    Dear Louis,

Just a quick note to say THANK YOU to you and Jac for the updates and sneak peeks of the new items for the February show … what a delightful surprise! LOVE all the new items, and many will be packed for our upcoming April 19 cruise in the Mediterranean, including every color of the Pebble Crepe Tunic! Our first trip to the Mediterranean, and I was fretting about what to pack … should have known … Louis to the rescue LOL! THANKS !!!

  2. gapeach

I want to add my joy at seeing the new items you posted. I can’t wait to see the new trench jackets on the show. I love, love, love my navy trench coat I was smart enough to order, so this is also a must, but I’m not sure which color, so I’ll wait and check it out when you show it. By the way is it going to be on the early show tomorrow, or on your show Monday? I also have the red/navy striped sweater and had not thought of pairing them, but it’s a great look. Is the new one lighter than the other? And does it have a lining? Living in Georgia, I would love one that is more on the fall/early spring spectrum.

I also ordered the new Pebble Crepe top in Perfectly Pink. I love the color and have a couple of other items matching it. I am going to New Orleans in April and hope it will be cool enough for me to wear then. The new pick necklace is perfect for it.

    Looking forward to your shows.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear gapeach, the jacket is cotton and is definitely lighter in weight than the fall trench coat it would be perfect for you pretty soon. It is fully lined. As for the pebble crepe it will be perfect for New Orleans it depends on how hot is is there for the jacket. It’s going to be in the 50s next week in NYC, and the jacket would be perfect with a sweater under it.

    Dear Louis,
First of all, thanks for posting the new items. With getting ready for the new items on the upcoming show on such short notice, I don’t know how in the world you did it.
I about jumped up and did a little dance of joy in seeing the PERFECTLY PINK PEBBLE CREPE TOP (A213621). THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
That new pink quartz necklace looks so beautiful. I cannot wait for it to come in.

Louis I am so disappointed that A259702 pants did not sell well. It took me forever to order them but I brought them in the olive color and immediately fell in love with the fit and the material which reminded me of the gabardine suits I use to wear to work many, many years ago but that material wears like iron I still have those suits and they still look the same as if I just brought them. I paired your pants with A267874 in moss and got so many compliments at work. I am looking forward to you bringing other pieces in this fabric.

  5. NJlady

    Louis,
So excited to see some new stuff.
Can you consider doing the super ponte in 30″ if narrow – then more people can buy.
The 28″ is just too short
    Thanks you

    1. Judy

I’m with you NJlady, at least a 30 inch inseam would fit more people than a 28 inch inseam!

    2. louis dell'olio

I’ll push for it, but QVC production department has the final say

      1. Grace

Louis, I’m curious…why does the QVC production department vary the inseam lengths from designer to designer? I’ve noticed a consistency of 32-inch inseams for one of the new designer lines in the “Regular” size pants. It’s all so mysterious (even weird) how QVC makes those decisions. I agree with Judy & NJLady that a 30-inch inseam is a nice compromise for taller ladies, but I recognize it’s QVC’s call.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I honestly don’t know….a lot has to do with the leg opening at the bottom the smaller the opening the shorter the inseam….the larger the opening the longer the inseam. That’s why I was able to get them to OK a longer inseam for the boot cut pant….but they do have their rules.

          1. Grace

Thanks so much, Louis, for taking the time to answer my question when I know this is a very busy time for you. We are all in awe of how you managed to post all the sneak peeks so quickly! So excited for the upcoming shows!!

  6. Ann

i see that several posters have mentioned the super ponte pants. I’d like to request super ponte pants in the petite length. i love them but I don’t like to take the time and expense to take them to the tailor for hemming. i hope things are thawing out smoothly in CT. Remember is was 70 degrees on Christmas Eve! Spring is around the corner!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Ann..you would like petites and I would more than love to offer them to you, but who you should be telling this is the buyers. They make all of those decisions, and they write the orders. I always “suggest” petites and tall lengths to them, but you can see how far that’s gotten. When they buy two lengths or if tall, three lengths, they almost have to triple the $$$ amount of the buy because all sizes must be purchased, which eats into the budget. If they buy petites then another style has to be dropped.

  7. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis,

I was just trying to catch up on writing reviews for Linea items on QVC and thought about some of my favorite fabrics.

Will you be offering A259702 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Stretch Woven Regular Slim Leg Pants again? I would like to request that you do so. Also, could you make a matching jacket and skirt out of this same fabric?

I also would love to see more garments in the Super Ponte. What a GREAT FABRIC! Thanks for anything you can do.

    1. louis dell'olio

The A259702 didn’t sell well so it will not be repeated, but I will have a jacket and pant in a similar fabric for March…..I will have a slim leg pant and jacket in the Super Ponte this coming Dec.

      1. Writer with Flair

Hurrah! Thanks, Louis. I look forward to these items.

      2. Kate

I adore the previous super ponte pants and jacket, so this is great news. Would make a really nice skirt…!

        1. Goldie76

          Woo hoo! Skirt lady here!

          1. Pecan Cookie

Me too for a skirt! I love the Leisure skirt which I have doubles but you know those won’t last forever just like the drawstring pencil skirts that came in black, white, nectarine, and a blue (maybe called lapis?) that also get a workout! Sure could use a new nifty super ponte skirt.

        2. louis dell'olio

this is the Super Ponte of the boot cut pant not the long jacket which was even heavier……no skirts. they always pass the skirt for the pant……maybe skirt sales have been soft?

          1. Goldie76

“…maybe skirt sales have been soft?”

Not on my order log. Maybe you will have one of your magnificent unusual fabric finds for new skirts, as you so often do. Fingers crossed. I know some great WK skirts are coming up, and for that I am grateful.

I am thinking that QVC envisions you as the creator of an elegant casual wear/athleisure line.

          2. Kate

My bad. I thought you were referring to A257338, the ponte knit legging that had the matching jacket.

I love skirts but I can see where they might no be as popular these days.

            1. Grace

I also love skirts & find them far more comfortable than pants. The longer the length, the better for me.

