………………..I first did this exact size shawl at Anne Klein in 1990. It was first offered in IVORY, BLACK and SCARLET 100% Cashmere Jersey, and they went with both day and night outfits all in columns of color…..Cashmere maxi coats and turtlenecks worn over short skirts with matching tights and knee high boots. For evening I showed them with floor length Cashmere Jersey dresses…..very covered up long Turtleneck dresses or very bare slips with criss cross string LOW backs….12 different dresses in all walked the runway…..the last 6 in SCARLET……The matching SHAWLS were THE KEY ACCESSORY!……My philosophy of design has not changed over the years………….CLASS is CLASS no matter what the date……..Columns of color are not a fade….It is a way of dressing that does not depend on what is IN or what is OUT…..In my fashion vocabulary there is no such thing as” in” or “out”. If you, as a designer, are going to design something that is going to be OUT in a season or two, then it wasn’t worth designing in the first place. In my vocabulary…..I use words like TIMELESS, SOPHISTICATION, CHIC, CLASS…..Yes, maybe words that you have heard over and over again, but for me they never loose their meaning or power…..It is up to you to decide what “fashion road” you want to take. There are no wrong turns or paths. Everyone is an individual and should decide what their style is. If you so choose to travel along with me down my “fashion path”, I can only promise you that you will always feel well dress, TIMELESS, SOPHISTICATED and CHIC………………………………The OLIVE SHAWL, A259111, continues to be that KEY ACCESSORY! It adds the drama to that COLUMN OF COLOR that I keep talking to you about…..Besides being glamorous….it will be one of the most practical pieces of clothing you may own. Reading and seeing what is going on weather wise around the country…..SIX FEET OF SNOW in the Great Lake areas of NY State gives me a major CHILL…..and it’s not even Thanksgiving yet! Holey Moley….get out your shawls ladies and wrap up….you’re going to need them!…………………Happy Holidays…………………….Louis
