…………………………………The NEW LINEA LEISURE PANT is A268243. The style of this pant is a pull-on, and the top band construction is similar to my new slim pant. There are two very important features of this pant that make it “fashion forward”……..The first feature is the boot cut leg. The boot cut has recently taken a back seat to the slim pant and leggings, but no longer…. You will be seeing many many BOOT CUT pants this coming fall, as well as WIDER leg pants. It’s not that the slim leg or the legging is passe….they are still very important pant silhouettes, and play a major part in putting a specific look together, but the BOOT leg and WIDE leg will be taking an important place as well…….They are the BIG NEWS…..VARIETY is what’s happening!………….The RACING STRIPE or TUXEDO stripe on pants, the second feature, showed up on many runways, and is a detail that is being used for both casual pants and dressier pants……and accessories too………….Deciding on the proper length of these pants was a major discussion………For me…there is NOTHING worse than a boot cut or wide leg pant that is TOO SHORT…..It looks like you are waiting for the flood to arrive. A slim pant that is on the short side is much less offensive than a short boot cut pant…You will see Fall slim pants hit the leg from just below the ankle to inches above….they are all correct…My boot cut pant will have a 32 inch inseam…….Sorry there will not be a petite length [not my decision] or tall, so I went with a length that should work for most women, even if they have to be shortened.. I felt that this style pant can always be shortened, but there is no way to lengthen it. Where should this pant hit on the foot????? I know many of you thought Lisa Robertson wore her boot cut pants too long, and her entire foot was covered. The reason for that was the opening at the bottom of the pant was very wide. I would rather see a pant at the length she wore them than too short. The shortest it has been shown on the runways is BREAKING ON THE FOOT…..the longest has the pant dragging on the floor. I do thing the pant should either graze the top of the foot or break on the foot…..NO SHORTER……You will be seeing a variety of leg openings……that is the measurement at the bottom. They will range from extreme to moderate. I would consider my pant to be moderate. It is still a slim leg with a modest spread at the bottom, which I think is the best look for this kind of casual pant. These are fabulous pants to wear with the new HOODIE as a track set, or on their own as accents to things you own or other things that are coming……Just some of the things I see wearing these pants with are: the HOODED PONTE BLAZER, A237551 [check out the video with Brenda], the Ponte TOP with Pockets, A237398….the COTTON/SPAN TUNIC, A262037….the BLACK LEATHER BLAZER, A228559….the LINEA LEISURE BUTTON FRONT JACKET, A262035……the BLACK OVER SIZER WK SWEATER, A257356, and A265576 the IVORY/BLACK SAILOR PULL OVER with any of the color pants…..and there are lots more you can mix with these pants….all you have to do is try….The pant will be avail in three colors all with BLACK tuxedo stripes………POMEGRANATE……..TOBACCO……..or…… SLATE BLUE………..For the NILE GREEN HOODIE and the AMETHYST HOODIE I recommend my solid BLACK Linea Leisure pant that has been reordered…. or the L.L. Black Boot Skirt, A262069…..This Boot Cut pant is very slenderizing, and the column of color with the Hoodie and pant together should add length to your silhouette……besides they are just so comfy to wear in your leisure time……actually any time………………………………………enjoy……………….much Love……………………………….Louis
