I hope you are well on this beautiful Sunday morning. Hearing the birds sing and feeling the warmth of the sun on my face are both comforting and encouraging during this troubling period. Just a quick question….my rather failing memory seems to be searching for the time you mentioned that there was a new color or colors coming in the kimono. I absolutely love the tropical kimono, and am looking forward to a new iteration. I wear an xxs and since that size seems to sell out quickly I certainly don’t want to miss it!

Dear Noreen, the Kimono is due this July. I don’t have any July dates yet. However, since this is a reorder with one new color they tend to post them as soon as the inventory is in. They used to hold things for the shows, but it seems they are doing that less and less, even with new items. So July would be the time to check in……..and yes the very small and very large sizes seem to sell out first, because those are the sises they buy the fewest of. They work on a curve as most retailers do….so Sm, M, LG, Xl and 1x are the sizes they buy most of.

Do you have any plans to bring back the longer trench coat (A343460)? I loved what you did with the matching turtleneck and the matching pants. CLASSIC! Is there any chance you could make the trench coat in a faux suede as well as in the original fabric? It also would be great to have matching suede slim pants, ponte slim pants, ponte (and/or faux suede) long straight skirt), and Whisper Knit turtlenecks. Now, if QVC would just let you sell matching berets, I would be perfectly content.
Dear WwF….the long trench was supposed to be reordered this fall….but….since the price has to go up I don’t knmow if QVC will agree with that Since reorders are always supposed to be the same price…..even after 3 years! in today’s world that’s impossible.

I just received the very pretty crepe gauze top in the denim blue. I love it buttoned as a blouse, but I also tried it worn open with the crepe gauze tunic tank in black. I have various styles of the crepe gauze pants in black, including the wide leg ones from a few years ago. I’m wondering how you feel about the front of the tunic hanging below the front of the shirt and the longer length at the sides. I’m just not sure about all the different lengths going on. I’m not one to belt the tank.
If you think the tunic tank is okay with the new top, I might also order the white one. I have a variety of colors of the crepe gauze tunics. How would a color showing through the white look?

Dear Chis I love the way everything you described sounds! Today layering different lengths is common place so don’t worry at all. I never worry about a color showing through a white top. Fabric are thin and it’s expected or otherwise our clothes would have to be made our of lead! Just pull the colors you are wearing together with the accessories….i.e. necklaces….During the 2pm show with Jayne Brown, Jane switched Katia from the blue top that you have with the ivory one, Katia was wearing the black double pant over the blue. Jayne kept saying that of course Katia would be wearing the black and ivory double pant, but I though the three colors looked fabulous. The ivory shirt over the black pant with the peek a boo of blue…..so mix away and have fun….When you color block which is really what you are talking about, if I understand you correctly, the ivory top over a color over the black crepe gauze pant. It would look spectacular over the double layer pant of black and ivory….carrying the ivory down from the shirt through the pant with a accent of whatever color you wear under the shirt. It will look fabulous!
Dear Louis, I absolutely love the embroidered skirts (A351463, A351464). I have both the Vivid Blue and the Latte colors. Will you be bringing out additional colors? I would love to see a solid silver, a solid gold, a solid navy, a solid perfectly pink, a solid ivory or alabaster, a solid black, a solid red, and a red and black combination one. These are such beautiful skirts. Any additional colors or color combinations would be wonderful.
Dear WwF, the emb. skirt is supposed to be reordered, however the price has to go up. Due to the increase I don’t know if QVC will accept the new price. With reorders they always want the price to be the same, buy these days that’s almost impossible

Hello Louis…I just received the Venus Shell Necklace! Oh my goodness, how pretty and magical! The colors on mine start with coral pink at the top, with pale yellow to light green in the middle, and a deeper blue/green at the bottom. It is hard to describe, as it changes with the light. The colors of the shell are perfect with the pastel beads and gold edging. Thank you for this inspired piece of jewelry.

