“JULY 04”
………………………..July 04 started Fall for the new year…….Chains were the main theme. There were two suede jackets The first at the top was a gently shaped jacket with a shirt color and band pockets. It had body seams from the shoulders to the hem, front and back to give a shape and avoid any boxy look…….On the back there was a SEPARATE BELT that buttoned on with gold buttons same as the front. This belt had a CHAIN EMB. which you can see in two pictures….the one next to the jacket sketch, and one below the skirt sketch. The short pencil skirt was also in suede with the same removable chain emb. belt. I had the belts made removable so you could wear the jacket and skirt without the emb chain belt for move versatility. Both the jacket and skirt came in black, brick red and olive…….The sketch of the silk chain print shirt had small gold buttons [you can see one on the black fabric swatch]. The blouse also came in the three coordinating colors that could be worn with the jacket and skirt……The suede long, slightly A-lined skirt below had a DOUBLE LAYER OF SUEDE FRINGE. The waist band and the strip down the side front of the wrap skirt was in tonal leather! You can see the now faded swatches to the left of the sketch……Olive, Brown and Topaz……….the raglan sleeve sweater had a roll over collar that partially buttoned up with the same gold buttoned that were on everything in this group. It came in the olive, brown, ivory and topaz…….I’m not sure if the next open front suede jacket was produced? I remember it very clearly. It was banded in tonal leather and had wonderful gold tiny stud emb. around the collar, down the front and around the bottom hem. It also had a wonderful heraldic symbol on the sleeve……..If it wasn’t sold in July then we must have held it for another month!?
