    Dear Louis,
Happy New Year! I am hoping that you will offer A217976, your wonderful quilted jacket again. It is perfect for the cooler California weather and looks superbly snazzy on. This jacket would also be fabulous with a hood. Thanks again for your expertise and stylish designs.
    Best wishes,
    LoveLinea

I just picked up the newly clearances cowl neck in blue. Debating going back for grey or prune. I am debating trying it as a layering piece under one of the swing sweaters. I think it might go well with this year’s violet or the staple black.

I also decided to grab a couple of pairs of tobacco tights. i have decided the color is a good match to a pair of my mixed browns loafers and will be a nice pop of color under my denim skirts.

    Louis,
The new hoodie just arrived and it is fabulous. Even dear husband was wowed. What a fantastic fabric and the design impeccable. I will leave a review on the Q site but for some reason I’m always shown as Anonymous.

  4. NJlady

Louis, Don’t know if u saw my answer
A 263353 is the peacock top. Will it go with the new pants?

    1. louis dell'olio

I checked and the midnight blue is darker than any of the blues at the bottom of the print…..that said the M.B. is compatible with the print and could be worn with it….HOWEVER the blues do not match

  5. luvitorleaveit

Hi Louis I see that A268216 the new ponte knit pants now show taupe but no color swatch is available can you describe how the taupe color looks. Also I received my two WK calf length skirts in the nutmeg to go with my open front cardigan in the same color and the petrol blue skirt is beautiful as well so naturally I had to go and order the open front cardigan in the same color. I will be taking both skirts to my tailor to shorten. Delivery has been at a snail pace since your last visit I hope to receive the chestnut/fushia jacket, chestnut pants and fushia top as well as the lemon jacket this week.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear luvitorleaveit….taupe is an impossible color to describe. I will say it coordinates with the new zip front taupe hoodie very well, so if you look at that sneak peek you’ll get a good idea……I am sure deliveries are so due to the holidays. Jac new received something she ordered for me before Christmas [from another company]. They are all behind, but things should be showing up soon..

      1. luvitorleaveit

Thanks Louis I know taupe is very hard to describe I realized after I typed but when I saw the taupe hoodie which I will probably wind up getting as well I thought it may be close to what I pictured it to be. Thanks for taking the time.

  6. Ruth

    Dear Louis,
I received your A260034 Seamless Leggings in Navy and I’m very pleased. I’m wondering if you could tell me if they are fabricated with a front and back to their shaping. I don’t see a label or anything else that would indicate front from back yet they do seem to fit one way better than the other. My derriere is still larger than my tummy and shaping to accommodate could make a difference in their comfort.
Thank you for all your beautiful clothes. I really appreciate your wonderful designs, excellent fit and quality construction.
    Best regards,
    Ruth

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Ruth, I do not believe there is a back or front…..both are the same..

      1. Ruth

        Thank you!
I hope to see you tomorrow on QVC Plus. I haven’t done that yet, but I’m going to give it a try.
        Best,
        Ruth

  7. NJlady

    Hi,
Love the picture of you and Jac. Happy New Year.
Can you tell me if the new measure slim pant in midnite blue matches the peacock top?
Also in the capris I am a Small – lots of stretch. Do these have lots of stretch.
Stay with regular size or size up?

    Thanks

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear NJLady……I don’t know what “peacock” top you are referring to. I need an A number. However I don’t think I would name a color peacock if it was anywhere near the midnight blue……so without knowing what peacock top you are talking about I would guess no. If you want to know if they will work together I would still need the A number. If your Capri pants are the same fabric the 92% cotton and 8% span, then yes they have the same stretch. The new slim pant has a lot of stretch.

      1. NJlady

        Hi,
Its the 3/4 sleeve hi low hem A 263353 . Love the peacock top and the flame also.
I wear with your navy capris but would like a long pant.
Know it has lots of blues in it

  8. designista

The new hoodies arrived, and perfect timing for us finally getting down to the 60’s. These are the best yet! The collar band detail that acts like a stand and frames the face is true designer; love your attention to detail and the new fabric. I ordered the Taupe and Lemon. Will the new LL taupe pants work with the taupe hoodie? I’m not sure I would have called this color taupe, it is such a beautiful complex color.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear designista……YES they work quite well together even though they are totally different fibers and the pant is solid while the jacket is a heather. Sometimes miracles do happen…….Please don’t forget to leave your two reviews on the Linea site and the Linea forum……thanks

  9. Joanne

Louis in my previous “Ask Louis” I used the wrong QVC item number. The jacket I love is A230025).

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That is the one I thought you meant!

  10. Joanne

Happy New Year Louis! Your photo with Jac is lovely.
I just love your A267864 Linea Animal Jacquard Zip Front Jacket as does everyone else. I know everyone tells you how flattering this jacket is. I currently own this jacket in topaz, gray and olive. After seeing your jacket on me in gray, both sisters and sister-in-law ordered this jacket in their favorite color. All said perfect work jacket with black pants. I was wondering if you have any plans for offering this wonderful style of jacket (of course same fabric) in another pattern.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne, Happy New Year to you……I have no plans to repeat the jacket. I actually did the jacket in solid colors which is avail on the Linea site. I haven’t found a fabric I like as much as the existing jacket.

  11. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Louis, are there any plans for any new Rosegold pieces in the jewelry line in 2016? Hubby gave me beautiful rosegold/platinum and diamond earrings for Christmas and I just received J270046 – your fabulous cuff watch in Rosegold which I quickly ordered to go with. A gorgeous piece. Would love to see the falling leaf necklace, or the single bar necklace, or any of the more simply sleek designed necklaces in rosegold.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy……as of now Imhave no plans for anything in rose gold.

