    Hi Louis,

I received the 3 moss crepe pants in my usual Medium size. I also received the peach slub knit top in Small. I liked the top so much, I ordered the seafoam color and also the moss crepe tops in light tan & black in my usual Small. Thanks for these lightweight fabrics for summer use. One question: the buyer wasn’t interested in black moss crepe pants?

Being a Petite at 5’2″ I will need the pants shortened for my low (1.5″) heels. I do not mind the extra cost because you have a knack for finding great fabrics.

    Thanks again,
    Regards,
    Chris

  2. Victoria1

Louis…got my Vneck tees today…all three in each color! love love love! Left glowing review. The feel of fabric exquisite! The fit is wonderful…tried on Peach…not see through, but will wear beige bra …feels divine and can do so much with them…perfect covers the bum in most lovely way! home run for me!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Victoria1 you’re my first review and I couldn’t be happier that your pleased. I always hold my breath to hear the FIRST impressions, because you never know. Some always say something is too heavy or too light in weight, but I thought this was the perfect weight for SUMMER…..enjoy!

  3. Debra

    Dear Louis,
I don’t know if the hi-lo tops, the peacock, aqua and pink are coming back, but I hope so. Maybe there are some more stock to come?

QVC really messed up. I sent my top back for a different size, they never exchanged, and now they are sold out! I finally got the peacock and it is gone again ~~ an extinct and rare species.

    thanks for the wonderful designs,
    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra. At this point I have no idea if the style will be reordered. I am hoping so since it sold out so quickly and I don’t expect large returns with the history of this top. As for colors….I always like to add new.

  4. Debby

Took your very wise advice and ordered the dingle dangle necklace in gunmetal for the nubby black and white top and skirt WOW really works well together!!! (Looking forward now to gunmetal Cuff!) The pearl necklace(grey) is another winner!Glad I got it before it sells out. Keep it coming – Great clothing and jewelry Always get a big thumbs up from my Hubby! Thanks again.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Debby I am so glad you are pleased. I always worry that when I suggest something it may not be to their expectations or liking, and then they have to pay for returns! So I am very pleased you are happy with the necklace on the nubby knit pieces. You will find it works with many many things for all seasons.

  5. Rochelle

    Dear Louis,

I received the moss crepe gaucho pants and 3/4 sleeve top yesterday in light tan and was very excited to wear them today. Unfortunately, I am in the under 5′ range and, with my proportions, the combination and color looked like oversized pajamas on me. I wish there were a way to convince QVC to stock petite options in pants; the rise fell mid-thigh and not only are such items not easily retailored at the waist and rise, the final cost would set them in the $200 range. I tried the top with my black moss crepe skirt, and it confirmed the color is not good for my upper body. (Light tan would be an excellent skirt color if they are ever reordered.)I am thinking of exchanging the top for one in black, which has more contrast with my pale skin. Do you think I would have more luck with the petite gauze pants? are they a wider leg than the gauchos?

    Thank you for your time.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Rochelle….honestly at 5′ it’s a gamble. The clothes simply are not proportioned for someone of your height. I’m not worried about the leg width of the gauze pant, after you cut the 4 or 5 inches off the bottom, but it’s the rise I’m more concerned with. Did you try the gaucho with a shorter more fitted top like a black WK and the top with slim black or navy pants. It just may be that the two together are just too much for you.

      1. Rochelle

Dear Louis, I always appreciate when you take the time to respond to me.

The pleating at the waist along with the low rise over-exaggerated my abdomen an hips. Admittedly, in my small stature I am an apple-hourglass. I find that pleats often are something I should avoid. E maven with the wonderful drape, the effect is the same, and the gathering is still obvious on my behind. I agree, it is a gamble when you are shorter, especially for those of us under 5″. I have packed both up and am exchanging the top for black. I may order the peach novelty tee. I also love your feather jersey and want more.

I really like your high-low hems on tops. As a 36J, all my tops tend to fall higher in the front unless custom made. The high-low cut makes it a deliberate fashion feature.

We’ve spoken before, December 2015, I was dropping weight and moving toward mediums in skirts and pants. In the sixteen months since my mother’s death, and the fallout, I’ve gained 20 lbs. Trying on all the moss and pebble crepe pieces I ordered was an unfortunate wake up call.

