First, I must thank you all for making my shows a huge success. Congratulations all around. Everyone was very happy!
Here I am back again to give you another list of new and reorder clothes…all to be shown on the 8th of April! I also think it would be helpful for you to know what is in store for you for the rest of the season. The April 8th show will have 8 new items and 4 reorder items. The May show will have 2 new items, 3 reorder items, a new essential ribbed cardigan and V-neck ribbed tank, plus a fantastic gold multi chain necklace and bracelet [on line purchase only]. June, my final spring/ summer show of the season, will have 10 new items and 2 reorder items. Then I will be entering my 11th Fall season on QVC, which starts in July.
Friday, April 8th, 10am, will be hosted by Sandra and the 11pm show will be hosted by Lisa…both shows should be quite lively!!….we should have a terrific time, and it will be the last time you see me in a sling! Now, for the clothes:
The Reorders:
1-A78354, is the poly/rayon/ span jacket with the french cuff. The new colors are navy with white buttons and aquamarine with white buttons. The aquamarine is a new color…. a light [not pale or washed out] aqua with a tint of green. In the June show, I will also have aquamarine separates in crinkle georgette and pebble crepe that will work back to this jacket.
2-A199262, is the cotton sateen floral print jacket. The new color is the red/white and, yes, the new ivory pant with the red piping. does work with this jacket The red/ white floral print short sleeve blouse with the tiny ruffles works beautifully with this jacket, too. The red short sleeve shirt with the mesh yoke is another alternative. Any of these tops combined with the pant and jacket would make a wonderful outfit.
3-A199266, is the cotton shirt with the curved mesh yoke and the cotton stripping. The new color is olive and it works with everything. I love the olive with the olive mesh it’s…. safari…but not literally. It’s a great little top in any color.
4-A199801, is my cotton /span legging. I brought the legging back to QVC years ago…way before the craze! My buyer, at the time, didn’t even want to buy them, but I convinced her! The quality is great. The new colors are coffee bean and olive…black, of course. Wear them with the anorak, the pebble crepe sleeveless tunic and the faux de chine safari jacket from the last show. There will be lots of new things to wear them with, too. One suggestion…read the womens comments about fit. They fit close to the leg, as a true legging should….. If you like them super close….get one size down..they have lots of stretch. If you want the look, but you don’t want them snug…get your normal size….you don’t want a baggy legging!
The NEW items:
5-A214116….GET READY! THE CLASSIC MENS SHIRT……Same exclusive fabric as the Robyn shirt, same collar with stays [please remove stays before washing, ironing or dry cleaning]. It has a button front placket, one breast pocket, a two button cuff with a sleeve placket and single button and a curved bottom. This shirt is shorter than the Robyn shirt and it has body darts front and back for shape. The colors are the same white as the Robyn shirt and a new solid fabulous chambray blue, [if and when the boho gets reordered next year this will be one of the new colors]. The navy blazer with this chambray blue shirt, my winter white pant, an Hermes scarf and my gold chain jewelry [to come]….PURE CLASS! If you belong to the “white shirt cult”, you must get more than one.
6-A213624, is a wonderful new shirt in a beautiful new fabric. First the fabric…this is my faux de charmuese….97% polyester/ 3% span. If you loved my faux de chine, you will love this. It is the closest thing to real silk charmuese that I have ever found, plus it’s washable and no wrinkles. It is very light weight. If you live in a humid climate and you don’t wear poly….save it for the fall/winter…it’s that pretty. The style: it has a classic shirt collar with a stand. Below the stand is a working drawstring which gathers the front of the blouse for softness. It has a button front and side slits and I would say it is the approx. length of the Robyn shirt. It has a 3/4 length sleeve with an elastic. I will be showing it tucked into the boho skirt with a wide belt, worn out over a pencil skirt and a narrow belt, and worn out and loose over capri pants. It would look great under jackets…like my new crepe jacket with the pearl buttons. The colors: champagne, frosted lilac and pale aqua, which looks great with the aquamarine reorder jacket. I love the look of pale charmuese in the spring. The fabric has a wonderful sheen and lights up the face.
