The SHADOW JACQUARD JACKET, A251574, is ALL ABOUT THE UNIQUE FABRIC! This is why designers love their jobs…..always searching for the unique and beautiful fabrics. I new instantly when I saw this particular jacquard fabric that I had to do something in it for you. This is a JACQUARD FABRIC….meaning the design is woven into the cloth….there is no printing involved to produce this. It is very reminiscent of the AVANT GARDE fabrics the Japanese designers love so much. It would be a lovely fabric for a Kimono. It has a very artisan look with it’s highs and lows and shading of color…………in this case grays and blacks…….hence…..”SHADOW JACQUARD”…….If you think it may have lurex in it from the photos….IT DOES NOT. I will tell you now the fabric has a very different hand and touch to what you are used to…..that’s what gives it it’s uniqueness and the ability to hold the shape of the jacket. It is not smooth nor is it a soft fabric with drape. The fabric is constructed but is still very light weight. This is the type of fabric you will either go wild for because of it’s special beauty……….or you won’t understand it at all…..and that’s OK…………not everything can or should be for everybody……..but if you are the one that loves it…..I guarantee you will get compliments when you wear it. It can be casual with black jeans or later with crops or Capri pants………It is definitely work appropriate with dress pants a skirt or dress………..It is a jacket I can see a woman wearing to a concert at Lincoln Center in NYC, and looking absolutely stunning…..and simple at the same time……that’s a very good thing…………….I Know I would give any woman wearing this a double take!…………….The shape of the jacket is perfect for this type of fabric…IMHO……….It is a combination of the WINDOWPANE jacket from seasons passed and the BOUCLE TOPPER from this past fall….yes the one that came in RUBY, MALACHITE and LAPIS. The jacket has a drop shoulder like the topper and a similar shape. The jacket is fully lined and has a 3/4 sleeve…..great for my new WIRE CUFF BRACELET…in either SILVER or GUNMETAL….If you were lucky enough to get one of my Gunmetal earrings you are set………if not I have a “SUPPER HOOP” or as some have dubbed it the “CHUBBY HOOP”…….which will also be coming in the silver and Gunmetal………but I’m giving fair notice…..they didn’t buy a lot. The jacket is approx 26 inches long for the XS……….It also has SLANTED INSET BAND POCKETS. Why do I always bring up the point that the pockets are inset…..because it is a more designer way to construct a garment, and much more expensive way to make a band pocket………something like a bound button hole. These are important details I think you should know and appreciate when you buy a garment…..anyone’s garment. I have the jacket above with a Linea tank and the new BLACK PONTE PANT…..the BLACK PONTE LEGGING and a ballet flat would look super CHIC and super MODERN too….A great BLACK TOTE, the necessary BLACK SUNGLASSES and you will look stupendous!……………………

The second color of the SHADOW JACQUARD JACKET, A251574,  is …………………..BLUE…………………….a midnight blue. I have the jacket with a BLACK LINEA TANK and the new NAVY PONTE PANT….I love NAVY and BLACK…..most designers do. Since the jacket has both colors in it ….it’s easy to understand the combination……The shaping of this jacket is very SUBTLE…..with HIDDEN DARTS that disappear into the fabric. The jacket has four buttons down the front. I personally like the jacket worn with just the top button closed….it’s less uptight. I can see this jacket worn on all women no matter the height or body shape……………..Above, I have two strands of my BLACK GRADUATED BEADS, J270117, that work beautifully on this jacket…. as well as many things coming. My BLACK DOMED STRETCH SLICE BRACELET will also give the right finishing touch……………………….

