……………….The month of Aug. in the fashion firmament, is the beginning of Fall. With Sept. right around the corner and Oct. soon to follow, we start to introduce Fall clothing in Aug. so by the time you get them delivered the time will soon come to wear them…….that also depends where you live………..For August I am introducing my first Fall BIG DEAL!……It is something you have been asking for for a long time……a WHISPER KNIT…..plus three WHISPER KNIT coordinating pieces……………..The Big Deal is the OPEN FRONT CARDIGAN, A384382. The stitch for the cardigan is a very fine “ENGLISH RIB”. How is an English rib different from a basic rib? When you look at the rib fabric, the rib is always exactly the same on the front and back. This uses more yarn than a basic rib…This special rib keeps the fabric flat, and prevents the rib from “sucking” in…..which is a fear many women have when they hear the word or see a rib. This cardigan follows the lines of the body. I would call this a sleek or tailored cardigan. By that I mean it is TRIM, not baggy, straight or over sized. The cardigan does have some shape. It is fully fashioned over the hips to give a nice SUBTLE curved shape…The XXS is approx. 29-30 inches “hanging”. There is a flat band down the front that lays beautifully. There are also pockets made in the same rib knit so they blend perfectly with the sweater body….I would recommend selecting your usual WK size. Don’t be fooled by measurements. Rib measurements are always deceiving because of the extra stretch…..There are THREE additional BISQUE WK sweaters to coordinate with the cardigan and many other Bisque pieces too……..First you have the BISQUE WK JERSEY TANK, A384150, that is available right now. It is still avail in all sizes, but when this group is presented I think the Bisque tank will go quickly….It’s perfect for the south, and great for layering….It also alows you to wear these pieces in the spring when your turtle necks are stored away…….The second piece is the BISQUE EVERY NEEDLE RIB SLEEVELESS TURTLENECK, A384496, which has the same ENGLISH rib fold over TN as the cardigan body…….The third WK piece is the LONG EVERY NEEDLE RIB SKIRT, A384497. If this skirt looks familiar that’s because it is. Many of you already own this WK skirt. It has TWO TUBULAR BANDS going down the back which creates the slit at the bottom. These tubular bands are a very “designer” detail. It prevents the slit in the knit fabric from curling! The style number of the old skirt was “killed” because it hadn’t been reorder. When we decided to bring it back it had to be given a new number. Also avail in Aug. will be THREE additional Bisque coordinates, which will be featured in the next Sneak Peek……..I also created FIVE new pieces of jewelry to coordinate with ALL of the Big Deal colors………Above, is the “FEZ PENDANT”. It’s in SILVER OX with Bisque and Grey beads. These are not flat opaque looking beads. They are translucent, and some are marled and some are veined…….All have a uniqueness, and look like semi-precious beads. There are also scattered Silver Ox beads. The Fez is a shorter necklace, but does have a three inch extender, and Lobster claw closing [think Anniversary pendant length]…….The second necklace shown is the TRIPLE STRAND BEAD NECKLACE. The beads and the silver ox beads are the same as those in the Fez pendant, so they can be worn together, and they are fabulous together! Unfortunately, due to the Corona Virus [lack of workers in the factories, and shipping facilities], the deliveries of the jewelry is a month late…..however they will be avail just when you will need them.
