My lovely Linea lilac turtleneck arrived today. I was somewhat uncertain about how well the color would work with someone who is brunette and not blonde or redhead. Happy to report it becomes me. I believe this lilac will work for most of your Linea Ladies and other assorted fans, no matter what their coloration. Silver foxes will be absolutely gorgeous in this shade (as you predicted), and your icy jewelry is certainly the perfect touch for this refreshing color. Thank you.

Thank you, Grace. It is lovely. Receiving the lilac yesterday, which was wet and raw (and still is somewhat) in the Northern Virginia area, I experienced an uplifting of my spirits. This lilac turtleneck should work wonders in the frigid grip of winter, shouldn’t it?
I also like the pieces you pulled together for your outfit. A “fresh” approach to the tweedy look.
Goldie, I meant to say I wore the lilac TN with the tweed jacket in violet, not raspberry! I think wearing that color will work wonders for us both over a cold, dreary winter.

I agree! When I wear Linea swing sweater, I immediately lose visually 10 lbs especially with the black Linea slim ankle pants.

I have no dates for NOV or DEC….I think they are going to be all outside hits….there isn’t that much new coming after Oct. They start their Holiday selling, and there isn’t that much apparel except for their regulars….SG, IM, LG, Liz, Cracker, D&CO etc…..but what’s coming is fine.
I see. I guess that makes sense. Sad that we won’t have a holiday apparel collection but maybe next year.
I hope you get a chance to go on and present something like your WK turtleneck or a piece of jewelry, both of which would be excellent gifts.
They won’t give airtime to the jewelry. It would be nice so more women could get to see it other than the Linea customers.

Louis finally my black quilted jacket arrived and it is as perfect as I knew it would be lightweight and great for layering without the bulk nicely done as usual. I also received the pale lilac sweater the color is beautiful and flattering and I received the funnel neck sweater in ivory luv this for the holidays and date night! Last but not least I got the burgundy vneck sweater which I am getting ready to lightly press out the wrinkles and wear today to do my errands; it is cold, damp and raining here today. Everything fits perfect!

Just had to tell you that I opened my package when I got home yesterday.
I already have 3 of the swing sweaters from last year (mulberry, olive, black). When you came out with the new colors I really debated on how many more I needed (especially since I got two of the swing cardigans too). I decided on the imperial violet and tobacco. So glad I got them! The colors are rich and gorgeous. Will be so easy to throw on with jeans and one of my new Linea necklaces and look put-together.
I also picked up the color block cardigan/shell in the currant color. Already have the alabaster/black and grey/blue. Loved them so much, didn’t want to miss out on the currant. I was hesitant about the color on me (was worried it’d be too pink), but it is beautiful.
Oh, and the lilac turtleneck is gorgeous. (I love my shades of purple!) Will look great with the plum moto jacket. My only complaint is that the sleeves are a tad short, so I will have to push them up. No biggie. I have longer arms so that’s a problem I occasionally run into.

Dear Melissa…I’m happy to hear you love everything. You shouldn’t feel guilty about ordering more swing sweaters. For me they are basics, and sweaters you will wear everyday and night for almost every or no occasion…Can you ever have too many TNs or tanks….I don’t think so….The thing is….if you wear them, and I’m sure you will….then it’s money well spent!
Well, I do live in Florida and don’t get to wear the sweaters as often as I’d like. But I still consider it money well spent. 🙂

Yes, I saw that on Vogue.com….They have pics of the complete shows from all of the designers. The fish was the best part of the collection….I especially liked the saran wrap pants on many of the models…..maybe the pant samples didn’t arrive and they improvised!!