  12. debby

Happy New year! I have A258619 (long sleeve heather v neck cardigan) in grey and clay -matched them up with your necklaces and they look Fab! Will this sweater be coming back in other colors? If not what necklaces would you use with the green -would buy that one also!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think that style number is a Susan Graver top. If you are referring to the faux Shetland….I would show anything in Gunmetal or silver…the Falling Leaves, or the single bar necklace , the lariat would all look good with the cardigan.

      1. debby

Sorry for the confusion -I was referring to the boyfriend faux Shetland sweater in green – you prefer gunmetal or silver for the green? Any new colors coming out? love it!!!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, either silver or Gunmetal look good with the green…..gold does too, but the others are more subtle. They have not reordered this style. For some reason the v-neck pull over did better than the cardigan even thought they are similar bodies.

  13. TrishM

    Hi Louis! Happy New Year!
I am wearing one of my vintage Linea pieces…It’s lightweight poly/rayon knit (of course no pilling as of yet, and it’s been washed and worn alot)…it’s a tunic length with long sleeves gathered at the wrist and a peasant neck (but no tie, just gathers)..but the genius is the waist, there is elastic tucking/gathering stitched(almost 2 inches wide), but only in the front and back – the stitching stops about 2 inches from the side seams both front and back. The result is a nice gather and flow without it sticking out on the sides or collapsing into my waist (what’s left of it anyway). I have never seen this waist detail before or since and I love this top and it’s so flattering. Thank you!! Trish

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Trish…I remember it well. I’m happy to hear you’re still enjoying it.

  14. KathleenAlice

    Hi Louis,

I wondered if you would be offering a red or burgundy in the whisper knit turtleneck in 2016. I have worn my red one constantly during the holiday season and would love a duplicate so I have a backup. Your clothes are beautiful and I find as I am cleaning my closet that there is more and more Linea that I am keeping because I love them so much. Thank-you for all you do.
    Kathleen Alice

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear KathleenAlice….a lovely Irish name…..Yes, I will have a whisper knit turtleneck A72448, in Scarlet Red.

  15. Writer with Flair

What a great picture of you and Jac. You both look fabulous! All the best to you and the girls in the coming year.

  16. Chris/Jazzmom

I know its early to request but if there is a reorder for 2017 on the Leisure pull on pants w pockets (coming in 2016 in new colors taupe and gray) could the chestnut or walnut brown color be added to the roster? Thank you.

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. louis dell'olio

I will keep it in mind

  17. Chris S,

    Good Morning,
I love the fall and winter Linea outerwear pieces which I own. As I look forward to the spring, I’m wondering if there are any outerwear pieces coming this spring, especially something a little longer to cover tunic length tops. I have the trench, but I was thinking more on the order of the anorak, but a little longer.
    Happy New Year!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Chris….no outerwear was chosen for spring.

      1. Chris S,

Thank you. I just ordered the charcoal anorak. I’ve been looking at it a long time and decided that today was the day!

  18. Betsy

Where can I find A278128 fish scale necklace?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Betsy …..it’s J not A……J278128…..and it’s avail on the Linea jewelry site.

      1. Betsy

Sorry about the wrong letter. What is the web address for the Linea jewelry site?
        Thank you for your help!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

The fish pendant is on QVC .com. Just type the style number in the search box.

          1. Betsy

Thank you. I did, but shows out of stock.

            1. louis dell'olio

I didn’t realize it was sold out. I guess it sold out over Christmas.

            2. Shari

              Betsy.
I know the single fish is sold out, but for an option, try J321801.
This one is a great necklace as well.
              Hope this helps.
As Louis said, just go to QVC.com and type the number in the search bar.

  19. Chris/Jazzmom

I asked this under the chestnut/fuchsia jacket, T Neck and pants section, but you might not have seen it.

Remember the fuchsia WK peasant type top? (A237410) Do you still own that sample color? Do the fuchsias match or work together with this new jacket? Thanks in advance for your response.

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Chris….I will have to look…..they may be in a box.

      1. Cela

How will the Raspberry Pea coat look over the chestnut-fuchsia jacket. The pea coat is on sale, in all colors.

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear Cela….first let me say one is fuchsia and one is raspberry, so the colors do not match. That said, if the weather demands you need a jacket to wear over the chestnut and fuchsia jacket the raspberry looks good. It all sort of works even though they are different. The chestnut does look very good with the raspberry. The pea jacket is a terrific jacket, and has a wonderful shape and great details. It’s worth every penny and more. Except for the difference in fabric I would put it on par with a Burberry.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris….I did manage to find the sample of the fuchsia. It is brighter than thee fuchsia in the jacket, but I think they are compatible. At least they are in the same family.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

Woo hoo!! Thank you!! Happy New Year!!
I keep forgetting to ask but what roses did you purchase for in front of your new PVC fence in your garden?

        Regards to you and Jac,
        Chris

        1. louis dell'olio

The fence is wood and I don’t remember the name of the red climbing roses.

