    Hi Louis!
I just got the washed velvet ribbon cardigan, because the clearance items are on easy pay, and I’ve been looking at that cardigan for months, and I’m sure I’ll love it. I got the teal, I have the smoke boho skirt and I thought I’d wear it with that, and maybe I’ll see if the teal boho skirt is still available. I was wondering if you knew if QVC has ever considered having a flash sale type of event, maybe if all your clearance items were an additional 25% off for one day only, I would then get all the items I look at but don’t buy….just a thought

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Trish, I am never informed of QVC’s special promotions. Even when I do my shows….I only find out at the show that items will be on easy pay etc. It’s usually you ladies that let me know what’s going on. They are very savvy and will inform everyone on the QVC Linea site……BTW, the teal Boho works very well with your sweater. The Teal is a wonderful color with the grey velvet.

I would like to suggest the following…When you get a chance or have some else go over to the Forum and do search for LINEA under BLOGS all your previous blogs come up. In the past there was a terrific picture of you in a beautiful blue shirt. Now you are a female silhouette with a center part and a flip hairdo. Sure would like for new buyers to know you are Louis not Louisa. Surely someone knows how to update your avatar. Anyone work for you over the age of 6 and under the age of 40?

Once again, one of my favorite sayings is nothing stays the same and nothing lasts for ever. I actually saw a 6 year old showing his mother how to find her grocery list on her tablet at the grocery store. It was indeed a humbling experience for her. I had to ask how old he was; she said “6”. “Being a parent and being older meant smarter and wiser now it means “OK, I’ll help you in a minute MOM”. “I feel so stupid; what am I going to do when he turns 16?”, said MOM. Funny yet sad.

    1. Chris/Jazzmom

It looks like the default avatar to everyone is the woman silhouette. The Q ‘knows’ their audience! You may want to stop by, sign in– you will get an e mail to confirm its actually an active e mail tied to your account. And then you will have to locate where the avatar area is and change the woman to be a man silhouette for the time being.

      Regards,
      Chris

      1. Happy Lady

Funny you should say the default avatar is a woman silhouette. Yesterday towards the bottom left on the Forum homepage there were avatars who were signed in with their names. Many of the avatars were male silhouettes with women’s names (like Becky’s mom).(Guess they don’t know how to change). So I’m wondering how QVC decided to allocate these gender defining avatars. Anyway, thought Louis should know how he looks in a 60’s flip hairdo.

        1. Chris/Jazzmom

          😀

My question is more philosophical than a color request or reorder information. I (along with my 83 year old stylish Mother), lament the lack of decent “structured” pieces at a reasonable price point. For instance, my absolute favorite pants of yours are the lined, shiny, cuffed cotton sateen cropped pants you did a few years ago. They always look neat, can be dressed up or down and the excellent fabric and lining give them the perfect shape. Before they get too worn out, I’m tempted to take them to the local tailor and have the exact pants made in several more colors! Everything these days seems to be knit, stretchy and shapeless. Your line at the Q seems to be the last haven for those of us that like that style. Your Linea Leisure is a real triumph of comfort and style. Given what you’ve seen and done in your career, where do you see fashion going in the future? Will we all be wearing Star Trek uniforms or pajama bottoms to cocktails in the next ten years?

  4. Happy Lady

Many celebrate today as FATHER’S DAY but today is also being celebrated over on the FORUM because we got OUR LINEA FORUM BACK!! MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!! Before your next show. Now Justjazzmom can post all your sneak peeks. WE’RE CELEBRATING!!
Hope your fur babies spoiled you and served you breakfast in bed!

    1. louis dell'olio

That’s good news….I hope everyone is happy. QVC should realize without a Linea Forum the Linea Ladies would dominate the Fashion Forum as they did before which only cause animosity…..I’m having a wonderful Father’s Day. It didn’t start out so well….the little monsters got out through a gate that was left open!!??….We did coral them finally. We went to see Jurasic [SP] Park, and we loved it….then out to dinner, and just made it home before a thunder storm. We’ll have desert at home!

      1. Perhaps the Q also knows what happens when the Linea Ladies get a bee in their bonnets!

  5. WENDY A.

Hi Luis…catching up for the week. I rec’d several lovely pcs this week…the goldenrod midi..it is so beautiful in hand…the stripe zig-zag knit maxi in brown/cream/blk with the tobacco bolero…also so beautiful. not sure which I will wear to church today with my Dad. Watching Q this morning…Vincenza day…& model is wearing you white textured shirt!
    Happy Father Day Luis!

  6. Barbara C

    Hi Louis,

About a year ago I purchased two of the black J270118 dome stretch bracelets. The elastic in one of them broke today, and I called QVC but they said the warranty was only for 30 days. Is there someplace you can recommend I can send this bracelet for repair? Thank you. Barbara

    1. Barbara C

Never mind, Louis. I called customer service again and spoke to a different rep and she said the bracelet is in stock and to return it for a replacement!

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Barbara C, I wrote a Sept 2012 review on a similar experience with my black domed bracelet. Mine arrived in pieces and fell apart just getting it out of the box and trying it on. It’s such a classic though, so I waited a while – after returning it – and decided to try again. The good news is that mine is still beautiful and in one piece almost 3 years later. Good luck with your replacement and hope it serves you well!

        1. Diane

I have the domed bracelet in black and red. Wear them often. Mine arrived in good condition. Wish there could be more colors!!

  7. rae smith

    Hi Louis,
I see Chris S. beat me to the color question about A262037 Linea Leisure by Louis Dell’Olio Raglan Sleeve Knit Tee! (You know nothing gets past us!!) Is the violet similar to the violet in the WK? How does merlot differ from wine in the ponte knits? Inquiring minds need to know! HAHA!!
Again, many thanks for always being here for us.

    rae

  8. Chris S.

I noticed that one of my all time favorite Linea items, the Linea Leisure long sleeved raglan tunic A262037 is now available for ordering in the new colors of violet and merlot. It also looks like some of the original colors have been restocked. I’ve ordered the violet, but I am hoping for a sneak peek of the new colors since the new colors aren’t shown on-line.
    Thanks!

  9. Happy Lady

I love A265615 Slim Leg pants. Everything is waitlisted. Is there any hope of reorders on this pants soon if at all? I ordered 2 each in all three colors and for the life of me can’t find my 2 black pair. I wore a black pair once and now they are hiding. Think one of my lovely daughters may have raided my closet and absconded with my black pants. Guess they can’t wait until I kick the bucket before they enjoy the fruits of my labor. At least they have good taste.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear HL….they will not be coming back this season. I have been told the returns are getting higher then we would like so I have no idea if they will ever come back.

      1. luvitorleaveit

I am shocked since it received rave reviews from all sizes I believe. I have been on waitlist for the navy and black so that I could try them.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Don’t be shocked….it happens all the time

          1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Yup, I’m surprised also. These pants are just stellar! I already got doubles in both colors – after being on backorder for a couple of weeks on my second pair in Black. I wanted to be sure I have these pants in service for several seasons to come. Just in case they don’t get reordered.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s very wise Nancy…..when I’m sure something will be reordered, and all the reviews are stellar….I find out there were too many returns. I know one pant may not be suited for everyone, but I was sure this was a home run. It still remains to be seen what the outcome will be.

