    Dear Louis,
I was THRILLED when I saw the Swing Sweater is now available in Perfectly Pink. I’m getting that and the Swing Sweater with a Turtleneck (A268137) in Ivory. You have made me a very happy camper! Thanks, Louis!

  2. MadameDuFiffers

Perfectly Pink or Pure Pink: Which one is a blue-pink?

  3. Sharon

Thank-you Louis for the color info. I went back and ordered two more pink sweaters one turtleneck and one swing. I wore my other pink turtlenecks out by washing it so much.

  4. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

Louis, I just ordered the sing sweater in a few colors. I own the violet in the Linea Leisure raglan sleeve tunic. Is the leisure violet similar to the imperial violet in the swing sweater? I know colors vary with fabric content, but I’m trying to get a handle on what is “imperial violet”. Deborah

    1. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

That’s swing sweater. Tough not having an edit button, LOL.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Deborah……the violet of the Linea Leisure tunic and the Imperial Violet WK are color wise exactly the same….except one is “Imperial”….LOL

      1. Lyn

I didn’t realize that. I already have the Violet Linea Leisure tunic (and the Merlot). I’m wondering now if I should get the Tobacco instead (I have auburn hair).

  5. Chris S.

    Good Morning,
Your classic t-neck is back in stock in ivory. My original ivory t-neck was a very different shade of ivory than the ivory cardigan with signature buttons and the ivory drape front cardigan. Do you know if the restocked ivory is the original shade or more like the two cardigans? I’ve enjoyed putting colors with my two ivory cardigans, but I so want to make an all ivory set with a t-neck.
    Thank you.
P.S. I’m having a hard time deciding if I should step way out of my box and order the darling zebra coat in the grey/black. I’ve never worn an animal print!! The style is perfect! I keep repeating my mantra “trust Louis, trust Louis.”

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…..unfortunately I do not receive sames in repeat colors, only the first time they are ordered…..so I do not have the newest version to compare. It is very difficult to maintain the exact same color from dye lot to dye lot….especially with ivory and black…..a guaranteed match is impossible….when they do match it’s a miracle…That’s the reason I always suggest getting the matching pieces during the same season, because the yarn is dyed at one time for both styles…i.e…..a cardigan and tank or the color block cardigan and coordinating shell……..The grey and black Zebra isn’t as out there as you may think….The Heather Grey with black is very sophisticated…Of course if you have never worn animal patterns this would be very different for you….but….that’s a GOOD THING!

  6. Pepper

    Hello Louis,
I see the swing sweater is back in merlot, will that match the aubergine whisper knit skirt or if not is a matching piece coming in? Speaking of whisper knit skirts, will any more be coming back I hope? I own every version in every color except the navy which I missed in XXS.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The Merlot is a very different wine from the Aubergine. The Aubergine is much darker…the Merlot is more of a cranberry red. They do look good together. I.E Aubergine WK skirt and tights. I do not know if the WK skirt is coming back, nor do I know which style.I will definitely push for it.

  7. Sharon

I just ordered three new swing sweaters in the new colors and now the Turtlnecks showed up on QVC so I went ahead and ordered three of those. My concern is if they don’t show us the colors it could mean a lot of returns and we know hurts future sales. So right now I have ordered nine sweater and I don’t even my zebra coat. Please tell th Q they need to get those colors up so we can see what we are ordering. By the way thanks for the pastel colors that some of us have been asking for.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon…if only I had that power. It is a whole different department that handles the pictures on the QVC site…I don’t even know who they are. I think they like it that way…LOL…You can see the T Necks on the Moto video. I can assure you the colors are all beautiful….you know what the tobacco is…it works perfectly with the Zebra coat.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

You know the perfectly pink….the imperial violet is the same color as the violet in the Linea Leisure raglan sleeve tunic….the tobacco is a smoky quartz color and is the same color as the Zebra coat……Merlot is a cranberry red….lighter and redder than the Aubergine, but they look great together.

  8. wendee

Will the poncho and long tunic v neck shetland sweater be coming back? New to your line and I love love love!!! Thank you, Wendee

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear wendee….only the v neck….the poncho had too many returns and went on clearance…where it sold in a flash….go figure.

  9. Mary in CT

    Hi Louis,
Will your brick red whisper knit scarf, A257914, match the brick red woven skirt, A257285? I own this suit in black and the jacket is my favorite-just the right length for me!

    Thanks,
    Mary from CT

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary…yes they are the same. The colors may be very slightly different due to the different fabrics, but they were meant to go together and they do.

  10. MadameDuFiffers

    Hi Louis,

Just saw your question. I’m about 5’9″ (doc tells me I’m shrinking lol). My ideal lengths are 28″ – 30″. I sometimes can wear a 27″ if I wear a skirt, but I rarely wear skirts (semi-retired, casual work environment).

I have gray hair, light coloring, brown-hazel eyes (Italian…I believe we are paisans, yes?). I only bring up my coloring because the original swing sweater is back up!!!!!! No color swatches tho!!! I’m hoping the Imperial Violet is a color I can wear!!!

