Leather or suede Linea vest or jacket this season? Would really like a new suede or leather Linea jacket or vest this year. Please let me know if there will be one available I rather not have to purchase someone else’s.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Toby….there is a moto style leather jacket coming this season.

      1. Toby

Thank you for letting us know–I will be patient and look forward to its arrival.

  2. Susan (aka carlytwila)

I received the pure pink v-neck and WOW is this a gorgeous color. I am curious about your choice of this color for fall. Can you share what your thoughts are for fall coordinating colors? Camel or spruce perhaps?
    Thanks!
    Susan

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Susan, I think camel and spruce would look beautiful with this Pure Pink. For a more traditional combination of course black, navy and grey would look good too…..Winter white crepe pants for the holidays…..Really there are many colors that would look terrific with this pink….both traditional and non-traditional.

Hi Louis I LOVE the lariat….I was wondering if you knew when they would be available on the Q; I’m traveling in the next few weeks and I don’t want to miss…I will copy the ways that you are tying them in the photos – also I’m always looking for a necklace to hang my badge which I have to wear all the time at work, any ideas?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Trish…..I never know when the jewelry will be posted. My show is Aug 31st so I’m hoping it will be posted just before the show, but I know as much as you do….LOL…I wouldn’t advise hanging the badge from the necklace…it might damage the box chain.

  4. Kate

Scorching hot today but I had to go to a lunch meeting. Needed something Friday casual but still professional. Skort to the rescue! Wore the black with the white pebble crepe tunic. Cool, cute, comfy. Love that skort!

  5. Luvitorleaveit

Hi Louis my orders are coming in at a snail pace but I love the moss zebra cardigan I hope the moss color stays in your collection? The black textured dress looks fabulous on it’s a little shorter than I would normally wear but it’s a keeper for sure I ordered up a size based on the forum but it still has more stretch than I though it would….this is the perfect LBD in my book. I am anxiously waiting on my WK V-neck cardigan in the heather grey/blue and the short sleeve top in grey, the grey colorblock and I also saw the grey ponte knit skirt was still available…as you can see I love grey too it’s almost like a neutral color for me and I can wear so many colors with it.

  6. Heather

A267882 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Whisper Knit Short Sleeve Top–dare I say it—I love the new lighter version of whimper knit ( even more than the 37 pieces of regular WK). Sigh!

  7. bcm

    Louis,

I love my alabaster/black ensemble- tres, tres elegant! I am drawn to the currant/burgundy set but unsure what bottom pieces to wear. I know you styled it with the aubergine WK skirt. I don’t own that YET! What else do you suggest? Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Since there aren’t any pants in these colors. I would pair the set with dark grey, navy or black. A camel could also work if you don’t mind the high contrast.

      1. bcm

Thank you. I have the khaki slim pants. Would that work in place of the camel suggestion?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I would think so, but I don’t recall the exact color….you’ll just have to try and see.

  8. Chris S.

    Hello,
I love the currant color block cardigan and matching short sleeve sweater. The enamel station necklace J271861 in wine arrived today. It is perfect to complete the look. My own gold hoops look nice with the necklace, but were there matching earrings for that necklace? I’m so happy that my waitlisted replacement raspberry swing cardigan in the smaller size arrived today. Thank you to the Linea Lady who returned a size large! The raspberry also looks nice with the wine necklace.
I’m looking forward to ordering the “quieter” lariat necklace. While I love the look of your statement necklaces, they just don’t fit my retired lifestyle. You really identified a need of some of your Linea Ladies!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…there were never earrings to “match” the necklace only the Fleur de Lis cross

  9. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis,

Can I wear the smoke grey Pebble Crepe Tunic with Pockets (A213621) with the smoke grey 4-Tier Crinkle Boho Skirt (A70208) even though they are made from different fibers and each fabric has a different texture?

  10. Diamondscribe

Louis, the new medium ENR in the colorblock cardigans and S/S sweaters are PERFECT for us southern Linea Ladies. I love the knit and love the styling of the garments. I will be sure to leave a great review. I actually did order the alabaster short sleeve after all, even though it is short enough that it just skims my waistband. With the way the hem is finished, I think it works even for this 5’9″ gal with a long torso (and short legs…bummer). If it is not too late to suggest something for Fall 2016, I’d love to see this medium ENR done in a 3/4 sleeve V-neck, finished off just like the S/S one this season. And, maybe just an inch longer…pretty please? Also, I’m wearing one of your ponte tunics today. They are my go-to pieces for days when I’m doing nothing but research all day. Will there be any new ponte pieces this F/W season? The three tunics on Q are pretty much sold out in my size. Love my colorblock cardigans and the flared hem cardigans from last month… but ponte is such a great casual-work-day option. Your collections are the best! Something for everyone…

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Diamondscribe….I was actually given some wrong info and passed it along to all of you. One of the ladies recently asked why the fiber content was different between the cardigan and the crew neck since they supposedly were both the med. weight. This puzzled me and bothered me! These were created so long ago that I didn’t remember. I assumed they were both in the med. weight that way we would be sure of color matching between the two pieces. When I questioned this I was told they were both in the med. weight….then I got another e-mail telling me they were mistaken. Upon looking into the records further they realized the crew was indeed in the med weight but the cardigan was the normal WK yarn. They did a great job matching the two weights.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

So what you are saying is that the crew neck S/S sweater is in the ENR medium weight and the cardigan is not in the ENR construction and the normal WK yarn?

And yes they did a great job– I have the currant set.

        Regards,
        Chris

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…no…what I’m saying is….they are both in the ENR construction, but the crew neck is in the new med. weight and the cardigan is is the slightly heavier original weight. That is why the fiber contents are different……the weights of the yarns.

          1. Jane J.

Good morning, Louis, I had asked the original question about the difference in fiber content between the crew neck and the cardigan, so I really appreciate your pursuing it and the clarification now. You’re the best!

          2. Chris/Jazzmom

            Thank you for clarifying this.
            Regards,
            Chris

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

If you like the ponte tunics you should really try the A267873, and the A267874….they are new fabrics but have the same characteristics as ponte…….they are very body flattering………..