  20. Mimi

Good morning. I hope you had an easy ride home, yesterday. I’m glad you had a great Christmas and everyone is well. I ordered 3 pairs of the new slim pant, 4 more pairs (total 10) of the seamless leggings, size A before they are gone. The new turtleneck and more of your older items. On the QVC blog, a women asked, what tunic Angela was wearing while modeling the new slim pant? You said it was a tunic but I think it was your Kate shirt. Am I correct? If it is a tunic, I would love to order it. If I remember correctly, you said that A265615 slim pant will be back in March? As always, I hope you, Jac and the girls and you entire family have very Happy and Healthy New Year. The next year should bring you Health, Happiness and whatever your heart desires. You deserve it. You are a sweet, giving person with a good soul. Thank you.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Mimi, Angela wasn’t wearing the Kate shirt which is much shorter than the tunic she was wearing. The style number is A268129. It is a wing collar tunic button front shirt with French cuffs and comes with cuff links. It came in Ivory, what Angela was wearing, red and blue.

      1. Mimi

I just looked at the video and realized I was wrong. As I was writing to you, I saw your response. Thank you. Will email the woman top it was.

  21. Natalie

Hello Louis, I would like to have my signature necklace replated. I’ve worn it and enjoyed it so much this year and in no way do I feel this is a defect, simply regular use (I like my perfume & I live in the South). Can you tell me if I could send it in and where. I’m happy to pay and will make arrangements. Happy New Year (almost)! Thank you!

    1. louis dell'olio

      Dear Natalie…….send the necklace to:
      Repairs Department
      C/O TCJC LLC
      3B Industrial Drive
      Smithfield, RI 02917

Enclose a brief letter stating you are a QVC customer, what the repair is and your return address. Also enclose a check for $7.50 for return postage. Let me know how it turns out. Plating will take more time.

      1. Natalie

Thanks so much Louis, will do. Excited to see what you have for us in 2016!

  22. namealreadytake

Perhaps this is not the appropriate venue to ask this question, but I would love to know what color you have painted your fireplace room. My fire room looks very similar and I love the rich depth to the darker color with what appears to be lemon or mustard slipcovers or upholstery.

    1. louis dell'olio

Nothing is inappropriate here. The room with the desk is a dark forest green velvet the “gathering room” or den is a pale green with a touch of yellow. It is tonal with the couches and arm chairs.

    2. namealreadytake

Thank you very much. I am as smitten with your decor as your apparel. Thank you for all you do to keep the QVC fashion market updated and yet classic.

  23. Rochelle

    Louis,

I watched your 1 pm show today, and the QVC Plus rebroadcast. The new leisure cotton turtleneck looks more like a mockneck. Am I missing the fold in the neck? I can’t tell. Could you please advise if this neck is a true fold-over turtle or a truncated one? I find mocknecks are often less flattering on me; very hit-or-miss.

    Thank you.

    1. louis dell'olio

The construction is not a fold over TN, so it is more of a mock….It is 2 1/2 high so it’s not short.

      1. Rochelle

Doe this mean it comes up higher than the usual mocknecks? Does it start higher, as well more like the turtles? I find many mockneck seams start at my collarbone, which is too low.

        Thank you again.

        1. louis dell'olio

Rochelle that lower collar line is a design decision. I personally do not like the lowered neckline. This necklace sits higher like a normal TN. As for the height a TN can be anywhere from 2 1/2″ to 3″ which is considered a high TN.Even though this is not a fold over TN I would not call this a mock height.

          1. Rochelle

Thank you. It is on my post-moving expenses clothing list.

  24. Cela

    Dearest Louis,
Just ordered all the T shirts, and leggings. The jacket in Fog was m favorite, but I know I’ll get the brown one, too. Only one thing more I’d love…a funnel neck top in either WK or LL to go under all the open cardigans I have. It lengthens my short waist and looks so good with the cardigans.

P.S. Thank you for the reversible fur coat, I am coming back for a second color–all black, it’s keeping me so warm this winter. The collar is outrageous !!!! Love you Louis. You’re the best !!!!

  25. Barbara C

New hoodie??? Did I miss a sneak peek?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Didn’t you see the one in lemon, Turquoise, tangerine, Taupe and blue? If not go to the “older” sneak peeks.

      1. Barbara C

I apologize. Guess I was just so busy during Christmas that I missed that one. It looks lovely.

        1. Kate

I think he meant to type “older” sneak peeks!

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

You’re right Kate. I must remember to read my comments again before posting!

            1. Barbara C

I thought (hoping) it was a typo, but couldn’t figure out that loser was supposed to be older! Thanks Kate and Louis!

  26. Shari

    Louis,
Could you give the “A” number for the pants shown with the new yellow hoodie?
I am making my list for Monday.
I will be ordering the yellow and that lighter “grey” color along with the pants and more.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Shari…..The pant is the navy Linea Leisure A262070 regular, orthe A262072 petite. However, they are sold out as of now, but they are due in this Jan. so they should be avail within the next two weeks. If you don’t own them yet I would suggest going on wait list so when they arrive they will be shipped right out to you. The top is the matching Linea Leisure tank, A262066 in the matching navy.

      1. Shari

        Thank you Louis
        Great suggestion.
        I’ll take it

      2. Rochelle

        Petites? Yay!

  27. Rochelle

    Dear Louis,

Am I recalling correctly that you stated the WK pencil skirts will be back in new colors? If so, can you disclose new colors?

    1. louis dell'olio

Yes. I gave them a list to pick from, but the heather charcoal will be one.

      1. Goldie76

Doing cartwheels of joy at 12:07 a.m. That heather charcoal will be a beauty, and everyone will want it.

        1. Cela

          Goldie,
Can you imagine the heather charcoal skirt, with whatever charcoal WK sweater, and the reversible black faux fur over all ?! TDF ! We’d have to ask Louis about the jewelry.

