………………….As summer approaches I thought it would be a good time to bring back some of my most favorite pieces…..and yours……The Tie Dye Boho skirt was one…..the SAFARI SHIRT & TANK, is another, A214117…..This shirt is on its’ 6th reorder for good reason………..We all agree what makes the perfect Summer garment. Something that’s COOL and COMFORTABLE…..Something that floats on the body and doesn’t CLING…..Something that is very easy to wash and doesn’t need extra care. You can check off each of those boxes when it comes to this shirt….plus more. The CRINKLE GEORGETTE fabric is SHEER but not so sheer that you wouldn’t find it appropriate for work or church. I have said it many times on TV that it isn’t easy to find a summer top with a sleeve that isn’t going to be warm to wear……This is that blouse. There is just enough sheerness to give it an edge……the look of a beautiful chiffon blouse. The matching tank in the faux de Chine is all you will need, and it too is light as air. The buttons are REAL SHELL….If you are a woman who doesn’t like to show her arms this is for you, because it doesn’t look like you are trying to HIDE them! However, no one can see what it is you don’t like………The sleeves roll up, or should I say drape up, and there is a tab and button to keep them in place. Side slits gives this a more breezy casual look…….The two top pockets with buttoned flaps give you added coverage, and adds to the “Safari Look”………………Really, can you ever go wrong with a sheer black shirt and white or ivory pants, A302544……..It’s always a modern, sophisticated, chic timeless look…………Now, what does a black shirt and ivory pants cry for….some fabulous jewelry………….I have chose my NEW MOROCCAN NECKLACE & EARRING set in the BLACK and SILVER OX, J477193. This is a necklace that was inspired from many pieces of jewelry I saw in North Africa……so it was the perfect combination with the safari shirt…The necklace was reproduced from a real Moroccan piece in my collection. What is also wonderful about this jewelry is how LIGHT WEIGHT AND comfortable it is. All of the metal fluted and ribbed beads are hollow, so they are literally weightless……a very important fact for the earring!………………..I hope they continue to reorder this blouse, because there are many more colors I’d like to do it in…..but like the BOHO skirt you never know when the end will come. ……………………………What looks just as good as BLACK and WHITE…….WHITE and BLACK!……………….For me the Safari shirts in Black and White are must haves for summer. They look great with Capri pants, shorts, crops, dress pants or torn jeans……skirts of all lengths and shapes……It takes on a very nonchalant look when you wear it with the drappy, zip front black crop pant, A399647, now on clearance!!……Again, the MOROCCAN necklace set gives the outfit an exotic far away look that I love….You don’t have to go to Morocco to look like you have been there!…..To go with the BLACK & BRASS OX necklace, wear two roller bracelets….one BLACK, J390569 and one in the new BRASS OX, J477193…………………………………………..enjoy…………….much Love…………………………Louis

……………………………..What comes after BLACK & WHITE…………………… a dreamy color like the AQUAMARINE above……………….I could have easily called this color VERDIGRIS, because it blends with the VERDIGRIS jewelry perfectly……Above, the Lord of the Rings necklace in the Green Patina, J393304, and the Egyptian pendant in the Verdigris……………..The Khaki Boho skirt is the perfect NEUTRAL for ALL COLORS, A70208……It balances beautifully with the Verdigris jewelry, and is a soft contrast to the Aquamarine…….BTW, there will be more fabulous jewelry in Verdigris in your future!…………………………………….

…………………………….This color reminds me of my DAD…..why my Dad? When I used to visit my parents in Florida he always has a crate filled with Florida PINK GRAPEFRUITS……The inside, with the sweet juicy fruit, was this gorgeous color…………YUM!. I chose the new BEIGE Capri pant, A351410, another beautiful neutral, and two of the Lord of the Rings necklaces in COPPER OX, J393304, to finish the look……All so easy and effortless with maximum impact!. …………………………There is history behind this particular color NAVY………..Years ago, in the 80s, I did a very very dark Navy for Anne Klein. We even named it AK Navy. Buyers were worried that women wouldn’t understand it because how dark it was, and they would buy black instead. I tried to explain that for years I wore very dark navy pants and SOCKS, and the color was just not avail to women. Truth be told I always had to compare my black and navy socks in the sunlight to see which was which. To back up this Spring navy I introduced….I had the whole Spring Anne Klein shoe collection done in this dark AK Navy, which was not a color seen in the shoe market………Long story short….it was a hit with the customers, and became the AK Navy until the day I left………..NOW it’s the LINEA NAVY, and it has become just as successful as it was years past. This is a true Sailor Pea Coat navy, anything else, for me, isn’t a true navy. You may as well just call them BLUE!……….History does repeat itself. When I first suggested this dark navy to my QVC buyers the same objections came up as they did years ago….with the same results…..It has turned out to be one of my most successful colors. I just wish I could get one of the QVC shoe companies to make this dark navy instead of BLUE………I have noticed that other designers on the Q are doing very dark navies too, I’m flattered……I have heard them say their navies will always MATCH………..However, if you know anything about fabrics and dying them, who ever tells you that they will ALWAYS MATCH…..beware. That is an impossible statement to make about any color from season to season, and fabric to fabric. If it happens it’s a MIRACLE! The most I hope for is that they come very close, or at least tonal. I would say we at Linea have been very lucky through the years keeping our colors close……………………………………The NAVY SAFARI SHIRT should be a summer staple! With a “matching” navy bottom, or a white bottom you just can’t miss…….Add some bold jewelry…..like my POWER OF THE FLOWER [FLOWER POWER], J390567 necklace and earring set in gorgeous shiny GOLD, or my LORD OF THE RINGS necklace, J393304 set in gleaming SILVER, and you will look like a woman with impeccable taste…….Isn’t that something we would all like to be known for!………………………….enjoy……………………..much Love……………………Louis
