………………………Jan and Feb were quite small in numbers of new items but March made up for it….Starting at the top was the “Poet’s shirt” in the signature cotton/span. It had a wonderfully easy comfortable fit which made it very popular. The bib front and the front placket that ended with a button tab below the bib were just some of the special details. The “mitten patch pockets”, the roll up sleeve with button tabs, and the side slits added to the verve of the top. It came in khaki and white. This top should have been a reorder…..but…..TPTB felt it was in competition with a top coming out from another vendor and was dropped to my chagrin….They didn’t want them to compete even though mine came out first….politics……The blazer at the lower left was in a wonderful stretch cotton sateen. It had great tailoring and all the seams 1/2 inch top stitching….It was the colors that, for me, made this a very special jacket…The limeade was so refreshing. it had a whitened look that keep it from being to bright and acidic…….The frosted lilac had a slight grey tinge which kept it sophisticated…..and the sand in the sateen finish cotton looked rich, and anything but dull…..The poly/rayon tank was designed to go with the cotton sateen jacket and it was done in the same colors. What was special about this tank was…..at the bottom of the scoop neckline was shirring just to add a little femininity………but the special touch was the tiny, dyed to match georgette ruffles trimming the neckline and armhole…..The last piece was a very special fabric of WASHED CHARMUSE  for a romantic tunic. It glided over the body and felt like very expensive lingerie. It was offered in champagne, frosted lilac and pale aqua. This was one of those special pieces that appealed to a certain woman. A woman that wanted luxury fashion pieces in her life.

………………..February 2011 had some wonderful fabrics, textures and a range of colors to suit all tastes. The swing cotton hounds tooth jacquard lined jacket was a reorder….It had a button front, funnel neck and turn back cuffs on the sleeves. The body seams were on the diagonal to follow the shape of the jacket. It had inseam pockets. The new color was BLACK, and the returning colors were white, yellow, hot pink and Kelly green. The mock neck elbow sleeve sweater was also a reorder. It came in the same colors as the jacket with the addition of the new black…..The new cotton twill jacket had all of the Linea touches. It had gold zipper teeth trims on the top yokes, the lapel and collar. It had four gold buttons down the front. Exposed zippers were on the 3/4 sleeves, and on the pockets which added even more sparkle. It came in sage. ivory and black. There was also a wonderful matching pencil skirt in the same cotton twill. The back slit had an exposed zipper to open and close it. A sexy little touch….The cotton/span knit top had short sleeves and an Empire seam. The zipper opened up to a V-neck which was also trimmed with the god zipper teeth. It came in the same sage and black…….The safari jacket, which was a constant theme for me through out my career, was made in a faux crepe de Chine. It had wonderful faux tortoise buttons, and was offered in chino, olive and butter. It had a drawstring that went though a self fabric tunnel. There were many details including top yokes front and back, four patch pockets with buttoned flaps, roll up sleeves with button tabs……This is an iconic style, and authentic design that will never go out of style.

……………….This jacket was reordered many times and here are just a few of the colors…..I would bet there are those of you who have or had more than one color.

……………………………For February 2011 two new styles were added for PM STYLE…..The three button blazer was in a woven crepe. It had beautiful gold rimmed buttons with pearl domed centers, which I used again and again. They were like pieces of jewelry on a jacket….The sketch shows a black collar, but I believe we eliminated it…….It came in Pearl, Black and Perfectly Pink….I think there are many of you who still might have this jacket?…..The anorak was in a marvelous Nylon/Poly blend. It had a textured surface, like a ripple, and an iridescent finish. The drawstring created an Empire waist. The exposed zipper front, the funnel collar and patch pockets gave it a fresh timeless modern look….It came in Sage which wa beautiful in the iridescent fabric with the gold zippers, grommets and snaps on the sleeves to hold the roll up sleeve tabs. The Ivory and Black also had gold trims.