What a shock! I checked an order on QVC. QVC has already posted up for ordering the olive and grey slim ankle pants. Someone posted under your section in the Forums the information. I checked and it is true. If you press the colors, they say waitlisted. Clearly they have rushed them. I wish they could rush more alabaster short sleeve whisper knit sweaters also.
Dear Joanne….I don’t know why they constantly post the new colors when tyhey will not be avail for months! As soon as a color is ordered they post it even thought it isn’t due for 5 months. Then women pre-order only to have them canceled, because they will only hold a wait list order for a limited time before it automatically gets canceled. This is a programming problem that has not been changed and probably will never be changed….it just frustrates everyone……the alabaster crew has not been reordered and probably will not be, because there is still inventory on the other two colors. That happens over and over. Everyone buys the one color and the wait list is huge, and the other colors sit. When this happens there is no chance of a reorder.

Any possibility you could do a whisper knit tank in Alabaster. I am on waitlist for the short sleeve sweater, but will probably never get it. From what I read there are others in my situation. I almost would prefer an alabaster whisper knit tank.

Regarding the seamless leggings A260034, is that it for colors? They are showing black, navy and walnut. I was counting on more dark grey, and I thought there was an olive coming?
Sorry to say….yes that’s it for the colors this year….you are right there was supposed to be gray coming back and the new olive……something happened in the factory with the chlorine in the water and they were all ruined…it was too late to have them remade. Unfortunately, for this manufacturer…many orders were ruined and for some big high end stores and designer lines…..Thankfully it was only the leggings which are heavier and are dyed in different baths. The tights and the new tuxedo tights were not affected and were delivered…..The Tuxedo should be on line by the show….I hope the leggings still sell so I can bring them back next year……Hopefully next year they will have the water problem solved……P.S….the legging will be featured on the 1:00pm show…..

So far I have received the trench in navy. Loooooove! The details are outstanding. Was debating between the olive and navy and by the time I placed my order the olive was gone, so my decision was made for me. Hope it comes back in maybe an olive/khaki combo?
Got the moto jacket in plum. Oh my goodness…gorgeous!!! The leather is like butter and the color is so rich. Can’t wait to wear it. Because it is a combination of knit and leather, I’m assuming we can’t clean it?
The v-neck tiered sweater in burgundy/rosehip was a nice surprise. I like the saddle shoulder and the nice long sleeves. So comfy.
Got the single bar necklace in 3 colors. Considering going on waitlist for the gold. Very cool…

Well, I’m not sure what I meant so just disregard that question. I didn’t notice any cleaning instructions, but I didn’t look for them either. I guess what I was getting at is when I wear my all leather jacket, I never really clean it, just wipe it off if I get something on it. With the knit/leather one, I just need to be more careful and just spot clean it if I get something on the sleeves…
Kind of silly question now that I think about it, sorry!
I think spot clean is the best bet….Probably the sleeve is the most vulnerable….so be careful….it’a a good thing the colors are dark…LOL
Certain people call me “messy missy”, with good reason. Whenever I wear white, I no doubt will get something on it. So yes, good thing the moto is a dark color! 🙂

Hi Louis. Hope all is well with you and all of the girls. I remember you mentioning that QVC is reordering more of the ponte knit slim ankle pants (A265615). Do you know if they will be in by the Oct show? Are they going to be the only slim or legging pants for the winter? I have been hoping you would make a dark brown skinny or slim pant for this winter. Am I out of luck? Will there be a reoder for the Trench Coat? I received my size 6 with threads on the front seam coming out? I finally have all of the colors of the wing blouses and three in white. Thank you as always, for being my personal shopper. By the way, the new colors of the wk turtlenecks are beautiful. I’m ordering 1 or 2 more of each. I’ll have a front row seat for the October shows. Dear Mimi…it takes 5to6 months for a reorder to come back. The slim pant will be in April at the earliest. I do not have any brown for this fall other than the reorder of the walnut Linea Body Legging which just got back into inventory. It’s too early to know if the trench will be reordered….it takes 3 months to see the return results . We’re the treads loose? That you could pull out??….glad to hear you like the TN colors.
Thanks. The threads were not loose. I tried to pull them out thinking they were extra but they kept on coming out of the seam. I was soooo disappointed. The coat was phenomenal and the olive color, perfect. I really loved that coat. I even thought I would try to fix it but…. Thanks again

I’m planning on grabbing the Blue Zebra as soon as it’s listed. I know you’ve talked about size so sorry for asking,, but I’m new to your brand. So, maybe you can help me with sizing. I just received the gorgeous trench in size 12 and I am in LOVE fits great!! I have a whisper knit cardigan in small and an animal print blazer in medium if that helps give you an idea of my sizing . I’m 5ft 2 and about 130 pounds.. What size in the zebra coat would you recommend?