  10. Debra

Dear Louis. I need your help please.

I am usually a 1x in your clothing. I was on wishlist for the fuchsia ombre tunic. It was sent yesterday. Hallelujah.

Well, the tag said 1x but was crazy tight like a large. I have the peacock ombre so ok know how the 1x fit (great true to size)

Naturally, all the capitalists are sold out and I cannot get the gorgeous fuchsia.

    Thank you!!

Now there is a flame one available in XL. Should I bother? Each ship out and back is $10 down the .drain. Have there been other mislabeled

    1. louis dell'olio

If you are a 1x I would not chance the XL being miss-labeled….it will be too tight….don’t bother.

      1. Anonymous

thank you! I am so sad I missed out on the waitlist. The fuchsia was gorgeous as is the peacock. Hopefully the orders are going in now for dresses in tunics like this as they flew out the window.

        thanks so very much!!

By the way, the Casablanca dress in 1X fits great ~~ magenta is more like a plum purple (my Essie nail polish in “Flowerista” is an exact match) wore with a longer jersey black cardigan and getting massive compliments!! thanks again.

  11. Nicknack

    Hi Louis:

Another rave for the new slim ankle pant. Had to have 2 in black so I would never be without. Any chance we will see this in a 30″ inseam for winter?

    Your devoted fan–Nicknack

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Nicknack…if and when it gets reordered they would never bring it back in another length.

      1. NJlady

Please try to at least do a 29″ pant – these are really too short on many
        Thanx
I kept the khaki ones for summer and sandals BUT really needed the extra inch or two

        1. louis dell'olio

I will do the best I can, but they stay by there measurements for inseams.

  12. Saphira

    Hi Louis,

Add me to the list of those who love the new lightweight pull-on pant, A265615. That material is so comfy but not messy, skims the leg, flatters, length perfect. I hope it’s used again and again. I’m hard to fit in pants and will have the waist taken in, minor things to have such a nice fitting pant.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Saphira….I’m working on some new styles in this fabric for next year…similar with a wider leg….and a crop version, but don’t know if they will get ordered.

      1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Please don’t forget us tall gals. When you widen the leg, it drives the need for more length and depending upon hem size can be far less flexible. How about a nice straight leg in 32″ inseam? (I’ve given up on 34 – 🙂 )

        1. louis dell'olio

I have some fall pants coming at 32….they are boot cut and I insisted they be at least that long…..my petites will have to shorten…….they would buy two lengths so I thought a boot cut was better long than short.34 inches is a tall and they are not buying talls from me. Maybe if I have a VERY successful pant they may reconsider……but getting a reorder pant is very difficult. In general for apparel…that’s the highest return item next to dresses.

          1. Grace

Thanks for sharing this good news! A 32-inch pant 🙂

      2. Grace

A wider leg pant in this fabric would be wonderful…

  13. georgiapeach

Oops! I just realized that in my previous email, I got the wrong color name for the Boho Skirt request. The top I referenced is Lagoon, not Seafoam. I think it would make a great outfit.

  14. georgiapeach

    Louis,
This is my first time replying, but I own many more pieces of your collection than I should. It’s great fun wearing them. I also love the comments and styling tips on your blog and your programs. I would like to see the boho skirt in seafoam. I own the tiered top in this pebble crepe and would like to have an outfit for dressier events, which I think the skirt would give. I’m looking forward to you new selections coming up. By the way, I also got one of the lace jackets with grograin(sp.?) ribbon in black and am looking forward to wearing in on a cruise in France this fall. Thanks for all the style you bring.

    Georgia Peach4vuh

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear georgia peach…..welcome to my website home. I wish you had suggested the color earlier as I have submitted the colors for reorders a few weeks ago. I still don’t know what they have selected, but the closest thing that I did submit was the aqua like the denim jacket and the Whisper Knit sweaters.

  15. Chris/Jazzmom

I find I do not know much about some of the great designers of fashion, is it possible to do like a thumbnail of information of some the designers you were in contact with during your long career? I love listening to your stories of who influenced you or who worked with you. It could be anyone, from here or across the pond.

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Chris…..I’ve been involved with fashion since my school days at Parsons in 1967, and have met many many designers along the way, most socially, but some had become great friends. When you combine all of the designers both Jac and I have known the list is quite long. Unfortunately, some of our closest and dearest friends are no longer with us, and died from Aids. When I think about it…it is amazing just how many designers, make up artists. photographers, stylists, etc are no longer with us. Almost a generation of young talented people. In my late 20s and early 30s is when Aids first appeared, and very little was known about it…..so precautions were not taken and many got sick. Jac and I think about our friends who died so young, and wonder what they would have accomplished if this dreadful disease hadn’t existed. So I had to mention them first in the hall of “great designers”. Some were very famous at the time, others equally talented, weren’t as famous. They were the ones who influenced me most during my early career. Designing is a very insular career. We surround ourselves with the people who work for and with us, and don’t get much time to socialize…..even though it may seem otherwise. I would be happy to share some of my stories with all of you periodically……Sometimes……I meet up with my long lost friends….in my dreams…..it always makes me happy to talk with them again.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

I was an RN at the time of when AIDS appeared and we never used universal precautions (which are the norm now) such as emptying body fluids or starting an IV. Two of my patients I believe had AIDS. One had the typical ‘night sweats’ and we the staff didn’t know why he had them, he came in with kidney stones. He worked as a waiter in NYC and was in between jobs as an actor. If we knew then what we know now about that disease, many more people would be successful and alive.

        Chris

      2. I also remember that dreadful time, Louis. It seemed that week upon week the Grim Reaper swept through our Design Center and left many of us bereft. There were funerals every week, designers and Design Center personnel alike. I always had a bit of apprehension going there for fear that the showroom personnel I always worked with wouldn’t be there. And some weren’t. A sad,sad time for so many of us.

      3. Sheesh

Louis, did you know Charles Ludlam who died of AIDS in 1987 at the age of 44. His obituary made the front page of the New York Times–which was astonishing in itself at the time. Charlie grew up down the street from me in Greenlawn, Long Island. As you said, there were many “Charlies” on the verge of greatness and society suffered such a great loss of talent and artistry.

        http://www.nytimes.com/1987/05/29/obituaries/charles-ludlam-44-avant-garde-artist-of-theater-is-dead.html

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear Shelia…..no I didn’t know him. He sounds like quite a character. I forgot you were a Long Island girl!

  16. donna

this is concerning the forums.on the boards i am what is known as a lurker.i read, laugh and purchase based on the opinions of other women .before, during and after your visits the linea boards become almost festive and party like.women like sheesh and, barbara in virginia have influenced my purchases thru the years.it is hysterical wHen they are being bad and make it ok to go on a buying bender..we are women of a certain age,not kids that come together for common fellowship of your brand.many of these interesting ladies are unknowing brand ambassadors..i am sad this will no longer be the case…i will miss it.the boards are a complete disaster..