  8. Chris S,

    Good Morning,
Will you tell us the trim colors on the cute new hoodies which were just posted?
    Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris….the trim is very interesting. It is a mesh trim and the Sea Green has Grey, the Blue has Navy and the Petunia has Black

      1. Chris S,

They all sound really cute. I just ordered the Sea Green and grey hoping it is a co-ordinate to the original LL pants in grey which I’ve already received.

        1. louis dell'olio

That’s not a worry….the strips are so narrow you can wear any color bottom with the Sea Green.

  9. Bonnie Anderson

Hi Louis. A273299, the leisure knit hoodie just appeared online at qvc. I’m not familiar with this fabric content. I’m a xl or 1x in whisper knit, and a 1x in cotton/span. Can you recommend a size or comment on the fit? Thank you!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bonnie…..this is a first…QVC has posted an item before I have even received my samples!….it is a new fabric, and I wouldn’t compare it to a WK which is a sweater and this is a cut and sew fabric. I think I would say 1x because this should be easy and relaxed. This kind of top I prefer roomier than skimpier…..

      1. Bonnie Anderson

Thanks Louis!! I’m all over that gorgeous sea green!! See you February 1st!!!

  10. DiAnne

Is there any chance the quilted jacket with collar (A259102) is coming back in other colors? I love that jacket and have noticed that it isn’t on clearance so I am hoping for an olive one.

    1. louis dell'olio

DiAnne, unfortunately no. I thought that jacket would have been a slam dunk, but it wasn’t as successful as I had hoped. I don’t think there are that many left.

    2. Donna

Me too DiAnne, I have both colors. It’s the softest jacket, too bad we cannot get more colors. It really is fabulous.

  11. Kathy/Wis

I am another periwinkle color lover. Hope you Jac have stayed safe during the storm.

  12. Patricia (a.k.a. unpeudemoi)

    Re:A267877, Rayon knit peplum tunic
You asked for our color preferences, these are mine, Topaz, Olive, Espresso/Walnut.

While I’m at it, I’ll put in my request for any top in an intense Periwinkel, it is the only shade of blue other than your deep navy tones that I feel comfortable wearing.

Thank you, Louis, for surveying your customers.

    1. Goldie76

I begged for a periwinkle spring WK last year. I really loooove that shade!

      1. Grace

        Me too, Goldie!

  13. Chris S,

    Good Morning,
I was just able to pick up the black pinstripe jacket as a lunchtime special…fabulous price! Now, I’m thinking of bottoms. I ‘m not good at trying to decide which fabrics might work together, especially if the shades of black don’t match. I’m not a jeans girl. I’m wondering if the whisper knit pants, long whisper knit skirt, or ponte pants and skirts which I have would work well as bottoms. I also have some black stretch crepe pants from a different designer. I have the wing collar shirt in 3 colors and of course many wk tanks. I looked at the video and the pictures on the blog, but couldn’t figure out what would work with the black.

    Thanks for your help.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Chris….if you got the black with the gray stripe….try the boot cut pant in charcoal grey and a white shirt……Any black bottom will work if the blacks are close….and in the spring ALL white underneath…..pant a Tee……with lots of silver

  14. Kate

LDO, will we see the return of Moss Crepe this year? Love my tops and skirts.

    1. louis dell'olio

YES…..and I will be introducing a new “gauze crepe” that I think you will love too.

  15. Debra

    Dear Louis,
I adored your rayon/span maxi skirt and wish it would come back. So soft and a fabulous basic!

I have not tried your A267877 Rayon Knit Peplum top yet, but am adoring your flattering WK swing sweater A259620 in size L (own 3 colors; cannot wait to hear about the reorder).

Would the sizing/fit be the same? I love how the swing sweater lays but don’t know if the seam on the peplum top will keep it from laying flat and smoothly (I don’t want an empire look)?

    many thanks,
    Debra

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Debra….it would be better for the women who own both to advise you. It isn’t Empire, but it does sit above the waist. This gives the body a longer look. I find when the top have is the same length as the bottom half [the skirt] it foreshortens the body and isn’t as flattering a proportion. The women who own both can better say how the fit is comparable. As it turns out this top may not be reordered and there are only 55 pieces in inventory.

      1. Debra

Thank you for your reply Louis.

As far as the Swing Sweater, in the crewneck A259620, I am all about the jewel tones.
I would love another in the amethyst/purple family, lapis, ruby/scarlet, and of course, I will need another black one!

        All the best ~
        Debra

  17. MadameDuFiffers

    Hi Louis,

What do you think of this sweater in bright olive for this brown eyed, light complected, salt and pepper lady: A257356?

Also, regarding colors: Yes, your sapphire would be spectacular in the TN swing. And, as someone mentioned elsewhere, the rose hip…delicious!

    TIA

    Madame

    1. louis dell'olio

I think it should be good. You can always add a pretty scarf in rich colors, but I think the bright olive should work…..It’s a terrific sweater…..Jac’s favorite.

      1. Enjay

Mine, too. I have it in nutmeg, bright olive and black. Bought two sizes in black – if you go up a size, you get a fantastic, slouchy look that’s perfect over tights or workout clothes. Really wish this one was coming back. And the olive is a gorgeous color. Can’t go wrong!

        1. MadameDuFiffers

Thanks Enjay! Do you have grey hair? I’m fairly new to the grey hair and am finding that certain colors just don’t work anymore. Plus, I lean toward the darker colors for contrast. I think Louis is one of the finest “colorists” in the industry!
          Madame

  18. Ashley

Colours I’m finding myself attracted to and looking for—-with all the sports teams popping brighter stronger colours (almost neon like) I’m wanting leisure wear that has bright accents! Like elecric blue accents on black, crazy about the Seattle Seahawks uniforms — bright navy with green feathers running up the side of their pants–I am aching for a Linea Leisure piece that is inspired by the Sea Hawks uniform colours (those feathers up the side—wow!). Am liking turquoise with a pop of bright yellow. Is the tradional colours –black, navy with just small details in a bright neon like colour that is what I’m crazy about in leisure wear. I really like the strips of Colorado that glows/reflects in the dark. Also small geometric accents–triangles, dots, ovals, rectangles.. And, two way zippers on all closures and zipper pockets–a must for an active lifestyle. Just some thoughts for you and your team.

