Transition into Fall

I choose A230028, as one of the pieces to review as you transition into Fall. The fabric is a semi sheer gauze crepe and the colors are ……….BLACK……..COBALT…….Why this piece, because the wearer will immediately look UNIQUE and DIFFERENT from everyone else….the sure sign of a “Designer” piece of clothing. The fact that it can be worn now and for the rest of he year and next….is a major plus. Wear it with a tank and jeans or a turtleneck and jeans…..a white cotton shirt will give it another casual look………..wear it over a dress to church, a luncheon or a business meeting …….or over a sequin top and pants or skirt for dressier occasions……………there really isn’t anything you can’t wear it with……..a perfect top with a WK Tank and leggings. I can only say, if I saw a woman wearing this, I would definitely take a second look…..it is definitely an attention getter………………………………

………………………………………….enjoy………………………….Love…………………………….Louis

“Transitioning to Fall”

HI Everyone…………..We hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! I had HOT DOGS, a HAMBURGER and all the trimmings……as my father would say “a perfect 4th of July”……….Jac had a lovely salad!

Since it is too early for me to post the new July SNEAK PEEKS [the collages aren’t ready yet], I thought it would be a good idea to post some previous pictures of items that would TRANSITION into Fall, and items that there is still some inventory. A233191 is the Feather Jersey pant in the Walnut, Cherry and Olive. The Feather Jersey has garnered some devoted fans and as more and more women give it a try, the numbers are increasing…….Jac included. Her take away wardrobe to Anguilla was 85% Feather Jersey……….. This is a terrific pull-on pant with front draped pleats that cover what you want covered…. in a flattering way……..the pockets are an added bonus and work beautifully in this pant. I think this would be a good pant for my “apples”. Some have sized down one size, and f you are in the camp….that everything runs large, than that would be a good idea….however, these pants were meant to be fluid and have a drape, so I think they are perfect as is. Even though the leg is fluid, these are NOT Palazzo pantsThey work beautifully with all of the Whisper Knit sweater in all of the colors…..personally I love the LIME with the Olive or WALNUT,…..the AQUA and NECTARINE work well too…..and I love theĀ  HOT PINK with the CHERRY. I also love the matching V-neck Feather Jersey tunic, A233190 with the matching pants for a column of color. I just saw, for the umteen time the “MARIGOLD HOTEL” movie with Dame Judy Dench, and many of the tunics she wore over pants were this length. It’s a very common proportion in India………….it’s all what the eye gets used to. I recall, not so long ago, when a woman would NEVER wear a topĀ  that hung below her jacket….not it’s the “modern” way to dress………..it’s all what the eye gets used to………….Since all pf the DARK colors are sold out in the other Feather Jersey pant, I thought it wouls be a good idea to remind those who are interested….that there is ANOTHER PANT…………….ENJOY………much LOVE…………………Louis

POSTCRDS FROM ANGUILLA CON’T

For anyone who may think the Caribbean may be too hot in the summer, let me say…..it’s HOTTER and more HUMID in NYC! The trade winds are always blowing and then you have the incredible water to dip into. One thing Anguilla has plenty of is GOOD RESTAURANTS, and the hotel we stay in, Cap Juluca, grows their own herbs and vegetables. There are also local growers that farm vegetables…..most islands import them. The variety of plants and flowers is outstanding, and they have nature walks with signs posted to let you know the names of each plant…………but…most of the time you could find us sitting under our umbrella reading……only moving …to move the chairs into the shade……………..what a life…….Speaking to the ladies in the office, exclaiming about the views and how beautiful everything was, they confessed that living there they don’t pay much attention…..they need two weeks in NYC’s cement jungle, and then they would really appreciate what they have!
