Dear Louis,
Will there be more color choices of the pearl necklace (J264035) in the near future? They are my favorite pieces of jewelry in your line.
Thank you,
Alice Speelman
No…..I don’t foresee any reorders on that necklace
Hi Louis,
Thinking about what kind of overlay top to put over the crepe gauze sleeveless dress — how about some sort of print open cardigan in the same gauze fabric? What got me thinking about it was the ‘Lotus’ print tank with matching open cardigan you had in bamboo and blush pink shade you designed from several years ago. This could be created for next year for this gauze dress.
Thanks for listening,
Chris
Louis, I ordered my A263353 tunic the minute it posted. It’s still “in processing” and I’m excited to see it arrive next week (I hope). I chose the blue. Those are my colors. I especially liked the smokey quality to the ombre. I hope this tunic gets reordered and I’d like to put in a vote for a coral and/or yellow combination then. BTW, I’m wearing my moss crepe hi-low hem top today (LUV!) with two of your new wire-cuff bracelets stacked (the matte gold and the chocolate). I love these bracelets. I’d pay more if needed to get more of these. Just saying. I guess QVC wouldn’t reorder the same item if they had to raise the selling price. Maybe you would consider doing a VERY similar design that would enable QVC to price it higher to make the product a done deal? As much as I wear these bracelets, I’d pay $35 easily for more colors. I need matte silver, gun metal, and glossy white for sure.
Love the new pics! Will the new Aqua ombre tunic A263353 go with the new whisper knit grey skirt coming up in the fall? Thanks -looking forward to owning a new tunic!!!
since I don’t have the sample I can’t be sure.
What would you suggest in a skirt to match?
Debby….I’m not sure what you want a skirt to match?
Louis, I love the multi bead necklace in blue and natural item # J329563. I was really surprised that I absolutely love the earrings and have been wearing them on their own without the necklace for a more casual look ( ofcourse I adore the necklace too). I was wondering what necklace would you put with the earrings for a more casual look. THankyou. I love the gauchos also, I have worn the black ones 2X already and look very chic in them.
Dear Nikki….of course whatever you put them with will never look like a matched set, but that’s OK. I think they would work with the following necklaces….J329558 in black, J296893 in the gold and J321805 in the gold.
Will there be any moss crepe pants coming? If so, will they be in Petite and Regular inseams or just one Regular length? Letter or numerical sizing? Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Chris
Oh YES….and they are beauties….they are due in July and I guarantee these will be the third hit pants of the season. They are simple pull on style, no pockets….nice flowing leg…not extremely wide, but not narrow….They will be offered in one length only.Sorry, not my doing, but offering petites means the the budget would have to be bigger.
Sounds wonderful 🙂
Can’t wait to see these! Thank you.

Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Lace Jacket with Trim Detail–late to the party on this jacket. I have been hearing the Linea ladies rave about this jacket for years! And I thought-nah, it’s too sweet or it’s too preppy or its too something. I’d never wear it…But, I have learned when the L ladies go on and on about one of your pieces for years–I better just try it once. Well in the past few weeks I have gone from one in black to inviting three more of various colors to join the party. I find I’m wearing these incredible little lace sweater/jackets with just about everything. I like them with sun dresses, jeans, skirts, and your slim pants. Who knew this was so versatile. And, did I mention soft–OMG this lace is scrumptious! Ok now I want more colors…a darker pink color, olive ( to go with your olive slim pants), and brown.
Okay, so like with the skort, I decided to trust you LDO and ordered the new gauze dress despite my misgivings about the higher neckline. Of course, it’s fabulous and exactly what I need in summer clothes that go from desk to dinner to weekend events. Just so happy I scooped it up in black (but going back for Alabaster, too). My only minor complaint is that I would have loved pockets!
If we’re lucky enough to have this back next year, navy would be nice!
Kate I agree completely! I have never had a swing dress before. Thought they always looked like a tent on me. But I knew I loved the fabric. So I got one in black to try it. Amazingly, it is flattering and not tent like. I really like the cut of the shoulders and v neck.
Oh and I also like those darn little lace jackets with this new dress too.
Ditto -in Linea ‘Navy’ please!
Dear Louis,
I am convinced that you are a GENIUS!
I wrote before with misgivings about the length of the new milano knit skirt. I am tall (5″7″) and usually look for 25″ as my minimun skirt length. At 23.25″, this skirt just seemed too short and I was afraid it would hit above my knees-a bad length for me at my age. You urged me to try it and I took your advice and ordered the ivory color. Surprize-I am able to wear the skirt a little “below’ my natural waist and it hits me in just the right spot. Perfection-from the front and back.
My happiness was completed with the arrival of the lt khaki wk cardigan. Wow-what a smashing look! I also ordered and received the lt khaki gauze tunic-perfection.
As I age, I am finding it challenging to shop for clothes that are classic and fashionable. I was a stay-at-home mom in the 70’s, cool in the 80’s, corporate in the 90’s and retired since the early 2000’s. Now, I want my clothes to reflect how I respect my age and experience. I don’t want to dress like I did as a younger woman-been there, done that. With my growing Linea collection, your clothes help me look appropriately put-together and modern.
Thank-you for your efforts,
Mary
Dear Mary….you are very welcome. I am so glad the skirt worked for you. You are going to wear it more then you thought!