    1. louis dell'olio

Ashley….I understand exactly what you are saying. It might be difficult to get those colors passed the buyers. They tried neon colors with another active line and it didn’t sell.

  19. Elaine

Hi Louis, had to tell you….as we were heading out to dinner last evening I was looking for my WK scarf, I found it around my husband’s neck. I’ve been encouraging him to try it, even ordering 4 more last month. Next for him will be a WK TN!

Hope you and Jac and your Girls are safe and warm, can barely see the Hudson a half block away here on the West Side. Soups on, it will be a movie evening for us!
Thank you and see you soon. Elaine

    1. louis dell'olio

Ditto for us…..The snow is really starting to pile up. We fared Okay with the high tied. It just came up a little way on the lawn. Now we have to see how we do with the next high tide at 11pm…..except this time there will be a full moon even if we can’t see it.

      1. Elaine

Dressed in my Linea, jewels and all….ready for cocktails at home! Nothing better really.

  20. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Hi Louis – A268127 is so cute and soft and cozy I purchased all three colors. My five-star review stands – adorable design! I purchased this in an XL, actually a size up to be nice and slouchy. I washed it today, in a lingerie bag, on my washer’s hand wash setting, cold water. It shrunk to a child’s size. I tried blocking it and was able to get the most of the width back, but the length is hopeless. I will send my other two colors to the dry cleaners. Please alert QVC to change the washing directions online, at a minimum. Ideally each piece needs a little note to alert people not to wash it. Customers will be upset otherwise. Hope this helps….love this top!

    1. Yvette

Oh Susan, I’m so sorry to hear this. Please understand that I’m not doubting you at all, but I just wanted to let you know that I wash mine the exact same way as you and have had no shrinkage at all. I’m letting you know this because you may wish to return the shrunken sweater to QVC and try again. They don’t all shrink. For what it’s worth, my hooded sweater is the oatmeal color – don’t know which color of yours shrunk.

      1. Susan (aka carlytwila)

        …the blue one

        1. Rochelle

Hand wash anything with wool unless it says it can go in the washing machine. Lingerie bag or not, the wool will felt when wet & agitated. Knitters do this all the time on purpose. Hand wash, line dry or dry flat.

I sent my Taupe one back for an even exchange when I found a hole, but the Q processed it with a refund instead. Moving ate my budget this month; I am hoping for easy pay opportunity to repurchase. And now I cannot decide on replacing the taupe, getting blue instead, or both.

    2. louis dell'olio

Dear Susan…..This has been brought to my attention already, and I thank you. It is very strange because some are having this problem and some as Yvette states are not. This is very puzzling to me because a lot of money is spent on testing shrinkage, color fastness, pilling etc. These are all things QVC requires before a garment can be sold. These sweaters all passed or they wouldn’t have gotten on air, so I don’t know what the matter is with the yarn, which was new to me. I had already told my manufacturer about the complaints, but frankly there isn’t much they can do. It’s a matter of the horse has already left the barn, and QVC won’t change the instructions because they are already on the labels, so the best they can do is accept the returns. You are right to have the others dry cleaned, and I hope you retrun the shrunken one, or at least have them replace it.

      1. Rochelle

My label, said hand wash, dry flat.

      2. Joanne

I hand washed in cold water in color fast Woolite and dried flat. My oatmeal hoodie sweater turned out perfect and did not shrink at all. It looks and feels exactly the same. Still a lovely match for my Linea slim ankle Lt. Khaki pants.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Good news!

  21. Goldie76

Not a question — just a comment: I noted from QVC broadcasts yesterday and this morning that a couple of the “house designers” are focusing on one of your prime areas, the tank with a coordinating cardigan. You set the bar high, as we know. Also, as the saying goes, “Imitation is the highest form of flattery.”

    1. Goldie76

“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” And I had my two cups of coffee. Oh well.

  22. Yoko

Thank you for asking us what colours we would enjoy for some of the upcoming sweaters. It is fun to share our ideas and have a chance to see other Linea Ladies suggestions. For me, I am feeling very blue — deep blues like sapphire, colbalt , and rich Greek blues.

A267877, Rayon knit peplum tunic–colbalt blue, black berry and Dark plum

2-A259108, Faux Shetland V-neck–pumpkin, blueberry and teal

3-A268137, WK swing TN — reddish purple, navy and toffee

  23. Joanne

    Hi Louis
I know you are bringing back the whisper knit quilted jacket. I have seen the new colors. I am stalking that jacket in alabaster in Medium. I messed up by not buying when offered. I did purchase the short sleeve sweater in alabaster. Is QVC reordering the whisper knit quilted jacket in alabaster?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Joanne….I am sorry to disappoint you, but I chose to bring in new colors and not repeat the old. I have found that many times when we repeat the old colors some sell, but many remain in inventory. When we bring in new colors they tend to sell out. If it should be reordered again and there is a strong request for the alabaster I will ask to bring it back.

      1. Joanne

Thank you Louis. I am good at stalking. Hopefully an alabaster jacket will come into stock. Your fall collection was so sensational. I should have spent a little more and purchased that jacket in alabaster. I am looking forward to your spring and fall collections.

    2. Donna

Hi Joanne – Are you referring to A267878? I am returning this in size 10 (I think I need an 8.) It’s the Alabaster color too (which is gorgeous). So be on the lookout. Or maybe we could work out a way for me to send to you? I know other Linea Ladies have done this.

      1. Joanne

Donna, you are so kind. I am fairly thin, but I have broad shoulders and I am somewhat busty. I generally take a medium, but I lean toward the size 12. Besides you had better keep your size 10, QVC’s website only has size 20 in alabaster. Everything else is sold out. I will have to continue to stalk. I have had success in the past with stalking. Thank you again!