          1. Goldie76

I did not purchase that reversible black faux fur, but I agree the look would be sooo sophisticated, Cela. A coordinated heather charcoal look will be dynamite — truly cool and elegant. We are very lucky Linea Ladies to have this skirt on the horizon. For some reason, I never suspected that shade as an option.

            1. Anonymous

              A classic we’ll own forever.

  28. Cela

    Louis,

Your gorgeous colorblocked LL jackets are on line already ! Can’t wait for all the Teeeee Shirts !!!!!!!!

  29. luvitorleaveit

Hi Louis I so wish that QVC would incorporate a jewelry show since there are no videos that focus on your beautiful jewelry and it’s packaged so beautiful too. Then have the fashions afterwards of course.

    1. louis dell'olio

Me too….it would be fun to focus on just the jewelry and have a chance to really talk about it, and the reasons I did the pieces……but alas that’s not going to happen.

  30. Linda in AZ

    Hello Louis,
I want to wish you and Jac a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with blessings. We are having a bit of cooler weather here in AZ, which is giving me a chance to wear the lovely tweed, herringbone and jewel tone pieces that I bought a couple of years ago. The ruby/white herringbone jacket and skirt has garnered more compliments from friends and strangers. A number of young women have stopped me to comment on the quality and beauty of the clothing. Just wanted you to know. Thank you for keeping this 66 year old stylish and on-trend.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Linda….it may be cooler in AZ. Then it is in Ct……we are expecting 70 degree weather on Christmas Day! Am so happy to hear you are enjoying your red tweeds I loved them and they are more in style now then when I first presented them. Dolce & Gabanna, and Prada all did herringbone tweeds this past fall.

  31. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis and Jac,

As Christmas nears, I have been reflecting on some of my favorite “gifts.” Surely, all of the beautiful Linea fashions and accessories you have created for us fall into that category for me. But there is so much more that I, and all the other Linea Ladies out there, have received in the total “Linea Experience.”

How wonderful that you have asked for our input and then created things that incorporated what we, your customers, requested. You have never been too busy to check if this color would go with that color or to suggest ways of putting things together that are so fresh and creative (and that obviously took some time and thought on your part to think of). I honestly do not know any other designer who does that. You are one in a million, Louis!

The addition of the Hunter Green color in the Whisper Knits was wonderful. I actually got two of the scarves because I bought so many of the items in that color. I didn’t want to wear out my one scarf, so having two seemed like a good idea. I did the same with the black WK shawl as well.

All the items in my favorite Perfectly Pink color and those great “swing” shaped items made me one happy customer. And who could forget the WK pants and skirts? Absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!

I know it must not be easy to balance your creative genius (and desire to give your Linea Ladies what they want) with the business constraints of the Q. Somehow, you triumph and make it all work out.

I also am so appreciative, Jac, for your grace and elegance and your support of Louis both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. You professional modeling raises the bar for all the other QVC models when you are in the presentation. I know Louis often has spoken of how you provide valuable input into the design process and giving feedback on fit and fabrics. And, let us not forget your culinary contributions. I remember the picture in Louis’ blog of that wonderful salad you made for him with the hearts of palm. A world class model, an arbiter of taste and style, a gourmet chef, a trusted advisor and muse, and a gracious and sweet lady! What a blessing that you and Louis found each other.!

And I don’t want to forget acknowledging all the exceptional Linea Ladies out there. Your style, questions, and suggestions have given me so many great ideas. I have learned so much from all of you.

The entire “Linea Family” of Louis, Jac, and all you Linea Ladies have enriched my life. I am truly grateful for the “gift” of all of you this Christmas. May God bless you all now and in the coming year.

    All the best,
    Writer with Flair

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Writer with Flair…..your note is a wonderful Christmas present for both Jac and myself, and I will make sure she gets to read it……Merry Christmas to you and your family……………much Love…………..Louis

      1. Goldie76

Since I’m “on the communication line” at the moment, I’d like to add that “Writer with a Flair” revealed her talent by capturing all aspects of your (and Jac’s) value to the Linea Ladies and the Linea line. She also expressed the Ladies’ sentiments beautifully. All the best to you, Louis; Jac; and the Linea Ladies this holiday season!

        1. Sharon Santourian Holman

Agree! Writer, you were able to capture all our sentiments for Louis and Jac. We love you and wish you the much health and happiness!

        2. Merrylass

Agree with the lovely sentiments (and the equally lovely phrasing – a true gift with words). My thanks to Louis for his designs, to Jac for her gracious input, and to all the Linea ladies for sharing their ideas and passion. May we all have a wonderful, safe and joyous New Year.

  32. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

Your “Hammered Button Earrings” (J284037) are one of QVC’s Lunchtime Specials today, 12/23. I bought all three options again (Blue, Green, Red) because I love them so much and never want to be without them. If I lose one, I will have a backup. They are absolutely gorgeous!

    1. louis dell'olio

That’s a great idea….You don’t know how many times customers have asked about speciak buttons they have lost….which can’t be replaced.

    2. Writer with Flair

      Dear Goldie76,
I also got some of the earrings in each color. Thanks so much for the heads up and for your kind words.

  33. Sharon Santourian Holman

Thank you so much for the very high quality Linea gift box, tissue and silver elastic for the WK scarf on sale! I was so delighted to see it and it’s not JUST A CARDBOARD BOX, it’s heavy laminated stock! Great presentation and so thoughtful!!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon…..I picked the quality, and designed the box with the thought that this is something I would like to get and give, so I appreciate that you like it too.