  6. Eileen

Hi, Louis, I received the slate blue top and gaucho pants, and I think they are sensational. I bought that beautiful nugget necklace, too, and wow, is that gorgeous. Do you think that would be an appropriate outfit to wear to a wedding in Pennsylvania on October 1?
(a)because they are pants and (b)because of the color, and (c)would you consider that an all-year-round outfit? Thanks a lot, as always. Eileen

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Eileen…I think it would absolutely be an appropriate outfit especially with the nugget necklace and metallic sandals. That is of course if the wedding isn’t black tie…It is an outfit you can wear all year long…..plus use both pieces as separates…i.e the slate blue top and black pants…..the blue pants…any WK sweater in black some black tights and black boots

  7. Joanne

    Hi Louis
Great show today! I assume you will start showing your fall items soon. I am very interested in two upcoming items. What show will they appear on. I want to make sure I do to miss them as they will sell out immediately. i am doing some traveling the rest of the summer. I pack light and I am taking a great deal of Linea.
    1. Swing cardigan in alabaster
    2. Trench coat in tan/black combo
    Trench coat in black/black combo
    Thanks Louis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne…..the cardi is due in July, and since it is a reorder they will post it as soon as it gets into inventory. The trench is due in Sept and the same story would apply.

  8. Terri Harse

Hi Louis! Great show! I just received the crepe moss gaucho set in slate blue today and I absolutely love it. I do have a question. I am 5’4″, and about how many inches above the ankle bone should a hem be for a dressy look in this pant? I think the shorter the gaucho the more casual and I intend to wear these out to a dressy restaurant. Is the proper fit 1-2 inches about the ankle bone? These look wonderful with silver strappy heels and silver jewelry (yours of course). I measured my inseam on these and they are 21.75 inches. Right now they hit right at my ankle bone. Any guidance would really help before I take them to my tailor. Many thanks!

    1. Karen in WA

I was going to ask the SAME question? Same color and height! I am thinking too long will look like they are supposed to be longer. Mine are on the way. I will wear silver flat sandals and Linea silver too.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Terri….your instinct is correct. The shorter they are the more casual they look. I would say 1 to 2 inches above the ankle bone is right. If the shoe you are wearing is a strappy sandal 1 inch or 1 1/2 inch might do it. If it is one of the new lace up sandals which give a heavier look then 2 inches would be better. Really there is no one length. It is where you are most comfortable with and where on YOUR leg you think it looks best.

      1. Terri Harse

Thank you so much Louis! I so appreciate you taking the time to respond!

      2. Karen in WA

        Me too

  9. Ruth

Great show – Louis and Jac!
Thanks for bringing all these new, lovely clothes. I’m looking forward to receiving the items I ordered. I know I won’t be disappointed.
    All the best,
    Ruth

  10. Mary

    Hi Louis,

On May 13th, I mailed 3 pieces of my much loved jewelry(long loveknot chains in silver and gold and the silver fish) to your manufacturer for re-plating along with a note and check as you suggest. I received them back yesterday and they are as beautiful as the day I purchased them! I am so impressed with the level of customer service that you offer, and want to thank you for everything you do. I have been a Linea lover since the very beginning and appreciate the level of commitment you have to not only your beautiful clothing line, but to each of us that love Linea. I’m working tomorrow and won’t be able to watch the show, but have already purchased several items you will be showing. All the best to you and Jac!

    Mary

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary…..I would love to take all the credit, but I must give it to my manufacturer who is a wonderful partner. Believe me there are few who would be willing to stand behind their product as my jewelry partner does. I am very luck to have great working relationships with my apparel jewelry and hosiery manufactures. They are the best IMHO.

      1. Barbara C

        Louis,

I have the gold cross station necklace (it has 5 crosses spaced around the necklace). I purchased this 2-3 years ago and wondering if the manufacturer will replate it because the chain is turning dark. If so, could you please post the information for me to send it in? Thanks so much. ~ Barbara

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear Barbara…..you can certainly send them the piece. I don’t know how they will just re-plate the chain. They will have to take it apart because the crosses have a different finish from the chain, but they are the professionals. Here’s the info:

          Repairs Department
          C/O TCJC LLC
          3B Industrial Drive
          Smithfield, RI 02917

Please write a brief letter stating your are a QVC Linea customer, and what you would like done to the piece. Also enclose a check for $7.50 made out to TCJC LLC. This is for return shipping. Let me know how it turns out!

          1. Barbara C

Thank you so much. I will let you know!

  11. Nicklaus1

    Hi Bonnie,

Here is the info I believe you are asking about from Louis’ blog about A273871.

The style # is A273871……It is a slub heather knit, and is a blend of 50% rayon and 50% polyester……As I said…the fabric is light as air, and the perfect weight for a sleeved summer top. The more conservative may want to wear a light tank or cami under it, but it really isn’t necessary. There are many fabrics already sold on QVC successfully that are even lighter and thinner…….We often speak of a “beach cover up”, but many tops really aren’t light enough for the beach….this is……….When you have had enough sun, no matter where you are, this will be the perfect top to pull from your tote and slip on. As you can see from the photos above the tunic has a 3/4 sleeve, a V-neckline, and has an easy fit through the top…..then it flares out for an gentle swing effect….It is approx, 28 1/2 inches for the XXS……I would suggest ordering your normal size, but I always recommend that you first look at the garment measurements.

