………………….The FALLING LEAVES & EARRING SET……..J325475, is coming at the end of the month, early Aug……With OLO [ on line only] items I never know for sure when they will be posted……….The Falling Leaves necklace and earring is a new direction I am taking in jewelry…..a more DELICATE direction. Does this make statement necklaces obsolete?…absolutely NOT……Do you wear one style top or T shirt or sweater…..I’m sure the answer is a resounding NO……”Variety is the spice of life”…..So why the new direction? I was feeling with the surge of more casual clothes there was going to be a need for a different type of jewelry…….something less serious, lighter, airier…..less of a statement….. I know many have gotten used to seeing or even wearing statement necklaces with causal clothes, but it definitely makes casual more dressy……This new direction in jewelry was meant to be comfortable worn both ways….casual and dressy…whichever you chose….When you are going out for errands, and just want something simple to wear without making such a major statement….this is the necklace to wear…..This is the necklace to wear with T’s, Hoodies etc……..Of all the colors this Leaf set is avail in the RUSSIAN GOLD is probably the dressiest. It takes on the look of something that may have been worn in ANCIENT ROME or GREECE. The leaves have a hand made ARTISAN look…..The necklace is approx. 40 inches long to 43 inches long with the extender. This length will give you many options on how you can wear it, as you can see from the photos above. It looks wonderful as a single strand worn long…..doubled around the neck….. cross body [this will only work for small women]…..or even as a belt [ but that will take a little manipulating]……..With a set of two….the look immediately becomes more dramatic. The photos on the left show two necklaces worn different ways…..two long, two doubled, two that are worn one long and one doubled…and cross body in different directions. The necklace and earring are SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT, so for those of you who take that into consideration…..these pieces are feather weight. The actual leaf itself has a wave effect so it catches the light, and has a wonderful gleam. You can see from the profile of the earring, which is the same component as the necklace, just how thin and delicate they look……However delicate they may look….they are strong pieces.The chain I chose for this necklace is delicate also…but not whimpy. I think the proportions are perfect…….It doesn’t matter what size or how tall you are…….this is a necklace that works for everyone…..I think you will have fun trying the necklace different ways and even combining it with pieces you already own……We are offering the EARRING as a set with the necklace because it was more cost efficient not to price the earring separately with separate boxes, and shipping. The Leaf is approx. 2 1/4 inches long and is pierced only. Again, it is the same component as the necklace and these are very very light weight….you won’t even know you are wearing them……not until someone says “what pretty earrings”. If the earring isn’t for you it will make a wonderful gift. ………………………..We, my buyers and myself, felt the FALLING LEAVES NECKLACE & EARRING SET, J325475, was important enough to do in all of the metal colors….so SILVER was a definite. In the photos above you see the Silver necklace/s worn the same way as the Russian Gold, but this time in the photos to your right….I have the SILVER and GOLD worn together……..The old taboos of not being able to wear different color metals together is a thing of the past……It went the same way as “what will the skirt length be for the season?’ Remember that??…….Do your own thing…..wear YOUR things the way you want and what makes YOU happy!……………………………enjoy………………….much Love………………………….Louis

……………………….GUNMETAL………………Each color metal has its’ own CHARACTER and its’ own IMPORTANCE……..IMHO one does not take the place of the other, and eventually you should have each color represented in your jewelry wardrobes. The Gunmetal worn with the Silver almost looks like a SHADOW, and adds depth………Single…Doubled….or Mixed metals……there are lots of ways to enjoy your “edgy” Gunmetal Leaf necklace……………………enjoy………..much Love…………………Louis

……………………………………CHOCOLATE…………..is the newest metal color on the horizon, and one that isn’t often seen……That’s what makes it even MORE IMPORTANT. There is a warmth that comes from this deep coppery color that just doesn’t happen with any of the other metal colors….that’s why I consider CHOCOLATE an ESSENTIAL. There is nothing as pretty as Chocolate on your browns, terracotta, cinnamon, tobacco, spice, and topaz colors……It’s also a wonderful accent to many other colors. That’s the fun of dressing…..experimenting with things you haven’t tried before…like CHOCOLATE and GUNMETAL mixed together………….Accessories can bring an outfit to life and give you the individual statement you should be making………………………………………………………………………………………………………..enjoy……………………much Love……………………….Louis

  …………………I am always up for a challenge!……………With the popularity of the CRINKLE GEORGETTE SAFARI SHIRT, A214117…..I challenged myself to come up with a version that many would wear year round……….The main focus was the fabric.  I had to find the perfect fabric…..a georgette that wasn’t see through, but was still light weight, and airy enough to wear during the warmer months……CHECK……..Then the shirt itself. The only change to the original design was the sleeve. Instead of the 3/4 roll-up sleeve with the tab…..I decided on a classic long sleeve with a buttoned shirt cuff. Every thing else is EXACTLY THE SAME. The same REAL SHELL BUTTONS WERE USED….The same POCKETS and FLAPS…..the same SIDE SLITS..The same FAUX DE CHINE TANK that comes with the Safari Shirt….down to the lingerie straps on the inside of the tank straps! Again, this can be worn completely open as a SHIRT JACKET, or buttoned up…..worn out or tucked in….whatever your preference. July is the season to start thinking about TRANSITIONING from one season into another. Does that mean summer is over….not for me, and not for you, but as we come to the end of July, when this will be offered, Aug. comes  and goes by very quickly. Sept is the time we think about clothes that have no season……clothes that are adaptable………………The color is………………SLATE…..and the style number is, A267863. There are many different ways to wear this Safari shirt, and you can achieve many looks  merely by changing the color you choose for your bottoms. White or a pale Khaki, Tan or Chino…silver gray for now, and later on….BLACK, NAVY or DARK GRAY, such as A255122, the CHARCOAL COTTON KNIT/SPAN CAPRI LEGGING….or the A260034 LINEA BODY LEGGING in the Dark Gray, which is coming back this fall.