Please, I’m begging you, PLEASE put up a sneak peak of the new colors. Please, please, please!!

I’m putting it on a check hold as soon as I submit this!!

TIA and have a wonderful day.

    Madame

Hey Ladies A259620 swing whisper knit sweater is up and
available in 4 new colors. Enjoy!

    1. MadameDuFiffers

No color swatches yet. I’ve been stalking this since the day it first aired. Thank goodness I was able to get a black that popped back in, but I need some color in my winter wardrobe. Please, Louis, please put up a sneak peak of the new colors!!!

  12. Karen in WA

Louis, I have ordered the multi rib WK sweater in black. Would the textured knit pull on skirt (265623) in black go with it? I am always insecure about different textures. You’ve said trust my instincts, but my instincts aren’t that trustworthy. Thanks

    1. Beryl

Just received the quilted jacket and I LOVE it. It looked shiny during the presentation and I tried to cancel my order but they wouldn’t let me. So happy I
got it. It’s so beautiful. Waiting for the zebra coat.Don’t really need it in NC but who cares.

      1. Goldie76

        Beryl,

I love your attitude about picking up the zebra coat. It is a matter of grabbing the glamour and fun of the moment, isn’t it? Such a coat puts color in one’s cheeks and a spring in one’s step. What an exciting “coat moment” for Linea Ladies the zebra offers (as though that trench that belongs in the pantheon of Linea fashions wasn’t enough).

I’m getting giddy from all this.

        1. Beryl

          Goldie,
At age 84 I’m happy I still have an attitude.
          PS I love your posts.

          1. Goldie76

            Beryl,

You are a wonderfully adventurous woman, and I am not that much younger than you. I still have thriving interests in fashion, makeup and looking my best. And because (I hope) much of my revelatory info has been deleted from the QVC forums, I will tell you (and all Linea blog readers) my age. I’m very open about it in real life because, frankly, I see no reason to apologize for having lived, having survived. Yes, I understand ours is a society that seems to worship the pre-pubescent, but hang it all, those of us with some years on our back are here and we want to look good. Thank you, Louis, for giving us fashion choices; I still find MUCH that I like and can wear. Plus, as an older woman, it is important to look groomed.

I recently turned 72. And, yes, I am still working full-time, but that will end in not too long. From afar, I have admired your sparkle and sophistication, Beryl, and I will be thinking of you as you celebrate your birthday throughout the month of October. Many more years to you of fashion, fun and and good health!

            ~Goldie (Maria)

            1. Beryl

Thanks for your kind words. I will treasure them. And here’s to many more years of fashion enjoyment.
              Beryl

  13. NJlady

    Louis,
Does the Aubergine short sleeve mock neck A217630 match your aubergine jacket A 259102?
    Thank You

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I no longer have the sweater so I can’t compare them. I will say the stone S/S crew looks great with it.

  14. designista

This is an off the wall question regarding the rayon/span, but since the buyers won’t go for a pant, could your hosiery manufacturer do a seamless legging or crop legging in that fabrication? The seamless leggings they produce are wonderful, but too heavy for hot weather and I have them in every color. No one expects leggings not to show lumps and bumps.

      1. designista

I wasn’t thinking cut and sew, but something seamless right off the knitting machines.

  15. Goldie76

Tra la! Tra la! Tra la!

Louis, I reneged on buying the plum moto jacket — BUT I finally bought the Animal (actually tortoise) Jacquard Zip-Front Jacket. I have had my eye on it from the start but never closed the deal. You had 3 EZPays on it, I had no moto and so I decided to get the chocolate/black, which has always been in my line of sight. Love it! By the way, I was in Lord & Taylor the other day, and the saleslady saw my goldtone Falling Leaves necklace, which I had wrapped around my neck twice. She loved it!. Compliments on Monday on that accordion pleat skirt, in black, from a few seasons back that I wore with the red WK sweater with tie at neck and rib knit at bottom. Almost every time I wear your beautiful creations, I receive a compliment. Thank you for making attractive dressing so fun and easy.

    1. queendiva

Goldie76- jumping in to say that accordion pleat style skirt is a hotter fashion item for this fall/winter than ever!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s the hot skirt of the Fall season…..I’ve seen it in a lot of metallic fabrics, which can look really tacky and cheap, but that too seems to be hot? Gucci’s line is full of them.

        1. Cela

Just did not understand or care for any of the lines this year, which seemed to be bordering on S&M to me. Hermes, as usual, the style exception.

      2. Goldie76

queendiva, how I LOVE my accordion pleat skirts! I bought the black and the tarragon and deeply regret not buying doubles. When Louis said that the skirt would not make those with heavy hips look heavier, I was skeptical. Should have known better! One of the best skirts I own. Wishing for new colors.

Louis, I don’t think I would like it in metallic, either.

  16. MadameDuFiffers

Hi Louis, I think these two posts got lost in the swirl LOL. We love that rosehips color, but would love some clarification. TIA

Doubt you’ll get to this before your show, but just in case. Another question about the pretty WK ribbed cardi, A268141. Is the rosebud a blue-based pink (with cool undertones)? Pinks are tricky on me. I like warmer pinks and can wear peony. Thanks!