Hi Louis I have been out of commission due to my knee replacement but I am recovering well. I wore my leisure pieces to and from the the hospital and I could not have been more fashionably comfortable. Your fabulous show was the day before my surgery and I made sure I ordered prior to being pumped up with drugs, but can you believe I just received some of my items these past two days?? I love my alabaster and pink crepe dress it’s a beautiful basic lightweight dress that drapes beautifully. I’m not sure why some ladies were expecting a fancy out of the box dress this can be dressed up or down with the right accessories you kept it simple and I thank you, this is my first to grab and go or I’ve run out of options. I love my WK ivory/taupe cardigan double zip major plus I wear my WK year round. I don’t know what else I am missing will need to check my order history but QVC’s Linea delivery is very poor and I say that because I only have problems when I order Linea and boy do I have some nightmare stories.lol
Dear Louis,
My black gaucho pants arrived today and they are a WINNER! I, like many others would like to see the new colors of the high/low tunic.
Thanks,
Dariann
Hello Louis- I am new to QVC and your line, but I was watching last week when you showed that cardigan with the double zipper that is so professional looking. I want to buy it, but I am unsure what size I should purchase. I am 31 years old with no kids so I still have a young body. I have 33in. chest and 27in. waist, but a 38in. hip because my legs and butt are muscular. I do have some fat storage on the “saddlebag” area but not excessive. I am 5’9″ and, all in all, I am very slender. So you if could, please answer that about the sweater. I also want to buy a skirt but what size would you recommend in your pencil skirts. Thank you very much, and I just adore your designs!
Hi Samantha Jo, I have been wearing Linea for 10 years to work, and I always look professional, and I am SO COMFORTABLE!!! Whisper Knit is a dream come true. The slim pants are flattering but not too tight fitting. I don’t know how LDO does it! I am wearing the pink double zip cardigan right now! It’s a winner!
I think you should try XS for the length; you might prefer XXS if you have narrow shoulders. When I am not sure I order both sizes and return the one I don’t like; the extra shipping is annoying but after doing that a few times I really learned what sizes work for me. One of my favorite outfits is the black swing whisper knit cardigan with the black slim pants; also try the alabaster and black colorblock cardigan with the alabaster whisper knit shell (or the new gauze crepe) and the black slim pants…and don’t forget the boho skirt; a summer staple. Everything is super high quality…and washes beautifully… Welcome!
Thank you! I love all the advice!
Dear Samantha Jo…I would say the xxs. Don’t forget it’s a TWO WAY ZIP so don’t worry about the hips. You should leave the bottom unzipped part of the way anyway it looks more modern.Only if you are very well proportioned or slim hips should anyone zip it all the way down
Thank you for the quick reply. I can see why so many people just adore you and your clothes!
Good Morning! The 3/4 sleeve high-low tunic (A263353) is up for ordering in Peacock, Aqua and Pink in all sizes.
I missed this last time around-never came back in Peacock in my size. Needless to say, I have already placed my order…no advance delivery date and no waitlist!! Since I am still waiting for my orders from 5/9, hoping the “processing” on this will be quicker.
YEAH!!!!!
Dear Louis,
You mentioned that the aqua and pink are not standard pastels.
Can you please show us the colors of the hi low tunic a263353?
Thank you in advance,
Debra
Hi Debra. I want to order both also but I am not sure of the colors. Thanks Louis, in advance.
Also, Louis, which gray pants will go best with these tops?
The reorder slim pant in the new grey, the new Capri legging all work well.
How about the grey feather jersey pant? I’m excitedly looking forward to the new concoctions. The shades found in those Technicolor Tops from last year made that piece one of your Greatest Hits.
I’m in NYC this week so it will have to wait until the end of the week.
Thank you Louis. Can’t wait!
Thanks Louis. Enjoy the city. Just watch out while you are walking on the sidewalks! You have to constantly dodge people due to their phones. Stay well.
The traffic in the city today was a NIGHTMARE! A cop shot someone and the whole west side [where I was] was a mess the entire day. Sometimes I really can’t stand the city.
Dear Louis,
I just received the Milano WK skirts today, which I thought would be too short for me at 23 inches, but for some reason, they fit! I don’t know how this is even possible, but the length hits at mid-knee!! I sized up, so maybe that made a difference? I got the Ivory and Black and I love these knit skirts much more than the many St John skirts I own. These are denser and softer and the fit is perfection. I’m so glad I took a chance! Now, I wish I’d gotten the pink…Do you expect to be bringing these back? Having this skirt in Alabaster would be nice.
I’ve also received the WK Chanel-like cardigan (ordered all three colors) and the gaucho pants in black, so far, and I’m so happy with them both! I didn’t expect the cardigan to swing so easily between casual and dressy–it’s so versatile. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. And, the gaucho/cropped pants are long and in the moss crepe fabric, they are so light I barely know I have them on. Light as a feather & perfect for warmer weather. I expedited shipment and so glad I did…QVC shipments are a little slow. I’m still waiting for most of my order from 5/9, but I know it will all be wonderful. What a spectacular Spring season! Just had to share 🙂
Dear Grace I am so pleased that you like everything you have received, and especially the WK skirt which is a key building block and coordinate for so many outfits….How tall are you?….It is way too early to know if the skirt will be reordered. It usually takes three full months for them to decide…..I agree Alabaster would be perfect….Please let the women know how you found the length of the skirt since many, including yourself, were concerned.