You can search the blog for info by putting in the item # in the search bar. Hope this helps.

  12. Bonnie

Well, I must have done something wrong along the way because you’ve answered most of the questions but mine. Oh well, I’ll do my best!!

    1. Shari

      Bonnie
I’m attempting to help the ever so busy, Louis.Hope I’m not over stepping, Louis.
The top you speak of is a poly /rayon and is very soft to the touch.
If you go to QVC.com, you will find a click here at the bottom of the description of each garment. There you will find ALL of the measurements for each size. I hope this gives in sight for you. Happy shopping!!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bonnie….I have been away for the last few days…sp I guess I missed your question. I hope Shari answered it for you…if not feel free to ask again.

  13. Shari

    Louis
My stalking paid off. This morning I ordered all three colors of A273867.
Anxious to get them. I know I will get a lot of use out of them.
Until I can order your turquoise seed bead necklace, I found a multi colored seed bead necklace in a catalog. I think this will be good until I can get yours.
Looking forward to the June 8 show.

  14. ceicei

    Louis,
I just received your moss crepe pants and buttoned top in blue. I am between a medium and large. Because of the fabric and click here measurements, I sized down. I expedited the order so I would have it in time to order a different size if needed. I don’t mind spending the extra money for shipping to make sure I get the size I need. I missed out on the gaucho black pants because by the time I realized they were too large, they were not available. I am waitlisted for the medium.
Now for the review. I am very happy with this outfit. I am 5 foot 3 and will have to shortened them but fortunately I can do it myself. I almost didn’t get the top. I don’t really like a short sleeve but this works for me. I think with a little self tanner and not being so critical of myself, I may be able to do it. I think it has to so with the length of the top and the column of color. The proportion is flattering despite my height and the length of the sleeve. It just seems to work. If not, I will just throw a shawl over it.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Don’t forget they are a terrific separate pant, and in the fall you can wear an open front or drape front cardigan. I am assuming the med in both top and pant fit fine…. Try some Jergens Natural Glow daily moisturizer for a slow tan. Jac uses it every day. After a week she curbs it off and starts again. The daily moisturizer has no smell according to Jac.

      1. ceicei

Yes, Louis, the fit is perfect. I also plan on trying to mix and match with the navy relaxed suit you had earlier this year. I think the length of the jacket might be long enough. I will try the jergens natural glow. I also ordered the new gauze tops in azure and white. I have the blue gaucho set and love it. So I went back and ordered the tan set. I think the bottom will work well with lace top with the grosgrain ribbon. I have 5 of them and will use the matching tank from the safari tops to finish off the outfit.

  15. Kathy/Wis

Check out the necklace of your on the lunch time special

  16. Debby

Some advice? Would the nubby top and skirt A268133 black and cream, look better with the dingle dangle necklace grey or gunmetal ,or the silver nugget necklace on clearance J321805? .Thanks for the heads up on the pearl necklace bought the grey -please keep them coming! Love your clothing and jewelry!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie….I like them both, and to prove my point if you watch the video Jac is wearing the Silver dingle dangle ( the gunmetal would be perfect too), and Kate is wearing the silver nugget…..both look great

  17. Ruth

    Hi Louis,
I’m interested to know if the new A273867 Gauze Tunic is going to be shown during your June 8th show. Though I keep looking, I don’t see it posted on the QVC website yet.
I also wanted to let you know that I wore your A263353 OMBRE TUNIC in pink to see the Cirque du Soleil Kurios show in Boston and felt that my top was as beautiful and special as the hand painted costumes of the performers.
Next week, I plan to wear the Ombre Tunic in aqua when I go to see the newly installed Monet show at the MFA Boston. I think I’ll blend right in!
Thanks for all the lovely clothes!
    Best regards,
    Ruth

    1. diane bloch

Ruth – Thought you’d like to know this tunic is available for ordering. Enjoy

      1. Ruth

Hi Diane, Thanks so much! Have a great day! Ruth

    2. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

Ruth, the A273867 Gauze Tunic is posted on QVC.com now. And, it’s offered on 5 easy pays.

      1. Ruth

Hi Deborah, Thanks for the heads up. Love the easy pay, especially when I’m unsure of size and need to order two sizes to zero in on the right one for me. Louis says this tunic is cut oversized. I know that’s the current style, but I’m not sure how it will look on me. I’ve ordered both the XXS and the XS to see which looks best.
I hope you have a great day!
        Best regards, Ruth

  18. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
The new sleeveless tunic A276300. I am in between a S & M. Only concern in the middle. Does this top go in at waist or does it go from a 40-46 on bottom? I wish they would give the waist measurements. Would you go up or down?