Dear ChicShopper….if you were a 12 in the trench and was happy with the fit, then it would make sense to me that you would be a med. in the zebra coat, but always compare the shoulder measurements. The trench had princess seams so it was a little more shaped than the Zebra, but the fit in the shoulder is where it will count most. If any of the other Ladies would like to voice their opinions….all opinions are welcome.

I would ABSOLUTELY pair them with this jacket. A black pencil skirt the gray and black tuxedo and a killer pump or shoe boot is how I’m showing one of the grey jackets. I’m not sure if it’s the exact same faux leather because two different factories made them, But the faux leather on the blazer is beautiful and the lining gives the sleeve more body and shape.BTW these tuxedo tights are killer sexy….even the grip girls on the set at QVC want them…..get DOUBLES!

Dear NYlady….the charcoal Grey heather boot cut pant will blend with the WK swing cardigan, the WK tank, the WK long sleeve V-neck, and the A72448 Turtle neck. There is also a Blazer in the same ponte fabic as the pant and it works very well with the Zebra coat….it is also a great color to mix with everything else….Whatever you can wear with black you can wear with charcoal grey and sometimes even more.

I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful trench coat. You probably didn’t realize this, but it makes a perfect cover-up for eclipse viewing. I was sitting in bed in my pajamas last night reading, when I suddenly remembered that the eclipse of the moon was about to begin. I rushed outside, grabbing my navy trench on the way to cover up my pjs. The red moon was just beginning and it was spectacular. None of the cars passing by my yard realized that the lady stumbling around in the dark with her binoculars was wearing pjs. She looked so fashionable!
Your story is very Steven Speilberg……I missed it. I was in PA and it was cloudy…Jac saw it in Ct.
I ducked out of my house six times and was able to see the spectacle unshrouded by clouds a total of three times. Each time it was clear for my viewing, I’d text my sons to go look. Although one lives but 15 minutes away and the other 20 minutes away, neither one got to see the unusual sight because of a heavy cloud covering. There is something about space and astronomical rarities that captures my fancy. When Comet Hale-Bopp came through and I knew I’d never see it again in my lifetime, I went out every possible night to look at it. Since I was staring at the heavens for over a year, I let neighbors know what I was up to.
I’m not absolutely certain it was the Hale-Bopp (in fact, I think it had some difficult surnames that named it but I don’t recall it). I do recall that it was visible to the naked eye for a sustained period of time, and I wasn’t about to let the opportunity of seeing it go by without taking it in.
Goldie, I remember the Hale-Bopp comet. It was so beautiful and strange at the same time. I looked at it every chance I could, particularly on the nights when it was clear. It made me aware of how vast the universe is and how some greater power created it all. How about the recent finding of water on Mars? We humans with all our brain power and science and technology and imagination can only scratch the surface of the wonders around us and beyond.