Liz, I’m surprised they were canceled since the necklace is still avail last time I looked. The earring and bracelet are sold out, but they could have put you on a wait list unless they were very over sold. All that said I never know what “they” do. I’ll ask about reordering them if possible.
Received my clam shell necklace today. Great summer piece – and fastest delivery I’ve ever received from the Q. Ordered 4/21 & delivered 4/29. Hope my other orders arrive soon too. Oh, they did say the gray inset lace top has been delayed. It was ordered at the same time. Circling back to the necklace – I’ve already held it up to a few tops and it will be a fun versatile piece. Louis, I just received the layered pants and for a person that does really like wide leg pants I love the way these flow as you walk and they are so unique. I took your advice and shopped my closet and found some whisper knit tops that look very good with the pants. One in particular was the black bell sleeve sweater with the pearls. You had mentioned a polkadot top would look cute and I had a very casual top and it went great with the pants. I enjoy getting ideas from you because sometimes I am stuck in my Ways about pairing what I consider a more formal look with casual but I am learning. I also ordered the elephant necklace, love elephants, and also the Massai necklace but have not received them yet. Probably will order the bracelet as well. I love the ethnic jewelry that you design, I hope maybe you can do an Egyptian look. Thank you so much for helping me look at what I have in a different way.
Dear Jojo…I an so pleased you like the double layer pant. I think they looked great on the show, both on Jacqui and Katia who looked spectacular. Jacqui in the black and ivory pant with the ivory top look fabulous. I have to disagree with what was said about having to wear something under it. I have done many tops in white gauze crepe from tanks to tunics, and all you need is a nude bra, and you can’t see anything. The top is so loose and flowy that it doesn’t cling to the body. If someone must wear a something under it…it should NOT HANG below the top. The stylist put the WK V-neck tank with the rib bottom on Jacqui which was the wrong choice. She should have used the faux de chine ivory tank and tucked it into the pant if necessary…….If you really want the bracelet to go with your new Masaai necklace, you should consider getting it now while there is no shipping and handling charges. You will love your Elephant pendant.

Louis, I was excited to learn there would be free S+H on ALL your beautiful jewelry on 4/26. Got up early this morning to order the Elephant Walk necklace only to see the free S+H is not being offered on your new items. I should learn to never be surprised at their always unexplainable behavior.

Sorry for putting you on the spot. I know it’s a hard question for you to answer…I just thought if you were selecting an outfit for one of the blonde models you might have a preference.
I wear jeans a lot. It’s just my lifestyle and easy with the dogs, even when I go to work.
I’ve worn the antique rose and sage lace tops with jeans, with ivory or sage Marc Fisher sandals.
I also have one of your style pants in a light khaki color, I can’t remember which exact ones though.
I thought the gray top might look good with jeans. I also have the moon glow necklace in chocolate so I was leaning towards the mocha. And then the ivory is so beautifully classic it’s hard to pass that up too. LOL. However, the tan glitterati necklace is on my wishlist which I think would look good with any of them.
If I could, I’d get one of each! But I have to budget and I need that pleated blouse in ivory and am considering the other new top/pants in probably the denim blue color (another tough color decision). And I saw the sneak peek of the new print tops which I’m going to have to get in more than one color (I love your engineered print tops!).
If you want to wear it with jeans then I’d do the ivory.

Hello Louis, hope you’re doing well with this confinement. I have my 93-year-old mother with me so I have to be extra careful but we are doing fine. I just ordered the double layer pants in the black and white. I don’t normally wear wide leg pants but these were so unique I just had to have them. Question for you is that I am short and trying to figure out what to wear with them. I think I need something a little more fitted on top since I am shorter. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Dear Jojo….I’m so happy you got these pants…..First SHOP YOUR CLOSETS!!!! I would bet you already own a ton of tops that would work with a black pant, and that means black and white , or color tops too, like maybe a polka dot tee? These are some WK items that will work just for an idea, A374704 in black, A307363 in ivory, A302609 tank in the red or black and A347450, the short sleeve scoop neck in the ivory black or sapphire. Don’t be afraid of a top in another solid color. Just pull it together with your accessories. Also the ivory shantung jacket could look great worn open over an ivory tank and gold jewelry or the new Elephant walk or Anniversary pendant…..just for an idea.