Well, as for height…I think I’m 5’9″, but my doctor’s office says I’m 5’10”. Two years in a row! I’m not complaining, but it is strange to have grown all of a sudden! Thought we were suppose to shrink with age 😉
I will definitely share my experience with everyone on the forum. I received the moss crepe skirt in black a few days ago–also 23 inches in length–and that was above the knee. So, my takeaway…sometimes it’s just best to try it and see.
Same thing happened with Jac and I….we grew 1/2 inch….on my part width wise I can understand….but in height was a surprise to both of us.
I think our doctor’s offices must be using the same scale! Or, we’re taking the same vitamins 🙂
Louis,
When showing the seed bead necklaces, there was a new color for the whisper knit–Butter.
Did I miss it or might it still be coming?
Looked like a scoop neck T and an open 3/4 sleeve sweater.
Tell me more!
If you are talking about the natural seed bead necklace that is still avail…. those WK pieces are vintage. The open front cardigan may still be avail on clearance and there are two styles, the v neck tank and scoop neck short sleeve that were avail in butter, but I’m not sure of the status of these pieces now.
Dear Louis,
I recorded the May show although I couldn’t watch live and it was gorgeous. I’m sure the women on the forum are talking about this being the best spring collection ever. IMHO fabrics and style reached a new high, specifically that “Chanel” sweater, the dress, tank and crepe jacket. For us who can scramble to grab your DESIGNER ITEMS before they sell out, you bring such JOY ! Wish they would increase the volume so EVERYONE could experience the quality we do, but I’m sure if that happened, Linea would soon X out ALL the other lines.
Cela
Thank you Cela…I believe Linea has its’ slot in the scheme of things. How much can one person buy….LOL
Funny thing, that’s what my husband keeps asking! (Just kidding.)
How much can one DESIGNER DESIGN? LOL !
Has anyone received A273862 the new Moss Crepe 3/4 sleeve top premiered on May 9th? I would like to know about the scoop neck (is it too low?) and all the other details. Reviews seem to take a few days online, so if you have received your order, I would love to hear what you think.
Thanks!
Hi Louis
Other than the alabaster swing cardigan coming late summer early fall, are you planning anymore alabaster items for the future?
Like an alabaster ENR slim/pencil skirt?
Ditto!!!!
Double ditto.
Tylerpoo, thank you so much for the suggestion of using the shell from the crinkle safari set in PP with the new PP cardigan that sings of CC. I will do that!
Tripled ditto…but in a 27-inch length 🙂
Yes – at least 27 inch length, Please.
I’m not sure I can offer a 27 inch length unless they bought two lengths. On a petite a 27 inch skirt would hit at the lower calf. I think 25 is the longest I can go for a pencil skirt.
I’d be happy with 25 inches…it’s the 23-inch skirts I can’t do. 20 years ago, I could rock them, but those days are over 😉
WOWEE!!! I purchased the Milano whisper knit skirts and the Whisper Knit Zip Front Cardigans (A273879) in all 3 colours and all I can say is “GIVE ME MORE … pretty, please”. I love the look but I was stunned when I tried the cardigans with my black whisper knit t-neck and black whisper knit pants – I think I was channeling Coco Chanel!!! Gorgeous!!! Thank you.
Dear Merrylass….that sounds wonderful….now your ready for the spring …and the winter!…..don’t forget to leave your reviews, and let everyone know how they fit.
It’s really disappointing about the seed bead necklaces. But, I was always taught that the best things come to those who wait. And wait I will.
Having the time of my life with all the lovely “boho skirts and crinkle shirt” sets I have purchased. White, turq, black, pink and lavender.
Loving the versatility of the shirts and wearing with capris, jeans and pants, belted or not.
Thank you for such high quality, lovely designs.
Enjoy your new things!
Dear Louis
I just received my Egyptian necklace and earring set in blue. I love it! Would you be able to make a wide cuff to go with this?
Thank you for all the work you put into your line of clothing and jewelry, it is much appreciated.
Dear Louis,
I just now received — and tried on — my Whisper Knit Zip Front Cardigans (A273879), and I could not have asked for anything more. CC, take that! I’ve got Linea AND more money in my pocket. Interestingly, the pink one was a tad roomier than the black one, but maybe that was by design. No one wants pink, even it is PP, sticking to the body. These are true masterpieces: They are clean of line and not fussy but have such an elegant look. May I submit a request for navy for next year? The cardigan is a success, in my book. Thank you!!!
Dear Goldie, I couldn’t be more pleased that you are happy with the sweaters. I also am not surprised that one sweater could be slightly bigger than the other. There are lots of reasons for this. First darker colors absorb more dye to reach the depth of color making the yarn more “swollen” than paler colors. This can make the garment feel thicker and a little less stretchy. Also, when each panel is pressed before the garment is put together….it can happen that one sweater is slightly bigger than another even in the same color….there is a tolerance that is accepted…..there can be a difference but it should not be a large one…….enjoy!
I just got my gauchos, omg it’s beautiful but it’s too big 😂. Please tell me more will be ordered.
I refuse to send these back unless more come in lol I need a large.
Thank you.
Dear Danielle, not this season….everything has been shipped, can the elastic be tighten or is it too big all over?
It’s big all over but I have a seamstress who is great. I will take it to him and see what he says. I refuse to send it back its so well made and beautiful.