  34. new york karan

Sapphire blue was listed on one sight as a neutral. Is it this because there isn’t green or purple in it? Would it be considerate a true blue. You wrote that accent colors of red, bright green, yellow, and hot pink would go with it. All these colors seem intense colors. Are you crossing the color band at the same hue or intensity that makes these color go together? In the end, I chose a hat called “true red” to go with my zebra coat.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Very interesting question……sapphire blue is considered a true pure blue, not green or purple. When I was suggesting color hat accents….first I had in mind a beret as I very rarely use a hat. The colors should not be any more intense the the blue of the coat or they will stand out too much. The value should be equal, so the yellow, for instance, should be a deep yellow.

  35. Seka

    Louis,

Thank you for all your Beautiful designs – your Quality is so Superior to every other Brand on the Q and to what many Retail stores offer. I wear Linea every day!

Was just looking at the new H by Halston line – you would think for a new line they would have tried to WOW the details and quality – but so far – the Customer Top Rated items are only 5.3% of the total items they currently offer!

Linea is currently at 53.3% which is Incredible especially considering how long you have been on the Q – No other Q line or Vendor comes even close to this – in ANY Category!

    Seka.

    1. LeefromMinnesota

Here here! Great research Seka, thanks for sharing.

  36. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

While here I should mention that I’m heading to church this morning in your black and white textured midi knit skirt, your grey double zip milano cardigan with faux leather trim, a pink turtleneck, your black jet bead station necklace doubled, your textured cuff watch in gunmetal, your black tights, and black suede pumps 🙂 I don’t usually do so much Linea all at once …. but hey it’s Christmas time 🙂 Thank you for my lovely Linea wardrobe!

  37. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Good Morning Louis: Was wondering if the original Linea Leisure navy pant and the original Linea Leisure skirt in navy – match up to the navy in the new fog/navy ensemble and jacket? Other pieces I already have in the original Linea Leisure palette in navy are the tank and the jacket in navy….. Since that navy did not pair up well with other navy pieces I own in whisper knit – that fabrics-all-take-the-dye-differently thing – just double checking before I plunge in.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy, while I would love to tell you that the navies are all the same…I can not. The new navy is even darker than the previous LL navy. The only way I can tell you there is a possibility of a match is when the garment all come from the same dye lot. Otherwise it is impossible to promise a perfect match. Even when I approve a thumb nail size swatch for the factory to dye the bulk fabric….I can never be sure it will be the same. For instance…if the dye baths hold 100 yard of fabric, and the fabric is accounted for….and another dye bath has to be made to dye another 100 yards of fabric….their is no guarantee they will be 100 % matched. That’s just the way it is…no matter what the price of the fabric. Even one season to another with the WK I can tell the factory we want the Linea navy, but that’s still no guarantee they will match. That’s the reason I say if you want things to match or at least come very close to matching you must buy within the same season. Another example is the new V-neck Tee shirt. That fabric is from a different mill and is dyed separately. So even though we want the same colors there is a slight difference. According to industry standards they are a match, and I would consider them a good match.

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Definitely needed to hear that while contemplating my plunge for fog/navy. It’s what I needed to know : If I want a navy match, gotta get the pant. Thank you Louis! And heartfelt wishes for a wonderful holiday for both you and for Jac – who is probably already either cooking up a storm of delicious things – or contemplating doing so! 🙂

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

You are so right nancy I could gain 10 lbs just from the aromas in the house! She is starting to prepare her dishes,

  38. Goldie76

I am surprised that none of the Linea Ladies has mentioned that your image appeared last night on Barbara Walter’s “The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2015.” Included in the collection of 10 was Donna Karan, and among the photos broadcast of her early days in fashion was that of the young Donna and you (wearing a reddish/orange sweater). Many of us have seen that photo before. You are everywhere these days.

    1. julie

Oh Goldie, I wish I knew about that! It’s too bad the Linea Ladies didn’t have a heads up that photo would be on…I’m sure the viewership would have seen an increase!

      1. Goldie76

I agree, julie. Trying to remember, but wasn’t that show typically aired on Friday nights? It is more difficult for Ms. Walters to snag the best spot these days, I guess, now that she is not full-time. Also, two of the interviews involved not speaking directly with the subject: Jeff Bezos and Caitlyn Jenner were simply pieced together footage. Still, I appreciate her sensibilities when it comes to selecting interesting folk.

        1. Julie

Goldie I don’t know anything about the show since it’s not on my radar & I’ve never watched it.

    2. Goldie76

How embarrassing (at least for me)! I just now re-read my comment and noticed my misplaced apostrophe. Should have keyed in WALTERS’ and not WALTERS’S. I haven’t forgotten how her name is spelled, it’s just that I seem to commit a lot of errors these days. Not as sharp as I used to be when on automatic pilot.

      1. Goldie76

Tried to catch my second error. I meant that my incorrect spelling was WALTER’S

Oh well, I better give up now.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

        1. louis dell'olio

Not to worry……I make errors all the time…I didn’t even notice!

          1. Goldie76

So glad I’m not alone, Louis. I don’t know, it just seems to be worsening (this problem of goof-ups). I’d like to think that it’s just that I’m exhausted from life and running on vapors rather than a certain deterioration (or whatever). It’s not going away, that’s all I know.