I wore that new white& black barrel necklace and earrings last nite on the white tank & georgette tank – Looked super.

Also will the new pieces in Moss Crepe in July be scoop neck styles?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear NJlady…the tunic does not come in at the waist. I would go by the bust size so you have room. You don’t want the armhole to be too big. Also see if there is a big difference in the S & M measurements….The July Moss Crepe has been moved up to this June show…..so the two pieces…the short sleeve tunic and the pull-on pant is it for now.

  19. HI, Louis! Hope I catch you before you leave for QVC! My question about the new gauze tunic in yellow seems to be now lost in the archives. So here it is again!

HI, Louis! I LOVE yellow, but there are very few yellows I can wear. A clear lemon yellow is what works for me. Which of the pictures here most accurately depicts the yellow of this nice tunic? Thanks so much! Barbara

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Barbara….I guess you and Ray are back from your vacation. I would call this a lemon yellow and think the color would be good for you.

      1. Grrrreat!!!!! We don’t go cruising until late July then will spend a week in Prague. Am working out my travel wardrobe!

  20. rae smith

    Louis,
Thank you for the sneak peek of this new tunic. Your photos definitely give a more accurate depiction of the fit! Is this tunic of similar body style to A265609 – Printed Asymmetrical Hem Tunic Top – minus the asymmetrical hem and possibly not as much ‘swing’? Also, is the fabric the same/similar to A268132 – Cowl Neck Long Sleeve Knit Top?
So many questions – I know you have answers! Thank you so very much.

    rae

  21. Kate

Will we ever see Pebble Crepe pants again? I have a pair of black cropped one (and I HATE cropped pants) that I’ve worn to death. Would love more. Also, a skirt (which I supposed would have to be lined?)

    1. Judy

Kate, I’m with you, I would love, love some new pebbled crepe pants! At least some basic colors white, navy, and black. I’ve ask several times so maybe there is power in numbers. I’m on that bandwagon, maybe more will join us.

      1. louis dell'olio

Judy….I sketch them every season, but they are never chosen….I’ve sketched them again so fingers crossed!

    2. louis dell'olio

I have a new cropped one plan for next spring, but I never know what they will buy. There are no pebble crepe skirts…they seem to always pass the skirts?? It would have to be lined in light colors.

  22. Breee

Hi Louis, I received the ombré tunic in peacock. Thanks for the reorder. I also have J329563 Egyptian look beaded necklace in blue. To me, it looks like these can be worn together. What do you think?

    1. Goldie76

Breee, excuse my intrusion, but I believe Louis previously responded to this same question from another Linea Lady. As I recall, he thought the Peacock tunic and Egyptian necklace were too much for one another. He preferred the Egyptian necklace on a solid background.

Louis, if I am incorrect, please forgive my nosing in on this.

  23. Breee

Hi Louis, Thanks for the sleeveless tunic in pebble crepe. I have the previous sleeveless tunic in black and it is great for summer. I always wished for more colors in that one. Can this sleeveless tunic in the pebble creep in indigo be worn with the moss crepe pants in indigo? Thanks.

  24. Chris S.

    Hello,
I have 2 quick questions. You suggested to another Linea Lady that she could wear a cardigan over the new moss crepe top and pants. I’m wondering if last year’s marine blue swing cardigan would be tonal over the new “navy” moss crepe pieces.

Also, I take all of my pants to be shortened to my local dry cleaner. They do a nice job, but they press a crease into them unless I tell them not to. I only like a crease in trouser type pants, not pull-ons. What is your opinion about crease or no crease? I’m on my way to pick up my new wide leg crepe pants from the cleaners and I think I forgot to tell them no crease!

    Thanks!

  25. Bonnie

Hi, Louis. I see you’ve answered some other questions, but not mine. Perhaps you missed it? If you could give any information about the fabric and sizing for A273871, the 3/4 Sleeve Novelty Knit Top, it would be appreciated. I searched first, to see if you had posted anything about it, but didn’t see anything. Thank you!

  26. Pamela in Anchorage

    Dear Louis:

Would Jac recommend a brand of bronzer that works ‘best’ for her?

    TIA

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’ll ask her….I do know she uses Jergens Natural Glow daily moisturizer, but I know she uses other things.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pamela, Jac gave me more info for you…The Jergens is the medium shade which works for her fair skin. She also uses “Fabulous” by Vita Liberata….a gradual tanning lotion for the body. Also, Sally Hanson “Airbrush Legs” in the med. shade. It’s like make up for the legs. It comes in a spray or cream….she uses the cream. Now this is temporary and washes off. She uses this for on air or for a day in the city or a night out. For the face she uses “Nars” bronzing powder “Laguna” is the color name she uses…….happy taning

      1. Pamela in Anchorage

        Thank you both very much!