Hello —
Just a quick fashion note for the Linea ladies. I was shopping for some Marc Fisher shoes on QVC and noticed that in the video for A275906 (Marc Fisher Fringe Leather Lace Up sandals) one of the models appears to be wearing A276292, Louis’ Drawstring Shirt Dress in spice. The shoe/dress combination looked very cute, if it’s your style.
And on another fashion note, I was looking at some of the Cannes Film Festival fashion. Some of the dresses were beautiful. I thought Amal Clooney looked lovely and not just because she had George on her arm (smile). However, there were other women to whom I wanted to say, “Excuse me, but I believe you forgot to wear your pants today!”
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Michelle
Louis – this is not a question and I might be a late-comer to this, but I just noticed some of your fashions are now offered on Zulily, and at wonderful prices, I might add. I was thrilled when I saw your clothing line listed and immediately scooped up a few items. So excited!
Dear Neena…..since QVC owns zulily they are putting some product there at reduced prices. It seems they will be doing it with many vendors. All I know is the people who run zulily requested Linea.
I just ordered three pieces that were not available in my size on QVC at a very reduced price. On Zuilly. Why? My only guess is that there are no returns on Zuilly.
Of course they requested Linea. It’s the best of what QVC offers.
Dear Louis,
They say that men choose women who remind them of their mother. If Jac doesn’t have YOUR MOTHER”S eyes, I don’t know who does. She looks like she was the sweetest woman, someone you want for your best girlfriend, whose fun to hang with…someone you could trust with your secrets. I worshiped my mother, too. Happy belated MOTHER”S DAY to Jac AND “the girls.
ciao. Cela
Going forward for fall, will there be print poly/ spandex tops available? I still am bummed about no maxi dresses for summer availability.
Dear Chris….no, they didn’t want them. I don’t know what the reason is, but there isn’t much I can do about it. I guess they are buying prints from other labels?
Does this mean that there will be no new color(s) in the ombre high-low top that I like to call “The Technicolor Tunic”? You had mentioned that there would be several new colors ending with a grey at the bottom.
I yearn for the style and cut of your medallion and hydrangea top days. My favorite look.
Goldie, I have A263353, the high-low ombre top, bookmarked (AKA Favorites) and quickly check for availability every day. This top is awesome.
It’s planned for the June show so it will probably be a few days before the 8th
Yes there are two new…the original blue/turq was reordered and a new aqua/grey and pink/grey, but they aren’t your typical pastel colors
The colors in the original blue/turq were next to divine. They could transport you to the land of incredibly beautiful things. It was as though Bora Bora had been captured in a top. Really something to behold. If someone out there did not pick that selection up last year, I encourage her to do so this year. Thank you, Louis.
Louis,
my measurements fall right into the 12/14 on your list. I have been ordering L as I wear clothing loose compared to tight. For this ombre high low tunic, which I love, do you recommend the M or the L? Given your understanding of the cut and sweep, I would really appreciate your help. (before I order/return/pay s/h twice etc)
thanks so much,
Debra
Dear Debra…..many of the women here own this top and could give you better advise then me…..From what you heave said, and the fact that your measurements fall right between and you prefer a loose fit I would think you would like a L better, but again, perhaps someone here could give you a better answer.
Good morning Louis! I ordered all 3 of the new WK summer cardigan. The shorter pencil skirt does not work for me. I’m a huge fan of the 27 inch pencil and the mid-calf pencil. Would you advise regarding others of your marvelous SKIRTS as to options to wear with these cardigans? For example, what about the Linea ivory pleated skirt of some years back? The boho in ivory – also vintage? Does the “white” Linea faux wrap georgette work – another vintage piece? Might the Perfectly Pink work with the Linea 27 inch perfectly pink acrylic knit pencil in a tonal way, or no? I guess it’s a volume question as much as a color question. Thoughts?
Dear Nancy…The Ivory boho and pleated skirts should work quite well. The wool acrylic 27 inch pencil in P.Pink and black does work….the P Pink are a little different [slightly darker] but tonally they are good. I don’t have the faux wrap in white, but if the white doesn’t look good with any ivory WK you have then no go……Also the new Crepe Gauze pant in black looks sensational with the cardigans and lots of pearls….very CC
Very big thanks Louis for the expert advice!
Louis, your show was so delightful and fun. I never feel like anyone is selling me anything when I’m watching your shows. I feel like it’s just a personal fashion show for me and I get to pick whatever I want to have at home. Of course I am not forgetting about the paying part, but honestly, the price for the quality is just a no-brainer. I try to resist, but as you would say, who wouldn’t want to look like this? I’m trying the gauchos and finally broke down for the skort (in chocolate). Today I wore your drawstring pants in gray with the A251586 anorak in charcoal. I looked like I spent a fortune. Thank you for sharing your vision with us.
crdlb
Carol,
I love this thought that you wrote: “Thank you for sharing your vision with us.” That is, in the end, what is going on.
Nancy,
The possibility of the “ivory pleated skirt” came to my mind, too. But maybe the one I’m thinking of is a different one; I am thinking of the one that has a slightly tan cast to it that was offered about three years ago. It was very dreamy-looking. Can’t wait for Louis’s response to that.
Hello Louis,
I’m in love with your new WK sweaters. My question is do you think I can go down a size if I want it shorter? I like the length of your lace jackets. I plan on buying the pink and tan in S, but on the fence if I should go down a size. I will be wearing them with your lovely boho skirts. Black with the pink and ivory with the tan. Would greatly appreciate your opinion.