FIRST….the name “boyfriend”, for me, is deceiving. I have always designed and thought anything  called “boyfriend”….a jacket…..a shirt….a SWEATER…..as having the look of a  garment that was borrowed from your boyfriend/husband etc……therefore the look and fit would and should be OVER SIZED……….This cardigan however is not!…but since this is the name given to it by QVC….we will refer to it as a “Boyfriend Cardigan”…………….The cardigan actually has a LONG & LEAN LOOK. It has a subtle shape, but it is not tight…..It follows the line of the body so it is not boxy or baggy………..YOU SHOULD STILL BUY YOUR NORMAL SIZE…..but….for those with body issues…….please check the body measurement before purchasing!….especially the waist and hip…..If you have large hips you can always leave the bottom buttons unbuttoned….which I prefer anyway……… The approx length for the XS is 30 inches, so feel free to wear it with leggings, slim pants, regular pants, crops, Capris and shorts…….shirts………pencil skirts, Boho and long slim skirts will all work……..Perfect for all of those SLEEVELESS DRESSES!….. I am sure you will come up with many more styles that will coordinate well with this cardigan…………….This is an UPDATED CLASSIC with a definite EDGE………VERY IMPORTANT….The cardigan is made in the “ENR, [EVERY NEED RIB]” construction, which gives the cardigan more structure and makes into beautiful….PATCH POCKETS!!!!………There will be THREE styles of matching WK sweaters that you will be able to wear with this cardigan………………The TANK, which I will talk about when the picture comes up, and the ELBOW SLEEVE MOCK NECK above, A251584, which will be sold……..OLO…….this month, so be on the look out. I never know when they are going to post the OLO items. Most of the time you EAGLE EYES spot them before I do!!!! LOL. The MOCK NECK is approx 24 inches long for the XS…….24 inches is considered, in the design world, as the classic length for basic sweaters. The sleeve and the mock neck are RIBBED for the PERFECT FIT….not too tight and not too LOOSE………which gives the garment a more youthful appearance. This sweater also has the……WAIST WHITTLING RIB BAND, which so many of you prefer, because of it’s slimming effect. It is due to the rayon/nylon blend of the WK that these ribs work so well. The yarn itself keeps the ribs soft to the touch and prevents  gripping…….so the sweater is very comfortable, especially the mock neck.

YESYESYES………..the little FISHY is coming back!!!!…………and this time it will be offered in SILVER TOO!………………Again, it is double sided with one eye being YELLOW, as above, and the other side being BLUE. For those of you who missed out on the GOLD FISH PENDANT…………..that will be coming back too……….I would suggest ordering as soon as you see it so you don’t have to wait another year……..It will be coming in late Spring. The RED BOYFRIEND SWEATER, A251578 and the RED TANK, A251579………………….This is a PURE RED….a pigment red which is the purest of the PURE. It is not YELLOW,  ORANGE or BLUE. For those who own the RUBY from Fall….this is a lighter, brighter, clearer RED……….a true SPRING/SUMMER…..RED……….I truly can’t think of anyone who would not look good in this color….even RED HEADS! “They” are calling it a tank, but tanks have a scoop neckline…..this is a SHELL WK SWEATER. It has more of a modified BALLET or JEWEL NECKLINE……………….This too is 24 inches long for the XS. It has an easy,  SLIGHTLY fitted shape as the photos show. There really isn’t more for me to say other than this is one of those basic collectable sweaters that everyone needs to  layer, mix and match or where on it’s own . This “tank” will be avail. in ALL of the COLORS the CARDIGAN comes in to create your new Spring/Summer sweater sets……………..I know some will say…”I don’t wear sweaters in the summer”….and I say….”WHY NOT?”….When you go to the movies and restaurants etc etc where the air conditioning is cranked high, and  when the temps are up in the 80s and 90s outside or the air conditioning in your office and car is so cold the windows fog……what do you put on? Why not a WK cardigan? I know some are thinking Spring merchandise now??? It’s still snowing out!!! I understand, but this is the way retailing has been for years and years. Many of us DESIGNERS have argued that point to exhaustion, but stores just can’t get together on this universal change in deliveries…. For it to work and to sell timely clothing…..meaning fall/winter clothes during the fall/winter, and spring /summer during the spring/summer…..they would all have to do it together. Th European stores used to sell during the season, but they too had to change due to the American retailers. The European designers didn’t want to ship their clothes months after the American designer shipped theirs…..So, think of it this way….we have turned the bend and we really only have two and 1/2 more months to go before SPRING. If you don’t take advantage of what is being offered now it may not be around latter………………………….Now….I know you are ogling the NEW NECKLACE!!!!! Yes it will be yours late SPRING…………..If you look real close you will notice I have layered TWO NECKLACES………one is VINTAGE from my collection, and the other is LINEA!