Oooh, did someone say “deep blackened plum” ???? What a dream color I imagine that to be 🙂 !!!!!!!!!! Makes me want to take the little basket of plums in my kitchen, saute them with a bit of vanilla sugar till they just start to caramelize around the edge and get all soft and a little “blackened” … and put them on top of cheesecake :). No cottage cheese left, so that idea will be put on hold, maybe till the Linea clothing comes out in that color.

Hi, Louis- I just received news that the waitlist order for A268216 Regular Pull On Super Ponte Knit Pants in Plum has been cancelled. Do you have any news on your side of the realm as to when these may be available? I know the situation most places is topsy turvy now. However, this style of pant is the only one of yours that I like and wear often. I check this item on Qvc religiously and would order in every color but the size 10 regulars have been sold out for months and months. Of course the plus sizes always seem to be available. Dear Dixie….this is an ongoing frustration I have with the system QVC uses. The minute an order is placed the colors are listed on the site even thought the items won’t be avail for 3 months and more. Then the system cancels out any wait list placed because the item won’t be avail for 3 months. This a fall color and won’t be avail until Aug or Sept. I have complained to the buyers but this is out of their control. It is the way the system is programmed and for some unknown reason they can’t or won’t change it….sorry for the frustration….,the good news is it will be avail with other plum pieces. It’s a beautiful deep blacken color.

They will look fabulous together! The ivory would be great and they would not be too much….I will be showing the shirt over the floral crop pant on the 4/28 QVC2 6pm show, and I love it….it’s breezy and cool looking. Your pant, which I LOVE, and this top are PERFECT together!

It happened in December 2018. It has been a slow recovery with 6 weeks of no pressure on the leg, a cast , a boot and using a wheelchair, walker, a cane and finally being able to walk without anything. My foot and leg are still numb but every week I see a little improvement. Your clothes were a godsend since I could not iron for a long time.

Thanks for answering my questions, Yes, I am short but I fell and broke 3 bones in my ankle so my leg is ugly with the screws and long plate in it. So my days of wearing short pants are over. I do like the alabaster pants with the lace tops and that is what I will wear with them. The cargo pants are comfortable I was hoping it would work with the lace tops.

Is the recuperation over or did this happen in the recent past?…..Glad you mentioned the alabaster pant….I didn’t try those because there aren’t many if any left to sell, and I don’t like to suggest things that women can’t get and then be disappointed.

Louis I just had to say THANK YOU! I wrote you some time ago disappointed that I had missed getting the black jet long tassel necklace. I waited too long and it sold out. It then went on waitlist but was eventually cancelled. I then checked on Ebay to see if there was any but to no avail. Yesterday I was looking through all your jewelry on QVC and there was the tassel necklace sitting there!!! I could not believe my eyes!!! I ordered it on the spot! I cannot believe it but it is back! Thanks for posting the pictures of the new inset lace tops. Do they look good with the light tan cargo pants? Also does the mocha top look good with the brown shantung jacket. My tops are still in process from the first day QVC posted them. I need an excuse to buy the light tan pants even if have to shorten it myself. My denim trench and 2 pairs of cargo pants are sheltered at the alterations shop.

Dear Pat. I did try the cargo pant with the lace tops and they aren’t right together. The lace has a pinky caste next to the pant that has a yellow caste….just not good together. I also tried the mocha lace with the espresso shantung jacket and they DO look good together. Of course the mocha is much lighter, but I loved them together with the beige ponte Capri pant. Don’t know how tall you are so the Capri pant might look like a crop pant if you are short, and that’s good too.

I was wondering if you would be able post any pictures of the new(?) colors of your Lace Insert Top A351465.
QVC has 3 colors available that don’t have accompanying photos ….graphite, ivory, and mocha…. The video presentation for this item only shows 4 colors…the perfectly pink, antique rose, sage, and cloud blue. Such a pretty and feminine top! Hopefully QVC will add the pictures of these newer colors for us to see. Stay well. Thank you.