Thank you,
-zoe
Dear ZOE….not knowing what you look like I hesitate to give you that kind answer. It really depends on your body type. I’m assuming you are talking about the zip front cardigan? Are your shoulders narrow? Is your bust on the small side? Where do you carry your weight? Do you plan to wear anything under it [it isn’t necessary to layer the cardigan with anything].Is the difference in the length between the sizes that big a difference to risk going sown a size. These are all factors on whether you could go down a size. The every needle rib is very stretchy, but you don’t want to have it stretch over the body more then it should because it could look too tight. The fact that it is a double zip will help in case it’s a little small over the hip area….just unzip it from the bottom up [I prefer it worn that way anyway].You should compare the measurements of this sweater with others you own to make your final decision. The models were all wearing their correct size, and they did seem to fit properly, but again it depends on your body type. If you have worn both sizes it may work to go down one size, but you must compare the measurements with other WK you like the fit of..
Louis, will there be any more perfectly pink WK tops coming? Please………….! Also milano WK skirts in navy, green/olive, red, lt. blue this skirt is perfection and I missed out on the black.
Anyone sending back a small black please let me know. Will be stalking forever.
Tylerpoo, for the last two days I have been snooping everywhere for a scoop neck or V-neck short sleeve Perfectly Pink WK sweater.
How about it, Louis? Anything like that coming our way?
Dear Goldie, I wish I could say yes, but the answer is no….the closest thing to that would be the jewel neck s/s sweater that came in Alabaster and black that I’m pushing them to reorder for Jan. The WK sweater that I sketched similar to your suggestion was not chosen probably there there is a sweater like that that still exists, ans until that is gone they won’t order another to compete with it
I’d like that, Louis. Really, really want a PP WK — just not a turtleneck because I want to wear it with the Chanel-like cardigan in warmer weather. Thank you for trying.
Goldie, you and I both were scouting for the same thing. Next best thing is the Bay!
Tylperpoo, I saw your message on the forum — thank you! Yes, I do have that crinkle safari set in PP and will wear the shell from it with the CC-looking cardigan in PP. However, I would still like a short sleeve WK sweater in PP. Maybe someday.
I’m afraid not they were not ordered. I don’t even know if the skirt will be reordered since it did not sell out and there are still quite a few in inventory.
You can’t mean the new Milano knit skirt from this month? It’s mostly gone except for plus sizes in two colors.
Yes, But hopefully they won’t take that into consideration. There are certain styles that I do not think they should buy in plus sizes or certain colors in certain styles, but they have to.I wanted them to buy the skirt in two lengths…25″ and 23″, but they didn’t…..now they can’t because it’s priced at a 23″ length and especially in the Milano knit a 25″ would cost more. I think it’s an old way of doing business. Everything isn’t for everyone…….We’ll see.
Dear Louis,
Your show was wonderful. I love to hear you talk about your designs and see how you style them. I was able to get the dress in black and the moss crepe 3/4 sleeve top in tan and in blue. I ordered everything in my usual XS and I do so hope it all fits – especially the dress which I see is totally gone at this time.
Thank you so much for sharing your talent and expertise.
Best regards, Ruth
Hi Louis- I am interested in ordering your knit slim ankle pant A265615, but I’m unsure of size. According to size chart, I would need the 2x for my waist. I am trying to find something to replace the pull-on ponte pant A256444 which is no longer offered. I wear a 1x in those and they fit perfectly. Does the ankle pant have the same fit? Thanks for your help.
Sue
Dear Sue…..I have to be very honest with you….I have no idea, and this is why. I am there for the initial fitting on the size sm or 8 model depending on how the item is sized. I am there to make sure the integrity of the design is kept…..style lines, proportions, lengths etc. Then it is left up to the technicians to do the the accurate “fit”. After that the plus sizes are developed and are supposed to follow the missy “look” of the garment. Of course the garment is totally refit and patterned on a 1x model….then graded.I am not there for these fittings so I can not tell you how they fit compared to another style.
Sue – regarding the slim ankle pants, I wear a 1x in the ponte and bought a 1x in the slim ankle pant. The waist is very stretchy. The overall style of the pant is a slimmer profile, but the the fit is just fine in the waist, hips, and thighs for me. I find I wear the ponte more often, but glad to have this ankle pant in my wardrobe, too.
Hi Louis,
As usual your show was great & enjoyed how you prepare all the models – we learn so much.
My daughter asked what I wanted for mothers day and I said your white barrel necklace from my favorite designer. I just received and then I saw the show.
The necklace is beautiful . I saw the show and realized that the white on TV looked much more stark white and you put with white tops. My necklace looks more off white & although looks great with black – Not sure on a white top. Thought you should be aware and what is your opinion since it sold out & I won’t give these up. Thanks
I was very careful about what white tops I put it. The necklace isn’t optic white nor was it supposed to be. Old porcelain and China gets that off white color when the glaze gets old and starts to crack which creates the “veins” or lines. If you are wearing a white or off white bottom with any color top….like all of my Fiesta color WK from a few seasons ago, lime, hot pink, turquoise, tangerine etc etc. the beads will look great. Some people don’t mind mixing whites. I see that all the time in magazines. Now that I have brought it to your attention you will notice it more and more…..but if it does bother you then just put it with tops that are more compatible with the beads. You can’t always go by the color you see on TV. There are so many lights on the ceiling and at the sides and floor shooting up at us, and at us from all angles that you can’t see….that sometimes colors look brighter or whiter then they are. I kept mentioning that the Pale Yellow and Pale Blue lace looked so much brighter on our TV monitors then it really was. I don’t know how it looks on your TVs, so I bring it to your attention in case it does look brighter or different from what it is.I find that happens often. Even on the still photos on the Linea site I find the colors sometimes aren’t true. It happens on my sneak peeks too.