    Hi Louis,

I would like to know this, too. The rosehip is gorgeous and I hope to see more in that color (especially if it’s a blue/cool pink).

Congratulations on a beautiful, successful show.

    Madame

    1. louis dell'olio

Sorry for the delay….I would have to say it is a warm pink….

      1. MadameDuFiffers

        Well, it’s a beautiful color.

I can wear the peony so I might give this color a try, but this cardigan is too short for me [picture me sobbing lol].

Will we be seeing more items in this color? Perhaps in the original swing sweater? hint hint

Looking forward to your Oct shows. Hope you and Jac are having a wonderful day.

        Madame

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Madame….this color is not coming in anything else…it really isn’t a cool pink with a lot of blue.

  17. Melissa

Hi Louis. I know you are bombarded with questions, but can you please clarify something. Do you have a long-sleeve version coming similar to A262453 or A254439? Can you tell us what colors? Thanks. 🙂

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There is a long sleeve version of A254439 coming in Nov. It is A267877, in Light raspberry [lighter than the WK raspberry, slate blue and black.

      1. Melissa

Thank you for setting me straight Louis! I love that tank, have it in charcoal and black and hope you come out with more colors next year. I look forward to getting it in a longer sleeve version. Light raspberry sounds beautiful!

  18. TexasBarb

    Dear Louis,

I swear I read every word of the sneak peek on the Zebra coat. I did not see the item number. Did you provide it? My eyes could be deceiving me these days.

I’m like everyone else and cannot wait to get one or more.

Thanks as always for your beautiful clothes and jewelry

      1. TexasBarb

Thanks, Louis. I’ll be looking for it. You never know when it will get posted between now and Oct 7.

  19. Sharon

Hello Louis, I was wondering if your y bar necklace is coming back or not in inventory yet? I put two on wait list . I was thinking wouldn’t it be cool to bling up the bar with some rhinestones or does that sound stupid. I went back and ordered 2 more of the new turtleneck tunic before they sell out like the swing sweaters did once the Linea ladies find out how great they are. Now for October are the swing sweaters and the regular turtlenecks coming?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon all of the bar necklaces in both styles are delivered. I know it’s sold out already in 3 colors…A crystal bar would be pretty…the swing and TN are for Oct, but who knows???!!.next year for the crystal bar.

  20. designista

Not sure I’m remembering correctly, but do you have a long sleeve rayon/span tunic coming in raspberry?

      1. designista

Thanks…fantastic fabric…really disappointed we didn’t get any pants or crops in that fabric as well.

          1. designista

HOG WASH! The tops and tunics aren’t revealing, and I have every one; neither are the dresses, or the long skirt that I have in three colors. For hot, humid weather there is nothing better as the rayon breathes and doesn’t wrinkle. I’m sure there would be a tunic to cover the stomach and rump anyway. Poor decision on the part of the buyers!

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

              I agree…..Hog Wash….unfortunately they hold the pen.

          2. Carol

Hogwash is right! I just bought the Halston joggers in the rayon jersey and there’s nothing revealing about them. I got them to go with all your great rayon jersey tops, Louis, because I knew you wouldn’t be selling any. Utterly ridiculous!

            1. designista

Thanks for the tip, Carol, I’ll check it out!

  21. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
I just received the TN whisper knit swing – it is perfect. Missed out last year and ordered the v -neck with cardigan also.
They will be perfect. Can this one be hung? The v-neck is looser so I am folding

Also, The boot leg pants are numerical – which is closer to a Small?
    Thank you for your help

I will write a review now

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi NJLady….NO…do not hang under any circumstances…..V-neck? I guess you mean the swing cardigan, because there is no other V-neck swing…..You pant question is a good one, and I wish I had an educated answer. I will ask my fit team. This new boot cut was styled from the slim pant A265615, which was SML, so why this pant was made numerical…is beyond me…..I’ll get back to you.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi….I got an answer already….They suggest an 8. if you like a smaller fit or if you have slim hips a 6. I would suggest you take a pair of pants you love….great if you have the new slim fit……measure the waist and hips and see which measurement of the boot cut comes closer….remember it is ponte with stretch!

      1. NJlady

Yes i was talking about V neck with buttons swing

Getting back to pants – are they similar to the super ponte pants which I loved in feel. Are they heavy like that or
        description
        Thanks

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will do a whole post, but they are not as heavy as the first super ponte, but they are the same fiber content and do feel similar.

    1. Beryl

      I do too.

    2. Goldie76

What an accurate and insightful tribute to Louis and the Linea line. Indeed, we are so fortunate to have the Linea treasures available to us.

  22. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kim….yes the Linea Body seamless leggings have been reordered. The discussion was so long ago that I don’t remember which colors were reordered. I think all with the addition of the new Dark Olive…..They should be in by the end of the month.