  24. Shari

    Hi Louis

Been thinking of you and Joc in this coming storm. Was wondering if you are home during it, if you could post a couple pictures of what you see.?
Please take care and prayers go up for you both, plus the “babies”.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Shari….we are all set…. The fire wood is stacked high inside the house, Jac did all of her shopping today, and yesterday made a huge post of vegetable soup which will will partake of this evening with some cheese and white wine…..by candle light and the fire roaring. We chose DVD’s to watch, and the girls are already in their places on the couches. I had my handy man put plastic runners down outside where we walk so after the snow he will shovel, remove the runners and there will be no ICE………so ……let it snow letitsnowletitsnow!

      1. Shari

Sounds wonderfully relaxing. You gave me a good idea for tomorrow night, although our fireplace is a very realistic gas fireplace and we just flip the switch.
Just got back from the store with my soup makings, salad makings, some baguettes and white wine.
I chose to make Butternut squash soup, a very old recipe from my great grandma.
Here in Michigan, we had the storm last week. We live next to Lake Michigan ,so we get tons of lake effect snow and alot of wind.
I’ll hope for those pictures out your window!
        Take care
        Eat and be merry!

  26. nyc1

Hi Louis. Hopefully you and Jac will not be hit with a lot of snow the next few days. I’m in Chicago now, but my heart and sister still belong to NY! I may be late to the party because I’ve been travelling, but I just got your swing sweater (A259620), and it is beyond gorgeous. I got the black, and went back for more, but the only color available is the tobacco (which I’m going to get). Will you be bringing this sweater back, and if yet, in what colors? Would love fuschia as one of them. The weight and shape of the sweater are perfect. I tried it on last night and ran to order more…. but just about all the colors are gone. As I’ve mentioned in the past, I’ve been buying your clothes since you first came to the Q, and admiring your style well before that. Just read Donna Karan’s book… you HANDSOME DEVIL (!), and loved all the wonderful things she had to say about you (not surprised). Thanks for your reply and for the attention you give to the women who love your clothes and adore you.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear nyc1…..yes, the sweater is coming back, along with the TN version and hopefully a V-neck version…don’t know what colors have been chosen yet.

      1. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

        V-neck in the swing sweater!Swoon…

      2. nyc1

Thank you so much. Also love a ballet neck. IMO that is the most flattering of necklines if done well…. which is the only way you know how to do things. Thank you again.

    2. Joanne

I agree the swing sweaters whether the boat neck, turtleneck or cardigan are sublime. Whenever I wear one of those sweaters, people compliment me on the sweater. But mostly they compliment me on my slimness. The sweater immediately takes 10 lbs off of me. I am fairly thin, but I look like a sylph in a swing sweater especially when paired with my Linea slim ankle pants. Thank you Louis!

      1. louis dell'olio

Sylph is not a word that will ever be used describing me….LOL

  27. Joanne

    Hi Louis
I noticed for the new colors of your very popular swing cardigan – one of the new colors is Burnt Umber. Generally what is that color in your collection? I googled the color and the color wheel showed variations.

    1. louis dell'olio

      It’s a golden tobacco color…..but not tobacco.

      1. Writer with Flair

Would it work with your nutmeg Whisper Knit items?

        1. louis dell'olio

Which items are you referring to?

          1. Writer with Flair

The items I had in mind were the Whisper Knit Oversized Sweater (A257356), the Whisper Knit Mid-Calf Skirt (A257384), and the Whisper Knit Scarf (A257914).

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

The dark Unber is more brown and more gold and does not look anything like the WK sweaters you are referring to.

  28. Shan

You may have shared this but I missed it. Are there any new items coming in the February 1 show? I am on pins and needles!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shan….no Feb. 1st is still inventory items….Hopefully some good buys. New starts in March.

  29. CC

A267872 Linea Leisure by Louis Dell’Olio Short Sleeve V-Neck Top–this top is just what I’ve been needing–yes, needing. Fabric, cut, design and colours. Terrific. Just went back and ordered two more. It is understated, contemporary yet with a updated traditional vibe. I want it in black, navy, red and girly pink. I want it I in sea foam, hibiscus, and cognac. I’d enjoy it in tree bark, parchment and baby blue… I am crazy about this top and the fabric. It is really a sleeper. Finger crosse others like it as much as I do. Thank you.

  30. Beryl

    Louis,
The taupe leisure pants just arrived and as you said they’re perfect with the taupe hoodie. What a genius you are.

    1. Tylerpoo

The taupe color goes well with the stone color WK tops and skirts.

  31. Cheri

Louis would the new grey leisure pants be a close Match to the fog jacket thank you. I look forward to your next shows to see how you coordinate all of the items.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cheri….sorry for the tardy reply. I put the two pieces on the form and the pant grey is much darker than the fog. That in it’s self doesn’t bother me, but the pant has a little more yellow in it and the fog is a bluer gray so they are definitely a miss match. Honestly I have seen worse and today they put anything together, but since you asked I wouldn’t think you live in that camp. If it’s the style of pant you are interested in with the jacket than I would suggest the navy. It isn’t the exact same navy as the trims on the fog jacket, but it blends better than the gray.

      1. cheri

Thank you Louis for answering I do have the navy leisure pants and will wear the jacket with them. Thank for taking the time to answer our questions and all of the sneak peeks you show us. Cheri

  32. LeefromMinnesota

Hello Louis, would you ever consider doing a fish cuff bracelet with one big fishy? I really enjoy my single fish necklace (and the little nieces and nephews are just fascinated by it!) Great fun.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That would be fun…..it would be a challenge……no promises.

      1. Goldie76

Something “fishy” going on here. What a great new idea from “LeefromMinnesota.” I’m interested.

        1. Lee in Minnesota

Is that because you are a ‘Goldie’ fish? Sorry, just had to do that, thanks for the compliment!

          1. Goldie76

I’m not a “silverfish” (the insect — yuck!), thank heavens. Love your play on words.

  33. Judi

    Louis-
I know it’s very early in the game, but could you explain the new color of the British tan trench coat. Is it similar to the Burberry color? Darker?
    Thank you!