Hi! I always tape your shows not only for the clothes, I love watching you smile. Anyway, our cable went out yesterday @ 4:00! I started screaming and then ran to the computer. I loved the show as usual and bought (previous to the show 3 pairs gauchos) 3 jackets and 4 tops.
I heard you say that the old capri’s and the new seamless capri’s are coming back. Do you know when? I only received a few pairs of the seamless ( shorted 5 pairs)? Hope you and Jac are recovering well from yesterday. Stay well.
Dear Mimi….a the cotton/span knit legging is being planned for next spring….that’s if they finally order it. We are trying to get the Linea Body Capri legging in for the JUNE SHOW!!!! but we are still waiting for a confirmation from the manufacturer. He owns his own factories here in American and he is constantly producing so hopefully he can squeeze a small order in.
Thanks.
LDO–I just love the new gauze tunic and I know it’s too soon to think about a reorder, but can I pitch for navy and white if it comes back? i wore the black yesterday with your tile print skirt (from two years ago?) in the blue color way and it was so lovely and elegant, but with a bit of attitude.
Dear Kate….I would love the top in white, but I’m afraid it might be too see through? Unfortunately there is no white fabric to even test it, so we would only find out when production came through….navy is a no brainer. I’m quite surprised the black is avail in all sizes so I don’t even know if it will be reordered.
Guessing you’d either have to double layer the fabric or line it? I think black was slow to take off this season (except for pants and skirts, of course) but mark my words, it’ll catch up!
I can’t line it because that would change the style number and the price….they can not do that for a reorder item. It would have had to be priced with a lining from the get go like the alabaster pant.
I don’t mind wearing a silk camisole under a top that I feel might be too transparent. Perhaps that would work if need be.
yes it would, but if the buyers realized it would be see through they wouldn’t buy it in the first place.
Oh, those pesky buyers!
Dear Louis,
What a wonderful show! Now I see why you were urging us to be patient and not spend all our pennies elsewhere! Glad I heeded your advice 🙂 The April and May shows were blockbusters and I think I purchased at least one of everything you presented. My favorite thus far is the crepe gauze pants and tunic. (LOVE the pants, especially.) Today, I ordered the gaucho pant and matching top in the three colors, the Chanel-like cardigan in all three colors with the matching skirt in ivory and black, and the irresistible crepe gauze dress in black and alabaster. I also filled in on a few of the WK basics you presented–it is quite the haul!
I received the gauze jackets in black and white this afternoon–they are so terrific for warm weather and they’ll be in heavy rotation for business & travel. All in all, I’ve loved everything I’ve gotten from the April show and I expect the same from what I purchased today.
Thank you, again, for such a fantastic spring season. So much of what you designed for us this season are iconic/classics that we’ll be enjoying for many years to come.
Great Show! I placed my Order at midnight – but then just before the Show started I ordered the Slate Blue (and I never wear Blue except for Denim) Gaucho Pants and matching Tunic Top – so glad I did – these pieces looked fantastic on the Models!
Thank you for giving us extraordinary designs and quality.
What an elegant show, Louis! It was chock full of gorgeous fashions. Really, they were sublime. We are sooo fortunate to have you, Louis.
“Thank you!” to you and Jac! And a very Happy Birthday to Jac!
Um, is it too soon to pester you with questions about the June show?!
Louis, I was hoping you would bring back the crepe gauze pants a276294 today 5/9 in the pm show . I purchased the black top hoping to get the pants at a later date after I bought the alabaster and loved it so much. Will you be bringing it back especially in regular black and if so when? Would really love it. Thanks
Dear Loleta…..there is quite a waiting list for those pants, but it is impossible to bring them back this year. The factories have their productions worked out until the end of the year and they can not stop the wheel to remake these pants. QVC still has to wait to see if the returns are acceptable or not and that takes three months by itself.
Hello
The WK cardigan/jacket, the gaucho pants and the crepe gauze dress are now posted and available for order on QVC.
Best wishes for a great show today, Louis. And I hope that all of the Linea ladies are having a wonderful day.
Michelle
Thanks I already ordered my WK cardigan, and the dress in alabaster and pale pink and I taped the show to watch later! I am excited.
Any news on a trend for shawls? The very well-heeled and stylish fashionista at church has been wearing gorgeous shawls lately. Granted, many of her dresses are sleeveless and the church is highly air-conditioned or, on cooler days, left unheated (or low-heated, to save money). Hers are not run-of-the-mill shawls. They have a special look — can’t explain, but they look really attractive. Are shawls going to be big this spring and summer?
Goldie…I’m a big believer in shawls, but really nice ones are hard to find
Louis ~ I just had to thank you for your Mother’s Day tribute, for all of us out here who cherished our beloved mothers! You have left me in tears right now, but good ones! This world is too full of negatives, and that was so beautiful…
I love watching you on QVC and wish they had you on so much more ~ Your clothes & designs are exquisite!
