………………..Dear Rochelle, Firstly welcome back….you have been missed………..I never answer questions with pictures, but your question tweaked my curiosity…….”does the Jac’s Garden blouse work with the red/navy tartan?”………yes, and no…….There are those of you who would never ever consider mixing prints with plaids….not even the mini floral that was deigned to go with it….so this combination is way out of your comfort zone….For those of you who like to mix, and are more experimental in how you dress, this is a combination I did find interesting. So, why the yes and no? For you purists who want everything to match perfectly you may find that the red ground of the print is to tomato for the red in the plaid, and yes it is, but it doesn’t bother me. I like the off handedness of the combination, and if you already own the pieces definitely put them together….especially with jeans which makes the whole thing more casual. The black ground print of course doesn’t match the navy of the plaid, but the navy is very dark, so once again I didn’t mind them together, and the colors in the print work with the plaid. You didn’t ask about the ivory ground print, but since I was experimenting I gave it a try too, and I like it a lot. None of the colors clash, and it was sort of like wearing a white shirt……For the skeptics you could always try one of the Jac’s Garden scarves. Mixing a print scarf with a plaid is perfectly acceptable to most………………..I hope this answers you question Rochelle, and don’t be a stranger!
……………..much Love……………….Louis
Enjoy my Labor Day view with me! Happy Labor Day!
………………………Usually Labor Day is a day to rejoice. The last big Holiday of the summer season…..Some may even mark it as the end of summer since, for the most part, summer house rentals are over the the kids go back to school……What a different message this Labor Day has for me! All I can think of are all the many people who work every day to protect us and service us…….the HEROS!…..Who would have thought a year ago Labor Day what would have been in store for not only us Americans, but the world………This Labor Day I want to thank all of the scientists, doctors, nurses, and essential workers who take care of us every day……….As we go about our sequestered lives, I can only imagine what their daily lives are about! I pray for all of them and thank them for everything they are doing for us……Their labor is never done………………God Bless……………………..much Love……………………….Louis
