My first Sneak Peek for my August 26th appearances is the…….. OTTOMAN SUIT………….The JACKET is…..A236142…. and the SKIRT is… A236143…… Years ago I designed this EXACT suit for Anne Klein, and Jac still wears it. When she saw this new suit hanging in my studio, she said to me, “are you thinking about doing my suit for QVC?” I immediately informed her that this was not “her” suit but the copy I have already done for QVC……To say that she was amazed is an understatement! She began EXAMINING the suit to see if she really liked the interloper…….She started comparing….”does mine have a double zip”……”no” I replied, and so the conversation went. When she asked what colors I was doing it in, I knew I had won her over,,,,,,,,,needles to say she LOVES it!!…..even if she will now have to share it with everyone else…LOL…….. I imagine…. she’s imagining where she is going to wear it and with which girl friends. Ladies, I have chosen THIS SUIT to be my first sneak peek because it reeks DESIGNER…..every detail says DESIGNER. The FABRIC, FIT and SHAPE exude DESIGNER…………………IF you found a suit exactly like this in a Saks or Bergdorfs, expect to pay $2500 easy.

This OTTOMAN KNIT fabric is brand new to my Linea Ladies, and it is ……100% COTTON.As you know cotton prices are sky high, and in order to “knit” this particular type of Ottoman Fabric, the cotton MUST be high grade and CLEAN……you may not know what that means, but trust me …..it means GOOD…….. This PARTICULAR horizontal rib construction is what is known as an OTTOMAN STITCH. It is not thick or bulky at all. Due to the knitted fabric there is plenty of stretch, but also due to the ottoman knit construction, it has structure, substance and is very stable. I will tell you that because of the high price of the fabric, this suit almost did not make it onto the line, but my buyers and my entire team believed in the “product” so much…….”we” all made it work ……enough said……….I will however say, that due to the fact we all “made it work”, this suit is the buy of the century.

Above is the ………….HEATHER GREY JACKET……………it is totally UNLINED. To say that it is very comfortable to wear is another understatement……………..you have maximum stretch with this garment. The jacket has a spread “shirt collar”….no stand necessary……………it has set in band pockets, and BODY SEAMS, front and back…. for a gentle, follow the lines of the body fit. One of the features Jac loved was the ……TWO WAY ZIPPER. It will be fun for you to play with all the variations of zipping or unzipping the jacket in different areas to create different looks. The body seams are top stitched to exaggerate the lines of the jacket. The jacket is approx. 25 inches long for the xs, but always check you QVC garment measurements for accuracy! The Zippers on the HEATHER GREY are GUNMETAL…….so get out you Linea GUNMETAL and SILVER jewelry…..This is one case where I like to keep it simple…….a single LOVE KNOT….or MULTI CROSS NECKLACE will do. Though there is a matching skirt, I do NOT see this jacket worn strictly as a suit. Wear the HEATHER GREY jacket with a white T and BLACK or GREY jeans for more casual outings……….wear it with BLACK SLIM pants for when you want that “uptown” look. It’s a terrific comfortable and versatile jacket that can take on any role you want.

The OTTOMAN SKIRT,  A236143, is a simple affair. It has a back zip with a single button on the waist band…..and a back vent. The skirt measures approx 25 inches from the bottom of the waist band. If you need to shorten, do not worry about the vent being cut off or too short. The skirt has enough stretch , that the vent really isn’t necessary, so it can be closed up or eliminated. Again, the skirt is unlined for maximum stretch and comfort. I think you will find this skirt not only the perfect companion to the jacket, but a TERRIFIC SEPARATE skirt to mix with many things you own………..it’s always good to add another TEXTURE to your outfit……………………..I have added the MUSHROOM WK TURTLENECK to the GREY suit. It is very CHIC. UNDERSTATED and SUBTLE, but gives a STRONG message that the wear is SOPHISTICATED and has an elevated TASTE LEVEL…………scroll down for MORE……………….enjoy………………….much Love………………Louis