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Donna….I hope you have made your feelings known however that is possible with the changes.

    2. diane bloch

      Donna- I totally agree!!

    3. kate

It’s the dog’s dinner over there. I’ve been such complaining about changes that make no sense and/or don’t work, and asking for changes for what seems like 48 hours straight. I miss the community we built there (I’m gardensla, by the way) and unless we can force them into reinstating sub-fora, I just don’t see how to get a vibe going. What a mess. What a shame.

  17. Grace

    Dear Louis,

I read below that the colors have been chosen for next year’s Linea Leisure. Any chance a skirt in white is among them? I’m also crossing fingers for LL grey pants:) I practically live in LL–love every piece I own.

    1. louis dell'olio

We are still working on it…..not everything is complete, but I have made your requests know….we’ll see?

      1. Grace

That’s good enough for me! Thanks, Louis.

        1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Yup, I’m in a Linea Leisure jacket as I’m reading your post Grace 🙂 I too am REALLY hoping for the longer straight skirt in the white. My white pants in this fabric are fabulous!

  18. WENDY A.

    Dear Luis,
Today I received my Smoke Boho skirt & one of the Lace Jackets. The excellent workmanship of both is great. The lace jacket is of very high quality & so soft. The details of the plackets and finishing inside is so nice. Ladies, if you are still deciding, please order one…just choose a color & you will not be disappointed. I am anxiously awaiting my navy Boho and the other jacket. I also have ordered the Zig Zag stripe petite maxi in Cream.Brown & the tobacco bolero. As I am new to Linea, I am trying to scoop up what I can before they are gone. I am shopping online with QVC & already selecting items for Fall before those are gone also. Cannot wait for your July show. See you soon!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Wendy….welcome to Linea….When you sat you are new to Linea is that a few months…a year or so?Enjoy your purchases.I have an excellent manufacturer. In my opinion the best who does work for the Q. We try very hard to produce a product we can be proud of.

      1. WENDY A.

Dear Luis…I am about 2 months Linea old LOL. Today I received the Midi Ombre in Goldenrod and it is to die for…have a few more things on the way. I also read, and make purchases based on opinions of other women like Donna…it is very helpful.
Also your “second looks” do help with decisions. I ordered the Dew Drop set in Perfectly Pink based upon your pics and layouts. Your line is so well made..the quality is better than some lines at high-end dept stores….feel like I repeat that but it is so true. Thank you again.

        1. louis dell'olio

Wow….you are a real newbie to the world of Linea…..a double welcome to you. My website is a friendly place for all of my Linea Ladies, new and those who have been with me from day one, to meet. The sneak peek photos go way back, so enjoy yourself catching up. I usually start showing sneak peek photos of what will be coming on the next show two weeks before show time. I also post my show dates under “important dates” below the Pages column. If you have any questions feel free to post them here. I or one of the ladies, sometimes both, will be happy to answer them…………regards, Louis

  19. Chris S.

    Dear Louis,
I am also putting in a vote for more pebble crepe, especially bottoms to match the gray PC top I purchased and love. I received the black braided tunic and love it. I sure wish I hadn’t cancelled the white. I am on wait list for the white and am keeping my fingers crossed for a return.
    Thank you!

  20. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

I am putting another vote in for more pebble crepe! Tank tops, a simple T, long pants in black, navy and brown (32″ inseam please) and more crops. I simply love the stuff in the hot sticky weather! It is a terrific canvas for your jewelry, washes so easily, and is so comfortable in the heat and humidity. I love your cotton pieces too -but one simply cannot beat how the pebble crepe arrives after a cold wash and about 2-3 minutes on low in the dryer. I went closet hunting and Linea store hunting this weekend when it became miserable outside. I landed in PC sleeveless tunic and crop from last year. I tried to purchase more – but my size is sold out. Boo hoo……

    1. nikki

Louis I would love more pebble crepe crop pants and tops and cotton items. Maybe the problem with the cotton pieces were that the pants were printed, maybe the solid color ones with coordinating tops would be a better sell. I ofcourse would like any as I have all the pieces made in the cotton fabric. It is simply the best washes and wears well
      thank you

  21. Cathy in PA

    Dear Louis,

With the arrival of my lovely Navy Lace Jacket, I think I’m up to 6 different colors now LOL. Love them all; they all have a very different feeling, and I wear in so many different ways, never feels redundant … just lovely and luxurious 🙂

A few of the ladies and I were chatting, and should we be lucky enough to be offered more new colors in the Lace Jacket, we’d love to suggest, buy and wear a Chili Pepper or similar color in this jacket. It would look so beautiful with the tan and check linen trim, and could be worn with natural linen in warm weather, and dark dark dark browns in cooler weather … hope you might consider, with thanks for listening!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Cathy….The QVC forums “were” a microcosm of the world we live in. You have to expect the good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s usually the ugly who have the loudest, pit bullish voices. I am sure that was one of the main reasons QVC decided to revamp the Forum. They will have a closer control of the conversations and banish the “trolls” as they put it……It’s a step to a more civil platform.

      1. Cathy in PA

I think your reply may have been to Happy Lady etc., re. the forums, but I am in whole hearted agreement about promoting civil discourse and eliminating trolls. The only “emoticon” I’ve ever needed was a simple smiley face … If I don’t have something nice to say online, it’s best not said 🙂 I do regret that so far on the new Forum, there is no separate category for Linea, or any other specific product line, so all Linea comments and discussion are lumped into “Fashion” making it near impossible to find Linea discussions; perhaps that will be added as the new changes are refined. THANK GOODNESS we have you, Louis and Jac, and your site here :)))

I’d still LOVE to see the Lace Jacket in Chili Pepper :))))))))

  22. Happy Lady

Well Louis, there is an old saying; “nothing lasts forever and nothing stays the same”. As we were advised the forum was redone and the days of having a dedicated Linea community under “Fashion” is no more. The site is a mess and for me this means coming over here to see your detailed information with pictures as you have done so beautifully in the past. What it also means is your customers needing a place to discuss sizing, fabrics and fit issues that were on the Linea forum site will end up over here. Are you ready for more traffic, a different interaction between Linea customers who will interacting with each other and do you have a way to patrol, edit and block some of the contentious posters who will surely come this way also in an ongoing system? I don’t know why QVC did such a radical overhaul; there easier measures without gutting the entire system. I know this will hurt sales. I’m already at work; busy day. Thanks, Louis

    1. Happy Lady

Interesting, I just went back to Q and they have taken down the new format and reinstated the original format. They must be testing to review all the complaints; there were 100’s of them. JustJazzMom was the first poster and I was second. Not easy to maneuver through the new format. I sent JJM a reply and “hearted her” whatever that means and then I couldn’t find my response to her post. Perhaps Jac can go over and take a look if you think you will get an ulcer. It is a mess.

      1. louis dell'olio

Dear HP, Jac and I stay clear of the QVC Forum. It’s not something I want to get involved with unless one of my ladies directs me to a specific post…..other wise I don’t want to be involved.I have enough to handle right here.