  23. Kim

Louis, what an amazing show! Did I overhear you say that the Linea Body Leggings have been reordered? If so, do you have a color list? These are my favorite leggings for workout. I even get compliments, and that never happens when I wear leggings! Would love black and Linea navy.

  24. bcm

    Louis,

Great show yesterday, as usual!! I am not so patiently waiting for a sneak peak in color of the much anticipated zebra coat. You know very well how you whetted our appetites, once again, by showing us your beautiful Jac in the blue/black version. Please don’t reply “in due time”. I know I speak for all my Linea Sisters when I say BRING ON THE ZEBRA COAT SNEAK PEAK NOW. Pretty please, with sugar on top! I simply can’t hold on until the beginning of October to see all colors in all their glory.

  25. Sharon

Oh Louis I had to tell you how fabulous your new whisper knit turtleneck is. It fits just like the swing sweater with the same turtlneck that on your regular turtleneck that we all love so much. I just wish there were more colors. Now I’m waiting for the blue zebra jacket.

  26. Elaine

Hello Louis, enjoyed your show yesterday, so much so that I watched again on Q-Plus later in the evening.
When you posted your sketches of the Zebra coat I thought I’d get the grey as I have your navy trench, but when I saw Jac in the blue I was sold! She looked stunning as always.
Fashion Week events are being held a few blocks south of me here in the West Village, everyone is walking around in heavy wool sweaters, suede coats and thigh-high leather boots…and it’s 83 degrees. Haha. Looking forward to some cooler weather to wear my WK’s.
Thank you and see you soon, Elaine

  27. georgiapeach

I, too, loved the show yesterday. I watched as I was packing–truly mainly Linea, but I still found time to order the new ribbed V-neck sweater in sea glass, a gorgeous color, and the Animal Jacquard Zip-Front Jacket in topaz. I was delighted to see it paired with the striped leisure top in tobacco with black stripes, as I already have this. Can’t wait to get these new additions to my wardrobe.

I also loved the reference to one of your “ladies” who was taking a river cruise in Provence. It was almost as good as talking to you, which I was on the line to do on the August 31st show, but time ran out before they could get me through. Hope to one of these days, though.

I’m leaving for France this Saturday. Will let you know how it turns out after I get back. Thank you again for making such beautiful, classic and very wearable clothes.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Have a great trip…that’s the one we are interested in first, so I really want to hear all.

  28. NJlady

    Louis,
A fabulous show as usual and we get more in a few weeks.
Will the next show have the long sleeve asymmetrical top similar to the sleeveless one?
Looking forward to more info on the ponte boot cut pants.
Thanks and looking forward to your next visit
I laughed at the suspenders -o my husband just started wearing them for same reason.
    Guess he’s in style

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NJlady…it’s scheduled for Nov. but you never know. They showed the moto a months early!

  29. Renee

    Dear Louis
I live in Cleveland Ohio and I hope to were my new sweater this weekend I have a party at one of our museum!

  30. Dolores

    Dear Louis,

Did you hear me sreaming for joy when I ordered the moto jacket ? It was ” MANDATERY ” ! ! You were wonderful yesterday. Just like the other linea
lady – I only buy your clothes. Everything else is a waste of money. I’m thrilled with the amethyst faux leather hoodie, the ivory shirt and tank, and the
lariet. My husband loved them .Please tell Jac she was great yesterday also. You will probably hear more sreaming when it arrives.

    Dolores

  31. Renee

    Dear Luis:
Just received the gray sweater with the leather trim on the sleeves and pockets it is so Beautiful!! The fit is perfect. Thank you Thank you for designing such a beautiful sweater.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Renee…so glad you like it…Don’t know what part of the country you’re from, but here in the NE…it would be very timely.

    2. Teri

I received mine too! I love that it has just a bit of shape. Looks nice. I found that the short sleeve top that goes with the skort has a perfect neckline to follow the lines of the cardigan. I will wear it that way until it is cold enough for a t-neck. I must say that I am liking my two pieces with the faux leather. It is still hot, but transitional fashion works forever here and I am loving these things.

        1. Teri

I am in Southern Oklahoma, and it is ninety three at the moment. I think your other Terri is from Texas. We like the same things. Thanks for your helpful attitude. We appreciate you.

  32. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Fabulous show! I ordered the moto jacket in black and plum and another wing collar shirt in white.

I see on the QVC website that the new super ponte pants are up for ordering. The fabric content is showing as a rayon/nylon/spandex mixture. Would you please describe the hand and weight of the fabric? Is there a texture to it or is it smooth? Also, how much stretch is there to the waistband?

    Thank you!

    Carol

  33. designista

For a good laugh, take a look at the TSV leather jacket from D&C on sale today. It doesn’t even come close to your Moto design and the price is similar to your OTO from yesterday. Great show, enjoyed every minute! My credit card….not so much…

  34. Kate

You sneak!! That new cardigan is just so pretty and totally wearable with everything from a leather skirt to jeans. And “Rosebud”? Sigh. Just the most perfect rich, English rose color.