    1. louis dell'olio

There are many Burberry rain coats so it would be impossible for me to know which you are referring to. It’s a dark tan….more camel-ish than grey, but it isn’t camel

      1. Judi

Thank you. I think I have a good idea of what you mean. I’m so looking forward to it.

  34. Ingrid

    Hello Louis,

Is it possible to get the double strand gold ball necklace re-plated? Mine has lost a lot of its’ gold and I’m not ready to give it up yet.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Ingrid, yes it is possible to get it re-plated, but I’m not sure it will be exactly the same finish. The factory who made the necklace refused to make any more because achieving the finish was to difficult, but it will still be a lovely gold finish and better than no gold at all. Do you have the instructions on where to send it and the process? I’ve posted it a few times here on my web site.

      1. Ingrid

        Hello Louis,

I don’t have the instructions on where to send the necklace for re-plating. Would you mind posting them again? Many thanks.

        1. louis dell'olio

          Ingrid…..mail necklace to:

          Repairs Department
          C/O TCJC LLC
          3B Industrial Drive
          Smithfield, RI 02917

Enclosed write a brief letter stating you are a QVC Linea client, what needs to be done, your name and return address, and a check for $7.50 to TCJC LLC for return postage. Let me know how it works out.

  35. Joanne

    Hi Louis
The boards in your category are alive due to QVC listing two new colors in your trench – black and British tan. I own the Navy/Black – it is a beauty. When will the new trench’s arrive.

    1. louis dell'olio

Not until Sept. QVC keeps listing these fall items too early….then women wait list them and then they get cancellations because the system doesn’t hols a wait list past three months…..it’s screwy.

      1. Denise

What steps have you taken to improve your clients’ experiences at QVC’s website? Aside from the waitlist items, terrible photos, and bogus reviews, the Community banter is out of control at times with some customers coming across as extreme know-it-all snobs while other customers stir up other drama. Then there are logistic problems such as screen bouncing, getting logged out in the middle of browsing, etc. Have you addressed web issues with QVC management? It’s not exactly “convenient” or pleasurable to shop there anymore.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Denise, I don’t know what makes you think I or any vendor has any say or influence over QVC or how they run their business. I think it is a huge misconception that I or any designer can tell them what to do and how to do it. It would be the same as me telling Saks 5th Ave how to operate. There are many different departments at QVC, and I can assure you I don’t know any of the people who run them. If you have complaints about how QVC does things then you have to let them know how you feel. The more people who express your opinions the better. Numbers make a big difference…Trust me when I say your dollars speak louder than I ever could.

          1. Denise

I apologize for the misconception on my part. I thought vendors may have the opportunity to address website concerns since their sales could be affected.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Denise….I am pretty vocal with my buyers when I see something wrong, but I don’t want to come off as a constant complainer. Most of the areas of concern you mention are not part of the buying departments domain either and they have no jurisdiction in those areas. If it’s not their responsibility they can’t get involved….I’m sure you understand. I do know the way people interact on the boards was a great concern and they have taken measures to avoid any nastiness, but you can’t change the way people behave. Nothing will ever be perfect. For myself, I have learned never to go there I do read the reviews periodically on the Linea site, and sometimes I just have to shake my head, but there isn’t anything I can do about it.

  36. Tylerpoo

Louis, is the contrast color on the new black trench black or another color? What is the contrast color on the British Tan?
    Thanks

    1. louis dell'olio

The black has matching black….to do a contrast color was too tricky…..the Bristidh Tan will have black….very chic, and not a problem to mix with black, ivory or color sweaters

  37. Beryl

any Linea Leisure tops coming in navy?

    1. louis dell'olio

I don’t remember the colors….I’ll have to look

  38. Writer with Flair

Will there be any more Whisper Knits in the Alabaster color coming? I would love to get the Whisper Knit Short Sleeve Top (A267882) in that color. I hope they reorder it.

I was glad to see that QVC is adding more colors of the Lightweight Quilted Jacket (A267878). I also am hoping they reorder the Alabaster color in that style as well.

    Have a great weekend!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear WwF…..I honestly don’t know. The short sleeve sweater that came in Alabaster was supposed to be reordered, it should be reordered, but I never know what goes on.

      1. Writer with Flair

        Thanks, Louis!

I am so glad to hear that it is coming back. I got the Whisper Knit Color-Block Cardigan in the Alabaster and was hoping the sweater would be reordered. I’ll keep an eye out for it. My black Whisper Knit tops will work with the cardigan, but I think the Alabaster top really would make the outfit “pop.”

        1. louis dell'olio

you misunderstood me….I said it deserves to come back because it met all the criteria, but that’s no guarantee it will.

    2. Beryl

I LOVE that top. Have it in all colors. Would love to see more. Of course, alabaster is a wonderful color. I have every item that was offered in it.

      1. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

I agree. I love that top and have all the colors also. Even if they only restocked the current colors, I would buy another of each to have duplicates. This one sold out way too fast in my size for buying another batch once I tried on the first order! These have been an essential in my closet.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Deborah and all…..I don’t know if you all realize it, but A257382 is the exact same sweater. The difference is this one is in the original weight WK ENR and the one you are asking about is in the WK ENR medium weight. Other than that they are practically identical. The A257382 has a 100% approval rate. I believed in this basic essential sweater so much that when the first one wasn’t reordered I redid it in the med. weight making it a different style. There are many ways to skin the cat [a dreadful expression]……So, you may want to give this sweater a second look since I do not know if the alabaster one will be reordered either!

          1. Writer with Flair

Thanks, Louis. “Redesigning” that sweater in another weight was a brilliant idea. I appreciate how you work on our behalf in so many ways.

Anything that can be made in the alabaster color would be greatly appreciated. I have a pair of quilted cap toe flats and a coordinating purse that are black and alabaster. They match your alabaster things perfectly.

Will there ever be any lighter color hose or tights? (Like ivory, alabaster, white, etc.)

            1. louis dell'olio

I would love to do them, but I think the appeal would be very limited.Only very fashionable women would understand and want them, and they are not flattering on many women. I have to be careful to keep the inventories low to keep adding to the line. Otherwise the line will stagnate and they will limit the orders very significantly.

