thing I want is anything respiratory illness. I can take the flu for a couple of days but not breathing issue. I had pneumonia once and never again I hope. It’s very painful so stay home and stay healthy. I have been looking in your jewelry line for a RED necklace, preferably chunky in style, but have not found anything in what I call a true red, like Christmas Red; not blue/red, orange/red, etc. The QVC forum gals told me about a Multi Shape Bead Torsade Necklace you had that came in red, showing me a photo of it with several other red necklaces hanging with it. I’m sorry it is no longer available, as it is exactly the type of necklace I have been looking for. One of the gals also mentioned you had a 6 Strand Bead Necklace in red (J290366), no longer available. My question is: Do you anticipate creating and bringing to QVC a true/Christmas red necklace in the near future? In the meantime, I have purchased two red necklaces of far lesser quality than your jewelry to get me by, in hopes that you will be coming up with something soon. Dear World Traveler…..sorry for not answering sooner……some how I didn’t see this?……The GOOD NEWS is…..YES, I will be having a fantastic RED NECKLACE coming this spring, supposedly in May, but the way things are with the virus….deliveries have been late due to workers arriving at the factories later. There will also be a fabulous earring and cuff to match…..PLUS it will also come in BLACK and WHITE. Good black and white necklaces are few and far between. I’m sure you will love it. It’s a torsade CHUNKY style.

Dear Tia….the good news is, yes they are coming back…..the bad news is, in a limited way. If it were up to me, and i would guess many of you, they would be coming back in many colors……but the buyers are only brining them back in black and one new color. At least my most successful pant is continuing, and I will push to get them reordered again!