      1. kate

Under the new black moto with a touch of frilly pink hem showing? how hot would that be?

        1. louis dell'olio

Very…..I didn’t know you didn’t wear leather…..even in bags and shoes???

          1. Kate

Just shoes because most of the time I can’t find a decent non-leather option. I love the look of your leather jackets, but it’s not right for me.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

I understand…..I’m sure you have looked at all of the Stella McCarthy shoes. She doesn’t use any leather.

    1. Joanne

Jac gave us a hint there would be items we had not seen. I saw the sweater with its style and texture prior to the show and ordered Ivory. After seeing presentation this sweater was so popular, I wanted the black sweater also. I had to go on waitlist. I just was not fast enough on my computer. I own a black beaded skirt that I think is Linea so I hope it comes through. I have to stalk.

  35. Melissa

Doubt you’ll get to this before your show, but just in case. Another question about the pretty WK ribbed cardi, A268141. Is the rosebud a blue-based pink (with cool undertones)? Pinks are tricky on me. I like warmer pinks and can wear peony. Thanks!

    1. MadameDuFiffers

      Hi Louis,

I would like to know this, too. The rosehip is gorgeous and I hope to see more in that color (especially if it’s a blue/cool pink).

Congratulations on a beautiful, successful show.

      Madame

  36. Judy Kiser

A qustion about the Whisper Knit Ribbed Cardigan,A268141.
I normally wear a medium in your sweaters, I would want to wear this buttoned, should I size up? Love the Rosebud color!

  37. Shari Hook

    Hi Louis
Quick question on the quilted jacket.
Is the Alabaster showing true color in the pictures or is it lighter, darker??

Also, going into next Spring–please bring back the aqua and lilac boho skirts.
Would LOVE to see the pristene white come back, and maybe add a yellow (not the sun yellow, but something softer.

Looking so forward to your 4pm show

      1. Shari Hook

Wonderful.!!! Already ordered. I want the black as well!
And what a great price point!!!

  38. Tanya

Louis is the green leather in the motto jacket the same color as A228554 the leather blazer? If not how would you describe the difference in this green? Than you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The tarragon and the deep spruce are very different. The tarragon is paler and more yellow. The spruce is bluer and very deep.

  39. CC

Louis thanks for the Motto sneak peak. This is a must have for this downtown girl! Black for sure. And maybe that green one too. Got to see it on –but that baby may have to come home with me. I’m thinking Christmas green motto and the right color red/burgundy sheath dress.

Louis, Will the Linea auburgine work with the green motto? I have head to toe Linea WK in auburgine and love it.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear cc…love the idea of the green motto over a red dress for the holiday…The Aubergine head to toe will look fabulous under the spruce motto!

  40. Terri Harse

    Dear Louis:

Regarding the motto jacket, would you mind clarifying the colors of the hardware for each of the jackets? I look at the picture and can’t tell. I am not trusting my computer screen! LOL!
Thank you! Looking forward to your show and will tape it as well.

    Terri

  41. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

There are terrible fires in Lake County, just north of us. Many people have been evacuated to Napa County. Please pray that the fires will be contained soon.

    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

This is terrible news….I even heard the Sequoias were in danger.

    2. Goldie76

Just saw the evening news, and the correspondent uttered what I was thinking (and so many others must have been thinking when they saw the footage), that it looked like a scene from hades. My thoughts and prayers are with the people in or near that terrible inferno. Utterly terrorizing. So sorry for all who are affected.

The Single Bar Necklace J325471 is posted on Q and available to order!

  43. luvitorleaveit

Louis my olive trench was picked up today from my post office and it’s everything and then some. I did size up and the fit is perfect, knee length on me and nice weight to it just what I was looking for and perfect for when the weather transitions. I can’t imagine this not being reordered the details inside and outside are off the hook and the material is wonderful. During the presentation I couldn’t believe the cost now that it’s home I still can’t believe the cost. It’s already hanging in my front closet for the first brisk day of fall and I’ve had a shawl for years that was gift brought from India that is a blend of olive, golden, taupe and a couple of other colors that look stunning with the trench. I also received A267874 in the moss….how flattering and beautiful is this can’t wait to wear with my knit olive leggings, and the lariat which has been my favorite worn style for many years is perfect and the box chain (my other favorite) is the only chain I buy for my fine jewelry pendants. Two favorites in one can’t beat that.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear luvitorleaveit……you sound like a very happy camper!…..music to my ears.

  44. Cela

    Dear Louis,
Know you’re busy. Just one thing. The Super Ponte boot cut has me chomping at the bit. Will this new silhouette in a pant require a change in what we pair with it on top, as compared with the Super Ponte slim legging? What new tops will look the most flattering with this new silhouette? (If you have time, thanks.) Ciao.

    1. Cela

P.S. Will it come in P and Regular? If both sizes, would you please pass on a request to the buyers that the Reg inseam be at least 33-34″, as it is in most retail?