          2. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

Louis, thank you for mentioning that. I own all those also, LOL. I got those the minute they launched. Is it possible for the medium weight ENR to be fashioned with a cap sleeve – something between sleeveless and short sleeve? Yesterday I was wearing the yellow tank that was made to go with the boyfriend cardigan of the same color. That tank/shell is perhaps my all time favorite sleeveless option for warm Florida weather (that and the A232345 ribbed tank). I was thinking while I wore it that the one thing that would make it perfect would be if there was just a tad more of a shoulder/sleeve. I feel more comfortable taking off my jackets at the office if there is at least a bit of a sleeve.

            1. louis dell'olio

It would be possible. The armhole would have to finished with a tubular trim like any tank. It’s more a matter of getting the buyers to buy such a basic piece, and with a variety of tanks in inventory it’s hard to convince them to buy more.

    3. Chris/Jazzmom

I would love the V Neck L/S sweater to come out in alabaster, a nice purple or a sienna color.

  39. Beryl

I love the Linea Leisure line. Any tops coming in navy?

  40. Chris S,

    Hello,
I see there are new colors coming in the whisper knit v-neck swing cardigan. Will there be matching scoop neck tanks in the same colors? I’m especially looking forward to the mallard color. I also love red, but I’m hoping the new scarlet isn’t too orange-red.
Speaking of red…my new red Kate shirt arrived. Very nice shade of red!
    Thank you!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Chris….there will be no matching tanks. I did them the last time around in the heather gray, raspberry and marine blue, but not mant seemed to want thew matching tank so they didn’t buy them….I would recommend black, gray or ivory tanks. The scarlet is not an orange red.

      1. Lyn

I bought the matching tanks for the swing sweaters (marine blue and raspberry). Now, I’m so glad I have them!

        1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Me TOO! And also darn glad I have them. Love to have the matching capacity if I want it and love these tanks as “vests”!

  41. Judy

Someone posted about the new quilted jacket offered in only alabaster and black is now showing new colors of Scarlett red, navy and olive. They are posted but still on wait list. Can you show us pictures of the new colors? Will the black and alabaster be returning? I missed the alabaster first time around. Thank you.

    1. louis dell'olio

These are not due until September and I have no samples and won’t until Aug. I don’t know if they are reordering the black or alabaster, since this decision to reorder this was made yesterday, and the orders haven’t been received yet.

      1. WNYGal/April

Oh, boy, olive! AND I have the olive WK mock T to go with! I can’t believe I’m talking about fall clothes in Jan., especially with a nor’easter bearing down. But at least it’s not Buffalo, which makes for a nice change. Stay warm.

  42. Gayle

Louis, will the new LLpants in taupe match/go with the new hoodie in taupe w/black trim? That would make a cute outfit.

    1. louis dell'olio

      Yes….just posted the sneak peeks

    2. Nicklaus1

Just re posting as it may be lost below. Louis, you mentioned in earlier post that QVC decided not to reorder A267878. Today I noticed 3 new colors of A267878 listed on waitlist (red, navy and olive). Is this correct or an error on QVC’s part?

      1. louis dell'olio

Dear Nicklaus…it is not an error. I found out TODAY that the jacket was being reordered so to hear it has been posted already is amazing. It’s a long story. An item that was put on clearance was put on clearance by mistake….it was actually supposed to be a REORDER item! Through some clerical error this mistake happened. Once an item is on clearance it can not then be reordered and sold at the original price….so this very popular item is now lost as a reorder item. I had a discussion today with the buyer about replacing it with the quilted jacket, but I had no idea they would make such a speedy decision….I guess they did, because as you say the new colors are listed. I have to say if I had to choose between the item that was to be a reorder and the quilted jacket…I’m happy it’s the quilted jacket. It’s too good an item to loose and everyone loved it….so I’m happy about the situation. It will be avail in Sept.

  43. MadameDuFiffers

    Hi again Louis,

New colors starting to load into Q’s system on the swing cardigan.

Will there be new colors for the original swing sweater and the TN swing? If so, when?

    TIA

    Madame

    1. louis dell'olio

my guess is yes, but confirmed orders have not been received so I can’t answer.

      1. MadameDuFiffers

Praying that your guess is correct LOL!! Thanks!
        Madame

      2. Goldie76

Speaking of colors, I received an oldie but goodie yesterday — your “Whisper Knit Long-Sleeve Scoopneck Top” (A237410) in fuchsia — and if one color ever announced your genius for color, it is your fuchsia.

If only I could live in a Linea-fuchsia colored world. It is one of the best colors (for my coloring) that you ever created! I wish more fuchsia pieces were coming in WK, but I know that this particular collection is the end of the line.

        1. MadameDuFiffers

I’m with you, Goldie. Louis’ fuchsia is beautiful. I have A262032 (WK sweater with front seam detail) in fuchsia that I just love, wear often, and get many compliments on the color. We love your fuchsia, Louis!
          Madame

          1. Goldie76

            Dear Madame,

You just made a sale for Louis — cha-ching! I never knew there was another fuchsia sweater out there other than my personal all-time favorite from the Linea line, the “Whisper Knit Faux Wrap Top with Rib Trim” (A237407). (I bought that style in every color.) Of course I have the matching fuchsia WK skirt. Whatta color!

            1. louis dell'olio

Goldie…..I want you to know even thought they are both called Fuchsia, and technically they are, they are not the same color. The surplus is a winter fuchsia…..deeper and darker…..the tunic sweater is lighter and therefore a little brighter….it is still a beautiful season-less color.

            2. Goldie76

              Dear Louis,

How much I appreciate your honesty! Truly, I do. I think I will still like the color. By next week I’ll see how it looks on me. Thanks again!

              Goldie

            3. MadameDuFiffers

You’ll love it, Goldie. The fuchsia sweater you have is too short for me [insert crying emotie!]
              Madame

  44. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

I thought I remembered that these marvelous Linea Leisure pants were coming another month out or so. Hoping to see a sneak peek of the 2 new colors – taupe and grey.