Qvc is showing ivory for the lace insert top, but no photo. Is that 2 different shades of ivory or beige/ ivory. I did not purchase that top last year, but I am interested in the ivory version to wear with my new Linea Ivory suit for a wedding. Thank you.
Dear Joanne…..sorry for the delay…..I JUST received my samples……everything is sooooo late due to the virus. OK, here’s the story. The blazer and the top do not match. I tried them together. That said I kind of liked them together. It was like wear a creamy/beige top under ivory. The woven threads of the lace are done like an intargio, meaning the treads are on the back side of the fabric and only show for the lace. A very intricate fabric to make. These beige threads influence the ivory of the solid cotton fabric causing it to look creamy. The ivory of the blazer was the color given, but the beige lace threads changed it……I think it’s still lovely and looks like a creamy camisole under the blazer.
The Cathedral spice top looks very nice with the buttercream pants and jacket. There is a small amount of buttercream in that top.
Louis, in your portfolio, do you have a picture of that spectacular Swarovski show stopper dress? It has stayed in my memory all these years! Would so enjoy seeing it once more and of course, the story behind it! Cat

The 2s and 4s in the new pants and lace inset tops are not loaded. I check the pants every day but never seen the 2 and 4 sizes. Are they sold out or not loded? if not loaded, why do not do it for just those sizes! Can’t wrap my head around any of this!
Dear Pratt….First, they are not sold out…they aren’t loaded yet! I just checked yesterday with my buyer who is working from home. To my understanding it’s something like this…..since there are less quantities in the smallest and largest sizes they are packed in two separate large box otherwise the box would be half empty. One would think if they are loading a style they would load ALL OF THE SIZES, but it seems that’s not how it always works. Since the ware houses are working with a skeleton crew this is what happens. It makes no sense, but this is what I’ve been told. I would hope that all sizes are loaded by the 28th when the next show is scheduled at 2pm…..BUT….that’s if the styles are scripted in the show. I sent a “wish List” to my buyer of the styles that should be in the show. There are 6 new ones. Some have been posted like the Shantung jacket, blazer and pant and some have not so I never know what will be on the show until I receive my show script which I expect at the EOD on the 24th! Just be patient….they are coming. I know it’s difficult, but this is what we have to deal with.

That grey sounds wonderful . Maybe under the grey leather jacket maybe? Just thrown over the shoulders. I guess you need the sample to see. I also have the grey long cardigan. Are we going to get a grey tank to go under it, or should we get the stretch beige tank, Louis. Whoever suggested the grey color, thanks for that !!!

This is in the mountains of Western PA. Right now it’s 36 degrees with strong winds. Forecast for tomorrow is 49 and sunny, Easter is 65 with showers. Seesaw weather is typical here at this time of the year. The daffodils were blooming but today they shrank back. Mr.and Mrs Canada Goose, who visit my pond every day, aren’t bothered by the chill.
This is why I keep my black and ivory Jac’s blouses hanging out where I can see them. They are so beautiful.

Gail! Snow covered grass?!! It must be very pretty, but not in April!!! LOL Actually, a storm blew through with torrential rain and high winds which was followed by cold air. So today with the wind it’s a lot colder than chilly. They said Easter was supposed to be nice, but they change every day……Since my next shows aren’t until April 28th on QVC1 at 2pm….I am hoping all of the new things will be on that show. With us only being allowed 2 models it will be difficult since only one color of each can be showed unless it has a long set time……but you never know they showed the Blazers early and the Shantung jacket has never been on air. It should be a jammed show with SIX NEW STYLES

