The APRIL 3rd shows at 2PM & 6PM are right around the corner….so I thought I should get the sneak peeks going!………………………….The first pieces I have chosen are the 51% LINEN/49%RAYON JACKET and PANT….Why these pieces??….because they are the nucleus of the the April grouping…….They work with everything and everything works with them as you will see as I continue with the April Sneak Peeks. Of course the entire April collection doesn’t depend on these two pieces, but they give more dimension and interest to the possible outfits you will be able to put together…….Many of you have asked and asked to bring LINEN fabrics to the Linea Collection….and I have searched and searched for just the right one……so………..why this one. First, it is a wonderful blend of Linen and Rayon which, due to the rayon, gives the fabric a wonderful drape and softness……This looks exactly like many of the Linen fabrics I have used over the years…from Italy….. Some linens can be very crisp and wrinkle a lot. Many Linen lovers understand this characteristic, but this is also the reason it has created Linen non-believers. The fact that it is a blend with rayon……and…..it is an end on end weave, as you can see in the blow up photo, this fabric doesn’t wrinkle like a solid linen, also the bi-color also camouflages any wrinkling that may occur……..does it wrinkle….yes… it is LINEN, but much less and it is much less noticeable……………………..That is the reason I chose this fabric………………………………………………………………………………………

THE JACKET, A253575,  the color ………..BLACK & WHITE ……………The silhouette of the jacket is that of one of your favorites, A233182, the LINEA PONTE JACKET. The detailing is almost the same….the seaming, the top stitching, and the same style of patch pockets……The length is approx 26inches for the XS. The major differences are…..the new Linen jacket has a single button closure, there are long sleeves and the body of the jacket is LINED, but the sleeves were left unlined. I left the sleeves unlined so they can be easily rolled up for a more relaxed attitude and it is much COOLER…… LINEN …IS one of the coolest fabrics you can wear……..that  is why it is worn in countries around the world with the hottest most humid climates.  There are snap out shoulder pads TOO……All the details are here….nothing was left out or forgotten. THE PANT, A253578……and it will be avail. in PETITES too, but I do not have the style number for the petite pant……………The pant is unlined for maximum drape and coolness. It has a front zip, trouser pockets and an approx. 9 inch leg opening, [18 inches total]……a relaxed summery pant………. The inseam for the reg. is approx. 31 inches with a 1 1/4 inch hem. Due to the fact that their is no stretch to this fabric…there is a back elastic and a partial front elastic. Instead of a darted front….the dart has been left open like a small pleat for more ease……..These are numerically sized, and I recommend you buying your regular Linea size. I also love these pants with a PRESSED FRONT PLEAT, but they do look good either way………In the photos above I have used the WK STRIPE SHORT SLEEVE sweater in BLACK & WHITE, A253410……..and for my more adventurous and fashion forward ladies….the new PRINT CROP PANT, A253578. This is the same beautiful cotton/nylon light weight blend that I used for the BIRD and FLORAL prints of last summer……..There really are endless ways you can combine so many things you own, or the new pieces coming up. with this jacket and pants…..just add a FIESTA color WK for a totally different look……..Silver, gold, gunmetal and all kinds of color jewelry works with these clothes. I have chosen the GUNMETAL CHAIN HOOP EARRING, J267610………………I couldn’t  be more pleased with the fabric or the way these pants were manufactured…..I hope you agree…………………………………………………………….

The color……..TWIG………is one of my main colors for the Spring/Summer season. You have already seen the Twig WK shrug and tank….the Twig rayon jersey tank and skirt…..the Twig cotton knit span legging, all of which work with the TWIG LINEN/RAYON Jacket, A253575, and Pant, A253578. Above, I have one of my favorite combinations TWIG and BUTTER. The Butter WK short sleeve V-neck A233944 will be coming in June. In the mean time there are plenty of things you can wear with these pieces…..the poly/span jersey floral top in Twig and Gray works perfectly as does the TAUPE BOHO, A 70208, shown above. I also love the look of the SEED BEAD NECKLACE, J278123 in the natural combination of gold and tortoise. CHILI PEPPER CHILI PEPPER CHILI PEPPER….over the last three years it has become one of my most popular colors………..and everything you may have purchased in this color works with these pieces…..I’m thinking of the PAISLEY PRINT SKIRT and SCARF TOP…………the GEORGETTE CRINKLE SAFARI SHIRT, the SELF TIE SHIRT JACKET, and the BOHO SKIRT etc etc……….Now there are a range of WHISPER knit sweaters that will work back to this Chili Pepper jacket and pant…………..The Chili Pepper and White short sleeve cardigans, A253409 mixed and matched with the Chili Pepper and White ENR tanks, A253408, layered under the jacket give the sharp contrast that high lights the jacket. The Chili pepper WK Kimono and C.P. or WHITE ENR tank is another alternative to wear with the pant. The white jeans, A252357, coming in April and the White Cotton Sateen slim pant, A254640 coming in May are the perfect bottom to the Chili Pepper Jacket and  the Chili Pepper and White WK  sweaters……….The Chandelier earring, J270116, is the perfect match!………………………………………………….

How COOL and REFRESHING is this BLUE!………………Mix the jacket and pant with the WHITE DENIM VEST, A252356, the new PRINT PANT, A253573, the WHITE JEANS, A252357 all shown above……….and there are new WONDERFUL pieces to mix and match coming in April. The THREE BUTTON BLAZER in the CREPE fabric, A221808, has returned and is available to be ordered……………..The new color is……………..PEWTER…………The Pewter jacket is adorned with GUNMETAL SIGNATURE BUTTONS. Many of you have this jacket in the colors that were offered in the past, and the reviews are terrific. This is now the third or fourth year, [can’t remember they are flying by], I will be offering this jacket to you. All of the details are listed on the Linea site. This is a fully lined, TAILORED jacket with three patch pockets. Due to the crepe fabric it is a SOFT jacket…it does not have a crisp or rigid hand. It looks like a jacket “Made in Italy”, especially in this pewter color. I have it shown above with the matching trouser pant, A253576, which has an inseam of approx. 32 1/2 inches with a 1 1/4 inch usable hem [with a hem tape attached], and a 10 inch bottom opening…..so they are very languid soft trousers. They have a front zip….no pockets….of course elastic in the waist band. The tank is the reorder of the FLECKED TANK, A22478, in the new color……SILVER GREY……………PERFECT with this suit…….The necklace is the J287999 in the SILVER TONE….It has clear faceted stones with silver metal beads and silver pearls…….again….perfect with this suit…..fragile, light, elegant, sophisticated…..and still makes a strong statement……it is still avail, but there are very few left….the pink version sold out long ago and frankly I’m surprised there are any of this color left….I’m sure not for long………….Remember……these are SPORTSWEAR pieces, and though you can wear this Pewter as a suit, you should also separate the pieces and use with other things you own. The pant is easy to put with other things you have. The jacket needs a little imagination. The most obvious would be a white shirt to WK sweater and a black bottom…..That is a fabulous timeless look and always CHIC. Pair it with Ivory crepe trousers, which are new and will be avail on the April show, and any color WK sweater……from ivory, butter, perfectly pink. lavender, mint aqua….to stronger colors like RED…..You must make your clothes WORK for you no matter what your lifestyle is…a white T-shirt, a pair of jeans and flats would work for anyone………………………..scroll down………………..enjoy…………………..much Love…………………………….Louis