These pants and the Leisure boot skirts are my 2 favs in this particular collection. I know you said the skirt didn’t do as well as hoped so I guess I’ll have to give up my day dreams of the boot skirt in Linea Leisure white :/ Have doubles of the 2 colors in the skirt and doubles of all 3 colors in the pants and wore them through spring, summer and into fall last year.

    1. Beryl

      Louis,
Is it possible to post a photo of the taupe and grey in the leisure pants?

  45. Chris/Jazzmom

The Petite Leisure pants are up for ordering including the new gray & taupe colors.V8

    1. Seka

The ‘Regular’ option is now also available for ordering – A262070. Some sizes win the new colours Taupe and Grey re showing ‘Sold Out’ (maybe the Q hasn’t loaded everything as yet) – but the majority of sizes are available.

I LOVE these Pants – have all the previous colours – will order both of the new colours!

      1. Grace

I LOVE these pants, too. Thanks for the heads up, JJM!

  46. MadameDuFiffers

    Hi Louis,

    Two questions:

    (1) Will either of the fish necklaces be back in silver (or any new fish necklaces in silver)? and

    (2) Anything coming up in pebbled crepe? If so, what, when, colors!!

    Thanks.

    Madame

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

We are discussing what to do next with the fish pendant….nothing has been decided yet. There will be one piece in the pebble crepe for summer……it is a sleeveless button front tunic in three colors……but it is too early to give more info than that.

      1. MadameDuFiffers

        Thanks!

  47. Grace

    Dear Louis,

My family is headed to London this Friday for my daughter’s graduation (very exciting!)and every piece I packed in my Tumi weekender bag (except a dress) is LINEA, including the jewelry. My anchors are your pants and maxi skirt in black, white Kate shirt, WK v-neck, posh knit cardigans/tanks/scarves, 2 sets of black jet beads, black & ivory posh knit t-necks. I bring along silk scarves and wear a long wool gabardine black trench and I’m good-to-go. I like to travel light and I used to dread packing for a trip–it was a challenge pulling together packable, but elegant pieces. LINEA has made all the difference 🙂

    1. louis dell'olio

Have a wonderful trip. Your selection sounds great and very varied for any occasion.

      1. Grace

Thanks, Louis! Whenever I’m on a trip, I always get complimented on your clothing, and ONLY your clothing!!

        1. Goldie76

          Grace,

I have found that my Linea wardrobe items attract the most compliments, making me question my taste when I’m free to range the wide world of fashion and make choices unassisted by Louis’s excellent taste.

Have a safe and satisfying trip!

          1. Grace

Well said, Goldie. And, thank you for the good wishes!

          2. Joanne

            Grace
I agree! Over the recent holidays I packed mostly Linea. I always get compliments also. Louis’s clothes,NE besides being lovely looking, are so packable.

  48. Rochelle

    Dear Louis,

Would your rose tone love knot necklace blend well with 14kt and 18kt rose gold? I can’t bring up a picture of the metal color. I know the watch has a more copper base. I’ve seen some rosetones take on chocolate hues.

    Thank you.

    1. louis dell'olio

I don’t know, but the the gold love knots are very pink to me

  49. Judy

I bought A268130 W.N. V-Neck Sweater and wanted to know if you have a shell or camisole in that burgundy color that I could wear under the top, it is a little low for me. I also bought the black and wear a black camisole under it, I love this top.

    1. louis dell'olio

No I don ‘t have a burgundy shell. Wear a shell the coordinates with your bottom. Black pant , black shell, burgundy sweater. It’s more interesting than matching the sweater.

  50. Jane

    Louis,
I have your Quilted Lightweight Jacket A267878 in black (which I LOVE) and was on waitlist for months for the Alabaster in my size. I have received a letter from QVC stating they had removed me from waitlist because the Alabaster is no longer available in my size.
Will you be bringing it back in more sizes ? LOVE, LOVE, this jacket !!!
    Thanks,
    Jane

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Jane….the jacket will not be coming back? They decided not to reorder it??Budgets I guess

      1. Nicklaus1

Today I noticed 3 new colors of A267878 listed on waitlist (red, navy and olive). Is this correct or an error since you mentioned QVC decided not to reorder?

  51. Joanne

    Hi Louis
I am a huge fan of your Linea slim ankle pull on pant(A265615). I own multiples of the Lt. Khaki, black and navy. You already indicated in previous postings that they are being reordered in black, gray and olive. When will this reorder be offered on QVC. Also is the gray a charcoal or a regular gray?
    Thanks

    1. louis dell'olio

They are due sometime in April, but I don’t know exactly when they will be avail. I would call the grey a med./dark grey, not pale and not as dark as a charcoal.

  52. Artis

Dear Louis- I love your fashion line at QVC and have several pieces. I have a question. I purchased a black wool boucle pencil skirt item # A85618 some years ago. I remember I purchased it because you said the item would not be returning because it was becoming too expensive to bring back to QVC. I was wondering what type of top would you recommend to wear with this boucle pencil skirt. I guess it would be one of your “vintage pieces ” now.

  53. Goldie76

Was absolutely floored to see that the “Simulated Gemstone 48″ Necklace” (J264037) was up for clearance! Of course I bought a second. What is the world coming to?

    1. Grace

I agree, Goldie! This gorgeous necklace is one of my favorites–love the entire Byzantine group. And, like you, I just ordered a second one.

      1. Goldie76

So glad I’m not alone in this one, Grace. This piece has ALWAYS thrilled me. To miss out on this necklace, I think, is to miss out on one of the finest Linea pieces, ever.