      1. Diamondscribe

Louis, I have already bought the A267873 and love it. But, glad you mentioned it so I remember to leave a review on it. I’ve pretty much picked up every Linea Leisure tunic also. They’ve become my new casual “street wear” preference. I did not order A267874 because the one neckline I don’t like is Henley. However, I know to keep an open mind and intend to pay attention when it gets presented. I love the medium weight of the alabaster shell/top. I think it would be phenomenal in a V-neck version.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Definitely pay attention to the Henley when it’s presented….you don’t even see the buttons…it just looks like a jewel neck, and it’s a little lighter weight than the other.

          1. Carol

Bought the blue and the black in the Henley and I really love them. The fabric is so nice, and so hard to describe. It’s something you will want to get home to try. I love it with both the slim leg pants and with the LL boot skirts. Going to wear with a lightweight bright scarf. Great silhouette. Wonderfully comfortable.

  11. Joanne

    Hi Louis
You are so kind to answer all of these questions. Do you think the V neck whisper knit sweater in Oatmeal will go with the Linea Light Khaki pull on ankle pants that are new this season?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne….I compared the colors….The pant is grayer than the sweater. Are they great together…no…but they aren’t terrible either….no one will start pointing their fingers at you thinking you got dressed in the dark….but they definitely aren’t a match.

  12. Catherine

A comment on the asymmetric tunic: It is STELLAR. And I do not like asymmetry or tunics. Hoping for a re-order of this to include black and/or walnut. I cannot wear any of the other colors. I tried the teak, the most likely possible contender, and it is a very bad color for me.

    1. Joanne

I purchased the asymmetric navy sweater to go with my Linea slim ankle pull on pants. Sweater is a touch darker, but is the same hue. Great sweater and so flattering.

  13. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis,

Will there be any skirts or pants in a plaid, houndstooth, or herringbone in the alabaster/black color combination?

    1. louis dell'olio

      no….nothing like that

      1. Kate

But wouldn’t that just be lovely? I’ve worn the violet/black houndstooth skirt you did for us several years ago so often.
Maybe a woven shawl or ruana with a bit of fringe? Next year? I know shawls and scarves haven’t done all that well, though I do see a new one from Liz Clairborne Heritage. Would they let you try again?

  14. Grace

    Dear Louis,

I just wanted to gush over the new alabaster color–it’s gorgeous–and the matching block cardigan. Received both today and I am in love. Exquisite in every way! Will we be seeing any more pieces in alabaster this coming year? Thank you!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Grace…yes there are two more things coming in Alabaster and more next spring.

      1. Grace

That’s wonderful news! I’ll keep my eye peeled…Thanks.

  15. Rebecca

Oh, Louis….I just got home and found my new pure pink v-neck waiting for me. What a GORGEOUS color! I love it. I look so much better in blue-based colors, so this one is perfect – thank you. I also received the currant short sleeve and LOVE that color as well. I will start campaigning now to get a v-neck in currant, and in malachite (which is my all-time favorite color you’ve ever done!). 🙂 Thanks, Louis!

    1. Pat

I would second the request for the malachite and current v-neck sweaters. I would order one in every color available! A true winner. Emphasis on lighter colors so that they can be worn year round.

  16. Feathers

Dear Louis: When do you plan on previewing jackets or outerwear? Other designers are already showing theirs. I am patiently waiting to purchase from your collection. Thanks and have a Great Day. Having problems posting this message.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Feathers…..My outerwear will start in Sept and Oct, but I will start posting as soon as I get them photographed……I’m really busy with other deadlines.

    Louis
I cannot find my gold multi cross neklace(shown with your navy hooded blazer I just ordered).
I am lost without it- I wear it almost daily as well as the silver. When will it be available again & can I pre-order?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Susan….I ask that question daily!! It was supposed to be delivered to the Q the first week of Aug…..processing is slow…..it should be avail any day….definitely before my show………..I say that like I know…..hehe [I heard LOL was out and hehe was in. I have to say I feel a little foolish typing hehe].

      1. Kate

Guessing we’ll be seeing some sneak peeks this week and next leading up to the late August show?

        1. louis dell'olio

You have already seen most of them!!….and many new things and reorders were on those strange hours

      2. Anonymous

LOL, Louis you are soooo funny, I bet you KEEP Jac laughing all the time !

  19. BayAreaGal

Last December, I ordered a black Posh Knit turtleneck. It is so soft and comfortable —keeps me warm without overheating. It always looks elegant on, and it washes like a dream. Well worth the price! I would like to order more. When I go to QVC, though, the page has no sales or color information, then it crashes my browser. So, it’s unclear if you are still offering this product or if more are on the way. Can you enlighten me?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear BatAreaGal…..unfortunately we are no longer making that Tn any more, but you should look under the heading “Posh Knit” which is the cashmere blend group.

  20. Qulia

    Louis,

I received my color block cardigan in alabaster/black today along with the matching alabaster top. LOVE!!!! So flattering and works on my pear shape without grabbing at my hips. I’m calling it my “Downton Abbey” sweater set. Can’t wait to wear with the black faceted “jet” necklace. May I be the first to request next year’s color combination? How about olive/magenta? Years ago you had a ponte long jacket in magenta that you suggested styling with the olive pants and WK turtleneck and that’s how I wear it. It’s a stunning combination. So unexpected and yet so good together. Please consider that for a reorder. I can’t imagine this sweater not having a reorder. It is deluxe!

    Julia

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Julia, I am very happy you are pleased with your new cardigan set…..yes very Downton Abbey…..it definitely has that 20s 30s look. I doubt it will be reordered since the initial selling was only fair. I realize that it was on at 1:00 in the morning and it was difficult for many to watch, but it’s still avail in all colors and sizes

      1. enjay

Louis, these need to be shown at a better time, and they would sell out in a flash! I ordered the alabaster/black – gorgeous. And then, after watching the video of Amy, I ordered the grey/blue – it looks amazing worn casually with jeans and a shirt. Total preppie chic. I also got the SS sweater in alabaster, grey and black – and these are pretty darn perfect. I LOVE the ENR medium weight, the drape of the long cardie, the shorter, more body-conscious fit of the SS sweater. All are fabulous keepers. Get the Q to show them at a better time!