I received my “Boucle Knit Open Front Cardigan” (A239320) in Dark Reef Green and love it, Louis! So happy to have the scarf, too. Carol remarked that the set is excellent for traveling abroad because it can be worn at those moments when female modesty in covering the head is called for. And the knit is lightweight — perfect for typical travel in warmer temperatures. Very versatile. It is generously sized, but I would not size down because then the upper-arm area might be too snug.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Goldie…don’t worry about the goof-ups…we all have them. The only time you have to worry is when you have car keys in your hand and don’t know what they are for….other than that alls good. So glad you like your boucle! Generous is always much better than skimpy!!

  39. Rochelle

Louis, does the darker shade in the Currant WK cardigan coordinate with the Aubergine WK pencil skirt?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Rochelle, I’m assuming you are speaking of the color block cardigan and the matching currant crew neck WK. YES, I think they coordinate very well together. The Aubergine is much darker and is a nice dark color to wear on the bottom….otherwise your alternatives are navy, black, and grey, which are all contrasts…..but I the aubergine is more tonal which is pretty..

      1. Rochelle

Thank you. I like soft semi-suiting options that can keep me warm with layers. My classrooms can get cold.

  40. Martha Elton

    Hello Louis,
Will you be making your whisper-knit scarf again? I am anxiously on wait list for the red one and already have three others. They are great.

    Martha

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      No….it has not been reordered.

  41. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Will we ever get the Kate shirt or a similar shirt with the wing collar in the same cotton fabric in the color black??? I would so love to have it in black.

    Carol

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Carol….if the plan goes through…the wing collar shirt will be in black for next fall.

      1. Carol in FL

Fantastic! I’m so excited. That will be perfect. Thanks for taking such good care of your Linea Ladies.

        Carol

        1. Grace

Another happy camper here for the wing collar shirt in black:)

  42. new york karan

I would like to know what color hat would you suggest to go with my sapphire blue zebra coat. I have a black one, but wanted something more colorful.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

You can always match the sweater you’re wearing under it….I think you could wear many different colors….it just depends how you coordinate it….red, bright green, yellow, hot pink could all work….what kind of hat?????

      1. new york karan

I think I’d like a more classic hat. Living in New York, I think it would be fun to feel dressed-up when I go to church, out to dinner, or even to the MET. I really love this coat. Thank you for encouraging us to take a chance.

  43. Debra

    Dear Louis,
I have been a big fan for years. I am now losing weight and not sure where I fit anymore. Also, I am concerned about swing styles that may not be as flattering any more.
I am 5’6″ and 205 and going down.
Do I get a Large or an XL in the swing sweater?

I did try a L in the swing cardigan but found it too big, while the matching whisper knit tank in the L is too snug. I purchased it in five colors last year in plus size.

thanks so much for your help!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra, I honestly don’t know. Maybe some who is similar to you in size can offer a suggestion.

      1. Anonymous

        Dear Debra,
I have found that checking the QVC sizing measurements has always worked for me, if I am in doubt about the sizing of a garment. Also, be sure to read the reviews to see what people say about the fit of an item.

        1. Debra

I always do read through all of the reviews but I appreciate your help. I am right on the bubble with sizing but some pieces run big, so thought I would ask. Thanks for your comment.

          1. Rochelle

Debra, I find the large fits my 44″ bustline quite well. It is my fullest proportion and all in the front. I’m also under 5′ so the swing sweater has a bit of a tunic look on me. Because of my bustline, I choose knit tops designed to accommodate my “fronts.” Get an idea of where the weight is dropping from proportionally then choose a size that will accommodate where you are fullest right now. Do not buy a “goal weight” garment and deny yourself the current pleasure of wearing it. I made that mistake once with a $200 leather full skirt that taunted me for decades.

  44. Beryl

Any idea when we can expect the new hoodie?I love the taupe but the lemon is really speaking to me.

    1. louis dell'olio

For my Dec. 29th show I would guess.

  45. luvitorleaveit

Thanks for mentioning that the WK skirts can be hemmed I meant to ask a while ago and forgot since I brought the nutmeg open front cardigan a while ago and saw the skirt but it was longer than I normally wear but now I just ordered it before it’s gone so I can take it to my tailor! Love the nutmeg color. I am also so happy that the alabaster quilted jacket popped back in my size; I ordered the black as soon as it was posted but missed out on the alabaster because it sold out so quick…now I will have both.

    1. louis dell'olio

So glad to hear you were able to get it….it’as a terrific jacket. Unfortunately “they decided not to reorder it??? and I had the new colors already picked out ]:

      1. luvitorleaveit

What??? That quilted jacket is a hands down hit. I truly am fortunate to get it now and I think it was the last one in my size. I am looking forward to adding more alabaster to my collection. No ponte knit pants reorder either I see I was looking forward to adding more colors…….bummer.

      2. Kate

This one does surprise me. It was a sell out and I don’t think many returns, either. Hopefully they spent the budget on something equally fabulous!

Did they reorder the trench in new colors?

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear Kate….the quilted jacket should have been a reorder, but they didn’t have the money in the budget???? The trench coat will be back next Oct? in two new colors plus Olive is coming back…….one of the colors will be black on black….the second will have to be a surprise!

  46. Karen in WA

Louis, I have the blue sweater and scarf and the aqua WK and I love the colors. I am still dreaming of an aqua WK turtle neck and/or cardigan. Any chances?

    1. louis dell'olio

There’s always a chance….however, I was surprised the Aqua Leisure hoodie, which is the WK aqua color that has sold out, hasn’t done that well, which leads me to believe that maybe the Aqua has run it’s course????