  27. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

Louis, on Memorial Day I wore your A255145 LL short sleeve top in navy with the LL white pull on pants. Wonderfully comfortable for a long sit on folding chairs outdoors. I hope this gets reordered and, if it does, I’d like to vote for this to be offered in the beautiful red that is available in the Kate shirt. That is such a gorgeous red. I would also like to see this top in the coffee brown color. I love brown with white for summer.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Deborah….if the top gets reordered. The red and brown would be two good colors. However I will say the red shirt didn’t sell as well as I thought it would, and many requested that shirt in red….so you never know.

  28. gapeach

After seeing your latest postings, I am eagerly looking forward to the June 8th show. Just when I think I have everything I need clotheswise, you come up with other wonderful things.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s my job….LOL…..I have to entice…..or I’ll have nothing to do.

      1. Shari

SO glad this is what keeps you “busy”!
I’m also looking forward to the June 8th show.
I’m stalking the gauze shirts, as I will be ordering all three
        colors!
Would love to see this in the Moss!

  29. Bonnie

Hi, Louis! Just wondering about A273871, the 3/4 Sleeve Novelty Knit Top. I am an XL/1X in your clothing and I love EVERYTHING. Wondering if this fabric is a little too thin (possibly clingy) for me? I just love the look of it. And wondering if it runs true to size? Thank you, Louis!

  30. Jane J.

Hi Louis, Four New items just popped up on the QVC website:

A273872 Moss Crepe Button Up Short Sleeve Shirt

    A276300 Sleeveless Button Front Top

A273871 3/4 Sleeve Novelty Knit Top

    A273877 Moss Crepe Pants

I think they have the color swatches reversed for the Indigo and the Iris on A276300 sleeveless button front top.

    1. louis dell'olio

yes they do…..i’ve advised them….let’s see how long it takes to correct?!

      1. rae smith

Happy to report the colors and color names have been corrected!!

    A267882
Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Whisper Knit Short Sleeve Top. — Louis please tell us this has been reorder and we are getting new colors. My request is for Navy in this style. I wanted to wear this top over Memorial Day to a gathering and sadly no navy. This is my all time favorite short sleeve WK top you have designed. I love WK especially in short sleeve styles because they work 4 seasons and look good by itself or under a cardigan or jacket. And then when you remove the jacket you still have sleeves. Yahoo. Please, please tell us this item is returning.

    1. louis dell'olio

I an hoping so for Feb 2017, but do not have confirmation from the buyers.

  32. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
Love the moss crepe. You said more styles coming in July.
Will these be summer or fall tops? Any scoop neck pieces?
    Thanks again
    Great material

    Hi Everyone,

Prayers requested because of tragic shooting at UCLA, my beloved A.M.
    Thank you one and all.

    C

    1. Goldie76

Yes, Cela, prayers for safety and healing in the UCLA community. So sorry for this tragedy. I’d love to write more about what is in my heart about what is going in the U.S. and around the world, but my words would be erased (of necessity, and I’d understand).

      1. Cela

Goldie, you are a sweet soul. And Beryl, thank you as well.

    2. Beryl

      My prayers are with you.

Hi Louis, a few weeks ago on the QVC site I noticed a new photo illustrating your wing collar blouse which shows the model in a black version – previous photo on the QVC site was of the white or pastel version. Since I have all 4 colors and would love to have a black one, I was delighted to see the new color, but discovered I could not purchase black version on the site. I thought maybe the photo was up early and that the black version was coming soon, so I’ve been checking the QVC site every day. Today I finally did a live online chat with QVC and was told that the black was offered previously and was no longer available. Is that the case? I thought I had seen the wing-collar from the first time it was offered, but of course I could be mistaken. Is the black version on the way, or have I missed it?

  35. Goldie76

An interesting feature on your friend/former colleague Donna Karan in today’s (5/31/16) “Washington Post.” You two were most certainly a team, judging from your mutual penchant for bold, over-the-top necklaces (the old “more is more” thing). [See photo of lovely, flowing dress that shows a VERY strong pearl presence.]

Thanks for the article Goldie. Very interesting. Sounds like she still has a lot of designing left to do. Wouldn’t it be magical if she and LDO could unite again!!! Goodbye QVC. Hello beautiful fashions and fabrics and jewelry, etc. Ah to dream……………

      1. Goldie76

Sounds like a wonderful dream to me, too, 1jac. I am glad the article was of interest to you. Like many Linea Ladies, I would love to see the Linea line have access to whatever fabrics and other raw materials needed to realize a fashion concept.

  36. Toni

Louis I got your new color pale yellow in the lace jacket. The color is very nice, even prettier than I expected. Therefore, I would like to see this same color of light yellow in the boho skirt and safari shirt set. I also believe a light yellow short sleeve whisper knit Would be very useful. I personally like the short sleeve tops very much with the boho skirt. I have the aqua skirt and WK top and have received several compliments. This silhouette WK & boho is easy chic. Love it.