Thanks for locating that Lapis Blue Sequin fabric swatch from 2013. I was thrilled to hear that it does indeed work with the new Sapphire Shantung Jacket. Needless to say, I went on QVC and bought that jacket right away to go with the sequin top and skirt I already own.
Just to let you know, all my Linea by Louis Dell’Olio pieces are encouraging me and helping me stay positive and upbeat during this tough time. With so many things out of control in the world, it is nice to know that I can put together great looks every single day from my Linea clothing and jewelry–just as I have in the past. My Linea collection certainly is helping me maintain normalcy in my life right now. Even my “dress-up” and “party” outfits are being used. Mr. Writer and I decided to still dress up and have a special date night at home once a week. I do not have to wait to enjoy my life. I can do it right now. Dear WwF….ever since i did my first Shantung jacket for QVC I’ve sketched a pair of matching slim pants, but my manufacturer doesn’t want to make them. She claims, due to the rigidness of the fabric, they would be a nightmare to fit resulting in high returns…..She’s probably right……I keep trying.

That makes sense and thank you for the jewelry update! Giving the scarf and the jewelry makes a perfectly perfect gift. I think, after this year’s jarring, scary awfulness, we will see a return to nature, simplicity, sentimentality, timelessness. Things that are less challenging, more familiar, and with meaning. No bling, just warmth. I am about to buy a few of Asprey’s Woodland Charms for a new necklace because they remind me of home, peace, green, and nature. I recently bought some old pawn turquoise because I could feel the history of all the hands that had made it so smooth. Betting I am not alone in this! And guessing that word salad was anything but helpful so let me at least ask this: Is there a chance of getting your pearls back in a smaller MM?

Dear Louis, I just received my four pieces of the Samburu jewelry today as usual they are just beautiful the multitude of colors and the gold spacer beads really are nice also. This will be fun summer jewelry for sure.
I’m thinking I should have a necklace my Mother had of tiny tiny shells restrung it is so delicate and beautiful and with time on our hands we think of things put away and forgotten.
I would like to say I have a ton of your jewelry and I see you did a video on the coin jewelry which is my all time favorite pieces. These are rare and no one should pass them up.

Dear WwF…..I no longer have those samples so I have no idea if they are the same color or not. If they have a greenish tint at all then I would say no, but it’s hard to remember color.
Dear WwF….I found in my archives a large swatch of the blue sequin fabric. It’s from 2013! The Blue of both the sequins and the Shantung blend beautifully together….so YES….you can wear them together! Since the sequin top is sleeveless this will make the perfect jacket to wear over both pieces. In the summer it will look great with the blue top blue jacket and white pants, and of course the SAPPHIRE PANTS work well too! Nice call out!! Even though they were done 7 years apart they all look fresh and new. That’s what I call wardrobe building!!!

LDO–I love your blazers as you know (I think I own at least 20) and was wondering if you might consider doing something like the dickey jackets from Veronica Beard. They’re blazers into which you can zip a dickey to change out the look or if you don’t want a full layer (why am I explaining to you what a dickey is? LOL).
Hi Kate….I have seen the “dickey” jackets and the variety of dickeys she offers. Her dickeys cost more than my blazers….LOL. It would really jack up the prices just to add the zipper in the blazers let alone the separate dickeys that I’m not sure would be well received. Since she offers so many jackets at one time with the dickey zippers it makes more sense for her to offer a variety of dickeys, where as I would be offering one jacket and one dickey. What would you do with the dickey to make it worth the purchase if it can only be worn with one jacket…..which you probably wouldn’t want to wear with the dickey all the time anyway….Interesting concept though..QVC won’t even buy a WK vest due to the price. They would never go for a dickey unless it was dirt cheap……Any JEWELRY REQUESTS????

Why they came off the site and a sold out sign was put up is just one of those little mysteries we will never find out about. If you are interested in the matching pants for the new Linea double breasted blazer with gold buttons (A378656)offered in black and ivory, they are posted on QVC. Some sizes are already sold out. The numbers are Regular A378723 and Petite A378727.
Joanne, I don’t think any sizes are sold out….they just aren’t loaded yet. The same with the blazers the 2 and 4 sizes aren’t sold out according to my buyer. If someone is interested they should go on wait list. There are different warehouses and with a cut in workers the computers may not have caught up….or something like that.