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear enjay….I wish I had that power, but alas I do not.

          1. Grace

Everyone on the forum and here is over-the-moon about the color block cardigan–it’s truly exquisite. If we’d all write our reviews (hint, hint, ladies…) that will help spread the word!

        2. Joanne

I thought the lead up on Inspired Style was cute. Amy asked who everyone’s favorite designer was and no surprise it was Louis and Linea. I think Inspired Style has a following. I always DVR that show. Inspired Style, PM Style and AM Style is usually the shows for the designers.

          1. louis dell'olio

I agree with you Joanne, Inspired Style, Pm Style and AM style get a lot of viewers. I think Late Night with Jayne and Pat could be an incredible show if they put some great product on it instead of old inventory.

  21. Kate

Color block cardigan! Gorgeous, sumptuous, rich, classic, modern…and skinny-fying. Genius!

    1. louis dell'olio

      I guess your cardigan arrived!

      1. Kate

Yep. It’s just so lovely. Now, if only it would cool down do I could wear it.

  22. Bobbie

Hello, Louis. I just wanted to tell you that I really like the new tunics with the white threads. The shape and design is both flattering and comfortable. I really like the weight and feel of the fabric; it will be perfect for cooler months in Texas. I’ve just posted a five star review on QVC’s site. Thank you for making available an endless variety of fashionable clothes that have filled my wardrobe since 2006!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Bobbie, I am pleased to hear that….I never know for sure what weights will be liked by my more southern ladies. If you post on the QVC Linea Forum, I’m sure the women who are there would like to know this.

  23. nikki

Louis, will you be doing any any ponchos this fall season?

    1. louis dell'olio

No ponchos, but some beautiful outerwear.

  24. Carol

Hi Louis, Just rec’d my WK V neck Cardigan in Raspberry. Just like other reviews, mine is too big as it ran large! But I LOVE the color (so much richer and more beautiful than on TV), so am going on Waitlist for a size smaller. Also want to get the gray. My question is …is the gray in this sweater the same as A267882, the WK Short Sleeve Top? And…is the Currant color in the short sleeve close to the Raspberry Color of the V Neck Cardigan (A267864) ?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol…the Greyson are not the same…the cardigan is a heather grey and the short sleeve crew is a solid color…..the currant is much lighter and brighter. I happen to like it worn underneath as an accent.

  25. Grace

    Dear Louis,

I think I know what you’ll say, but thought I’d double check. I’m wondering if the following greys all work together: A231138 Ponte Knit Skirt, A267863 the new safari shirt and the animal instinct tights? Thanks, in advance!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Grace….yes they do work….so does the heather grey tights….they almost match the ponte.

      1. Grace

Thanks, Louis! I happen to own those tights 🙂

  26. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

Sorry that I missed your shows this week but my husband and I were visiting friends on The Sunshine Coast of Vancouver. I brought with me my new wk ivory turtleneck with rib detail, A259110 and I wore it when we went sailing in the evening. I like the ivory almost as much as I like your black turtlenecks! I would leave a review on the Q but I already reviewed the black.

Can’t wait to receive my new color-block cardigan in the alabaster and black that I ordered today,
    Dariann

  27. Mimi

Hi Louis. I started the same time as you. I was 19, a lifetime ago. Bravo was an export company and Mr. Cami was, how should I put it, the King of 7th Avenue textiles. I agree with everything you said. I feel 7th Ave was in its heyday at that period of time. The area was always buzzing and there was excitement in the air. It is a shame what happened to that area. I live in the 60’s, East Side and most of the city hasn’t changed. Some areas have been gentrified. My daughter owns an apt on 19th sheet Chelsea, all professional young people. I really feel my age there. That area has changed for the better. From 6th Ave to 11th Ave except for 14th Street, is now really nice. If you can, when you come to the city, try to see Chelsea Piers. The view from the edge of the pier is amazing. You get the feeling you are somewhere else. You probably know all of this. There is an old saying, ” You Can’t Go Home ” but my memories of that time make me smile. It was tough but great. I hope your memories of that period of your life make you smile. Again, thank you for all that you do. Enjoy this beautiful day.

  28. Nancy (akaTheOwl)

Louis, I too wondered about those pants Deanna was wearing with the asymmetrical teak top. I thought they might have been the “taupe” version of the Linea Leisure pant. Apparently not. Those two new colors (grey and taupe) in the Linea Leisure pant have been up for ordering “on waitlist” for weeks now. Any idea when they might be aired – or will they not be shown because they are an online only item? If so, might you be sneak-peeking them at some not-very-distant time? Lovers of the Linea Leisure pants with inquiring minds want to know 🙂

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Nancy…..the pant Deanna was wearing is a vintage Linea pant….The style # is A221798. I do not recall the color name. Many of you own the pant since it is completely sold out. It was in my woven stretch gaberdine. I liked the soft beige/wheat with the teak and sage color. The combination is very soothing. The color of the sage on the Linea web site is sooooo wrong! It looks like a Pea Green when it’s really much softer and less yellow….more like Aloe. The new L.L. pants aren’t due until Jan. I keep asking why they post the colors so early knowing after 3 months on wait list they will automatically cancel the orders and frustrate everyone! It is in their computer operating procedure and no one feels the need or it’s too expensive to change it….I am just guessing. My samples won’t be here until Dec….so I can not give you a sneak peek. What I will say is the colors are part of an early spring L.L. group

      1. Nancy (akaTheOwl)

A very big thanks Louis! I’m so glad you mentioned that automatic canceling after 3 months on waitlist. I will definitely not add that frustration to my life by even THINKING about ordering these early. Will just look forward to the sneak peek around the end of the year and a new “early spring L.L. group” :). Thanks so much for the info and clarification on the pants. And I love the “Aloe” description of the Sage top!