Warm regards, Karen A Brough
Louis I know this may sound crazy or maybe not but how would that asymmetrical top alabaster or black A267880 look with the crepe dress Thanks.
Dear luvitorleaveit….I tried them on my form and I can’t make up my mind if I do or don’t like them together. The colors are fine. The shirt is a little darker, but that’s OK. I think the shirt may be a little overwhelming over the dress, but I can’t tell until I see it on a real person. It would take someone whom can really carry clothes to pull it off. A small person absolutely could not wear these pieces together. The shirt looks best with something slim under it. I think the Alabaster swing cardigan coming in July or Aug [can’t remember] will be a much better choice.
Thanks for checking Louis I’m definitely not a small so I will see when I get the dress but I know what you mean to see it on a real person I will have to be super quick ordering this beauty. I know the alabaster cardigan will look stunning with that dress and I can’t wait to get that too.
Oh, squealing over the alabaster swing cardigan over here! Cannot wait!

New top with lace is posted.
Der Louis,
Will the gaucho pants be on your show this week?
Thanks,
Dariann
Yes
Louis
Will you be showing the new crepe gauze dress and the WK cardigan/jacket in Monday’s show? I ask because I’ve been scouting the QVC website, but these items have yet to be posted. And since I’ll be in meetings during the Monday show, I’d love to order them early to avoid missing out on these beautiful pieces.
Good luck on the show. I’ll be taping it to enjoy when I get home from work. That will be a lovely way to end a Monday!
Thanks, as always, for keeping us Linea ladies looking stylish.
Michelle
Dear Michele….they are all on the show. You will probably be able to order them in the morning before you go to work.
Louis
Thanks! I’ll continue to scou745t out the QVC website.
Have a lovely weekend.
Michelle
Louis, I’ve been wearing my wire cuff bracelets every day this week. They are such a great grab-n-go option. I like to stack two of them. I managed to get 3 of the colors before it sold out. I particularly like the glossy black stacked with the matte metals. On the reorder -I know there will be one- would you please consider a glossy white and a matte rose gold… also a gunmetal to go with the chocolate… Oh, and don’t forget matte silver (the color I didn’t snag). Yep, I’m crazy about this cuff!
Dear Deborah….I’m so happy you like the bracelet, but this may be it for the cuff! Due to its’ quick sell out we immediately went back to the factory that made it, and they want a huge increase in price to remake it again, so it may not happen. That’s why may of these pieces are a one time only especially with cast metal pieces.
I understand. I really was surprised at the $24 price. When you post the sneak peaks, I make my shopping list and pencil in expected costs. I had expected it to be more in the $30 range and had only planned on two. Once I saw it go live on qvc.com, I jumped on three of them. Held off on the fourth because I wanted to see the crepe gauze pieces first to know how many I’d be ordering of those. By time I came back to the cuff, the silver was S/O.
Well, now I’m congratulating myself because I grabbed the gold, silver, and chocolate bracelets before they sold out. I missed out on the previous wire bracelet when it sold out so fast, and I was determined not to miss this one. Can I just say, “SCORE!”
It does not surprise me that the Factory wants a huge price increase! When I saw the price of these Wire Cuffs – I ordered 3 of them – and am so glad I did!
This crepe gauze fabric of the new tanks and pants is the best in a long time. I want to request this fabric in prints in colors that would coordinate with the solid pieces. Maybe this same sleeveless top in a print using the pink, black, and alabaster or a flowy skirt such as the popular boho. Thanks.
A273869 Top with Lace shoulders has been posted on Q and is available to order.
Just to say big thank you for the petite gauze pants – just received mine and I am pear shape with small waist and these fit perfectly – first time ever perfect pant designed by person who knows just how to design for women. Thank you Louis.
Hello Louis,
Love your designs. Any clue about waitlist on the new pink gauze tunic with the georgette trim. I want to wear it with the perfect pink whisper knit and Dennis Basso’s Lace jacket in black with faux leather trim at the beginning of July????
Dear Mary….I wish I could help you, but I have no info on that end of the business. That is totally QVC’s domain.
Louis,
Can you please share what size Jac takes in new crepe dress? I found that info very helpful when I ordered the anorak and I think there was another item you shared sizing info on that helped a lot of us decide.
Anyway, I received the moss crepe tanks and love them but the armhole is a little small. My arm fits through it fine but when I’m wearing it, I feel it under my arm if that makes any sense. I don’t have big arms. I’m 5’5″ 120# and ordered the XXS. Am thinking of trying the XS.
I’m wondering if the dress fits the same on top as the tank. I want to order as soon as they become available but once again am unsure of which size to get. Don’t want to miss out!
Hi Louis
I wish you would do a shrug or bolero in alabaster for your sleeveless items in the gauze fabric?
An elbow sleeve bolero in alabaster would be wonderful!
Louis,
I know any ideas given now take a year to come, unfortunately, but I would love to see an open unstructured cardigan in the crepe gauze to match the tunics. Or, at the very least, a black crepe gauze cardigan which would sell out ASAP! They would still have flow and fit along the top measurements xxs – 3xl that people are comfortable with. It would create a gorgeous four-season set.
The tunics are up to 16 reviews with 15 being 5 star and 1 being 4 star. Congratulations on another winner.
Debra
Good Morning!