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear HL….I just looked at the new forum and especially the “community guide lines”, and I think it is a vast improvement. The forum was created, as was my web site, for customers to have a civil friendly conversation on issues that are relevant to the products, fashion and related subjects. I think what they have done will keep things more on point, and a lot less nasty. I control my website, and I only invite friendly people…..If someone doesn’t meet my standards they will be trashed.

          1. diane bloch

Louis I LOVE your blog. I’m at the point in my life where I just can’t deal with the nasties. It’s so pointless. Constructive criticism is fine, but the meanness? No thanks. Your posts are a little ray of
sunshine. The LINEA ladies are so classy. I enjoyed my visit to Anguilla. Did you ever visit Scilly Cay
            there?

            1. louis dell'olio

Yes….I think Scilly Cay is a must visit destination when you are staying on Anguilla…..at least once!

          2. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis I am EXTREMELY happy to hear that – that you control your website. I can hardly STAND some of the idiotic contention that gets stirred up – even in the Linea section of the community at QVC – and so often from persons it is hard not to suspect, though I TRY hard to give benefit of the doubt, of possibly never even purchasing your clothing or jewelry items. There’s a lot of STUFF that people vent online under cover of anonymity. Thank you for keeping this a wonderful venue!

      2. Chris/Jazzmom

I’m finally getting over here to see what is new here after being through the morass of a forum at the Q. Hearting can mean several things– you ‘like’ what the person wrote is the main meaning or a ‘heart’ could mean that its an acknowledgement that you have read the person’s response.

  23. MadameDuFiffers

Hi Louis…I’m copying a post I made a few days ago that probably got lost in the shuffle…pebble crepe, pebble crepe, pebble crepe!

“I wore my pebbled crepe outfit for the 1st time today. A221800 and the matching cropped pull-on pant in black. I looked fabulous, darling!! IIRC, I believe you said new pebbled crepe tops are in the works (I’m hoping for tunic lengths and silhouettes like A221800 and the swing sweater). And you asked for color preferences a while back, too. Are you able to tell us more about new PC pieces and colors??”

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear MD…I could have sworn I answered you? I have submitted many PC sketches, but I have no idea what will be selected.

      1. MadameDuFiffers

I’m hopeful…then again, this is qvc we’re talking about…so, I’m hopeful AND will make a phone call to specifically request more pc items from you! Thx, Louis, and hope you and Jac have a great day.
        Madame

  24. Merrylass

SUCCESS!!! Mom loved every piece of Linea!! In addition to the Linea items, I also took over several cotton and silk knit tops and sweater sets that I had purchased but never worn from Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, J. Crew, and Talbots (sigh, most still had tags). Mom “played” dress up for 2 hours — we had so much fun!!! The Linea Leisure pull on pants are FABULOUS and my mother LOVED them (boo, boo they were sold out in my size). Mom was thrilled with the white eyelet blouse in white and is eager to get it in black too (on wishlist). When I left, Mom was planning out what she will wear to daily mass … the white Linea Leisure pants will be worn with a cornflower blue cotton sweater set tomorrow. Thank you for creating such beautiful pieces – EVERY piece brought a big smile to her face!!! Now I have to order back up pairs of the pants because Mom loves them.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Merrylass…..I’m so happy for you and your mother. It sounds like you two created wonderful memories. I have a feeling she would love anything you bring her….that’s just the way mothers are……BTW…the LL pant is being reordered.

      1. Merrylass

YIPPEE!!! I look forward to getting my own LL pants. Mom’s reaction to the pants was hilarious – she started with “pants never fit me and I will need to get them altered” to “oh, these fit perfectly and they are so comfortable” to “I look wonderful!!!”. When I said that I should order at least another pair of the white, I expected Mom to say “no, you should save your money” (her normal response) but this time her response was “OH, YES!” I’ve already ordered another white as well as the navy for her.

Your clothes made my mother feel absolutely beautiful and I cannot thank you enough.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s great….isn’t is wonderful to make our Mom’s happy. I always got my mother her clothes when I started working, and it was always Christmas morning.

      2. Chris/Jazzmom

Hurray!! Will you be allowed to add another color to the Leisure pants roster? If so, can I suggest gray or wine (merlot??) or walnut? Any of these or all of these would be fine!

        1. louis dell'olio

Morning Chris….the colors have already been chosen and they will coordinate with new LL pieces…..you’re 1/3 right!….LOL

          1. Sheesh

            Hmmmm, I’m guessing Grey! LOL

            Sheesh

            1. Chris/Jazzmom

              I’ll take it! 😀

              Chris

  25. queendiva

    Hello Louis,
Do you know what we need for next summer? Pebble crepe tank tops!
Can’t believe we do not have these after so many years! Let’s start with black, white and I could have used a Perfectly Pink one today. Too hot and humid here for layering WK tanks. Thank you!

    1. louis dell'olio

I have sketched them but they always pass. I guess they don’t think they are special enough????

  26. Joanne

I just love your new Linea Knit Pull On Slim Pants A-265615. I initially purchased the black when they first appeared. After I received them, I went online at QVC prior to your appearance on QVC and purchased an additional pair of black as well as navy and light khaki. The other colors did not disappoint. The fabric, fit and beauty of those pants are sensational. I took the khaki and black on a trip. They were also just perfect for traveling. Since everyone agrees with me, I hope they will be reordered at QVC. Thank you for these sensation pants.

    1. louis dell'olio

we’ll all keep our fingers crossed.

    2. Mary

I totally agree. I just had a feeling these would sell out, so I impulsively bought all three colors in my usual size. I am thrilled with the fabric, the fit, the colors – every single thing about them. I was a big fan of the old slim leg pant, A217972 that came in Black, Olive and Fawn. I’ve worn them so many times I’ve lost count, but these are even better.

I rarely leave reviews because QVC doesn’t allow you to leave them anonymously, but these merited a 5-Star review.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a reorder in additional colors

  27. nikki

Louis, my olive crop pants from a few seasons ago is looking worn out, any chance of getting olive crop sateen or cotton pants next season? i purchased a lot of olive stuff so I would love a replacement. Thankyou

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear nikki, the spring buy isn’t complete, but there aren’t any cotton sateen pants on the drawing board.

Another verse in my ongoing ballad of gratitude for my Linea wardrobe: Last night a baby shower. No problem, a tee shirt, my Linea slim ankle pants in dark navy, my Linea denim jean vest in dark navy and my Linea logo necklace. Easy Peasy. This morning meeting a son in Boston for lunch w/dear husband: My Linea Leisure white pants (have 2 of this color and these pants are heavenly comfortable), my Linea double front v-neck white tee, my Linea crushed gauze open front asymmetrical cardigan/jacket in black, my Linea waterfall necklace in white and black sandals. Easy Peasy ~ Cool and Breezy! Your Linea creations and how easy they are to put together in so many comfortable ways, have me saying “thank you” again and again.

    1. louis dell'olio

You’re very welcome….isn’t Easy Peasy great!