  29. Debbie M.

    Dear Louis,

What pants was Deanna wearing with the cinnamon WK tunic?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie, Jac was wearing the cinnamon with the Walnut Linea Body legging

      1. Debbie M.

I am sorry, maybe it was the teak, it was a khaki colored pant.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes she was wearing a vintage pair of Linea pants. I can give you the A number if you want, but I don’t remember the color name.

          1. Debbie M.

Thank You. If they are vintage Linea, I might have them. I do have a pair of side zip in a similar color.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

They weren’t side zip but similar will work!

        2. louis dell'olio

A221798 is the pant she was wearing. They are vintage Linea, don’t recall the color name, but many of you own it.It looks good with the teak and sage

          1. Jane J.

Louis, The color was called Pale Sand. The pants also came in Lavender and Black. There were also jackets with pearl buttons to match and also matching tanks.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane your recall is better than mine….LOL

  30. Sharon

Hello louis, I wanted to order the blue grey cardi but the grey sweater sold out and I would need a sweater in blue or grey to match. Is there any thing coming up and maybe some pants to match too?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Sharon….there aren’t any other sweaters coming in those colors, and I’m not sure if the existing grey sweaters will match. I would suggest, instead of a sweater, the A267863, Slate blouse. It really looks wonderful under the cardigan. Deanna was wearing it during the presentation. There may be a video of the cardigan..

  31. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

I just wanted to thank you again for making it possible for us to enjoy your genius and creativity. Although what I’m about to write might appear to be a wee bit odd and off the wall (I’ve had nothing but coffee this a.m., honestly), I feel compelled to write that enjoying your fashions and jewelry is such a satisfying experience. You know, like listening to Sinatra (at this moment, I’m listening to the incomparable “Strangers in the Night”), finishing off a delicious meal or completing a fantastic book or seeing a movie that speaks to your soul. Yep, you are on that level for me, dear fashion friend.

Thank you for offering your finery and jewelry on QVC. No longer the active and aggressive shopper I once was, the convenience of shopping online work so well for me.

    1. louis dell'olio

Goldie….I’m happy to be here for you.I’m your personal shopper!

      1. Goldie76

This “service” is an incredible privilege — only in America, as I like to say. And, as you always say, if you like it, buy it, because the occasion will come along and you’ll be ready. I cannot tell you what a relief it is to receive an invitation and not have to go out and seek an appropriate outfit. Oh the panic. Oh the pressure to fit in a shopping trip.

I’m pretty much covered, thanks to you. As I’ve indicated, I’m not quite the robust shopper I once was. Plus, what you offer is superior to anything I would have found anyway.

  32. Mimi

Good morning Louis. I hope you and Jac had an easy drive back home last night. I bought 6 new pieces yesterday. I know you don’t like to help with sizing but….I missed out on the wing collar shirts last time so I am ordering 4 today. The problem is I am a small in all of your tops. I am a 34D (105 lbs) and when I spoke to CS they said the xs is 37 and the small is 39. there in lies the problem. I like the blouses I wear under my blazers to be fitted so I thought I should order an xs. Did I give you a headache yet? I am waiting for the 2 new colors in the wk turtlenecks and also your new ponte pants. I hope they will either be slim, fitted or even leggings (I wear xxs ). I bought 3 pairs of the super ponte and I love them. A little big in my hips but I fold them over at the waistline. Perfection. Thank you again for.taking your time to answer my questions. I hope you, Jac and the girls are all doing well.

    1. Kate

Mimi–may I weigh in? I’d also a 34D but I weight +30 lbs on you. I wear a small in that shirt and it’s a comfortable fit. An XS will be fine and even roomy.

      1. louis dell'olio

Thank you Kate….You all can help Mimi much better than I can.

      2. Mimi

Thanks Kate. Have a great weekend and you also stay well.

    2. louis dell'olio

Dear Mimi….I think you would do much better if you asked this “fit” question on the Linea Forum. Since this wing collar shirt is a reorder and many women have already received the new color light tan, they could give you a much better answer than I can. I would only be guessing. There are women exactly your size who could guide you better…They , as you know, are an incredible group of women who look out for each other.Since you like slim pants have you tried the A267864, the are in a new wonderful fabric and the fit will be perfect for you. The Light Khaki is almost an exact match to the new Wing collar shirt in Pale tan…..or whatever the names are…I can’t keep track anymore….LOL

      1. Mimi

Thanks Louis. I go on the forum a few times a week. They are great gals, of course because they’re Linea Gals. I bought 3 pairs of the slim pants, 2 black, 1 khaki. They’re a little big on my hips but I always have that problem in any pant. Thanks again. Enjoy your weekend and stay well.

        1. louis dell'olio

Do you have someone to do alterations…Taking the pant in is the simplest alteration to do….especially if it’s just off the hip.

          1. Mimi

There are so many tailors in the city but I usually do the tapering myself when I have a hip probem. Voila, a perfect fit. I haven’t shopped at Bloomies, Barney’s or L&T since you came to QVC. You have made my life so much easier. As others have said to you, you are my personal designer. How cool is that! I keep meaning to ask you, do you miss 7th Avenue? I do. I worked at Bravo (Textile) as sales manager for Morris Cami. Even though you worked at AK you may remember him. It feels like it was a lifetime ago. Again, thank you for all that you do for us! You are GREATLY appreciated.

            1. louis dell'olio

Dear Mimi….Bravo doesn’t ring a bell. I worked directly with the mills in Italy, France and England mostly, and traveled back and forth. I really didn’t buy anything domestically. Was Bravo import fabrics?….I do not miss 7th Ave at all. My manufacture’s office in just around the corner from where I worked at AK…and I have to periodically go in for meetings. It’s actually the “sister” building. I miss what 7th Ave used to be, but it doesn’t exist anymore. Very very few DESIGNERS still have show rooms on 7th Ave. They have all moved away. 7th Ave has turned into a very dirty place….a thoroughfare for tourists on their way from Pen Station to Times Square.Gone are days of the models, the tailors, the hustle and bustle of garment racks on the CLEAN streets of the garment district. It has changed so much since I started working on 7th Ave when I was 17…..it’s really all very sad….a time gone bye…..in my opinion it was a much better time. I try to go there as seldom as possible.