I wore the light blue crepe jacket to a luncheon yesterday and received many compliments. Since there have been requests to make your new pink necklace in blue lace agate, I wanted to let you know that my blue lace agate jewelry is a perfect match to the color of the jacket. Your necklace in the blue lace agate color would be stunning. My blue chalcedony beads are also a good match to the jacket and have similar variations in color as the pink necklace. The blue lace agate is more of a blue and white combination.
I love the crepe tanks and pants which I received this week. I’m eagerly awaiting the show on Monday.
Dear Louis,
QVC had all the troops out today to deliver my crepe gauze items. The post office brought the tunic around lunchtime and UPS just delivered the pants. I LOVE the FABRIC and the Alabaster COLOR. My Asymmetrical Hem Button Down Top (A267880) in ALabaster looks phenomenal with the pants and the tunic (as do the quilted WK jacket and the Black and Alabaster Color Block Cardigan).
I just cannot get over the quality of that fabric. It is gorgeous. I had a drop waist middy dress (alabaster top and dark navy skirt, tie, and trim) back in the sixties. It was made from a similar looking fabric which I just loved wearing with a pair of Capezio navy flats with three holes cut in the toe and a t-strip that went around my ankle. I actually still have that dress (even thought I have long since “outgrown” it). I have liked taking it out from time to time just to look at it and wish that somebody would come out with a similar fabric. Today my wish came true. Thank you for that, Louis.
Since the Sunburst Pleated Skirt (A228339) is no longer available, could you possibly make something similar to it in this wonderful fabric (in Black, Raspberry, Olive, Linea Navy, Alabaster, Ivory, Stone, Taupe, Perfectly Pink, or whatever color you can)? Just a thought.
I’ll leave a glowing review as soon as they let me. I seem to have to wait a couple of days before they permit me leave a review.
Thank you so much.
Louis, Ordered the crepe gauze jacket in black size 16. The snaps don’t work. I ordered another jacket and the snaps don’t work on the second one either. From the reviews some people are having the same problem. I really love the way this jacket looks on. Do I order a third jacket and hope that this one is OK?
Dear judy….that is so frustrating. I have notified may manufacturer about the complaints and she has notified the factory. I don’t know why these things aren’t checked. I guess they just took it for granted the snaps would work since the epaulettes did. My suggestion is this. Call customer service and tell them this has happened twice. You would like it replaced at their cost, but you want them to check the snaps before they ship a new one. None of the fit samples or my samples had this problem nor did my manufactures TOPs [top of production samples], so this was the last thing we expected. It you like the jacket enough, and they will replace it at no cost to you, I would get another. It’s a terrific jacket.
Ooh, I LOVE my new crepe tanks, Louis. And, French Darts! A really smooth, sexy fit. Armholes were perfect on me as well as the length. I wore the black one today and it’s such a beautiful, saturated, jet black. Are the wide leg pants of the same dye lot? I’m on wait list for the Black Pant.
I believe so, but I’m not sure. All of the samples I received and the models samples, which all come from production. all were the same black.
Did you see Claire Dane’s dress lit up at night? Very editorial. Claire was an excellent choice for this unique gown.
Yes it was fabulous. It reminded me of a Charles James gown from the 50s. It was the best of the evening and she did look perfect in it.
Louis..how about a repeat on your wisper knit MID calf skirt…it’s a winner.
Please, please…want more colors. Thanks
I tried…they didn’t order…there’s always next year to try again
A276280 – crêpe gauze zip up jacket. This is just so much better than it looks on TV! I almost passed on this jacket. I thought I didn’t need another jacket. Boy was I wrong! It is something that is just right. I don’t have anything like it in my wardrobe – surprise. The fabric is sensational. The style is timeless. It goes with almost everything in my wardrobe. And somehow, it is a chameleon, it can go dressing, corporate, vacation, and edgy. Totally happy with it. (Only wish it had 2-way zipper–always my personal preference). Can’t wait for the Gauchos in this fabric. More items in this fabric–long sleek vest with high slits requested please.
I am glad you feel the same way about the jacket as I do. There aren’t any gauchos coming in this fabric…..there will be a wonderful tunic coming in May or June.
Louis, Do you have culottes or gauchos coming in another fabric this year? Will it go with the crepe gauze or would it be better with another choice?
I have the Moss Crepe this May and that’s t for the year.
Dear Louis,
This morning my gauze pants and tunics arrived and I LOVE them! The pants fit perfectly, just like they were tailor-made for me, and the fabric is wonderful. Purchased both colorways and I already have many (all?) pieces in the alabaster (quilted jacket, SS WK top, Cady shirt and the color blocked sweater), so I have plenty of options! Since these pants are nearly sold out already, is a reorder possible? I think this will become my all-time favorite pant…would love to see them in navy, charcoal grey, ivory…and more black! Thank you for bringing these fabulous gauze pieces to us and double thanks for the 32-inch inseam in these perfect pants!
So glad you love these pieces. Since it hasn’t even been two weeks it’s way to early to know about reorder possibilities. I hope so because I love these pants in THIS fabric.
I don’t know much about fabric, but this crepe gauze feels wonderful on and it has such beautiful drape to it. You called it “languid” on the show and that about sums it up! Hope we see more of it in future pieces.
Louis- love your take on the Met Ball. I always wonder about your opinion on these things but
didn’t know if it was polite to ask. Next year give us your take on the Oscar fashions. You’ll
be better than the new Fashion Police!
