It has come to my attantion that the FS&H is not posted on the new items. I have spoken to my jewelry company about this as I was told ALL jewelry would have it. All jewelry will have it…..eventually this week so hold off on the new until the FS&H is posted the wheel turns v e r r y s l o w l y
According to a call from Jennifer there has been a last minute change in tonight’s PM STYLE. They have dropped the Ombre Leopard and have added in it’s place the new CREPE GAUZE TRENCH! which I have been told has been posted!!! Don’t ask me why!!!! It’s all a mystery to me…………….PLEASE DO NOT LOOK AT THE QVC PHOTOS! They have no style at all!! They belted the jackets the way an old man in a polyester leisure suit would. They didn’t cinch it at all making the coat look like a box…..just bad….Look at my sneak peeks if you want to know what they really look like……..It’s very frustrating………………Louis
………..ATTENTION…..I HAVE JUST GOTTEN WORD THAT THIS CREPE GAUZE TRENCH HAS BEEN ADDED TO TONIGHT’S PM STYLE!!!!! This was due for March but they made it HOT, and it will be shown tonight. Due to this last minute addition it will not be styled as I would have done in a normal showing….but it’s a trench so it doesn’t need to be styled. I gave Jennifer how I would like to see them….Let’s see if she can pull it off…. The CARGO PANT WILL NOT BE ON TONIGHT’S SHOW SO I GUESS THEY ARE HOLDING IT FOR MARCH???, which at this point will be the only new item!!!! They have moved all of the March items up to Feb
………..I have wanted to do the “TRENCH JACKET” in the GAUZE CREPE for the longest time!……..WHY?…..For many many reasons. Firstly, I love the ageless and dramatic look of a trench. Secondly, I wanted a trench “JACKET” in a weight that can be worn all year……and INDOORS! You all know the fabric from various styles….the unlined safari blazer, A366195, the long shirt topper jacket, A302565, tunics such as A349646, and the pants, A341736 and A302597 . For a layering piece in gauze crepe, just to keep the fabrics the same and consistent with that column of color there is the tank, A293753, and A302566…………….This Trench jacket has ALL OF THE DETAILS of the coats….the traditional double breasted, the trench collar with the metal hook, the removable epaulettes, the trench flaps front and back, the button pockets, the back vent, the sleeve straps, the self tie belt with buckle……..and the double belt loops for adjustability……..What it doesn’t have is a LINING to keep it light in weight, and shoulder pads for a more unconstructed look…….The princess seam gives the JACKET a good shape so it has a slimming effect. You can adjust how much shape you want with how much you tie the belt in the back as shown above. You can be as shaped as you want! The length of the jacket is approx. 31 inches for the SIZE 4, which is much shorter than the coats…….Wear it open for that swaggering look or buttoned up for a more svelte trim look. Belt it for a traditional trench look…….Any way you choose to wear it you are a winner! ……………….To wear with your TRENCH JACKET or with many other things is the GAUZE CREPE CARGO PANT, A374713 in the reg. and A for the petite. This is an unlined pull-on style. The waist band if FULLY ELASTIC, but the front section, thought stretchy, is flat without shirring over the tummy……Refer to sketch….The leg of the pant is easy and languid for the spring/summer season. A pant that will allow AIR TO FLOW in the summer is NECESSARY!…..There are menswear slant pockets which create zero bulk in this easy pant……..The CARGO POCKET is very subtle and does not add width or thickness to the leg. It has a button flap. This pocket is more for detail and style than for function, though it can be used if you wish….I think this will be one of your go to summer pants when it starts to get warm, and you don’t want anything HUGGING the leg keeping the heat in…When you want a pant that flows away from you skin, keeps you cool, ad moves with grace….this is it……..I love it worn with a simple white tee tucked in…..a woven belt and the NEW BLACK & WHITE MAASAI NECKLACE, BRACELET and EARRING! ……………….BLUE is the PANTONE color of the season……….Exactly what shade of blue I am not sure, so I can not claim this is “the” blue!….but then I never use Pantone colors anyway. I like to search and develop my own colors rather than have them handed to me……The exploration is part of the fun of designing………………The BLUE I have chosen is a softened blue with a touch of gray…..a very Milanese color…..For some they may see a touch of periwinkle…..All in all it is a very soothing color, and not an aggressive color at all, so it is easy to wear top to bottom. Never forget that these are separates in the true sense of AMERICAN SPORTSWEAR, and are also meant to be worn with other things……such as the CROP NAVY SUPER PONTE PANT shown in the tiny photo at the upper right. An Ivory or White bottom in any style from a dress to a short skirt to a dress pant, jeans, Capri, crop pants or shorts will all look great.