Louis, I bought the gaucho pants (horrible name for wide crop pants!) and the moss crepe top in black. I love these pieces! I’m thinking about getting another top, but was wondering … what moss crepe pieces are coming in July? Same color selections (light tan, slate blue and black)?

      1. Kate

Do I remember something about a DRESS in this wonderful fabric?

  39. Yoko

These are my color suggestions for next year. Lime and colbalt blue. I would like these in boho skirt and short sleeve whisper knits. Thank you.

  40. Mimi

Dear Louis| I’m so sorry to hear about your friend Jean Pierre. My heart lit up reading about your memories of him. I am truly sorry he suffered.. It’s friendships like that, that contribute to who we are and who we want to be. I don’t know you aside from your personality on tv but from what I read and see, you are a special person. We have to try to be the best people we can be and take everything as it comes. Then, move on to the next challenge but always be there for the ones we love. I hope you and Jac have a wonderful and healthy Memorial Day weekend and be thankful for all of your beautiful memories.

  41. Lynn Goodrich

For the georgette – smoke (I missed it last time😥 Also teal to match the teal boho. I also lke the cranberry or hunter that other’s have mentioned. For the boho – maybe a margarita lemon/lime? Also for both or the Kate, I liked the indigo of your drawstring dress!

  42. Cheryl

    Louis,

I would love to add to the 7 georgette safari shirts and tanks that I already own with a royal or powder blue or a deep rose. I would also love you to bring back the navy that I somehow managed to miss. Thanks.

  43. KathleenAlice

    Hi Louis,

I would like to know if the tunic with patch pockets A255145 is going to be reordered. I missed out on the lapis and would love to have red or turquoise. I also would like to ask if you have considered doing this with a three quarter sleeve. Thanks for all you do and have a nice long weekend with Jac and your scotties.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear KathleenAlice….it is too early to know if it will be reordered.

  44. RJ

Please repeat the boho skirt in navy. I would like to see navy used more frequently as an alternative to basic black. So pleased with my A276295 wide leg pants–in black.

  45. Jane

    Louis,
I have the Kate shirt in white, red, navy & stone. I would love to have it in black & bring back the clay & grey.
    LOVE this shirt!
I also have the sleeveless shirt you did a couple of years ago. I have the black & chocolate brown. I would love for you to bring it back in a white !!!

Love your designs & the quality !!

    Jane

  46. Judy

Hi Louis, no one could be any happier than me to know we are getting new colors in the Kate shirt! I live in mine year round, wonderful shirts and I also use mine as a shirt jacket in the summer. I am pretty sure I own more Kate’s than anyone! 4 whites, 2 navy, 2 red, 2 clay, 2 blue, 1 butter, 1 sea glass, 1 light olive. Yes,I need a complete section in my closet just for my favorite shirt! Do I really need more? Of course I do! I want soft pink, hot pink, deep dark olive, bright green, regal purple and jet black! I’m so excited, can’t you tell? Love ya

  47. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis,
Thanks for asking us for the colors we would like to see in the Kate shirt, the Crinkle Georgette safari shirt (and tank), and the Boho skirt. I would like to see all the same colors in all pieces: Cranberry, Teal, Alabaster, Ivory, Goldenrod, Raspberry, Olive, Stone, Hunter Green, Dusty Rose, Dusty Aqua, Nutmeg, Copper, and Smoke.

  48. Eileen

Hi, Louis, Just received the moss crepe slate blue top(A273862) with the matching gaucho pants. I really love the style of both. Would there be more of this style top and pants coming in other colors?.– I have all of the short skirts from last year. The fabric is wonderful, and I am wearing the navy blue skirt and peplum top to a wedding next month. Thanks for your work as always. You have very loyal customers, and we all know you always give more than 100%.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Eileen…..It is much too early to know if these styles will be reordered. I would think the gaucho will be due to the sell out, but the top, surprising, still is almost all avail. I really don’t know why? A top like this in a store like Eileen Fisher would be at least double the price if not more. I can only think that the QVC picture is so bad that women who didn’t see the show and what the top really looks like, and don’t take the time to look at the video if there is one, will just pass it by. The picture makes it look like a basic T shirt, which it is not. I will be having new pieces in the Moss Crepe in July, and I’m planning it for the months ahead.Your outfit sounds perfect.

      1. Carol

Hopefully, you can show it again, because the details of the sewn on bands make it such a great fit and so stylish. I definitely don’t think the photo does it justice. I’m so hoping for a reorder, too. The gauchos are TDF!

