……………………Many of you have already purchased my “Insert Lace Top”, some of you in more than one color……I have heard from many of you telling me how much you love and appreciate the beauty and quality of this top…..I have heard from you even as far away as Venice, Italy………I feel that part of my responsibility as a designer is not only to dress you beautifully, but to make dressing EASY and ENJOYABLE……One of the ways to make dressing easier is to offer you the perfect accessories to wear with your apparel…….Some of the jewelry I design is generic, meaning there was no particular item of clothing I had in mind when I designed it…..like the Maasai group…..Then there is jewelry that I did design to go with specific items of clothing like the new CHANTILLY PEARL NECKLACE & EARRING SET, J393300. I felt it might be difficult to find the absolute perfect piece of jewelry to go with these delicate looking lace tops, so I designed what I think IMHO is the perfect necklace to wear with them. I knew the necklace had to make a statement, but not such a strong statement as to compete with delicacy of the top………PEARLS with LACE, for me was the answer. I wanted to keep metal to a minimum. The necklaces are 72 inches long with three inch extenders, so they are very versatile. Doubled, tripled or even quadrupled are all options for wearing the necklace………As far as the colors, the fabric was the answer. I decided to do two of the necklaces in alternating colors of the top. The necklace above is called ROSE MULTI…..more accurately it could have been named Rose/Beige….the two colors in the top………I also decided to use tiny metal links between each pearl to keep the necklaces as FLUID as possible. Many people do not realize this, but it is more expensive to HAND LINK the pearls together this way then to HAND KNOT them………I know…..I didn’t realize that either…..It actually takes more time to link each pearl. If you have ever seen people who do the hand knotting they have it down to a science, and actually do it relatively quickly…The EARRING is a simple DOUBLE drop of fine chain, and two pearls at different lengths using the two colors of pearls…..It has a lever back closing…..Again, for those who don’t have pierced ears it will be easy to convert to clips………The whole look of top and jewelry is in perfect harmony…..Even though I created the pearls to go with this specific top, you will find that they work with many other things you own……..Whether you wear the top with the pearls and a dressy bottom, or with jeans it is all very of the moment, and classic at the same time………There is a strong retro feel, a 20’s and 30’s look to this combination……….Being a fan of old movies where I get much inspiration from, I can’t help but think of Jennifer Jones in “Tender is the Night”, at least in my mind…………………………enjoy…………………..much Love……………………………Louis

………………………………The SAGE multi or Sage/Beige is the perfect match to the Insert Lace Sage top……..it should be, because I had the pearls made to go with this particular tone of sage green. The look is so feminine………You will find that this color pearl will work with many of the similar colors I have already done. You may own sage pieces either from myself or other garments you may already have that this necklace will blend beautifully with……….For me, if you do own this top in this color do yourself a huge favor…….get the pearls that coordinate so perfectly. Why fuss and bother trying to find a necklace that will look good when it’s already done for you……….Trust me when I say….nothing will look as good…….These are things you will own forever……………..enjoy…………………………..much Love……………………………….Louis

…………………………………..I decided to do the pearls in solid BEIGE to work with ALL of the Lace Inset tops……..the Sage, the Cloud Blue, the Antique Rose, and the Perfectly Pink….. In case you did decide to get the top in more colors you will feel confident that the BEIGE PEARLS will work with all. They are a wonderful neutral color, and have a beautiful LUSTER…….. That’s not to say you if you purchase the Beige pearls you shouldn’t purchase the pearls  in a bi-color combination like the sage/beige. I like them worn TOGETHER for a more LUXE look……..There are times when you may want to pile them on a la Chanel for a more dramatic look. It’s a wonderful evening look with a pair of languid wide leg pants………Talk about the roaring 20’s……………………………………enjoy…………………………………..much Love…………………………….Louis

………………………..The Maasai people have always been a source of inspiration for me……..Both the men and women dress with abandon….Notice the second picture in at the top left….There are two men in the background…..a handsome people!….Color and pattern are their calling cards…Even their make up, all natural….is fantastic…It’s all  a part of who they are…..The men and women carry their sense of style through with their jewelry….all hand crafted….They love collars and rows of beads mixed with cords of multi color fabrics. From these collar rings they hang a variety of beads, metal discs and shells. They dress up for both special occasions and no occasion at all…….notice the center bottom photo of the two women dressed in their togas, sarongs and jewelry….and BABY!…just to herd the cows!………They are a very proud uninhibited group of people, and are know for their style and the way they carry themselves. The men are all tall, slim and statuesque, and wear their piled on jewelry proudly……We can all learn from these people, and their FREEDOM and exuberant enjoyment of life………… joie de vivre is how they live……………………………………………enjoy…………………much Love……………………………………Louis
