……………THE SUIT……First a story………In Sept of 2017 I was in my studio. I had just received my new set of samples, and they were hung around the room. One of those samples was the BLAZER COAT, A298054……. Jac walked in to see the new clothes and walked right over to the blazer coat….took the black one….tried it on and said, “this is mine!”. It was so Jac. She immediately said you must make a BLAZER in this fabric…..I said don’t you think the fabric is a little heavy for a blazer? She looked at me like I had THREE HEADS. NO! she emphatically said. I have done many fittings for Armani, the king of jackets, and Valentino, and many of the jackets were this weight…….She began to rattle off a stream of designer names that she had worked for that all had jacket this weight. YSL, and Thierry Mugler being just a few of them. I always admired the Mugler sculptured jackets…….”Okay”, I said you shall have a blazer in this fabric, which is the exact same fabric as the Blazer coat and the TRENCH COAT…..Jac never got to see it, but I know she would have taken all three samples and would have said to me, “these are mine!”………If it weren’t for Jac this blazer would have never happened…………………………….She was and always will be my inspiration.

…………..The Blazer, A343162……….As I have already said is made in the Trench coat and Blazer coat fabric. It truly is the perfect marriage of design and fabric. The fabric SEWS and TAILORS like a dream……..I want you to know I paid attention to every detail of this jacket. Tailoring is very important to me, and I wanted to make sure THIS JACKET  was tailored exactly as I wanted….no steps or details were skipped or left out….This is a Three button jacket, and you can button it as you choose. Button all three for a more severe fitted look…..button the top two which is how most will wear it….or just the top button for a more relaxed look….You can ALWAYS tell the BALANCE of a jacket when it is worn open….Please note how straight the front hangs when the jacket is open……Please notice the SHOULDER LINE…..I used a very specific should pad, and made sure the SLEEVE CAP filler was used [often left off] so a smooth shoulder was created…..Please pay attention to the COLLAR and LAPEL. It is made with precision. The BAND POCKETS do work and are perfectly placed. There are no buttons on the sleeve to make it easy if the sleeve needs to be shortened……..NOW…….this blazer does not come in petites, not my choice. Therefore I ask the very petite women to use your better judgement if this jacket will work for you are not. I am sure in your heart of hearts you know if this jacket will work for you or not. I don’t want you to get it home and be disappointed. That said, it can be shorten, both sleeve and length of jacket if you want to invest in the alterations. I think it is worth it…..These quality jackets don’t come often and are hardly ever reordered………..The SHAPE……..This blazer has princess seams and body darts in the front. It has princess seams in the back plus a center back seam. There are lots of seams to custom shape this blazer if you so do desire. I tried to show the shape in the photos, but it really is impossible to achieve……There are so many ways to wear this black blazer! I have it shown over the magenta and slate blue SHADOW FLORAL BLOUSES, with both the matching pant and JEANS……Wear it over your dresses, and skirts both long, short, or flared …..even over your printed skirts!……..This is the uniform of many French Women…..the BLAZER…the dress pant or jeans……..TIMELESS, and always in style.

………….The PANT, A343163. First….now this is important. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again……..THIS BLACK PANT HAS DOUBLE DUTY…..It is the pant that creates the “Suit” since it is in the same fabric and color as the black blazer……BUT…..It is also the pant that will go with….THE TUXEDO JACKET coming in OCT!…same fabric!…..It is a tailored trouser. Flat front with a zipper and button waist band. There are trouser pockets that add no bulk…..and a back elastic for stretch and comfort. It basically is a straight-ish leg…….It will also be avail in PETITES!

…………Ladies if you own only one suit…..this IS IT……..It truly is a beautifully made garment, and looks and feels like many that I made at Anne Klein for four times the amount of money. It will last forever!…………………………….enjoy……………………….much Love…………………..Louis

………………The MUSHROOM SUIT………………….When I asked Jac what colors she would like to see in this suit, other than black, TAUPE was her first choice. Jac thought it would look very Armani, and Jac was right………I guarantee if you walk down Via Monte Napoleone in Milan, Italy….the Fashion District…..no one would think you were a tourist!…..Wearing the whole look with the ORCHID SHADOW FLORAL blouse, and the Multi color Faceted bead necklace, J356989, with a Milan attitude……is very MILANESE!………The jacket and or pant can be mixed with so many other things and colors………….All you need to do is PLAY!…………………………enjoy……………..much Love……………………….Louis

……………..When, to my surprise, the buyer asked me for a third color for this blazer….PORT was my immediate answer. It is such a deep rich color, and I already new it would be beautiful because of the Port coat, photo to the upper right……..Now, there isn’t a port pant in this fabric, and that was done on purpose. There was already the PORT Super Ponte BC pant, and the Port WK Pant plus the Port WK new pencil skirt…..so there are many many options to create a suited column of exquisite color look….and THEY ALL WORK!……..The PORT BLAZER with the BLACK PANT and the BLACK ASYMMETRIC NECKLINE MOSS CREPE TOP, A341728…..is so darn CHIC! ……………………The A295912, print top is returning and is avail right now! It will be on my Sept.7th, 6:00pm show on QVC1…….I have often thought of this print as if you were looking through a window on a rainy day. The rain is blurring the view, and creating a lovely pattern…………….Jac and I always loved those rainy days in autumn. When it was all over there was a strong lovely smell of earth in the air….Somehow this is a scent that only comes at this time of year. I think it’s the combination of the wet soil and the fallen leaves……The “BLUE” faceted glass bead necklace looks wonderful on the print….just enough of a statement…………..I hope you like my newest versions of this “Rainy Day” print………………enjoy…………much Love……………………Louis

………….It’s called RED, and there is definitely red in it, but the over all look is persimmon. There are darker colors like Port, Merlot and Wine…..so all of those bottoms will work. This is definitely a “warmer” autumnal coloration……perfect for all of you red heads!…..A perfect transition coloring into Fall/Winter and all the Holidays to come…….Halloween and Thanksgiving especially……….The BERRY faceted bead necklace looks perfect with this top……..You will find that all of the colors that are avail. in this necklace find new homes with every outfit you create!……………………………enjoy…………………..much Love…………..Louis