  29. Merrylass

Once again, I cannot thank you enough for such lovely additions to my wardrobe. In addition to buying many pieces for myself, I also purchased a Linea “capsule” wardrobe for my mother. For Mom, I ordered the LL white pants, LL black pants, v-neck WK tanks in black and in white, mock-neck WK tanks in black and in white, braid textured top and skirt in white (waitlist), and the eyelet blouse in white and in black (waitlist). I figured my mother would be able to mix and match her new Linea pieces with the 3 cardigans with lace sleeves in perfectly pink, black, and white and the black ENR WK skirt I gave her for Mother’s Day. The only piece that she may not like is the braid textured skirt — only because she prefers to wear long skirts. With the exception of the waitlisted items, I will be giving Mom these pieces when I see her this Sunday. These are not for any special occasion — these are “just because” gifts and I hope she likes them!

Of course I’m now looking at the “Missoni” dresses and the black and white striped dress to add to Mom’s Linea wardrobe — along with shrugs and boleros since she won’t go sleeveless in public. Once I figure out what colours my Mom likes, I’ll have to expand my selection! Thanks for such lovely pieces — I’m sure my mother will be very pleased!!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Merrylass…..”just because gifts” are the best!……and the most appreciated!!

    2. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Merrylass: What an exceptionally thoughtful daughter you are. And besides which, you are a daughter with impeccable taste!!! Your mother must feel so pampered and cared for! Thanks for the uplifting example.

      1. Merrylass

Nancy, you are too kind. I think children follow the example set by their parents and I was lucky to have wonderful, loving parents. My father was an extraordinary man who adored my mother — Dad insisted that my brother and I give Mom a “thank you” card and flowers on our birthdays (Dad would give Mom a piece of jewelry on our birthdays as his “thank you”). As I grew older and earned more money, I branched out from flowers (but I think Mom loved the grubby, handpicked wildflowers from my childhood as much as the more expensive gifts she receives now). Although my father is no longer alive, we remind Mom that his legacy does still live on in us and in the traditions he established.

Dad loved to see Mom dressed beautifully and would often buy her outfits and accessories “just because” — I figure he would want me to continue his “just because” gifts. My mother will enjoy the clothes and derive some comfort in telling me “you are just like your father” … which to me is the best compliment in the world!

        1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Absolutely beautiful Merrylass. Brings tears. God bless you and may your nurturing cause you in turn to feel nurtured! Thanks for sharing. Thank God for this kind of love in an often crazy world.

          1. Merrylass

I’m blushing from your kind words! Sometimes we all forget that we receive far more when we give. I had the best time today watching my mother prance and strut as she tried on new outfit combinations — it brightened up my day and will bring a grin to my face whenever I think about it!! I hope everyone enjoys their new Linea items as much as we do!!

  30. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis,

I wore your White Pebble Crepe Elastic Pull-On Crop Pants (A255183) today. They are perfect for the hot weather we are having. I just love them.

Will you be doing more colors in this pant? I think that all they have left are the White and the Coffee Bean.

Anything you can do in this great fabric would be appreciated.

    1. louis dell'olio

Sorry WWF, but they were not reordered. I don’t know what the objection to these pants was, but evidently the returns were too high.

  31. diane bloch

Louis- like everyone else I just love the new slim ankle pants (A265615). I bought them in all colors. Excuse me if someone
else has already asked this question but- will there be any other pieces coming along in this material, like a jacket, skirt
or dress? I received the white braided tunic in perfect condition. The black in on its way, you’re right it is special. Hope
you and Jaq have a great weekend.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Diane….nothing as of now, but I would like to use it again now that everyone seems to like it.I’ll give it awhile to get more feed back after everyone owns them for a while….a test run so to speak.

  32. andrea

In the hi low tunic what color is Flame? I didn’t order it because I thought it was orange but in the photo it looks red. In the video it looks orange. I can’t wear orange but love the tunic.Red is one of my best colors and I love wearing it. I used to do a red wash!

You and Jane called it scarlet! So is it orange or red.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Both….it’s an ombré so there are many colors.if you can’t wear red/orange it may not be your color.

      1. andrea

It’s not my color! I’m relieved.I’m on a budget but couldn’t resist that tunic.
You showed Jac wearing it with white. Come fall I’m back in my black compression leggings. I just can’t try them on now; I’m recovering from a sprained ankle and I’d never get them on.

I hope the inky purple on the bottom will go with black! What other colors would you suggest?

        1. andrea

I forgot to add I just got the fuschia tunic. Blame it on the pain meds!

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Probably black is best, but you could wear jeans. I don’t know if you will find anything close to the bottom color.

            1. andrea

I’ll be wearing my black compression leggings for a rare medical problem. I wore leggings the first time around and had no interest in wearing them again. I looked like an elf (I was much smaller, probably an XXS, now I’m a S.)The last straw was when I got on Amtrak at New Haven and the conductor who helped me with my suitcase said,”It’s almost Xmas, have to find room for Santa’s helper.”

But when I had to wear compression hose, I found great leggings and with some of your tops (I snagged three on sale)looked better thir:ty five years later. I have tall patent leather boots that help.
I’ve bought a few other tunics but for some reason only yours work.

I have the white and black LL pants also. Love them. The shell that goes with the peony pink hood is the best fitting shell I’ve ever had.

  33. Grace

    Dear Louis,

The new striped maxi dress (A267576) is wonderful and I’d love to have a maxi skirt in the same fabric with the same fit as the feather jersey maxi. Any chance that could happen? I’m also still hoping for a maxi version of the sequin skirt you did two seasons ago! I suggested that last year and you said you’d keep it in mind…Thanks for indulging all our wish list requests!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Grace….they didn’t pick any of my sequin sketches. I guess they are buying sequins from other designers.

      1. Grace

That’s so disappointing, Louis. No one does sequins like you do!

    2. Kate

I would love a sequin maxi!

  34. designista

Regarding A259614 the reversible faux fur coat, can the sleeves be easily shortened or can they just be turned back? I’ve admired that coat since it was first introduced, but the sleeve length kept me from ordering.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear D….they are meant to be turned back into a cuff. The only reason to wear them straight down is if you have long arms. If they are still too long after they are cuffed…it’s an easy alteration since the fur side is one piece……the fabric would need to be shortened and the fur re sewn onto the fabric.

      1. designista

Thank you! I guess I should have asked that question earlier.

  35. MadameDuFiffers

I wore my pebbled crepe outfit for the 1st time today. Are you able to tell us more about new PC pieces and colors??
    Madame

  36. ceicei

Your zig zag pieces are fantastic. I never thought they would flatter me. I bought the 14p and looks like it was custom made. I then bought the 2 skirts, tops and the brown maxi. The dress is one of the most flattering I have ever owned. I bought your black enr shrug. I am going to Rome, Paris and Amsterdam in a few weeks. The dress, the skirt, your tile print mosaic top and bottom, moss crepe top and bottom, along with some whisper knit tanks and sweaters are coming with me. I also got your eyelet shirt in white and then ordered the black. Wow, what a wardrobe I have built with you over the past few years. Thank you.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear ceicei…..you are going to knock them out….The tile print in Rome….perfect…the zig zag in Paris…..and the Moss Crepe anywhere…WOW…..now Rome can be very hot so google the weather and see just how hot it is.