  33. Kate

Velvet leggings? Were those vintage or coming? Share!

    1. louis dell'olio

I knew YOU WOULD NOTICE THEM!!! I almost didn’t show them…..They are vintage. I did want to do them but I got a big no thank you????They are Jac’s vintage GAP….when the Gap was good.

      1. Kate

Wouldn’t you just know it. I have some DKNY (back when it was good) velvet leggings but would love a new pair.

        Please try again!!

        1. louis dell'olio

I will for next fall….maybe part of my Linea Leisure line

          1. Carol

Yes, please do! We want! We want!

I cannot imagine that you thought ANYTHING gets past our notice. You don’t think we watch the shows just once do you?

            1. Grace

LOL, Carol. That’s so true–like many others, I DVR every show and re-watch (or come here) when I need styling inspiration. The shows also remind me of what I have in my closet and what I’ve forgotten to order!

  34. Kate

We’re all ganging up on you with questions! One more…

Will there be any new bottoms in charcoal grey to match the new swing sweater, new V-neck and work back to the Animal Instincts grey tights?

    1. Enjay

Kate, you’re costing me money!!! I just bought the grey colorblock sweater, after seeing it on Amy in the video – stinking cute worn that casually! And now I need the grey animal instinct tights. I have those in black and love them! (Heading back to the Q to order.)

      1. Kate

Animal Instincts turned out to be my favorite of all the tights (the lace back ones came in a close second). Guessing they’re not coming back so like you, I’m stocking up. All that’s left in my size (B) is grey. I bought 3!

        1. Enjay

I also love the pinstripe in black, herringbone in walnut and the sheer tights in smoke. If these aren’t coming back, I think I’m going to do a size B sweep of what’s left. They’re too good to lose!

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear enjay….they aren’t coming back….so get what you want while they are avail.

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

The grey will look fabulous with the grey v-neck, a short black skirt and shoe boots.

    2. Grace

Kate, great question! I have the grey ponte pants, but would love the exact match of a charcoal grey for my v-neck. If Louis confirms one is coming this season (fingers crossed)…I’d better pick up the colorblock sweater in grey, too. Adore all greys.

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes….there will be a boot cut woven stretch pant….32 inches long.

      1. Grace

        Yay! Thanks, Louis.

  35. Enjay

Louis, I’m loving these gorgeous WK neutrals! I’ve picked up the SS sweater in black, charcoal and alabaster, and the v-neck in charcoal and oatmeal. Looking forward to new colors in the classic turtleneck – will there be any new colors coming this Fall?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes….very different, but one is the heather grey like the v-neck and the swing cardi.

  36. Grace

Louis, I’m so thrilled to see new colors in the WK v-neck. Might there be a chance we could see it in alabaster in the future?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If the wheat sells out…they are too close to have both colors. The buyers wouldn’t buy colors so close, even thought they are different

      1. Grace

I see…that makes perfect sense, Louis. I did pick up the oatmeal and charcoal in the v-neck, the black and alabaster SS and, of course, the alabaster block cardigan. Going back for the burgundy set after seeing the on air presentation. That entire look is so exquisite. I’m in WK heaven!

      2. Teri

        Is wheat the oatmeal? Thanks.

  37. Kate

QVC loaded new colors of the WK v-neck including “Pure Pink.” Do they mean “Perfectly Pink” or is this an entirely new shade?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s a new shade. The P Pink has peace undertones and the Pure Pink is bluer…..very pretty.

      1. Rebecca

I am THRILLED to read this! I ordered the pure pink sight unseen. This v-neck is my all-time favorite whisper knit piece.

      2. Joanne

I ordered the oatmeal in the V neck and the navy asymmetrical sweater. I just love the whisper knit sweaters. I took your advice and I am going to try the navy asymmetrical sweater with your new navy ankle pull on ankle pants. I love those pants Louis. I hope QVC reorders. I hope they become a staple in your collection. I own 2 in black, 2 in light khaki and 1 in Navy. They have been my go to pants all summer. They could not be more perfect.

I am sure everyone says this to you. Thank you for taking care of your customers with your blog. It is hard to buy from television and I am a normal size. I check your personal website as well as the QVC forum almost every day for updates, reviews etc. Thank you again for your kindness.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne….I doubt the pant will be reordered, but maybe we will both be surprised.

          1. Joanne

I am sorry to hear that information. They are wonderful pants. Did they get a lot of returns?

            1. louis dell'olio

From what I have heard…yes….there are quite a few left…….too bad it’s a great pant.

  38. nikki

Louis, I rec’d the albaster short sleeve sweater and its a beauty. Now I am looking at the currant, Would the currant work with the aubergine quilted jacket? I have the aubergine jacket and absolutely love it, so if the currant color works with that, it would be great.
    thank you

  39. Kate

Sorry to be so chatting this morning!

The s/s/ sweater in Alabaster is now down to very low quantity in several sizes (1 left in 3X, 16 left in XS, not many more in SM). Black is also dwindling.

    If you want, don’t wait!

    1. Anonymous

Size 3X is now Sold Out Available on Waitlist!

      1. Chris S.

How do you find out the remaining quantity on items?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Kate has the answer to that question….she’s figured it all out!

    2. Lee in Minnesota

Okay Kate spill it please — how do we check quantities?? And, thanks!

      1. Kate

        Easy but labor-intensive!

You just keep adding in increments of 5 to your cart! When you get to the end of the inventory in that size, it will put only what’s left into your cart.

By the way, XS in Alabaster, for example, is now 11.

        1. Lee in Minnesota

          Scathingly brilliant.