7-A214119, is my faux de chine safari shirt dress. It is the exact fabric as my safari drawstring jacket…so, if you loved that fabric…you will love this….likewise, if you didn’t like it…then you should pass this. It looks very much like my equipment shirt from seasons ago…only long. It has a classic shirt collar and stand, placket button front, long sleeves with a 2 button cuff which can be rolled up with a tab and button, two breast patch pockets with button flaps, a shoulder yoke, POCKETS, double row top stitching all over, side slits and a self tie belt. The colors are: olive and khaki, which are the same as the safari jacket and,….. aquamarine. I love it belted with the self belt or your own, unbelted with the buttons opened a little more and a color tank underneath…….I also like it completely opened with a tank and capri pants……..lot’s of ethnic jewelry, a woven straw bag, great sunglasses and flat sandals, wedges or espadrilles to complete the look. For fall wear it with tights, boots and a complimentary turtleneck. For me this IS an ESSENTIAL.
8-A214118, is an easy fit T-shirt. It is in my cotton /span. It has a modest scoop open neckline, a short sleeve and it’s long enough to wear with leggings. The front is embellished with vertical rows of graduating antique brass discs. The center row being the largest and the discs become smaller in size as they get further from the center….It’s a fun, easy T. The colors are black, white and sage…all with antique brass.
9-A214117, is a crinkle georgette [think boho] safari shirt. It is sheer, so we have provided a matching faux crepe de chine separate tank…that can be worn on its own. It has two breast pockets with flaps and buttons, side slits and straight 3/4 length sleeves that can be drawn or rolled up and held with a tab and button. The buttons are REAL shell buttons that have the look of coconut shell. The colors are black and sage. I LOVE this piece because it’s easy and airy and yes, sexy!….and still, you are covered. It looks fantastic with my black, sage, coffee bean and natural pebble crepe crop pants. It looks equally wonderful worn loose or belted over my boho, my overlay skirt or my pencil skirts. There are many of you who I can think of who are going to LOVE THIS SHIRT. This is truly SUMMER CHIC!
Okay….what would a group be without a print!
For April I have done a baby Cheetah print. What is the difference between this and my other animal prints? The baby Cheetah has much smaller spots and they are closer together….so the over all print is less bold, and it is a beauty that will last and be “IN” forever. For the jacket style, I revisited a very successful jacket from my Linea past. The style was A 69921, a cotton sateen jacket with 4 patch pockets and button flaps, a 3/4 turn back cuff and it came in black, ivory, brown, pink, red, navy, stone and more. It was reordered many times and I’m sure many of you have it in your closets.
10- A214115. This jacket has a classic notch collar, a 3 button front, 3/4 turn back cuffs, two top buttoned flaps and two lower patch pockets with buttoned flaps. It is totally unlined and beautifully finished on the inside with black piping on each seam. The colors are natural, which is a sandy, taupy ground with black spots, blue…which has pale to deeper blues with black spots [jean friendly] and kiwi, which has shades of green just like a kiwi fruit….again black spots. Wear it with a little black dress, a black tank and pencil skirt with the jacket closed and belted…. or any casual way you want…..the new classic white shirt and the black pebble crepe crop pant……shorts, capris, the “go with everything” black boho, the overlay skirt, the new crinkle georgette sheer safari shirt, etc., etc., etc. It’s a terrific little unlined summer throw on.
11-A214114, is the baby Cheetah print top….same jersey as the medallion and the new hydrangea print tops. The hand of this fabric has a new finish….a drier hand that I think you will love. It has a true V-neck, 3/4 length sleeves and an easy shape. The colors are natural and blue….no kiwi. If you have never worn animal prints…this would be a good first piece. Again, great for travel…..wash and wear for sure , yet it is very sophisticated.
12-A214113, is the last of the Cheetah group and something new for me….a printed cardigan. It has a jewel neckline, and a short sleeve. The rib trims around the neckline, the button front, and the hem and sleeve bands are black. Little black buttons finish it off. The colors are natural and blue…. I will be showing the blue combo 2 ways….the first way is very classic….white tank, black capri pants. For the second way, I have belted the cardigan with a skinny black belt and the model will be wearing it over the new navy/blue mosaic reorder skirt. I LOVE the two prints together and it works because the colors are right on. This is something many would never even think to put together, but you would see it in the pages of ELLE MAGAZINE and go…”Oh, I love it this way!”. I can’t wait to hear your feed back. They are two prints that work surprisingly well together….but they do!
That’s it, folks………I hope there are some things that you find irresistible. It is very different from the things I had on my last shows , but there are many things that will work beautifully with your new purchases….Enjoy, Enjoy!
…………………………………………………….much Love Louis