      1. Karen in WA

It is my thought the leisure fans are not the same as WK fans. At least thats me. I have the aqua jeans, vest, v-neck, jacket, lace top, crape (sp) jacket, and I want more. 🙂

  47. Kathy/Wis

    Dear Louis
Is there any chance we could have some necklaces like the ones pictured with the cardigans and scarf? I know it’s probably wishful thinking.
Happy Holidays to you and Jac.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Kathy….if you are referring to the ethnic Indian necklaces……I wouldn’t even try to duplicate them…..they would never come out as pretty..These are old pieces from my personal collection….You should try googling jewelry from India?I will try to see if my resource is still in business and if they have a web site…..they really weren’t very expensive.

      1. Kathy/Wis

Thank you so much. I just love them.

  48. Karen Proctor

Hello Louis, among my collection of whisper knits is the nutmeg tank and zip-up cardigan and scarf. Today I ordered the nutmeg skirt in the mid-calf length which is about 32 inches long, a longer length than I usually wear. I was wondering: Do you think the whisper knit skirts can be successfully hemmed?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Karen, yes it can Jac has one of the pencil skirts and she wanted it shorter so she took it to the local cleaners who has a tailor. They shortened it and it looks good.

  49. Lyn

Louis, I purchased a pair of Cobalt Ponte Knit pants as a QVC “lunchtime special”. They arrived today, and I can only find the cobalt/black Asymmetrical Hem Knit Tunic with Panel in my wardrobe to wear with the pants, and maybe the peacock v-neck Shetland sweater. Since the cobalt Animal Jacquard Zip Front Jacket is completely sold out, and I know I’ll never be able to get this piece (I have 3 colors already), do you have any suggestions on what I can wear with these pants (I wear size small)? Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Lyn…you have to refresh my memory…..what is the A number

      1. Lyn

The animal jacquard jacket (not available) is A230025. The ponte knit pants are A230029 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Pull-on Slim Leg Pants.

      2. Lyn

By the way, I tried the pants with a black turtleneck and the Peacock Heather Shetland V-neck sweater, and that looks fine. I just want to know what else I can wear with these pants, as I’d like to be able to wear them with more than one top/jacket. Thanks again.

  50. Pamela in Anchorage

Happy holidays Dear Louis & Jac!

Hope this finds you doing well.

    Stay healthy & happy!

    Love, Pamela

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Pamela, we are so happy to hear from you!!!!! We have missed you and were worrying about you……Happiest of Holidays to you and your family.

    2. Tylerpoo

Pamela, miss you! Please come back to the QVC forum!!

      1. Anonymous

So sweet of you to express – been missing all of you wonderful ladies. Hope to have more time after the new year – less work & travel.

  51. TrishM

Hi Louis. Is the new hoodie material like a scuba/neoprene? Also thank you for whisper knit!! I wear it nonstop…my WK scarf was always with me when I was sightseeing in Iceland (which is magnificent -the Northern lights are amazing)- but my scarf was soft and warm. Much better than wool!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Trish….I don’t know if you got my answer so I’ll try again. I would say it’s a hybrid. Most scuba fabrics are 100% poly. This is a poly/rayon/span blend. It’s the same fabric as my Linea Leisure tunic, A267873. It is very soft to the touch.

  52. Rochelle

    Dear Louis,

Could you explain the difference in color between the stone and latte whisper knit skirts?

    Thank you.

    1. louis dell'olio

stone is more of a light taupe and latte is more of a light beige.

  53. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE ACCESSING LOUIS’ website……
And sometime in the past 6 months you installed Windows 10, including any version thereof such as PRO, don’t let anybody lead you astray as to why this is happening to you. Start FIRST by trying another browser (other than Microsoft’s new EDGE)…. Firefox saves my bacon on this issue and I tried EVERYTHING for months asking all the techno gurus I could as to why this was happening. If you can access and post on Louis’ blog after getting there by way of another browser…..chalk it up to Microsoft’s Windows 10’s EDGE internet browser.

    1. Lyn

Now, I’m glad I’m using Windows 7 on my old Dell laptop (after having it rebuilt) and also have an Apple MacBook Pro. I haven’t had any problem accessing Louis’ blog (so far, at least).

  54. Elaine

Good Morning Louis, the Jacqueline de Ribes exhibit at The Met is not to be missed. I’m sure it’s on your radar. What glamour!
    See you soon. Elaine

  55. Kimiko

Dearest Louis, very soon LDO Dec.29th, 1:oo pm one hour show—only a couple of weeks to go. As an early Chrisrmas present, please when you get a moment, could you give us ahint of one of the new items coming for this show.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Kimiko, There are five new items for the Dec 29th show. Since by that date we can’t ship and QVC can’t deliver for Holiday dressing, I will be showing Linea Leisure pieces. I am planning to start my Sneak Peeks this weekend. Since four of them are coordinates the sneak peeks will come basically in one weekend.

      1. Beryl

        Can’t wait.

      2. Kimiko

Thank you for your kind response. I do like your Linea Leisure pieces and enjoy wearing them often. Please know how helpful your sneak peaks are to us. The Linea Ladies are so helpful on the forum sharing the sneak peaks with everyone and also making suggestions on what they will wear with the new pieces (Vintage Linea pieces and from their personal closets). Your ideas and styling is most useful. We so enjoy seeing the pieces ahead of time and anticipating and planning for them to join our own collections.

  56. Chris S.

    Dear Louis,
Is there a reorder of the pull-on ponte knit pants A237394? They were very popular. I actually prefer the fit of this older, letter sized style from a year or two ago to the numerical sized ones from this year. I have several pairs of these, but could use a few fresh new pairs in black, navy, and grey.
    Thank you!