  49. nyc1

Thinking ahead to the cooler months of Fall and Winter… do you have any skirts that are slightly below knee length? Would love a wool skirt in that length that I can wear with opaque tights. Thanks Louis.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No….I do not have any longer skirts…..as for wool….they are not buying wool….to many complaints about itching. That’s the reason we stopped the wool acrylic pencil and now only do the Whisper Knit.

      1. nyc1

Thanks… I guess women forgot about something called a SLIP! Thanks for your reply. Even in WK, I happen to love the longer skirts, slim or fuller with heels or boots.

      2. Carol

I agree about the wool. Love the WK so much better. After the nearly immediate sellout of the new Milano knit, I’m hoping QVC will reorder those. They are perfection!

  50. Mimi

Hi Louis. I hope your visit to the city was successful and enjoyable. I received the new Aqua tunic and it is stunning. I must tell you, every time I wear anything from your line my husband says, ” That must be by Louis, it’s beautiful “. I check daily for the availability of the new capri leggings in size A. I’m hoping they come in before the June show. I would like to buy at least another 4 pairs. Do you know when there will be another shipment of the long seamless body leggings in size A? I just ordered two more black but I would like to get more of the navy and walnut. Thank you as always and stay well. I hope Jac and the girls are doing well.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mimi…..the walnut and navy were not reordered, however we will be adding Olive, Dark Grey [solid], Hunter Green, Raspberry, Wine, Dark Umber and Heather Charcoal Grey. There will also be a fleece lined legging with a pin tuck front in different colors and a ribbed sock tight for Nov. coming in Black Heather Charcoal and Espresso Brown….I think there will be much to choose from.

      1. Mimi

Thanks. Have a great Memorial Day Weekend.

  51. Joanne

    Hi Louis
What is the color at the very bottom of the pink ombre tunic. It looks like gray in the photo.
    Thank you

    1. louis dell'olio

      Yes it’s a dark gray…..

  52. namealreadytake

Louis, I am just angry, angry, that there was such a short supply of the crepe gauze dress. Well, that should be on your agenda to return in black and whatever is “hot” next season. I love all the crepe gauze pieces I have and hope that next year there will be a crepe gauze jacket in a more relaxed, maybe more Italian open jacket, a bit longer with an easy fit. We can hope, right?

      1. Goldie76

I would like that, too. No buttons and no zipper.

    1. Carol

butting in here, but while it doesn’t work with the dress, the topper style jacket A230028 has a texture very similar to the crepe gauze and looks good with the alabaster and the black dress. The reason it doesn’t work with the dress is that it has the reverse high/low of the dress and looks funny. (The jacket is longer in the front). The jacket blue also looks good with the black.

      1. Carol

That was supposed to be the alabaster and black pants that the topper works with. Geez.

  53. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

My aqua Ombre Tunic (A263353) arrived today. When I returned from work and saw a QVC bag in my mailbox, my heart jumped for I knew what was in it. I cannot stop quietly exclaiming, “Oh my, oh my!” The aqua is so gentle, so like a Monet painting. The ombre tunic’s beauty is different this year, but it is as powerful as last year’s look — just in a different way.

    Thank you. I love it!

    1. namealreadytake

It is reminiscent of the Don Johnson jackets of the 1980s from Miami Vice.

  54. Shari

    Hi Louis’
    Need your in-put.
I ordered both the Pink and the Aqua Ombre tunics.
Do you think they would look great with white pants or jeans?
How about Navy? I have your navy knit crops.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’ll have to check and get back to you, but I’m in the city for the next two days.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shari….White bottoms works with both colors, but I do not like navy with the Aqua…..grey works best

      1. Shari

Thankyou, I’ll have to pick up the grey pant.

  55. Pecan Cookie

Hi Louis, I caught the TRAPEZE WIRE WRAP CUFF, J329557 on one of the models today. It looked so cute I had to pull mine out before I went out the door. Any word on whether this will be reordered? I picked up the gold and of course now want other colors especially the chocolate. Thanks for any info!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pecan Cookie….it sold out so quickly it really should be reordered, but so far it’s not going to be.

  56. Chris S.

    Good Morning.
I picked up the light blue lace jacket this morning. I love the idea of the navy trim. Of course, I already own some navy bottoms, but did you say you have a navy crepe pant coming this summer? The one thing I don’t have is a Linea navy skirt. Is there anything on the horizon?
    Thank you1

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

She was wearing the A273303 gaberdine trouser in navy. There aren’t any navy skirts coming, but the Moss crepe skirt does come in the Linea navy. It’s a fabulous skirt!

  57. Goldie76

Louis, thank you for trying (and for responding). I realize that we must be grateful that we have whatever piece of your talent we are granted, but thinking of how you work within the parameters (confines?) of what QVC grants you, I think of the mythological “Procrustean bed.” You stretch, or lop off from, your design ideas for us Linea Ladies, depending on what you are permitted to do. I realize times have changed. Purses are smaller at every level (except for the top 1 percent, of course). And, tastes/needs have change as well.

