The FEATHER JERSEY MAXI SKIRT will be avail in a regular length, A233970, and a petite length, A233971. The skirt is pull-on with a full elastic waist. The waist band has a top stitch through the middle to avoid and “flipping” of the elastic. The shape of the skirt is a modified TULIP……….meaning it has a slight shape or tapering like a pencil skirt and then has a slight flare to the hem, which gives the skirt a graceful movement and flow. Why does this shape work better?? When you have a simple, long A-Line skirt there is more fullness at the top of the skirt, and it can become too much fabric when you wear it with longer tops………the tulip shape gives a better line for ALL SIZES. The skirt is half lined with a stretch fabric for maximum movement. You all know the properties of FEATHER JERSEY……it’s light weight, very drapy and is easy care and easy to pack. You can wear it as casual as you like or as dressy as you need, and it can certainly be worn 12 months out of the year, though I wouldn’t think it would be your choice when it’s 110 degrees and humid……other than that …..yes. What you can see in the photography is how beautifully it drapes, what you can’t tell is how incredibly light it is. The colors above are SMOKE and NAVY for the skirts and HEMP and NAVY for the tops. The last two colors to be featured in the FEATHER JERSEY MAXI SKIRT are…………………….OLIVE……………..ORCHID……………..The Olive is a terrific SUMMER NEUTRAL……..think SAFARI…….think……….SUMMER DARKS. It always surprises me how some are surprised by “summer dark colors”. BLACK and NAVY are certainly  colors most wear all year long……why not olive, walnut, smoke and berry……….they are all, what is called, “vegetable dyed colors”, and are very appropriate for summer wear and great for transition…………..certainly if you are a working woman they are colors you need during the summer……they give you a very professional look…..pair them with white , pastels or brights and they take on a whole different look…….I personally love the column of OLIVE, above photo, with the T shirt worn provocatively, slightly off the shoulder…………..The ORCHID is a very SPECIAL color…..it’s a delicate color and looks wonderful with WHITE and LUCITE. Wearing the color head to toe is very summery, and can be dressy if the need arises…….summer weddings……………..or use it as a beautiful feminine accent color as shone above…….it looks great with the olive, smoke, navy and hemp too, for a softer look…….Mix it with last summers faux linen herringbone pieces for an unexpected accent color. ……….Notice the two tiny pictures in the upper left…..one is of the WHITE GAUZE SHRUG……..the other is a sneak peek of the new GAUZE DRAPE FRONT CARDIGAN. The GAUZE KIMONO, A233848, is one of my favorite pieces in the May grouping. It is so darn CHIC! The fabric is a RAYON/NYLON blend and it has a very SPECIAL WEAVE and TEXTURE. The surface has a ripple effect that is achieved with not only the weave, but in the finishing process of the fabric. The attention that is paid to achieve just the right look makes this a truly designer quality fabric……this is FAR from run of the mill!. The color above is………….THYME……….a cool soft green. The cut of the Kimono is very ETHNIC inspired……with a wide band down the front and a unique pocket opening…… that one would find on djellabas. The fabric has a sheerness, yet it is not flimsy. It holds the shape and form well. In the photo above, from right to left………the THYME Kimono is over my white legging and WK tank with the ribs at the bottom……a great look for an island get away! The center photo may be a little more of a challenge and only for tall girls. It is the double pocket tunic in the OLIVE FEATHER JERSEY over the OLIVE FJ maxi skirt……an easier way to wear it would be over the FJ short OLIVE skirt as the next photo shows…..both BELTED and UNBELTED……. it’s a very up town look. Another alternative is the FJ olive T shirt and the short skirt. The GAUZE KIMONO in …………BLACK!…………what’s left to say!! I think the pictures speak for themselves…..the clothes……The SMOKE tank and pant, the TOBACCO tank and the new FAUX LINEN pant…still to come…..the BLACK/WHITE LACE DRESS……and the SMOKE TANK with the WHITE PONTE DRAWSTRING SKIRT………REALLY what can’t you wear with this BLACK KIMONO…..every and any FIESTA WK sweater with a pair of white pants will create a dramatic outfit. I am sure you will come up with a zillion ways to wear it…….let your imaginations GO!……….enjoy…….much Love………..Louis