  40. bcm

Louis, do you think the new color block cardigans can be worn be petites? I am 5 ft 2 in and don’t want to look foolish. But I do so love the alabaster/black combo.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear bcm, The length doesn’t bother me for petites. If it looks more like a sweater coat or duster that’s a good look too. The only concern I would have is the sleeve length, but if you own any other Linea cardigans and they were fine….this will be too. The other concern would be the pocket placement may be low, but you can’t even see the pockets on the cardigan so that might not be an issue either….You just have to wrap your head around the idea that it may look more like a duster on you or a 3/4 sweater than a shorter cardigan. I don’t see anything wrong with the way that would look. In the end it’s your comfort level.

      1. bcm

Thank you . I do appreciate your prompt reply. I fell in love with the cardigan immediately and it was a go, but sometimes we overthink things and I began to doubt myself. Success has a lot to do with attitude, and how you carry yourself. I think this look is so elegant and I know that will carryover in my carriage. Today is my birthday, so its a perfect day and I will order this at midnight. Cheerio.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear bcm Happy Birthday!….From one Leo to another….you hit the nail on the head…..it is ALL about attitude. Iris Apfel is a diminutive women, but she dresses and thinks like she is a 6 foot model. If you think clothes overwhelm you….they will, but if you think like Iris that you can wear just about anything…..you can….. If the sleeve is long…cuff them….it’s all good. I have found with over sized clothes, which I love and so many women don’t get, or are afraid of because they automatically think it makes them look fat….if the sleeve length is correct then it all works…….just wear a slim pant and you should be good to go.

          1. Victoria 1

            So true Louis…
I love the casual elegance of oversize if shoulder fits and sleeve length works! But have also always been a push up the sleeve girl! I never button more than one button, if that, on any garment. American sportswear is still my favorite take on fashion and you do so beautifully. I could start my own sweater shop with just my Linea purchases …all still in beautiful wearable shape! Bought 3 of the new button v neck cardigans couple of weeks ago/ bought early this more your alabaster/ blk and gray/ blue cardigans and shells…thx

  41. Goldie76

    Dear Wonderful, Wonderful, Louis —

Two treasures arrived today: the Linea Logo bracelet in goldtone and the Bold Geometric Shape/Dingle Dangle necklace in gunmetal. I’m pleased you placed the weight of the bracelet in the individual charms rather than the chain (or both). The chain is substantial enough, but the charms are the perfect weight. Love! As for the necklace in gunmetal, Goldie here has to grant that it gives the Russian gold version a run for its money. So thrilled with all my recent Linea jewelry purchases. Thank you for designing and producing them, Louis.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Goldie….I’m so happy you are happy! Please review the pieces on the Linea site as well as letting the ladies know on the forum….if you still participate?

      1. Goldie76

I still leave reviews but have left the forum. I hope the ladies read your blog as well as the reviews.

        1. Goldie76

Forgot to mention that I already gave a 5-star review for the Bold Geometric necklace. Fantastic piece!

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

unfortunately there are more women on the forum then read my website.

          1. Kate

            And we miss you Goldie.

So, the alabaster sweater arrived and the color is so rich–like a hue you’d find in really, really $$$ cashmere. Just a perfect neutral to bring new life to all the sweaters bought seasons past. LDO to the rescue, once again. Sad that we can’t have a shawl of this color.

            1. Grace

Kate, what a great idea…a shawl in alabaster would be heavenly!

          2. Beryl

Love, love love the new alabaster. What a fantastic color.

            1. Nancy (akaTheOwl)

All the forum participants read the reviews Louis so the word definitely gets out that way. I no longer participate in the forum either but if folks are leaving reviews, believe me, they are getting read.

            2. Grace

Goldie and Nancy, we miss you both!

          3. Enjay

Goldie and Nancy, I enjoyed reading your contributions very much, and am sorry you experienced any negativity on the forum. Although I wasn’t as regular a contributor as either of you, I also stopped posting a little while ago.

Louis, I am eagerly awaiting the new SS sweater – ordered two colors, and have a feeling that I’ll be getting the other two tomorrow. I just love the slim, figure-flattering line and simple silhouette. And can’t wait to see the alabaste

            1. Kate

Friends, the QVC forums is a whole other place now that it’s moderated. We’re having a great time posting and are being totally left alone; in fact some of the worst troublemakers appear to have left the forum entirely. Trolls don’t even bother to try, as they know they’ll be immediately poofed.

Please consider coming back. If not everyday, that during the shows!

        3. Sharon Santourian Holman

I got the gold signature bracelet . It’s stunning! I will post my review after I wear it a few times , as I always do. Miss you Goldie.

  42. Debra

Dear Louis, does the new great gray and blue color block cardigan match the pewter tank that came with the pewter swing cardigan? I also have the lapis tank and cardigan. Will there be a currant cardigan to match the short sleeve sweater? Thank you so much!
    All the Best! Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra….I know longer have those samples to check. There will not be a solid Currant cardigan….only the color block.

  43. bcm

Louis, Your new ss alabaster top is gorgeous. You mentioned that there will be other pieces coming in that luscious color. A skirt, pants, jacket? Can you please explain what and when we can expect to see them. You know how needy and impatient we devotees of your creations are!!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

A tunic shirt….a cardigan and a very interesting jacket indoor/outdoor.When they will be shown I don’t know. “they” keep changing things up. Some things that are supposed to be early are shown later and the opposite happens too….so I never know until I get the script.

      1. bcm

Thanks for your reply. Sounds wonderful. I was hoping for pants or skirt to complete a soft suiting look. Maybe farther into the future? Will be awaiting all the goodies!

  44. Kathy/Wis

    Dear Louis
Are there charm braclets coming to go with the geometric or wind chime necklaces?
    Thank you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy….First the charm bracelets are here, and I think I would like them with the wind chime necklace since they both have open work.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Maybe I misunderstood you….if you mean any other than what is now avail….no

  45. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis,

I have started going through my closets to assess what I need for fall and winter before your next shows.

