…………………….Let’s go over the details of the FAUX SUEDE TRENCH COAT, A370421………………First, if you already own one of my trench coats, either the short version or the long version, this coat has the exact same details. Actually, this trench is exactly like the short version………..Starting with the silhouette…….It is a classic DOUBLE BREASTED coat. It has PRINCESS SEAMS front and back to give the coat a gentle shape. When the coat is  not belted you still have a nice shape to the coat. You may want to tie the belt in the back with just a double knot. I find that it is easier to tie the belt before putting it on. Maybe laying the coat on the bed and tying it would be easiest, cinching the belt as much as you want….These princess seams also prevent the coat from getting bulky when you do tie the belt in the front…There will be a demonstration of belt tying on Face Book……You have a classic TRENCH COLLAR with STAND. The stand has a METAL HOOK and EYE to close it up on windy days……There are traditional EPAULETTES on each shoulder. If you like you can put the strap of your shoulder bag through the epaulette to free up your hands. This is what the soldiers did with their rifles during WW1………..Next you have the flaps front and back. These give you added protection………When you button the coat completely REMEMBER the coat gets fully buttoned, and then you take the front flap and button it over the coat onto the top button so everything lays flat……..The sleeve straps can be cinched or not. They were used to keep the cold and wind from going up the sleeve. For women with shorter arms it also helps to shorten the sleeve a little……..There are FRONT POCKETS with buttons for security…….There are TWO SETS OF BELT LOOPS. These are for you to place the belt where it is most comfortable……..Tying a belt is personal. I like the side loop. I think it gives the coat a very sophisticated and chic look….There is a BACK VENT for easy walking and getting in and out of cars…………..The coat is FULLY LINED…………………….If you have any further questions I’m right here. …………………………The group of jewelry above I call “BYZANTIUM” It consists of a STATION NECKLACE, J482806, A CROSS, J482802 that can either be worn as a brooch or necklace [in the photos I have the chain doubled to shorten it], a CLIP ON EARRING J482804, and a BRACELET, J482876, that comes in two sizes………………….Years ago I did a group of jewelry called my BYZANTINE GROUP. It was before some of you knew about Linea. It was all reproduced from a group of jewelry I did at Anne Klein……It was a very successful group for so many reasons. The rich jewel colors, the antique gold that gave the pieces the  Byzantine look I wanted to achieve, and the fact that these are forever pieces that can be handed down  for generations to come. I believe those same reasons exist with this new group…….Each piece is beautifully executed…..All of the stations of the long necklace are double sided, so you never have to worry about which side it is on. There are stations where the cabochon stones are framed in gold. The other beads are fluted oval resin beads. Scattered between this color beads and stations are small gold beads. The bracelet is a reproduction of a bracelet I had made for Anne Klein years ago. It is beautifully made. Each cabochon bead is framed in gold, and each section is hinged so it wraps the wrist comfortably. It will be avail in two sizes……The clip earring is also an earring I did for Anne Klein along with the bracelet and station necklace………..The brooch/necklace is a wonderful piece. It is a long necklace, but the chain can be doubled. To do this remove the chain from the cross, double it and then slip it through the back ring. Then bring it around the neck and fasten with the Lobster claw. It may be easier to fasten it in the front so you can see what your doing and then slide the Lobster claw to the back. There is an artisan look to all of these pieces that gives them the look of pieces made long ago………I am showing them above on the new ivory blouse that comes with the scarf and the new Forest Green blazer………….Each piece is perfect for the Holidays and gift giving………..ALL oieces are available now………………………..enjoy……………….much Love………………………….Louis

………….I can not wait a second longer to thank all of you for you lovely and kind messages. I want you to know that I am very happy with my decision. I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I also want you to fully understand that in no way am I retiring! I’m will just not be taking that awful drive down to QVC anymore. I never have to see the Sheraton Hotel in Frazer again though I must thank the staff for being so wonderful these past 19 1/2 years. I won’t have to eat at the Outback by myself, which is the only restaurant within miles of the hotel! It’s a good thing they have decent salmon!…..Of course there are things that I will miss like explaining the clothes to all of you, but I can do that right here!!! I will miss not seeing the models, but we will make plans to see each other! We will meet in the city and see Broadway shows, and they all want to come to my house. We will be in touch. I will make sure of that…….SO….I will be here in what Jac called “our own separate peace”, enjoying looking out my windows, as I’m doing right now,  looking at the sea. I’ll be working from my 3rd floor studio, looking at the sea, and designing wonderful clothes, jewelry and hosiery for my friends……….What could be better than that!!!!!………So please don’t in any way feel sad for me. I’m happy as a clam surrounded by all of our things that Jac and I have collected over these many many years, doing what I love to do…….If you want me…..I’m right here 24/7…..What could be better than that!!!!!……………………………………………………………………

………………When we go to museums and look at abstract paintings we all have our own interpretations of what they look like, and what they mean to us………….When I first saw this art work, before it became a print, it immediately reminded me of the great cathedrals I have seen throughout Europe. I was reminded of their interior soaring arches and the incredible detail that was created and made by super craftsmen and artists centuries ago. The combination of the light streaming through the magnificent stain glass windows and the architecture were all brought to mind when I looked at this artwork….so the name of the print is very personal to me. You may see something else when looking at the print that is familiar and personal to you………….The Cathedral top above……A347493,……is simply called Blue. There are many shades of blue…the pale sky blue, the deepest navy blue, blue greens, and iris blues all blend together to create this unusual print………There are no “bells and whistles” or tricks to the shape. It has a classic jewel neckline, long sleeves, a semi fit and a straight bottom……..classic…….It’s all about the print. The length was pretty much determined by the print, and is approx. 26 inches for the xxs. The fabric is my poly jersey so you all know the cool hand and the quality of the fabric. It continues to be one of my best selling fabrics so I continue to use it. You can’t fight success. It washes beautifully and travels perfectly without any wrinkles or cling problems…………….I have accessorized the Blue Cathedral top with the BLUE CATHEDRAL NECKLACE & EARRING SET, J479219. It is a 72 inch continuous station necklace made of round GLASS BEADS in colors chosen to specifically work with the top…..so the match is perfect. You can wear this 72 inch necklace many ways. I have a few necklace shown above so you can see them better against the print…….The EARRING is a thin gunmetal hoop with three different color beads hanging down the center from a lever back, and all are weightless!…………….The NAVY pant is my super ponte crop pant…..A265615…..Long navy pants. short or long navy skirts and of course jeans will all look perfect!……..I must say the print is mesmerizing………………………………….enjoy………………………much Love…………………..Louis