  37. Nicknack

    Louis:

I realy, really want that wire cuff. Any chance?

    Nicknack

    1. louis dell'olio

Sorry Nicknack…..no chance at all….BUT….not to worry working on some fab replacements!!!

  38. JBCinSD

Your beautiful braided top just arrived and it is really lovely. Will be fun to change the look by changing what color I wear under it.

Since it is 70% poly, I assume it’s OK to hang, not fold, it. Right?

  39. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis,

The two pairs of Knit Pull-On Slim Ankle Pants (A265615) in the Navy and the Pale Khaki arrived yesterday. What a beautiful fabric. I just love it. And such quality!

The slim fit of these pants simply cannot be beat. They are so flattering. One of your tops or tunics over these pants makes me look worlds trimmer.

I had been looking for this type of pant in these colors since last year and, voila!–you go an make them.

Your creations always please, Louis, and never disappoint. Thank you for your consistency and for these wonderful, wonderful pants.

    1. Kate

I’m ridiculous about pants (I mostly have mine made by a dressmaker because I’m so insane about fit) so I agree;these are killers. More colors, please!!

      1. Enjay

Yes, please more colors! I’m super fussy about pants, too – and I usually have to pay a lot more for pants that fit and look like these. Charcoal grey? Olive!? Pretty please?

        1. louis dell'olio

That’s taking the cart before the horse…I don’t even know if it will be reordered. Just when you think it’s made the cut….3 months go by and you find out the returns were too high. I have my doubts….Many have bought 2 sizes and returned one. I understand the reasoning for that….this is a new pant and it was hard to know…..but those returns still count…..If it should pass muster those are very good colors to consider.

          1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Hopefully the #s who bought multiple sizes and therefore returned pants will be somewhat offset by those of us who came back for doubles and triples in a color and size 😉

            1. louis dell'olio

That would be nice, but unfortunately it doesn’t work that way…..the number of returns is a separate entity. If returns are too high and the double cost of reprocessing is too high it looses it’s reorder status…..it’s all a numbers game.

        2. Grace

I continue to rave about these pants…LOVE them! Fingers crossed for a reorder with add’l colors…charcoal, deeper khaki, olive.

  40. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

I ordered your new stripe printed maxi dress in both the topaz/black and the ivory/black and they should arrive today (I can hardly wait). When will your new tiger/zebra cardigan, A265612 be available and will the zebra look good with the ivory/black dress? Also, how about a sneak peek?

    Thanks,
    Dariann

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Dariann….the Zebra/Tiger cardigan will be on my July 22nd show. It’s over a month from now so I haven’t prepared the July sneak peeks, and I don’t want them to be old news by the time the show comes around!…….patience

  41. Melissa

    Louis,

Forgive me if this has been asked, but any plans for either A265550 (zip front 3/4 sleeve knit cardigan) or A263783 (notch collar knit cardigan) to come in more colors?

    Thanks,
    Melissa

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Melissa……though I haven’t been told I would guess neither sweater is going to be ordered. They are still avail in almost every size in every color. That is usually, but not always a good indication. Of course there could be 150 pieces left in the different colors and sizes, and that would be a different situation

      1. Melissa

Thanks for replying, although that’s not what I was hoping to hear. I actually wanted to hear your answer before I ordered thinking it’d help me decide which colors to get. I just placed my order for two of the notch collar knit cardigans in navy and tangerine (can’t wait to see the tangerine in person – I think I snagged the last one in my size) and two of the zip front 3/4 sleeve cardigans in navy and yellow (I’m not a yellow person unless it’s your yellow). Can’t wait to get them!

        1. louis dell'olio

I hate to be the bearer of not so good news, but that’s all I know as of now.The zip may be reordered, but the ottoman definitely not.

  42. CC

Eyelet blouse is the BOMB! Pit is truly perfect. The tailoring is lovely. Love everything about it. Well just not its name– eyelet blouse is far to mundane for this extraordinary contemporary artist piece. Love the fabric and the stitching. Something I would expect at Nieman Marcus for $400 –it’s that good. Thank you

  43. Rochelle

I’m very excited; I just ordered the petite zig zag dress and I am really hoping the proportions are right. While petites are usually perfect everywhere else, I often have difficulty in the bustling. Not sure why the presumption is that all women under 5’3″ don’t exceed a B or C cup. I left the first verse of that song behind in adolescence. If the dress fits, I think I have some alpaca in a similar brown that would make a good lace shawl topper if I ever catch up on my baby gift knitting.

  44. Alice Speelman

    Dear Louis,

A friend sent this darling short YouTube video and I thought it would definitely make you smile! We have always owned dachshunds and they, too, are clowns without even realizing it!

    Scotty Pinwheel

Also, I love your Enamel Link Watch (J277885). I have it in all three colors, blue, coral, and white, The face is easy to read, it is beautifully constructed, and I especially like the two connection links in the band. This accommodates women with larger wrists or gives you the option of wearing it loose or fitted. I was wondering if you would consider a future version in Perfectly Pink with gold tone metal, This color has been so popular in your clothing and I think the watch would make a perfect accessory for your designs.

    Sincerely,

    Alice Speelman

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Alice, I have seen this video many times and I could look at it a million times more! It makes me want to have more Scottie puppies, but I better not let Jac know….she has already got their names picked out!!!!!This video makes me laugh out loud and feel happy….thank you!

      1. louis dell'olio

I’m glad your enjoying your watches…..they were not the strongest selling items so I’m not sure if we will be bringing more in. Of course you have one of my favorites.

  45. WENDY ASHMORE

    Dear Luis,

Today I received my Braided Top & Skirt in black. They are beautiful and I am not sure that I can aptly do justice with mere words. The quality & workmanship of your designs are lovely. These are truly an instant classic. I love the Linea line, and will be purchasing more, as these are designs that will last a lifetime. You are now my favorite designer on the Q! and I would prefer to see you more often….hint!

  46. Lisa Randall

Mr Dell Olio, I finally was able to order the midi dress in blue in my size. I have yet to see the peacock 3/4 sleeve hi-low tunic come available. Will this be reordered this year?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lisa…..things are never brought back in the same year. The factories are working on fall production, if and when it should be reordered would be next year at this time

  47. Cathy in PA

    Hi Louis,

Just wanted to let you know my Perfectly Pink Lace Jacket and Eyelet Shirt/Jackets in Black and White just arrived, and they are all utterly divine! As I own lace jackets in a number of colors, no surprise there, except what a deliciously flattering combo of pink and linen colors … just wonderful! My new Navy Lace Jacket was shipped separately and not here yet; I’m sure it will be beautiful.

NOW the Eyelet Shirt Jackets … Ladies, if you didn’t order this yet … RUN to order, and I urge you, get both Black and White … who doesn’t need a cool, comfortable, classic style in a breezy, light, airy and fabulous summer topper in black and white??? The ALL OVER square eyelet adds a modern edge to this piece … honestly, this one is a true designer piece you’d only find here … and at this price?!???

    Thank You Louis!