Julia, you got at the heart of the matter when you wrote “the wonders around us and beyond.” So true. When I behold how great the universe is, I find it mystifying and beyond comprehension. When one thinks about the miracle of creating life, that, too, is overwhelming when one thinks of all the “parts” and chains of events that must come together and occur in a precise manner. There was one other comet before or after Hale-Bopp, and it was not going to reappear again in my lifetime. The name was complex, to some degree. Something like “Ruffendofer-Dufarensky.” (I made up a ridiculous-sounding name, but it was one not easily remembered. If someone recalls its name, please write back.) Acutely feeling the vastness of time (and its mystery), I watch these one-time celestial events every moment possible. My first husband wrote something very intriguing after interviewing two astronauts (both European) who had gone up on the “Challenger.” There was some conversation about becoming younger if you can go faster than the speed of light. Ladies, there is the answer to perpetual youth!
It goes without saying, but not wanting to confuse anyone, I want to make it clear that the “Challenger” mission the two astronauts were on occurred several years before the unfortunate disaster.
Just correcting myself — one astronaut was American (John Fabian) and the other was Dutch (Wubbo Ockels). The symposium where the interview took place was in Athens.

As I have written previously I love the ankle slim pants that QVC has decided to reorder. Initially you did not think they would reorder. It forced me to buy a few more pants in all colors. I hope these pants become an essential in your offerings. They fit like a dream, work either for dressy, professional or casual due to the wonderful fabric.
Dear Joanne….if the sales are strong and the returns are low enough they will reorder. I have to say the returns were border line, but the reviews were many and mostly very good….that was the deciding factor….so reviews are important.

inally — I Met Another Linea Lady, Face to Face, at Church
Louis, today after church I went to our social hall. Before getting my coffee and pastry, I stopped in the church bookstore. As I went to pay for my items, I almost gasped when I looked at the wonderful woman who had volunteered to manage the bookstore today. She was wearing the lilac jacket that has pearl buttons from several seasons ago. I believe you had it in black and a white or ivory, too. Many times, it has been on clearance, but is now gone. Anyway, I sputtered, “Louis Dell’Olio while pointing at her jacket. She smiled and responded yes. This woman is a physician in her professional life and is about late 50s to early 60s. Plus, she is one one of kindest, gentlest beings in our parish. What a lovely Linea Lady she is. (Once before, I saw a woman in your cotton blue and white capri pants from last summer that “crdb” likes so much. That lady was my first Linea Lady; I saw her as I drove out of my local strip mall.)

I am seeking your expert opinion. I have a wedding in Sonoma, CA in mid-October. The invitation states dress is “California casual”. The bride is Indian and the groom is Irish. I am not sure if the bride will be dressed in red and guests in bright colors, as is customary. I am considering the flag blue textured skirt and cap sleeve top for my attire. The weather should be warm during the day, but will cool off at night. What would you recommend as a layering piece for a little warmth?
A237402 is the open front cardigan. I think this would work well with the two piece dress because there are no buttons to clash with any jewelry you might want to wear. You can push the sleeve up and wear bangles…..dress it up with the nuggets necklace in silver or gold, and the Demi hoop in silver or the bolder hoop in silver.
Black and Lapis are left in my size. I am assuming black, right?

No….they are a solid gray. That fabric can not be done in a heather. It’s a piece dye fabric.
Thanks, Louis, that’s good news! Great colors and I’ll be getting both. So surprised the skirt has weak sales. I thought it was a big hit, judging from comments on the forum. I know I love it as a 4-season skirt that can be worn casually or even dressed up a bit & I have multiples of both the black & navy. I’ve been wearing it a lot recently–it’s the perfect transition piece. If they’d just try it, they’d like it!
I meant to add…I was so hoping for the LL boot skirt in white. Bummer.
I also have multiples of this skirt because I love and wear it so much. Sad that there won’t be more colors.
Louis will any of these grey sweaters go with the color block cardigan? I really like the blue grey combo but I would like a grey to match. I know it’s to hard to match the blues so grey is the answer.
The best match is the short sleeve crew neck that matches……the heather grey….not so much.

Dear Chicshopper…..the color was Aubergine and they are sold out. Do you have the Aubergine skirt in the Whisper Knit…if not you can take the belt of the coat to a store and look for a close color…….Bloomindales, Nordstrom , Macy’s and Target all carry color tights…Hue usually has good up to date colors.

Dear Brigid…My show is at 1:00 pm…and they will probably post the coat at midnight which is 9:00 pm your time. They won’t put the coat on the 6am show…..so there’s no need to get up at 3 unless you want to see the 6 am show.