    1. louis dell'olio

No….that pant has not been reordered, and I don’t know why…..my guess would be not enough $$$$

      1. Jane J.

Louis, Interestingly, I could not wear A237394 – the front and back rise was just not right on me. But, I absolutely LOVE everything about the new ponte pants A268216 –the fit, the length, the “feel” of the fabric. I have four of these – 2 grey, 2 black — I’m really hoping these come back in new colors.

        1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

I agree – love A268216. I would really like navy and walnut too. I am hoping you are able to stick with this fabric. I’d like to see it in a slim pant too. Thanks for all you do!

          Susan

  57. Beryl

I am patiently waiting for it to get cold enough to wear my zebra coat. In the meantime I am getting much use from my A251586 Anorak which I love.
    Beryl

  58. Joanne

    Hi Louis

I own the short sleeve alabaster sweater as well as the alabaster cady shirt. I am looking forward to the alabaster pants you mentioned previously on this blog. When do you plan on offering the new slacks for sale? Also will you be offering additional items in alabaster?

On another front I own your nutmeg scarf as well as your black scarf. I love them both. They are so versatile for warmth as well as fashion.

    Thanks Louis

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Joanne….I believe the alabaster pant will be avail in May. It’s a spring item in a new gauze crepe, and yes there will be other items in Alabaster for spring and next fall….that’s if the order the fall ones.

  59. luvitorleaveit

Hi Louis, I haver been in and out of town over the past few weeks, but I had to stop in to rave on my goodies! Finally the alabaster asymmetrical hem blouae popped back in my size and I love it the color reminds me of french vanilla, the black popped back in my size too so I just ordered it today. The woven tunic in red and ivory are both beautiful; the red is awesome and the length is perfect not too long for me, also the green combo asymmetrical top is wonderful feels like pajamas very comfortable, I also snagged the pull on ponte knit pants-now I see what all the rave is about no wonder they can’t keep these in stock I love the material and the awesome fit. I also ordered the last I believe olive station necklace yet another Linea jewelry piece to add to my collection. Last but not least I ordered my first pair of tights the tuxedo ones…I saw Jacque wearing them on FEW so I can’t wait to get these before the holidays and parties that are coming up. Off to post my reviews. Take care.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi…Imso happy you love your goodies….wear everything in good health!

      1. luvitorleaveit

I forgot to mention that I have practically been wearing my zebra coat everyday the weather here in NYC has been pefect for it so far even when it’s dropped down to the mid 30’s. It’s warmer than I thought because it’s so lightweight but when I am outside it keeps me warm and when I get on the train or bus I don’t get overheated either and I’m just wearing my WK pieces underneath and a scarf around my neck if it’s chilly out. I am so glad I got it.

  60. Kate

LDO-is it too soon to know if the single bar pendant necklace will be reordered for 2016?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Kate, because it sold out in a flash, with a large wait list, I believe it will, but I have no delivery date.

      1. diane bloch

Great news. I bought the chocolate. QVC cancelled my WL order for the gold a few days ago.

        1. Kate

And mine for gunmetal (a spare). I was hoping that this is just due to being more than 45 days since the order and it appears to be so. Perhaps we’ll see this stunner again in the spring. Hope springs, and all!

          1. Enjay

They just canceled my gunmetal wait list, too. I wore the silver more than any the necklace this fall – I’d jump on a reorder, in every color.

            1. louis dell'olio

They will be coming in 2016.

  61. breee

Hi Louis, there is a lady on the Linea forums who says her lariat necklace broke recently. She states she is unable to access your website. She mentioned that she recently installed Windows 10. Any suggestions for her to get it repaired. Thanks.

    1. louis dell'olio

      She has to send to:
      Repairs Department
      C/O TCJC LLC
      3B Industrial Drive
      Smithfield, R.I. 02917

She must enclose a check in the amount of $7.50 for shipping and a brief letter stating she purchased the item from QVC, and a description of what repair is required. Her name and return address.

      1. Wendy/DE

Thank you, Louis. I will do that. Thanks also to Bree for helping me out. Linea ladies are the best!

        1. louis dell'olio

Hi Wendy….were you the lady breee was referring to who couldn’t access my web site?If so I’m glad you found your way here……Keep checking in for my sneak peeks and all the questions the ladies ask. Many of the questions pertain to all of you….Louis

          1. Wendy/DE

Yes, I was. For some reason I have to go to another browser to make a comment since I upgraded to Windows 10. Anyway, thanks, Louis. Best of the holidays to you and Jac!

  62. cela

    Hi Louis,

…what wine did you have with dinner tonight???

  63. Joanne

    Happy Holidays Louis
What are you showing on FEW 12/4/15?
    Thanks

  64. Goldie76

Whoa, Nellie! Dec. 12 is on a Saturday night. It will really be a wonderful birthday celebration! Perfection!

  65. Goldie76

    http://lasvegassun.com/blogs/kats-report/2015/dec/01/ehrlich-has-the-world-on-a-string-with-all-star-li/

Sorry to stray from fashion, but the Frank Sinatra 100th birthday celebration TV all-star spectacular will be broadcast on CBS this coming Sunday night. I understand that Hoboken, N.J., will be bouncing next Friday, December 12, the actual date of Sinatra’s 100th. Would love to be there! NYC better be flashing Frank’s face on the Empire State Building, that’s all I can say. They really must do that.
