I know many of you couldn’t wait for me to post the pictures of THE MAY TORTOISE GROUP, and quite frankly, I was itching to post it myself! I have always had a FASCINATION with turtles, and as a child I had that plastic bowl with island of colored stones and the plastic palm tree in the middle…….to keep my turtles in………… As an adult, I started to collect ANTIQUE ENGLISH TORTOISE TEA CADDIES. The fascination hasn’t ended. I am very happy that Tortoise shells are now illegal to harvest, and in this instance, I am more than happy to use the plastic simulated tortoise. As with everything, there are many different grades and qualities of plastic and many different tortoise designs. If you are familiar with tortoise jewelry, or for that matter anything produced in simulated tortoise, you start to see the differences…….the patterns, the variations in color……the total look separates the good from the not so.

I will be offering you three styles in the Tortoise group……………………..J278135, is the TORTOISE NECKLACE. It measures 36 inches long with the additional three inch extender. For my very petite flowers out there, if necessary, this is a very easy necklace to shorten, BUT ONLY IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. Try doubling it first, because as you can see from the photos above, I LOVE two worn together…..it is such a rich look. I also have a photo of just one, which looks great too……and can easily be mixed with some finer chain necklaces if you like the look…..I know I do. This necklace can also double as a BELT!!!!!…..You know me….I would like two of them worn as a belt. As a matter of fact I would get two and attach them so I would only have one closing and one chain to deal with……………..The earring is, J278136. The “cap” of the earring is in the shape of an upside down TEAR DROP. It has a slight texture to the surface, which I like with the tortoise……it gives the piece character! Unfortunately, they were only bought pierced, but I know there are women out there who are very clever converting pierced earrings to clip on. If it were up to me they would have been avail both ways, but those decisions are not mine……….maybe if they get reordered?????? The earring measures, from the very top of the cap to the very bottom of the tortoise hoop……………3 1/4 inches. The length of the hoop, which will dangle from the ear lobe, is actually 2 1/4 inches. The earring is VERY LIGHT, and you should have no problem wearing these at all………………………THE TORTOISE WATCH, J277865, is a combination of GOLD and TORTOISE…….and it is a beauty. The tortoise has rich deep markings and is very VERSATILE……….it will look great with your ESPRESSO and WALNUT, your OLIVES and WINES, CHARCOAL GREY, CAMELS, BAMBOO and TANS………etc.etc. It is spectacular worn with all white….especially the white safari shirt, which has the raw shell buttons and the new white Boho skirt . The possibilities are endless. It is approx. the same length as my PANTHER LINK watch and has the same extender link. The actual measurement will be posted when the watch is posted. There are many “tortoise” watches out in the market and many “designer” brands are advertising them. I think mine competes with the best of them, and mine doesn’t cost an arm and a leg….LOL. You are already familiar with some of the apparel in the pictures……the TOBACCO TANK which many of you own…….is the perfect backdrop to the tortoise. The black pant is my new FAUX LINEN, that I know will make many of you extremely HAPPY, and my NEWEST GAUZE FABRIC, that I have used in this new KIMONO TYPE TOPPER,……….reminds me of fabrics used by the very avante guard JAPANESE DESIGNERS……It is somewhat SHEER…………light as AIR…… has a wonderful RIPPLED surface…………..and has POCKETS too. It is very important for me to offer you…………a variety of the RIGHT summer cover up pieces……………….This piece is SEASON-LESS…….I guarantee…. this is something you do not have in your closets. It is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT over the new LACE DRESSES……………….but more about this piece later!…………………….Ladies, now that you have seen the MAY JEWELRY offering……………..I ask you to put it out of your minds…..an impossible request I know!……..but…….. you probably won’t be able to purchase any of the pieces until at least the date of my next show, May 14th…..and I’m guessing about that…..so please be patient…………….One last note……….The watch will also come in two completely different materials…………………so…………..catch my post TOMORROW , and I will have pictures of the two other combinations………………………………………………it’s going to be difficult to choose……JUST ONE………………………….