Was reading the Reviews for the new Ponte Pants A268216 – one Linea Lady purchased 5 Black pairs – and 1 Grey – and gave them a 5 Star rating!
Have ordered the Black Pants – and will wait to see the Sneak Peek of the Jacket – might want to get the Grey Pants & Jacket as a suit option.
Hi, Louis. I received my ponte pants today. The are terrific and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they get reordered because I’m going to have to return mine. I’v lost some weight so I went down a size in my order, but apparently I went down 2 sizes. I rushed to order the size I need, but it is sold out in both colors. It’s a bummer that these new ponte pants were in processing for days before shipping so that I didn’t have time to order another. I will continue to stalk them. I agree with Jane J. that these remind me of my favorite Roma Ponte pants. I just unpacked my Roma Ponte “Audrey Hepburn” jackets this weekend. I’m so ready for it to get cool enough to wear those.
BTW, I am absolutely crazy about my moto jacket in plum. I love what you called the “blackened colors”. Those colors have always been a big part of my wardrobe. They’re so versatile in building outfits – definitive enough to be a “smile” of color, but not so bold that they command the ensemble, LOL.
Hi Louis, Just received the new pull-on ponte pants A268216. As soon as I opened the package, I thought, these remind me so much of the wonderful Roma Ponte pants, A210350, that you did 5 years ago. I pulled the Roma Ponte trouser pants from the closet and, sure enough, very similar, the new ones maybe just slightly lighter in weight. Anyway, love the darker charcoal color, the length is perfect [I’m 5’9″], they have a wonderful silky feel and they fit!! I have to be honest — I rarely can wear any of your pull-on pants — the back rise is always too short — but these fit beautifully and comfortably. I got both the charcoal and black and may go back for seconds! Looking forward to the matching jacket. Thank you for the fine clothes you design for us.
LOUIS!!! O M G, I just took my black leather MOTO!! Hello! Screaming from the roof top, I am size 16, wanted the plum, but ordered black. The leather is like lamb skin, how were you ever able to get that for us? It’s dreamy soft and supple. Second, the fit is so beautiful, I knew it would be flattering on my chubby self if you designed it, I look really good. I even tried it on with WK swing TNeck, it’s perfect, especially shoulder fit!
Lastly, the hardware…..now I’m a car fanatic, I like fine quality stainless pieces on my cars. Your hardware is very shiny and sturdy, has an elegant look to it. Quality, the car part comparison tells you how picky I am. :).
I’ m glad I waited to buy just the right Moto, it’s a real winner! Matches my new 2016 Mustang GT 435 hp, oh yeah I will be styling!

They are both wonderful additions to my fall, winter, spring wardrobe. To your other fans for their information, both sweaters run true to size.
Also Louis, I am the Joanne that alerted you yesterday that your Turtleneck swing sweater was listed among the products slated to be shown on PM Style last night. I was not mistaken it was listed on the website, but not shown on the show. Clearly they used your wonderful sweater as a lure to watch the show.

Good Morning Louis! I’m confused. Is the WK turtleneck, A72448, in the new heather charcoal grey the one that QVC is calling Charcoal Grey, or is that last year’s Charcoal that I already have? There is no new color swatch for the heather grey, and I don’t believe last year’s charcoal sold out. The WK V-neck in the new heather is also being called Charcoal Grey. No problem there since there hasn’t been a charcoal in that sweater before.
I asked them the same question but haven’t received an answer.

I didn’t think it was possible for you to top the amazing trench coat this season. But I was wrong. I just received the moto leather jackets. I couldn’t decide on a color, so I ordered all three. They are the most amazing moto jackets that I’ve ever worn. I’m heading over to QVC to leave a 5-star review. However, I wanted to take a moment and say “thank you” for bringing us these incredible jackets. They have claimed a spot amongst my most treasured LDO pieces.