  54. Lee in Minnesota

    Dear Mr. D’O,
I must have 20+ Linea jewelry items, I’ve lost count, and I just decided to order an additional set of the 4 bead earrings J317109. They go with so many of your necklaces I reach for them often. It got me thinking: What if I lost one? Horrors! Maybe I should have a set in my car for the times I forget to put on earrings? Why don’t I keep a set in my luggage? Wonder if Louis will have more items that will coordinate with these? This set is so affordable, wearable and beautiful it just makes sense to have them. The real purpose of this rambling is to encourage my fellow Linea Ladies who own your necklaces to check these out and get them while they are still available!
Best to you, Jac and all Linea Ladies in 2016.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Lee, I couldn’t agree with you more. That was the total purpose for me doing these earrings. “Go to” earrings. When you’re not sure what earring to wear with a necklace or you have a statement necklace and you just want a little something on the ear….or these become your every day earring just to feel complete. Besides the Linea Gold and Linea Silver colors the Gunmetal and Chocolate are not easy colors to find in a minimal earring……Yes, I will have more jewelry in the coming months to go with these earrings. You are so right to get back ups, as these will not be reordered.

  55. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

Although I provided a late review of your “Tapered Crystal Earrings” (J317111) the other day, I wrote it up before receiving your clearance-priced versions in goldtone and silvertone. (They arrived yesterday.) I wish I had waited to write that review. [Uttered breathlessly] The latest arrivals are more gorgeous than the gunmetal that I bought first! Really, the stones show up better in the gold- and silvertones, and the actual craftsmanship shows to better advantage. Such sparkle! Once again, I am baffled that something as beautiful as this item has lingered on the shelves. You are a master craftsman, that’s all I can say.

    1. louis dell'olio

I don’t think many women understand that these pieces I offer are designed and not bought from some factory…..therefore each piece goes through design stages which I oversee….that’s my pleasure. The end result is a quality product with wonderful details.

    2. Rochelle

I’m on the fence about which color to get. I had thought gunmetal, but now, if the others are sparkler, I just don’t know! I’m very pinkish-fair with true ashy light to mid-brown chin-length curly hair. What would be most unique?

      1. louis dell'olio

when in doubt get Gold. It looks great in gold.

        1. Rochelle

Thank you. Are the posts nickel-free?

  56. luvitorleaveit

Hi Louis once again you have done it again! I got my goodies the chestnut/fuchsia jacket is perfect in every way and I love the pants in chestnut with the fuschia top to pull it all together this is a very versatile outfit; the material is wonderful and soft and the workmanship is excellent. The lemon hoodie is great too I love the pockets on both my jackets and everything fits perfectly and looks like I paid so much more.

    1. louis dell'olio

YEAH! I’m happy you’re happy! Please don’t forget to leave your reviews. I always read the reviews to see the comments….some I get some are bewildering?! but the PTB to look at the ratings.

Just clicked on your link, Kate, and you are absolutely right!

Sorry to run a second post right after the first, but I was so excited about the red Kate shirt that I forgot why I came here to send you a message. Last weekend I was moving my summer clothes from one closet to another and was carrying my special collection of your polished cotton pencil skirts – and, I was thinking about how much of a mainstay they are in my wardrobe. I have the medallion print, the status chain print, the hydrangea print…and on. Pretty much every one you ever offered. I love those skirts. They are my preferred choice come warm weather. With a light T, a cardigan and flats they make the perfect office outfit. Change out to gauzy tunics, sandals and fun accessories and they are great for casual and leisure. In short, I love those skirts. I know the buyers are all about leisure wear right now, but do you think there might come along a new print in a pencil skirt like those early ones?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Deborah, as of now no. The buyers are all about performance and since none of the skirts you mentioned, all of which I love too, did well enough to reorder there has not been great enthusiasm to bring more in……but never say never.

      1. Grace

        Dear Louis,

Does this mean most of what we’ll see in the future is leisure wear? And, Happy New Year to you and Jac!

        1. louis dell'olio

          Actually no….there’s a good mix.

      2. louis dell'olio

I meant to say “did NOT do well enough to reorder”

Louis, I watched you on Q-Plus last night. That red Kate shirt is awesome! I am so ready for that one! I even ordered the navy/ivory cardigan so that I can replicate the outfit. Thanks for your sneak peaks. I would have been disappointed to see that outfit later when I could get the red shirt…but then find I couldn’t get that combo in the cardigan in my size. Now I have it on its way to hold in reserve for the red shirt. Thanks for all you do for us Linea Ladies.

Do you have a line up for your show on the 11th?

    1. louis dell'olio

I should get it today…..I will also be on the FEW show that same morning. There won’t be anything new, but there should be some clearance items on some good things.

  62. MadameDuFiffers

    Hi Louis,

I just stopped by to wish you and Jac a belated Happy New Year. I hope your holidays were warm and memorable.

I’ve been wearing my black and imp violet swing sweaters a lot lately…I just love them and hope to see it back in new colors as well as the TN swing sweater, which I didn’t get because there were no colors I could wear (is it too early for information on reorders of each sweater and colors?)

Also, at your recommendation, I ordered the walnut/mulberry peek-a-boo (my name for it) WK sweater and have worn it so much I’m shocked. The darker brown is a color I now look for whereas before your recommendation I would not have thought this a good color for this grey haired lady. Thanks!!

Can’t wait to see what you have up next for us.

    Madame

Dear Judy….no need to eat crow! I’m sure it doesn’t taste good…LOL I can understand the skepticism about the length. 29 inches doesn’t seem to be long enough for my 5’9″ ladies and above. When Jac tried them on for me and said they were plenty long even for her 5’10 1/4″ body, and she has long legs…..we were both surprised. I always have Jac try on a new style pant, and even though she isn’t your typical customer, she can easily compare one to the other according to how they all fit her. Judy, I am so please you are happy with the pant!> Please do not forget to leave your reviews , and to let the other women know how much you like them.It does help. Many women were waiting for reviews before they decided to buy.

Happy New Year Louis, I am writing to let you know I am happily eating crow and to offer an apology. I was one of the first to moan about the new Leisure slim leg pants being only 29 inch inseam. I went ahead and ordered one black and one navy just knowing I would have to return them. I received them today and I just love them. You and Jac were right they are perfect! I immediately went back to order more and sad to say the black is sold out in my size but I did order another navy, 2 Fogs, and 2 Chestnuts. Thank you for creating so many beautiful leisure (my life style)garment. I should get my 4 new hoodies tomorrow (hope I can sleep tonight). Your devoted follower, Judy