This is the suit, or I should say, the color of the suit that Jac has……did you really think it would be any other??? I know some of the pictures look like Charcoal grey, but that’s because of the flash. When I turned the flash off you couldn’t see anything!…..I paired the BLACK with the new TOPAZ  jewel neck WK SWEATER………..TOPAZ and BLACK is one of MY favorite color combinations….I just think it looks rich. Since the zipper on the jacket happens to be GUNMETAL I chose my NEW DOUBLE SIDED CROSS, which just happens to have a TOPAZ stone on one side and a BLACK stone on the other…..did you think it was just a coincidence!!!???….Unfortunately….the Gunmetal SWIRL earring has already sold out in both pierced and clip….but who knows maybe someone will return  a pair….so keep looking.  The SILVER is still avail in one of the versions and the GOLD is avail in both , but EXTREMELY limited!!!  I will also have a GUNMETAL button earring with a TOPAZ stone in the middle, so you may have another chance at a GUNMETAL earring. I will also have one other TOPAZ and GUNMETAL long necklace to mix with the cross….The Gunmetal LOVE KNOTS, now back in stock, look great with this cross too……many alternatives…………The pant is  new and will also be on the Aug 26th show…..I believe on the 11pm show, but don’t hold me to it….things change at the last minute……………..The BLACK OTTOMAN SKIRT is a fabulous separate skirt….it will work with many things, and give interest to your jersey WK sweaters…….. This skirt may be a knit, but as I said before, it has a lot of structure so you will feel very secure wearing it. You can never have enough variety with BLACK SKIRTS……………………………………………………………………………………………..

The last style I am presenting to you of the OLO WHISPER KNIT SWEATERS is, A237405, the JEWEL NECK SWEATER. This, other than the tank and turtleneck, is the most classic of the new styles being offered. This is an any time, any where sweater and certainly works for anyone’s LIFE STYLE. The colors that will be available in this style are………..TOPAZ……….MALACHITE…………IVORY…….BLACK [not pictured]…….and what is becoming the front runner color of the season………….RUBY………..I am sure this will be a work horse in your growing collection of WK sweaters…….when it is listed on the Linea….please check for accurate measurements……………………………………..enjoy……………..much Love………………….Louis

Introducing the brand new WHISPER KNIT SHAWL COLLAR SWEATER, A237409. I have to say, as all of the Whisper Knit sweaters are, this one is made superbly. The body, sleeves and collar are all in the EVERY NEEDLE RIB construction, which for me, is the ONLY way to make this style sweater and especially the fully fashioned collar. I would compare this sweater to any sweater produced in ITALY today. It could not possibly be made any better!!!. This style also features the WAIST WHITTLING RIB BAND that so many love and find very slimming. I think the two major details…..the SHAWL COLLAR and the WAIST WHITTLING band, work very well together………it UPDATES a shawl collar sweater and makes it quite sexy. I have shown the collar three ways…..totally bare with nothing under it…..with a scarf criss crossed at the neck………….and in the photo at the extreme lower left…..wrapped and “pinned” to create a ….higher to the throat look…………..yes that is a pierced earring I used as a pin……they work very well….as long as you don’t have the pin part sticking out into your neck…LOL. If you would like to try wearing it this way, as an alternative., I would suggest steaming out the fold mark in the collar first…..which I did not. I have simply paired the PEWTER sweater with my BLACK CREPE PANT, A232347/A232348 for petites, [the pant never had any air time], and my GREY CHENILLE BLAZER, A218572, which many of you already own. The SWIRL EARRING, used as a pin, is J284008, but it’s going fast. I doubt many of you have a sweater quite like this, so I think it would be a nice addition to your WK collection………………..enjoy………much Love……………….Louis

The second color I am presenting in the WK SHAWL COLLAR SWEATER, A237409, is……… TOPAZ…………and YES, this will match and blend nicely to all of the topaz pieces you already own and the new ones coming. This sweater brings to mind words like CLASSIC, SOPHISTICATED, SPORTY, TOWN & COUNTRY, CHIC………..wear it with jeans or dress it up. I have shown it here with A VINTAGE ETRO SCARF, my BLACK CREPE TROUSERS, A232347/A232348, and my reordered LEATHER & KNIT BLAZER, A228554……………wear it with a BLACK PLEATED SKIRT or a BLACK PENCIL SKIRT, either the new WK A237412, or the acrylic wool blend that many many of you own……wear it with black suede pumps, maybe a chunky heel, black suede shoe booties [close to the ankle please], sleek tall boots….or, yes KATE….even your combat boots………………I know there are many ways you  will discover to mix and match this sweater with lots you already own…………enjoy……….much Love……………………….Louis
