Hi everyone……….There are 39 flags in all of the picture so for those of you who counted more I think you may have mistaken a red geranium for a flag….LOL….for those of you who counted less…..you may need a magnifying glass….LOL………..It has been a spectacular weekend, and promises to be a beautiful Sunday. Last night there were fireworks in the local harbor and we could see the flotilla of boats sailing right in front of our  house on their way to find a good viewing spot. The fireworks were great and afterwards, as the boats sailed away, they all blasted their horns in appreciation……….I had my two HOTDOG! Now I’ll have to wait another year to get my hotdog fix!………I had heard early predictions of a HOT/WET summer, but so far the weather here in New England has been, in general, wonderful……knock on wood…………My father would say after the 4th of July it was “the countdown to fall”. As a child that was not what I wanted to hear, because that meant school was right around the corner too. Now, I know there is still plenty of summer ahead, but I can’t help  hearing those words in my head! Since I’m already planning the fall shows….Aug. 1st is the first full fall show……….I guess it isn’t that far away…………..Winter always seems so long and summer so short, but I plan to enjoy every minute……………..

HAPPY 4th OF JULY EVERYONE!!!!!!………………….This summer is flying by………….where did June go?………….The 4th is one of my favorite Holidays. The only day of the year I’m allowed to eat a Hot Dog!!! As my father always said, “the 4th wouldn’t be the 4th without  hamburgers and HOT DOGS”….and a little ice cream to finish it off!……truer words were never spoken……….Due to the weather the fire works were canceled until tomorrow night, but thanks to Mother Nature we had a HUGE light show last night in the way of LIGHTNING!!!!! Today is calm and the skies are supposed to clear nicely by the time the NYC MACY’S  fire works are to start. We will be watching, with the girls, on TV. Jac and I hope you all have a fun filled SAFE day…………….Mother Nature……………..no more hurricanes and fires please!!!!!…..a little game for you……how many flags are in all of the pictures….hint……even a part of a flag counts………..God bless…………..much Love………………….Jac & Louis

Dear Dariann……….I just saw on the news the horrific fires in the Napa Valley. I hope they aren’t anywhere near you…..stay safe……………To all of my friends in the path of Hurricane Arthur…..please do what is necessary to be safe. It’s coming my way, but hopefully will go out to sea and all we will get is rain……………Be careful out there everyone!………..much Love, Louis

…………………………..TRANSITION…………………”passage from one state, stage, or place to another”…………in  this case the passage of SEASONS……….Transitional clothes are simply garments you wear when transitioning from one season to another…… the end of SUMMER to FALL…………..Clothes you will want to wear the end of August through the Fall…..When you transition once again from Fall into Winter, and again Winter to Spring. Of course, the change  in weather is felt more in some areas of the country then others…..requiring  more of a drastic change in clothing…… but it  is also  a psychological change. When the seasons change, no matter where you live, your selection of clothing will change too. Sometimes, especially for those who live in warmer climates, it’s just a matter of changing  colors…………………….The COTTON/SPAN TUNIC with the WOOD BEADING, A255672, makes for the perfect “transition” garment……..Many of you know the fabric well…….It is my 92% cotton/ 8% span blend……..the same fabric I have use for my leggings, tunics, T shirts and most recently the V-neck T shirt dress……I would say the fit of this tunic is most similar to my cotton/span tunic, A251588, that many of you already own. The major difference is this tunic is shorter…..measuring approx. 30 inches for the XS….Like the other tunic…this has inseam pockets and like the other tunic the pocket bags are stitched through and through so there is no flopping around of the bags on the inside of the garment. The sleeves are 3/4 length……………………………….What makes this tunic top stand out and gives it a uniqueness is the HAND SEWN WOOD BEAD DESIGN…………….The inspiration for the design came from AMERICAN INDIAN SQUASH BLOSSOM patterns………The embroidery becomes your beautiful necklace……….all you may need is an earring and some wonderful cuff or bracelets…..preferably wood…,..sorry, I can not offer them to you….but I can offer the J278134 which thew Q calls “beige”?….it’s anything but beige!…………..I see this tunic worn for many occasions…. or no special  occasion at all………..You can wear it casually with a pair of jeans or shorts…or to the office,  to lunch, to dinner, to church….or whatever party or get together may arise. Above, I have it shown with three different Linea bottoms. From  left to right….the WK LATTE PENCIL  SKIRT, A253411, the IKAT PRINT SKIRT in the COFFEE BEAN/LATTE combination, A254441, and the LINEN BLEND PANT in the TWIG, A253380…….All of these bottoms accentuate and highlight the colors of the wood beads………………It is certainly an ARTISAN piece…..an eye catching tunic, and sure to garner you many compliments………….This tunic may be on my PM Style appearance on July 28th….I’ll keep you posted. …………………………………. scroll down………..enjoy……………….much Love…………………………………………………………..Louis

…………………..I am very fond of SANGRIA!!…..especially this time of year when the fruit is is getting ripe!………….This Sangria tunic, A255672, is a beautiful combination of BLACK LACQUER WOOD BEADS combined with BLEACHED IVORY WOODEN BEADS……….the look is striking……………I do want to say the actual color of the Sangria is not as deep, bright or intense as the photos!. I tried to photograph it with the flash and without, but alas I couldn’t capture the actual color which is softer and not nearly as intense or bright…..I don’t want to deceive you or have you disappointed when you get it……….Make NO mistake…..it is still a FABULOUS color and with the wood beads there is a certain authenticity……the colors of an antique NAVAJO BLANKET!!………..Above, for a fun way to dress,  I have it shown with my BLACK COTTON STRETCH WALKING SHORTS, A254313….All you will need to complete the look is a pair of fabulous black sandals or wedges, a black or straw tote….and the mandatory black sunglasses…….everyone needs to wear sunglasses!!!!……. There are many alternatives to the shorts as you would guess….The pebble crepe crops, the CAPRI length cotton span legging, A255122, the cotton/span long legging, A252344, the COTTON SATEEN CROP PANT A254640 in the Black , and the PONTE slim pant or legging…..and any BLACK short skirt such as my WK pencil, A353411, will give a wonderful dressed up look…….a pair of black patent sling backs would be perfection….peep toe or closed……..Sangria anyone?………..
