……………………..This Winter Floral looks like a dreamy watercolor painting……an IMPRESSIONIST painting. The delicacy of one color flowing into and overlaying the other, inventing even more colors, takes true craftsmen creating the many screens that are necessary to achieve this translucent, IMHO, astounding print. It takes a certain appreciation to realize, as when you look at a beautiful painting, that this isn’t just a blouse….it’s a piece of art. You will only come to truly understand this when you have this garment in your hands so you can examine and see the detail…I call this a blouse, and not a shirt, because it’s softly tailored…..there is nothing crisp about it….which makes it very feminine……..I know there will be some who will immediately say “this is pretty but it’s not for me, I’m not a print person”. I understand. It is sometimes hard to leave that comfort zone, and take a chance on something that you would never have seen yourself wearing. Many times those are exactly the clothes that give you the MOST PLEASURE, because they make you FEEL different…….I know that there were many who looked at the faceted glass bead necklace in the same way when they first saw it……”no it’s too much color for me, not my style”, but then you gave the necklace a second look, and took a chance. When you got it home you saw that it wasn’t just a glass bead necklace. Each bead has its’ own brilliance, and combining all of them together created something truly remarkable. When I chose the colors for each combination of the print I knew I wanted to create a necklace that wouldn’t only coordinate with the blouse, but the two together would “sing” a beautiful harmony. I chose the colors of the beads to work with each of the blouse colors. There is a symbiosis between the two, but they each have there own beauty and can live happily without the other…….The fabric of the blouse is a new light faux de Chine with stretch that I chose specifically for this print. It has a slight sheen which is very complimentary to the colors…….The blouse is classic in design with a stand shirt collar, long sleeves with button cuffs, and side slits. The xs has a 28 inch length…….In the photos above I have shown the blouse with a simple black pant, but you can be as whimsical as you want. I can easily see this blouse with a tiered crushed velvet peasant skirt that I did years ago [I think it came in black and fuchsia], and I hope some of you still have! Add a fabulous belt, maybe jeweled or embroidered. Some fabulous boots, or a color tight and suede shoe boot in another wonderful color………Add a colorful shawl and you are ready for a Mozart concert in Vienna!!! This is the garment to have fun with, and there are so many ways to wear it. Perhaps you already have my long WK open front cardigan in black with my WK black pencil skirt…….wear it with black tights and some fabulous foot wear. For the more daring try the same outfit with my now vintage lace tights! Fabulous!!…..Next spring/summer wear it open as a shirt jacket, sleeves rolled with a black tank and white jeans [coming this spring 2018]. Make your clothes work for you no matter the season, and PLEASE….PLAY……….. The style number of this little beauty is A295911…………………………….enjoy……………………………..much Love………………………..Louis
