The GAUZE KNIT DRAPE FRONT CARDIGAN, A233859, is the last in my series of “Gauze Coverups”. The YARN, the GAUGE and the CONSTRUCTION is the same as A233181, the GAUZE SHRUG. Since SWEATERS and SUMMER is somewhat of a dichotomy, but sometimes very necessary, I believe this is the perfect answer to ward off unwanted chills. If you own the shrug you know how GOSSAMER the fabric is. It is just the right weight to shield the skin from the night air or air conditioned rooms. The cardigan has a DRAPED FRONT, which is very feminine and lush looking. Wear it belted or free, depending on the look you are going for at the moment…………The colors above are………………….WHITE……………..THYME……[a soft leaf green]………….a mid shade…..not washed out, but not too strong……a new neutral. For my travelers……….this is the ideal piece to take away. It can be worn casually or over a dress in the evening when going to a wonderful restaurant. The GAUZE DRAPED FRONT CARDIGAN, A233859, is not only BEAUTIFUL….it is very USEFUL……SUMMER SWEATERS……….ABSOLUTELY……………During the hottest days of the summer , we all look for a comfortable air conditioned place to escape. The skin needs to be shielded from the cold air and drafts that we always seem to sit under in movie theaters or restaurants…………….even driving in our cars!…….. If the knit looks familiar, it is the same YARN, GAUGE and CONSTRUCTION as the A233181, GAUZE KNIT SHRUG,….that many of you have fallen in love with. The very fine boucle yarn and the loose knitting….. combines to make the perfect summer coverup. It is slightly sheer, but just thick enough to give you the protection you need, and still it is light as air. The silhouette is easy with the draping down the front, starting at the back of the neck…..just to add a little glamor. Wear it loose and easy or cinch it in for a dressier more dramatic look. I have featured the………..BLACK……….. sweater above with my TOBACCO TANK with the ribbed bottom, avail in black and ivory also, and my BLACK KNIT COTTON/SPAN LEGGING. The reorder PRINT TOP, A222275, is avail. for ordering, and many of you have already ordered, sight unseen, the new Turquoise color combination. This new combination has different shades of TURQUOISE and AQUA and reminds me of the warm waters of the CARIBBEAN. The YELLOW and BLUE are returning and the PINK is avail in limited sizes. FYI, the yellow top looks terrific with the YELLOW DENIM and the blue combo looks great with the LIMOGES BLUE ponte knit. The REORDER T-SHIRT, A215181, is back for purchasing…………..the new color is……………ESPRESSO/GOLD………In the photos above are the ……….BLACK/GUNMETAL…………..NAVY/GOLD……………The fabric is my COTTON/SPAN blend. It is the same fabric I use for my legging. The scoop neckline and the short sleeve hem are trimmed in a stretch METALLIC fabric often used for bathing suits, so it is totally washable.In the photos above I have paired the Black with the Black Boho skirt and my GUNMETAL CHAIN LINK and BEAD NECKLACE, the Navy with White ponte pants…..I won’t even mention what the jewelry is……………..and the new ESPRESSO I have paired with the MUSHROOM FEATHER PRINT GEORGETTE SKIRT…………….don’t save it for the Fall when you can wear it all summer! The jewelry is vintage. Introducing the LACE JACKET, A223652, in the new………………..BLACK………………….The jacket made a big hit last summer and promises to be one again this year. The lace is SUPER SOFT, SUPER LIGHT in weight. All of this makes the jacket SUPER COMFORTABLE…………..in the photo above I have featured the jacket over the BAMBOO LACE DRESS. They are NOT the same lace, nor are the trims on the jacket really bamboo, but it all works together magnificently………it’s just one of those unplanned things…….and many times those are the best!……………because they are not an exact match is exactly what makes the two pieces, worn together, so CHIC.