    1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

I completely agree Cathy! My eyelet lace jacket arrived today too. I’m wearing it as I speak – LOVE this!

      1. Cathy in PA

I wrote reviews, posted on the forum … this eyelet blouse is just wonderful … A MUST in both colors !

    2. Connie

Got the black and the white. Wonderfully made…inside and out. So
      pretty. Thank you Louis

      1. louis dell'olio

Dear Connie….thank you for noticing the inside and how it’s finished. I can tell you the $2ooo.oo designer shirts aren’t finished as well.

    3. Susana

I totally agree too – got the eyelet shirt in white and it’s killer!!

  48. LauraL

    Hi

Just received the tropical floral print dress in olive and absolutely love it. It does not cling at all and is very flattering

    Thanks

    Laura

    1. nikki

Me too Louis, I just got the tropical floral print dress in olive. LOVE IT. I also got the striped dress in tobacco/black. I honestly was not sure about this style, however when I saw the models, it looked stunning, so I tried it. I absolutely LOVE it. Very beautiful. Thankyou for all my beautiful clothes. Waiting for the eyelet jackets in black and white to finish my haul.

  49. Gail

Dear Louis: I would love to have a shirtwaist style midi or maxi dress of your design in a fluid fabric. I was watching “Topkapi” on Turner Classic Movies and Melina Mercouri wore one in a soft aqua color. I think that it buttoned all the way in the front and had long sleeves. She looked fabulous.

  50. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
I have the Peacock and your navy capris and love it. I just snagged the Flame and it is beautiful..
I agree with Sheesh, that next year maybe a scoop neck would look nice with the scoop of the bottom. This would be a super
TSV since it sold out so quickly and the few that came back into stock – sold out immediately.

I also received the black eyelet top and your quality is impeccable. I am sure it will go with multitudes of tops.
Would the asymmetrical tank look good under it ?
Thanks again off to write my review

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear NJ Lady….The asymm. tank under the eyelet shirt is a very tricky proportion and certainly not for everyone, but for those who can pull the look off I’d say give it a try. The shirt may be too long for the tunic. I usually like shorter things over long like the new WK Bolero……I think that top as a TSV would be a great idea….now if the PTB only thought so too….LOL

      1. Pecan Cookie

I wore the peacock top yesterday. It is my favorite tunic of all time. I’m sorry I didn’t get all colors but then I wouldn’t have been able to get other things in the pipeline. However I continue to stalk in case one pops up for me to grab. Bring this style tunic back, with the same neckline, but even a V-neck or scoop neck would be great. Yesterday I kept thinking… this fabric, in these colors, in an A-Line tank midi or maxi dress would be awesome. If it had a short sleeve “jacket” in one of the colors in the dress it would be over the top. Just dreaming… but you never know!

  51. Vivian Dawson

It’s probably too late, but I own A259111 Whisper Knit Shawl and I love it. Can you whip us up some for summer? Next year maybe..?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Vivian….There is nothing more that I would rather do then add colors to the shawl, but alas it didn’t sell as well as I had hoped….as a matter of fact there are still shawls and scarves to sell…..so I don’t think the buyers will be too enthusiastic about buying more.

      1. Elaine

Good morning Louis, I bought all 3 colors in the scarf and a shawl, Very soft, just beautiful, anyone who doesn’t pick one up is really missing out. I may go back for another shawl. See you next month. Enjoy the summer, hi to Jac. Elaine

        1. Goldie76

Oh, how I love that shawl! Was able to get only the Raspberry and Olive. It is absolutely the most attractive and comfortable wrap out there. How wonderful it would be if they sold out so that more colors could come our way. Ladies, don’t miss out on the shawl. It is divine.

  52. Judy Ann

    Dear Louis,
Just received the flag blue textured top. Beautiful in my regular size. Very well packed with paper on the inside between front and back of top. Inspected carefully – perfect.
Am tempted to go back for the black, maybe in the larger of my 2 sizes to give a more casual look.
Thank you for your beautiful designs and all you do for us.

  53. queendiva

    Hello Louis,
A request: it has been a while since I have seen a Linea topper jacket. Your past Roma ponte topper is one of my all time favorites. I especially love the length and pockets. I passed on the more recent super ponte topper because of the blazer styling with collar and lapels. I would love to see a collarless topper in one of your Wow prints / fabrics, Thanks!

  54. designista

You really hit the target with the Pale Khaki color of A265615 pull-on pants. It’s a chameleon color, and seems to go with everything. I’ve had my original order for three weeks, and every color I put with those pants works. I didn’t totally appreciate the thought that went into that color until now. Great job! Your box of 64 crayons paid off!

Hi, Louis. I’m a happy camper today because I just snagged a Fuchsia Waterfall Tunic. I was originally going to buy all 3 colors, then decided on just two, but when I got them I just fell in love with the color saturation, so I have been stalking the Fuchsia and one just popped back into inventory—hurray! Now, would you please consider doing this silhouette with a V-neck in another print for next year. Also, I wanted to tell you that the Flame Tunic goes fabulous with the Wine Ponte Leggings and I plan to wear it on Thanksgiving with some Wine Cole Haan Flats and your “Red” Graduated Bead Necklace, J270117, and Wide Stretch Cuff, J270118—-they go perfect with it. Also, the Linea Multi-facted Bead Necklace in Black, J271862, with the Wine Bead also goes great with the Fame Tunic. I just love how we can shop our existing collections!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

WOW….you already have your Thanksgiving outfit planned! It’s certainly cool enough in Mass. to get one or two wearing a out of it before then….LOL

      1. Sheesh

LOL—I’m planning to have Thanksgiving at my Arizona home in North Phoenix this year—but I’m sure I’ll wear the Flame Top before then. The Flame coloration seems very desert like. I think it might also go great with the Aubergine Pull on Pencil Skirt—I’ll have to go look—and I think we have Linea Tights to match—see what I mean—shopping our Linea Collections—so many outfits to put together.

Thanksgiving in Az…the Flame tunic…..sounds perfect to me.

  56. Dariann

    Dear Louis,
Just wanted to let you know that I wore an oldie but goodie of yours to church today and received many compliments. It is your windowpane silk shirt – I have it in several colors but today I wore the orange and hot pink combo as a shirt jacket with a white tank and white linen pants. Next Sunday, I will wear another vintage jacket of yours – it is cream colored linen, with black rick-rack and black vine appliques. I know that I will treasure these pieces forever, even though you can no longer bring us fashions in silk and linen.
    Thank you for these beauties,
    Dariann

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Dariann…..I remember them well. Those were the days when my manufacturer begged me to use silk! because in China it was so reasonable, then the government put limitations on silk production and the price sky rocketed. Now with all of the pollution they are having major difficulties producing it at all.

      1. Cathy in PA

I just wore that cream linen/black ribbon trim jacket on a recent cruise … tons of compliments, still feels perfectly wonderful. This time I updated with the black sequin skirt and black dressy glittery sandals, loved it that way 🙂

  57. Gail

I would love to have a shirtwaist style midi or maxi dress in a fluid fabric. I was watching “Topkapi” on Turner Classic Movies and Melina Mercouri wore one in a soft aqua color. I think that it buttoned all the way in the front and had long sleeves. She looked fabulous.