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cela……This pant works with EVERYTHING, and I will be showing it with as much as I can. Since the Q hasn’t processed it yet I couldn’t request it for my show so I will only have my two samples to use. The Q considers 33-34 a “Tall” length. I had to argue to get the 32 for the regular’ They have very specific guide lines. I tried to get them to buy talls and petites, but it was a no go….to many $$$ to invest in one style. If it does really well and the returns are really low, and it becomes a reorder….maybe I can bring it up again, but so far I haven’t won one battle as far as that is concerned

      1. Cela

Your efforts are much appreciated, kind sir. Can’t wait to see what you have coming.

  45. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

Louis, the trench is spectacular and I’m sure there will be so few returns that it will be re-ordered (at least, that’s what I’m declaring). I would like to make a suggestion for the re-order. I saw a trench that was in a lt.khaki/chino with black buttons (like the LDO trenches). But, where the collar on our trench is black on the reverse, this one had leopard print on the reverse. I would love to see such a combination done in your quality product/fabric and attention to details. I like just an accent of animal print, and you always choose such great prints. I have the burgundy and olive trench coats. Two coats… and I live in Florida! But, I’d buy a third if you did a light tan. I feel I will get use out of the weight of this trench. Deborah

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Deborah….that was my plan….IF…it gets to the reorder stage……I was thinking a chino and black combo….and possibly either black on black or black with grey. Unfortunately, I would need so little grey material that I doubt the fabric mill would dye so little…..there are minimums on everything……the contrast would have to be a coat color….black/chino?????

      1. Grace

The black on black would be so perfect…in a longer-than-thigh length, especially.

          1. Grace

Thanks, Louis. I’d still be thrilled with a black-on-black in the same length as the new trench. I know, we sound like we’re getting greedy & spoiled with all the custom requests! But, if there was ever an opportunity to do a long trench someday, that would be wonderful. Looking forward to Monday’s show!

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Grace I’ve sketched three for next fall….let’s see if they pick one.

      2. Sheesh

Louis I vote for a Grey/Black Trim Trench!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Let’s hope it gets reordered….there are still some left in navy and wine so you never know…it will really depend on the returns.

  46. Cela

OMG Louis, the tuxedo tights on Jac were outrageous !!!! I found my MUST HAVE for the season–at least one of them, and I don’t even wear tights.

Oh, and the Zebra coat, perfection and so flattering. MUST HAVE 2.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Morning….you are so right…the tuxedo tights are outrageous. For me the tight of the season….They are very new as far as a “fancy” tight is concerned. The stripe is actually a stretch velvet, almost like a ribbon, and it goes all the way down almost to the toe so you can wear them with pumps too. They will be in the grey and black and black on black. It’s a new way to wear a black tight.Get then while you can when they become avail because they will probably not be reordered as they do not reorder fancies????

  47. Diane

I wish you would make the double-breasted trenchcoat, featured on QVC on August 29th, give or take a day or two, in Petite. Please! Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Diane….Please understand…..I present the samples to the buyers, as any company would. What the buyers decide to buy and what sizes they decide to buy them in, and that goes for petite and tall sizes is totally up to them. I have no say whether they buy in petite, so If you want more Linea petites you are asking the wrong person……it’s the buyers you should be directing your requests to. I am sorry ther is nothing I can do to bring in more petites. I used to do a complete petite collection at Anne Klein, and I know the clothes should totally be revamped for the petite customer……the length is only the start.

      1. Diane

I understand. Do you make the trenchcoat in Petite and am I able to purchase it elsewhere? Love the coat.

  48. nikki

I wanted to know which color swing turtleneck would look best with the plum motto jacket? WOuld love to get your input, i think i am getting the black and one color motto jacket possibly the plum

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear nikki….I think the ivory is the best color with the plum….but….I am bringing back the basic WK turtle neck in a Pale Lilac that looks incredible with the Plum….I will be showing it that way on Monday….coming in Oct.

      1. Anonymous

        Hi Louis,
Is the lilac T neck more like your cotton/span metallic trim T-shirt lilac, or is it closer to the mulberry color?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear A….I no longer have the tee shirt, but from what I can remember it is more like that….it is definitely not like mulberry…..It’s a very pretty pastel. Sometimes in the winter you need some pretty lighter colors. It can be worn all year long. Under the Plum, which is very deep, it just looks fresh and light.

  49. Grace

    Dear Louis,

I also fell in love the moment I saw the Zebra coat sneak-peeked. I didn’t realize there would be a few color choices. Which color or colors would you or Jac choose for her to wear?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will be sneak peeking two on Monday. For Jac I would pick either the grey or blue….she will be wearing the blue.

      1. Grace

        Thanks, Louis!

      2. luvitorleaveit

I am leaning towards the blue zebra coat so I would love to see that actually on. It’s funny today I wore my blue/black sleeveless striped dress to work today and I always get compliments.

For the ladies I frequently get emails from the Q it’s a combination of survey and tell them what you think and I make sure I do whether they act on everything may be another story but I am pleased that Louis is scheduled more regularly…..deservingly so. I’m not sure who or why certain customers receive these emails but if you do take advantage of them and let QVC know what you think.