Is there a color coming in a skirt, pant, jacket, and/or sweater that would match the Sienna color in the Long Sleeve Lace Top(A237559)? Would the older Nutmeg items work with it? I had been considering getting some items in Nutmeg. I can wear it with my black solids for sure. Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Also, forgive me if I missed a previous response, but will there be a Perfectly Pink Whisper Knit Turtleneck in the future? You know, I just love that color. Last week I got another positive comment when I wore the Perfectly Pink Denim Vest(A252356). I truly do get a compliment every single time I wear that vest–no exaggeration. LOVE THAT PERFECTLY PINK!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

First….yes to the perfectly pink and more than a TN….I will have to check on the sienna lace….off the top of my head I would say other than black….no….but even I sometimes forget whats coming.

  46. Joanne Conway

    Hi Louis
When do you think you will be offering the non cardigan swing sweater this year. I stalked it last year to no avail.
I am determined not to miss it this year. Also can you share the colors that will be offered?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne….it is due in October….but….since it is a reorder QVC can post the new colors as soon as they are processed into inventory. I would think this would happen at the end of Sept, early Oct., but I can’t be sure. The colors will be a new Merlot, new Perfectly Pink, new Imperial Violet, new Tobacco [which is also a new Linea Body tight color now avail], and black which is the only color returning. My plan is to drop the old colors each season, and if it is reordered again I will only have new….so it will be a one shot deal.

      1. Carol

Yes! I love dropping the old colors and adding new. That’s one terrific sweater. I could live in them.

        crdlb

      2. Joanne

        Louis
I am happy you are repeating black. This is the color I stalked last year. This sweater will look sensational with my new black ankle pull on pants that are so popular in your line. The tobacco sounds pretty interesting also.

      3. JBCinSD

What is the item number of the swing cardigan? If there are any left in the old colors, there must still be a photo and video.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear JBCinSD….not sure which swing cardigan you are referring to….there are two, A237402 which is older, on clearance and only two colors left, but sizes are avail, and the new swing cardigan, A267864

  47. Saphira

Hi Louis- I absolutely love the skort! It’s just perfect and I’ve worn it three times so far and it’s not even a week since it arrived. I’m going back for brown and hope you can give us this in navy and dark gray someday-and I’ve never work skirts before. Brilliant!

I too had size problems and returned the raspberry swing cardigan for waitlist XS, the small measured and fit like a size medium. I did get the raspberry tank and already have the raspberry shawl so I’m crossing my fingers for a return. The color is to die for.

Will you please describe the alabaster color for the short sleeve sweater? I already own several and hope to pick up a light color along with currant – but I’m not sure what alabaster is or whether it would work for me.

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Saphira…..Alabaster is in the ivory family. It isn’t as light as my ivory. It’s creamier with a touch of pink. It’s really a wonderful neutral and can be worn with anything

  48. Chris S.

    Hello,
I received my replacement v-neck swing cardigans in grey and blue in size large. I had to size down from an xl. The size large fits beautifully with room for a blouse or a t-neck. The chest measurement of these size large cardigans, however, is the measurement of the xl on the click here chart. I’m on the wait list for raspberry in size large and am hoping for a return. I have the matching shawl in raspberry. I’m so glad I took a chance and re-ordered the smaller size…this cardigan is a beauty! Thank you for another lovely item!

I ordered the teak asymmetric tunic. Does your gunmetal jewelry go with the teak or is silver a better option? I have lots of silver jewelry, but have ordered a few pieces of gunmetal to go with your gunmetal buttons.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris….glad to hear the smaller size in the swing cardigan worked out for you. Silver or gunmetal both work. The grey bead necklace in the sneak peek has silver links. Both colors look equally well.

  49. Karen in WA

Louis, will the skort be proper in winter with leggings and boots?

I got the tobacco leggings, I love that color, will there be some other tobacco pieces coming?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Karan….absolutely. If there is a video of the skort you will see Jac in the skort with black leggings and shoe boots. The tobacco will work beautifully with the black or coffee bean skort.

  50. Lyn08

Louis, I just ordered the new blue Linea Leisure Henley (when QVC had 4 easy pays last night!). Are you going to post photos of the different colors?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lyn….The Q is posting all the pictures so early that they are now sneak peeking me! These are all clothes that are planned for my Aug 31st show! so I haven’t even done the collages yet. As soon as I do I’ll post

  51. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
I just wanted to tell you that I changed my size in the v neck swing in charcoal from medium to small and it is gorgeous.
Fit is perfect – but the chest size is like the medium should be. It is wonderful and know I will get lots of wear. Like the weight of it. Also seems to have less wrinkles than some of the other WK tops.
Also waiting for the Skort. Took the plunge, will let you know when I receive.
    Thanks for all you do.

  52. Joanne Conway

    Hi Louis
Will the new Linea whisper knit asymmetrical sweater A263355 in Navy match
the Linea knit pull on ankle pants A265615 in Navy?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne…i compared the two pieces and they do not match, but I don’t mind them together because they aren’t totally different blues. The pant is actually a little lighter in color.

  53. Kate

The skort. You made a liar our of me, LDO. I swore “so not for me”. Well, never say never.

I took a leap and ordered on whim last week. This is one great contemporary garment, like something from Vince. Love that it looks exactly like a great short skirt but when I’m climbing out of my very tall SUV (hybrid, of course), I’m not putting on a show. Just the sort of clothing that Claire McCardell used to do; no wonder it’s a style that’s stood the test of time. Can’t wait to pair with tights and booties this fall.

    Don’t know why I ever doubt you…!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Kate you must trust me….I think I have a pretty good handle on what you like and what you don’t. I knew if you gave the skort a chance you would like it. It’s short, it’s slim, it’s not matronly or frumpy at all. Listen….I wasn’t a “skort” designer either, but I designed a short wrap skirt and attached some shorts that you can’t SEE and don’t add bulk….and it has POCKETS….What could be wrong with that…I know you liked the cotton shorts so I knew you would like this…..it’s also all about the fabric….not your typical skort fabric……enjoy!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Now you have to do me a favor…..repeat what you said to me on the Linea Forum!