  58. Happy Lady

YEA!! I was waitlisted for A265576 WK short sleeve scoop neck with gold buttons down the front and it came as a surprise today. I’ll wear with many things and especially the new white braided skirt and white WK cardigan with gold buttons laying on my shoulders. Gold hi heels and gold jewelry. I have an evening business banquet and I don’t want to dress “glitzy” and this is perfect. You mentioned I might get lucky on waitlist and I did. Happy!

    1. Happy Lady

I guess I should add I have A233940 WK cardigan that came in white and I took the tonal buttons off and replaced with your designer buttons in gold. I have so many of your extra designer buttons I can change things out.

    2. louis dell'olio

      What color?

      1. Happy Lady

I’m not sure if this question is for me but I was waitlisted for white and finally received. LOVE all white (or ivory)with gold and this new braided knit skirt in white is really a special treat. I mentioned before I don’t remember ever seeing you make a white knit skirt so I bought this beauty asap (along with the other 2 colors); can’t wait to receive. Thanks, Louis.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes HL the question was for you.mi love that sweater in the Ivory . I know everyone loved the raspberry , but I am a purist. NAVY and IVORY for me.

  59. Chris/Jazzmom

Remember that a few of us wanted the ponte knit drawstring skirt (which has not been reordered)(A233183) to be redesigned with a back slit? Is that on your drawing board for the future? I would love to have this in a white if possible (to match with the ponte knit jacket) -(A233182)

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. louis dell'olio

They keep passing on bottoms with drawstrings?

      1. Sheesh

Louis, how about a short Linea Leisure Skirt in White–I don’t want a lining either, and I know the PTB keep insisting on linings in white pieces—aarrgghh! I would love a short, white summer pull on skirt I can pop on under tunic top, or any top for that matter, and run out the door. Of course, Black and Navy short LL skirts would be great, too. That LL fabric is the comfiest thing—EVER!

        Sheesh/Sheila

        1. louis dell'olio

I have sketched it, but that doesn’t mean they will pick it.Especially since the long one is slow to sell.

          1. jmarie

That LL boot skirt is a total sleeper! Got the navy and I like it even more than the rayon/span maxi which is saying a lot! I just went back and picked up the black. The cut of it makes me look like my reflection in a fun house tall and skinny mirror! Would love to have it in white!

          2. Anonymous

Louis, I adore your long poly span skirts from last year. I have worn them every week to work since purchase. I would love to see this skirt back in stock. Thank you!!

            1. louis dell'olio

Poly/span? Style # please. I remember long Rayon/Span skirts but don’t remember long poly span except the striated skirts.

        2. louis dell'olio

          BTW…….Jac cuts the linings out.

          1. Debra

Louis, sorry — Your maxi skirt in black, navy and twig with matching round neck tank tops. I managed to get black and navy in my size.

Also, I am so appreciative of the round neck and anyway neckline. The deep scoops and V don’t work for my modest dress needs.

Thank you. I have sent people to your links.

  60. LauraL

    Dear Louis,

I wanted to thank you. A while back you requested some of our favorite styles that had not been reordered, that we wanted to see come back. I requested that A223660 short sleve bolero come back. I was very happy to see the new (A265614) short sleeve bolero on this trip. I order both colors. I hope it does well so I can have it in more colors i.e. navy, PP, walnut for example. It is a wonderful sweater for the summer in the office with the air conditioning or in the spring/fall. It allows me to wear the sleeveless dresses but still having my arms covered.

Welcome Home! My previous message got whisked away with the overflow, so I won’t repeat how enjoyable it was to watch you and Antonella.
But, that new top you showed on FEW had a wonderful cut and I was wondering if that was coming in the faux washed silk?..love that fabric!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear designista….I’m assuming you mean the sneak peek of the black and brown dolman sleeve Ts the Angela and Anne were wearing with the pull-on pant. The minute jac say it hanging in my studio she wanted to take it…..in the black of course….it’s right up her alley. It is a poly crepe shirting, not a washed silk hand…..this new fabric is drier and more matte then the faux washed silk which has a sheen.

      1. MadameDuFiffers

Hi Louis…it’s right up my alley, too! When can we expect it? What colors? Can we get another sneak peak here? Loved your show with Antonella…she seems like a happy, nice person. Hope you and Jac are having a great day.
        Madame

      2. designista

Yes, that’s the one…can hardly wait…couldn’t really get a close up, but it had a great silhouette, skimming the body and not boxy. The new fabric sounds interesting. I think you said availability in July.

        1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Which item was being shown when this was sneak peeked? It’s not in the online video of the slim ankle pants…

          1. MadameDuFiffers

Oh dear…I may be confusing things…I thot it was the dark colored top Angela and Kate had on in that video and that the other model’s name was Anne…? Just goes to show you that we NEED another sneak peak of it! lol I love dolman sleeves, and the fabric sounds like something I might like. Help us clear things up, Louis!
            Madame

            1. louis dell'olio

you will have to wait until July since my next show is July 22nd.

          2. louis dell'olio

A251590, but the video is an old one.

  62. linda deem

I have been waiting for the khaki and the turquoise cotton/span pocket tunic to come back in stock. qvc has xxs in turquoise only for some time now and this item has not clearanced either. please let me know. thank you

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear linda….if you mean the A255145 in the peacock blue, that has not been reordered.

      1. linda deem

The tunic I would just love to get is #A251588. I can not praise you enough on your talent and quality. I own all the beaded tunics, the new leisure in 4 colors and just ordered 2 ponte tunics and 1 pebble crepe. The fabrics you choose last and the styles are timeless. The fit for me is unbeatable. Love-love pockets.

        1. louis dell'olio

          I see….you mean the V-neck 3/4 sleeve…..no that wasn’t reordered either.

  63. Alice Speelman

    Dear Louis,

With the popularity of your beautiful lace jackets with the ribbon trim (A223652), I was wondering if the pearl necklaces (J287998) will be reordered in Driftwood and Mocha Mist? They were such a perfect match on the model on your show! Thank you for all the Linea treasures in my closet that will stand the test of time and look classically elegant for years to come!

    Sincerely,

    Alice Speelman

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Alice…there isn’t any plan to reorder the colors. I would assume if they do decide to reorder the pearls at some time they would want new colors.

  64. nikki

I am putting together outfits in my head for the beautiful things i ordered including the braided top and skirt. I was wondering if you would put the braided skirt with the eyelet shirt? I would love to hear your opinion as I have

    1. louis dell'olio

ABSOLUTELY!! I love the mix of textures….what are you thinking color wise?

  65. Chris S.

    Dear Louis,
I loved the show with Antonella. I was sitting by myself watching it and unconsciously clapped when the show was over. What fun! Unfortunately, I cancelled the white braided tunic because it is now sold out in my size. Since reading your response about the tunic, I may go back and order the black. Of course, the tunic wasn’t my only purchase this show!!!
Thank you for all you do for your Linea Ladies.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Chris….I would hate for you to miss out on the braided top because it truly is a special piece.