  50. Sharon

I have to ask if the zebra coat is a lighter weight coat.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s not heavy….it’s not super light…..med. weight, but if you are worried that it’s heavy….it is not.To wear in the winter months in the north you would have to layer….but there is room.

  51. Goldie76

For what it’s worth, my opinion is that this year’s “QVC Best Coat” Oscar goes to your formidable trench coat that many of us now own (so happy that I have my olive and burgundy). It looks as though your zebra coat may win the “QVC Best Supporting Coat” Oscar. Brenda was nothing less than breathtaking in the brief glimpses we had of her yesterday, September 10.

    1. Pamela Sharp

Hi Goldie – is there a video of that zebra coat sneak peek online?

      1. Seka

        Pamela,

There’s a Sneak Peek of the Zebra Coat in Tobacco/Black in the video for WK T-Neck A72448 – on the model wearing the Clay T-Neck.

        1. Pamela in Ancorage

          Thanks so much Seka from

NaturalBornWoman on the Q Linea forum

          1. Goldie76

            Dear Pamela,

I was late to get up and online to check on what is new for Linea. Seka was her usual wonderfully helpful self and gave you the correct info on where to find beautiful Brenda in that zebra coat.

Miss you, NBW. Everything changes (I know that for myself), and so we live with what is the new normal. For Linea communications, the new normal is to hear from you every once in a while. I’ll be honest, I wondered if you were still buying from the line because I thought the zebra coat was perfection for you and wanted you to purchase it.

            My best,

            ~ Maria (a.k.a. Goldie76)

          2. Seka

Good to hear from you NBW!

  52. Seka

FYI – The Swing T-Neck A268137 and the Tiered V-Neck Sweater A268130 are posted on Q and available to order!

    1. Enjay

Already ordered my swing T-neck in black. Because seriously … how can you NOT buy that sweater!?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

you’ll be sorry you didn’t get the ivory…..wait till you see it under the grey/black Zebra coat in Oct.

        1. Feathers

Dear Louis: October for the Zebra coat? Why? They are not being fair to you or your customers. They keep showing coats in other brands. Will you at least still give us a sneak peak? Thanks.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Feathers the show is the 7th of Oct so it’s only two weeks after thee Monday show…..just in time to wear it….I have other outer wear on this Monday show……and more sneak peeks of the Zebra!!

            1. Feathers

Dear Louis: Thanks for the prompt reply. I’m one of your jacket and coat ladies.

            2. Cela

Oh Louis, don’t feel badly. You’re not the only one who can’t keep a secret. They’d probably know the entire spring 16 collection if it was up to me. LOL Good luck/Have a sellout show Monday !

        2. Grace

I ordered all colors. You cannot have just one! I’ll be wearing this sweater non-stop this winter.

        3. Sharon santourian holman

I just now ordered the Ivory and Black! Couldn’t believe they were up already!! Next is that Zebra coat!!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Order away because they have been moved to the Oct. show….don’t ask me why….I have no idea. I haven’t seen the script yet……so I have no idea what’s on this show!!!It looks like things are being moved around????

      1. Kate

Sigh. I just don’t see enough so far to fill a two hour show! Guess it’s mostly reorders? I’ll watch no matter what, but 2 hours of reorders is such a wasted opportunity. You so rarely get a two hour show. And, most of us are doing our major spending NOW, not in October.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate…..Hold on to your seat belt my darlin’…There is plenty that I haven’t sneak peeked because I didn’t know they were going to be on this show….and I have too much to do to ready ready for the show…so no time for photos, collages etc……the motto is now on the show plus MORE…you better watch or you will be missing out. My Oct show is just two weeks after this so there’s plenty more coming!!

          1. Kate

            Fair warning! Love it.

AMEX will wonder what happened to me if there isn’t a fat QVC charge this month!

            1. Sharon santourian holman

              LOL!!

    3. Melissa

Yay! I don’t know why I’m so excited, I’m in FL and it’s hot as heck here and I don’t get to wear my sweaters much. But I’m going to get the tiered one in burgundy in spite of it looking awful on the model. Thank goodness for Louis’s sneak peeks. So tempted to get one of the swing t-necks. I love the original swing sweater, have it in three colors (including black) so am leaning towards getting the ivory. Not sure…

    4. Joanne

Thanks for posting. I went in right away and already ordered my T neck swing sweater in ivory. I am not taking any chances.

I am over the moon that QVC is reordering the Linea ankle slim pants. Best pants ever purchased at QVC. I own multiples in all colors. My ivory T neck sweater will look wonderful with every color.

  53. judy

Louis, Will you be doing a faux leather and ponte legging to go with the faux leather and Milano jacket?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy………No the sketch wasn’t chosen….now after seeing all of the faux leather leggings I can see why…..but….I have a fabulous modified boot cut pant to go with the Blazers coming on Oct 7th.