  58. Sharon Sheehan

    Good morning, Louis
I live in your clothes from casual to professional. Any plans for velvet or sequin skirt/separates for Holiday 2016? I have worn your velvet and payette skirt to death, yet it still garners compliments and make me feel so feminine, attractive and classy. More, please.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon…..every season I sketch dressy clothes, but they are never chosen

  59. Toni

A265615 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Knit Pull-On Slim Ankle Pants–terrific pants. Please consider these in navy, cognac or khaki. Fabulous pants.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Toni….the honest answer to that is…if the colors that are avail don’t sell they will not reorder more.I certainly would bring in navy and khaki

  60. Goldie76

My June/July issue of “Harper’s Bazaar” arrived today. I am not a slave to fashion but I am ALWAYS interested when something I have responded to is in fashion (fickle thing that it can be). Well, there were so many leopard prints– all over several different spreads. Ladies, hang on to your Linea spotted tops and jackets! Louis, will you be doing more of any animal print for fall 2016? [Remember the fashionista at church about whom I wrote, who was sporting a black leather purse with a swatch of leopard print on it and shoes in a leopard print? I should have known she was on to the “latest.”] I still remember stopping at a French-owned boutique on the Upper East Side with a very wealthy colleague of mine. The shopkeeper always buzzed around her and led her to the next big thing. Somehow, I envision Mrs. Church Fashionista enjoying the same treatment.]

    1. Goldie76

Louis, I had a question within my long paragraph:

” Louis, will you be doing more of any animal print for fall 2016?”

      1. louis dell'olio

No…I had some planned but they weren’t purchased.

    2. Joanne

      Goldie 76
      i agree with you.
I own 4 of the animal jacquard jackets in gray, topaz, olive and chocolate. One of them for at least 10 months a year travels with me on business trips. They are all so versatile with different accessories. But the best part is I look like a sylph in those jackets. They are the best!

  61. Alice Speelman

    Dear Louis,

I may have missed your answer to my question, but will your Linea Pearl Clasp Necklaces (J264035) be offered in more colors in the near future? They are so beautiful and my favorite jewelry pieces in your line.

    Thank you,

    Alice Speelman

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Alice….I did answer you…..don’t know where it went??? There are no plans to bring the pearls back at this point. Maybe when there isn’t any more inventory they may ask for new colors, but so far….no

  62. Karen Proctor

Hello Louis, I have been looking again and again at the photos of your butter color whisperknit V-neck sweater and multibead necklace in natural which you featured on this site on March 1st. I love the combination of the butter with a neutral skirt. Unfortunately, I don’t have a light color neutral whisper knit skirt in my collection and there are none left anywhere in my size. The butter looks so good with neutral that I’m just locked into that color combination. Is there another color you would recommend with the butter that would be as attractive as the light neutral? I was thinking perhaps the charcoal grey WK skirt that’s coming this Fall??

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Karen…..the butter looks great with grey as well as navy, khaki, ivory, olive.I believe there is a coffee bean WK skirt still avail that would be perfect with the butter and pick up the tortoise beads in the seed bead necklace. I believe it’s the same skirt that is coming in the grey for fall. I’m not sure what other solid skirts are left in inventory, but if I should see one I’ll let you know, but I really do know the coffee bean is perfect. What size are you looking for?

      1. Karen Proctor

Thank you very much for the suggestions, Louis. I do have the Coffee Bean, navy and olive WK skirts which I love, and just had not thought of those colors with the butter — probably because I was so fixated on the light color skirt shown in your photos! I’m going to order the butter sweater and seed bead necklace now before they are gone. (P.S. I wear a size small in Linea skirts and plan to order your charcoal grey WK skirt as soon as it is available in the Fall – I already have a collection of your charcoal grey sweaters and the color is so flattering. Thanks again.

  63. Debra

    Hi Louis,
Thank you for the photos of the ombre tunic tops. I ordered the peacock one three days ago, but it is still “in process.” Pink is next on my list. I would think that the number of orders is already so high that you might have to give us another sneak peek of a replacement item for the June 8th shows……. One can hope… 🙂

All the pants sound nice, but I would love to see a longer skirt in the moss crepe or gauze. Hopefully, there will be some other items coming in July along with the new swing cardigans.

    Have a great weekend!

  64. Suzanne

Hi Louis. Will there be any more wide leg pants similar to the gauze crepe ones coming? Perhaps in a print?

    1. louis dell'olio

There is another pull on pant coming in Moss Crepe in July…..no prints this season.

      1. Grace

Looking forward to these pants! You are spoiling us, Louis!