Thought you would like to know the Love knot necklaces, both lengths, are due sometime in Aug, and the multi cross necklace an earrings are due sometime in Sept. I know many of you have been wondering if and when they were coming.

I just checked the Linea QVC site under NEW ARRIVALS, and everything but one has been posted.
A233180, the lace dress, Bamboo/Black, Black/White. The contrast lining is really what is new with lace, and it really “shows” the lace off instead of disappearing.
A233181, the Gauze Shrug in Black or White……a wonderful accessory piece to carry in your tote when needed…..remember store it in a large zip lock bag when carrying it in your tote….so it doesn’t get messed up.
A233185, the Gauze dress, White, Black and Turquoise. I’m warning you….this will go just as fast as the matching asymmetrical hem shirt did on the last show! A perfect beach to dinner dress.
A233190, the Feather Jersey V-neck Tunic. ….Berry, Olive, Walnut. Forget the fact that this type of dressing is the most “in” thing you can wear…..it is the most COMFORTABLE thing you will wear.
A233191, the Feather jersey pant. This is the most comfortable pant you will wear this summer. Some have said it is running big……I did not find my XS sample big at all. I’m not sure if they are confusing the Style with the Size….no matter, if you are more comfortable ordering a size down….that will be fine too. Please look at the zoom in picture of the pant on the Linea QVC site. You will see how flat the pleats lay, while camouflaging the tummy and the hip is smooth. You must try these for yourself….If you agree with me……I guarantee you will be back for all the colors.
A233639 is the ponte pant that matches the new ponte unlined blazer that is so popular with many of you. White, Black and Limoges blue are the colors. DO NOT BE AFRAID of the Limoges Blue. With the black or white jacket and the black or white tank….it looks fantastic or just with the new Black sleeveless v-neck WK and the Black WK kimono….it’s a knock out.
The only item that has not been posted at this time is the Floral dress……some speculate it may be a OTO. I truly do not know…..but since my show is in the 11PM hour…..you never know???????

Jac and I would like to express our condolences to those who perished at the Boston Marathon. Jac was visiting her sister and only a few blocks away, heading home, when she heard the sirens of the ambulances heading to the sight of the blast. Our prayers are with the families of the deceased and those who were hurt by this senseless crime.

The April Gauze Shrug, is A233181. To say that it is LIGHT AS AIR, is an understatement. This is a sweater knit made in a very fine acrylic/nylon boucle……..it has a cobweb effect, and veils the skin…… It just covers the shoulders and the arms……… It is basically a tube of knit with one seam that is left open in the center for you to put your arms in. It is a wonderful piece to own, because it works over everything, for every season, day or night. It is probably the coolest cover-up you could own, and yet for those who want to cover their arms…..there is only a hint of see through. For those, with a larger chest who may think you couldn’t wear something like this…..I say…..if you can wear a raglan sleeve garment…..you can wear this…….. Wear it over tanks, over dresses, over any sleeveless garment you may need a cover-up for………………………………………..The colors are…………………..BLACK…………………WHITE…………………..I would suggest folding it neatly, and putting it in a ZIP LOCK BAG………….put it in your tote and you’re ready to go! If it’s hot and humid and a cover-up is far from necessary….. but then….. you go into a frigid store or restaurant …….for lunch with the girls……reach into you tote and pull it out. I think this is one garment your husbands will give the “nod” to…..it is quite sexy ………without trying to be. This is a great accessory piece, and I think you will be amazed at just how handy and useful it is………scroll down for some additional pictures……………enjoy…………much Love…………….Louis

Above are additional pictures of the April Gauze Shrug, A233181. In the picture to the upper right you can see it folded and placed in a zip lock bag for storage in you tote……Of course when you are storing it at home ……I don’t recommend keeping it in the bag. In the photo to the upper right you can see it worn as a scarf. From the back photos…..you can see how wide the “tube” actually is before it is stitched together for the sleeve portion of the garment. Once again, this is the perfect travel piece and perfect for any and all occasions………….WEIGHTLESS……………….AIRY…………SEXY……………PRACTICAL……..&………..FUN…….what more can you ask from a simple little coverup………….enjoy…………….much Love…………………..Louis