  54. Chris/Jazzmom

My question got bumped off so I will ask again– will there be any engineered or placement print tops coming in October or November? Anything in wine or merlot print?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Chris….I do not have any more placement prints or any other prints coming…..To my total surprise, as beautiful as they are, they didn’t sell as well as expected and will not be reordered. It sort of turns me off to doing them again. I don’t think anyone realizes how much work goes into designing, printing, cutting and sewing these types of garments. Every time I show one to my manufacturer…..she sighs……not a good sign.

      1. Melissa

PBI, how disappointing. I’m generally not a print girl but love your placement print tops. When you sneak peeked the last bunch I couldn’t wait to get them, ordered the navy and walnut. Love!!!!!

  55. Joanne

    Louis
The Zebra coat is stunning!! Another coat I will have to order prior to your presentation.

  56. Jane J.

WOW! Louis, the zebra coat is just gorgeous. Didn’t think this would be for me, but after seeing it on Brenda…… just Wow. Looking forward to seeing your sneak peek pictures — and, of course, the real thing!

    1. Kate

He frequently makes a liar of me! I love it and I’m not into animal prints. Yet another Linea Must Have for fall 2015.

    2. Sharon Santourian Holman

I saw the sneak peaks!! OMG! I need another coat like a hole in my head, but I think I have to have it with matching T neck. Louis, do we have Clay in the new Swing TNeck? The coat looks wonderfully oversized, love the long length…..I may have just retired early, but this has got to come to ME!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon…..The swing TN comes in Black and Ivory which will work with any od the coats, but no clay or tobacco. The original swing sweater will be coming in the new Tobacco which does match the coat.

        1. Sharon santourian holman

I can definitely order that swing too. Thank you, I will be watching.

  57. Victoria1

    Louis,
I admire how you patiently work with Q hosts who are clueless about fashion! this young lady today is one of my least favorite people
To do your Shows! Where is Lisa Robertson when you need some style! I love many of the other girls with you…However Lisa set the bar high to keep the ladies competing to be excellent sellers of fashion…happens not so much now…You are the only reason I vist the Q now..Ordered both cardigans …they looked great! had to rant…☺️

  58. Seka

    Louis,

Regarding the Dennis Basso TSV Trench Coat – out of 5 colour options and 9 size options – not one colour/size option has Sold Out!

That’s all I’m going to say.

  59. Beryl

Saw the sneak peak of the zebra coat. How beautiful is that. I’m in love. Can’t wait might need two.

    1. Sharon Santourian Holman

Me too, Beryl! It’s stunning!! Only problem now is which of my 15 or so coats will be donated to make room for it? My Pea coat, cannot part with, my Ruby Boucle, nope……these are absolute classics. I better get to it and clear my closet….have gas Louis and Jac

      1. Sharon santourian holman

Hmmm, I suspect auto correct changed the last couple of words. I cannot remember what they were originally, but it wasn’t have GAS….sorry, LOL

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Tht’s funny…I had no idea what you meany, but I thought I should just leave it alone….LOL

    1. louis dell'olio

That will be great for when you come back east….does it get that cold in southern Cal.?I think it looks great over the trench!

      1. Kate

I travel a lot so shawls are a must have for me. To find an oversized one in a nice olive that will go with all your olive pieces is a total score. I wish you could bring us these kinds of accessories. Sigh.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Me too, but I would hate to do inexpensive accessories, and that shawl doesn’t look like a bargain to me. Anyway…they won’t consider me as a “full line” brand like others that are being introduced.

          1. Carol

            GRRR!

  60. Kate

FYI, the lariat is FANTASTIC! So glad I ordered in multiples as this will be a wonderful Christmas gift. Sleek, modern, minimalist, edgy, elegant. My new favorite. Off to review!

    1. louis dell'olio

You must try two together….of the same color….tied as one if you know what I mean….not separately.

      1. Carol

I would love to see a companion lariat in crystals to sparkle up the holidays–to wear alone or coupled with one of the plain.

        1. louis dell'olio

Carol I can’t believe you are saying this. I just had this discussion with my jewelry rep……..vibes?

          1. Carol

We’re soul mates, Louis! You are designing just for me you know.

      2. Yvette

I’m planning to to this with the silver and the gunmetal. Not exactly the same color, but complementary. Unfortunately, the USPS seems to have lost my gunmetal lariat and QVC is shipping another to me. That means waiting another week or so. But I have the gunmetal in my hot little hands and will wear it solo for now.

      3. WNYGal/April

        OH, yeah.

    2. Melissa

Chiming in to say I agree. Am wearing the gunmetal today. (Also got the silver.) I feel really cool today! lol I mean that in a good way, it is an edgy piece. Lovin’ it!

  61. Joanne

There is no comparison between the Basso coat and Louis’s. Louis’s is so much better!

  62. bcm

    Good morning Louis,

I see that today Dennis Basso has a TSV for a trench coat, with a removable collar and ZIP OUT LINING. And not to mention, it is also water resistant!! Your stunning coat is far better in style and fabric. But why oh why couldn’t that TSV have been your trench with all the bells and whistles instead of DB. I don’t understand the PTB. Can you explain?

    1. louis dell'olio

      I have none….
