…………………Was just thinking considering what’s going on today with social distancing, and the fact that there is no visiting loved ones, maybe we can cheer them up with a little present. With Mother’s Day just five weeks away it’s not to soon to think of how to celebrate. I really can’t think of a prettier and more cheerful present for MOTHER’S DAY than a Jac’s Garden SCARF or BLOUSE……or even both…..and they can be delivered to their door…..Flowers are always a welcome present, and PANSIES, with their heart felt message of “Thinking Of You”, would be perfect. The Pansy is also a symbol of CONSIDERATION for someone’s pain or distress. This is an ideal gift for someone who is going through some difficult moments in life, and needs a little bit of comfort……Real flowers will wither away, but these will last forever along with your thoughts of love. I can’t imagine opening a present with Jac’s floral print inside that wouldn’t cheer anyone up……………….just a thought………………………much Love, Louis
……………….The time has come, that once in a year time when our Daffodils and Pansies are in their full glory. This sight brings back so many memories….. sweet memories that fill my heart.
……………………….The SAMBURU people are a related tribe of the Maasai……..They too are herders……..They eat raw meat and drink the warm blood of their animals mixed with the warm milk of the cows………Well, maybe I’ll draw the line with their eating habits, but on every other level they are an INSPIRATION…..There are many men featured in these pictures, because I was struck with their confidence, and desire to be the peacocks of the tribe. They are just as decorated with their beads, head dresses, painted faces and brightly colored clothes as the women. How could you not be inspired by these extroverted, free spirited people…………………………..enjoy…………………..much Love……………………..Louis
…………………………There are similarities between the Maasai and the new Samburu necklaces, bracelets and earrings, but the DIFFERENCES are substantial……..The Samburu necklace is THREE ROWS of COLORFUL stripe cording, J487845…..brighter colors than the Maasai cording…….It has the same brass rings on each row, but hanging from the rings are brightly colored SHELL NUGGETS…..all in all a very colorful necklace…..very indicative of the Samburu people…..The bracelet is a CUFF style, J487843. It has FIVE ROWS of the colorful SHELL NUGGETS interspersed with GOLD BEADS. Towards the back the nuggets are replaced with smaller multi color seed beads where the cuff ends, and it divides and stretches to easily get it on and off……see photo at lower left………The pierced earring is a HOOP style, J487849. It starts at the top with one row of small seed beads, and then divides into two rows of small shell nuggets….see photos above…….For those who love to layer for a more EXOTIC look I have combined the Samburu with the three row BEACH NUGGET SHELL necklace…………..These pieces are very very special.