      1. Kate

With pleasure. In fact, I’m going to order a second color. This is year round dressing in LA.

  54. diane bloch

I bought the new tunic in the cinnamon and the new WK tops in currant and alabaster. It never
ceases to amaze me how you come up with these lovely new colors Can’t wait to get these beauties.
    Thanks

  55. bonnie

Louis, should we order the same size in this gorgeous asymmetrical hem tunic as we did in the infamous swing? Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bonnie…I think you should order your normal Linea basic sweater WK size. All sweaters are individually fit, and they are all different. The fitters try to keep them as consistent as possible, considering the difference in styles.

  56. Rebecca

Hi Louis! I am intrigued with the new currant color as offered in the WK short sleeve top A267882. Can you please describe the color – is it cool or warm-based? Is there orange or brown in it, or pink or purple? On my monitor it looks like it has more pink in it than raspberry does, which would be awesome. I love the raspberry, and recently bought the tank, swing cardigan, and shawl, but I was a tiny bit disappointed to find how dark it is – I would LOVE a whisper knit in a not-too-bright dark pink/berry. By the way, LOVE the new swing cardigan and how it fits. Thanks, Louis.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Rebecca….The Currant, like the berry it is named after , has a pink-ish base. It is much much lighter than the raspberry, and it is very complexion friendly. I think it is just what you are looking for. You could even wear it under your raspberry cardigan to lighten it up.

      1. Rebecca

It sounds PERFECT! Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I’m looking forward to seeing what else you are bringing us in this new color.

  57. Judy

Louis, are you going to post pictures of the Whisper knit asymmetric hem tunic? A263355. It is already posted on QCV, but I always like to see the various ways you style the garment.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy…..I have just re-posted them…..but if you would like to see the original posts with the descriptions of each….you will have to go back to the 2/22/15 posts of these sweaters.

      1. Judy Ann

Here’s the link to make it easier.

  58. Happy Lady

Description ALERT!!! A263355 Asymmetrical Tunic. Your description says and pics look like short 3/4 sleeves. QVC description says long sleeves. Hope you will give a clarification for posting on the forum.

Also the measurements seem odd. The sweep is only 1″ wider than the waist. Is that due to the open seam on one side from below the waist to the bottom of the sweater? I have been waiting forever for this beauty ordered all the colors. LOVE!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear HL…..I am correct. My sleeve measures approx 18 1/2 inches. That is a 3/4 sleeve. The normal long sleeve length is approx 23 to 24 inches. I will notify the Q about the description. Thanks for bring it to my attention.

    2. louis dell'olio

The sweep measurement is difficult on this style, as you said, due to the asymmetric side slit. They actually should not have given a sweep measurement. The side opening gives all the room anyone would need.

  59. Yvette

Louis, I love the new WK short sleeve top (A267882)! Will there be other pieces coming in these colors? I’m sure I can work these beauties into my wardrobe in many ways, but always curious if you might have something specific coming along to go with.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Yvette….I didn’t even realize that the new top was posted. It’s a great little sweater and yes there will be coordinates.

      1. Yvette

Yippee!! Off to order while my size is still there.

This has probably been asked and answered: is “Alabaster” a pink-ish nude?

      1. Seka

Will let Louis answer that – but FYI – there is a photo on the Q! I just ordered it!

        1. Kate

Yes, I know and I too ordered it but you know their photos are never true!!!

      2. Kate

And, is there more coming in this hue?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Kate…ther are more coordinates coming in Alabaster …I’ll check tomorrow…it’s a beautiful creamy color. I’ll see if I would call it Pink based….however it’s not nude

      3. Louis Dell'Olio

Morning Kate…I checked the color, and yes it does have a slight pink undertone, but it is not the nude pink that Pamela Dennis used if that is what you were thinking. It’s a marvelous color that will work with all base colors, and even softens Black.

        1. Kate

Sounds very luxe. Glad I ordered and excited to see other pieces. Perhaps one day you can do a nude pink for us.

    2. Melissa

I’ve been waiting for these! Have been checking the Q daily and under Louis’s jewelry selection I’d click new arrivals so they’d show first, Not so this time. They were at the bottom and I didn’t scroll down far enough. Thanks so much for posting about them. Just ordered each color.

2020 Tokyo Olympics–just retuned from visiting my family in Tokyo. Japan is busy preparing for hosting the 2020 Olympics. This is a big honor. My 25 year old cousin is an apprentice architect in Japan his company has a small role in the Olympic village. He tells me they see traditional designs in new fabrics emerging in unusual ways in preparation for this event. Also very exciting 3D printed fabric & materials all with intense Japanese designs that feature the past & future. Perhaps Linea will offer us something Japanese inspired.

    Dear Louis
I received the new placement and it is lovely. I was wondering if you could do a charm braclet for the waterfall necklace?
Thank you for all the wonderful things you bring us.

It’s tough to buy earrings if the matching pearl necklaces are no longer made!! But anyway, I think the sets will sell, many women prefer to match earrings with necklace and if they can be bought together– that is a big incentive!

    1. louis dell'olio

Morning Chris….what pearl necklace are you referring to?

Chocolate Dingle Dangle Necklace is FAB U LOUS! Now, please, please, please introduce J288005 Bold Hoop Clip earrings in CHOCOLATE. Your other earrings are just too small. You offer gold, silver and gunmetal. Now we Chocolate! Thanks, Louis.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear HL…..I would have had it in Chocolate, but the factory it was made in can’t do chocolate plating???? So, I have plans for some new earring for next year made by a different manufacturer. There was originally a matching earring to the Dingle Dangle, but they didn’t buy it, because earring sales are slow????That’s another reason I’m doing more sets. Please leave your reviews on the Linea jewelry site and the Linea Forum. Very few are writing reviews. Since I don’t have formal jewelry shows…this is the only way to get the word out!

OK will do. What’s wrong with these buyer’s, don’t they wear your line? Wish I lived in the area and could corner them in the grocery store between the fresh veggies and the bread; I’d give them a piece of my mind; will maybe not a piece but I’d give them some strong suggestions.
